I am utterly and completely convinced that Kevin, fresh out of the Nest, was given his 02 Palmetto State Fox uniform. He can't wear it yet officially but he has it and he uses it as inspiration. Works out in it for his PT to hype himself up about being able to wear it to official games.

He is then met with the reality that there is no one coming to do his laundry like there was in the nest. He thinks 'Well... hot sanitizes right?" and proceeds to use both warm water and high heat to the point that even the Cotton Synthetic Fiber jersey shrinks to unwearable levels.

Kevin is now faced with the option of going up to Coach Wymack (his secret dad) and admitting his mistake or this is what he has to work with. He tries it on and the crop-top booty shorts combo has Nicky hollering, Andrew staring and Kevin deciding to just admit his mistake and then talk to Abby about how to wash them properly.

Projecting my own teen experiences onto the kiddads bc I’m out of the house rn and I think it’s funny

Terry: took a parenting class in 12th grade and on the first night of his culminative assignment he ended up crying, naked wrapped in a towel, on the bathroom floor after the robot baby interrupted him pre-shower.

Lark: left for school in the morning then walked around for two blocks before heading back home, after his parents went to work. Snuck in through his bedroom window on more than one occasion, when either parent stayed home. Did this for a week straight.

Sparrow: got clocked as aspec before he even realized while out at a cafe during lunch with Rebecca, but she told him she didn’t mind because she’s good with her hands and can just think about him??

Grant: while on a date w/ his high school boyfriend at the fair, his boyfriend’s mother tracked him down just to argue with him. Grant attempted to slip away to offer some privacy but his boyfriend kept an iron grip on his hand, so he spent the next several minutes awkwardly turned away from the argument.

Nick: during an orthodontist appointment, was recommended to install metal springs because he kept forgetting to wear his elastics. Without even discussing it, Jodie gave the okay for the springs but the smallest size available were too big - therefore not installed - and Nick refused to speak to Jodie for the rest of the day.

Everyone always references this quote from TFC as the first sign that Andrew had a thing for Neil

But they always ignore that it's Andrew's response to this exchange:

It does a huge disservice to make Andrew stepping in here about a crush on the mysterious new hot kid

Andrew doesn't trust Neil. He doesn't want him there and he won't leave him alone with Kevin for any amount of time. DESPITE THIS he comes to defend Neil and reprimand his cousin for ignoring Neils No.

He could have left it alone and let Nicky keep pressing Neil because he doesn't trust the new kid and so what does he care if Nicky makes a rape joke? Instead he tells Nicky to stop and not touch Neil since he has already said No. If Neil was in to Nicky's advances I fully believe that Andrew would not have gotten involved

This is about Nicky perpetuating the trauma that Andrew has been subject to since he was seven

And how does Nicky respond?

By ignoring everything Andrew says, leading Andrew to reinforce his point with a blade to the ribs. He is so angry that he won't stop until one of his deals is brought up and he has to redirect his focus.

In the moment it seems extreme, but in hindsight it's clear that this was a response to Andrews past trauma. It devalues the scene to make it about a crush
