I think it’s so funny that Leia has developed a reputation in the fandom for yelling at Han, but also Luke. She’s become the ‘sassy bossy one’ while the boys are her victims.
However, we never see Leia yell at Luke. Not once in the original trilogy.
However, we do see them both yell at Han within the first 5 seconds of the them meeting in ANH.

Codywan Headcanon/AU that lives rent free in my head
I think my favorite codywan headcanon/AU is that they are just so good at being professional and discreet when they need to, for literal years, that no one knows they are a thing.
Like my favorite idea of codywan is that they both agree their duties and obligations come first. Honestly they kinda deal with it like a business contract. They sit down and agree: yes they have feelings for each other, yes they want to be together, yes they want as much as a relationship as they can get now since they both never know when one of them might die, yes they need to put their war duties first, yes Obi-wan will always put his Jedi duties first, yes Cody will always put protecting and creating a future for his brothers first, yes the will keep this relationship under raps as it could be under scrutiny for breaking GAR and Jedi rules, yes they will only act as a couple when off duty.
They are just the opposite of Anakin and Padme, no one knows about them. Cody and Obi-wan aren’t trying to hide it per say, they just are so good at being The Commander and The General that no one would ever think they were anything but professional coworkers and maybe friends. Even if there are signs they may be more, their friends and family overlook them because ‘Cody’s too strict about following the regs to be interested in a relationship’ or ‘Obi-wan is too focused on being a model Jedi and following the Code to be in a relationship’.
They are too good at balancing their lives and being ‘The Unproblematic Couple™’.
So when the war ends and they defeat Palpatine, save Anakin and get the clones rights (because we only Stan happy endings in this Codywan house), they both agree mutually to take a break.
Cody takes time to find himself away from the GAR and being The Commander. He spends time with his brothers and helping them all find their feet once they leave the GAR. He helps build a life for them all, while also taking time to find who he is besides a soldier.
Obi-wan spends time reconnecting with Anakin and Ahsoka, making amends with both of them. Getting to finally return to being a peacekeeper and not a General at war. I imagine he would maybe step down from the council to just be a simple Jedi. Not Master of Sorensu, youngest ever High council member, The Negotiator, General, or Sith Killer.
After their short break they agree to start meeting up again, seeing if they still feel the way they did about each other when not in the stressful environment of war and an army setting. But, lo and behold, they still of course love each other. (All the while everyone just assumes it’s Obi-wan and Cody meeting up as ex. Coworkers. They used to be the best of FRIENDS during the war)
After Obi-wan sees Anakin is fine (living with his wife and kids) and the rest of the Order isn’t in dire need of his help, and Cody sees his brothers are finding their feet in the world without need of his leadership, they both just decide they’ve been dating long enough (a few year during and after the war) and they’ve put other duties ahead of theirs relationship long enough.
They just fucking get married and buy a house. Obi-wan leaves the order and Cody moves away from his brother. And they just get married.
WHICH COMES OUT OF NOWHERE TO EVERYONE ELSE. Everyone’s like “??!!!”, “since when have you two ever been together?!”
And fucking Obi-wan and Cody (with biggest deadpan older brother energy) just say “oh yeah, since like the middle of the war? We thought you guys knew? It just never came up in conversation?”
Just absolutely bamboozling everyone in their lives. Rex and Anakin both are like “YoU nEvEr ThOuGhT tO tElL mE? YoUr BrOtHeR?”. Cue Obi-wan and Cody vaguely shrugging and saying ‘there were more important things going on’.
But yeah I just like the idea of Cody and Obi-wan jump scaring their families with their relationship.

Darkness between the stars
Tumblr media
Darth!Steve Rogers x female reader
Author's Note: On my recent wave of feels after Anakin's cameo in Ahsoka, I couldn't stop thinking about powerful Jedi Steve Rogers, who was once galaxy's hope, turning dark. This is very loosely inspired by Anakin's storyline, without going full on Vader-look (because Steve's face is too pretty to cover it with that ugly helmet; sorry, I make the rules here).
summary: You followed your Master when he gave in to the dark side, not believing the twisted values the Emperor spew, but because you couldn't imagine being anywhere other than by Steve's side. Even if you accepted the fact Steve's heart may forever belong to the woman he once loved.
warnings: angst; hurt/comfort; soft dark!Steve Rogers; some power imbalance; choking kink; implied age gap (since Steve was the Reader's Master), but Reader is of age
Tumblr media
The threat of thudding footsteps caused a spike of fear among the Imperial officers passing in the corridor outside - you sensed the stench of it. You could easily imagine them scattering away as quickly as possible, or trying to blend with the walls.
As cowardly as it was, it was also wise. Finding yourself in the path of an angry Sith Lord would end badly.
Thankfully, the medical droid stitching up your leg had no real human feelings, so it continued its work without a hitch even as the seal to the med bay opened and Steve stormed in.
All in his towering, dark glory.
Black robe swiping the floor, deadly lightsaber strapped to the utility belt, shiny buckles on the reinforced leather gloves on his hands.
Darth Nomad. Sith Lord.
Once upon a time a great, idealistic Jedi Master, Steve Rogers.
Though the Jedi Order no longer existed and his path had turned dark and bloody, he still remained Steve to you.
Only in privacy. Always in your heart, even as you addressed him as Master or Nomad when other's ears and eyes were on you. He owned you; his claws ran far deeper and clutched stronger than Palpatine’s influence on him.
You harbored a crush on your Master for years, hiding your thoughts and longing every day. As well every night, when you rested in your chamber at the Jedi temple and he returned into the arms of his beloved wife in her lush suite.
When you followed Steve to kneel at the Emperor's feet and pledge loyalty to the dark side, you perfectly sold the lie of the ambitious, proud apprentice who was bitter the Jedi were too weak. You claimed to want to continue your training and be on the winning side, the side of true power.
What you truly wanted was to be with Steve, even if it was only to suffer unrequited love as you helped him drown the world in blood.
The Emperor somehow bought it, or maybe simply thought it useful to have you serve the Empire, no matter your actual motivation.
However, Steve saw right through you.
He didn't confront you right away. Not for months. Until the two of you were on a solo quest, treading through the lush flora of an outer-rim planet, searching for an ancient artifact - much like you used to do as Jedi.
Did he catch you looking at his profile too long? Did he sense the change in your heartbeat whenever he was close? Was your Force bond so strong that he glimpsed into your desperate dreams?
Or maybe Steve simply knew you so well, after all the years.
When he reached for you, when he touched you, you knew it could deepen your later suffering. But you still gave in, if only for one night. If only you could taste him and fall apart under his command this one time.
But it wasn’t just one night. Nor a few chance encounters over the years.
Whatever it was between the two of you, has become a regularity. A wicked norm that sated, as well enhanced the craving that’s been burning inside of you. It seemed there was never enough; the desire for him simmered beneath your skin every day and your desperate love pushed you further into howling darkness.
Eerie, that love was what pushed Steve to the dark side as well.
There were other factors, layers upon layers, but it was the heart that sealed the deal. For the both of you.
Your tragedy was that Steve’s heart would never be yours.
So you fed off on everything else you were given - Steve’s attention, his lust, his protectiveness.
Which was why he stomped through the Executor like a deadly storm cloud - in his case, literally deadly - led by rage.
You knew it was mostly directed at the scum who dared to wound you, but some of it was also at you. For being careless in your small mission, which you attempted to keep secret from him.
His black cloak floated ominously around Steve as he stepped inside; his fingers clenched into fists, stretching the leather of his gloves.
“How serious is the injury?” Even in anger, Steve’s voice remained calm.
You opened your mouth to say it’s not that bad, but he gave you a pointed look that meant he wasn’t talking to you and that you were in serious trouble. The kind that may end with your ass bruised.
“A level two blaster wound to the thigh,” the medical droid reported. “It missed the artery and the muscle will rebuild with the protein enhancer we’ve injected. Patient’s skin has been sutured.”
Steve’s gaze flicked to your bare leg, eyes narrowing as he assessed the dressing over your wound. The droid wasn’t bothered by it, but if a living person was here instead, they’d sweat in fear of his disapproval.
“The patient may experience impaired mobility for the next day. No other complications are expected.”
Steve nodded, his eyes still on your leg. Though his trimmed beard gentled the sharp line of his jaw, you still saw the nervous tick of muscle. Then his gaze shifted along your half-dressed body and settled on your face.
He stepped closer to the bed and cupped your chin. Scent of familiar leather pleasantly dispersed the annoying smell of medical antiseptics.
“I’m gone for two days and you get yourself in trouble, Stardust.” Steve squeezed your chin a tad harder. “Should I keep you at my side at all times, like an irresponsible apprentice freshly in training?”
“Or-” he leaned in; the blue of his eyes searing like his old lightsaber- “maybe I’ll confiscate your weapon and keep you as a bedwarmer only?”
Before you managed to utter I’m sorry for failing, Master, Steve was lifting you in his arms. Stealing your breath with the gesture.
One arm beneath your knees, the other under your back. Your heart stopped for a moment, then rushed in a rapid pattern as he carried you out of the med bay.
It had to be a bizarre sight - the Dark Lord of the Sith, most feared in the whole galaxy Darth Nomad, who snapped necks with a flick of a wrist; was carrying a woman through the Star Dreadnought.
However, no one dared to stare, or even flick a curious glance your way.
Steve showed softness when you both laid spent after fucking, or simply wrapping an arm around your middle when you were sleeping, but he never carried you like that.
Even when he wanted you in a certain position when he fucked you, he either told you to do it the right way, or used the Force to bend your body how he wished.
Being cradled in his arms, out in the open, soothed that deep longing for true care on his part. Taunted you with deep feeling that you knew would never be real.
“Something’s troubling you.” Steve stated when the double-sealed entrance to his (and yours) chambers closed behind you. “And it’s not your injury, I sense.”
He crossed the space to the bedroom, where cold blue light changed into unsettling red that you learned to associate with safety. Black and red used to mean the enemy, the danger, even death, but Steve made you love it. Conditioned you to see it as the setting you belonged in.
“Well, my failure in successfully finishing my deal on Serenno,” you shrugged, but instantly cringed as you felt that lie failed miserably.
You weren’t a bad liar. When it came to Steve, however, it was as if the ability was malfunctioning.
At least ever since he slipped his gloved finger between your lips for the first time and softly commanded you to admit how much you craved him.
You yelped as Steve suddenly dropped you onto the bed. The muscle in your thigh spasmed, sending a painful jolt. Fingers gripping the dark sheets, you breathed through the wave of ache as you lifted your gaze to look at Steve.
His black robe dropped to the floor. He set his lightsaber down on the black, lacquered table, then unbuckled his utility belt. It fell to the floor with a dull thud.
“You do not lie to me, Stardust,” Steve’s glare was a warning as he braced his hands on his hips and waited for your honesty.
The reason hidden deep in your heart could bring you more trouble than withholding the truth from Steve. You feared speaking it aloud may cut you out of Steve’s life completely, if he learned that you were desperate for so much more than his cock.
But there was no way of hiding it from him for long. Not when he was on a hunt to rip that truth out of you.
Steve would get to it one way, or another. One could perhaps be a sexually torturous way, but there was also a chance of him reaping it from your mind with the Force.
You took a deep breath, forcing a cold sheet to form around your fluttering heart and make you seem indifferent to your own emotions, like you did at the beginning of your life on the dark side. Your fingers tightened their grip on the smooth, dark sheets.
“Your gesture startled me,” you admitted. “I know I’m of certain value to you, as a lover and as a former Padawan. Being carried like that, like you cared, incited foolish thoughts in my head.”
Steve’s eyes narrowed as a frown marred his forehead. His head tilted slightly to the side, his gaze never allowing yours to drop.
“Elaborate,” he requested, but you knew that despite the calm tone it was a command.
“It almost ignited a stupid hope to have your heart,” you spat out bitterly, “which would never happen, I’m aware, Master. I know there was only one woman who had your heart and it lies buried with your wife.”
With the woman who wasn’t strong enough to pull him off that edge of destruction, nor had the guts to fall with him and rule by his side.
Steve’s hand shot forward, fingers curled in an open grip. The yank of incredibly powerful Force pulled your body upwards, as if you were a featherlight ragdoll. He made your body flow in the air, inches above the floor.
The pressure around your neck cinched. He wasn’t touching you, yet it felt as if Steve’s gloved fingers were wrapped around the front of your neck, squeezing your throat.
It spiked fear and adrenaline, but also roused your body in ways no other lover ever could.
Your body froze in place right in front of Steve, the Force still keeping you hanging in the air.
“You are right to say my heart was buried with my wife.” Steve growled through clenched teeth. “It’s left in the past that we burned to the ground.”
A gasp escaped your lips as Steve’s hand firmly wrapped around your neck. Though he still used the Force to move your body, it was also his sheer strength behind his movement as he walked you backwards until your back met the wall.
“You’re not in my heart, Stardust, because I no longer have one,” his hot breath tickled your cheek as Steve’s face inched even closer.
“You’re not my love. You’re more. You’re  m i n e.”
What filled your heart felt similar to the overwhelming lightness you used to be connected with, once upon a time.
The Force eased back and your body sagged, but Steve’s hand was still firm on your throat. Holding you up as your toes tried to reach the floor and give you some support.
No, he wouldn’t let you down easily. He would drive in the point that he was your support. He was your sustenance. He would hold you up, as well destroy you.
“You’re my fucking everything!”
Steve bit your bottom lip, making you cry out at the sudden sting. Then the flick of his tongue soothed it before he swiped between your parted lips. The way Steve kissed you was more consuming than the darkness you dwelled in; more burning than the lightsaber’s blade.
When he pulled away, your lips were swollen and tingling, and your cunt was pulsing with need.
“You’ll repent for endangering what’s mine-” Steve’s chuckle was a brush of tempting darkness as his free hand slid up your wounded thigh- “tomorrow, when it’s fully healed.”
“Yes, Master,” you moaned as his fingers changed their course and teased your folds beneath the short, medical robe.

Obi-Wan in his natural habitat in the temple sleeps in a loft bed (it was supposed to be storage he said cat instinct and turned it into a loft bed they’re shockingly common with Jedi tbh tho) and under 17 fluffy blankets with a pregnancy pillow (he’s not pregnant he just can’t sleep off his stomach if he don’t got one and sometimes autism requires squishing to keep it all down) and three more fluffy blankets on top of him. He has an optional Padawan or pet (not really a pet, just whomever followed him how from the gardens today) in bed with him also. And he’s got a projector on the wall and has a night stand with water and gaming devices so he can survive up there forever.
The clones, who have learned to sleep with full kute coverings and usually without blankets or pillows cause they just pass out on each other, most of whom identified with their Jedi for having similar sleeping types if they weren’t human, realize they are quite horrified by his Stewjoni nesting instinct. And he’s offended and refuses to sleep with any of them till they apologize to his favorite stuffed animal for insulting his HOUSE. Fuck you bitches he and Master Sparkle Bantha deserve better.
Cody is groveling while Alpha is still trying to negotiate a less intense number of blankets and Anakin is just shaking his head like ‘it’s not worth it Bro’ and Alpha is like ‘shut up ur an omega too you brat’ and that’s the last straw, you called them omegas now Cody is asking what an omega is and Alpha is trying to figure out how to keep his AO3 account hidden from his vod’e and nvm he’ll sleep in the barracks forever-
Obi-Wan holds this info over his head like a guillotine and convinced him to get in the damn nest right this second and cuddle him better.
If you don’t sleep with at least two comforters and a queen sized fuzzy blanket then I don’t trust you. Yes I refuse to trust my sister and wife okay. Everything in the world has a downside and that’s theirs. My bed is half dragon hoard of yarn and squishmallows. I’m not changing for anyone.
Anakin’s bed is 90% pillow and squishmallow and 10% blanket. Padme uses a thin cotton blanket and lets him burrito wrap himself and uses him like a body pillow while he’s captive in the blankies.

Ten Years in Two months
While the meat and potatoes of this idea comes a bit later, it does require some finangleing beforehand. Some of the beginning does feel a bit contrived, because it is. In order for the dominoes of the plot to fall right later, we do have to force them into shape now in a series of improbable actions.
Bear with me for a bit, we’ll get there.
There is not really a particular point this starts, save that it is after Padme becomes pregnant (though well before she realizes she is) but before the Umbara arc (or ignoring the Umbara Arc), for no particular reason other than I want Waxer there.  A mission is assigned to the 212th to escort Padme Amidala and her retinue to a neutral world for negotiations with the Separatists.  They are taking with them commander Ahsoka Tano (the in-world explanation being that she was on Coruscant catching up with course work and they would rendezvous with the 501st, who were on a campaign in that region).
On the way to this neutral world, from the perspective of the rest of the galaxy, the 212th in its entirety vanishes for two months.
From the perspective of the 212th they become trapped on an uncharted planet for 10 years.
For the rest of the galaxy those two months are enlightening into Anakin Skywalker's particular brand of instability.  Without the tempering influence of the bonds to his Master and Padawan, compounded by the fact that his secret wife disappeared as well, Well…his attempts to find them could, in the best of lights, be described as unhinged. He did not fall in at this time, for he was given no reason to make that choice (and falling to the dark, into evil is very much a choice. One does not fall by accident, after all), but he made it very clear that the war, protecting innocents, the Republic, or even the lives of his own men meant nothing compared to finding Padme (occasionally he would remember to make it seem as though he was focusing on finding Obi Wan or Ahsoka, though he never quite remembered to include the rest of the 212th). His obsession presented itself in such a way that even Palpatine was reconsidering some of his plans (he still intended to break Anakin into Vader, but he was now inclined to let Padme-and maybe even Ahsoka; Obi Wan was always going to die-live on as a stabilizing influence to his ultimate apprentice).
He was swiftly removed from command of the 501st and had to be kept partially sedated for at least 6 of those 8 weeks.
With the 212th for the first few months, from their perspective, they tried to contact the rest of the fleet. Tried to contact anyone.  Tried to escape from their orbit around this one planet, thankfully habitable and with an abundance of edible food. However, though they did not know it, the planet was out of sync with the rest of the galaxy.
Over the period of about two years they shifted from living mostly on the ships with just enough people on the surface of the planet to keep everyone fed to a more permanent settlement on the planet with a rotating skeleton crew up on ships to keep everything running.
Padme found out about her pregnancy pretty early on, and with it came the knowledge that her relationship with Anakin was not the secret she thought it was.  Nor was the relationship forbidden like Anakin told her. The marriage was forbidden, because of the Oaths Anakin swore as part of the Jedi Order and how they conflicted with the traditional Nabooian Wedding vows (though she also finds out that the Jedi Order would have helped revise both sets of vows so they did not conflict).  Even beyond her own misunderstandings of the Jedi, she started to see the many places where Anakin either deliberately misunderstood his own culture, or deliberately misled her.
In fact it became obvious within the first six months that every culture represented in the ships (The variety of cultures from the natborn admiralty, the Nabooian Delegation, The clones, and the Jedi) all had some misconceptions about all of the other cultures ranging from the humorously minor to massive misunderstandings (One of the minor misunderstandings is between the Jedi and the Clones on names and numbers. The Jedi believe that they are making sure that they are calling the clones what the clones want to be called instead of their designation. The clones think that the Jedi as a whole are uncomfortable with their designation AS names-Which yes but also no-so even though most of the clones prefer a name to their designation, even the few that want to use their designation are told by the other clones that the must choose a name to use around the Jedi).
Obi Wan takes over Ahsoka’s training and the gaps that Anakin had left become very obvious; the place where he taught her something that was outright wrong even more so. About three months in, Ahsoka tells Obi Wan about Anakin’s ‘training’ of being surrounded and fired upon by the 501st.  One of the few things that Anakin was right about was that he Jedi would not understand, nor condone, that training. Ahsoka had not realized how disconnected from her own culture she had become in her short time with Anakin. How isolated he had made her from her people. Though she and Obi Wan were the only Jedi, she felt closer than ever to everything she had grown up with as he took on her tuition.
In month 8 Obi Wan, who was looked to as the leader, arranged for a series of times to address the misconceptions held by an for each culture present.  When it became clear that they were cut off for the long haul, he helped the variety of people to start to live instead of just surviving.  And at the beginning there were a number of natborns among them that were anti clones, or anti Jedi, just as there were many clones that were anti nat born.  But with only about 1500 people in total (1300 clones, about 50 natborn officers and support staff, about 150 senatorial support staff) there were simply not enough people to support those kinds of prejudices.  It is hard to say that the clones were not human when you listen to the stories of decommissioned batchmates during one of the remembrance ceremonies.  Or hate the natborn lieutenant that got drunk and cried all over you about the pregnant wife they left behind.
The twins were born with a village of aunts and uncles, and though they are the oldest, they were not the only ones. Sache, one of Padme’s former handmaidens and part of her senatorial retinue, entered into a relationship with Waxer and Boil, having a child with them that was a year younger than the twins.  Many relationships formed and broke apart during those years.
Ahsoka and Padme ended up co parenting the twins, with Padme being called Mom and Ahsoka being called Mom Ah.  It was the twins who insisted on their names from their earliest ability to speak.
In year four Cody and Obi Wan get married. Though theirs is not the only relationship that develops, nor the only one with healthy communication, their relationship does highlight to Padme how unhealthy her relationship with Anakin actually was. (It should be noted that, although Anakin’s instability and actions were flashier, this is not Anakin abusing/coercing the poor innocent Padme. In this they are toxic together, both acted in unhealthy ways that compromised their own morals).  Padme was able to see how Cody and Obi Wan did not use their love for each other as a bandage for deeper wounds. That CodyWan did not become all consuming; each man had friendships and hobbies and duties separate from each other (even with the friends they shared, they did not act as a single unit, inseparable from each other).  The other relationships she saw only drove this point home.
At some point in those ten years she tells Obi Wan of what happened on Tatooine, just before the start of the war. And Obi Wan, eyes betraying his grief and horror at the massacre of the Tuskens asked her why she absolved Anakin of his crimes (By technicality, as a senator Padme did have the authority to absolve Anakin-so even if Tatooine becomes part of the Republic, and the crime is reported, Padme’s actions mean that Anakin cannot be tried under Republic Law). Padme cannot answer him.
Though it does take time, Padem is eventually able to meet Obi Wan’s eyes again after the revelation.
6 years in, Ahsoka and Padme realize that they have fallen in love.  Driven by the Jedi teachings for healthy and open communication (though many cultures value open and honest communication, few need it in the same way as the Jedi who are all some degree of Empath), they talk about what was happening. Neither is sexually attracted to the other, but they do want to date each other.  But Padme is married to Anakin. And it might have been six years, so they do not know if Anakin even still lived, and if did, he had likely moved on (both of which are reasonable assumptions) but being together without first speaking to Anakin felt too much like giving up the idea that they would find a way home. So they agreed to wait until they were ready to give up that idea.
They had not given up by the time that the 10 year mark rolled around.
In year 7 the chips begin to deteriorate. The material they were made up of were not meant for the extra years of use, plus the method Helix used to stop the accelerated aging (discovered within 5 months of actually having time) created an enzyme as a byproduct that had no effect on the clones, but accelerated the deterioration of the chips.  The first three chips were removed after the clones involved complained of migraines. All the documentation in the computer banks (the archive of what was readily available, instead of what was stored on the galaxy’s version of the cloud) of the ships said the chips were to inhibit excess aggression. No one had any reason to not believe the documentation, not even with the realization that the chips were not in the right place for what they were supposed to do (the assumption is that the Kaminoans, for all their genetic know how, just do not understand near human neurology enough to have put it in the right place).  Obi Wan met with Helix, the head medic, with Cody after the removal of those first chips.  Obi Wan assumed that he did not know about the chips because he had not been on the council when the order was put in. Helix is able to confirm that all of the clones have these chips and what they are supposed to do (according to the literature) and that some were beginning to deteriorate.  After it becomes clear that the removal will not hurt the clone, they make the decision to remove all of them. However, believing them to be behavioral modifiers (if incorrectly placed), and as they did not have the optimal equipment to decode them, they all left it at that and put the Chips into storage and basically forgot about it.
Just 15 days shy of the 10th anniversary of their arrival to the uncharted planet, whatever grip that was holding the ships bound to orbit the planet vanished (The planet was in sync with the rest of the galaxy- it is a window of time that is six hours long in the larger galaxy, or 15 days long on the planet) Still not able to raise communications to anyone outside of the planet’s orbit, not knowing how long they would have before they were stuck again, and fearing that they would be cut off from anyone left behind (no one had forgotten that the planet had not registered as there until they were trapped), everyone was loaded onto the ships along with all of their food stores and the 212th left the uncharted planet.
As soon as they hit the galaxy at large again, alarms began to shriek. Every system that communicated with the central systems (basically everything outside of life support) experienced a fatal error upon reconnecting with the galaxy’s central system. It takes 4 days to fix. They have to reset all of the internal clocks/calendars in their computer systems to a date and time two months and 3.5 days after they became trapped (the last 24 hours of that time was spent inputting random dates into the system).
NOTE: There is a very important reason for this. Computers are very black and white about some things, and communicating between computers is often validated on specific information to make sure that both systems are dealing with the same information at the same thing. Current Date/Time had to be validated for the purpose of navigation. Galactic/Stellar drift is very real, and in the mapped regions of the galaxy that drift is precisely calculated.  It is impossible to keep a real time map of every object in the galaxy, instead there is a systematic ping that goes out at specified times (Twice per Galactic Standard year) remapping every object in the known galaxy and correcting the location in the centralized system.  Then Navigation computers calculate how long it has been since the last ping to figure out where everything is and a safe route.  That only works if the current date time matches the current date time of the centralized system exactly (some of those object movements, even objects large enough to damage the largest of ships, can be measured in microseconds).
No one realizes why this is an issue. The entirety of the 212th believe that 10 years have passed (born out by their time keepers, which had ticked along for ten years) and yet to the larger galaxy only two months have. They absently notice that by the time anything is working again the planet they were on had vanished.
A message is sent to Coruscant, to the Jedi temple, but it is a hesitant thing. Deliberately vague in details. Obi Wan has no idea what 10 years has done for or to the war effort.  The response is almost immediate,  a call from the Jedi council. The very first question out of Mace Windu’s mouth is a cranky sounding ‘Where in the Force have you been for the last two months?’ (Look Master Windu is absolutely ecstatic that they are safe and not dead, but he has spent the four days helping to keep Anakin contained-the sedation began to wear off faster now that he could feel Ahoska and Obi Wan in the Force again-, the last two months realizing that Obi Wan ran about a third of their side of the war, and had been in the middle of sleeping for the first time in weeks).
There is quite a bit of confusion as both Obi Wan and Mace were absolutely sure the other had lost it over how long the 212th had been gone (Obi Wan: we were trapped for ten years; Mace: Bullshit! You’ve been gone for 2 months).  It is Ahsoka’s appearance that convinces Mace that something more is going on (he would not know the children, and Ahsoka is the only other one for whom 10 years-or 10 years and 5 months for the clones- would make a huge visible difference). Mace is able to convince Obi Wan that they really have only been gone two months and the 212th makes its way back to Coruscant, reeling over the disconnect (The Lieutenant who spent the last 10 years mourning over the missed moments with their wife and unborn child…hasn’t even missed the birth).
The mind healers who have been dealing with Anakin nearly weep in relief at the news that Padme Amidala is with the 212th and safe. They know that Anakin needs many much therapy still but they have hope he will actually pay attention now that his wife is back.
The 212th, now a community in a way that they had not been, returned to Coruscant.  They do not split in the ways that they would have before (before relationships and children) and peer at the lives they had left behind that they no longer quite fit the shape of.
The lieutenant brings home their best friend (a clone who had not picked their name before the mission, but decided to go with 29, which they picked to reference the number of a decommissioned batchmate)  to meet their wife, only for some of the wife’s family make an awful comment about flesh droids and being a pet (thankfully their wife was equally embarrassed by her brother’s behavior).
Obi Wan, Cody, Padme, and Ahsoka go to the Jedi temple, to the Jedi Council (the twins, like the rest of the children, were left aboard the Negotiator in the care of their extended family). They speak of the planet where they had been trapped and the lives they grew there.
Padme took the time to apologize to the Council, formally, for the violation of their beliefs that she and Anakin had perpetrated by marrying as they had.  She could admit that while Anakin had not told her of any Jedi traditions for marriage, or really any traditions they might be violating by marrying, she had made no effort to check either.
As an afterthought Obi Wan told the Jedi Council about the chips deteriorating, but that they did not appear to be doing anything anyway (To which every other member went: “What chips?”). Upon being asked Obi Wan calls for Helix to get a chip or two out of the storage closet they had been forgotten in. Which was then promptly handed to people with specialized equipment for decoding bio mechanical chips.
After the latest round of sedation has worn off Padme, Obi Wan, and Ahsoka go to see Anakin. They are told that before Anakin can be released he needs to be assessed by three different mind healers. They go intending to tell Anakin of the twins. Padme also goes with the intent to test the waters about the possibility of separating (She does not know that her and Ahsoka dating would go anywhere, nor are either of them even thinking of it right now, but even leaving that aside Padme has realized that her and Anakin are not healthy together). Things do not go quite as intended.
At first Anakin is so happy to see all three of them, he exclaims over Ahsoka being so grown up (she is now 24, now older than Anakin). It rapidly becomes clear that Anakin expected he would be released immediately, now that they were back.  There was a small blip, a frown and a strange heaviness when he realized that all three of them were backing the healers that he needed to be assessed.  Anakin also did not like how close Ahsoka and Obi Wan were, oh before they vanished he would joke about Ahsoka being their shared padawan, but he preferred it when Obi Wan’s lessons unintentionally reinforced the idea that Ahsoka was better off with Anakin than any other Jedi.
There were a few moments when he could speak to Padme alone, and the way he spoke left  Padme feeling cold. There was nothing overt but it all reinforced a possessiveness that Padme realized she did not want in her or her children's lives. They leave without telling Anakin about the children.
Padme tries six more times to go and talk to Anakin about separating. At best he acts like he does not hear or understand her words.  At worst he starts ranting about Obi Wan trying to steal his wife and needing to be sedated.
Regretfully, and with the backing of both the Jedi and the 212th community, Padme starts the process to get a divorce. Nabooian traditions insist that a couple that wants to divorce must meet with a Nabooian marriage counselor first, to see if reconciliation is possible.  Setting this up takes several months as, upon being informed of proceedings Anakin had a second breakdown. His connection to the Force was such that the Jedi needed to block the connection lest he become very destructive. Only the Force Blockers left him not coherent enough to attend the session with Counselor. In the end the Jdi built a special room just to block Anakin’s specific connection to the force for them to meet in.  Traditionally the divorcing couple meets at least 5 times before permission is given to divorce.  It took one meeting for the Counselor to grant Padme her divorce.
The 501st had not been assigned a new general by the time the 212th returned, and Ahsoka was almost ready for knighthood.  She took command of the 501st for a total of 4 months, it was too uncomfortable and too much like she was replacing Anakin (made weirder by the fact she still wanted to date his soon to be ex wife  and was helping to raise his children).  In the end Obi Wan ended up taking direct command of the legion, with Cody taking the lead of the 212th.  This also made everyone uncomfortable, thankfully the war ended three months after that (the revelation of what the chips did had the council contemplating finding the planet that 212th had been stranded on).
Palpatine had been indiscrete around someone who he had assumed would back his power play for an Empire. To be fair, in another world that family would have been high ranking imperial with very human centric tendencies.
Palpatine had not expected a Lieutenant of the Galactic Navy, member of the 212h or not, to whip out a slug thrower and shoot at a party when Palpatine had admitted to knowing about the slave chip in the clones' heads.
To be fair, neither did the Lieutenant.

I refuse to believe Anakin was EVER that good with kids and so in an AU where Rex finds out Anakin is Vader before Kanan dies, I'd love for Kanan and Rex to have a long-running bit where they just tell stories about their worst memories of Anakin.
Kanan: One time he was assigned to help my initiate class with saber work and he told me I'd probably never get chosen by a Master due to how much I was struggling with the form.
Rex: One time he threw me off a wall that was actually a 1000 foot tall fortress without warning me.
Kanan: He regularly pulled pranks on the initiates that made us late for class and then when we tried to call him out on it, he'd never own up to it, so we'd just get in trouble.
Rex: He regularly asked me to stand in for him during meetings with the Chancellor or the Jedi Council so he could go off and fuck his secret wife instead of doing his actual job and I was required to lie to authorities on his behalf about why he wasn't there.
Kanan: One time he was supposed to be taking a group of initiates to Ilum to get our lightsaber crystals and I was the last one out but he forgot about me and started leaving with everybody else, literally got them all on the ship and started lifting off, before I came back out of the cave. He only stopped because the other kids realized I wasn't out yet and made him land again.
Rex: One time he ordered me and some of our men to take part in a test for Ahsoka where we were supposed to surround her in a circle and shoot stun bolts at her until one of them hit her and she dropped unconscious for an hour and we weren't allowed to help her or check her over or make sure she was medically okay and we had to do this over and over.

round two is here! enjoy and make sure to kudos and comment for all the lovely creators of these works!
day one twitter thread: here
01. Curious Cultures by anonymous
“I know I am not your. . . ideal partner for this mission, but surely you’ve experienced enough that it should not be too off putting, right?” Anakin’s silence made space seem loud. “You will answer me, Anakin Skywalker, or I will have you sent back Coruscant.” “I haven’t,” or Anakin and Obi-Wan have to get married for a mission and Anakin left out a crucial fact
02. The Will of the Desert by anonymous
Anakin know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Obi-Wan is meant to be his. He just really need the Universe to gets its act together and make it happen.
03. take me out (to the ballgame) by anonymous
Obi-Wan goes to the baseball game against his wishes. He meets a handsome stranger and kisses him. (Not against his wishes)
04. thine cup spillth over by anonymous
Anakin is the son of the Force. The Chosen One. He was born to feed the Force's warriors.
05. Baby Duck Syndrome by anonymous
It is an unexpected shock when it happens because by the time Anakin is born almost all imprints are made, not natural. But Anakin’s master is a Toydarian, and there has never been a successful imprint made between a human and one of them. So as long as Anakin is useful, he does not need to know about imprinting, because it is not something that Watto can do to him, or to his mom. Then the Jedi comes, and Anakin touches his apprentice’s hand.
06. make every last moment last by anonymous
Anakin dreads the inevitable end of the war. Padmé is his wife, but Obi-Wan is his mate. He shouldn't have either . He can't keep them both forever. The future will be here before he knows it, and Anakin needs to get himself together so he can be a good husband again. So he can learn to be a good father. But he won’t be either of those things tonight. Tonight, there’s only one thing he can be.
07. just grab me and take me by anonymous
His hard cock swung between his legs as he rocked on his fingers, nearly sobbing from how it was almost right. He wanted more – he always wanted more – and this was on the edge of not enough. A hand wrapped around his hip and Anakin startled. “Look at you,” purred Obi-Wan, his other hand grazing down the length of Anakin’s bare arched back, “you couldn’t wait, baby girl?”
08. love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind by anonymous
The lack of Anakin at Obi-Wan's side was telling. Something was wrong. Obi-Wan tried to put the worry out of his head, replaying the previous night over and over. He’d spanked Anakin, but he’d done that plenty of times by now. He had also been rather strict with Anakin, but Anakin liked that. Anakin had told Obi-Wan that much a thousand times by now. Obi-Wan sighed, pushing away the datapad and pinching the bridge of his nose as he often did when he was annoyed at a situation. This time, however, he was annoyed at himself.
09. a vision of your blue eyes, so lovely by anonymous
“Let me take care of you,” Obi-Wan soothed. “No, I can’t,” Anakin’s hands ran down his forearms, up his biceps and to his chest where he grabbed desperately onto his shirt. “Why not?” Obi-Wan’s fingers threaded through Anakin’s hair, petting and carding through the short strands. Anakin felt more self conscious than he’d ever felt in his life. What if you hurt me? Was what Anakin wanted to ask. Instead, a sob racked his body and Obi-Wan’s arms went around him easily, like they always were supposed to. Or, what happens after the movie Awake if Anakin met Obi-Wan after his heart transplant.
10. Alpha|Alpha by anonymous
Obi-Wan looked at his former apprentice and smiled to himself. Anakin was the image of the perfect Alpha from the outside – he was tall, masculine, easily aggravated and hot-headed, assertive. Everything the society expected. Omegas always threw themselves at him, and Obi-Wan took unhealthy pleasure in watching them fail to seduce him.
11. Please, Devour Me? by anonymous
GFFA AU Obi-Wan and Anakin enjoy a moment alone together in Hyperspace, and Obi-Wan makes a selfish demand. -- “Like a rancor.” “A rancor?” Obi-Wan tugged at the lace with his teeth. “How insulting.” Anakin laughed but there was a tremor to his voice, the realisation that calling his beloved a rancor was probably a little more insulting than how he'd meant it. His legs fell apart even more, the skirts dipping between his thighs and Obi-Wan gripped the lace of one of the stockings in his teeth and tugged, pulling it down and over Anakin’s knee. --
12. Dream a Little Dream (Of You & Me) by anonymous
In response to a prompt by Anonymous in the SubAnakin_ObikinFest collection. Prompt:   Obi-Wan is an incubus and is frequently pulled into the dreams people have about him. It's never bothered him—it is how he feeds that part of himself and he always makes sure everyone has a good time—but it's become a bit bothersome ever since Anakin started his journey of sexual discovery and his Master is a frequent flyer in those fantasies. And it becomes difficult to walk away the more Anakin grows into a man and also into Obi-Wan's own personal wet dream. Anakin, his strong-willed and bratty Padawan, proves to be quite submissive and sweet in the land of his dreams. DNW: hard kinks
13. books and their covers by anonymous
Obi-Wan knows very well what he is. People look at his master and see a big strong alpha, and then they look at him, they see... well, the exact opposite. As a beta, he may not stand out much in the shadow of his powerful alpha master, but Obi-Wan is the only one who can make Anakin come.
14. i'd follow you down, down, down by anonymous
He watched as the Separatist ships jumped to hyperspace in a flash of blue. His own men’s ships around him began going back to the Negotiator but Anakin didn’t move. Not yet. He stared into space; the blackness of it, the stars that sparkled. There was nothing around him, and if he didn’t turn his ship around, he couldn’t see the Star Destroyer waiting for him. It was all empty, just like him. Just like their room had been when he woke up.
15. all tied up in knots by anonymous
The only thing that eases the sting of Anakin Skywalker's one-sided love affair with his roommate, Obi-Wan Kenobi, is the fact that they're also friends with benefits which means he gets some part of Obi-Wan at least a few times a week. He's made his peace with it, and his favorite part of the day is easily when his no-strings-attached fuck buddy pushes him down onto the mattress for a round of gentle, vanilla sex beneath the covers. Any part of Obi-Wan he can get, he'll take and not ask for more. That is, until he comes home early from work one night to hear Obi-Wan domming a woman in their living room, and Anakin's confronted with the knowledge that Obi-Wan is giving out parts of himself to people he's certainly never given Anakin. And that's just untenable. Follow Anakin as he tries to convince Obi-Wan to dom him, learns what BDSM even is, does paperwork, comes, gets rope burn, and maybe even gets the love of his life. Yes, in that order.
16. Taste of the Divine by anonymous
The day had seemed never-ending, filled with meeting after meeting and the infinite responsibilities of a wartime High General. Even Obi-Wan’s evening promised the sweet embrace of unrelenting work. Although, duty was the last thing on Obi-Wan’s mind when he laid eyes on what waited for him in his quarters. Or rather, who.
17. the way you bend, the way you break by anonymous
Anakin has a deeply rooted, shameful fantasy of having power taken away from him, by force. Obi-Wan, the ever sedulous and equally incorrigible partner, shares this fantasy and indulges his lover.
18. All Good Things (Come to Those Who Wait) by anonymous
“We’ve finally trained your hole to take all of me. Let’s do the same with your mouth next, shall we?" Anakin learns to trust that his Master knows what he's doing.

Miss Kit as mistress of bikin aus how funny would it be if canon ahsoka tried to change events and ended up in a time period where obikin are adults and she's behind their first meeting only to discover they just immediately are Like That and want to bang. All your aus where they meet as adults and are Like That inspired me but I couldn't help thinking what poor canon ahsoka would make of her master and grandmaster being such openly horny messes around each other
ok lol BUT what if it’s like. Time traveler Ahsoka who like…..has an instant reset button a la Michael in the Good Place, and has gotten it in her head that the galaxy is really better off if Anakin and Obi-Wan never meet because even in the canon timeline and with a wife, anakin was weird about obi-wan & even with a whole Jedi order that he adored, obi-wan was weird about anakin
so it’s really for the best if they never ever even meet and Ahsoka is going to make that happen!! In her first attempt, she decides to save qui-gon so that he raises anakin as his padawan instead but that just makes obi-wan and anakin even WEIRDER about each other for some reason??? Anakin grows up wanting obi-wan’s approval more than anything else in the entire galaxy and obi-wan takes 2 different padawans just so he never has to go on missions with his old master and anakin, and the galaxy STILL falls apart
Reset button, ok. So. Ahsoka buys baby anakin and Shmi from slavery and frees them. Years later, she’s aghast as she watches smuggler Anakin cozy up to promiscuous slut Jedi Master Obi-Wan even though his padawan, a baby Ahsoka, is RIGHT THERE. After one night together in some backwater cantina, they become weird about each other AGAIN. Sidious finds Anakin because Obi-Wan “””reforms””” him and gets him a job in the Senate (so they can more easily carry on their stupid affair) and Sidious convinces Anakin that Obi-Wan could never really love him because he loves the Jedi Order too much….Anakin Falls, galaxy destroyed—RESET BUTTON
Ok. Ahsoka manipulates it so that Obi-Wan is sent to the Agricorps and not kidnapped and enslaved so he just becomes a farmer instead. Good. Safe. He’s happy or he will be — ok. Oh shit anakin gets sent to the AgriCorps because he’s too angry and untrainable and now he’s meeting Obi-Wan who recognizes himself in this angry teenager and takes him under his wing and shit, now they’re being weird about each other — RESET BUTTON
ok!!!! Ahsoka convinces obi-wan’s parents to not give him to the Jedi Order. Instead, he’s raised as…huh. Prince of Stewjon? Ahsoka didn’t know that but that explains so much about obi-wan’s innate bitchiness and haughty eyebrow movements. Fine, that’s ok. Anakin doesn’t like royalty—no never mind, anakin LOVES royalty how could she forget that anakin married a former queen??? It takes one Jedi mission for padawan anakin to be head over heels for prince obi-wan and then suddenly he’s taking every possible mission to Stewjon he can to convince obi-wan to sleep with him oh NO obi-wan keeps rejecting him but Ahsoka recognizes that fond twinkle in his eyes as being the same way he looked at anakin in the original timeline they’re being WEIRD ABOUT EACH OTHER AGAIN. RESET BUTTON.
ok. Ahsoka KIDNAPS baby anakin to raise by herself in the corner of the galaxy where obi-wan and fate will never find them. baby anakin’s first word is inexplicably “obi”. Ahsoka knows how this is going to go. RESET BUTTON.

Lack of Conviction
Tumblr media
Episode five of Ahsoka really hammered home how goddamn ridiculous the entire Clone War situation truly was. Watching Ahsoka on the front lines of that Geonosis battle, a fight where she was canonically fourteen or fifteen, was ludicrous back in the original show, but seeing the character in that situation portrayed by the age appropriate Ariana Greenblatt was f*cking jarring. Greenblatt is sixteen years old, splitting the difference of Aksoka’s age range throughout the Clone Wars. She’s as close to a real, teenage, Tano, that we’re going to get and it is wildly apparent that she is a CHILD. The goddamn Jedi Order, was sending child soldiers to fight in a trade war against an analogous Sith overlord and his army of drones. I don’t care how good at space wizarding your teenager is, they are still just a goddamn teenager! And Ahsoka wasn’t the only one. Barris Offee immediately comes to mind! The age you become a Padawan Learner to a Master Jedi is around twelve. That means there were children as young as twelve taking laser shots to the face, not to mention the wholesale slaughter of these cats during Order Sixty-Six, because of a goddamn trade dispute. How f*cking ridiculous is that? Anakin even said the quiet part out loud when addressing Ahsoka’s hesitation. He told her that Obi-Wan trained him to be a peacekeeper, but Anakin was training Ahsoka to be a soldier. That sh*t was the intent. That was the plan. That was the whole dynamic; Train an army of child astro-sorcerers in the ways of war, by throwing them headlong into one. From anyone’s point of view, that’s f*cked up and lends credence to everything Poppa Paps was talking about. Imagine trying to convince the ludicrously powerful Chosen One you’re in the right, when the only other person outside of his mom and wife whom he genuinely loved, was put in his charge to turn her into a weapon. And then when she turned out to be a fantastic one, they cast her aside the second someone gets murdered in those hallowed Council halls. Cats give Anakin sh*t for slaying them Younglings but how are the Jedi any goddamn different? They literally use children until they are used up. I can only imagine the trauma the kids who survived will have to endure. Hell, we’ve seen a few of them already. Ahsoka, Cade from those absolutely dope games, Hera's dead baby daddy, and that one chick from Kenobi; None of who are healthy, well adjusted, stand-up adults! Absolutely emotional train wrecks, the lot of them!
Tumblr media
More than that, this episode proved to me just how much of Anakin is in Ahsoka. They mirror each other as much as Ahsoka and Sabine. It's wild to see in live action, especially getting that from Hayden who finally got to play a complex version of Anakin. Clone Wars went a long way to redeeming that character but seeing him actually force a catharsis in Ahsoka was rough. I've seen them cross lightsabers before and it broke my f*cking heart. I've spoken at length about that, but seeing it here? Knowing this is training from a fully fledged Jedi Master Anakin? I cannot articulate how amazing that is. He pushed Ahsoka to her limits. Forced her to confront the grief and guilt she had for being a weapon, for abandoning Anakin. Hayden gave this role so much depth, so much emotion, it was just breathtaking to witness. Seeing him flit between Vader and Sky Guy was almost too much but it very necessary. It was necessary for Ahsoka. She had to see that, to come to terms with that, in order to move forward. She is everything Anakin is, even Vader, as demonstrated by those Sith eyes when she contemplated the unthinkable. Interestingly enough, even channeling the Dark Side like a champ, you can tell Anakin was concerned for his Padawan. Not that he would be killed, Anakin is beyond even that at this point, but that his Padawan, would fall like he did. Ahsoka did not. She chose life and Sky Guy gave her that smirk, telling Snips there was hope for her yet. F*cking everything. That last exchange was f*cking everything. Especially when you take into account that Anakin pulled her into the World Between Worlds to save her life. As a goddamn Force Ghost. What the f*ck does THAT even mean??

I have the house to myself this weekend which means I get to have musicals on in the background (I am the only one in my family who appreciates this art form) and this morning I've had The Sound of Music running and...I'm having thoughts. Fascism thoughts.
Anakin is nearing the age (early 20s) when he should be taking the Trials and he *says* he's sure he wants to continue on the Jedi path (his mom sure always really wanted him to! He doesn't want to disappoint his Master!) but he's always been a little unorthodox, a little different, and Yoda and Mace and the Council and even Qui-Gon try to (gently) tell him that it's okay if he wants to or needs to take a different path and this life isn't for everyone and there's no shame in it; there's lots of ways to serve the light.
Obi-Wan meanwhile (Force sensitive but his parents said no thank you when the Order came calling when he was a kid?) is fairly recently widowed with seven (or maybe not seven, but some number of) children who he doesn't see all that much because he's...not *the* leader of Stewjon but definitely a higher-up in their government (maybe like a House of Lords/ruling council sort of situation?). And he - like the Republic - sees the writing on the wall about the encroaching threat of the Empire and the members of the Republic who are against this idea (Padmé, Bail, etc) are very interested in keeping Obi-Wan on their side - he's maybe trying to convince the rest of his government to join the Republic? and if they do have to go to war Obi-Wan is one of the few with actual military experience (I'm picturing some sort of Admiral Yularen/Republic Navy-ish) - so when Obi-Wan asks the Order to send a Jedi as a governess for his kids (some - or all? - of them are Force sensitive too, but Obi-Wan and his wife kept them home as kids rather than sending them to Coruscant), even though the answer would *usually* be no (you can't have it both ways Obi-Wan; there are no part-time Jedi) the Republic basically begs the Jedi Council to say yes.
They (reluctantly) agree that sending Anakin to Stewjon might be okay - they wouldn't send anyone else but he's on the fence anyway and this might give him some time to decide if he really wants to be a Jedi or if a home and a family might suit him better. Anakin has to be talked into it - "you're kicking me out??" "NO, Padawan Skywalker..." - but he goes. Of course he actually bonds really well with all the kids (I love Anakin with kids!) and his new boss is surprisingly hot, especially in his Stewjoni military uniform.
Obi-Wan got (quite quickly, after his wife died) engaged to the Duchess Satine of Mandalore, which both parties (and everyone in their respective governments) know is a political marriage but they do also genuinely like and respect each other, and enjoy debating politics with each other - if war breaks out, Satine is determined Mandalore will remain neutral, and Obi-Wan argues against, and that it's their moral obligation to fight - but whatever happens, Mandalore wants Stewjon on their side and vice versa. She's busy running her own system but comes for a visit, and meets Anakin, and picks up right away on the rampant UST between Obi-Wan and his new nanny. (She finds this hilarious.)
Obi-Wan throws a Mandalore/Stewjon unification-type ball at his house (mansion, palace, w/e) and Anakin has the kids show off the more impressive of the Force "tricks" he's taught them (floating rocks, etc). The kids tell Anakin that their dad can move things with the Force, too, and he used to all the time, but doesn't anymore. Anakin is intrigued by this new knowledge.
They get word from Coruscant that Palpatine did as threatened and has staged a coup (?? haven't really worked out the finer details yet) and despite Obi-Wan's best efforts Stewjon as a collective whole looks like it's going to fall on the side of the Empire. He's not the only one determined to fight but he's definitely the most vocal/highest-ranking of the dissenters and Satine warns him that he at least needs to get his family out of harm's way, and if he can get them to Mandalore she can protect them and they can join the Rebellion from there. (Form the Rebellion? This part is still a little muddy).
(Obi-Wan checks that this offer still stands even though he's breaking up with her. She's like a) I called that and b) "oh my god Obi-Wan I'm a pacifist not a monster. I'm not going to let your family *die* just because you're marrying Anakin instead of me, what do you take me for?")
Their escape plan - like in the movie - is to perform in some sort of National Stewjon Talent Show, except swap the Force for a cappella singing. The Jedi - let's say Palpatine hasn't gotten around to Order 66 in this AU - attend this Talent Show, and *obviously* it's a cover for getting Anakin and the Kenobis out (they have to have the same conversation - "you mean you'll still help me even if I'm getting married instead of becoming a Jedi Knight?" "yeah, we're not dicks, it's the right thing to do") but no one can actually call the Jedi out on it even though while they're blinking their eyes all innocently they totally have bolt cutters and stun guns hidden under their robes.
Also there's a subplot where Obi-Wan's oldest breaks up with her boyfriend because "I DON'T DATE STORMTROOPERS."
(Someday I will be able to watch a movie without having Obikin thoughts about it. But it is not this day!)

Ahsoka Variety Interview Thoughts
Hello, Sabezra nation!
So, it will probably start spilling out soon but, yes, some of the cast members from Ahsoka - Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Hayden Christensen and some guy named Dave Filoni - did an interview with Variety recently to talk about the show.
Now, I know what you're thinking: was there anything regarding Sabine and Ezra's relationship?
And the answer is a resounding NOPE.
But, it's still a very interesting article and there were a few tidbits that stood out to me that I feel is Sabezra related. So, I'll talk about that here.
First up: an interesting quote from Sabine Wren herself, Natasha.
Tumblr media
I've written about this before in a previous post but it's very nice to have it be validated here by Natasha: that Sabine is, indeed, meant to come off as Anakin-coded in this first season of Ahsoka.
Others in this fandom have also noted this and this certainly lends credence to Sabine's feelings for Ezra being more than platonic. Sabine's decision to doom their galaxy in exchange for her friend's safety has enormous ramifications for the Star Wars universe going forward - and only one other character has had such an impact on the franchise: Anakin Skywalker.
Anakin made his choice out of desperation to save his wife, Padme. Star Wars loves its mythological cycles. Lucas passed on that love to Filoni so, in theory, Sabine should be following in the foot-steps of the disaster lineage of Jedi she is now a part of.
But, as I've noted before, one of Ahsoka's themes is trying to break cycles. Baylon wants to break the cycle of endless wars, Ahsoka wants to break the cycle of darkness plaguing her Jedi lineage, and Sabine wants to break the cycle of loss that's all too prevalent in her life.
What does that mean? It means that Filoni has the opportunity to do something that Anakin couldn't with Sabine: show a proper redemptive arc. Find a way to move forward with Ezra and everyone else she betrayed. Find a way to be forgiven and properly atone for her mistakes - preferably without dying or someone else dying on her behalf.
Of course, this is just interpretation on my behalf. The skeptic in me points out that Natasha is only referring to Sabine's recklessness and inner struggles as being what Ahsoka sees as similar to her former master. There's no mention of Ezra.
But we know that one of Anakin's "inner struggles" was his increasing attachment and feelings for Padme. So, is a stretch to say that these inner struggles that Sabine is wrestling with include her yet undisclosed feelings for her friend Ezra? No, not really.
With what Filoni set up from this first season, it's an inevitability that - at some point - Sabine is going to be questioned about why she made that decision. I personally see it as integral to her journey as a Jedi. Which means that Sabine needs to search her feelings and come to understand them.
It's significant that Natasha points out the echoes of Anakin in Sabine's personality and actions. It says quite a lot.
And to back up the whole "reverse Anidala" theory I have, here's what Filoni says in this next quote:
Tumblr media
So this quote is Filoni referencing Ahsoka's struggles with Anakin's legacy as Vader during Rebels and then later in Ahsoka.
"How does that affect somebody when a person that they really admire and looked up to turned out not to be the person they thought they were? Are we all just capable of a fall from grace? And what is forgiveness? What shape does that look like?"
But, keeping this in mind, you could also apply this to Sabine's situation with Ezra, along with everyone else she cares about that was put directly in harm's way with her decision (Hera, Jacen, Zeb, Chopper).
Ahsoka, having come to terms with her own long struggle of forgiving and accepting Anakin for who he was, now has something else to offer Sabine other than showing her how to fight: how to forgive.
Sabine is, presumably (hopefully if Filoni isn't just going to sweep her actions under the rug), going to be struggling with the ramifications of her betrayal at some point in the future. And, not to mention, everyone else also finding out and will most likely be upset, to say the least.
Ahsoka, armed with her own knowledge of how to navigate that thorny path, can be a mediator in that regard. She'll stand with Sabine, as she promised - not condoning her actions, but providing understanding and her own special viewpoint on how to forgive and move on from such an incredibly selfish and destructive action (thanks to Anakin) - and help everyone else find a way to do so, as well.
I figure Ezra and Hera will probably be the focal point of conflict for Sabine. Hera, for obvious reasons, will be upset since Sabine helped kick-start another potential war with the Empire - something she does not want her child to experience growing up in like she and countless others did.
And there's also the matter of how it directly undermines what Kanan and Ezra sacrificed so much for.
As for Ezra . . . I don't know. It's complicated. No idea how Filoni is planning to tackle that. But it's going to hurt him.
It's going to hurt him so much.
But with Ahsoka's presence, it stands to reason that Sabine and Ezra can find a way to reconcile and build something new and stronger from the ruins of their prior relationship.
Other interesting items/observations from the interview:
Filoni already has an outline for Ahsoka season 2. (Nothing confirmed about a renewal, but he's got one ready.)
Hayden Christensen makes an interesting observation about Anakin's return being that he now has the power to wield both the Light Side and Dark Side of the Force, which also gives him the power to save Ahsoka . . . the same power he was trying to obtain when he pledged himself to the Dark Side during Revenge of the Sith.
There are no current plans on Baylon's recasting as of yet. Filoni is still figuring that out. (RIP, Ray Stevenson).
Natasha sees Ahsoka season 1 as setting up "enduring drama" between Ahsoka and Sabine. They still obviously have a lot to work out to mend their relationship - like what happened to Sabine's family and how that was somehow Ahsoka's fault, also Ahsoka stopping her training shortly afterwards.
There is only one direct mention of Thrawn and Ezra: Filoni's decision to send them to another galaxy was because keeping them in the home one was too easy ("too many people travelling, flying around; you can send a signal and get found"). He knew about other galaxies from a scene in Attack of the Clones.
A word of caution: we'll probably be getting more interviews like this within the coming weeks so there will be, presumably, lots of new info coming in.
Hopefully we'll be getting interviews from Eman and Ivanna, as well, since I'm interested to hear more about their characters (Ezra, for obvious reasons, but Shin we definitely need to know more about) and what they might be up to in a future season.
But . . . some of these interviews might contain, shall we say, indications of where certain relationships might go or where whomever is being interviewed think they might go.
So saying this now: unless it comes from the hat man himself, don't get too caught up in whatever is said. It's all fun and speculation.
Sorry for the long ramble. Hope this all makes sense.
See you all down the road.

My entry for the sith obikin event!! The prompt was Same age raised as a sith AU!! tho in here they weren't so much 'raised' as sith, but fell on their own?
had many Thoughts with my wife for this prompt, so here's a summary!! I hope I can expand more on this in the future hhhHHH
Same age raised as a sith AU!!!
Quigon bringing his new 13yo padawan Obi-wan to the trade negotiations and etc. They are still basically strangers at this point and they don't mesh well. When Qui-gon finds Anakin, he has every intention to replace Obi-wan with him. But then Darth Maul happens and delivers a fatal blow. Obi-wan manages to kill him still, but Qui-gon's last words to Obi-wan are not to promise to train the boy, but instead he tells him that he knows he used the dark side to kill Maul, and that he'll never be a Jedi.
Obi-wan is devastated, but wanting to still honor his master, he brings Anakin to Coruscant, he may not have Qui-gon as his master, but he is The Chosen one, so surely someone will train him.
He was wrong.
The council sends both of them away to the Agri corps, but their transport gets attacked (by pirates or smth), they survive, but theyre stranded somewhere unfamiliar with only the clothes on their back.
Obi-wan begrudges Anakin for being the one Qui-gon wanted, but he puts his feelings away for now and looks after him, feeling responsible for his fate in a way. He promises he will try to get him back to Tattooine and his mother.
Anakin already feels somewhat betrayed and hurt by the Jedi, being tossed away despite what Qui-gon said. He feels that the only good Jedi is Obi-wan, who protects him and promises to take him home. (Even tho sometimes he is cold to him)
It takes many years of them just trying to survive and save enough money for a transport to take them to the outer rim to tattooine,  Obi-wan teaching Anakin basic saber training that he barely understands himself. He tries to teach him how to use the force, tho it is more difficult for him. He becomes naturally jealous when it comes so easily to Anakin. Anakin thinking he's done something wrong, or is a bad student when Obi-wan suddenly becomes mad at him.
Eventually they make it back to Tattooine,  but by the time they get there, its already too late to save Shmi. They bury her together. Obi-wan, feeling like he has nothing to do with Anakin after bringing him back home, disappears in the night.
He starts making his way towards a bar maybe, vaguely thinking of what to do with his life now, when he's accosted by some criminals. He's about to take them out himself when they're suddenly  brutally cut down by a familiar lightsaber. Anakin with bright yellow, crazed eyes looks at Obi-wan and tells him that he's the only one Anakin has left, and he won't let anyone hurt him.
-----
THIS KIND OF GOT AWAY FROM ME BUT TO TIE UP WITH MY DRAWINGS, its basically Obi-wan trying to be a 'good Jedi', for Anakin, who's fallen into hero worshipping him, and will do anything to protect his view of his 'purity'. He becomes a Sith to protect Obi-wan.
Obi-wan feels extremely guilty about this despite his complicated feelings towards Anakin, Anakin is also the only one who believes in and loves him. So he tries to be a good jedi for him, even tho it haunts him that Qui-go said he would never be one.
In the end, Obi-wan Falls, trying to protect Anakin. Anakin is devastated, he feels like his life is a Lie, or maybe he failed in protecting Obi-wan, and that he wouldn't have Fallen if only he'd been Better.
Good End is where they finally have a Talk about expectations, what the Jedi and Sith mean to them, etc etc and they smooch and save the galaxy one way or the other, the end :)
Bad End is where Anakin takes out Obi-wan's yellow eyes because he reasons that if his eyes aren't yellow, or there at all, he can't be a Sith then :) Obi-wan now can only rely on Anakin to protect him. Obi-wan still punishes Anakin by making him wear a muzzle, like the guard dog he is :)) They save(?) the galaxy one way or the other, the end :)))

no because anakin was never dealt with a winning anything, my dude spent years as a slave’s kid working in the junk shop building droids as a form of fun.
i always enjoy the whole “Anakin just expected Obi-wan and Padmé to trust and listen to him?? Asshole” discourse because like… yeah??
not trying to self insert here but as a mentally I’ll individual 🫡 who in a fit of mania sometimes believes they are absolutely, 100% right and has the irrational thinking of; “im right, and you love me, you’re the person I love most, you should get it” & is totally irrationally emotional when they DONT, yeah… I GET THAT SIR!!
Even if it’s completely understandable, deep down I know they’re not at fault for not getting my own emotions, I’m in control of those — not others. I know this. Still, when my partner says something that goes against me it’s like nails against chalkboards sometimes
Again, when looking at Anakin he had nothing. He was a slave all his life, just to a different master each time. on Tatooine, to the Jedi/code, Palpatine and even to the Darth vader suit, he is never of his own free will. It was Qui-gon’s choice to win Anakin, to take him from his mother and home to what he thought would be a better life. granted it is, but he also finds himself isolated from what is imo what is supposed to be his “placeholder family”
MORE IMPORTANTLY Padmé is the love of his life, telling him that what he thinks they need, what he’s done for her and their family etc to be at peace/alive was actually WRONG!! BAD!! All meanwhile he doesn’t have any of his support at his side; Rex is off with ahsoka, obi-wan is fighting grievous on utpau meanwhile Palpatine has puppy Anakin at his every whim and call ((lets not forget that Palpatine had to have been grooming Anakin from a relatively young age)) They don’t get it, they didn’t see Padmé die before their very eyes, they don’t know what’s waiting them. Anakin is trying to save his family. Obi-Wan going against him is salt in the wound, even if Anakin himself knows it’s wrong and against the code and just completely evil.
I mean, Padmé FORGAVE him for the whole tusken massacre smh is it such a stretch to believe she would stand by his side as he waged war against the galaxy? i mean… isn’t that what love is…..? selfish, passionate, narcissistic, messy? she herself is a politician who often prioritized Anakin over her own duties I bet my man expected some “if you have a body in your trunk I’ll bring the shovel” type beat which also, i reiterate, WHY WOULDN’T HE when his wife forgave him for mass genocide, children included?,
he is emotionally/mentally fragile, he just recently slew younglings and killed Mace — you think this mf is thinking logically? Stop giving him the benefit of the doubt; he was a mess throughout the series, not once did he ever have his feet on the ground. He isn’t suddenly going to make the “right” decision, especially if it means sacrificing his loved ones. He’s an extremely flawed character, stop expecting him to make the right call.
The blocks of Anakin’s character have been set up to fall, Obi-Wan and Padmé are two of his most beloved relationships aside from his MOTHER that are completely dogging on his only hope of SAVING THEM. Anakin was never simply, “you have to do what I say or else I’ll get upset!” that’s a disrespect to his character — he can think logically. He isn’t a child. He is strategic, effective, in tcw he is the most efficient victorious warrior making Palpatine’s efforts look even better as leader of the republic. He builds droids from the time he is a young child all throughout his formative - adult years to the extent where knows how to understand their bleep bloops.
Anakin is flawed deeply, he was doomed from the get-go, never had a chance. His feelings are complex and deep and he questions the faith he swore to follow/protect. His character is so interesting to me and I have such a difficult time depicting the raw duality of man he wears on his shoulders everyday. Our desire to do good, yet to be evil; our desire to be unselfish, yet we are selfish.
This beautiful, scarred, monstrous mosaic of a man who from the very beginning, had a huge amount of pressure on him was meant to be so horribly dismantled. What other choice did he have? He is the chosen one, how could he be wrong? How could his idea of saving his family be any less honourable than the Jedi of the Galaxy?
He isn’t simply angry at them for not agreeing with him/falling with him, he feels betrayed. Personally. Obi-Wan and Padmé are pieces of Anakin, people that he loved so fiercely he labeled them as his enemies once they hurt him, he is too far gone to give them any semblance of second chances
anyways yep happy Thursday guys

Dont make me do this
Tumblr media
Masterlist
Summary: The chosen one has fallen, disappearing into the dark, following sidious. And though it is your duty to end him you just cant, why? Why should you kill him when ll he had done was be human? He gave everything for the love of his life. And you would do the same, you abandoned him once, and you will not make that mistake again, even if it meant following him into the shadows.
Warnings: jedi bashing? Swearing, angst, poorly writen gore/graphic injury.
A/N: This is a purely self indulgent fic based around unrequited/hidden love and HE DIDNT DESERVE THE FUCKING SUIT! All that precious little bean did was try to save his wife a baby 😭😭😭
Tumblr media
"Obi wan, we have to do this" you pleaded quietly, trying not to let padme hear you from your position in the cock pit. Your eyes searched his desperately, praying he'd see reason and agree to help you. You couldnt do this alone. Your prayers were unanswered Instead you felt ice prickle in your veins. shuddering under the intense glare the jedi master sent you. Youd never seen him so... angry before
"This is madness! You are letting your feelings cloud you;" he scolded quickly wiping the rage from his face trying not to succumbto his own emptions and be called out as a hypocrite.
"Damn fucking right i am! I am letting it get in the way, because being fucking emotionless drove him away, drove him to this." you snapped back your own desperation driving you to a furious frustration.
"Thea please now is not the time for this;" obi-wan sighed once again trying to brush you off as he often did. As everyone did. But this time you refused to be ignored, this was too damn important. You leant over slamming both hands down on the console letting your force crackle ominously around you.
Obi-wan stiffened at the display of hot fury. Something he'd heard mace and yoda raise concern about in meetings, yet he'd never seen this for himself. It was unsettling to see you so riled up. For the first time in his life he saw somthing else in you. Something frightening.
"It is the only time for this! Obi-wan, Anakin has struggled all his life in the order. He feels much more then anyone i know. He doesn't feel sadness only devastation, not happiness but elation, never fondness but love. He always has. And he felt completely and utterly alone" obi-wan tried to argue, he opened his mouth wantingnto find the words to counter you. But he couldnt, you were right, Anakin sought out connections. He didnt mean to but he did, subconsciously he always needed to cling to something, someone.
And in pushing him away, setting clear boundaries between them in an effort to stop himself becoming a father figure to anakin he hadnt been there to stop this madness. He'd failed to curb anakins need for attachments. Perhaps if he had allowed anakin to latch onto him as the boy wanted, he wouldnt have unknowingly sought out sidious, or you or persued padme. He could have happily continued his path as a jedi along side his master.
"We did that, we isolated him. Or made himmfeel isolated. He felt like he couldnt come to us for help obi-wan. He thought we'd judge him, that we would abandon him."
"He was terrified that the one person he loves, the only person in the world he could truly be ungaurded around was about to be torn from him. He made mistakes but so did we..." you traild off slumping back against the wall of the ship feeling your own shame wash over you. The many times youd seen anakin not himself, but let him brush you off, telling you he was just tired or giving some other generic excuse. Should you have pressed him harder? Pushed for answers, made him snap at you and perhaps get the truth. Was that what he needed?
"He slaughtered the younglings! He's become sith, and you want to pity him, you dont know what your asking!" Your self doubt was cut short as obi-wan growled in anguish. He was so torn, hurt by what had happened. Maye more so then you, he probably felt even more responsible for this then you did. He practically raised anakin. But no mtter how much this hurt him you were not about to let him take it out on you. No. He didnt get to do that, he wasnt the only person hurting, nd you werent about to become an emotional punching bag for him.
"I am asking you to fucking help me. I am asking you not to do this, dont fight him. He doesnt need an adversary. He needs help, he need us to accept him, to be honest with him and guide him" you snapped back watching with a tightening chest as obi-wan pulled back slightly. Before shaking his head scoffing at you, trying to calm his irritation. He spun away from you flicking a switch on the control panel before ducking his head pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Accept him? How. How can we accept this! How can you stand there and tell us we need to join him!" When he finally spoke again his voice rose quickly. You faltered not used to seei g anything but mild disapproval from him. Never had he bordered anger like this. You knew it was only natural, a mix of fear, disappointment and dread. He felt betrayed.
"Because thats what we need to do to fucking bring him back! I want to bring him back and we cant do that if we arnet beside him. For fuck sake this is the orders fault as much as it is sidious'... its our fault obi-wan. We ignored the signs, we... took Anakin for granted assumed he would cope alone so left him to his own devices" you managed to keep calm, trying to reason with obi-wan.
"We nurtured his turning by allowing his marriage to go undeteced we should have reported it;" obi-wan didnt get to finsh. You were narling in his face before he could move an inch.
"Dont you dare. DONT YOU DARE! Padme is the only reason he didnt fall sooner and you know it!" Your temper flared as you pointed in the direction of padme somewhere in the ship. Youd put up with a lot, but blaming padme because he couldnt stomach the thought of failing in his teachings was not one of them.
"And now look! He turned anyway! He fell Thea." He spoke quieter this time realising he may have begun to be unnecessarily harsh.
"Yeah he did. He fell right into the hands of sidious, because we couldnt catch him ourselves. Joining the dark side isnt the answer... even if we were just pretending so we can make him see the light, sidious would know." You offered once more, still trying to make obi-wan come around to your way of thinking. Surely it was better to try and save Anakin by nymeans then to just go and kill him? Didnt obi-wan love him enough to try?
"Im sorry but i have to do this. He has to see reason or..."
"Careful Obi-wan that almost sounded like an absolute." You hissed cruely making him snap his gaze to you. Eyes hardening as he took in your stnce, the way your force rippled around you sinisterly.
"Thea" he warned gently, trying to calm you and use that legendary charm he was famed for. But you sneered at him instead. All you could think was how easily the jedimaster was giving up, how he threw away his brother so quickly and would turn on him when there were other ways.
"You don even care how hypocritical you just sounded do you? The same old jedi double standard" Youd scoffed rolling your eyes, unable to The hypocrisy and intolerance wouldnt change.
"Please try to see things clearly" he almost pleaded, but unfortunately it was too late. Youd made your decision, and he had made his. All you could do now was watch things crumble around you.
"Oh trust me I do. i didnt before, but i finally understand. You dont see it. Do you? Its the order. Its poison. It's infected your mind like a sickness. They made sure the order means more to you then actual living breathing people." Your words began to twist, prod and slice at him but once you started you couldnt stop. Wouldnt stop.
"That no one in the galaxy should be more important or more powerfull then the jedi. Its funny really. The sith empire will rise again; more powerfull then last time and it was pssible because of the jedi orders hubris and even now the jedi are so blinded by their pride they refuse to admit it" your eyes locked with obi-wan's pwn pained gaze. He didnt respnd, you werent sure if it was because he was hurt by your words orif he thought this would blow over, that you were just throwing a tantrum. After a few more moments of silence he sighed, opeing his mouth to speak but it was too late.
"I dont want to hear it. Just know if you raise your saber, i will to." You anounced drawing a line in the sand before gettingnup, leaving the cockpit ignoring his calls to come back and talk this out. But there was no talking. No reconciliation. The time of the jedi had ended, the order was dead. and unfortunately obi-wan wasnt smart enough to admite defeat and abandon the sunken ship.
Tumblr media
You watched from Inside the ship as anakin and obi-wan dueled across mustafar's boiling terrain. You yelled in fury obi-wan was cunning, after youd left him in the cockpitt to mull over your words he'd removed your acsess to the doors. And left with pad,e quickly making sure you were kept on the ship.
Your heart broke as the fight continued, eyes watering as two people you caredmfor deeply camemto blows in a brutal battle. Padme was unconscious on the floor by the ship. It had been frightening seeing first hand what anakin was capable of, what he was willing to do to those he belived betrayed him. A tiny part of you wanted to stay on the ship out of fear. You were scared he now thought you were a backstabber. That youd forsaken him as padme and obi-wan had.
No. no you couldnt allow it. You wont let him think so little of you.
"3-po! Quick we have to get padme, come on we have to help her" you pleaded motioning to the woman sprawled out on the floor. Your words drew the droids attention and suddenly he was stepping towards the back of the ship all the while continuing his usual anxious rambling.
As soon as the door was open you bolted, running past the droid full speed stopping beside padme checking her over. She was unconscious- maybe passed out? But not dead. Thankfully Anakin would never forgive himself or obi-wan if padme had died here like this.
"3-po you handle this, take her to the ship and look after her" you called over your shoulder to the droid ignoring the complaints from him.
You raced across the surface of mustafar unclipping your lightsaber as you climber a small burning dune of sand only to freeze at the scene. Obi-wan had anakin trapped, the former was being backed up to the flowing lava. They were yelling at one another, screaming. Anakin was meeting his master blow for blow but Obi-wan wasnt relenting or holding back instead he was leading anakin to the river. Anakin hadn't noticed, he was to angry, he wasnt paying attention.
You ran, jumping, leaping forward trying to close the distance between them before it was too late. Your anger spiked fueling you, urging you to go faster. Obi-wan was going to throw him in the lava. He wasnt going to kill him himself. He didnt have the guts to do it cleanly himself!
Obi-wan brought his saber down in a powerfull blow tipping Anakin off balance . And with that the chosen one began to fall.
"NO ANAKIN!" the scream tore from your throat in such a mournful bellow it hurt your vocal cords. Both men looked towards you startled by you. Your arrival destracted obi-wan enough for you to stretch out to the force as Anakin fell into the molten lava.
He screamed in excruciating pain as one arm, shoulder, leg and the side of his chest became burned but you yanked on him. Your force was quick enough to pull him from his fiery grave before it could engulf him. And it was strong enough to put some distance between him and obi wan. Anakin landed heavily out of harms way quivering, hissing and moaning as the pain of his wounds began settling.
Anakin was alive. He was alive. Thank the force youd got out of that ship.
You didnt stop. Even though Anakin was alive, you didnt stop your charge. No. Instead to ignited your own saber and jumped over Anakin before lunging at obi-wan.
"Wait what are you doing? You said youd help" obi-wan yelled raising his saber only just managing to block your own. He staggered back, unprepared for the power youd put behind the blow. He waited for you to pull back but you didnt. Instead you pushed on keeping your blade locked with his, digging your heals into the rock below you and using your weight to throw him back a few steps creating some distancebetween the two of you.
"I said id raise my saber if you do. I never said it'd be pointed at Anakin" you panted pointing your saber to him threateningly.
His eyes widened, realising you had intended to kill him. He glanced to the purple of your saber. He knew what it meant, had always known what it meant. You were comfortable useing the dark side if you had to. It was unspoken but purple sabers were somewhat feared in the order. It meant you had afinty for both light and dark. It meant you were a different kind of jedi. Strong, dangerous. Suddenly he felt sick, the beginings of dread and icey fear curling around him. It was as they had always feared. You were turning. Not just Anakin, you were going to the dark aswell.
"No. No! Thea dont do this! Dont follow him down this road" obi-wan pleaded lowering his saber shaking his head at you, hopeing, praying you will stop before its to late.
You widened your stance before casting a look over your shoulder to Anakin. As silly as it was you were uncomfortable with him behinde you. He was clearly stressed, angered beyond the point of reasoning. Your eyes locked with his and he frowned. He was trying to figure out if you were an ally in this or not. You nodded subtly to him.
"Youll be okay Anakin. I'll help you with your wounds i promise just... just sit tight okay?" You said glancing at the burns on his side, the bionic prostetic was fucked, the metal and carbon melted and twisted, his fingers all stuck in odd angles and fused as if he had cramp. It was probably where the caseing was melted and shrunk pressing on the components below. It was completely useless now.
Your gaze lifted with a wince the top of his arm and shoulder was almost steaming from the way the intense heat that had caught it. His skin was blitering, torn and sagging away from his actual muscles and tendons. He was sitting down at an odd angle, his arm jutted away from his body, avoiding the same agonising blisters and open wonuds on his arm that also decorated one side of his chest, down his ribs and abdomen.
He only uttered your name in response. Hissing as he shifted trying to inch closer. His eyes told you all you needed to know. He was relieved you were here, thankfull you saved him. Yet determined, angry. He wanted to kill obi-wan you could sense it. See it in him. He was frustrated because he knew how close he'd come to failing. How close he'd been to death. Yet he still wanted to fight. But he also knew he couldnt take on obi-wan again in this state.
"Thea Move!" Obi-wan demanded angrily drawing your attention away from Anakin. You growled locking your shoulders and tensing, anticipating a strike from the jedi master.
"Move Thea please, dont make me do this" you scoffed keeping your eyes on him as he poised his saber for another attack. Both of you prepared to do what must be done.
"Im not making you do anything, your doing it all on your own. Leave obi-wan. Its over, the orders dead. Just... just go" you hissed feeling the irritation grow with obi-wan. He couldnt see it! He was blinded by faith in an order that never was.
"You know i cant do that i cant walk away from this" the jedi master pleade, as if tryingnto make it seem as if his hands were truley tied. And that right there was the problem. The jedi order did this to people. Took away choices, forced decision onto people claiming it was for the greater good. When in actual fact it was just to protect the orders values. They belived that there was no other way, all other veiws were immoral. It was almost amusing the amount of hypocrisy the order spewed, the absolutes they enforced despite only sith deal in absolutes.
"Yes you can, just go. While you still can. I dont want to kill you but i will." Your words were almost pleading, yet too harsh to be considered as such. You needed him to just walk away.
"Youll really do this? Really stand by him? After what he has done! Join his madness?!" You winced as he tried to manipulate you, twisting the knife in the still raw open wound. Dredgeing up the worst atrocities Anakin had just commited to try and sway you. Did you agree with the younglings slaughter? No. Your not a monster. But whats done is done, and you knew Anakin would regret that untill the day he died. When he dropped out of what ever manic fury he was in the younglings will haunt him forever. Thats his burden, his punishment, his guilt to bare. Not yours.
"Yes. I wont abandon him when he needs me. I wont let him suffer alone. Not again" you called out louder then intended, you heard Anakins faint gasp as you confirmed your intentions. You felt his force signature lift from behinde you. Perking up with a warmth you knew to be his own relief and joy. He was happy you werent going to turn on him.
Tumblr media
"You.. you love him. All this time you've been in love with him. Youll be sith fall into the darkside for him? This is why we dont love! This is the reason!" Obi-wan's words were small at first, doubtfull and confused. But quickly became frustrated accusations. You met his gaze and drew a breath choosing not to respond which made the jedi master snarl in frustration.
You had to look away from him, casting your eyes back to Anakin who had been torn between watching the scene before him and trying to ease his pain with deep breaths and force healing, that he wasnt exactly the best at.
But Anakin had heard, you wished he hadnt but he had. Looking up with a startled face, locking eyes with you questioning if it was true with a single gaze. You tore your eyes from him, fightened of what youd see in the next few moments. You didnt want him to know, didnt want him to see how far you had fallen. You were ashamed, your love was forbidden. But you loved your best friend, your comrade, brother. You loved a man who belonged to another. And it ate you alive.
"Dont you see? Dont you both see love feeds the darkness! It pushes jedi untill we are irrational and we fall untill we are sith;" Obi-wan began another rant, desperately trying to turn things around and scold you both into an epiphany. As if you both would suddenly stop holding people dear and your love would dissappear.
Obi-wans words seemed to be the final straw, he had found your tipping point. Scolding you like a child about pride and responsibility when he himself couldnt even admit the order had fucked up. That they had been cruel and negligent.
"I am not a jedi! I am not a sith! I am a fucking human being obi-wan. A free, thinking, feeling, angry, tired human being who has had just about enough of the orders propegander cultist shit!" Your scream echoed in the valley so loud it rendered the roar of mustafar almost silent in comparison. A small amount of your force rippled around you shifting the sand and rocks about your feet. Your rage had come to a boil, the darkness within you flickering awake. But you refused to stamp it out, refused to deny it this time.
"Thea.." the jedi master stepped back lowering his saber in shock as your aura darkened before him finally releasing what felt like a lifetime of pent up rage and fear. The fury and down right evil radiating from you was enough for him to rethink this battle. You were glorious and frightening to behold.
"Your right. Your right I love Anakin! I love you! I love padme and ahsoka and stars forbid i even hold a love for my master!" You continued shouting, loosing yourself in the truth of your own emotion. Welcoming the anger and frustration for the first time in your life. Finally, finally letting yourself drown in it.
"But i also hate. I hate master yoda for not listening to me when i sought reassurance, instead of helping me he gave me riddles and kept me silent. I hate that i was never allowed to question anything, i hate that i was expected to give up so much for so little. That my life would become meaningless just because i could use the force; it fucking condemned me! Condemned all of us!" Your words spewed like venom they were acidic on your tongue so much so you had to spit them out to so they wouldnt poison you further.
"I hate that i have become a fucking gaurd dog of the elite! That i spend my days protecting crooked senators instead of helping the civilians i vowed to protect and i loath; no detest the order and its stupid fucking rules, rules that were created out of fear" you clenched your saber tight in your fist untill the ridges of the hilt threatened to cut into your skin. You shook, quivered dragging sharp breaths through your teeth as your own words resounded around you. The fear, hate, shame and guilt youd always felt releasing at once in once torrent of regret.
"You dont know what your saying;"
"Yes i do! i said it and i meant it i hate the order. Hate it Obi-wan! And im fucking relived that this is the end of it because its needed to fucking die for years!" You shut him down quickly with a snarl, inching forward as another more powerful wave of your now tainted force escaped in yet another blast towards him despite you trying to hold it back. It was impossible, the air around you was charged with it. Crackling and twisting in an invisible violent display of power.
You closed your eyes pulling yourself back from what ever edge you were teetering on. Trying to calm yourself and draw some deep breaths. You didnt want to loose control, not like this but... but you didnt want to lie to yourself anymore or pretend. You were a human, you were entitled to feel your feelings.

Obi-wan watched in horror as your saber rattled in your hand, shuddering violently in your grip for a few long seconds untill it faltered. He felt sick to his stomach as the blade transformed before his eyes. Red seeped from the hilt, consuming the purple of your blade with greed. It was over, there was no coming back from that. Your kyber had absorbed the hate and malice. He coudlnt pull you from the dark side now. You were lost.
Even Anakin was shocked never seeing such a thing happen before. He knew how it happened but never once thought youd bleed your crystal. You were always so controlled and carefull with your saber and handling your kyber. Perhaps this was why? You were close to the dark and it wouldnt have taken much to slip and fall. What shocked him the most was that you hadnt even realised what youd done. Was it was so natural for you to feel this rage that you didnt even notice it properly? You didnt cast a second thought to what might happen to your kyber?
You began speaking again, this time clamer. But still on the cusp of pure unadulterated rage. The frightening female rage that could stop a man in his tracks with a single 'no' still oblivious to the new red hue of your blade.
"Between the hate, love and frustration most of all i am sick. Sick and tired of this galaxy and everyone in it trying to contain those gifted with the force. Just because the force chose us to wield it; doesnt mean we have to be fucking soldiers or pawns or or slaves to someone elses doctrines" you explained revealing just what you thought the jedi truley were. Slaves.
You heard Anakin from behind you, repeating the word gently in a strange disbelief. As if he himself had never associated the two. But you felt the realisation. The moment his own anger spiked before knosediving into a deep depressed disappointment. He had replaced slavery for slavery. And he'd never even noticed.
"You.. you have been straying? these? Thea how long has this...." obi-wan summarised, not even angry at you. How could he be? This was the orders failing. For a moment you thought you could see understanding. That he accepted the order hadnt just failed to understand and protect Anakin, but you aswell. How many others? How many jedi hated the order and were just too scared to sya it? How many people had stayed silent just so they could remain with their loved ones and not be exiled?
"Longer than him. As long as i can remember I..." your words trailed off. Once again shame and doubt cluding you. This was difficult, for the first timemyou were being honest with yourself, with obi-wan and Anakin. It was daunting letting everything out like this, feeling true emotions willingly. Youd been trained not to, itgoes against everything youve been brought up to belive.
"Thea? Why did you never say anything?" Anakin called from behind you finally managing to stand and breath through the pain, all be it unsteady and lopsided, his uninjured arms curled below his burned one.
"I couldnt. I never wanted to admit it... anakin you? Had your own doubts if I'd said something? I didnt want anyone to know my real thoughts. Or influence you." You uttered slowly still coming down from your rage, inching yourself back into a calmer state of mind. Somehow your outburst had stopped the raging war between the jedi master and Knight.
Or maybe obi-wan wasnt attacking because he knew itd be useless. A master jedi would struggle taking on one dark side user, let alone two. It was clear both you and Anakin had embraced your afinty for the dark side to certain degrees. You were both unpredictable now and obi-wan probably wouldnt best you both.
You tried to ingor the flutter of pride, you made a jedi master question his own strength and resolve. It wasnt a stretch to say he might even fear battleing you now youd begun your decent into the so called darker aspects of the force
"There is only the force and it is grey. It is balance, but it is power and we all use it to gain victory. The force is blameless and we are all manipulators. Thats it. Nothing else you either use it or you dont. Everything in the force can be used for good or evil." Anakin hummed pondering the words in a very un-anakin like way. He never seemed one for deep thinking or philosophical nonsense. But he seemed to be taking in your points weighing them up against one another.
"Dont you see obi-wan we twisted it, us. We made it what it is and use the force as an excuse to control one another. And if you force me to choose between slavery in the light and freedom in the dark?" You turned from Anakin and began pleading for your friend and teacher to understand your point. He had to, even if he didnt like it or agree you had to make him know of your reasoning. That you werent ust an evil woman driven by a need for power and vengeance.
"I choose the dark, just like Anakin. And honestly i chose it long ago... i was just scared of loosing what was most important to me. Scared to break the chains" you glanced to Anakin again unable to keep your self from checking on him. You were worried, concered and anxious to see if he was angry or disgusted by the way you felt about him. But he didnt give any indication, he was lost innhis own thoughts and didnt seem to aware of what was going on in that moment.
But then again he was probably overwhelmed. In the last few hours he'd betrayed the jedi, stormed the temple, slaughtered the younglings and jedi, almost killed padme and his unborn, fought his master, almost been burned alive and then had to deal with your hidden feelings coming to light.
"Thea please;" obi-wan tried again holding out his hand to you, trying to offer you a path back into whats left of the jedi. And it felt like the final attempt. He looked conflicted and exhausted.
You shook your head and stepped back as if he was trying to poison you. And in a way he was, he wanted to draw you into something youd only just managed to truely escape. He was still a slave he just couldnt see it. You pitied him in a way. He was too far gone and would never ever be free.
"No. I wont warn you again kenobi. You need to Leave now. And do not seek us out again" your voice didnt waver. You didnt flinch or stutter. Though the strength was just a mask. Inside you were crumbling, it shouldnt have come to this. The order should have just faded away like all relics of the past. But the jedi were greedy in their own way, stubborn. They refused to change, belived there was no need to ever compromise and for that hubris they had paid dearly.
Obi-wan didnt say anything, what could he say as you severed every connection you had with him. Every familiarity gone in a instant. He flicked his gaze from you to anakin and back again before disengaging his lightsaber and backed away. And then he was gone, falling out of sight behind the dunes.
Tumblr media
You stayed alert until, you saw the ship take off and felt you and anakin were alone. Only then did you finally disengage your own saber and relax, collapsing to your knees taking a moment to come to terms with what had just happened. You were out. Free, free to feel and love and hate, free to decide whats best for you, live on your own terms with your own beliefs.
Tears began streaming down your face. This wasnt what you thought itd be, wasnt what you feared. Where was the shame? The terror and guilt? You were supposed to be lost and alone now. But all you felt was relief and strong. You felt peace yet a chaos, powerfull. You felt bold. It was everythingnyou were told it wasnt. You heard anakin shuffle behind you and then a gruntal moan as he fell heavily to the floor next to you. That snapped you out of your trance, you can reorder your feelings later, for now he needed you.
"Fuck, fuck are you okay? Here lets get away from all this lava, come on up here, let me see." You began quickly assessing him while trying to usher him futher up the bank. He swore under his breath pushing at you hands as you tired to support him. It was slow going but you managed to help half drag him higher moving him away from the rushing lava river that nearly killed him.
"Hey talk to me..." your voice grew quiet as the silence dragged on becoming uncomfortable and tense. But he just stared at you, yellow eyes burning into you trying to figure something out. Like you were a puzzle for him to pull apart.
"You... saved me from the lava... you pulled me free before....and protected me. You chose to stay?" He finally spoke confusion lacing his words. For a moment you thought he was going into some pain induced delirium or shock syndrom. He was both questioning you and doubting himself. Yet at the same time reaffirming what had happened.
"Yes. I did... Are you okay? Anakin your scaring me;" you confirmed before trying to find out if he was feeling like himself. You needed to lnow if he was going to turn and attack you or not. You had to be ready, he may have dropped his saber but youd seen what he'd done to padme without it. You didnt want to be the next one on his list.
"Anakin is dead." He snarled, sharp and furious. It was manic he was desperate to distance himself from who he once was. You drew a breath nodding to him, raising your hands slowly in a surrendering motion as you felt his force swirl around him erratically smothering you in a thickening cloak of raw power.
"W-who has taken his place?" You tried not to fear the answer, fear him. But he was glareing at you so intensely it almost physically hurt.
"Vader. Darth vader." You flinched, swallowing dryly. So it was true, he wasnt just becoming a dark jedi, but a sith. A true sith apprentice, one day a sith lord like the old tales. But you managed to take it in your stride simply nodding along with him.
"And what is darth vader going to do? I-is he; are you going kill me? Now that obi-wan is gone and the jedi are being eradicated" with that he relaxed. The acceptance soothed him, his rage receded as if he understood you werent going to argue or harm him. You felt an overwhelming sadness at that. He was so defensive and vulnerable yet youd never noticed before. He didnt reply the silence was deafening, you could only assume the worse.
"It okay vader... its okay of you need to; just at least let me help fix you up first alright?" You reassured him holding back tears. You knew this was a possibility. Knew he might kill you anyway to truly set himself free of the order. And you were willing to do that for him, to die for him to release himself from the shackles of the order.
"Thank stars its your right at least you wont lose another hand, well youll need a new prostetic and your shoulders fucked for now but we can;" you continued babbling trying not to think as you began healing him slowly, carfully letting your force flow through you to at least sooth his pain. He stared the whole time gazing almost blankly at you. Not evern hissing or flinching as you worked over the burns.
"Were you telling the truth?" His voice carried a vulnerable lilt to it. Like a child asking a parent if they were truly forgiven after being naughty. It was a small voice one youd never heard him use before. You stopped what you were doing and sat straighter giving him your undivided attention, yet it was you who felt like you were under a microscope.
"Is what you said true? About the order... the dark. Your feelings... your love?" He struggled to voice the words aloud but had to. And just like he had to ask you knew you had to answer.
"Yes. I havent ever truly cared for the order, but i did fear them. I stayed because i had people i was afraid of losing" you looked down still feeling shame. It was so ingrained into you that everything you thought and felt was wrong you could'nt help but be nervous revealing it so intimately.
"But eventually you have to be true to yourself and accept it. Even if it means getting yourself killed. If thats the case I'll die free and honest" you summarised tryingnto let him know you understood and you were at peace with your impending demise, especially if that ps what he needed.
"And your love? Was that a truth you had to face? The thing you couldnt lose...The person you were afraid of losing?" He asked again this time more desperate. He raised a hand to yours, clasping your wrist tightly and pulling it from his wounds. You closed your eyes sighing.
"Im here arent I?" You chuckled nervously motioning around you. Trying to deflect and make him assume what he wanted to save yourself the embarrassment. But he shook his head a growling at you in frustration, irritated at your refusal to answer him directly.
"No. Thea I need to hear you say it. I need to know the truth. Tell me." His frustration rose and his grip grew tighter making you wince. Your eyes searched his, pleading for him to let this go. Whats the point in pouring your heart out to him now?
Tumblr media
His gaze was stern, brows pinched and jaw set firm, twitching in anger as the seconds slowly ticked away in silence as you continued your staring match. Finally you gave in looking away afterall you didnt have to look at him to bare your soul to him.
"Say what? That ive been madly inlove with you since i was a child? That i didnt understand what it was untill it was too late? That i adore you? That i always pushed myself harder and harder just so i could keep up with you and we wouldn't be separated? So i could be there if you ever needed me? That i could be strong enough to save you if you needed it?" You managed to wokr up the courage to look at him and gently twisted your hand from his grip and raised one slowly to his face. Cupping his jaw softly. He closed his eyes pressing into your palm, twisting slightly nuzzling into you enjoying the soft comfort.
"Yes. Yes to all the above. I love you and it has always terrified me like nothing else in the world. I was told so many times by my master by yoda and everyone who noticed that i was wrong. That it was dangerous and itd destroy me but i didnt care. I love you An-Vader;" you stopped yourself short and pulled away from him before you broke down. You felt like your chest was in a vice, being crushed. Your stomach was churning unsettled by the mix of fear and warmth you were feeling. It felt unnatural to just be human and experience your own emotions without resisting.
Vader followed your hand unconsciouly before capturing himself. Frowning in disappointment as the soothing touch fell away from him. He let you retreat knowing you you needed to distance yourself to get this off your chest once and for all. He was prepared for tears, and frustration and cursing. But he wasnt ready for the dark turn your words took.
"Fuck i even pulled clovis aside and threatened to skin him alive when he started to interfere; and i wasnt bluffing i was going to do it. I had a plan on how i was going to get away with it too. i scared him and myself. i couldnt find it in myself to be jealous of padme or resent her becasue i just wanted you to be happy. And if her love made you happy that was enough for me" your words pulled your force, making it thrum once more igniting under the surface with an eager malice as you remebered the fear. The promise you made to clovis as he trembled at the thoughts you were pushing into him. Youd gone too far that day. You knew you had, forcing him to see his own torture in his minds eye. It wasnt the jedi way. Youd avoided him after that. Not wanting to relive it, far too frightend of your own commitment to your threat. Youd have done it. Youd do anything for Anakin.
"She didnt, she never actually;" Vader began speaking searching for the words to explain himself. As much as he didnt want to belive it he knew there was only one explination for padme's refusal. He wasnt enough. His love and devotion wasnt enough to keep her by his side. He trembled, lip quivering as he turned to look you in the eye and finally with a shaky breath he admitted outloud what you both knew to be true.
"She has betrayed me. She wouldnt come with me y/n. In the end she didnt want me enough. I did everything for her. All this for her and she abandoned me her love wasnt enough to stand by me." He broke down, he didnt understand. Didnt want to, the pain was too much. He had sacrificed everything for her survival. And he sees now it was in vain. He'd been living a lie for her and she didnt see what it had done. What she had cost him. What he was willing to pay for her to be safely by his side.
You inched closer as he crumbled, mouring his love. His loss, his failure. It cut you, twisted cold knives in your gut. How? How could she have done this? Didnt she see what there marriage had cost them? Cost Anakin. No. How could she? Padme was free, she had nothing to lose. To her she had a powerful, respected ,handsome husband who she could have exciting secret couplings with when ever she wished. She got to run around in her own exciting forbbiden romance reality.
Yet Anakin could have lost everything he had worked for . All his years of blood sweat and tears would have been for nothing. He'd have lost his home, family, freinds, job his entire world would have crumbled around him if he'd been caught. And in the end he gave it all up willingly, falling from grace so thoroughly just to save her life. And it wasnt enough.
"But you didnt run... you didnt abandon me..your feelings are real, they have to be" you were pulled out of your thoughts by him grasping you, his hand coming to your cheek. You gasped as he pushed forward fingers trailing down to your jaw thumb lightly, ghosting your lower lip and then with a languid twist his fingers rose once more to settle on your cheek again.
Its was like he was mapping out your features. Fascinated and in awe. You blinked at him speechless from the delicate feather light touches. He'd never done anything like this before. His eyes became haunting as the yellow shrunk giving way to his puplis that grew wider. It was like he were seeing you for the first time, releasing the tight grip on his own restraint. Just as you were about to break the silence he spoke again, this time softer.
"You... you just threw away everything for me. Risked everything to protect me, just as i did for her. You truly love me. More then the others; more then my own wife. Im sorry, sweet angel im so so sorry i never saw it before." He apologised slidingmhis hand to cup the back of your neck and tipped forward pressing his own forehead to yours.
"I will not forsake you as she has done me. Do you hear me? I will not, i swear to you Thea. Come with me. Join me" the vow caught you off gaurd. This was something you only dreamt of. A fantasy youd kept in secret. He closed his eyes arching up pressing a kiss to your head inching closer and pulled you to rest on his collar bone. His arm now dropping to coil around you as best as they could with the damage done to his prostetic. You leant into him letting yourself curl into him, closing as much space as you could between the two of you.
"Join me? Please? We can... we can build something. Be something greater than what we were designed to be. Make an empire that will bring peace, that will punish the wicked greed festering in the galaxy" you shuddered feeling a sob bubble up. The guilt and elation both clashing in an overwhelming storm of emotion youd never been allowed to experience before. Tears began flowing once more as you tried to latch onto something familiar, something comforting. But there was nothing, it was all brand new and frightening.
"But what about Padme? Arent you going to try and convince her again? Or sidious? He will kill me im not strong enough to join him he'd never;" your words were mumbled, sentences torn apart by weak sobs and soft sniffles. You were desperately trying to find some stability, some comfort in all the chaos. And you were most comfortable when denying yourself everything youd ever truly wanted.
"Padme is not my concern any longer. Its time i stopped kidding myself, she showed where her loyalties lie. She was willing to let me; the so called love of her life, her husband, the father to her child; die at the hands of obi-wan becuase i chose another more powerful path" You shook your head disagreeing in mumbled hlf sobs weeping into him still unable to really understand what he was saying, you heard the words but it didnt register. You didnt want to risk believing them incase this was a trick, a ruse to ruin you completely.
"You were not. You who has been by my side, and loved me in secret. You stood up against obi-wan to protect me, thats the loyalty and courage a true wife should have. I will not ignore that sacrifice" he said louder, a grit to his voice determination and authority pouring from him. He wanted you to listen. To truly listen and see this for what it was. This was the defining moment of both your lives. The moment you both truly found oneanother and began walking the same path, marching towards a future that would give the both of you everything youd ever wanted and needed.
He honestly belived that both of you had been drifting through this life, mearly exsisting waiting for this moment where the force finally unites you both. He could feel it now, see clearly for the first time in years. The sleepless nights, doubts and fear of his own desires and marriage came to an end and al. He knew was that this was where he had meant to be. Here with you standing on the dawn of a new era for the galaxy.
"Sidious will not harm you. I will not allow that. You are loyal to me. You are mine. And i will fight to,protect you as you have fought for me today." His words poured, hands grasping you tighter as you cried still weakly holding onto the past. Your own doubt and fear clouding your resolve. He hated it. The way you crumbled so completely into him, you were strong. Always so strong but here and now you were lost and overwhelmed. It was down to him to pull you through. To guide you back and show you your place amongst all the changes.
"But im a jedi; vader dont... dont toy with me. I know you need to kill me and its okay. Its okay, im ready. I knew; you dont have to;"
"You are no longer a jedi. Look. Your saber...see?" He cut you off quickly, a snarl. Then he let out a breath before tipping his head to your saber and explained gently. You frowned at him before leaning to the saber youd discarded beside the both of you as you slumped to the ash. With a quick look to Vader you ignighted your saber only to yelp and drop it as soon as the red glow shone from the hilt.
"Oh... oh stars what?" You blreathed out fear and shame flushing through you. Vader moved bringing the saber between you both again ingiteing it again needing you to face the reality of your new predicament.
"You bled it Thea. Somehow while your kyber was still sat inside your saber. I haven't even managed to bleed mine yet. But you? It seemes you have been much closer to the dark side than me for a while" he hummed flicking his gaze from your awe struck face and the now red saber. It was odd seeing one so close without being attacked. It was raw, powerful. He could feel the rage and distress from within it, he knew he was feeling your own discontent through the hilt. But at the same time there was almost a relief? You were at peace with the red kyber. There was an understanding. He could only assume youd been fighting it for a long time.
"I think that is what made obi-wan retreat. He realised you were serious and willing to do what ever it took. That you meant every word and if he had stayed he would be fighting a powerful woman with no jedi rules to follow" he pondered outloud still watching you trying to decipher your thoughts. He could see how this was a moral dilemma. You seemed to return to him from the shock and gave a half smile taking the saber from him with a lightly nod and clipped it to your belt.
"He feared for his life and ran" he smirked as you scoffed at that rolling your eyes at him. He released a breath he didnt realise he'd been holding as you seemed to have gatherd yourself together with an odd acceptance.
"Once i have gained the knowledge i need i will end sidious and We shall rule. You and me Thea. The jedi order and all those who stand in our way will fall;that is if you want to join me? Become the force wielder you were born to be" he ducked down following your eyes as they dipped away from him, his uninjured hand tipping your chip up once more. You flicked your eyes to his, the amber was almost golden and shone with a sincere pleading. He was being honest.
"Become the woman you were meant to be. Im asking you take this final step with me please. Come with me, serve me, stand beside me; where you belong take your place along side me and rule. Will you help me make them all pay?" You swallowed whimpering quietly lowering your eyes to your saber resting in your lap and then locked eyes with him again. What was there to lose now? You had nothing now. Nothing but the freedom to choose.
"Yes of course i will. Id do anything for you" you managed to speak through the thickening lump in your throat, managing to push through the emotional whirlwind that encased the two of you.
"And i you. Perhaps it is not too late for us, maybe we can both finally break our chains and find the true love we have always craved"
"Dont say things like that, you love padme and that wont change. And thats okay Vader." you grunted into him still weakly trying to deny what had just happened. Still convinced that Vader was lost in his own feelings and hurt by his wife. Refusing his love for her out of spite.
"You love many people, why would you think im any different. I have always held you close to my heart. I do love you, i thought i loved padme more. But... I was young and foolish, you were jedi and untouchable she wasnt. I loved you enought o never risk you, yet i didnt do the same with her. Maybe i was wrong?" He sighed pondering hos own reasoning and short comings. Maybe he should have giving things more thought before jumping the gun the way he had. He would admit after his marriage hed been torn, happy to have a slice of normality but felt an uncomfortable pain when he'd watched your face drop at the news.
"Fuck anakin really must be dead. He's never been wrong before" you laughed slapping at him playfully. He grunted pushing you back making you fall back into the ash calling you a brat.
"Oh thank god theres still some sass in there, for a second there i though vader was going to be a boring old fart" you both chuckled at that and for a second there was nothing else. No responsibilities, no betrayal no jedi of sith. It was just the two of you chuckling at your own antics as youd done so many times a children. Before everything real and pure had been stolen away and twisted for someone elses gains.
Tumblr media
"Come. We should go he isnt patient" vader spoke glancing up the ridge as he felt Sidious approach looking down the bank to the both of you. He stood with a grunt dragging you up beside him with useing the force. You gasped lightly at the way his life force acquainted itself with you in a new familiarity. It was forbidden to use the force this way, touching carelessly could cause unbreakable force bonds, your own life forces could mingle and become reliant on one another. It was almost seen as rude and obscene to let your force touch someone else outside of healing and battle.
You eyed him flushing but said noting, instead shyly opened yourself up to him as you both began to climb up the bank towards sidious. You felt unsure as you followed vader, but you trusted him. Sidious might not have wanted you but... would he real1ly deny another corrupted jedi? Your answer came as you approuched him, he peered around vader to you and his face lit up into a sinister grin. He nodded eyes glinting with glee, it would seem he was pleased with his two for one deal.
"Come, let's get both of your injuries tended to and then we can discuss our next objectives" you relaxed visibly at that before letting Sidious lead you both away. You weren't sure what was going to come next, and selfishly you didn't care. All you knew was for the first time in your life, you'd made the choice. And you will stay beside Vader for along as he allowed you to. You will not turn your back on him. Not now, not ever.

It had been three years since you had been stabbed by Count Dooku and in those years you had watched the galaxy change. Though you had managed to recall at least some of the major events, helping to bring down several separatists along the way. Upon the council’s wishes Obi-Wan had taken you on as a student, though you refused the title Padawan or joining the Jedi order they had agreed it was in your best interest to learn how to wield the power you had. You had also convinced the council that some of their rules had become all but obsolete. Explaining to them that love was not a thing that should be shunned, but utilised.
Ki-Adi Mundi had to agree with you, his marriages had proven not only fruitful to his species but to his own mental health. It helped that almost all of the children exhibited force sensitivity. To this the council agreed and love was now part of the code. Giving Anakin the chance to live with his wife in the open.
Your relationship with Anakin had dwindled, attempting to keep your own heart protected you had kept yourself away from him, only interacting if your missions involved each other. Every time you saw him, he would try to speak to you, catch you alone in some way but each time you would silently turn away from him. It stung his pride of course it did, but it was necessary.
You had kept him away from the Chancellor at least. Having him promise that any thoughts or fears he might have he would go to Yoda with. How could he refuse you?
Turning around from your place at the dining table you see Shaak Ti walking toward you.
“Your information is invaluable y/n. We have managed to finally remove the inhibitor chips from every clone and stopped the production of them. The council owes you a great debt.”
You smiled and thanked the Master Jedi for her words.  There is a commotion behind her and you both move to look at what was happening. Anakin and Ahsoka stood with a crowd around them, each Jedi cheering them for their great feats. You rolled your eyes.
“Excuse me, Shakk Ti, I am needed elsewhere.” You excuse yourself and head for the door on the opposite side of the room, heading out to the hallway. Your whole body wants to run to your friend and wrap your arms around him, you had missed the opportunity to get to know Ahsoka in order to stay away from him. Though you had ensured she would not get the blame for the explosion when it happened. Your mind was so focused on your memories that you walked straight into Mace Windu and Obi-Wan.
“Ah, excellent, we were just looking for you. Will you come with us?” You nod to the two older men and follow them along the hall.
“What happens if we send them?” Mace asks. You aren’t sure if you should say, your eyes glance up at Obi-Wan who nods.
“We have intelligence that the Chancellor has been taken hostage by Count Dooku and General Grievous on a starship.” you halt at Windu’s words.
“No. Do not do it. Don’t send anyone, especially not Anakin. This is it, this is where it begins.” your words are quiet but it makes both men turn to look at you.
"I don't think we need to. It is time, I think, for me to tell you all what is happening. Could you call the council?" You ask them. Obi-Wan nods, placing his hand on your shoulder.
“In the story you send Obi-Wan and Anakin with a squadron. They take the ship, there are some casualties. Obi-Wan is knocked unconscious and Anakin…Dooku’s death is the beginning of the end for him. It could be different now, the Chancellor does not hold the same power over him as he did before. I just don’t think we should risk. Please send someone else.” you all but beg them at the end.
“You and I then, my young one.” Obi smiles at you. The confidence he has in you is possibly misplaced.
"Alright dear one. I will call for you when we are ready." You nod to your Master and quietly watch them walk away.
"You've been avoiding me again." Anakin's voice appears in your ear and you turn to see his face close to yours.
"No, I have been busy. There is a war on, if you haven't forgotten." There is an attempt to be funny and deflect his accusation.
"Please don't push me away. I've done everything you asked of me. All these years." It's the same plea each time he catches you.
"Master Skywalker, I heard of your promotion, I should have congratulated you earlier." You try to change the subject.
"Thank you. Can I, can I see you? Properly see you. I have so much to tell you."
"You should see your wife, she will.no doubt have some news for you."
He scoffed at your words.
"She has hardly spoken to me in the last year. Too busy with her many male visitors to worry about me."
"What do you mean?" You ask, dropping your disinterest.
"She has affairs, I don't blame her. I am not a husband that she can rely on. I tried, I really tried it, for you I tried but I couldn't do it, so I've taken every mission I could to stay away from her because…because I dream about you. I know you've grown close with Obi-Wan and I understand if you…if you love him."
Your hand resting on his forearm stops his words.
"Anakin, I'm so sorry. I thought I was doing the right thing. You were supposed to have children with her-"
"Well I haven't and it is has been nothing but torture. Every single day I question why you made me do this and you never give me answers as to why."
You take a step back from him.
"Anakin, you don't understand-"
"I do! It's me isn't it? The Great evil you are here to stop. I know it, from that day after Geonosis, the way you looked at me." He didn't approach you, but took his own step backward and slumped against the wall.
"I'm sorry, Anakin." In truth your heart was breaking. You had wanted to tell him everything you had seen and known but he had gone before you had a chance.
"I should've told you a long time ago. In the stories you fall to the darkside, seduced by the dreams you have of Padme's death. The ch, Darth Sidious uses your insecurities to warp your mind."
"The chancellor? That's why you didn't want me to see him? I've had no dreams of Padme's death." Anakin admitted.
"Maybe-"
"Only yours." His words cut through you.
"Mine? What do you see?" You ask.
Anakin takes in a long deep breath, his hand finding yours when he finally stands back to his full height.
"I see you, standing in front of a hooded man, then you are on the floor, bloody and crying. I can't get to you in time and before you. It's like when you first came here and you kept phasing out, but you don't come back." A single tear drops down his face.
You have no response that sounds remotely right so you simply stand there, holding his hand.
"I wish we could go back to then, when you first came here." Anakin spoke softly.
"So do I." You whisper back to him.
"Y/n?" Obi-Wan's voice called out to you through your mind.
"The council is ready for us, come on." You say to Anakin turning on your heel and all but marching through the halls. Over the years you had prided yourself on learning the layout of the temple, at least enough to always get you to your dormitory and the council chambers. The large doors still held as much fear as they did that first day. Your chest beat in your ears as you approached. Obi-Wan stepped out to you, taking your hands.
"You'll be okay, dear one. Just remember to breathe through it." Your eyes are held by his and the two of you appear to communicate through your minds. When you feel your thoughts clear enough to be coherent you nod to him and make your way inside.
"I have brought Master Skywalker with me, as he has a right to know all of this as well." You begin, "I'll jump straight to the chase. The eminent threat is the Chancellor. He is not who he has been pretending to be, rather he is the Sith Lord Darth Sidious. Apprentice to Darth Plagueis. He was planning order 66, which luckily should now be basically undoable with the inhibitor chips removed from the clones. Unfortunately he still has the droid army and the separatists on his side, not to mention the backing of almost the whole senate. There is evidence that we can get, including plans for a super ship that can destroy worlds called the death star." You stop thinking about what else you needed to say…"um there is a lightsaber in a statue in his office. He is strong though, and has force lightning." Your chest was starting to get right. "I don't…I can't, things are starting to get foggy. It's been a long time since I, um. He was going to turn Anakin, use the distrust you each had for him and his for you, cultivate it, but we changed that. Darth, Darth Maul is still alive, I don't-" you hold your hand to head. Somewhere behind you Anakin's voice echoes into your ears. Your body flickers. Visions of another world flash in front of you. No, not another world, your world, your real home. Where are you though? Not your apartment. A street, not a real street, a film set.
"Y/n?" Anakin places his hand on your shoulder and you're back in the council chambers.
"Anakin, I can't, I need…Obi-Wan." Your friend rises from his seat taking hold of your shoulders as you fall backward into him.
"What is happening, Master Kenobi?" Kit Fisto asked.
"I don't know." Obi-Wan answered, holding onto you.
Pain severed through your mind, making you grasp at your head. The Emperor's face lit up in front of you as he laughed. Count Dooku dead before him with Anakin standing beside him.
"He's in my head." You call out. One hand clutching to Obi-Wan as the other reaches out for Anakin. "Anakin, please. Stay away from the chancellor, don't go to him, don't let him-" you scream again and you feel memories being plucked from your mind. "Obi-Wan keep him safe, no matter what happens. You have to promise me, both of you!" You're crying but the tears are not water. Dark red stains your face. "In my room, my phone, it has more details. I wrote it all down before it died. Anakin, you're brilliant, you can make a way to charge the battery and get the information. Please I think
I'm losing it all." Bile rises up.in your throat and you can hear the cackling laugh of Palpatine inside your head. The Council had all stood, gathering around you as they watched your eyes slowly close. Your body cradled in Obi-Wan's lap.
"No, y/n don't go. We can't lose you." Obi-Wan openly wept as you slipped away.
************
Anakin smacked his hands against the wall as frustration overtook him once more.
"What is taking them so long?" He growled.
"It cannot be easy to convince an entire galaxy that the person they put in charge to keep them safe is the actual threat they were fearing." Shaak Ti reminded him.
"They've been in there for five hours." Anakin stated.
"Skywalker, you need to calm down, or leave."
He huffed at her before sitting on one of the cold benches.
Heavy footsteps walked up the hallway into his line of vision. A dishevelled Obi-Wan sat down beside his once Padawan.
"Anything?' He asked. Shaak Ti shook her head.
"Y/n?' Anakin asked, hopeful.
Obi-Wan shook his head.
"The healers will not allow me in. I have no news on her."
"They cannot allow her to die." Anakin said to no one in particular.
A door opens close by, Yoda walking out with his walking stick.
"Go we must, our way it is not going." He announced. "The time of the Jedi, over it is, for now." All three Jedi stood and followed Yoda out of the senatorial building.
"Into hiding we must go. To Anch-To we shall go. Gather everyone we must. Y/n you shall bring Kenobi."
"My wife?" Anakin asks.
"Sided with the senator she has. Behind she must stay." They all rush to the temple, where after a message was sent by Yoda on the way everyone was already making quick work of emptying the halls. Both Anakin and Obi-Wan ran to the halls of healing, where you had been placed into a Bacta tank in preparation to be moved. The healers acknowledge their arrival and work around them.
"Masters?" Ahsoka appeared behind them. "I stayed with her like you asked, Master Kenobi." She stated. Anakin rubbed her shoulder.
"You have done very well, young one. Are you ready to leave?" He asks gently.
"Yes Master."
Another woman steps up to them, introducing herself as Hani your personal healer for the trip.
"Come, we have transport this way." She gestures to a door in the back and the two men push the tank you are in. The hallways have been darkened and it is hard for them to see where they are going. Nervous energy building around them until they arrived at a hanger. Two garrisons of clone troopers with both Rex and Cody were waiting alongside Plo Koon.
"Come, we have little time before the droids arrive." Plo announced ushering everyone inside.
"What is happening?" Ahsoka asked as her hands shook.
"The senate have declared us war criminals and blame us for everything that is happening. We must all disappear for our own safety." Plo explained.
"What about the safety of the galaxy?" She squeaked.
"They will have to wait." He replied flatly and ended the conversation.
Obi-Wan is attaching your bacta tank to the walls in the communal area of the transport ship. Anakin watches him press his hand to the tank.
"Do you, are the two of you-?" He can't say the words but Obi-Wan understands him.
"Besides you y/n is the closest thing I have to family. I love her very dearly, but no, Anakin there is nothing between us. Perhaps once we may have come close, a wayward thought of mine. Her feelings have never wavered. She is yours, heart and soul." Obi hoped his words would sooth his friend. Anakin walked up to the tank, looking into your silent face, a mask covering your mouth and nose.
"I've missed her so much. Isn't it strange she's only been with us for three years?" Anakin said over his shoulder.
"It feels like a lifetime ago." Obi agreed.
Anakin stayed looking at you for many hours until Ahsoka finally persuaded him to get some sleep. The healer stood before you, a glint of a smile on her face.
"Well, looks like you were wrong and you won't save them. You've just brought their fate quicker." Pressing a few buttons on the panel she walked away, leaving you. Your body twitched in pain, writhing and wriggling against the liquid.
****************
Seventeen hours after the Jedi had left the known galaxy, and arrived at the first Jedi temple. Five days since your tank had been wheeled into the main temple inside the mountain. One hour since it had been broken and your body flung to the ground.
Shaking and alone you wake.
Your eyes shoot open as pain takes hold of your body once more. A whimper across the room alerts you to the healer's presence. She lifts herself off the ground, a shard of the tank glass lodged in her arm.
"They said you were powerful, but this is something else. There is no way you could have broken through that drug" she yanked the glass from her arm as she spoke.
"Drug?" You cough out, trying to lift your body from the ground.
"Come now, you think he didn't know what you were? Of course he knew, he is the Emperor." She towers above you and you slump back to the ground, bacta liquid splashed around your limbs.
"You may be able to survive the drug but can you survive being torn apart?" Her sadistic smile brought an acidic bile to your throat.
"Obi-Wan, Anakin." You whisper their names as the healer draws her sabre. Using what little strength you have in your arms you try to crawl back, dragging your useless legs behind you.
Hani used her abilities to lift you into the air, your body rising out the side of the temple and dangling over the cliff side. Below the other Jedi see this and come running. Obi and Anakin at the forefront.
"You ruined the Emperor's plans. He wanted Skywalker, but he knows a better way to get him. Your death will reset his plans." Hani cackled but it's cut short as Obi-Wan's sabre drives through her body. You begin to fall. Anakin leaps off the temple following you. Your eyes meet and you reach up your arms to him. His body crashes into yours, pulling you tight against him. Air rushed around you, whipping your hair around your faces. You were sure you would feel the hard ground or sting of the cold water any moment but it didn't come. With a slight bounce the two of you stop and hover above the crashing waves.
Ahsoka and three other younglings concentrate with their hands outstretched in front of them. Using the force to fly you both to the shore.
"Are you okay? Did she hurt you?" Anakin whispered in your ear. You shake your head, throat too sore to answer. Once back on the ground you cling to Anakin's robes as he carries you into one of the small stone huts. Ahsoka brings water for you to drink.
"I'm sorry this should never have happened." Anakin repeated. His arms surrounding you holding both his robe and a blanket around your cold body, still wet from the tank.
Being unable to talk you pressed your hand to his chest, feeling his heart beating. Silently asking for answers.
"I'll explain everything soon, my love. First let's get you healthy." He says into your hair.
The warmth of Anakin's body against you lulled you into a peaceful sleep. He is simply glad to finally have you in his arms, to have you against him. You were alive and by the way your hands still held him tightly, you needed him as much as he needed you.
You awake again sometime later, Anakin's head resting back against the wall. You open your mouth to speak but no voice comes out. Nothing but breath can escape your throat. Opting instead to lightly tap Anakin's face to wake him.
"What is it? Are you okay?" He asks, sleep still in his voice.
You press your fingers to your throat and shake your head. Anakin cups your face with one hand.
"They said this could happen, when you were, when it happened your throat was clamped by the force. We think it was Palpatine, choking you. Your vocal chords have been damaged." You nod in understanding, placing your head into his shoulder once more. Across the hut the door opens revealing Obi-Wan.
"We need you both in the temple." He crossed the room and crouched before you, running his fingers through your hair, "oh dear one, we should have been paying closer attention." He whispered. You pull away from Anakin and fall into Obi-Wan's arms. "Can you walk?" He asks. Unsure you allow them both to help you to stand. Your legs are weak and wobble below you. Both men hold onto an arm each helping you to walk back to the temple. The council were waiting for you each with a Solomon look on their face. It's explained that they questioned Hani, the healer. She was being controlled by the darkside, using her position to lace the bacta tank with a drug. The substance kept your mind hazy and your attachment to the force weak. Had she succeeded you may never have awoken. Unfortunately the tank malfunctioned, you had been able to wake enough that you'd burst the tank from the inside.
"We know you are unable to speak but we need any information you have not yet told us." Plo requests. You turn to look at Obi-Wan, confusion pulling your eyebrows down.
"I know nothing. I have no memory of my life before…before meeting you." You echo your voice into his mind. Obi-Wan reiterates your words to the council.
"That is unfortunate." Yadel sighs.
"Locked away perhaps your memories are. Time to heal you may still need." Yoda nodded his head in your direction and the others agreed. It was determined that Obi-Wan and Anakin would work with you to get your body strong again. At which time they would work on your mind.
As evening drew in you felt a new fear creeping toward you. The native residents showed you to your own hut, there was a bed and not much else. They lit a fire inside but it did little to quell your fears. Perching on the edge of the bed you called out to the two people who could keep you safe.
"I don't want to be alone." You explain to them once they have both arrived. Each man sets themselves up a cot in the Anakin right beside your own and Obi-Wan close to 5he door. You finally fall asleep to the sound of R2s recording of a Naboo lullaby, your hand held by Anakin.
****************
Padme stood alone in her apartment, everyone she knew was dead or part of the new empire. Clothed in a simple black tunic and breeches she waited for her fait.
JarJar, the secret apprentice to Dooku, appeared at the landing platform.
"Time to go, Mesa Senator." He spoke in a much lower tone than she had ever known before, his glowing yellow.
"I am sorry you have fallen so far my old friend." She approached him, looking over his shoulder to see commander Typho standing by the star ship.
"Only sorry you were caught." JarJar quipped back at her.
"perhaps old friend, but you should have known better than to believe I would ever bow to an Emperor." As she spoke Typho had moved in close behind the Gungan Shooting him with a stun blaster. Jar jar fell to the ground as Typho pulled the Senator to the ship.
"We do not have much time. We must get to the Jedi." He said to her as they began pulling away from the landing pad.
"You know where they've gone?" She asked, settling into the copilot seat.
"We think so. I had a communication from Rex some time ago. Hopefully the intel is still good."
"Let's go find my husband." Padme said.
Over the last four days you had slowly learnt how to walk unaided, though Obi-Wan or Anakin would be beside you at all times, holding your arm. Cody had also become more concerned about your safety, stationing a guard at your door at all times.
The day was unusually warm for Anch-To so you had chosen to sit outside, laying a blanket on the grass. Obi-Wan runs a training session with the younglings not too far away. His eyes would glance over to you every few seconds.
“Anything come back to you yet?” She asked. You shake your head.
"I'm alright." You spoke to his mind, still unable to speak. He would nod and return to the lessons.
Ahsoka plonked down beside you.
“All I remember is them, Obi-Wan and Anakin, there is nothing else.” You think at her. It was a feeling, like you had been pulled into a place you didn’t belong whilst finally finding the one place you were meant to be. Your only memories were those with Obi-Wan and Anakin.
“It must be really disorientating.” Ahsoka sympathised. You nod and sigh, turning your head to watch the younglings train with their short sabres. If you were honest you had enjoyed the last few days. The planet was quiet and with no memories so was your mind. The Jedi appeared to thrive on this planet, training in the most basic of places took away much of their recent distractions. The clone troopers had begun creating a new network of homes. Building structures around the transport ships and cruisers that had brought them all there. You wondered if you could all stay and live in peace and harmony forever, though you knew that wouldn’t happen. The Empire would eventually reach you all.
“Where is your Master?”
“He is coming, the council needed to talk to him.” Ahsoka answers you.
“I am going for a walk. Distract Obi-Wan if he notices.” You say getting up and walking away. The Island was not massive but big enough that you could hide yourself away on the opposite side. A small flock of Pougs wandered along by your feet
“Miss y/n? Sorry, we’ve been told not to let you be alone.” A trooper called Stirrup appeared a few steps behind you.
“Can you hear me?” you ask through your mind, unsure if the trooper would hear your voice. The commander lifted his hand to his head,
“Whow. Was that you?” he asks, you smile and nod.
“Do we know each other well?” you step closer to him.
“Yeah, I guess so. We’ve been fighting alongside each other for two and a half years. You really don’t remember, do you?” There is a twinge of sadness in his eyes that makes you feel bad. How could you have forgotten someone who clearly means a lot to you?
“I’m sorry. The Masters say my memory will return eventually.”
“Of course it will, it has too. The Emperor will want everything in that little head of yours.” Stirrup stepped closer to you, his hand grabbing onto your arm. “We’ve been waiting but it’s taking too long. Time to take you back to the Emperor” Stirrup’s head twitched as if he was fighting against mechanics in his neck. Trying to yank your arm out of his you feel his grip tighten, pressing into your flesh.
“What was this?” He asks you.
“Anakin!” You call out through the force, bringing your foot up to kick the trooper in his stomach. He drops your arm as he lurches back and you take the opportunity to run away. Trees and bushes whipped at your skin as you ran, blaster shots ringing past you. You know you can out run him, pushing against the ground with the force on your side. You're running blind though, not knowing where you are running. You run into something hard and warm. Anakin’s arm wraps around you and he uses the force to hold Stirrup in the air.
“Anaklin, let him down, you cannot succumb to anger.” you think at him. Anakin looks down at you and nods, dropping the clone to the ground as several more come running in and cuff him.
“Anakin, check the clones for anything that could be used to control them. The Emperor, he is trying to use me to get to you.”
“Do you think we could have one boring week?” He laughs and you smile up at him. As Stirrup is marched away Anakin takes your hand to lead you back to your hut.
“Y/n? Before all of this I was trying to tell you how I felt about you.” He crouched in front of you sitting on the bed. “When you arrived here it was like a dream had come true, then you started to change things, not just me but the Jedi, the code. The galaxy is at war but with your help we have saved thousands of people who would've died before. Your coming here was a miracle none of us knew we needed. I did what you asked me to, I tried to be with her, to do what you needed me to do but I don’t think the time has long passed when that fate would have been true and I…I don’t-” You cut him off by placing your fingers to his lips. His eyes finally look up into yours, a gentle smile gracing your lips. You brush the back of your hand across his chin, dipping them into the curls at the back of his head before leaning into him and pressing a kiss to his lips. Anakin melts into your touch, his fingers holding onto your knees.
“I love you.” He whispers when you pull away from him. You answer him by crashing your lips to his once more, the kiss is deeper, needer like you were breathing life back into him. Your mind swirled with nothing but him and his scent as he moved, bringing your bodies together and wrapping his arms around you. Anakin has wanted this for so long and so his body reacts to it almost instantly. His breath is shallow, and his hands wander your body, memorising your shape, each rise and fall of your flesh. It is all too intoxicating but you need to feel more of him against you and so you push at his robes, dropping the brown leather to the ground, discarding it along with his belt. His skin is hot and hard against your own, now far too clothed chest. It was Anakin’s turn to need more and he pulled back from you, silently asking for permission. You pull your top over your head, dropping it in the pile. Anakin swallowed the lump in his throat, as you took hold of his hand and brought it up to your chest. He runs his fingers over your breasts feeling the heat of your flesh under his palm before softly touching the scar on your stomach. Your fingers trace his own scare. Reminders of a day that broke both your hearts.
“You’re so beautiful.” He whispers.
“Only because I’m so in love.” You think.
“No it’s because I am so in love with you.”
“So love has blinded you?” The words feel familiar to you in some way, like a dream lost to waking. Anakin laughs, pulling you close to him once more.
“That's not what I meant.” He kisses you again
Outside the sun dropped below the horizon calling the night to take over. Stirrup lay on a bed in the medical centre they had created on one of the cruisers. The droid looked up at Obi-Wan.
“It would appear this clone still had his chip.” it explained. Obi-Wan pressed a hand over his mouth and hummed in response.
“We will need to check all the clones we have here. Commander Cody, Rex, have all the men report to you both, and keep them in quarters until we have had everyone checked.”
“Yes sir.” They replied in unison.
R2 beeped beside him.
“What is it?”
“If you don’t mind sir, R2 says there is an incoming transmission from Senator Amidala.” C3-PO translated.

They can be less subtle?
Ok, here is another funny one to make up for the more serious idea I had last.  So it is generally accepted that Padme and Anakin were not subtle about the relationship or marriage. That a full half the Jedi were involved with bets about their marriage and when Mace Windu would finally snap and throw him through a wall, screaming for Padme Amidala to come collect her husband. It is also generally accepted that they absolutely think they are being subtle, they think no one knows about their marriage.
Let’s take this to the ridiculous. Like they are 1000% less subtle then in anything resembling cannon. Their marriage is so well known that not even Sidious is using it against anyone. They are so far from subtle that even he is telling Anakin to come clean to the Jedi council (he may have placed some bets of his own, ok).
The field that they married in was private property, the large, popular park less than a click away was not.  Plus R2D2 put their marriage holos behind a paywall on the holonet, the little robot bought a small moon on what the Jedi paid alone (he was kind enough to send free copies to Obi Wan, Palpatine, Padme’s family, and Padme’s handmaidens).
Picture this, the setting is sometime mid war in one of the many lobbies of the senate building. Sheev Palpatine is staring across the narrow room, locked eyes with Jedi Master Obi Wan Kenobi. Five feet to the right, just inside of both their field of vision, in front of the Force, the cameras, and what felt like a third of the Senate, Anakin and Padme are reuniting from four days apart.  You would think they had been apart for four months (and Palpatine is a little disappointed with Padme, where was the discretion he had so painstakingly trained into her).
Next to Kenobi, Mace Windu has his head buried in his hands, almost bent over. Jedi Master Yoda is outright staring intensely at the couple (not in shock, but to see if they will notice). Kenobi and Palpatine have been staring at each other for eight minutes and there have already been 6 husband/wife mentions in voices that could have been heard a dozen layers down, 4 references to the supposedly secret wedding (they never noticed the large crowd watching from less than a click away), and no less than 20 separate giggling attempts to sush the other, claiming that no one could know. The Jedi have been approached by 16 different assorted beings who belonged at the Senate to ask them about the Amidala/Skywalker marriage, as well as how in love the couple seemed and more than half of those were physiologically incapable of perceiving human emotions.
And now they were cuddling, in public. Frankly it would seem less obscene if they were having sex right there. With every word Sheev could see Kenobi’s exasperation and exhaustion grow.
Anakin and Padme turned, at one point directly facing the three Jedi, and walked out of the building hand in hand.  Kenobi let out a sigh that seemed to have the weight of a temple.
Sheev made a mental note to himself, he really would have to do something nice for Kenobi before killing him.
