In metkayina village tonowari and ronal are the rulers of their people, and are well know and respect. The couple had so far had three children together two sons aonung and Rotxo and a daughter tsireya. They love their kids deeply and would do anything for them, they thought their family of five was complete. As they had their three kids that will lead the way for their people with them, but that something about life it always changing. That change will come one day and not only change their lives but many other lives as well.

tonowari " why don't we go for a walk or swim that will help you and our kids are with my mother, so we will be good" ronal had nodded her head and the couple soon left the village enjoying a swim. They had returned to island but arrived on different part of the village.

tonowari " yes I hear it but where is it coming from" ronal was looking for the source of the cry, until she saw something floating in the water and sand, a fee feet some the shore.

tonowari " ronal" ronal soon took off running towards the where the cry was coming, and soon spotted a toddler laying on rock, that was holding her up. she seem to be year younger then ronal other kids, she was so small as well.

ronal " hush little one" ronal soon picked up the baby in her arms it the baby was a girl, tonowari soon caught up to his mate.

ronal " she a baby but look at her tonowari she had features of metkayain but she smaller then the other little ones, she even has the blood of the sky people in her" ronal and tonowari looked at the child to see she had eyebrows and five fingers and toes, she even seem to looked different from all the other metkayian.

ronal " I don't know tonowari but I think she the sign eywa has been telling me"

tonowari " we can talk more about his later it getting late and we should get home" ronal had nodded her head carrying the baby in her arms, and soon headed back home with the child. Tonowari had picked up the three kids and they were surprised to see the baby theri mother was attend to, the kids soon settled down

ronal " she seems to be well even it seems like she be alone in the water for so long"

tonowari " I will send out a party first thing tomorrow to have someone look for her parents one of them most be sky people, for her to look like his she might be from the forest or ocean clan near the forest"

tonowari " how awful a child so young alone already and I don't think we will find her clan"

Even due the clan had spoke their feeling about you they had learned quickly that speaking poorly of you, is a bad mistake as ronal will not having anyone speak poorly of her child. Tonowari had become protective of his daughter growing dislike towards others, who will speak horrible about his daughter. As the years go by you will soon become a wonderful teen and member of the clan.

Paleo Pines Gameplay FAQs

WARNING: Spoilers under the cut

How do I get more Poppin flavours? If you've only unlocked Crunchy, you can unlock the next one by either feeding a Styracosaurus a Crunchy or you can talk to Mari after completing the taming tutorial and entering/exiting the Plaza. After that, the next one comes after you enter Dapplewood for the first time and then Pippin will have a quest every day/few days or so.

Are there any future content plans for the game? There are no current plans for more content. At the moment, we're bug fixing but we will add some commonly requested features too! If the game does well, we'd LOVE to make more!

Making money is hard, what are some good ways to do so? Doing quests from the town board is a good way to make money if you don't need the rewards!

Later on, growing higher star crops can sell for a lot and can become consistent - especially berry bushes/trees as they don't require watering/constant care!

How do I get turnips? Sometimes they can be rewards from quests, but Granny will sell the seeds if your friendship is high enough.

How do I get strawberries? Corlan can sell them and Granny will sell the seeds if your friendship is high enough.

How do I get forest wood? In Dapplewood; - Regular wood logs: - Path near stegos - Woods near treeceratops - Area around Agami's

Forest wood logs: - Theri area - Anky area - Troodon pond when drained - Log at the megalo area

Single forest wood: - Centro area - Stego area - Back of Deinocheirus area - Near treeceratops - Megalo area - Troodon pond (drained)

Can I cancel quests/requests? For now, no.

Can I cut down trees on my ranch? Marlo is the only person who can cut down mature trees (since they're important to the people of Paleo Pines) but we never quite managed to get that into the game. It's on our big list of would-be-nice-to-add features.

How do I blur distant objects/make text larger/add high contrasting text/adjust field of view? These are all available in the settings menu!

How do I split stacks? Look in the help menu- there are a lot of tips on sprinting/stack splitting and other control-specific instructions! (For example, on Xbox hold RT and press Aand the stack will split, hold RT and the 'up' on the dpad will bring across one thing at a time)

What do small dinos do? Our small dinos are tenders and discoverers!

For their discovery abilities, simply use your flute to ask them to follow you and go out in the wild- they will find wild collectables and signal to you that they've found something! (Plus all dinos love going for walks)

Tender abilities are unlockable by talking to a special NPC (Avery) in Pebble Plaza in Jurassos! Once you do quests for him, he'll give you some tools to help your smaller friends farm!

How do you get a sleeping patch to make a dreamstone? It's the other way around - sleeping patches are made by upgrading dreamstones, which you find hidden around the wilds. Marlo has an option to downgrade a sleeping patch back into a dreamstone in case you change your mind about which type you wanted, but most players won't need to use that.

How do I get a dino to trust me enough to be a helper? There are multiple ways to raise the happiness of a dino enough so they'll be a helper. It will take a few days before it is enough.

Make sure to feed the dino a treat they like Feed the dino their favourite poppin Take the dino on a walk to the zone they came from Pet their nose, Play their friend song, Keep their pen clean, Make sure their pen is the biome it likes, Try to match their social type- Make sure the dino has enough penmates (different kinds of dinos can share a pen as long as they like the same food!) Make sure they have enough food!

Remember: Some Dinos can take a while to become your helper- as long as you're consistent and checking on them, you'll be on the right track! But not all dinos will become helpers in 2-3 days! How do I change the biome of a pen? Either by changing 2 dreamstones to a biome or by placing at least 3 of a decor type inside the pen!

How do I know what kind of Biome my dino wants? If you use your journal on them, usually it will say what kind they want!

How do I take my dino for a walk? Yoohoo the dino with your flute, then ask it to follow you and then walk to wherever you want to go! You can have three dinosaurs follow you at any one time (or 4 if you count one as your steed).

What does social type mean? It's the amount of Dinos in one pen. Loner type dinos only want to be by themselves. Pack dinos like to be in a pen with 2 to 3 other dinos. Herd dinos want lots of friends, preferably 3+!

I have lots of herd dinos in a pen but it says the pen is too small! You can check the journal for a dinos minimum preferred space, each dino wants that amount of space so if you have 3 dinos who want 20 minimum space, then your pen should be 60 minimum. You can open your journal by the gate to see how big your pen is!

What kind of Poppin/Treat does X dino like? Check out paleo.gg! It looks great and has a lot of information on each dino, including their favourite flavours of treat/Poppin!

How many dreamstones are there? There are enough dreamstones for one of each of every dino plus a handful more- in exact, there will be 45 Dreamstones. You can swap large dreamstones for small dreamstones (and vice versa) from Archeo Pelago in Ariacotta Canyon

With your thoughts on orc breeding out of the way- who would best to worst dad?

Oh man, this is a hard question! I will try with some of the Uruk/Olog boys i like the most, and hopefully my reasons make sense xD 1- Bruz the Chopper. Yes, I think -Bruz would be a good father. Despite what he did to Talion, he seems to be so genuinely nice for an orc. He is all smiles, very casual, treats you like a friend.... So idk, something tells me he would be good with children! He would know how to connect to his children and train them into nice warriors! 2- Azog the Defiler. OK SO HE ISNT IN THIS GAME BUT- Isnt Bolg his son?? this mean this orc DID breed, he IS a father. Now- I havent finished the hobbit triogy, but his son looked to be quite capable and respect him a lot. Also, he does lead other orcs, and i think orcs father are more like leaders for them, sooo yeah! Then again, I think he woud be a good father in ORc standards... in human though...

3- Ratbag. My poor boy Ratbag... Dont get me wrong, I think he would try. Very hard... But he simply isnt the brightes or most resposible in my eyes. Like... I can see him having to practically abandon his children in times of need- and he would say something like "They need to be independant!!!" Or something- he would feel AWFULL but like... they are orcs! Orcs need to face hardships on theri own to grow! Or something! BUT that said, he would def teach them all he knows. How to be sneaky, how to stay alive, how to befriend people stronger than them... And maybe, just maybe... He can get others to train his children so they become more than him- better, stronger, smarter! He would be one proud papa.

4- Bolg. Since i mentioned Azog i fee like i must mention his son too. Sadly I dont have much more to add to him. I think He coul be an ok father, if he follows his own fathers footsteps, but still, something tels me they both would be cold parents. They want their orc children/ tribe to be fierce, strong. No weakness would be allowed. So im sure they would be pretty toxic... I think he woukd get rid of any weak children he has...

5- Vog the Eternal. Im so sorry, but I cant think of Vog as a good father. He goes to the end of my lost simply because i just... I just cant! If anything since he is a necromancer, if any of his children dies he would be like "I can bring them back- STRONGER!" Wich isnt a good thing to say as a dad...

Sergeant Simon Riley dont do clubs, just like his shitty father he liked rock and not what ever the fuck they played at this shady club, that Tommy learned about from god knows who. They are in a small underground club in Glasgow and the only reason Simon is here is to look after his littel brother. He does it for the piece of mind of their mother, so he spents his leave before he joins his first squad after boot camp in shady techno clubs making sure Tommy dont get any drugs. Hes failing because apearently Tommy is having his secound glas of a colorfull drink in his hand chatting with a teenboy around his age. So they are both 17, but it seems nobody cares about underage drinking in this shit hole. He sighs deeply, knowing he now has to babysitt how ever Tommy is becoming assosiated with. Hopefully this is a better influence on his brother then trash he calls friends. He pushes himself of the wall, time to make sure Tommy is not befriending more people that have a bad influsence on him.

"Really, thats your first rave?", Tommy ask exitet to meet a new person. "Yeah, my da will kill me if he learns i sneaked out", Johnny answers. "Oh, so your a golden boy breaking the rules for the first time?", Tommy ask neither Simon or he wear ever a good child with therie dad and all. "Yeah, with going to church every Sunday", the scot answers. "How did you learn about this place?", Tommy ask, noticing Simon is walking in their direction needing to finish his drink before his big brother is reaching them. "Some guys at the school rugby team talk about it all the time", Soap answers. "You want to try E later?", Tommy ask him hastly as Simon coming closer and closer. "Sure", Johnny answers never having taken drugs in his live but Tommy seams to have experience. "Oh, hey Simon", Tommy say smilling at his big brother, predenting he not just asked a person he just meet to take drugs with him. When Soap looks at up at Simon he feels himself blush a bit. Simon, dressed in all black looks fucking hot. The black eyeliner his wearing making his brown eyes apear more golden then brown. "Johnny", Soap interduces himself asking himself why he finds this guy hot, girls are hot, boobs are hot, guys are not hot. Beeing gay is a one way ticket to hell, but it is probably not forbitten to acknowledge a other man is attractive. The next thinks he notices is the fresh military style hait cut Simon is having. "Simon", Simon intereduced himself before shaking Johnnys hand. "You, eh dont look like you usally go on raves", Soap states his observation, that Simon looks more like he is about to go to a punk concert or something like this. "Just here to look after Tommy, so he dont get in troubel again", Simon explains trying to remove some of the glitter on his black t-shirt just spreading it further. "Thats cool of you, would do the same for my siblings", Johnny states. "Johnny want to dance?", Tommy ask knowing they wont get any E when they dont get rid of Simon. "Sure, see you around Simon", Johnny agress follwoing the younger Riley on the dance floor.

Johnny and Tommy are now meating regulary at raves all over britain. Tommy more influancing Johnny to break rules then Johnny is able to influence Tomy to dont do drugs and finish school. "How's Simon", he ask while they are eating burgers at a McDonalds both waiting for the first train back home. "Shiped out, Iraq probably", Tommy says rather uninterested. Johnny picked up real fast that the relationship between the brothers as not as good as he origanly thought. "How are thinks with your dad?", Tommy ask knowing that with every rave they are going thinks get worse for Johnny. "I dont know, he stops beeing angry as if he just gave up on me." "Thats good right?" "No, it feels like he just stoped carring about me, making sure that my sisters are not ending up like me." Tommy is not really able to relate to this. "There is this girl in my class", Tommy start to change subject, so they dint have to think about their dads. "Oh." "Her names Beth, but i dont think she would ever look at a lost cause like me." "I think if you would just do your homework you would stop being such a lost cause." "You sure?", Tommy ask as if Johnny said the most outlandish think. "Trying wont hurt.", Soap says before eating some fries. "I guess." They sat in silent for a why but its clear that Johnny has something on his mind. "You think that being gay is a sin?", Johnny ask out of the blue. Tommy is thinking about it, mostely because the drugs are slowly wearing of. Being in the rave sceen defently changed his thought on sexuality and its clear this is something that Johnny strugels with. "Pretty sure people go to hell for worse think then beeing gay Johnny. If its a sin god can go fuck himself." "Tommy, you cant say think like that about god.", Johnny looks scandalised at his friend. "God, clearly didnt helped or cared about us in our fucked up home, I can talk about him how I want", Tommy says shrugging his shoulder before bitting in his burger again.

"Johnny, you are walking on thin ice here", Tommy hisses clearly concerned that he will get hurt. "I can handel these guys", freshly turned 18 years old Johnny assures. Tommy already sees Simon walking over to them in a incredibly speed with how packed the dance floor is. "Just drop it or the party is over", Tommy trys to end the situation before Simon does. Simon is reaching them observing the situation critical. Tommy looks apologetic at his big brother, clearly knowing that Simon will end the situation very soon and drag both of them out of the club. He just steps behind Johnny, looking with a death glare at the dealers and then just pick Johnny up like hes weighting nothing and throws him over his shoulder. Johnny face is burning because of a mix of emberesment and hornyness. Oh god he has a crush on Tommys brother, hes pretty sure that Simon is of limits. He just resently came to terms with being bisexual. The only time he ever ask Tommy about Simons sexuality he got a annoyed look and 20 minutes monologe why Simon is not that special and the final answer of Simon beeing straight. Tommy is follwoing them outsite where Simon puts Johnny down near the people standing outsite for a quick smoke. They clearly are catching a lot of attention from the smokers. "Johnny, when I see you talking with dealers again the party is over", Simon say with a angry voice, it's already bad enough he can't keep Tommy away from drugs but Johnny? Johnny has a bright future ahead of him unlike Tommy or himself. "Yes, of course. I will stay away from them." "Good lad", Simon says before pating Johnnys head like he would pet a dog. The blush on Soaps face is getting darker fuck, fuck, fuck. The people start to stop paying attention to them, seeing that nothing interesting is happening. Tommy is just puting his hands over his eyes being embarrassed for Johnny. Its the last night these 3 will see each other.

Al Mazrah 2022

Ghost watches the mariens jumping out of the trucks before boarding the plane. Then he hears Shepard over radio: “Marines are loading in now. You and the Sergeant are leading the way on this.” “The Sergeant?”, Ghost ask confused, there was no meantion of a Sergeant in the files. Price would have told him if he had a colead for the mission. “Soap MacTavish”, the General just says as if Ghost should know this. A young looking soilder is walking in his direction and Ghost has the feeling that he knows these blue eyes and big smile from somewhere. “Let's get ourselves a win, yeah, L.T.? Save ye a seat, sir...”, Soap says before punishing his shoulder and jogging up the ramp to the plane. "Fucking hell...”, Ghost muters to himself, forgetting his still on line with the General. "What was that Lieutnant?", Shepard ask. "Nothing, Sir", Ghost says before boarding the plane himself. Why does Soap look so familiar to him, he has the feeling a long buried memory is about to resurface from a time before Roba, a time when Tommy was still alive. MacTavish, MacTavish... Johnny, the realisation is hitting Ghost like a truck. Tommy is dead for nearly 7 years now and he still finds new ways to haunt him from his grave.

Obviously they all love Lou Jitsu movies. I picture them all watching one fish, two fish, red fish dead fish for the first time and just slowly Turing to look at Leo realizing that this is the movie that inspired the fish and ladder fight and him snaking a Neko ninja in the face with a fish.

While they don’t understand Jupiter Jim they all like the vibes of it. Usagi desperately wants to understand as Leo LOVES Jupiter Jim.

As far as really life franchises:

The lord of the rings entraps their minds as the fight sequences are great but it’s also so different from their world.

They all like Disney/dreamworks. Kitsune especially loves the music and learns to sing along much to Donnie’s and Leo’s excitement. (Donnie’s trilled to have another potential theater kid, Leo loves to sing along)

Gen’s favorite is emperors new groove.

Kitsune loves a Disney princess movie but her current favorite is Aladdin (a theif finding love and a home no she’s not identifying at all)

Usagi likes most of them. His favorites are quest for Atlantis as the blending of to worlds remind him of him and Leo (along with the choosing to stay behind with your lover)

they all love Mulan as everyone should.

Tangled causes mixed emotions for Usagi. On one hand it’s a fun adventure. On the other the lantern scene remindes him so much of the end of the yoake festival. And while he normally loves the festival the last time he was a part of the lantern ceremony all he could do is wish for Leo to be by his side. To see two lovers in that moment hurts, to see them tricked and separated right after hurts more.

They also like the shows. Gravity Falls, Owl House, and others are big hits in the group.

Gen’s a big fan of the superhero movies just like Raph is.

They are all fans of Avatar the last air bender.

What is the weirdest thing you've ever seen anyone do?

Knoron: I'm not sure. I don't know. I don't know many people who do weird things. Or many people in general, I guess. Does Tsalir drinking during the day count as weird? Theri-vin: Maybe not the weirdest thing but I once saw another servant use a book as kindling for a fire. I of course threatened to fight them over that atrocity. Of course the uneducated lout couldn't read and didn't have the appropriate respect for books. Tsalir: My husband does all kinds of weird stuff. I guess it's 'cause he's from down south. He insists on taking his shoes off in the house and gets mad if anyone doesn't do the same thing. And he eats food weirdly. And he says normal clothes are "too prudish and boring" and insisted on having the tailor redo his perfectly fine clothes to match his stupid whims. Shylar: My sister has full intelligent conversations with frogs, talking as if they actually answered her questions and as if they were fully participating in the conversation. Isn't she so charming? Talinar: One time my father-- Shylar, why are you shushing me?

How do you usually talk to customer service workers? (Changing "customer service workers" to "servants" because none of them would know what a customer service worker is and because they have all interacted with servants before, and I think how someone treats a servant is roughly equivalent to how they would treat a customer service worker.)

Knoron: I try to be polite and respectful to them. Theri-vin's a servant, after all. How would he feel if I was rude to people like him? Theri-vin: As briefly as possible. I have no reason to converse with servants of a lesser role than myself. I can do everything I need on my own, and they don't like me anyway. Tsalir: I'll say whatever to them that will make them get the job done as fast as possible Shylar: Politely, of course. Although their status might be lower than ours it would still reflect badly upon me were I rude to them. Talinar: The same as I'd talk to anyone else? Why would I talk to them differently?

What is the most bizarre dream you've ever had?

Knoron: I had a dream where Mavis could talk. Does that count? [For context:Mavis is a rabbit.] Theri-vin: Dreams aren't logical or real so they're too dull to talk about. Tsalir: I don't remember, I can't remember the last time I had a dream. Shylar: Oh, nothing too outlandish, I'm sure it's not worth talking about. Talinar: This one time I had a dream where a giant skull with algae stuck to it rose out of the river and a hundred skeletons ran out of its mouth and wandered the countryside and everyone who ran into them died-- why are you looking at me like that?

Aren’t you happy?

This is your home. This is where you grew up.

These dusty roads are still the same. These dilapidated houses are still the same. These weary townsfolk are still the same. You are the only thing that is different. Yet you aren’t happy.

Therion tugged his scarf over his nose to keep the dust out. These old roads were still the same. These old houses were still the same. These old people were still the same.

No wonder he hadn’t liked it here.

It wasn’t just the precarious position the town of Boulderfall had placed itself in, carved into the side of a cliff, but it was also the blatant separation of people.

Those rich nobles at the top wanted everyone to be unhappy and isolated. They wanted people at the bottom to stay at the bottom.

How had he managed to stay in this place as long as he did?

As he wandered the familiar streets, he saw a few familiar faces. They all greeted him like they knew him personally, and he greeted them back like he knew them.

In a way, they did know each other. Whenever he had managed to get a good steal, he would share some of it with the people at the bottom. He would divvy it up and give it to them, and they would look at him like he was a saviour.

In a way, he was.

He remembered when they had all shown him kindness after he stumbled into their town, bleeding and shaken and disoriented. They had healed him to the best of their ability, done their best to make sure none of his wounds were infected.

He would forever be grateful to the people of Boulderfall.

As such, he stopped by their houses, greeted all of them by name, and shared with them. He gave them little expensive trinkets with the explicit consent to sell them. “Sell them,” he said. “Give them away. Do whatever you want with them. If it helps, take more. I have plenty.”

And he did. He had entire pouches full of things to help them. He supposed he could have brought food, but there was the risk of it spoiling in the heat of the Clifflands, and he would rather offer no food than rotten food.

He had also brought books. They were ‘borrowed’ from Cyrus, but he wouldn’t miss these ones. They had been collecting dust on his shelf, clearly only read once before being tucked away as a trinket to show off.

Professor Albright wouldn’t miss these books.

He read to them, chapters out of every book he had brought. He gave them to the ones that could read, so they could share with the ones that couldn’t.

He gave them books to burn, to read, to sell. He gave them what they needed to survive for even just a little bit longer in this dystopian town.

Aren’t you happy?

He would forever be grateful to the people of Boulderfall. To the people who had been his saviours, who now looked to him as their saviour in turn.

But it would forever be home to him.

HIYA!!!

I GUESS THIS IS AN INTRO OR WHATEVER BUT I AM JUST GONNA TAKE A LOT OF STUFF FROM MY PRONOUNS PAGE SO YE

NAMES - I go by a lot of names, mainly going by Kandi/Vixen right now! The nicknames to call me are Kands/Vix!! I am also a fictionkin of a bunch of different characters so you can call my by any of the names of the characters I kin!!

3) Have you ever unfollowed someone over a fandom opinion? - …I want to say no but I actually have done that a couple of times - whenever it happens it's always with a really popular content creator so I can't say it's a great loss on either of our sides.

4) Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP? - Is Osvald/Throne big enough to count as a popular OTP? I've been seeing it a lot on my feed at least aksjaks like I know they're both adults but something about the age gap that's over a decade large makes me uncomfy. It's totally fine but I guess it's just not my thing? That's also generally my attitude towards Olberose even though I know IMPLICITLY that Olberic and Osvald would never do anything bad to them.

13) Unpopular opinion about XXX character? this could be better reserved for a different ask but like. Therion is one of the only ones that I have strong negative feelings on so let me unpromptedly tell ya'll why I think his story is the worst in both games, at least design-wise

Like. I UNDERSTAND what the game was trying to go for here. I also understand how people have come to like and relate to him so much, for reasons pertaining to his backstory and personality. I promise I get it. It's not like Theri himself is a horrible character but it's so not enough to salvage his story in my eyes

But there's a laundry list of reasons why I dislike Therion's arc and all of them have to do with the limitations of OT1's format. His story was just not suited for it, SPECIFICALLY because his story is all about regaining his trust in people. Like - every game critic on the planet can pop off about the lack of interaction between the Travelers, SURE, but in Therion's case I think the criticism is correct, because all of his growth can be achieved without ever having triggered the banters. It just feels so??? Unearned??? Because the people we're supposed to believe made this happen were Cordelia fucking Ravus and Heathcote - I don't hate either of those characters, just to clarify, but I think they're horrible catalysts for Therion's growth because for fuck's sake dude he's basically ENSLAVED by them. That sounds like a bit much, but Therion had no agency in this. Chapter 2 taught him BARELY ANYTHING, and in Chapter 3 he just HAPPENED to run into Darius again. How the FUCK am I supposed to believe that Cordelia's venting session did anything good for him in between that and meeting Darius again in Chapter 4??? Unless we're here to argue HEATHCOTE and that comes with its own set of problems.

I say this every time I complain about Theri's story - he is this game's biggest victim story-wise. If they just waited a little more to pull the lone wolf angsty thief storyline until they figured out a way to make a more interconnected plot, then I think it would have worked better! Out of every Traveler, Therion is the one who would have benefited the most from a Crossed Paths, hands-down - in fact switch Therion and Throne around and you'd have less loss because even Throne makes an effort to get closer to her companions on her own! My god! Give Therion better candidates to reconnect with! Like you know - the seven other guys you get to use???

14) Unpopular opinion about your fandom? - Sometimes I do think we go too hard on shipping, but that's an opinion I have about every piece of media ever so - but yeah uhm. Please make more genfics. I ship it because they just have such a beautiful relationship, they are honest and vulnerable with each other like they are with no one else and have so much fun together, and that's just peak romance for me. (And HOW THEY LOOK AT EACH OTHER JFC)

My favorite things are how their lives are clearly so intertwined; they spend a lot of time together and choose to and I also love that they go to one another when they need help or to talk out something they are struggling with. And the whole family thing they got going on with Chris

Sterek: SHIP IT

I ship this because they are a beautiful example of enemies to lovers imo. The subtle progression of theri relationship just really hooked me. They couldn't stand each other but did everything they could to keep each other alive and then built up this mutual respect.

My favorite things are their banter and the way they always ended up being there in each other’s worse moments to reach out a hand and help

I'm not sure if this is an unpopular opinion or not, and it's more of a preference than anything I guess, but I don't think anything would or should happen between them while Stiles is in high school. I always imagine Derek as like 5 years older and them becoming more once Stiles is in his twenties

Summary: There is a tree haunting Maruca.

“Maruca, have you eaten yet?” Maruca hasn’t yet. She grabs some butterblasts from the empty kitchen. “Remember to hydrate, topaz. You’re not a cactus.” Open the fridge. Take the lushberry juice. Biana would argue that it doesn’t taste that bad. (It really does.)

“So. What you doing today, ‘ruca? You should dye your hair purple again. It’s pretty. I’ll give you extra cuddles if you do.” Maruca isn’t going to dye her hair today. She’s still washing the faded green streaks out. (She’s not sure she’s ready to, just yet.) There’s wisterias drooping over the entrance of their cave, though. They’re purple. 

(Wisterias symbolize longevity and immortality. They were supposed to have their long life, together, and wisterias were supposed to be theri lucky charm. Maruca looks at the wisterias now, then the tree that was all remained of seriously and all she feels is irony and that familiar heart-wrenching longing that sends her spiraling through nothing and everything she remembers.)

“It’s the last day of green,” Maruca tells Biana. “Sophie and Marella and Linh and I are going to burn my- our green stuff. Mostly it’s just for Marella to let off some steam. Fi’s been more pissed lately and fi hasn’t burnt stuff in weeks.” 

Biana laughs a little. It’s pink, and has as much life as the bright teal leaves in front of Maruca. “That’s great! How're you doing?”

“Better when you’re here.”

“Did you clean your room yet? You know the rule. No kisses if I come in and see clothes and vinyls everywhere, topaz.”

“Already did, bee.” 

 “Got another DVD?”

“A Taylor Swift Folklore CD. Sophie says I’m old, and I told her she just had bad taste. I think I’m in trouble with the Keefitz.”

“I’ll miss the music-”

“I’ll play them for you. I still won’t let you touch them.”

“And you, Maruca. I-”

“I’m here, bee. You’re h-” Ae isn’t. Ae has to be. Tree outside the window aer laughing breezing through pink flowers teal leaves haunting her- They were supposed to be forever, together. Maruca wasn’t supposed to be here in their home, alone. “You’re here, too.”

“I miss you.”

Pick up the recorder, skip, press play again. Biana’s voice sounds more magenta now. Still pink, still so familiarly lively. “Hey, topaz. Hopefully you don’t have to ever play this and Fintan doesn’t burn down the entire world, b-but hey! You don’t have an excuse to forget me anymore!”

“But just in case, topaz, it’s been millenia and Fallon Vacker’s lifespan didn’t make it to me, I l-”

Press stop. Sit there looking at everything that reminds you of aer, the wisterias you grew together the beanbag chair ae fell asleep in on your shoulder the ridiculous wallpaper ae picked out and you laughed at the teal pink leaves and brown bark looks so much like braids so much like aer- 

"It hasn't been millenia yet," Maruca tells the nothingness. "They just took everyone too soon.

Even still there is much to be learned through Ha Shem about the one that exists in the present if one can prove to God he is really a Jew. Following is the second part of an office we started yesterday. Most offices in Judaism begin with Seven Days and then continue with Four Directions.

Each cell must be analyzed using the four methods of Torah analysis and then proven using Chabad. I make sure some aspect of each is thrown together here in each "frame" of the Book of Judges.

Chochmah= the question= "how to be the most tasteful shopper of the attributes of the Jewish Self.

Binah= as one collects data from the Torah, one must give up one's attitudes and limitations that do not become the most tasteful person one can be.

Da'at= the new Hebrew Habit which the Torah promises will result in Sukkoth, " a wearable fabulous attribute one will want to display."

We just looked at the Seven Days in the previous frame, now we are going to learn how "turning" benefits the enlightenment of the mind. Confidence is wonderful but that is not the end result a Jewish person wants:

8 From there he went up to Peniel[a] and made the same request of them, but they answered as the men of Sukkoth had. 9 So he said to the men of Peniel, “When I return in triumph, I will tear down this tower.”

10 Now Zebah and Zalmunna were in Karkor with a force of about fifteen thousand men, all that were left of the armies of the eastern peoples; a hundred and twenty thousand swordsmen had fallen. 

11 Gideon went up by the route of the nomads east of Nobah and Jogbehah and attacked the unsuspecting army. 

12 Zebah and Zalmunna, the two kings of Midian, fled, but he pursued them and captured them, routing their entire army.

The Values in Gematria are:

v. 8-9: North- What is unknown or hidden by God: I will tear down this tower.

Mister Lightning Bolt, our protagonist armed with his self-esteem approaches Peniel, the turn in the wall between what is known and not known and says "I must know." Which means "I must know the Self."

The tower is Mighdal Ohr, "the aroused tower." One has to know why is mankind such a failure?

The Value in Gematria is 11039, יאאֶפֶס‎גט‎, "You peaked."

Have we really? That is an incredibly scary message.

v. 10. East: What is revealed by God but not understood yet by man. All that were left of the armies of the eastern peoples; a hundred and twenty thousand swordsmen had fallen. Men who did not doubt mankind could exceed its animal nature were cut down.

The Value in Gematria is 12317, יבגאז "The Seventh Moment."

=We do not properly understand the meaning of Shabbat. We think we do so we have stopped trying to reach the Seventh Light.

v. 11: South: What is understood by man. ‎He went by the route of the nomads, east of Nobah and Jogbehah:

Nobah=what a barking dog does

Jogbehah= to hope for what is exalted, to bring it down into oneself, to couple with it.

Verb גבה (gaba) means to collect. Nouns גב (geb), גוב (gob), גבי (gobay) and גובי (gobay) refer to locusts. Possibly a whole other verb גבה (gabah) means to be high, exalted or lofty, although this verb could actually describe a person who collected a heap, or who plunders a society like a swarm of locusts. In the Talmud the word for tax collector was derived from this verb. Adjective גבה (gaboah) means high or haughty. Noun גבה (gobah) means height or haughtiness. And noun גבהות (gabhut) means haughtiness.

Verb גבע (gabay) appears to mean the same as גבב (gabab), to be concave or convex. The very common noun גבעה (gib'a) means hill.

The unused verb גבן (gaban) probably meant to be curved, contracted or coagulated. Adjective גבן (giben) means humpbacked. Noun גבינה (gebina) means curd or cheese. Noun גבנן (gabnon) means peak or rounded summit.

The Value in Gematria is 6123, ו‎א‎ב‎ג‎, and ABG, "to learn about the house and the camel's neck"= the ivy= the tefillin= the Devarim.

The Devarim are the most important script besides the Shema and the Torah itself.

"These are the words which Moses spoke to all Israel on that side of the Jordan in the desert, in the plain opposite the Red Sea, between Paran and Tofel and Lavan and Hazeroth and Di Zahav."

Paran=to Glorify God

Tofel=whitewash away all folly

Lavan=learn which things convey folly and which convey understanding, which absorb light and become hot, which reflect light and stay cold.

Hazeroth=build a federation of enlightened persons, who heed the sprout, the grass, the reed, the fire and the trumpet.

Di Zahav=accumulate an abundance of knowledge about that which is everlasting.

The Value in Gematria is 10483, אאֶפֶסדחג‎ ‎, aapesdahg, "postone forever."

= do evil no more. Implies the habit for it has been bred out of society= Mashiach. The onset of Mashiach is supposed to postpone wickedness forever. Sounds good and also possible if we convince everyone on this planet to follow the Devarim.

12. West: What enlightens man. Zebah and Zalmunna, "the Purity Police and the Wolf Pack", the two kings of Midian, fled, but he pursued them and captured them, routing their entire army. The Value in Gematria is 6072, סז‎ב, "leave the desert, forsake it, abandon it, let it go, you are set free, depart and quit."

Appearance:

Male appearance: Chara stands at about 6'. He has short, fluffy blonde hair covering his eyes. He has freckles dotting across his face, chest, shoulders, arms, legs, and even his stomach, dipping below his waistline. He had a tiny black pair of horns, barely sticking out from behind his hairline and a thin, black, spaded tail. His ears are more pointed than the average human.

Female appearance: The female appearance looks very similar to her male self. In this form, however, her eyes are clearly visible, bright red. Her chest is surprisingly just as flat as in male form. Other than that, she looks practically the same. Perhaps more feminine facial structure.

Clothing: Under his armor, he usually wears a ragged, grey shirts and tattered, brown pants. Other than that, he is almost never seen without his armor. Standard chainmail armor with a few plates of metal on the chest, shoulders, and legs. He also wore gauntlets most of the time with a shield on his back, ready to be equipped at any moment.

History:

Abandoned on the side of the road as an infant, Chara was found and adopted by a family of Drow. He was surrounded by siblings, nephews, nieces, aunts, and uncles. He had a huge family who all accepted him without question. His siblings didn't hesitate to play with him, include him in their lessons, the older ones even tutored him when he struggled with a concept. The Drow family had turned their backs on Lolth a long time ago. Turning back to the pantheon of elven gods once more. Chara had, for some reason, taken a liking to Selúne. The elven goddess of the moon.

Originally, his parents weren't sure of what he was. They first thought him to be some sort of elf. When his horns and tail began to grow in mere weeks after they found him, they then thought he was a tiefling. Then, they also noticed he could shapeshift. Only noticing because his horns and tail didn't disappear when he used his ability. He had tried several times to shapeshift into his siblings to volunteer them for his chores. He was unsuccessful. It took them awhile to figure out that he was, in fact, a half breed. Tieflings and changelings don't typically have the ability to bear children together so this was a surprise to everyone.

As the years passed, it became more and more obvious that the other townsfolk didn't take kindly to him. Oftentimes, his parents and siblings were too afraid to ever let him go out on his own, fearful that one hateful person would be all it took to lose their boy. So, he was often seen with one or two members of his family when out in public, many of those times it was the older and tougher children.

Unfortunately, they couldn't protect him forever. After Chara's 18th birthday, disaster struck. A slow season had hit hard for the fishing rigs, the town's main source of food and income. The religious leaders jumped on the opportunity to spread hatred and fear towards all those with fiendish heritage. Tieflings began to disappear from their homes, being found dead in one way or another days later. Chara's family became more and more fearful of Chara being the next to disappear. They made preparations to flee from the town.

Unfortunately, they weren't fast enough. Chara couldn't have known. They never told him of the contempt others felt towards him. He knew people glared at him. But he always thought it was out of jealousy because his family was quite wealthy. But, oh how wrong he was.

He had been out at the local shop with two of his siblings, just looking to get himself some sweets. But when they exited the store, all three of them were swarmed with angry townsfolk. Even the two toughest siblings were overwhelmed by the sheer numbers and Chara was taken.

The half breed was dragged to the center of town, kicking and screaming about how he'd done nothing wrong. Nonetheless, he was accused of murdering an old woman that had recently passed away. Everyone in that crowd knew it was a lie. She had passed peacefully in her sleep. Chara had nothing to do with it. But still, he was chained to a pyre and ready to be burned for his perceived crime.

The fire spread slowly, agonizingly slowly. All the while, he screamed how he was innocent. How killing him wouldn't bring back the fish. How he didn't want to die. His cries fell upon the deaf ears of a bloodthirsty crowd. His tears did nothing to put out the flames. His family held by the other townsfolk while they begged them not to do this.

As he felt his shoes catching fire, he started calling out to the Gods in desperation. The fire spread to the bottom of his legs, burning away at the cloth while he screamed to any God that may be listening. Finally, he was answered. On this overcast night, the clouds parted and a single beam of moonlight shone down around him. The flames lessened and died on his body. In this single streak of moonlight, nothing caught fire.

It stayed this way until the wood of the pyre eventually burnt out, then the moonlight faded back into the clouds once more. It was a miracle. A miracle for someone they thought was the scum of the earth. The people were awestruck for only a few moments. That was all his mother needed to break free and pick the locks to his chains.

Chara left soon after. If for no other reason then to keep himself and his family safe. He currently wanders. Never staying in a town for more than a few days. Taking any odd job he could find to be able to eat and sleep in a bed rather than the streets. He works as a Sellsword but in all honesty, his only real combat experience is being shoved to the front lines and used as a meat shield.

Personality:

Chara likes to portray himself as tough and standoffish. But the second someone can get past that touch exterior, he's honestly a big, dumb golden retriever.

USP-08: August's Custom Cards

The Masqued shed their old identities to become anyone; known mostly for masks they wear that distinguish them from normal partygoers on the Palace Boats. The Faceless have masks of wood, bone, and dirt, or create faces that look like animals just because they know it is hard, otherwise, to tell where to look when you talk to them. Some take on forms designed to express an identity that demonstrates their skill, their aesthetic sense. But then there are those, in these same magics, who have their identities shriven from them – people who need magical aid to restore themselves to being a person again, people who somehow are there, but not, manifested to the world but done so without an identity. It is a strange thing to have every name, and stranger still to have none.

The theme of August was tricks. Tricks is a pretty broad group of things you can represent in the game, of course; a bunch of the cards were tricky by involving manifests (which let you do tricky things). Some were tricky because they invoked specific classic magic tricks. Some are tricky because they have changeling and enable a whole lot of different ideas in a little way. And some are tricks because the spell is something other than what it looks like.

Looking at these cards I’ve made I find myself kind of struggling to express how proud I am of what they represent in my head, but also, so afraid that there’s no clear vision for you, an outsider, of how well they work. Does this convey the right flavour? Am I overdoing this? Is it obvious what this is based on name and mechanics? Ah well, we’ll see.

In this flavour space, I think of the manifests as either proto-faceless, things that have not yet worked out how to have a identity, or failed Masqued, things that gave up their identity but weren’t strong enough to handle what happened. Again, like Changeling, this is two different ways of examining the same mechanic.

Quynn is the entrenched leader of the Masqued and possibly their first leader. A dedicated faceless manipulator, Quynn has spent so long orchestrating plans across identities amongst all the different factions of the Palace boats that Quynn has long since lost track of who is or isn’t on whose side, and that anything that renders these factions at peace with one another is not to be trusted.

Markhor is a sphinx living on the ice palace. They are an absolute pain in the ass; thery genuinely think the best way to convey information is to make it hard to understand because then you value it more when you solved it. Markhor is sure they are the smartest person in the room. They are possibly right. It doesn’t matter, they are just also very annoying.

Khenbish is a Temur planeswalker, who is stuck in the swirld of Ullaine’s reckless love. They believe in mysteries for their own sake, and exchange names for ideas. They are largely not that interested in what’s going on in this world, but it just so happens their home world’s morph magic and these wandering manifests are similar enough.

Aysun is a vampire lord meant to patrol the territory of the Outlands docks, there to keep the Barrens Scourged. She doesn’t want to, and thinks that’s stupid, and she’s not sure why. It’s probably because the assassination attempt she survived was done with a chunk of the Horned King’s horn, and now she has an ever-growing connection to the violent, primal part of nature that wants to feed. She’s disdainful of the Palace boats, and she has no idea how her loyalties will fall in the coming days.

Zyru is the prince of the Faceless. He’s not in charge of them – he’s just one of them so possessed of style and flair (and with such a pattern of behaviour) that Faceless happily regard him as their prince. Zyru is known for appearing in places, usually feasts and parties, and then rumbling someone who thought they could handle what the faerie-boy was about to deal out. Zyru’s technically got a side in this war, but most of all, he’s here to have fun.

Nil is the third of the Ravenous Hounds. The Hounds are meant to represent forces of nature trying to make death mean something – consuming the dead and cleaning up the work of planeswalkers. While Ole Doorscar attacks your life, and Psoglav feasts on bodies, it’s Nil who eats the soul, ripping away what you thought made you who you are.

And then finally, there’s Visha. Visha is a strange construct that lives at the Palace of the Dead. Periodically, Visha emerges, issues a proclamation and returns inside. Nobody understands what Visha is doing this for or why, but it’s now much more worrying when Visha appears and doesn’t go back inside, instead throwing some enormous porcelain hands.

I feel like I might spend more time than usual on single, specific card narratives this time, just because so many of these cards stand out in my mind. I can see how in the end of the design, a bunch of these cards’ relationship to tricks may be a bit obscure – like a Killer Approach is a fairly generic term for initiating a good magic trick. Still, there are some I think of as real treats!

Demask deserves special mention, as it is pushing the absolute limits of card space, in my mind. It was a sorcery originally, but the wording got larger and larger, until I opted for an aura (which also gives some counterplay). I had to get the wording base off a card called Dream Leash from Ravnica, which has a really odd wording because of templating changes since its original appearance.

Inviting Guest may hold a record for the most space on a card saved by avoiding reminder text. If it was a real card, it would also be the only card (that I could find) that has the word manifest on it without the reminder text for manifests (which makes sense; manifests are a complicated mechanic). In my mind, I think of the changeling as ‘Shion’ because the art reminds me of a friend’s OC (though the character is obviously a lot more flamboyant and rambunctuous than her.

There are two cards here that are secretly alchemy cards in disguise, or at least, that’s how they started. The Tide-Weaver multiplist is one, but the much cheekier one (in my opinion) is the Masque of Naught, which is meant to fulfill the role of the Juggernaut Peddler. It took a lot of wording iterations to pull that one down, including a bunch of very short names to try and save space.
