“Are you my secret admirer, the one that’s been sending me all the flowers and notes?” With Ghiaccio please? 💙 ❄️

The first bouquet of flowers took you by surprise — and not the good kind. You’d taken one looked and assumed the worse as someone who lived in the more dangerous side of town and worked closely with an assassination squad, yet the postman (who was... sniffling? You didn’t think too much of it at the time) had insistently handed you the flowers and the note attached to them. 

The note was barely legible and had clearly been scribbled over multiple times, leaving you with a cryptic ‘Like these.’ Not even a ‘I hope you like these’ —, no, just a command that you should like the bouquet. Shrugging at the weirdness but still flattered, you’d carefully set them on your small kitchen table in a pretty vase. 

And then it happened again. And again, and again... The fourth time prompted you to bring it up to one of your more flirtatious acquaintances from La Squadra, who’d grinned creepily and prattled on about how your admirer had good taste until Ghiaccio had burst out of his room and yelled at him to ‘shut the fuck up!’

While it should have been obvious then, you just chalked it up the blue-haired man’s fiery temper. Prosciutto, who had been sitting at the kitchen table, just sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. What he knew and that you didn’t is that Ghiaccio had been harboring a crush on you for months, but had been unsure and too insecure to approach you.

(Of course what they didn’t know is that you’d been crushing on Ghiaccio since you met him, enamored by his passion and frankly adorable expressions when he went on one of his infamous rants.)

He was getting annoyed at his teammate's obsession (other than Risotto and Pesci) with teasing Ghiaccio about it. Luck would have it, then, that Ghiaccio’s crush would become a relationship sooner than he had ever guessed.

Two more notes come sans flowers to your house, leaving you a little confused, seeing as how the notes had a florist’s label on them. Were the flowers being used for something else after all? 

You hear the familiar knock of the postman and get up to collect what you assume to be another note before a familiar, loud shouting makes you jump in place. Coming closer and peering out the peephole, you spy blue hair and red glasses. The fisheye view reveals that he’s holding a massive bouquet in his hands.

Wait.

No — was it really Ghiaccio who had been sending you all those beautiful bouquets and strange (yet clearly heartfelt) notes?

You can’t suppress your grin when you open the door to see Ghiaccio in full, his face reddening when he sees your expression.

“Hello, Ghiaccio.” 

Ghiaccio blinks at your greeting, his mouth opening and closing a few times before he shoves the bouquet in your direction. He’s unusually quiet when you have the flowers in hand, so you break the silence.

“Are you my secret admirer, the one that’s been sending me all the flowers and notes?” You grin at him from behind the colorful arrangement and Ghiaccio turns an even deeper shade of red.

“NO! YES! I REALLY LIKE YOU” Ghiaccio pauses his rant to push his glasses back up the bridge of his nose. “I mean, I hate that term! It’s so stupid...” He trails off when he hears you giggle. “Why the fuck are you laughing?!”

You cradle the flowers in your arms and tilt your head at him, smile still on your face. “Because I really like you too.” Ghiaccio’s mouth opens to make a retort, but he thinks better of it and closes it. “Why don’t you come in? I certainly owe you some tea for all these lovely flowers.”

The shy look on his face morphs into what you can tell is a confident smirk, his mood immediately raised by the reciprocation of his crush. “You definitely do.”

Though some would be offended by his blunt statement, you can detect the happiness lacing his response. You understood Ghiaccio and he understood you. It was why you liked him, after all.

Later, sitting at your kitchen table on your third cup of shared tea, your heart feels full. Almost as full as your apartment is of the flowers Ghiaccio sent you, but you’re not complaining.

it’s all very angsty because bruno has a job to do but at the same time he really likes you. 

im seeing like a non-linear narrative too where like, we jump in between the divorce proceedings and also to you and bruno. so interspersed with cute moments of you and bruno are the heavy case details and also law stuff. 

climax of the story is when after a particularly tender night you end up divulging some secrets to bruno and he comforts you. these same secrets come to be divulged during the trial too and all seems lost until your attorney begins to turn the tables on your ex. 

turns out, bruno feeling extremely guilty ended up bending under the pressure and telling you everything. and you, tell him that you knew from the very beginning. after all, he seemed pretty sketchy following you around and also, as you two spent more time together, you started to find him cute aklnsdklas. thus the two of you hatch a plan to help you win your divorce and after some time you and bruno begin dating each other.
