finally gave my nextgen ideas some colorsssssss (itty bitty bios under the cut)

Raine is the oldest by a long shot, adopted by Nya and Jay when he was about 7-ish. he’s much older than the core elemental inheritors, and is already a a full-fledged ninja of sorts. she’s not home a lot, usually doing missions and fighting evil and stuff. Lilly and Ry look up to him the most. his weapon is a guandao, forged with the help of his uncle Kai.

Maya is the elder twin, bio kid of Kai and Cole. they’re probably the calmest and most reserved out of the five of them, probably why they inherited the element of ice. they’re the least social, willingly at least, but it’s not out of intentional malice, they just have a rich inner life. and secrets. so many secrets. Maya is a natural strategist and enabler number one for their twin’s behavior.

Lilly is the younger twin, but only by about thirty minutes. she’s outgoing and LOUD, and very so excited to be an in-training ninja, just like her cousin Raine, FINALLY. she inherited the element of fire, and also her dad’s general hotheadedness and urge to stand out. graduating from her role as ringleader for most of her, her twin, and her cousin Ry’s shenanigans, Lilly’s usually the one taking charge as group leader. she’s also a gym rat, even though her gains aren’t even that visible, COME ON!

Rylan, usually Ry unless he’s in trouble, is Nya and Jay’s second kid, also adopted. to answer your questions, yes he’s a turned serpentine, no he doesn’t remember it, it happened when he was a baby and he was surrendered soon after. Ry’s the emotional heart of the group, most willing to talk about mushy stuff like feelings, to varying results from the rest of his teammates. he inherits the element of lightning. he’s big on scarves, but his favorite is the kitty cat one he knitted with his older sibling Raine.

Shan is a mystery wrapped in an enigma. they’re initially a suspect, a repeat offender for petty thefts that the ninja in training often pursued (because that’s all that Lilly, Ry, and Maya were qualified for, honestly) that somehow turned into a very reluctant friend along the way, mostly due to Ry’s efforts. and now they’re letting them live in the monastery full time? and now they’re the most worthy inheritor of the element of earth? sure. he butts heads with Lilly the most, she thinks they’re suspicious, he thinks she’s too bossy and full of herself.

Thinking about how much cringe culture stunted our growth of interests as gen z. Especially those of us that are neurodivergent.

Like bro. A bunch of adults thought (and still think) it was okay to bully often disabled minors for like- having fun? I guess because we were weird?? That's the lamest thing I've ever heard.

I don't give any more fucks. Time to write the MLP/Lego Ninjago crossover fic I always wanted as a kid /hj

Hmm... This is a tough one! There's so many good shows ╥﹏╥

Honestly, there are so many cartoons and shows that hold a special place in my heart-

Like, I've only watched a SINGLE episode of The Owl House, and I already love it SO MUCH. I get attached to shows so easily, haha-

But, my favorite cartoons are Voltron, She-Ra, Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, Ninjago, Spongebob (seasons 1-3 especially, purely for childhood nostalgia), Bluey (oooooh, my tism is showing- anyway) Blue's Clues (purely because nostalgia- it makes me happy :> ) and quite a few different animes (I also have a soft spot for MLP but shhh you didn't hear that from me) :>

Some favorite shows of mine that DON'T fall under the cartoon category include Genloss (of COURSE), The Bureau of Magical Things (WOWIE I'm really struggling to think of live action shows I've watched- AHHHH), and despite finding Sam and Cat, Victorious, and ICarly (and other Nickelodeon and Disney Channel shows of that time) a little cringe now after all these years, they still hold a special place in my heart :>

Wow, I sound pretty childish in this post HAHA- because of my siblings I don't really have much opportunity to watch shows more aimed at my demographic, lol- but honestly, I would still watch these shows alone too.. XD

Wowie zowie, another long post- I think these sorts of questions are just like that because I'm indecisive and get attached to media REALLY easily HAHA

Here’s my favorite & least favorite movies of 2017!

Best Animated Film:

MLP the Movie

I know Coco was yet another brilliant Pixar film, but that can top your list. This is my list, and as far as I am concerned, I loved this film most of all; partly because I am already a fan of the series, yes, but also because It’sFun, charming, creative, light hearted, brimming w/ joy, has interesting world building, a lovely musical score (love that SIA song) and great production values! And visually, it is utterly unique in comparison to any other animated film this year! (Good grief, how I miss that 2D aesthetic). Even if it is more or less just an extra length episode w/ a bigger budget & more celebrity guest stars, I have absolutely no problem naming this movie my Best movie of 2017, hands down, and I am loud & proud about that fact; Come at me bro! XD

Runners up:

LEGO Batman (sheer, joyful fun!)

LEGO Ninjago Movie (this is sooo cool!)

Captain Underpants (properly used ‘potty’ humor XD)

Coco (another solid Pixar production)

Ferdinand (2nd best Blue Skies production so far)

Boss Baby (surprisingly fun & charming)

—Also—

The Nut Job 2 (surprisingly passible)

Cars 3 (Not bad, better than the first two)

Rock Dog (dumb fun is fun, even if dumb)

Worst Animated Film:

Despicable Me 3

Surprise! Instead of giving this award to the obvious candidate (even if it really does deserve it), I decided to be different form the crowd and give this award to a movie ‘*that had all the advantage in the world, and calmly, decisively, stuck its todger into a deep fryer of hot bleach.’ I know the other movies aren’t exactly that great, but they all had a certain charm regardless. This movie however was just insufferable for me; mostly due to the studio’s bad habit of haphazard lackluster story writing. Its 5 different storylines were hard to follow & went know where (with the minions story being completely unnecessary), and any story that was worth telling was shoved out the door to awkwardly pursue routes that made little to no sense., The series humor has gone from passible to cringe-worthy (with new character Dru being the pinpoint for most of it). But most of all; this wasn’t a bad series, until now. Overhyped & over-commercialized, yes, but the stories & humor were clever and meshed well together back then. The first two had a certain charm to them, and the spin-off, while not as good, worked fine. Now I find the story & humor at odds, and it feels like Illumination is no longer willing to let the two work together. I really don’t like Illumination any more, and if they start making terrible Nintendo movies too, I will curse their name to the heavens forever. Here’s to the hope for better movies to come; cross your fingers.

Runners up:

The Emoji Movie (a complete waste of money, time, talent, effort, and space)

Batman & Harley Quinn (Painfully cheap, boring, unnecessary, and more)

Tom & Jerry & Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (your new rifftrax bait, have fun, it deserves it!)

—Also—

Frozen Xmas Special (you’re pushing your luck Disney)

Smurfs Lost Village (irritating waste of good potential)

Best Live Action Film:

Guardians of the Galaxy V2

I was actually tempted to just say this is the best film (period) of the year, but as an animaniac, I feel that honor should always go to an animated film, and it just didn’t feel right saying otherwise.

However, this film rocks! Colorful, creative, fun, energetic, and brimming with all kinds of emotion. You’d have to be a fool not to enjoy it, I say!

Runners up:

Spiderman; Homecoming (I liked it more than I thought I would)

Wonder Woman (historically above average)

Worst Live Action Film:

Pirates of the Caribbean 5

Good grief has this series fallen from grace. Amid its boring story, characters, McGuffins, & continuity errors, there is the one simple fact that four movies after the awesome de-view of ‘The Curse of the Black Pearl,’ P of the C has finally done the impossible by making Swashbuckling adventure BORING, and that is just unforgivable! Maybe it’s the convoluted mythology, or maybe it’s the haphazard writing or the overly-serious tones of later films. IDK, all I do know is that I am glad it’s over. Let’s make pirates fun again (in like 2025).

Runners up:

Transformers Last Night (only saw half, that’s all I needed)

Monster Trucks (brought to you by January)

Jumanji reboot (it’s on my bad list, but know that it’s okay)

Wish I saw:

Thor: Ragnaroc (ooh this looks sooo fun!)

Molten Marston & the Wonder Women (^^;)

Atomic Blonde (h-h-h-h-heartstopper!)

Hey Arnald Jungle Movie (Damnit, I love Hey Arnald!)

Leap! [Ballerina] (I’m sorry, I meant to get to you later)

Glad I missed:

Beauty & the Beast, live action (screw this movie and the fact that it even exists)

Justice League (DC / WB, won’t you plz take a break?! Come back when you are ready & able)

Surf’s Up 2 (there are no words for this, I’m speechless… … …)

Logan (you know what; I was going to watch it. I had it in my hands for months, but in the end, I decided against it. Why? Because it looks grim and boring. X23 looked super cool, but I’ve never had a fondness for Wolverine or the X-men. In the end, I caved, and turned my attention elsewhere. Sorry. I heard it was good for fans)

5. what was your favourite cartoon as a kid?

I’m gonna say Kim Possible. I loved that and I’ve watched the A Sitch in Time movie about 10 or 20 times. I remember recording this little tv movie or special thing about them fighting evil Christmas toys, these little red and black action figures. There was snow everywhere, because it was a Christmas special. I think it was a Christmas special.

6. what’s your favourite cartoon now?

It’s definitely Ninjago. Call me immature, but I love it. I feel emotionally attached to these characters.

43. what was your first profile picture?

I’m gonna say for here. I think it was a picture of Derpy from mlp fim. *cringe*

86. what was your favourite ever christmas present?

I gotta say my acoustic guitar that I got for Christmas this year. My aunt, uncle, and cousins got it for me. It was wild. They did this whole suspense thing with it. First, they gave me picks, then they gave me a stand, and finally a guitar in its case.

Back on my bullshit

Look at him. Look at my baby boy. He's perfect.

I have returned to my ninjago my little pony garbage and I'm having a great time with it. I'm doing all the ninja but first up is Lloyd and he actually has a lil bit of lore

There's no real au or lore here but I had a fun idea and ran with it. So in mlp there's this species called kirin which look kinda dragon-y but they also have the ability to turn into a creature called a nirik, the black fire-y evil version. In this au the fsm and wu are kirin and garmadon is a kirin turned nirik and Lloyd is a half kirin (misako is a pony). It's cool and has neat lore and also lets me draw pony Lloyd with lil droopy ears and a fluffy tail and silly little horns.
