Visual Journey of Ronaldo as Companion on Jumpchain with an SI helping him reach new heights.

Most of these can be credited to months of work by the talents, economical service, and patience with the inarticulate (me) even across foreign language @rickleone

Who could always use more patrons this holiday season or just cash/Euro.

The last was a take from pixiv by Guillermo Principle or ぐちゅりむ原理主義 and then DALL-E prompt derived from an adult story with creeepy but fascinating visuals.

Starts mostly as per canon albeit 7 years older than last saw. Firmed up, and loaded weapons master style

References and Weapons

Shiva edge, Masamune, A Lange Messer, measures things and makes theremin music, cuts out 'invaders' ala Tenseiga or horse talisman,

His green sword gains Kodama like abilities and is called Soruimaru

Combined crescent apogee, a crescent blade that flies in or out of hand to attack, making up for initial poor swordsmanship or blade to tank situation.

Forgets to charge as to phone- though both from internal energies, primarily magic but can convert any to power held or touched device.

Klaive has a drop bear warspirit and wielding it can grant koala features plus muting and enhancing personal weight using it.

Combined with The Chinese WJQ-308 military shovel which can shikai into Ningishzida, a long braided ficus growing out leaves, that can be blades or as so inclined. either form heals and enhances mind and body with Hamon, Viva-Glitter, potato bola/meteor hammers that grow a sling out snares, calories or other things, can darken and gnarl emitting ,fatigue-poison inducing bioluminescence or leech energy making the darkest, savoriest apples of earth swell with the savor of life.

Shovel's Blade is removable to become infinitely foldable stand devices, that is chairs, music stands, and onward. The shovel is also a dowsing rod and with focus it enhances earth vibe senses

Pair of axes from house of the dead via a gate of imagination, unable to chop or cut things but amazing range of throw. They don't wear or suffer damage and block all firearms fire. Ralph blessed them so they do work in gaming and electronic spaces and can be sent in and out or even on any surface, such as Ronaldo’s skin as a crossed pair tattoo.

Ronaldo is tasked with making them real enough to do damage in real world or more than, in game, has expanded their applicability and effect in digital spaces and can call and send from them to and from such thanks to advancing practice.

Ronaldo has some of Coop's jotnar blood of chaos to solidify the phantom tools but needs to learn how. Collabs with Dr. Marco and Dumbledore to do it.

Wears anklets charms with spurs as much a part of his shoes or other foot wear with silver and black metal orbs-in-a- discus. they can help control friction, changing size and enchanting his soles to be comfortable and refreshed- even rejuvenate and heal - as stand in light not of world on (moonlight, starlight, sunlight, and satellite beams, but not spotlights or firelight or radioactive light unless from meteor)

Has complimentary charms on the wrist, one looking like a fancy man's watch which gives scope readings as adjusted with smartphone but does not tell time, he has a phone for that.

His white to yellowish latex belt with intervening raised pattern of weeping and other ficus leaves throughout with gall-makers prong in a ficus blossom that hitches into the belts tail to make a fig fruit cover buckle worthy of Sam Merlotte's own collection. He did provide for it, as his orphic self, as Ficus Belt, or Dryad Girdle Humbaba, at granting Ronaldo the title of their Cedalion. His role meant to sit on the shoulder of giants to guide, spot, and direct in glee to revelation.

His glasses are polarized and enhanced to protect eyes and highlight living or radiant energy in dark conditions or shield from glare conditions or flare or vision attacks. And he can do cool anime shots and poses too. Which he does.

He can even reshape the frames, hinges, temples, and lenses as if molding putty with his hands. A tap to the nosepiece can zoom and enhance, filter, and take pictures by making noises with his back teeth that appear on a phone or personal data storage he intends. If resizes his glasses to another’s face and places them on their face the item will adjust so the person can see-in-beyond-perfect vision, even rectifying any light eye ailments or conditions2.

The Humbaba Girdle. Can grow out to primarily ficus based growths but can integrate or become other plants related or sampled, along with producing critical pollinating animals, like fig wasps. He can command and communicate to these life forms, though needs to learn to understand their pov to perfect his leadership.

When the belt’s dryadic power is active, while surrounded by greenery, his own Hamon, awareness, reflexes, instincts, and agility are enhanced as if entering a state of unagi wa gichi-gami3.

He wears circles of fine silver charms, including discretes ones about forehead or in roots of his locks and cleft of shoulders and neck. With a secret magic phrase they can transform and connect like a silver scale shibari bind for similar enhancement of precision and agility

This can then grow into a silvery vaguely simian maille suit with a twinned ficus vine tail, making him resemble an arboreal beast, with elements of all creatures he likes.

He often wears a utility harness or kilt with limb enhancer’s extensions, also called digit-tools, tucked in

He can enter high gear mode when excited. His hair widens and grows out, teeth thicken, and his skin flushes red and his frame becomes stouter and primal. His hand feet-form. This mode is called akajagaimo. His body appears more akin to an orangutan or ape with a tuber tail with a stinger-end through which he inflicts or shares his state, though victims are usually more emotionally manic or desperate.

If tail takes root can grow tuber and "Ronaldo fruit4" in target.

Aside from ape body appearance, more swells and fills with special organs his body needs to work for the presentation he chooses. He can grow forms of potato meteor hammers, bola, etc from his joints. May produce vines/roots from his body. He can pop potato eyes that can ocularly function but often grow to tubers about as sensitive as fingers and with all senses in one. Each acts as a buffer or workaround if a sense is overwhelmed, though it is harder to see with 'eyes' extended.

Middle development on chain; he gains a variant of Kevin Greene's Primal powers. He can grant a use of them to living or organic not petrified in full subjects with touch but needs tune them and focus and pour out the slime produced by himself into the target

Stand: Secret Agent Man.

Resembles a camera that upgrades off other cameras and recording devices. Semi independent and bonded. Global range but object, so cannot be dismissed or completely unseen and increased suffering, if it is hurt, he is hurt. If SAM is active and seen by a person he or she will connect them with Ronaldo or at least recognize and think of one with the other.

No obfuscation deceives or blocks the glare of his camera. But when keep secret what so obtained cannot be deceived or misrepresented

Can psychically record events without bias or projection into memory, even reexamine the flash of time as if there. Eventually can share experiences and include non-visual senses. Though Ronaldo knew how to read lips and guess temperature and other such before being initiated into jumpchain.

End state:

Master of Gantz and Adventors tech by himself apart from Jumper's own developments in Gantz

Has a large mecha that with ficus wood "bones" with leaf headhelm, and one eye behind facial opening, with streamers, flags, banners of his flame shirt in the creases of the vehicle's bells and plates. It has Saturn balls for feet,unless standing still, to roll about any ( even a tar, wall, or water) surface, skating as easily as birds sing.

His Masterpiece is the

Arboretum of Primal Essence. A metal clothing tree1. (This Design is borrowed from drone visuals and ideas.) Made to produce biobooster Armor and living latex and Gantz tech or suits and similar devices.

He can design in a personal digital/conceptual space and then quantum fax a platonic or at least ideal weapon to Real World with Gantz and other tech he’s made from personal study and learning and tinkering.

1 Meant to evoke imagination. What is Ronaldo fruit? What means to be injected with it or have grown in you?

An enigma. That's what the words that have been etched and sketched onto your wrist in a never fading ink since before a day you could remember are. An enigma, a mystery, a puzzle that lately you feel like you're never going to solve because every two steps forward, each has four steps back.

Every Christmas it's the same, and this Christmas is no different. The same question on the ever-demanding presence (or lack thereof) for the person who will supposedly unlock all the answers of the universe because... well, because someone told you it will?

It seems like a scam, a trap, a ploy at buying people out of the joy in their lives when they're too scared to have a fling or two because of their soulmate- because of a couple of words on their wrist. Maybe it's some monster that feeds and sucks the life out of people and gets a good chuckle out of seeing their love waste away, unspent and longing.

Although you tried to hide it, it was rather disappointing seeing people find their soulmates during various stages in their lives, and yet not you. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. That was the saying, wasn't it? It made you feel a bit better when the anomaly of having no soulmate occurred a few years back. Though, sometimes in your darker moments, you scratch at the letters like a lottery ticket, thinking it'd be easier and less stressful to not have one at all.

It wasn't that you have had a bad run-in or conflict with soulmates or anything absolutely terrific, it was just the idea and the loneliness that came with it. And that always circles back around to the question your relatives ask every holiday expecting an answer they wouldn't receive: have you found your soulmate yet, y/n?

There's something about the first snowfall of the year that feels magical and otherwordly. The sheet of snow that covers every bare inch feeling and looking almost heavenly before it crunches beneath your feet. Admittedly, you weren't expecting to be out in the freezing cold with said snow seeping into your socks and through your boots because you left something at home. The bus stop was quite a bit aways, now and you've started considering walking the whole way to your parents' house a possibility (or even running if it weren't for the fact you'd faceplant and probably grow ice cycles from your nose), but the flakes falling darken the sky.

You weren't exactly fond of going anymore when it left pits of anxiety in your stomach for several reasons. You know that when you get there the sweet compliments and reassurances from your family will quell the storms that swirl up in your abdomen and suffocate your chest.

It's your fault anyway, you should have left earlier to escape the biting chill. By now the sky is painted a lavender blue-ish color, a cool palette rolling in after the warmth of the sunset. You've stuffed your mitten gloved hands into your pockets, shuffling even further until you make it to the station, the concrete below the awning-covered in a thin layer of ice.

There are more people than you expected, honestly, filling up the platform on Christmas day. You'd halfway expected everyone but you to be cozy at home and bundled in front of heaters, foolishly you think that maybe you can use it as your advantage as to why you're so late.

Eventually, after what seems like forever, the bus rolls around and people clamber in, paying their tokens and cards at the double doors. You go fishing out some change to pay, when someone behind you speaks up, "Better hurry or Jack Frost is gonna bite our noses." The voice is forcefully cheerful and kind for such a subtle dig and you roll your eyes before tokening the change and making your way further in.

A load of the seats is taken, overly crowded and you find yourself thankful you got here before they told everyone to wait for a second bus. Luckily for you, the lady from behind you is where that line starts.

"Man, lucky you. You were the last person able to get on."

"Hm?" You turn around, stumbling a bit but quickly finding footing before you land on the stranger in front of you, "I'm sorry, are you talking to me?"

The young man, who looks around your age, hesitates with his mouth forming a small 'o' shape. You can't help but admire his eyes, blinking when you notice them trained on something. Following his gaze, you stop at your wrist.

Man, lucky you.

"Oh."

A chuckle comes from his chest and he stands, gesturing towards his seat so his tall stature can grab the handle above.

"You know, I wasn't really looking to find my soulmate today, but whatever," He smirks down at you, nodding his head in greeting, "Suna, nice to meet you."

To say that you were the talk of the town—that being the school you were now hired to work at— was no exaggeration.

“Ah, so (Y/N)’s your teacher now? Lucky…!” was the common phrase spoken among students, and your name floated between conversations, laughs, and whispers. People adored you—they loved you—for your bright smile, the stars in your eyes, and the way your laugh fills the room with music. To most, you were a sort of idol in the eyes of boys and girls alike.

However, there was one particular teacher that didn’t exactly hold a soft spot for you.

“Good morning, Aizawa-san,” you greeted him one cold December morning. A big grin rested on your face, though he didn’t share the same sentiment. He greeted you as well, but turned away to work on whatever sat impatiently on his desk. Maybe he was writing a complaint letter to move your desk away from his in the teacher’s office.

“How’s your class doing?” you asked. Your arms were folded across your desk, covering whatever work you had to do yourself.

“They’re fine,” he said promptly. “Don’t you have work to do?”

You laughed bashfully, looking down to resume your work. Aizawa turned up to look at you. Maybe if he used his quirk on you, he could erase whatever spell-inducing, laughter-creating quirk you constantly used.

Though, he realized, he didn’t even know what kind of quirk you had. In fact, there was close to nothing he knew about you. Despite all that positivity you radiated, you never spoke a single word about yourself. You were mysterious…

...but he wanted to know more about you, so when you told him that there was this one teacher—whose name you didn’t even know—invited the rest of the staff for an informal Christmas dinner, who was he to say no?

So, he finds himself a week later sitting between you and Hizashi (who was in fact the invitee of the dinner) as your laughter rang in his ears, the result of Nemuri’s somehow-hilariously intriguing story. It’s not far from the truth to say that he was entranced by the sound of you, as he’s a very hard person to please. Slowly but surely, though, he falls under your spell.

Later, when everyone’s dispersed around the house, he’s sitting next to you on the couch. You’re a little stiff, despite warming up to everyone else, but he gets it—you’re still new to the atmosphere, and there’s still discomfort lodged in your chest, so he’s doing his best to keep you company.

“Ah, so—”

“This party was really fun,” you interject. “Or, uh, dinner, I mean. I don’t know, I think everyone’s out in a different room playing a game.”

A pause.

“Aren’t you going to join them, Aizawa-san?”

He tells you, “Maybe, I don’t think so.” So you’re finally revealing your true colors to him—underneath all that radiance, you’re still shy, but you choose not to show it. He does his best to suppress the soft feeling bubbling in his chest.

Though, there’s still so much for him to learn about you. He hopes that slowly, in time, you’ll come to recognize that longing look that glosses for only a second across his eyes and realize that he’s there to look into you further, find out everything about you…

… Because to him, you’re orphic. You’re mysterious, entrancing, and you’re all that he wants to know about.

A large amount of that is Rosalía, of course, who starts off the vocals here so compellingly that on first listen I wouldn't have been disappointed if Blake had stuck to production (done with Mount Kimbie's Dominic Maker, it's colourful, woozy, vivid). Instead his own more diffident tones wind up entwining with hers in a way that perfectly suits the narrative about a transcendent experience, romantic or otherwise. It's so immediately and repeatedly compelling I started looking for every other song from Assume Form I could find, but nothing works quite like this. [10]

Abdullah Siddiqui: The production is impeccably nuanced, the melody is Orphic, and James Blake singing in Spanish makes me feel like Diane Keaton in Something's Gotta Give. [9]

Thomas Inskeep: This would be a lot better if Blake would stick to production and not sing. Though his production here is only so-so. [5]

Will Adams: The combination of Rosalía's nimble, precise vocal with James Blake's marble-mouthed drawl makes "Barefoot in the Park" a confusing listen. No matter how appealingly the track flutters, the two sound completely disconnected from each other. [5]

Katherine St Asaph: As exhausted as I am with the music industry's compulsion to overexpose its breakout stars via out-of-character guest spots in every genre and context but the one where they were great, the idea of a James Blake-produced Rosalía single isn't bad at all. Unfortunately, this is a James Blake single with Rosalía on it, performed with James Blake levels of liveliness and vim. The tiny, one-decimal-from-mumbling voice both singers are forced into is quite possibly James Blake's vocal ceiling. But if it isn't Rosalia's vocal floor, it's far closer than she should be; one iota more of energy and she'd completely dominate the track. So many duets (with some exceptions), from indie to pop to R&B to country, have this flattening effect. Why must she be brought down to his level, instead of him brought up to hers? [5]

Joshua Minsoo Kim: Some of the most interesting production that Blake's done in a while, only to be ruined by his frog croak of a voice. And yet, the bigger issue is how it all sort of meanders with no clear goal. Blake used to tastefully utilize silence in his work. Nowadays, he could use more than a little restraint. Rosalía is fine but she's treated as an extension of Blake's own self-indulgence. [3]

Jacob Sujin Kuppermann: I'm still mostly unsure what James Blake is doing on any given James Blake song, but even as he begins to drag Rosalía into a ballad-y morass she lifts up the material on "Barefoot in the Park" to a point where it makes Blake almost seem charming. [6]

Fandoms: FFVII and Kiseki, and I keep meaning to write more for Kiseki

Two-shot: I only have one and that's It's Over, Be Still which is about Aeris killing Sephiroth and is mainly a venue for pretentious vibes and spite. I don't know why any other human but me would like it.

I turned it into a two-shot after discovering the root word for "Cetra" is a type of lyre, tripping down a Wikipedia hole about Orphic cults, and getting pissed again about somebody saying Aeris could Fix Sephiroth With Her Boundless Wells Of Compassion. I'll probably add another chapter the next time I get really annoyed about it.

Most popular multichapter: Wars Waged In Us, my only real multi-chapter.

Actual worst part of writing: Putting the words... onto the page. Just actually doing the writing. It's a challenge, getting started is really hard, and usually by the time I'm ready to actually write a scene I've "solved" it in my head already and I want to move on to something else. Still I write sequentially for some reason.

How you choose your titles: I usually decide on them after I've already written the piece. I'll often start with song lyrics for working titles and then revise to pick up something that's more in line with the content of the chapter/work. Wars Waged In Us is a tweaked lyric from Shelby Merry's When the Darkness Comes - a very AeriSeph song that ironically doesn't have much to do with the fic at all.

Do you outline: Yes for most things. Wars has a massive story bible. I outline most things. The stuff I always call Pretentious Vibes I just sit down and slam out though. It's fun to do that, too.

Ideas I probably won’t get around to, but wouldn’t it be nice?: I plan to get to at least a couple of these but:

A Randy/Sara fic supposing they've known each other and lived in the same strange world since they were kids. Criminal that these two didn't have more of a relationship in canon and I intend to correct that.

Fresh off of his Post-CSII Big Life Changes, Gauis meets Kloe in the Grancel Cathedral when Sieg and Zeo perch together in the rafters. He shares some of his misgivings about home and responsibility and takes heart from the conversation. They only discover each other's identities after the fact.

Something for Wazy, something for Loewe, something for Estelle and something for Aurelia, just because they all deserve it ♥

Aeris SOLDIER AU fic. It's funny that all my friends have written more for this AU than I have. I'm not sure what my take would be - probably focused on how alien she is in this world. I cherry-picked several ideas from it for the intro to Wars, but I'd still like to go back to it. Probably the central plot would be about Aeris searching for her mother, who successfully escaped the Shinra building but had to leave her behind.

Wars outtake in which during their first inn stay, Aeris catches Sephiroth doing his eyeliner and is disillusioned that the lewk wasn't natural
