Eddie, visibly nervous: Buck and I don’t use pet names.
Bobby: I see. Hey, how do you say ‘my love’ in spanish?
Eddie: Mi amor?
Buck: Yes, sweetie?
Eddie:
Bobby: Don’t lie to my face ever again.

Bobby: Evan Laurent "Buck" Buckley Grant-Nash. Buck: What'd I do?! What did I do?!?! Harry: Oooh, he full named you! Maddie: Harry, please. This could be serious. May: Yeah, serious enough to bring out the popcorn. Bobby, grimly: There's a little rumor going on about you and my quarterback. Care to explain? Buck: ...Yeah, Eddie asked me out. Everyone: *gasps* Buck, defiantly: And I said yes! Bobby: No, you didn't! You take that back! Athena, sipping coffee: It's about damn time.

Hey there, I'm a new follower. Just wanted to say I love your writing and, if you're still accepting them, I'd love to make a request.
I was thinking a Buck fic where reder is Bobby's daughter so ✨️DRAMA✨️and after a particularly steamy night together reader shows up with rope burn and bruises etc all over. Bobby ofc freaks out but the rest of the crew get the gist when Buck shows up with scratches down his back etc....
Probably not the best description I could have given but yeah... that's my overactive brain for ya 🌻

Father’s Approval

Tumblr media
Warnings: allusions to sex, very slight angst
Summary; You and Buck have been dating for a while now, without your father, Captain Bobby Nash’s knowledge. And one day, the odds aren’t in your favour, and Bobby finds out about Buck and you.
wordcount: 1.4k
Tumblr media
Your morning was lovely so far, you woke up in a comfy bed, you had hot coffee already waiting for you when you woke up, and during your shower with Buck before you left, you used shampoo that made your hair surprisingly soft, it was a new part of your daily life. Another new part of your daily life, was Buck.
You'd known Buck almost four years, worked with him for two, and had been dating him for just over two months. You both quickly agreed to keep it under wraps for now, with you both being under the nose of your father, your fire captain, Bobby. Your dad loved you, more than words could ever begin to explain. He was however, overprotective to an overwhelming extent. You understood it, of course you did, he was always full of love and admiration for you, and always very protective, but especially since losing your younger brother and sister.
One of the many, many things you admired about Buck was his respect for your dad. You know he was just as nervous as you about upsetting your father with your new relationship. So you decided together that it would be best if nobody knew. Except Eddie, Eddie knew, but there wasn't much he didn't know about Buck so you weren't surprised.
You couldn't stop smiling when you were with Buck, even now, when you were by yourself in your car, you were smiling from the memory of Buck. You left his apartment in your car to go to the station, and he'd leave in his jeep a bit later, you guys weren't taking any chances getting caught.
Buck's apartment was significantly closer to the station than yours was, you liked it, you got to leave a fair bit later and the drive wasn't very long. It was only a few minutes before you were parked at the station, about to head inside. You quickly peaked into your rear view mirror, making sure your hair hid the marks that you couldn't really hide with makeup.
Usually, you and Buck made sure not to leave marks on each other, but last night you were both so hot and needy for one another, and it was a rough night, in the best way possible. You pulled your shirt sleeves further down your wrists to make sure the marks on them were hidden, then you finally went inside.
Everyone was upstairs, your dad at the kitchenette, Eddie, Hen, Chim, and Ravi all sitting at the table, coffees scattered around.
You sat down next to Hen, craning your neck to look back at her as she greeted you with a warm smile before her eyebrows narrowed.
"Y/n? What's wrong with your neck?" Your dad questioned you. It took you all of two minutes to get found out. You could feel your cheeks burning, you glanced at Eddie who seemed torn between staring at you and avoiding eye contact.
With a smile, you looked back at your dad. "It's nothing dad, no need to worry." You kept it short, sweet and simple. He left it alone, thankfully, but obviously there was some new tension, he was suspicious of you, you knew.
A few minutes passed, some of the tense energy dissipated in the room, but you blew it, again. Your sleeve rolled up when you reached for your coffee, Hen noticed it immediately, gasping before humming, immediately understanding. Unfortunately for you, it alerted your captain, who immediately gasped himself.
"Who's doing this? Is someone hurting you? Can-", Your father immediately began before Hen cut him off.
"Bobby- everything's alright! She's just, having some good time with a friend of her's... a male friend." She saved you, Eddie snickered softly and you wanted to throw something at him.
"You have a boyfriend? Why didn't you tell me?" You couldn't look him in the eyes, he looked so dejected like you knew he would.
“Well, I just wasn’t ready to talk about it y’know?” Your voice shook slightly. You felt so anxious, in this situation you were risking your relationship with your dad, as well as Buck’s relationship with him. You wondered how this would affect your relationship with Buck.
“Okay, well. You know you can talk to me. When you’re ready.” Bobby smiled, his cheek twitched which gave away how awkward he felt. Still, you were grateful that he was giving you your space, and giving you the respect you desired.
You smiled and nodded, looking down at the table and prayed that nobody could see the blush on your face or tell how anxious you were feeling. You almost spared a glance at Eddie, but you were confident that he was already looking at you holding his laughter.
Footsteps up the stairs distract you from this, you are grateful for the attention to be elsewhere, but then immediately you were anxious once you realize it was Buck.
Everything seemingly went back to normal, Buck dropped his bag on the counter, grabbed some food from the kitchen and took a seat next to Eddie, your dad handed him a cup of coffee, and he took it gratefully. However, it seemed like everything was working against you both. They fumbled along the way and hot coffee got spilled over Buck’s, arm and chest.
First, you were worried about him getting burnt, then you wanted to help him clean the mess. But instead, Buck just pulled off his shirt.
“Always be prepared, right?” Buck smirked and turned around to his bag, presumably to grab a shirt, but what he accomplished was revealing the scratch marks you’d left along his back, as well as the hickeys below his collarbone.
You felt like you were going to throw up, first you look at your dad he was just rolling his eyes, buck was a player. Of course he’d have scratch marks on his back. Then you looked at Eddie whose face was just as red as yours only from holding in laughter.
“Oh! It’s Buck! Buck’s your new boyfriend!” Ravi exclaimed, everyone’s eyes were on you, including your boyfriend and your father. He looked at Buck and then back at you.
“Please see me in my office.” You couldn’t read Bobby’s tone, he went for the stairs, you and Buck didn’t waste any time going after him.
The energy in his office was tense. He was at his desk while you and Buck sat in front of him. He was looking at you both, you couldn’t tell if he wanted one of you to speak before he did or not.
“Captain I-” Buck couldn’t get two words in before your dad cut him off.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” He asked his arms were leaning against his table, he looks like he wanted to stand up, but held back. “ why didn’t you think you could tell me?”
“Dad I’m sorry, we wanted to. We just weren’t sure if it was the right idea right now. I didn’t wanna make you upset, and I know there’s some rules about fraternizing with coworkers, we were just trying to play it safe.” Your mouth was going a mile a minute you were sure that you were visibly anxious, Buck reached over and grabbed your wrist with his hand, holding it gently gliding his thumb against your skin.
“Bobby I really care about your daughter. Honestly she she means the world to me I don’t wanna cross any boundaries but I really enjoy being with her and I would never hurt her or anything like that I promise” Buck swore, his grasp on your wrist tightening just slightly.
“Buck. I know you’re not going to hurt her. I know you’re going to treat her the way she deserves. I’m not mad at you for being in a relationship. If anything Y/n I wouldn’t want anyone less than Buck for you.” Bobby shook his head. “ I’m just sorry that you both felt like you had to hide it from me. You’re my daughter and I love you. Buck, you’re like a son to me. I love you too. If you want my approval you have it, please just know you don’t have to hide that from me.”
“Thank you, dad, really. I’m sorry we didn’t come to you before we were just- I don’t know, nervous.” You smiled softly at your dad, leaning your head towards Buck slightly.
It was comfortable in the room for a moment, your dad looked at Buck again. “Buckley if you ever leave a mark on my daughter again I will knock your teeth out.”
“Yes sir.” Buck’s reply was immediate, and you smiled slightly, knowing there would definitely be more marks in the future.

the mortifying ordeal of being known
By: Polish_Amber
Fandom: 9-1-1 (TV)
Relationship: Evan "Buck" Buckley / Eddie Diaz
Summary:
The thing was, the 118 was full of gossips.
Eddie had been at the station less than a week before Hen and Chim wrangled details about his “hot young thing” from him (“Buck is only 4 years younger than me, he is not a ‘hot young thing’!” Eddie complained.)
And Bobby was open about his worries for his son’s lack of direction and the secrets he appears to be keeping (“I just wish I could help Evan find the thing that gives him purpose,” Bobby lamented.)
It just made it all the more ridiculous (and horrifying) when Eddie realizes he’s been dating his Captain’s son this whole time (“Defiling his baby,” Chimney cackled, because he clearly wanted Eddie murdered.)
--
Or, the AU where miscommunication abounds as Eddie seeks advice about his new relationship, Bobby despairs over his adopted son's career prospects and his refusal to talk about it, and Evan Buckley-Nash juggles training at the fire academy, building a family with his new boyfriend, and trying to work out how to tell his overprotective dad that he's already chosen the life he wants, actually.
It takes a goddamn tsunami, of all things, to get the story straight.

Happy 1st anniversary to the mortifying ordeal of being known!
The little random fic that popped into my head one day and I thought it could be a fun little fic, maybe 10, max 20k and then it became a 60k monster which turned into a ~300k epic series 😅
At the time, it was the longest thing I'd ever written and I am so grateful that it showed me what I was capable of and introduced me to so many brilliant and supportive readers who encouraged me to keep going 💖 I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has read, kudos'ed, commented, and recced this fic/universe. You're all incredible.
I had every intention of posting a small installment from this universe to celebrate but, uh, in true mortifying ordeal fashion the word count has blown out on me (currently sitting at 12k...) I'll post a snippet here later instead and the new aim is to get it out before the anniversary of the fic being finished!
For now, an official fic post for the story that started it all 💙

On Bobby, Buck & Blood Thinners
I'm 99% sure that after the ER incident, and maybe one time when Buck accidentally cuts himself trying to make dinner at the station, Bobby institutes a new rule at the 118 that for as long as Buck is on blood thinners no one is allowed to begin a sentence with "Buck cut himself" or "Buck's bleeding", because he would like to stop having a mini heart attack every time he finds out his accident-magnet son gets hurt
he'd like to live to a reasonably old age with his wife, thank you very much
I mean, do you see the look on his face - the panic hidden behind "someone I love is hurt and I need to get to them *now*"? This is Bobby on a mission to save his kid and I am HERE FOR IT

BOBBY NASH
Life as Cap's Daughter
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Requested: yes
Author's note: I got a little carried away, but I wanted to DELIVER FROM POINT A (LOWEST) TO POINT B (BEST) PART OF HIS LIFE. Kept it realistic as possible plus it’s very long SO BEWARE
P.S. you can kind of see how my love for the man just SPILLED ... aka I kind of lost it and just hammered the numbers. It shows how unexperienced I am at these <3
Requests for 9-1-1 are OPEN
Headcanon
Bobby had you before Marcy and Athena were a part of his life
You were his little everything
The food he fed you growing up…
You would tell people that your dad's a chef, and not a firefighter
You thought a chef was a better job! You were four…
With your mom out of the picture it was just you and your dad for a big part of your childhood
He baby proofed the entire house
Balled his eyes out when he walked you to school for the very first time
When he met Marcy you were roughly around 8, but the two of you got along very well right off the bat
Even though he's a quiet, withdrawn man that likes to keep to himself, you were the one who brought out his witty side
He was very proud when you showed an interest in ice skating, it quickly became 'your thing' and Bobby loved that you inherited that from him
He's at all of your performances!
He catches you every time no matter the situation
You loved Robert Jr. and Brook very much too, considering them your siblings without a doubt
You helped change their diapers, practically raised them with Marcy and your dad
Family dinners with Bobby's marvelous cooking – a must!
Bobby was very overprotective when you entered your teen years so thank god for Marcy (she was a saint)
He'd invite your date over and drill him while eating the nicest foods he prepared with extra caution
"Dad, that was a bit too much…"
"You think? I didn't even get to scratch the surface."
"Okay, honey, let her go have fun."
Marcy and the kids were there for you when your dad started to go south because of his injury
"Dad where are you going?"
"I'll be back soon. Don't worry about me."
For a moment you considered if life with him was even worth it
Wanting to finish high school as soon as possible just so you could get away from his lies was your darkest thought
But he is your father, and no one could change that
The fire though... It was the most heartbreaking moment of your life
You were out, so you weren't on the scene
But you wished you were at some point
You couldn't look at him after that
Went through the roughest time of your life
It felt like you jumped through time because you two were alone again
But that made you treasure each other more than anything
You watched him at his lowest and supported him when he started to get better
"Dad, please don't give up."
I don't think Bobby would be able to get through the trauma if it weren't for you
Not even his notebook was enough to keep him together – you were the glue
That's why making a fresh start in L.A. felt great
You two settled quickly; you giving in more effort than he did at first
Because you're smart like your father you got into a very very very good college in L.A.
"At least something's working out for once."
"Hey don't say that."
"But dad... It's true!"
When he told you, he was in station 118 you stalked researched them
Found out the address, looked at the place from outside using Google Street View
That kinda thing
"But dad. I'm just looking out for you!"
"I know. Thank you for that."
There's a lot of buts
But dad this but daaaad that
You're very annoying when you want to be
The two of you lived together, since you didn't trust him enough to move out and live on campus
He didn't bring you to the firehouse until he was 100% sure
No scratch that: until he was 100000% sure, you weren't stepping foot on the grounds of that station
When you did meet them, you loved Hen instantly
You wanted to come back just for her
Chimney was a bit awkward
He didn't know how to act around you
You were 18 but since you were Cap's daughter he didn't know if he had to treat you like you were 8 or not
Hen didn't have that problem obviously
She was so easy going you loved her instantly
Bobby has eyes everywhere when you're at the station
MEETING BUCK WAS HORRIBLE
Your dad was breathing down on your neck when you came to the firehouse one day and Buck 1.0 was working there (just started)
HE HIT ON YOU IT WAS HORRIBLE YOU DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO
Neither did he once he found out
That was the day Bobby fired him bc he did the nasty with that lady in the firetruck
You came by like, "Hi, I'm Y/N nice to meet you Evan."
And then suddenly you had to go like, "Bye Ev- Buck… It was nice knowing you."
Buck went home that day – pride demolished
"Did you really have to do that dad?"
"I said three strikes, and he's out. He didn't listen."
Why didn't you come earlier? Surely you could have given Buck some great tips
"Oh, well."
Buck came back!
You became friends after that. Had a teasing relationship, never looked at each other the other way after that day
Y/N + Buck = BFF
You'd joke about your first tragic meeting and you’d go out with him when he was going through a dark time because of Abby
You didn’t drink, he did
Everyone loves you OBVIOUSLY
You're Cap's daughter I MEAN WHAT IS THERE TO SAY?
Eddie came too! Eventually.
You fell in love with him instantly
But you love his son even more than him
You'd take care of him whenever you had time and Eddie was busy working
You learned more facts about the world from little Christopher than from your own father
You often came by to eat lunch at the station because that's where your dad ‘the cook’ was
Maddie and you hit it off very well and became close friends
NOW MEETING ATHENA FOR THE FIRST TIME…
Your mouth was on the floor
She was so goddess like you were smitten by her
So, your dad and her announcing their relationship to you wasn't a surprise
You and Hen won the bet
Became close with May and Harry too although it was hard not to picture them as Brook and Robert at first
After your dad and Athena got married you finally felt as if you could breathe
Knowing that your dad was safe and sound, you moved over to campus but still had your own room at Athena's place
You go there every weekend
You're essential to the party planning
Even though you're a perfect little young adult you're ready to pull out the "My step-mom's a sergeant" card
A huge party was thrown for your 21st birthday
I'm talking BIG BIG BIG
Buck and you got drunk
Your dad got drunk too
Life turned around for the better although some pieces of past tragedies still lingered
You've let go of people but you and your dad also grew and healed enough to let new people into your lives
No one knows what life has in store for you two, but you both know it will be good
As long as you have each other
He's your pillar, and you are his in return, that's how it's always been
"I love you dad."
"I love you too kiddo."

Athena and Bobby being Bucks Parents fics
Tumblr media
Make you Mine
That despite the jokes, the teasing and the countless times he had been mistaken as part of their family, Buck wasn’t their son. And as much as he wanted Bobby and Athena to walk with him down the aisle after Eddie and his parents, part of him feared they wouldn’t want to place that claim on him. Or. Five times someone referred to Buck as Bobby and Athena's son and the one time they said it themselves
queen
Christopher gives Athena a gift. She cherishes it.
The Five Times Buck Called Athena Mom (And The One Time She Called Him Her Own)
Athena walked into the firehouse, carrying a box of cookies for the team to share. She approached the stairs and Buck caught sight of her first. "Mom!" He shouted out and Athena smiled, handing the box to her husband and kissing his cheek. Buck bounced up to her and hugs her tightly. OR: The five times Buck called Athena mom and the one time she called him her own son.
Make It Three
It takes him twenty full minutes to realize what he has said, and then it hits him like a goddamn freight train. Oh no. Oh no. Buck just hung up the phone on Athena Grant telling her that he loved her like he’s been doing it every day of his life. Oh no. Or. Buck slips up and tells Athena he loves her. He has a bit of a freak out.
i found love where it wasn't supposed to be
Eddie makes some assumptions when he joins the 118, he'd like the record to show he's not entirely wrong.
the mortifying ordeal of being known
the AU where miscommunication abounds as Eddie seeks advice about his new relationship, Bobby despairs over his adopted son's career prospects and his refusal to talk about it, and Evan Buckley-Nash juggles training at the fire academy, building a family with his new boyfriend, and trying to work out how to tell his overprotective dad that he's already chosen the life he wants, actually. It takes a goddamn tsunami, of all things, to get the story straight.
it's a hell of a ride (loving you)
Athena and Bobby both give Eddie a shovel talk, and Eddie realizes his future in-laws are very intimidating
Like Father, Like Son
Buck tries on one of his dad's uniform shirts, then watches as his son tries on one of his own shirts ten years later.
Foster dad Bobby
He stops in front of the door when he hears noises. Quietly, he opens the door and his eyes widen. Behind his desk, a little boy with golden curls is standing at his office chair. Eighteen months old at the most. Bobby stops and watches him…..
Nothing to Forget
Buck never wanted to admit it to anyone- not even Eddie or Maddie, because he knew he would come off as a jerk, but he was always a tad bit jealous of May and Harry for how dotting Bobby was with them, how Bobby saw them as his kids.
Our Frayed Edges
It all begins here in Winter, 1996. Left in the streets of LA, a blue-eyed boy finds his home. This is his story, his life, what he learns and who he grows up to be. And all it took was a little love.
‘cause i need to know
Eddie wants to marry Buck. Whatever he's asking Bobby for, it's definitely not permission.
this is a place where I feel at home
After watching parents mourn the loss of their children, the 118 go to check up on their children. And Bobby... he's staring at Buck, and Buck is confused.
ain't nobody got a mom like mine
Buck gives Athena a gift on Mother's Day.
let us be your home
After hearing about his brother, Buck needs to go. But he doesn't want to go home. He goes to the people who feel like his real family instead
Fatherly Love Revamped
Bobby cuts the labels off Bucks clothes
Hyperthymesia
Buck is caught dealing cookies to the B-Shift team by Bobby and Athena, but when Athena learns they are from her great-grandmother's recipe, Buck is grilled on how he gained access to the top-secret recipe and secrets are revealed.
Request Denied
Bobby just wants to stay in his office and tackle the mountain of paperwork on his desk, but Buck needs his help.
Loved you yesterday, love you still, always have, always will
Bobby starts saying 'I love you' to Buck.
Grandpa Bobby
When Buck and Eddie help Maddie move into her new apartment, Christopher gets to spend the day with Bobby. The two bond over food and games, and eventually end up talking about serious things.
A Hobby Of Card-Making
Buck has a problem, and it's not the exorbitant amount of cards he's made for Bobby and Athena. No, it's that he's decided to hide the cards instead of gift them to the ones he made them for. Chris says, the secrets end now.
taking care of you is all I've ever wanted
While the 118 has temporarily parted due to family things, it's just Buck and Bobby at the station for the week. Buck can't afford to be sick right now... Except he gets the flu. But rest assured, Bobby and Athena take good care of their son figure.
don’t find it, make it
Buck doesn’t know real family until he’s seven. But he learned to make it as he gets older.
A Love Worth Asking For
Eddie fidgets with the small cube in his pocket as he waits on the doorstep. He’s memorized how it feels in his hand with how many times he’s picked it up, turned it around in his hand, and stowed it away again. It’s a relatively small box with a logo emblazoned into the velvet and curved around the edges. There’s something comforting about its presence but also intimidating. He’s turned over every possibility in his head, yet still feels ill-prepared. His tia says that’s normal. She’s the only one he trusts with this outside of his son. Until now, he thinks as the door to the cozy two-story home swings open.

(Ignore me if I’m bothering you lol)
Here is my HC/ what I would like to happen w the Buck/May relationship.
So we know that Buck is good w kids and that when Buck entered the Grant kids lives, May wasn’t in a good place. And May was a teenager and didn’t want to be grouped in w the little boys probably. Idon’t think the two are close yet but I think(hope) we’ll see them get closer as the seasons progress until they have a sibling relationship. This also ties into my hope that the Buck/Bobby relationship will keep progressing
I just think Buck would make a good big brother and May maybe needs one 🤷‍♀️
I wasn't sure if I should reply to this or not because I don't want to, like, shit on your headcanon but I figure you wouldn't have come into my inbox to talk about a single tag on a single post if you didn't want my opinion so??? Idk. Here's my thoughts on fandom's weird "Buck is a Grant sibling" thing, I guess:
I am personally uncomfortable with/dislike the tendency in this fandom to say found family = an exact recreation of a nuclear family. I don't think the logical end point of "Bobby and Buck have a (pretty toxic) father/son relationship" is "Athena is Buck's mom" and "Buck is an older brother to the Grant siblings." First, we have no evidence of that in canon. Second, I don't think it makes sense for the characters and relationships to interpret that as something that's happening off screen.
I don't get the vibe that Athena is Buck's mother figure. Their relationship has come a long way! She displays maternal instincts toward him! But she does that toward many of the characters, and we don't see them interact much outside of "Buck is doing something dumb or risky & Athena is helping him do it more safely or cleaning up the mess." It's very much an exasperated, dealing with her husband's mess of a mentee type of fondness, not an adoptive mothering relationship. Also, and this is said with love for Buck and his clear mental health issues/neurodivergence, in what universe would Athena, overprotective mama, want her emotionally vulnerable daughter to spend a lot of time with/be mentored by a reckless & historically womanizing man ten years her senior who is barely keeping a handle on his own life most of the time? That's not a relationship I see Athena encouraging, and it's honestly not one I see adding a whole lot of value to May's life or even being one that Buck would be particularly interested in (especially because being good with the under ten set =/= having any idea how to help a teenage girl struggling with her mental health. I think he's way more likely to interact w/ Harry when he goes to dinner at the Grant-Nash house).
More importantly, I think my problem with fics that center Buck in May's life is that they feel similar to the fics that center Buck in Christopher's life to the point of portraying him as more important than Eddie, Chris' Actual Dad. May has a big, loving family. She has an ACTUAL BROTHER who, while younger than her, shares her family trauma and was right there for all of her struggles. She has a loving and involved mom, dad, step-dad, and dad's boyfriend. If she's looking for adult mentorship, she has adult coworkers who she spent a bunch of time developing on screen relationships with last season! Josh & Maddie have both had traumatic experiences and mental health issues that could help them understand & support May. (Give me Josh & May friendship, Josh being her gay mentor, even Josh filling that older brother role - I think that makes way more sense than Buck doing so in canon, tbh.)
I love Buck. He's my favorite character. I project my shit onto him. But I remain really uncomfy with shoehorning him into families of color at the expense of actually acknowledging the importance of those families and the ways they support each other. It's very white saviory and in this case it has zero canon backing to even give it a jumping off point.
tl;dr I don't think Buck is on a trajectory to be an older brother to the Grant kids, I don't think he should be, and I don't think he'd be a super great big brother fixing all of May's problems even if he was. Make May a lesbian and gimme May & Josh bonding instead.

Buck: Fight me.
Bobby, in the distance where Buck can't see him: You lay one hand on my son and you will never see the light of day ever again.

*Another ordinary day in the station kitchen*
Chim: What did I miss?
Hen: Apparently, Ravi saw Buck and Eddie do the funny business. In their car.
Chim [gasping loudly and covering his eyes like he saw them himself]: Oh my god.
Ravi: Wait wait. I didn't exactly see them, you know, doing it.
Lucy: What then?
Ravi: It was more like a Titanic type of scene, you know, the hand on the fogged window?
Buck: Oh my god.
Ravi: I was walking to your truck because one of you left your jacket, saw the hand and walked right back inside.
Buck: This is so embarrassing!
Eddie [giving him a kiss on the head]: He didn't see anything, don't stress about it.
Bobby's thunderous voice reaches them: Don't make me separate you.
Buck: Sorry, Ravi.
Eddie: Yes, sorry. We will be cautious next time.
Bobby: There won't be a next time!

Buck: Bobby, am I ugly?
Bobby: Nonsense. I'm looking at you right now. You're the most beautiful boy in the world.
[Later]
Chim: Bobby, am I ugly?
Bobby: Very much.

Bobby, walking into the room: Buck, I need to ask you—
Buck, lying awkwardly on his bed, flustered, coughing: Er, yes, what?
Bobby:
Bobby: Is Eddie under the bed?
Eddie, muffled: No.

Buck: Hey, dad. I'm going to Eddie's. Bobby: Buck, I know you and Eddie are good friends, but you're at his house all the time nowadays. Don't you get bored? Buck, chuckles: Of being with my boyfriend? Can't say that I'll get bored anytime soon. Bobby, laughing hysterically: Boyfriend?! Since when did the two of you start dating?!?!

Eddie, sleepily: Yes, hello? Who is this? Bobby: ...Is that you, Diaz? Eddie: Oh, hey teach. Yeah, it's Eddie, what's up? Bobby: I'll tell you what's up, but do you mind telling me why my son is not answering his own damn phone this morning, Diaz? Eddie, checks the phone: Oh, shit.
