It’s very funny to me that top/bottom discourse apparently got so intense in the Naruto fandom that sns became the default ship tag for Naruto and Sasuke. Nobody tops. Nobody bottoms.

Coming back from the dead for a minute to say that as someone who was super active in (and is still a quiet member of) the Neji Support Squad ™️, it is never okay to treat someone like garbage for having a different opinion about him, or Hinata, or anyone else. I’ve seen things getting heated lately and I do not support harassment of real-life people over fictional characters. End of story.

The world need more Itachi fans who are actually against konoha and understand that what Itachi went through was brainwashing by a cult

If people wanna blame someone for Sakura being a “bad,” character, they should blame Kishimoto. That man has no skills in writing women. He gave her all the bad traits.
Kishimoto writes women well. People are allowed to hate Sakura if they want. Stop caring about what others think of your faves and ships. Once you reach fandom nirvana you will feel a lot better. I promise.

Boruto is only anime where I wish ending was "it was all just a dream"
Boruto is the embodiment of that one meme that was going on, the "by talos, this can't be happening?"
Like how can you, as the original creator fuck up a classic like that??? Like cmon man!

Thank god for sns au fanfiction writers who write them in character but with healthy communication and regular plot instead of toxic or grandeur one. I lived for the drama when i used to read sns fics years ago but i can see now that the fandom is growing up and i love it

do you think ACAB has a place in the naruto universe?
of course! throughout the series we repeatedly see examples of how konoha's oppressive shinobi & clan systems result in tragedy (obito, neji, pain, itachi, etc.) and even hear characters vocalize their desires to change or outright abolish these systems. even in the 'real world', acab goes beyond simply identifying policing as an inherently oppressive and harmful system—it invites us to reimagine a world in which safety and wellbeing are not tethered to structures of violence. this desire for reimagining remains a theme throughout the series, from naruto’s land of waves proclamation that he’ll operate outside the shinobi system if it asks him to betray his personal values to the founders declaring as children that they want to create a village in which children aren’t expected to fight and die for their clans (obviously that...didn’t really pan out lol) to sasuke and the akatsuki’s goal of total shinobi system abolition. it’s unfortunate that ultimately both naruto and sasuke yield to the demands of the shinobi system in the end, but i also think that it’s a realistic portrayal of the ways in which structures of violence overwhelm and forcibly assimilate (or annihilate) those who question them.

Look, there's a reason your post hasn't gained any traction and it's probably because you know and everyone else knows how wrong it is.
You can't be making money off of fanfiction. Especially fanfiction you're already uploading to AO3.
If it was your own original works where you could set up a subscription like patreon, you'd probably gain the support you're looking for.
"Pay $5 for early access to fanfic chapters that are scheduled to be posted publicly anyway" sounds shady af and you know it. Especially for popular fandoms like One Piece, Naruto, BNHA, etc.

PLEASE READ!!!! (again)
i literally thought that this was done and over with, but that doesn’t seem like the case.
the user @avaricious-hoe is on wattpad! however, they have 47 different stories that are all STOLEN from naruto writers! i recently discovered this because a friend of mine found their account and found that every post has been copied from other writers. now while they haven’t copied my work this time, there are many other posts on there from other writers and i believe that this should be brought to light because she should NOT be getting away with this yet again.
screenshots of the works (didn’t include all because there were 47):

“Shikamaru is sexist!”
In beginning he did unfortunately say some misogynistic things about girls and how much he didn’t want to fight girls and “why do I always end up fighting girls,” in OG Naruto, but he was like 12/13 and he gradually got better as the series went on.
Also, HES A FICTIONAL CHARACTER!
I don't even remember OG Naruto, but people are too easily offended nowadays. Who cares about what he said about girls??? Who cares about him saying he doesn't want to fight them???
Woke bums find anything to complain about.

How A Monkey, PETA, And Wikipedia May Have Saved Us All From AI Art
Tumblr media
See that glorious monkey right there? That is Naruto the macaque, the hero that might have saved us all. That photo comes from a man named David Slater, or more importantly, was taken by Naruto using his equipment. Recently, a comic using AI-generated art was determined intelligible for copyright protection. The reason why? Copyrighted works must be created by humans to gain official copyright protection. Wanna know the legal precedent for that? Read on!
This all comes from a lawsuit that David Slater filed trying to get Wikipedia to remove the pictures from its Wikimedia Commons image library because the picture was made by a non-human, incapable of holding copyright. Therefore, the picture was technically in the public domain. The United States Copyright Office confirmed this as true in 2014. Well, this is when PETA comes into play. They decided to sue to David Slater himself as he published the pictures in a book, stating that the monkies should be able to hold their own copyright of the work, they did take the pictures after all! The original case was dismissed, but PETA brought it up to an appeals court. Despite the two parties deciding some of the money should be donated to help the monkies that he made from his work, the court of appeals declined to dismiss the appeal and declined to vacate the lower court judgment.
Tumblr media
So in April 2018, it was made clear that animals cannot hold copyrights. Essentially, non-humans cannot hold copyrights. While arguments were made way back when Wikipedia was tussling legally with David Slater that a significant amount of human influence on art could maybe count, like giving the monkies the camera, it seemed proven in court it didn't. So no, typing in prompts into a non-human AI isn't enough to actually be considered as creating something yourself, at least not legally. Sorry not sorry AI art fans!
