One of my first times ever drawing digitally, still not quite sure how to utilize all these new tools, but I’m kinda proud of this one. This is my paraself, Dione, and my baby boy, Venti! I’ve had this idea in my head for a while and I’m glad to finally get it down.

Things of note:

I’m not a visual artist, either traditionally or digitally. I like it and it’s a hobby of mine, but I’m obviously not that great and I don’t plan on actually trying to get better, I just want to have fun.

I have no concept of human anatomy, proportions, lighting, or hands. They are illusions, like death.

I’ve never been to a McDonald’s and have no idea what their bags look like

Usually with lighting and shading I naturally go really in-detailed with gradients and stuff. This mostly ends up with me being dissatisfied that it’s not “perfect” or exactly how I wanted it. So this time I decided to take inspiration from pieces I’ve seen floating around tumblr and loosen my control freak side to just do simple, blunt shading. I like both methods a lot for different reasons, and I think I’ll be experimenting with them both in the future.

Also made this ‘cause I like headcanons. Couples who appear straight but are actually very queer my beloved <3<3

[ AU: This Life is Mine ]

⚠️ THIS IS A MaDD BLOG!! FANDOM DNI ⚠️

A M@rvel AU following the events of [movie]. A lot happens but the tldr is that Gobby & Normie get different bodies thanks to their universe's version of [this dude]. The AU follows Goblin as he learns to have a life of his own. It's mostly random scenarios that are loosely connected — honestly, it can be viewed as a bunch of AUs stacked on top of each other at this point.

But this is one of the Arcs/AUs! It's quite a bit into the timeline, so I'm gonna skip over some stuff but the only important thing is that Goblin is now called Salem Green & works at an animal shelter. There he meets Claude Kingsley, and they immediately hit it off. Claude does not have the best home life, so Salem eventually accidentally becomes a parental figure towards them. And since Salem is also a vigilante — Changeling — he takes Claude under his wing and teaches them how to fight crime, making Claude his sidekick. They are cute, and very chaotic together.

We've only just recently managed to work Emory into the plot — much to his annoyance — so there isn't much with him other than he's uh. magic. A powerful wizard dude, basically. idk how he meets Salem & Claude yet, but it's probably something to do with Salem being a fae creature thing.

finally, a newer, more official reference for this ugly little gremlin man

the biggest changes i made for this new design are for his overall head design. i also heavily, HEAVILY toned down his facial hair. he originally had a full beard and mustache due to my not knowing how to make myself look scruffy and masculine. now, i'm using my real facial hair pattern as a reference for his facial hair pattern. it's just easier that way, considering how difficult it was originally for me to draw his stupid beard over and over without multiple variations on a piece-by-piece basis.

also, i made a sorta "inbetween" form for mark. basically taking the more "beastly" aspects of him and tossing them onto a form where he's not-quite-fox but also not-quite-human, kinda like the concept of a catboy. basically, his inbetween form has a fully visible tail and markings.

in total, mark has 4 main forms. human (this form, sans the colorful alt in the corner) fox boy (the colorful alt, which comes with a tail) anthro (which is the sionnach form pictured in his respective ref sheet posted here) and feral (basically just a fenrir-esque quadruped fox form, just as tall and looks the same as his anthro counterpart).

he can also transform into any animal he wishes, and can switch genitalia at will. shapeshifting's fun like that, it makes him less dysphoric.

~~GAME OVER.~~

so here's a self portrait i made mixing both features of my real face and that of my persona's. no, i do not, in fact, have an underbite. i do have a prominent overbite though, which lets me have cute lil fang teef if i smile a certain way :D

for those wondering about the facial hair, i toned down my persona's beard and mustache to match that of my real peach fuzz pattern, being that of a scraggly little mustache and soul patch. i plan on incorporating that into a future design of his. this is also the appearance of my paraself/parame, the "self-insert" form i take in daydream paracosms.

i wanted to make a piece reflecting both my true form, my persona's form, and what i wanna look like. that's what my persona is, after all. the reflection of who i am and who i wanna be. so, that's what i did! and i think, minus the grossly blown out lighting, this turned out rather well! i like how it turned out, it's a nice thing to see after suffering through a rough patch with drawing for a good few months now.
