Fable - the mage

Link: The hero of Legend

Age: 19

• The most confident in herself, though sometimes can be seen as insensitive or stuck up.

• The most skilled in magic out of the group, but definitely not the most powerful. Knows a lot about how magic works and helps to teach Flora who struggles with harnessing her power since her magic is so incredibly strong.

• Like Legend, she has a strong personality and can come across as abrasive. She found it very hard at first to work with a team.

• She and Athena are very close. They usually plan out battles as they would be the most strategic Zeldas, but they would often butt heads as they can both be quite stubborn.

• The healer of the group. One of the physically weaker zeldas but when it comes to magic she can hold her own in a fight.

• she has a secret soft spot that comes out rarely, but would much rather keep up the confident and snarky persona as she isn’t a very emotional person and gets uncomfortable showing her true feelings.

• She rules her eras Hyrule all by herself and looks up to Lullaby, as in her time she was taught about how great a queen she was in school.

• figured out that she, Dusk and Tetra are all direct successors of lullaby but doesn’t understand how it is possible as she was unaware of the split in the timeline.

• Finds tetras antics hilarious much to suns dismay.

• Can sometimes take things such as banter too far but she will always own up to her mistakes and do all she can to apologise.

• Has telepathy, she can hear the others thoughts and communicate with them in their minds. Comes in very handy in a fight.

• if there is a secret in the group she’ll know about it, but will always keep her mouth shut. Nothing ever gets past her.

• She doesn’t appreciate Hylia very much for putting Link through so many adventures and causing her and the others so much suffering. Unlike the others she isn’t afraid to bring up the subject around sun.

Relationship With Link

• She and Legend are best friends and are extremely close, When they’re together they’re basically joined at the hip.

• They constantly have banter and get into silly arguments and debates (eg: is a tomato a fruit or vegetable?), to anyone else it would look like they hated each other but they care deeply about one another - even if they don’t show it.

• The two know everything there is to know about each other and if they sleep over at each others houses they will stay up late into the night and have deep and emotional conversations.

• Legend is the only person that Fable allows herself to fully open up to.

• She and legend will constantly steal each others clothes, and sometimes she even steals legend’s magical items. She gives ravio rupees every time to help with business (and to make sure he stays quiet)

• If they argue, no matter how heated, they’ll get over it in a day or two and apologise. She can’t stay mad at Legend.

• Sometimes Legend lets her paint his nails and do his make-up. She made him model her dresses once and he found that he liked it. Legend once caught her trying on his old hero outfit after calling his hat dumb. He has never let her live it down.

• When one of them finds a new book to read they will both get copies of it and geek out about it whenever they see eachother. They’re actually both huge nerds but pretend not to be.

This was supposed to be a timeline for all the mys ships that did/might happen in my rewrite(which isn't even started but shh). It ended up being just me ranting about mys!Garrance.

At first, it follows smh. But then. It's just me rambling. Well. It's me rambling in general.

tw for mentions of homophobia and smoking.

Now, now, i think i've been neglecting these two recently. Honestly I don't even remember how I started shipping them but I did, and years later here I am, still drawing and writing about gay block men.They're literally engaged in mys and no one is convincing me otherwise(<- this whole thing will get its own post eventually). Uhm, okay, now that I got that out of my system, maybe I should give some actual hcs.

◇ Garroth is a year older than Laurance.

◇ They used to be close friends when they were little(most of the mys cast knew eachother in childhood at some extent), but once they entered their teenage years they grew apart,and the fact that Garroth and his family moved away when Garroth started high-school not helping their situation.

◇ Garroth did his freshman year and a bit of his sophomore year in O'Kasis Academy, but due to not being able to fit in ended up moving to Phoenix Drops High(after a lot of complains and pleases from him and Zianna towards Garte).

◇ Well, when he got in PDH, Laurance has been there already for like half a year(he was a freshman), and was already hanging around the Shadow Knights, so as you may imagine Garroth and Laurance didn't really got to interact a lot.

◇ In that summer, Laurance and Gene broke up for unknown reasons. The entire school, of course, found out about that.

◇ Garroth did try to get closer to Laurance that year. It did not work.

◇ Laurance spent that year mostly alone, with the daily interruptions of some people who were trying to try their chances with him.

◇ They started finally getting closer again when the 'canon' started(Laurance's junior year, Garroth's senior year)

◇ Aph basically made them interact by befriending them both and making them sit together every single day.

◇ Regardless, Laurance and Garroth started hanging out together on their own not long after.

◇ Laurance fell first. Garroth fell harder.

◇ They never got together in high school, actually, though it was pretty obvious they liked each other.

◇ Originally, Garroth didn't even realise he caught feelings. Man was busy, ok? He was thinking about college, and besides, his father would NEVER accept one of his sons being queer-

◇ The realisation that he is, in fact gay hit him like a brick.

◇ Regardless, that's a subject for another time.

◇ Aph and Travis, the best wingmen EVER.

◇ They were hyping up Garroth's every move. It was very obvious what was happening, for everyone but Laurance, that is.

◇ Laurance had long rants about his 'secret crush'.

◇ it was not a secret.

◇ They were very in love. But a bit too stupid.

◇ Anyway. Garroth leaves for college next year(thankfully for him missing most of the Ein situation)

◇ Laurance weeps the entire year.

◇ He still finds ways to make Garroth visit though

◇ Be it complaining about forgetting his lunch and being too busy to go and get something for himself or being about cigarettes.

◇ Garroth, of course, 'falls for it' every time.

◇ Laurance finds out Garroth was planning on cutting off his family entirely(temporarily, he regains contact with Zianna and Vylad a bit later on. He litteraly wakes up with Zane going to a college close to his)

◇ Basically, he takes Laurance with him.

◇ But first, Garroth goes to his last family dinner for a while, Laurance there's to. Garte isn't pleased.

◇ Well, they clearly make an exit.

◇ They're dating at that point, sharing their first kiss in the car. Very romantic.

◇ While college they share an apartment somewhere close by.

◇ When they meet the rest of the cast ABSOLUTELY NO ONE is surprised that they're dating.

◇ Of course, after college, they move in together, somehow being persuaded by Dante to let him move in with them.

◇ They get engaged in Emerald Secret, I'll expand on that eventually.

◇ Pet names. A lot of them. From both sides.

◇ They don't do pda a lot because Garroth doesn't feel comfortable doing so, but behind close doors, Garroth IS the clingy one

◇ They're still holding hands almost 98% of the time,though

◇ It doesn't bother Garroth that much that Laurance smokes, but he still tries convincing Laurance to do it less and less.

◇ Which actually works because Laurance does smoke much less than he used to! He is trying to give up on it completely, not only for Garroth but himself. But of course, as any addiction, it's hard.

◇ Anyway. They aren't very jealous. Of course, there is some type of jealousy there, but it's rare, and they usually talk it out privately.

◇ Kisses.

◇ They are hyping up each other constantly.

◇ I just like them being happy, ok?

◇ As I said before, mys!Garroth is a dog person, mys!Laurance is a cat person.

◇ Yeah, so...Ungrth and Raven. Not so much of mystical creatures in this one, are they?

◇ Those two are their kids. They don't actually really want actual human kids. Not now, at least. Maybe later.

◇ Their idea of the best date is lying on the couch together with some snacks while watching crappy movies

◇ It's a bit hard when a certain someone is blasting music from the basement(cough Travis cough)

◇ They love him tho

◇ They also miss Dante sometimes(<- moved out eventually)

◇ Laurance knows how to play the guitar. I think you know what he has done with this ability.

◇ It was in private, though. Garroth might have sobbed a bit(/pos).

◇ Laurance also blasts music while he does his part of the chores. It's country music. It's the only time when he actively listens to it.

◇ Something about his fiancé and country music combined is very attractive to Garroth.

◇ mys!Garroth doesn't know how to cook(does not stop his from complaining about Laurance's way to do things tho, in a light-hearted manner, obvs). mys!Laurance is a very good cook.

◇ Garroth likes reading a lot. He sometimes reads to Laurance before sleep.

◇ They're eachothers comfort.

◇ Cadenza made it clear that if they ever have a wedding, SHE'LL design the suits. Of course, no one complained.

◇ Speaking of, the Zvhals adore Garroth.

◇ The Ro'Meaves. Uhm. Well. Garte dislikes Laurance. A lot. Zianna adores him, though! Vylad and Laurance are friends(I have yet to work on their dynamic in mys, so that's all I have for now). And then there's Zane. Mys!Zane and mys!Laurance are the best yet worst frenemies you'll ever meet.

◇ Speaking of, Garte hates more the fact that Garroth is dating Laurance than the fact that Garroth is gay.

◇ He got used to Garroth's 'queerness'. But not with Laurance.

◇ Laurance doesn't stand Garte either for obvious reasons.

◇ They went over for a family dinner once. Yeah. It was even worse this time.

◇When they first started dating, journalists were all over them. Garroth hated it, Laurance wouldn't have cared too much if it didn't bother Garroth.

◇They are being left relatively alone nowadays

Another thought just popped into my head. What if all the wacky phenotypes in One Piece are because of devil fruit lineage factors? On top of all the nonhumans like minks and fishmen and mermaids, it's apparently normal for a full-blooded human to be 20+ feet tall or have horns. We've seen devil fruits that make you bigger (like the one San Juan Wolf ate for complete overkill). And as I said in my previous post, Saint Jay Garcia Saturn possibly just opened up a pandora's box for the existence of demon zoans which could explain the likes of Kaidou and Moriah.

What if the Void Century was what happened after devil fruits first came into existence? The original fruit users freely had children, passing on traits given to them by their fruits which caused said children to be born as mutants. The world government covered it all up. They made devil fruits restricted and controlled exclusively by them, and they banished all the mutants they could find to remote islands in the Grand Line. The ones who could never pass as human, that is. The ones that looked like animals, the ones too large to live in cities, the ones with extra body parts. They all had to go. But a pair of small horns here and there, some sharp teeth, growing only a few feet taller than normal...those flew under the radar and remained in the gene pool. That's how we got characters like Shoujou and Merry. What is the difference between Shoujou and an orangutan mink? Or Merry and a sheep mink? Their ancestors weren't Different enough to be banished to Zou 800 years ago. For those who weren't so lucky though, those centuries of isolation caused the inhuman traits to become endemic to their islands- cemented into the populations generation after generation until none of their offspring could ever be human-passing. They became known as the minks, the giants, the long-arms, the long-legs...yes, even the fishmen and mermaids since we know thanks to Kaidou that Fish Fish fruits exist. All of these "races" are freely able to interbreed with humans and eachother, showing that they are still fundamentally the same species. Which is best demonstrated by the Charlotte family where Big Mom basically has a bingo card she's filling out of races she's had children with. And it's no coincidence that so many pirates are people with physical abnormalities; while people like Kaidou and Big Mom and Moriah are Certified Human by pedigree, their differences have nonetheless alienated them from Polite Society (tm), essentially forcing them into lives of crime.

Which actually reminds me...while we all know Big Mom is a 28 foot tall cannibal that enters dissociative feeding frenzies, another unusual thing about her is that when you work out the timeline for her menagerie of children (which thankfully someone else did on the wiki), you'll notice she gave birth every year for 42 consecutive years. That is not just strange, it's so physically implausible that I would also consider that to be evidence of of devil fruit lineage. An invisible mutation from a paramecia user centuries ago in her family tree. This idea explains everything, all the superhuman feats from "ordinary" people we see in the series. Maybe even haki. And the world government doesn't want anyone to know.

CHAZ/TOBOR BRO HEADCANONS

omg. so I realised that after I drew Chaz/TOBOR content one time that i haven’t actually shared how important they are to me. erm. so I have made a silly little document of background/headcanons that could have been pages long but I didn’t want to be TOO insane.

also BIG DISCLAIMER the TOBOR headcanons and art at the bottom belong to Chiptoons on Insta/Chipt00ns on Twitter. SHE IS AMAZING and helped me to edit this doc so thank u for ur service chippy. thank you for inventing tobor mysims

They became friends because we were friends and it was like dragging our children along to a function and being like “ok now go play w the other kids” lol. lmao.

We both have OCs x canon with the robots so that's pretty much where it all started from- I probably won’t do a whole timeline at least for now but basically Makoto, Naomi (Louie’s OC) and Vivian (Chippy’s OC) would all spend time together regularly until they started inviting the bohs along

TOBOR was. a bit suspicious of Chaz at first since he had some pretty bad trust issues when it came to humans, and also because that’s usually the normal reaction to meeting Chaz, but he honestly wasn’t super phased by it. Chaz was used to people being kinda cold towards him yet also had a tendency to latch onto them anyway. Even though he spent hours actively trying to annoy him and talk about bike mechanics, which was pretty much just his attempt at being friendly and having fun- the biggest thing for TOBOR was that Chaz would never use the fact that he was a robot against him. Like he would never treat him like any less of a person, to Chaz he literally was just Some cool dude with a green head

Even when they become like Friend friends they still are surprisingly careful around eachothers’ boundaries. Tbh a lot of their relationship is built off things most people wouldn’t expect from them, as in the two scary bitch boys are actually very respectful of eachother and keep secretz and look out for the other n their bffs. It’s not OOC if we make the chars. IDGAF

They actually didn’t think they’d get as close as they did: TOBOR and Chaz essentially see eachother as brothers at this point, since they (mostly through accident) found out they had a surprising amount in common, with the way people kinda assumed stuff about them beforehand and were not the nicest . Chaz considers him one of his best friends bc he is CRINGE and is still constantly out to annoy him but at this point TOBOR just effortlessly shows him up. Chaz also likes to bully him on account of he hearts Vivian and you know what who doesn’t. They both got parental issues too which they also kinda relate to each other with; sometimes there will be stuff between them that they tease eachother for RELENTLESSLY, but if anyone else were to bring it up at all they would be killed within the second. TOBOR tends to stick up for Chaz a lot since he is more naïve and struggles to see when people are actually trying to upset him instead of just being Chaz Haterz for fun. Defending people and having their backs is his love language.

There is also a whole thing in the future with him/Makoto being more closely associated with the Delarosarenas but I don’t want to overshare or b cringe but Kerry literally adores TOBOR and the fact he loves cooking :> he simply IS her new son and she displays interest in hiring him one day. If the lab thing doesn’t work out. Which it is not. Again they r like BROTHERS make no mistake we do not ship them.

“where did she go?” you shouted at Rick, eyes wide and heart racing with fear. this wasn’t the first time, in fact, it was maybe the tenth.

“the woods, she saw someone. i tried to stop her, but she didn’t even look back.” you stumbled back as your thoughts swarmed your head. auto-pilot took over your body and you ran towards the trees.

“no, no, no.” you whispered under your breath as you ran through the woods, turning your head in every direction to try and find her.

suddenly, a scream echoed throughout the area. you whipped your body around towards the direction it came from and cursed under your breath. you started to run towards the direction where the scream came from.

“Rosita?!” you shouted, and then you heard the sound of a gun cocking. your eyes widened once more, “no- Rosita, wherever the fuck you are, don’t do what you’re about to do.” you yelled at nothing, still looking around all of your sure.

you started to take slow steps towards where you heard the gun, and soon Rosita’s head came into your sight, along with another person. even from where you were standing, you could see the stranger shaking with fear.

you made your way to them, and quickly noticed the dead body right next to the stranger, a clean shot right in their head. a gasp left your lips as you looked up at your girlfriend. although, you weren’t sure if you even recognized her.

“put the gun down.” you said, voice cracking. “they did nothing to you, Rosita! these are innocent fucking people just trying to survive like us!” Rosita didn’t turn to you as she kept the gun pointed at the girl who continued to shake.

you shook your head and pulled the gun out of her hands before she could react. she reached for it but you kept it out of her reach and turned to the girl, “run! go! and don’t come back near here.”

she picked up her bag and ran as quickly as she could. Rosita turned to you, anger flaring in her eyes. “what the hell is wrong with you?” she shouted at you, hands flying up as she talked.

you looked at her with utter disbelief, “what’s wrong with me? what the fuck is wrong with you, Rosita?! what did these people do to you?!” you yelled back.

she stayed silent, so you spoke up again. “killing innocent people is something we don’t fucking do, and you fucking know that!”

“i don’t even recognize you anymore, Rosita.” you said softer, tears filling your eyes. “this- this thing, it isn’t you. you don’t kill people who don’t deserve it.”

a month ago, you watched two of your friends die brutally. it was something that would stick with you forever. Abraham was one of two, and the one who died first. Abraham was Rosita’s closest friend, they had been through everything together. through thick and thin.

his death took a massive toll on Rosita, and she had started to become reckless. someone you couldn’t even recognize. you tried your best to help, but she had resorted to other solutions to mourn.

“listen, what i’m doing has nothing to do with you. my friend is dead and i can never get him back! you don’t fucking understand what that’s like.” she shouted at you.

“i do understand what it’s like, Rosita! i do. but killing people who did nothing to you isn’t going to bring him back. what is it going to fix, Ro? what is the point in all of this?”

you wiped your eyes and looked her in the eyes, “i can’t do this anymore.” you whispered. “i-i tried to help you, i hated seeing you so messed up from what Negan did. i wanted to make you feel better, to help you recover. to stop you from accidentally hurting yourself or getting yourself killed, but you’re just not letting me and i don’t know what to do anymore. i can’t do this. and- and with you killing these people, i just don’t even know what to say or do. i can’t do this, Rosita.”

her eyes softened. “what are you trying to say, Y/N?” she asked hesitantly. you took a deep breath and looked down at the ground, “i can’t be with you, Rosita. i just- i can’t deal with this anymore.”

you hit the gun against your hand and let the ammunition compartment slide out. you poured the bullets into your hand and slid it back into the gun, handing the now empty gun back to her.

“i can’t stop you from this, so there’s no point in trying anymore.” the ache in your heart almost ripped you apart as Rosita stared at you with tear filled eyes. “whatever you do next, i just hope you’re smart about it.” you mumbled to her, and turned around to walk away.

Rosita grabbed onto your hand, stopping you from walking away. “no- please don’t go, Y/N. i need you, please.”

you pulled your hand out of hers, “i’m sorry, Ro.” hesitantly, you pressed your lips to her head before walking away, using all of your strength to not turn back and run right into her arms.

you walked until you saw the Alexandria gate. when it opened back up, Rick was still there, waiting for you. “what happened?” he asked you, walking with you as you didn’t even stop to look at him.

“i broke up with her.” you spit out, feeling the tears prick at your eyes. “she’s still out there. i took the ammo out of her gun, just keep an eye out for her for me, please.”

you woke up to the empty space in your bed, again. it had been a few days since you broke up with Rosita. you tried to tell yourself that it was the best decision, but part of you just wanted to go back to her.

sitting up from your bed, you walked into the bathroom and squeezed toothpaste onto your slightly damaged toothbrush. you stared into the mirror as you brushed your teeth, unable to avoid the obvious bags under your eyes.

when you were done, you got dressed and left your house, walking over to the church for a community meeting. you were dreading it as always. you walked in and took a seat next to Michonne. her, Rick and Aaron were the only ones in there at the moment.

“hey,” she spoke softly, a smile on her face. “hey.” you said back, giving her a soft smile. “how are you feeling?” she questioned.

“fine.” you responded, looking down at your hands. Michonne sighed, she knew you were lying right to her face. “come on, what’s up, Y/N? you’re clearly not fine.”

you shook your head. “it’s nothing. just tired. didn’t get much sleep last night.” you told her, now crossing your arms over your chest. “you know you don’t have to lie to me.” she told you.

“you miss Rosita.” she commented, and you shifted uncomfortably in your seat. “she misses you too. won’t even touch her gun.” Michonne said.

“i took the bullets out of it when she shot that girl.” you said back. “she got more. but still, she won’t even touch it.”

you chuckled, “i’m not sure what you want me to say, Michonne. i just… what she’s been doing was too much to handle.”

“you both miss each other like crazy and keeping yourselves apart is just tearing you guys down more and more. i don’t think breaking up was a good idea.”

your eyes stayed glued to the ground as her words sunk into your head. but the church doors opened and more people walked through, taking you out of your thoughts.

then Rosita walked in, she looked just as tired as you. you quickly took your eyes off of her and faced the front. Michonne stood up, “i’m just saying Y/N. it’s your choice whether you want to try again or not.”

not a single word that Aaron, Rick or Michonne spoke in the meeting went through your head. your mind was stuck on Rosita. you wondered if it was a good idea to try again with her, or if you just leave it as it is now.

as everyone stood up and started to leave, you decided it was now or never. so, you stood up and and walked over to Rosita. she looked up at you with surprise, and you choked on your words.

“can we talk?” you asked. she stood frozen for a moment before nodding, “yeah.”

Rick and Michonne were the last to leave, and before they did, Michonne gave you a small encouraging smile. you sat down next to her when it was finally you two alone.

“i…” you started, unsure of what to say. you didn’t really plan that part out, you just wanted to talk with her again. “i regret breaking up with you, Rosita.”

she still sat silent, so you spoke up again. “i care about you more than anything, Ro. you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me, and seeing you so broken over Abe… i wanted to help you. i couldn’t stand seeing you like that. but… you killing innocent people… i couldn’t get behind that, Ro. i’m sorry.”

“i shouldn’t have done it.” Rosita spoke up. “after you ended things, i thought about it a lot. you’re right, Y/N. our group- we don’t do that. and it’s something we swore by… and i let my emotions get the best of me after what happened.”

tears pricked at your eyes, “i just don’t want to lose you, Rose. you’re my everything. i just want to you to be safe.” she nodded and put a hand on your face, pulling you into her.

your lips connected desperately and you gripped onto her waist and pulled her closer. the kiss went on for several minutes, and eventually the two of you pulled away to breathe.

Rosita leaned her head on yours, eyes stuck on your lips. “i promise i won’t be reckless like that again. i can’t lose you either.” she whispered against your lips.

“i love you.” you whispered. “nothing can change that. ever.” she smiled slightly, “i love you too.”

msfcatlover: @the-overanalyzer What do you want to know? I have /many/ thoughts for this, and I don’t really know which ones to start with.

All my thoughts? Okay, I’ll do my best.

First, sources. I think my love for the memory-sending version of the time travel fixit trope is blatantly obvious, and I read a lot of them. Then one day, just after I started really getting into Batfam stuff, I read this TMA fic called “Deja Vu” by CirrusGrey (fantastic writer, btw, everyone who likes TMA stuff should check out their fics,) which has all 4 members of the original archives crew getting sent back from their moment of death to just before the series started; the thing is, they all have different amounts of information, so they all have very different priorities. Like, Tim thinks the Unknowing is the biggest threat, so he buckles down trying to stop that, Sasha thinks she just had a weird dream because she died before they really knew anything about what was going on, etc. They might as well be coming from completely different futures, their concepts of reality are so different!

Which got me thinking: What if they were? What if you genuinely had a fixit in the memory time travel vein with multiple protagonists being sent back to before everything went awful, but every single one of them is from a different basically apocalyptic future, so they all have completely different priorities on what needs to be fixed? All tripping over eachother’s plans, not realizing they’re not alone… and at the same time, being so truly, completely alone, because they’re the sole survivors of their individual timelines, and no one really knows what they’ve gone through; even the people they love most and want to rely on are going to be dramatically different from any version of those people each of them ever knew.

And, um, the Batfam is kinda perfect for that setup, isn’t it? But, obviously, I can’t find that fic. It doesn’t seem to exist. (Although, if you like the concept of multiple characters trying to fix the same timeline, “Time to Protect You” is a really excellent read. Also, if you like Dick having a worse adoption addiction than Bruce does, read “Time to Protect You.” It’s fun.)

Ever since I had that thought, I have been brainstorming. This. Monster. Because, y’see, I have to at least rough-draft each of their future timelines to know what each of their priorities would be. So there’s like, five full fics worth of content in the backstory for this fic. (I have made myself cry doing this. More than once. Lotta… lotta funerals & heroic self-sacrifices while loved ones watch helplessly in these WIP notes. And one formal “identify the body” scene that is somehow worse than all of them.) And that’s before they all start meddling in the timeline!

But you asked this on the Damian post. So, everything about Damian?

…This is gonna get long.

Damian is undergoing one of the most dramatic time shifts of all of them; he was in his late 20s when he got sent back. Since all 5 affected Robins are being sent back to the day Jason & Bruce were supposed to meet, that puts Damian somewhere between 4-6yrs old on arrival.

Another fic I really love from the TMA fandom (whose title I can heartbreakingly not remember right now) had Jon sent back to his first supernatural encounter, and one of the things that fic emphasized was this dichotomy between Jon’s decades of lived experience and the fact that he still has the body of a child. Which means he has the brain chemistry of a child. Which is going to impact his behavior.

So, in my story Damian’s not just a 28yr old stuck in a 5yr old body trying to get people to take him seriously, he is a 5yr old with 28yrs worth of memories, and that is a huge difference. (That’s not going to show much in this post, since I’m summarizing grand scale things with a few short scenes, and also Damian’s instincts are different from most 5yr olds thanks to, erm, everything. It would mostly be in the minutia of his behavior. But it is important to me.)

Is the rest of the family worried about Damian? Yes, obviously, that’s their baby brother. But none of them can rescue him alone (most of them need to completely retrain their bodies, even before gaining allies & equipment,) and as depressing as it is, they all believe he should be relatively safe where he is until they can assemble what they need to go bring him home. After all, both Ra’s & Talia need Damian healthy & intact for their plans to go forward.

Damian on the other hand, is now stranded on the other side of the world from all of his most trusted allies (even if they don’t know him yet,) and trying to hide his sudden shift in personality & priorities while surrounded by people who are very invested in his personal development. Hell, even Damian’s workouts & warmup routines have changed since he was a kid; how is he supposed to explain where he learned Dick’s balance exercises or Tim’s post-computer hand/wrist stretches? And on the other hand, Damian’s not used to a body with these proportions; how is he supposed to do anything like this?

(Damian did come back at the tail end of a fever that left him bedridden for a long while, so at least he has a short-term solution for that last problem.)

And remember: none of them know the others came back. As far as Damian’s concerned, he’s on his own.

What Damian does is steal tiny bits of equipment to dissect for parts, and recreates the sound-emitter from Jimmy Olsen’s watch. It’s a huge gamble, because Damian can’t test it. The sound should be outside of human hearing range, but if anyone hears/detects it before Damian’s ready to escape, he’ll be caught. Even if the emitter does work, Damian can’t risk calling Superman to Nanda Parbat; the League has measures against kryptonians (Superman’s timeline is somehow even messier than the Bats’ at this point, so I’m going with Clark & Kara both being fully established heroes already,) so if Superman did come to investigate, he could get hurt or captured, and if Clark gets away or stops to analyze where the sound is coming from then he might realize it’s just a test and assume it’s some sort of trap when Damian does set it off

Basically, Damian has one shot at this, and he just has to trust his own tinkering skills are good enough because a test-run could ruin everything.

Damian’s future was an alien invasion that left the Earth like a wasteland, the remaining heroes leading the resistance. He had more relaxing nights then than he has now, constantly monitoring his own words & actions, surrounded by enemies, with no allies to fall back on, in a body that seems more weak & helpless than it ever has before.

(Part of me also thinks Damian might’ve lost a limb in that war? It’s tripping him out—possibly literally—to have it back, when it’s only been phantom pain for so long.)

So, y’know, it’s not just that Superman is the only hero Damian can call who will both probably hear him, get there in time to actually be backup, and won’t be immediately suspicious of Damian (probably.) It’s also that Damian needs access to interstellar resources if he’s ever going to stop that invasion, and even with nearly 2 decades to plan it, the better Damian’s starting point the faster he can do that. (It definitely has nothing at all to do with how much Damian’s missed Clark, Jon, Lois, the whole extended family… it’s been years since Damian’s spoken to any of them, even the survivors off fighting on other fronts. And there were not a lot of survivors; the enemy knew to target their most powerful warriors first.)

People who say you can’t lie to kryptonians are idiots who don’t know them. Here’s the secret: have a good excuse for a raised breath/heart rate and make sure the emotions of your lie match what you’re actually feeling in that moment. A stutter, skip, or mild increase will be lost in the racing, and all your pheromones will agree with your words. Easy. (Cass could tell the difference, but she’s not here, is she? Damian has no idea where she is—but she’ll be fine. It took a crashing spaceship to kill Cassandra Wayne, and she survived just fine on her own before joining the family. Damian doesn’t need to worry. She’s fine. She’ll definitely be fine.)

Damian waits for the next time they move him, waits for the first big city, and makes a break for it. He slips through the guards’ fingers with skills they didn’t know he has, and proceeds to make one of the most illogical choices for a normal escape attempt: Damian heads for the tallest building he can get to the top of. As soon as he reaches the roof, even before picking the lock, Damian activates his emitter. He barricades the door behind him, and stands there, buffeted by wind, struggling to stay upright.

Damian can’t hear the emitter. Damian can’t hear his own voice when he raises it against the wind, yelling to Superman for help. Damian thinks he can hear his guards running up behind the door, but that’s impossible; it must be his own blood pounding in his ears.

The wind changes direction, and Superman is there.

Damian knows the picture he paints: a too-small child with too much scar tissue, eyes wide & wild, panting & terrified, still dirty from the run through the city below, clutching a device he shouldn’t have. (A stranger Superman has no reason to trust, even though Clark was always more credulous than any of the Bats. A boy wearing League garb under his clothes, even if Clark might not recognize it.)

(Damian doesn’t remember Clark ever being this big, but it is Clark, cracking through the Superman mask in confusion & concern.)

Damian’s never been one to leave things half-finished. “Please,” Damian begs, glancing back at the door behind him, “I’m running from the Shadows. They’re after me, they’ll be here any moment, they’ll kill me if they do! Please, help me!”

The door jumps in its frame. The barricade holds.

Clark opens his arms. “Of course, son. Where do you want to go?”

Damian leaps into Clark’s arms (and oh, oh, he has missed this. The soft strength & nearly overpowering warmth all kryptonians have. Arms that fold around Damian’s back like a shield—because they are, because Clark & Jon & Kara & Kon know their own strength and would rather risk being hurt themselves than let their charges be hurt. Being held by his uncle, who died over a decade ago and has never met Damian, but still holds on like Damian is something precious & important. Yes, Damian can admit he missed this.)

“Anywhere,” Damian whispers, wrapping his arms around his uncle’s neck. “Anywhere they can’t find me.”

(That last part is lost to the rush of speed, but Damian knows Clark heard it anyway.)

Here’s what Damian is counting on: Clark Kent is not a stupid man, even if he can be swept away by his emotions. Superman does not often fight the League of Shadows and will not know where necessarily would be safe from them, so he will take Damian to a secret base. Superman would not expose another hero’s identity without asking first, so it will either be a Justice League base or somewhere safe for Clark. Damian is still dressed like an assassin under his travel clothes and is still very much armed, so hopefully Clark would not bring Damian anywhere Damian might pose a threat.

So, a Justice League base, the Fortress of Solitude, or (if Clark is critically underestimating Damian) the farm.

Damian knows he’s struck gold when temperature drops. The Fortress makes this so much easier than having to find some way to hide Damian’s connection to Batman from the entire Justice League, and Damian never wants to bring trouble to Ma Kent’s doorstep. Damian’s relief is genuine, and he doesn’t bother trying to hide it when Clark sets him down.

The next part is the tricky bit: Damian has to sell his cover. A League-trained child assassin defecting would not know much of the outside world, would not know what was expected of him. Damian knows all that from experience. After months of hiding in Nanda Parbat, it’s not hard to slip back into that mindset, those mannerisms. They’re almost comfortable; hopefully the cold & alien environment will cover for the rest. Damian drops to his knees as he would before any significant authority (his mother, his grandfather, his family when he needed them to understand his remorse was full-hearted & genuine,) and begins with, “Thank you. I owe you my life.”

From there, Damian begins spinning the web that he hopes will save the world, rather than collapse & take Damian down with it. Truths & half-truths, genuine emotions, flickers of vulnerability, and a demeanor far too formal & professional to belong to anyone having a proper childhood. Fear of both the League & its enemies, any of whom would kill to have Damian back. Full, open acknowledgment of the suspicions Clark really ought to have, because the second Clark mentions the League to anyone who knows, Clark will receive the full run-down of how dangerous any League operative is.

(Damian insists on being locked up, telling Superman that his allies will only suspect Damian more—rightfully!—if he’s not. Clark is horrified by the idea of imprisoning a child who can’t be older than 6. They compromise with a guest room in the Fortress, the alien architecture as good as any lock any hero could cook up.)

(Damian insists on being disarmed, despite his own obvious discomfort with doing so. Clark tries to tell Damian that’s not necessary, and Damian points out how easy it would’ve been to slip a kryptonite blade into Superman’s chest from the second he let Damian into his arms. Clark looks a little green himself, and lets Damian finish.)

(Damian does not lie about lineage, at least not on his mother’s side. He does make it very clear he is not interested in meeting his father, confirms that his father is a very dangerous man, and heavily implies that his father’s displeasure with Damian’s upbringing might be dangerous to Damian himself. Damian also heavily implies his father knows of Damian’s existence and chose to be distant, drawing on the lingering, long-stifled bitterness of those early awkward days at the manor—wounds that don’t hurt anymore, not really, but that Damian can never forget—to really sell it.)

(Damian knows better than to try to convince anyone he’s had some sort of miraculous change of heart. No hero with experience with the League will see that as anything but a trap. Damian instead simply says he doesn’t like killing, expresses discomfort when pressed on his morals, and implies his escape has to do with a personal betrayal of some kind. Much easier to believe.)

The most direct lie Damian tells is that he got the frequency from his grandfather’s notes on known kryptonian biology. Damian drowns that in his own self-chastisement, admitting the inability to test the device in any way that mattered and Damian’s lack of an exit if the plan went wrong. Damian calls himself reckless & stupid for not having a backup. Clark catches Damian’s eye, and tells Damian he’s wrong; that Damian’s not stupid, Damian’s very clever for putting that together.

“You did good, son,” Clark says, Superman gone and replaced with only the kindness & pain of a man with a heart too big for this world, and a father with a boy not that much younger than Damian. “You did the best you could with what you had, and what you pulled off was pretty amazing. I’m sorry you had to go through that alone.”

“…Oh,” Damian says. He blinks. He breathes. And for the first time since Dick died, Damian cries. For everything he’s done, and everything he’s lost. For the family he’ll never have, and the childhood he never did. For a world that will—hopefully—never be. No wailing, no screams. Just soft, hitching breaths and tears that don’t seem to stop.

Clark pulls him close, and Damian buries his face in his uncle’s chest. And cries.

Damian knows the picture he paints:

Here is a boy, running for his life. A dangerous boy. A frightened boy. A boy who’s so alone, he has to rely on alien strangers for help. A boy desperate to be trusted, to not be seen as a threat. A boy who already knows there’s nowhere safe for him in the world.

An abused child will tug at any hero’s heartstrings. But Damian knows exactly which ones to pluck to stay safe under Clark Kent’s cape.

It’s intentional. It’s manipulative. It needs to be done. Damian has 17yrs to win trust, to build a network, to stop the invasion. The longer he can stay off the Bats’ radar, the better. He knows he has to play the long game.

(It doesn’t matter that it’s all true.)

how do the narutoverse characters all speak the same language? i get it if its in the same land / village, but another land / village ??? how do they understand eachother?? do they have the same universal language or do they all speak the same language?

Also technology is wack in Naruto, wdym you send messages thru letters but you guys have phones, emails and television??

Well... for a given understanding of what exactly is the "same language" and a forgiveness of regional dialects, varying literacy, and colloquialisms... Everyone speaks Japanese in Canon.

I don't know Japanese and I haven't watched/read the manga/anime so I couldn't say if the Japanese used is consistent across characters or anything. Also I'm not looking for anyone to kick down my ask box to info dump on this

In my fics, I lean into varying accents and local colloquialism in order to give a sense of varying regions, class, culture, etc etc. However, writing in English is very different from writing in Japanese because... well, I don't speak Japanese so I know the vibes of 'why' but I literally can't explain it.

Shisui speaks like a perfect Clan kid from the heart of Konoha; Raidou is from the same place but his voice is rounder, less polished, and he might have shared some "rougher" slang with his Squadmates since he's the only one who grew up in a working class civilian neighborhood.

Kisame has a different accent to Shisui (Kiri compared to Konoha) but they are totally fine with communicating because they've both had a high level of village-centred education that teaches them how to talk, how to speak, and how to blend in. Kisame has therefore been trained out of his rural dialect/accent (later on in this AU, some of you may notice that Zabuza has stubbornly held onto his).

When Shisui was undercover in Lightning's rural areas, he altered his accent and manner of speaking to better blend in.

The Crows speak in a way that is totally different to Humans. Shisui, as a fluent but obviously non-native speaker, uses much more basic language. There are noticable translation issues (no word for 'Hokage' so they use 'Hat', they never use Human Names, Akira isn't Akira's 'true name' but rather the Human equivalent used for functionality) which emphasises that the Crow language is completely distinct from the Human's.

Let's get back to Canon (🙃)

People can speak the "same language" and not be able to understand a word the other person is saying. I know a woman who's husband's family were from a different village and the in-laws could barely make small talk because they were so heavy on the slang, which absolutely did not translate to the other region's slang.

In Narutoverse, there's some stuff to consider off the top of my head

One, it's an anime, Kishi has too much timeline to forget and insane plot decisions to introduce to bother with linguistic nuance and do this idea justice so - as far as I'm aware - he didn't do language variation in canon.

Two, I think if Shinobi villages had their own languages, it would be something treated more like a hidden code than used casually, domestically, or be ritualistic in important events etc. I do think there'd be a shared 'higher' language at least, for treaties and Daimyos and shit, even if the rural farmers didn't know it even existed. And this means Shinobi would know it too.

Three, texting. Can the rural farmer own a cute little flip phone with a few attached charms? The world of translation would surely open up at least, although that doesn't mean dialects or different languages would disappear

Again, I'm not a linguist and i have no interest in being one!

2. favourite episode(s)? HI BOB!!! one of my favourite episodes of any show ever its such a comfort watch < absolutely SHOULD NOT be a comfort watch but it is im just such a sucker for bottle episodes.... also sands of ares for that same reason!! + bring it down for danny those are probably my top 3 but id also say prime crew and leningrad :)

4. favourite use of the alternate history timeline? kind of a basic answer cause its like. the conceit of the whole show but i really just love how far the fam universe has gone with space exploration and cold war tension like im suuuuch a massive nerd about that period of time as it is but its just so sick seeing how much progress can be fuelled by such petty competition like theres something just so human about it if that makes any sense at all. its just cool getting to draw the connections between things that happen in the show to what happened in reality just finding those parallels or places where things diverged its just a fun little layer of worldbuilding.

7. favourite earth moment? THERES SOOO MANY oh no how do i choose... god i feel like i should pick something to do with the space program but margo and aleidas one interaction in the grey.... everyone has worked so hard you cant say its over like its nothing who is this why is she speaking to me she apologises no i dont yes you do i like this one.... scene i obviously feel super normal and regular about. also molly chewing out ed and gordo like theyre kids whove been sent to the principal that was super fun :)

9. favourite non-canon ship? Oh You Know.... but an answer for the viewers at home who dont know Yet iii also quite like margomolly with wayne being fully aware and supportive i just think its a fun little dynamic. + i dont think they should be together EVER theyre so so so terrible for eachother but gorded does have a sneaky little nook in my brain just to contemplate

12. best bit of tech in the alternate timeline? THE SOLAR SAIL!!! i mean i know its a real thing but on the scale that they had on sojourner i just love it sooo much i love you operation jolly roger... also d-mailing i know its not like. a Bit of tech its just terminology but its funny to meee i laugh every time

15. wild mass guessing for season five? jimmy gets out of prison and starts an investigation into danny's neglect by helios command < very wishful thinking ummmmm genuine answer tensions with canada and their space program i feel like they haven't been mentioned much since the news reel.... australia comes into the mix somehow even though we still dont have much of a program in this universe by the looks of things (there is AN australian working for helios we can hear her accent when theyre all yelling at eachother but still. can we actually do something pretty please) and maybe javi and graciana get to do. idk. somthing. i feel like they need to establish the legacy/family characters more if theres gonna be 3 more seasons

one of my main issues with warrior cats is how the clans are just . the same. The earlier books had this down pat since we had the singular, outsider perspective of Fireheart, but since every perspective since has been from a clan cat who was lived and raised in the clans, and we’ve had multiple (some from different clans), it’s the case that the warrior code (even the newer version) is just kind of outdated. warriors and a lot of it’s concepts would work so much better if the clans were just more visibly different from eachother. so i am proposing a change. not so much to the series itself, that’s too difficult to implement without a reboot set in the far future or some sort of alternate timeline, but just like. a way to get my thoughts out about this and how the clans could be more individual and make drama stronger. Thunderclan is still sort of the moral compass clan, it’s the clan that is the clan and it sure does clan. All of the clans used to have a sort of defined personality to them, leaving Thunderclan as the sort of main character, but now, due to the deterioration of the writing and also because this series is older than it’s target audience by at least a decade, it still remains the moral compass clan, but the rest of the clans are now nuanced and have their own perspectives, meaning the monotany is worse. Thunderclan benefits, I think, from being the most morally ‘good’ of the clans. Like, classic heroic values. Thunderclan should value power. They would believe that everyone in the clan has their place, and that newcomers can prove their place. They adhere to tradition strongly, and are tightly knit. Elders help out around camp, even after retirement. I think that even this basic characterisation, if paired with other, unique factions to be up against, would help greatly. This doesn’t mean I want them as perspective, just sort of a general how they view themselves, and how the warriors within it would act in accordance to the strong, moral principals of the clan. Shadowclan, in the first arc, were the villains. They were a bunch of slapdash, shady, and eeeevil kitties. But even with this reputation wearing off over time, they’ve still retained their sort of antihero status. Shadowclan cats, then, would be the most secretive of the clans. They do not share much information with outsiders, and they probably value stealth and privacy. Depending on who’s in power, the disposition of the clan can change greatly, but typically, they are seen as a quiet but powerful unit of cats. They value tradition, but have been known to go against it. Probably known to the other clans as somewhat standoffish, but not necessarily cruel. With more hostile leaders, their tactics can get underhanded and brutal - more brutal than any other clan, historically. They are not bound for evil, obviously, but this is like, reputation wise. Riverclan is the most interesting of the clans, in my opinion, since these are cats that swim, and cats dont do that. But in the books, they are background noise. They serve no narrative purpose other than being this clan that exists to fill out the factions. My interpretation of them is probably the most wildly different from the books, plainly because we don’t have anything to go off of. Riverclan cats have a strong sense of community. They have a tendency to shun those who aren’t as social, or didn’t originate in the clan. They are probably also the healthiest, and are very spiritually connected. They have traditions, but these traditions largely do not seem to be shared with the other clans. Obviously, all the clans have their own, unique cultures and traditions, but Riverclan cats are notable for their festivities and beliefs. Riverclan cats tend to come off as prissy and vain to outsiders, but they don’t really value the opinion of outsiders anyway. Windclan is fun because like Shadowclan, they actually have a personality to work with. In the first arc, they were really nice and sweet and great, and always seemed wise and helpful, if a bit cowardly. Now? They’re like what Shadowclan used to be, if Shadowclan was replaced with a bunch of weasels who live on a hill. Windclan are the most religious of the clans. Like, so religious. They value wisdom, and think that the other clans do not adhere to tradition enough, or are stupid and brutish. That said, Windclan cats have to be cunning and fast to avoid the hawks that swoop down onto their territory. To other clans, they come off as rude and snide, or snooty. They probably have a pretty good relationship with Riverclan, because both clans practice spiritual stuff. Finally, Skyclan. hghh. Kill me now. Skyclan is probably the least traditional. They encourage expression and are soft on punishments for breaking the code. They are not very unified, but are excellent at using their environment to enrich their lives. Because of a varied perspective of cats; some of which who are kittypets or loners who come and go- Skyclan’s belief in Starclan varies from cat to cat, and it’s not a big deal to them if you don’t believe in it. They have the lowest bar for entry, though generally, you need to at least have some sort of use. Other clans generally view their openness as stupid or naive, though Thunderclan keeps a friendly relationship with them. I also think the religion of each clan should vary a little and their traditions are based around it. starclan shouldve never been so centralised. they should be mysterious and otherworldly and cat religion has been ruined.

💕- Who confessed first and how? Did it go as planned or did shenanigans ensue?

It was after I'd first been kidnapped by Bowser, we spent probably a full month locked away in the house in a sort of recovery. Just hanging out, playing games, eating delivery pizza, snuggled up on the comfiest couch.

One day out of the blue while we're just rewatching some nostalgic anime Mario asked if he could kiss me. Apparently there was a confession plan as Luigi got crazy upset about Mario going off script, shenanigans certainty ensued.

It wasn't anything big or romantic or emotional, it just happened. It felt right, natural, you know? There didn't need to be some big "I love you" realization, we already knew.

🦋 - How long did it take them to get out of the awkward early relationship stage? Have they gotten more confident around each other?

There wasn't one. We've known and loved eachother our whole lives. Transitioning from brothers to a couple was smooth as silk, mostly because nothing in the dynamic changed.

✏️ - How canon compliant are you with them? Do you stick pretty close or just have fun cause it’s your ship so no one can tell you what to do other wise?

Mario canon is sort of like a bowl of spaghetti; One the outside it looks like one long connected string, but in reality there's a lotta disconnected starts and ends, and it's up to you to chain them together.

Basically I am twirling Mario canon on my fork and doing my very best to stick as close to canon as possible, but some things absolutely have to change to make other things work.

The Marios are very In the Moment people, with the exception of G-Poppy of course. So Mario, Luigi, and I don't think to hard or often of the future and what we want from it. We live in the moment, take every day as it is, and enjoy our time together.

Just read most of Kamisama Kiss, spoilers for Kamisama Kiss, Howl's Moving Castle, and Fruits Basket, Inuyasha, Romantic Killer beware

I need recommendations for stuff that's basically "It was you all along"

Sofie traveling back in time and telling Howl to come for her in Howl's Moving Castle

Nanami going back in time to save Tomoe and in the process of trying to keep the timeline how she thought it happened (him falling in love with Yukiji) she creates that and he falls in love with her

It was her all along

A non-time travel variant of this can be Tohru and Kyo from Fruit's Basket, especially with the bait and switch with the hat, but like, he knew and loved her all along (not immediately in Kyo's case, but he wanted to know her if I remember correctly)

I'm a sucker for all variants of lifelong companions

Childhood best-friends who lost touch and forgot about eachother only to reunite and fall in love all over again, memories slowly returning

one or both reincarnating and finding eachother again, Inuyasha was close but I disliked how they handled Kikyo and Kagome as reincarnations, it would've been nice if they had explored more of the fact that they're the same *soul* and what that means, as is, Kikyo is so horribly different from Kagome, vindictive, cold, etc etc, its hard to believe that they're kinda the same person, you can see it a little in how loud Kagome is, as like, an extreme version of Kikyo's quiet vindictiveness, but there's just too much dissonance between the two that it feels it was only a plot point for the drama + bonus damseling Kagome for a hot minute, which dont get me wrong, love a good damsel moment, but thats just when its done well, and I dont know if I can say Inuyasha handles its damseling well

A smaller variant of this was done really well in Romantic Killer, best show, where knowledge given at the end of the show recontextualizes everything before it into a micro "it was you all along", where every action Anzu did to avoid Kazuki and the whole romantic otome game plot line actually helped him and he found himself falling in love because of it, breaking his phone on accident when his trauma was acting up so he was able to briefly recover, and not pressing him on it, avoiding him (not treating him like a piece of meat) and standing up to girls who dont care about what HE wants

Yeah, stuff that recontextualizes things works really well for this I think, like Nanami making sasamochi for Tomoe when he was sick, and we see a brief flashback of someone making him sasamochi when he was a kid, and we learn later that it was also Nanami here and he was pretending to be a kid

His favorite food is sasamochi because Nanami made it, and Nanami made it because it was his favorite food, a closed loop

Side note: Kamisama Kiss has one of my favorite portrayals of time travel ever, it makes perfect sense, doesn't hurt your brain, and makes things 10x better by recontextualizing everything you thought you knew without breaking it

But yeah, this is a really long winded way of asking if anyone has recommendations for media that fulfills this particular niche, preferably without spoiling the good stuff if I choose to read it for myself, I used a lot of examples so hopefully that gets across what im looking for

I should probably do a breakdown of what I liked so much about Kamisama Kiss, I said a lot here, but yeah

post-str shinaya get together because they really like eachother but also because they think this is the last thing they have to do so they can finally move on with life. like this is what they been missing this entire time! and it also just feels GOOD to have something you want for once and be in control of your life. this relationship almost feels like a reward until they realize oh yeah. we're in a relationship.

ayano wants to be like any other couple and hold hands outside but shintaros pathetic. so obviously they'll fight over that. ayano wants to stop being so clingy like she was before but whos gonna make the first moves then??? i mean why would her boyfriend do that??? shintaro can be sweet in private but hes too embarrassed to be like that in public and it makes ayano mad cause WHY then its just a neverending cycle of that. shintaro is the last person that knows how to make ayano or maybe anyone, feel like theyre loved and cared for even though it would be so fucking nice for her if he did. theyre a mess

they break up every other day but never actually end it. cause without all the stupid shit they fight about what else would keep them distracted from having an existential crisis everyday. yeah it feels like shit but atleast they know they put this on theirselves and can do something about it. it just feels so much more draining to think about how they'll never be the same ever again because of all those timelines. theyd rather just be some ridiculous couple.

and EXACTLY EXACTLY...it distracts them... like this is so much easier to be sad about.... shintaro's awkwardness and ayano's expectations of being lovedovey are a good recipe for something funny and really sweet as shintaro journeys through trying for her but the thing is. shintaro IS trying but he is so held back not JUST by awkwardness. the awkwardness is harmless compared to his retaining eyes apprehension yknow. and ayano's focus on being boyfriend&girlfriend:333 is just the front for her spiraling and hiding all her pain and guilt over abandoning her family..

it COULD work it could be good but there's so much in between that just doesn't involve them in a relationship and theyre just. not ready. AUUGHHH shinaya breakup madness is back. they do love each other but damn love just isn't enough to hold a relationship sometimes !!!

hi im a stanley (tsp) fictionkin. heres my memories from my tl since i wanted one place to compile them all. theyll also be in different categories!

this'll update every time i get new mems :]

general mems

i wasnt living in a game, i think. im still unsure about that. there was no other player entity as far as i can remember, though. and it was real life to me, it could have been a game to the narrator or anyone else though

i can remember a basic outline of where some of the endings took place- the true ending happened near the start but wasnt the first one, the zending happened around the end, and the skip button was the last button and the epilogue happened just after it i think. i know game-wise that timeline is weird but i remember the skip button happening last and i was wandering around that desert for a long time

the zending lasted a long time. i was in the lights room for a long time and it was really nice but i just couldnt stay there forever.

there were hundreds of resets and probably different endings that did not occur in the game

the true ending still resulted in a reset no matter how many times i went that route.

some of the endings were very, VERY long. like the zending, the bucket apartment ending, and the skip button ending to mention a few.

in general sometimes these resets could be months, even upwards to a year apart, or only a few minutes. it was frustrating sometimes

i remember the escape pod ending- i remember shooting into the sky and into space and looking at the stars, but after only a while id reset. maybe narrator WAS there and it played out right? i dunno man its kinda hard to remember there was so many resets in my canon

i had longish curly hair

i also had freckles

i wore silly ties every day to work, they all had different patterns. this also happened during the resets, i think i had a different one each reset

i was probably autistic

i think i had anxiety too

i almost never talked- part of it was i was just too stubborn to talk, the other part was that i was nonverbal a good chunk of the time. i also just found it hard to speak

i remembered every reset, but im unsure if narrator did

i was super self destructive at one point- before i had fully given into the fact that these resets were just gonna happen for the rest of my life.

i had a life before the events of the game- i cant remember my childhood or life outside work, but i remember loving my job and i remember my chats with the other employees and stuff like that!

narrator mems

i had an on and off relationship with narrator- one moment i hated him and the next he was my entire world. our relationship fluctuated like that a lot but no matter what we needed eachother

i think our relationship was at least vaugely homosexual ahahah. i dont think we ever officially dated but we had a really really close bond. i dunno how to explain it. we acted like we were an old married couple but we never . like . had an official relationship

i cannot stress how on and off our relationship was.

he could have had a physical form, he mentioned that he was able to manifest one once, but he never quite liked the idea and he preferred just being a voice. unsure if he ever showed a form or not

he could however like . without a form he could still touch? i remember him brushing the hair out of my face or putting his hand on my shoulder, but i never saw him

unsure if he created the world or caused the resets but he sure did have a hand in both those things even if he didnt outright do all of those things

i dont think he created the world but he could control it and add little things to it.

while i knew timekeeper & curator existed, i dont think the narrator did. he may have known about the curator and just never mentioned her to me, but he never knew about timekeeper and i just never told him my experiences with either of them, i kinda kept it a secret

in relation to what i was saying with the narrator showing his physical form, he said something along the lines of 'im too grand to be contained in one physical form!' or 'its too restricting, id rather just be a voice!' (both quotes ive gotten from other narrators ive spoken to)

i really miss him. i know i hated him a lot near the start and even middle of the timeline, but i really really grew fond of him even though we had our arguments. i really miss him. a lot.

timekeeper/settings/432 mems

we were both 'friends' (acquaintances?) before the events of the game

i think during the time before the events of the game he had ginger hair and glasses but i am unsure about this memory

they would talk to me through my computer inbetween resets, however i didnt know it was 432, my old friend, until the events of the epilouge

never saw him face-to-face during the events of the game, the last time i saw them face-to-face was when we were both at work and things were still normal

it was really comforting to talk to them inbetween resets.

bucket mems

the bucket was a comfort item to me <3 i loved it

for the first while it was just a comfort item, just that, but eventually as the resets kept happening and my mental state deteriorated i began to hear it talk to me and stuff like that.

i put a lot of stickers on it . i think more than in canon

curator mems

i dont remember much about you.

she made the museums. they were very very pretty.

i was so scared of her.
