Calling all Satanists!
Any age, any kind of Satanism. I require some assistance. I’m doing a research paper on modern Satanism (for an English class but I chose the topic because I care about it) & I’d like to learn about the beliefs & experiences of real individual Satanists. I’ve made a google form asking questions about this. I’d appreciate it so greatly if any Satanists reading this could fill it out. It’d be best if you fill it out by Wednesday 9/13 but if not that’s okay & it’ll still be useful after that.
Thank you! Ave Satanas
Reblogs much appreciated too so hopefully more Satanists can see this

So many people have been reblogging my satanism posts lol, hello satanic side of Tumblr and remember to question what you read and be a good and active ally to Jewish people, women, POC, etc. since so many "satanists" in the past haven't been. Ave Satanas my dudes 🤘🏻

So, according to the screenshots I’ve seen from the Escape the Ministry game, it seems that the theory that Terzo was removed for not following the Ministry’s Plan was correct. I’ve seen some fans say that this was due to him focusing more on the individual and the people than on Satan.
If that is so, I find that very interesting because IRL Satanism, at least the non-theistic variety, is very much focused on the individual.
For instance, let’s look at the first two pillars of The Global Order of Satanism (a non-theistic Satanist collective):
Self-fulfilment and personal understanding allow us to support ourselves and therefore others.
Respect the inviolable body, autonomous will, and sovereign right of every individual to guide their own life and being; remembering that enjoyment of these rights is predicated on respect for the same in others.”
Very much focused on the personal and individual, albeit in a compassionate and non-selfish way.
Additionally, Satan is typically used in non-theistic Satanism as a symbol for knowledge and rebelling against systems that want you to just obey and fall in line.
From this perspective, by focusing more on the individual and going against the plan of his institution, Terzo was practicing Satanism arguably more “correctly” (or at least more healthily) than the Ministry was, and he was killed for it.

ngl, I wish there were physical meetups/social settings for theistic satanists. The Satanic Temple has different chapters you can join (there's one for most states, if not all the states), but at least for the chapter near me, it's strictly non-theistic and are not welcoming to theistic satanists. I know TST is overall atheistic, but I wish there was a similar group for us theistic satanists, or at least a group that is welcoming towards us so we could have some form of physical community ☹️

i remember being brought up christian like, almost concerned that i never felt a connection to any of the shit they were talkin about,
and when i was younger i was like "oh no! am i bad for not feeling connected to god?? is it bad i feel like my dead mom doesnt talk to me or watch over me?? am i horrible for pretending?????"
but turns out i just had Autism Powers that made me immune to it and i was able to completely sever myself from the idea of being Christian at the ripe old age of like 13. and it was such a HUGE comfort to see that there were all these other beliefs and spiritual sort of things that other people chose to believe in and didnt necessarily treat their beliefs as COLD HARD UNDENIABLE FACT the way christians treat the existence of god & heaven & hell
like now that i am older i know i was in fact traumatized by the culturally catholic beliefs my family held & forced on us all, but i am really immensely grateful that my child self looked at all the other aspects of christianity that would horrify most other children into behaving/conforming, and basically just went, "okay, source?"
and that was the end of that

QUESTION!!!
So, I have this compulsion to info dump about things that are important to me; everyone here knows that, SO!!! Since many of us have religious trauma, at least 95% relating to chr*stianity, how many of you would be open to me info-dumping about, Satanism? The Satanic Temple brand Satanism?
Preface: It's non-theistic and preaches Compassion and Logical Reasoning as basis for behavior, and acknowledges that people make mistakes! It also calls for Religious PLURALTY!!! (I'm being a fucking nerd for this tbh XDc)
SO!!!

So, TST organized an After School Satan Club in Wilmington Ohio this month. The response from local Christians has been predictable:
Tumblr media
Of course, Satan is "something evil and bad and dark" to most religious communities, but the concept of a "Kids Krusade" is fit for a children's program? Nothing about that concept is objectionable?
There needs to be alternatives and inclusive options for kids in extra-curricular activities hosted by schools outside of the established norms. If a KIDS KRUSADE is allowed to operate out of a government institution, then so are we. Hail Satan.

here's a fun few questions: which of your entities/spirits/demons/deities prefer coffee over tea? which of them prefer tea over coffee? how do they like their coffee? how do they like their tea?

The Ultimate Grimoire Guide
So! I have been seeing a ton of grimoire ideas and thought I’d stuff them all together. A lot of ideas are from @manifestationsofasort, @banebite, and @pigeonflavouredcake. Check them out! They have a ton of cool stuff there.
What Do I Use For My Grimoire?
You can use anything for a grimoire! For a physical one, journals, binders, and notebooks are good. For digital ones, Notion, Tumblr, Docs, and even just your file folder are great.

Things to put in your book of shadows
Of course, only put in your book of shadows/grimoire what you want. If you don't want to put certain subjects in your book then that's fine. It's your book, utilize it how you want. This is just a masterlist of ideas that I've put together. Feel free to add anything else to the list that I may have missed, because there's absolutely no way I included everything.
And for the love of all the gods, if you come across a closed entity or practice, don't try to work with the entity or practice if you're not already part of that group or tradition. You can research it but don't practice it.
