For one birthday his buddy Ned got him this joke shirt with your face on it saying "I love Lana Del Rey" with pictures of you on it (I have a shirt of Pedro Pascal that says "I love Timothee Chalamet" on it)
Always joked that if he ever met you, he'd cry
That was until he got the chance to actually interview
He has never volunteered quicker to handle a report about someone that wasn't spiderman
Bro went on a whole makeover day immediately to get himself looking spic and span for you
Fresh new cut, clean shaved, new suit, new cologne
Plus a pedicure but he'll never admit that
He binged all of your best roles and wrote down so many different questions for the interview and quizzed himself on trivia
Has a bunch of questions from "fans" on note cards
"Peter... Are you fans?"
The interview is basically over your career and what's next for you and some of your personal life
On the day of the interview he was so excited and nervous
He's thought of a million different scenarios that could happen, one of them being that you'd fall madly in love with him
He was also scared you'd be snotty and mean
No matter what, he was a big fan and honored to do this interview for you
The interview was basically in a coffee shop. It wasn't anything that was gonna be recorded or anything, so he didn't have to worry about looking all macho in front of a camera. That and this way he can ask even more questions
He planned to get there at least an hour early, way too excited. And he didn't want you to wait
Was beyond shocked and thrown off by you already being there, waiting before ordering
Had he gotten the wrong time???
Had he been late???
How long were you waiting!?
Yet all he could do was stand frozen in front of the entrance, his mouth hung open, staring at you with wide eyes
You were reading a book, looking so peaceful and patient
He was scared that he had built up this image of you in his mind, and that reality wouldn't add up to his fantasy
But seeing you right there, who could blame him for getting his hopes up
You feel eyes on you, and look up to see a man standing there and staring
You never understood why people would put you on this high pedestal, seeing you as some sort of savior, too scared to touch you
But you were always so grateful for your fans, hell, they were the reason you were where you were today
And so rather than getting uncomfortable, you simply smile, setting your book down, walking over to the door
Might as well make the first move

His knees became weak, his palms suddenly sweaty
Before he could run away though, you had cracked the door open, peaking out at him
"Yes? Who is it?" You joked
It was so simple, but it felt like he had been slapped in the face. It was so... Cute
You opened the door all the way, holding a hand out to him in greeting
"You must be Peter B. Parker from the Bugle! I'm (Y/n)!"
".... U-uh hello name my Peter-"

But you just laughed. Not at him, but you thought it was charming

You explain that you'd been in the area searching for a book, and decided to sit in the shop and read it until he got there
You also noticed he was early, but didn't mention it
All he did was nod, keeping his mouth shut in gear he'd say something stupid again
You both go up to the counter, a teenager taking your order
You had placed your order, just a (favorite drink) and (favorite snack)
He commits it to memory
You give his arm a squeeze, telling him you'll wait at the table you got for you guys
Holy shit she's touching him-
He swallows thickly, nodding and smiling at you
"You good dude? I wouldn't worry. All first dates are awkward." The teen tells him
His heart skips at the thought of this being a date, his face going red
He places his order, and the teen gasses him up, being a hype man
"You got this dude!!"
Thank you kid
He shakes off his previous nervousness, his nerve and confidence coming back to him
He finds that your actually a lot more nice and quiet than he thought
You always played confident, loud characters, occasionally a dumb bimbo, and only sometimes were you the quiet character
He always liked those roles the most. They felt more real
You told him everything, listening to all of his questions carefully, indulging in his geeky theories
"You know, I've never told anyone this, but I actually love reading the fanfiction that my fans make for me."
His face lights up at this, and he promises to keep that out of the interview
You even ask him questions about himself, to which he tells you, albeit a bit shyly
But you listen with so much intent, his heart skips a beat again
By the end of the interview, it felt like you two had known eachother forever
He didn't even get to bust out his note cards of nerdy questions, but he wasn't complaining
"Wow, we got that done so fast! Honestly, it'd be a shame to waste the evening. Would you maybe wanna go get a bite to eat?"
It's as if one of his enemies had thrown him against a wall and knocked the wind from his lungs
YOU??? Asking HIM out!??
"Ha- I, uh, food good yes-"
PETER-
"O-oh! Great! I know this great Italian restaurant a couple blocks that way, I just know it'll blow your socks off!"
He was fangirling so hard right now
Let's just hope you don't wanna go back to his place afterwards though. He'd die of embarrassment at all of the memorabilia he has

Barça's Little Buddha - Champions Journal Issue 16
Sometimes it's not just what you say, but how you say it, and as Graham Hunter discovers, Barcelona wonder kid Pedri is as cool, calm and collected in conversation as he is on the pitch.
For everyone involved, the atmosphere of a TV interview at the training ground of a major football club is usually at the rarefied end of the scale. This one is with Pedro González López - better known as Pedri - so it's important that everything is spot on. In truth, the empty room we've been given is functional and dull - two things we don't want the interview to be. However, there's nothing dull about the activity taking place: there's a whirl of moving parts and participants, busy constructing the 'studio' where part of this interview will be filmed. It's an intricate, intense and necessarily efficient business. A cameraman, two cameras worth tens of thousands of pounds, a producer, spotlights, backdrops, microphones, three club press officers, an interviewer (me) and ... the player.
Pedri appears to be in the eye of this hurricane of activity, unruffled and unperturbed. It makes a great metaphor for how Pedri plays - what it looks like when rivals fret and flock around him, trying to shackle his elegant imposition of intelligence upon Europe's football fields. But, right now, accompanying that preternatural calm is a gently amused smile. It is neither sardonic nor condescending; rather, it is the smile of someone who is deeply self-assured. And importantly, it reaches his eyes.
"My first club in Tenerife, Tegueste, were big on values. They instilled in us the idea that we shouldn't get angry during matches or argue with the referee - there's no point. They also taught us to have fun. Now, these days I do get angry occasionally. That's normal. But the self-discipline to stay calm and to do better next time you're on the ball can make the difference."
Not to overdo the theme, but Pedri's self-possession also helped him govern the emotions of moving to the Camp Nou in 2020. Just over two and a half years before, he'd been on trial at Real Madrid's Valdebebas training ground, which was a miserable experience: it was snowy, training was disrupted and those in charge told him he wasn't yet at their level. So, turning up at Barcelona with the impression that he might be put under contract only to be immediately loaned out meant guarantees were in short supply.
"When my family and I arrived at our hotel, I made a deliberate effort to stay calm. I knew that, at any time, the club might tell me they weren't going to sign me."
He was 16, small and slight, joining a great club in great turmoil. At the time of signing, he had only started for Las Palmas, in the second division, three times. After completing his first full senior season with the Canary Islanders, the best option that staying put at Barcelona seemed to offer was joining Barça B. But that's not what happened.
"The day Ronald Koeman told me that I could stay with his first team, that I might get a few minutes, was a huge shock - I really didn't expect it. The surprise opportunity filled me with determination to keep training hard, to compete fiercely and to immediately try to grab as much playing time as possible."
From his Barcelona debut (September 2020 against Villarreal) until the end of that season, Pedri played 73 times for club and country. He scored his first Champions League goal at 17; at 18 he won Spain's Copa del Rey and was named in the EURO 2020 team of the tournament (he also won the Young Player award for good measure). And now, aged 20, he has won his first Liga title.
No offence to the great sides that Pedri has faced across Europe, but his most ferocious rival so far might still be his own grandmom. The González family run an eatery in Tenerife and, as a kid, Pedri, his brother and mates would move the tables and chairs to play 2v2 football. One time, a wayward shot smashed a glass lantern; Grandma González was so furious that she tried to burst the ball with a knife. You soon learn tight control after a fright like that. So, is Pedri's ability to be surrounded by four or five opponents but skip free with the ball innate, or was it learned in the family restaurant?
"It's a bit of both. I was able to do some things like that when I was younger, and it's down to the work with all the coaches. But certain things stick with you and often you do things naturally, without thinking."

I’m remembering why I left tumblr all those years ago. 1) over indulgence in escapism only helps my mental health so much 2) consistent think pieces complaining about the tumblr community when I don’t even have enough mutuals to a. Stir up beef or mixed feelings or b. Observe beef or mixed feelings . Not blaming those posting the think pieces, but it’s always a reminder that social media only does so much for me bc there’s still *people behind the screens bringing their online weirdness, drama, and controversial/problematic ideologies to what’s supposed to be a place to escape. We can truly never have anything good.
Which is why I don’t engage a lot w my mutuals! It makes me scared. I like to silently exist much like in real life bc I also know these connections ARENT that- “real life.” Escapism is both my sedative and used as a luxury. Makes my relationship with media such as tumblr very fragile and inconsistent.
figuring out a world to immerse in, is sometimes better than doom scrolling pedro pascal pics, baking, miniature models, the frog and toad account, and lana del rey memes on my spam instagram. But on the other side my spam Instagram account never have think pieces- it’s just memes, photos, funny comments, and good vibes. (No stories- hence doom scroll which cycles back to going to tumblr so I feel like I’m actually getting something from chronically escaping through this cellular device).
ANYWAY IM RAMBLING. Maybe some of my (few and barren amount of) mutuals can relate, idk 🤷🏽♀️. Maybe consider this an effort of me actually digging my toes back into the tumblr sand of talking to others?? Anyway love you all not FOR REAL but real enough bc tumblr still is a special place that I hold in my heart

@asongofstarkandtargaryen Related with Lorca and Emdt, it's a curious thing that Lorca amd some of his friends of the G27 formed a group called the Order of Toledo, that was founded by Luis Buñuel in 1923 and was active til 1936, and consisted in visiting Toledo to admire the city (and also go partying).
Some of the members were Lorca, Luis Buñuel, Salvador Dalí and Pepín Bello.
And I find it very cool so some time ago I searched info and photos about the Order and Toledo during the 1920's and the 1930's, and I did some collages.
The photos are from places that are mentioned in the quotes, but also of some other places of the city, just for the aesthetic.
I think eventually I will be posting the photos I collected on some post on Tumblr if anyone wants to see them because I cuatro some parts of the photos for the collage.
I used a few pics from the Emdt episode La Leyenda del tiempo to complete the collage, and the quotes of the tales of some members like Luis Buñuel Península Bello and Rafael Alberti or other people who wrote about the group.
They are like 10, so I made a version with a post with the 10 collages and the collection of quotes (X), and then I did a post of each collage and a bunch of quotes, and this quotes are also translated to English.

This is a street map of the old part of Toledo, for locating some places, like I would say the distribution of the streets and the old buildings are similar to the ones from the 20th century (in summary, a maze and complete mess) (Click for more details)
I have created a list in Google maps with the places of that are shown in the photos (×)
I have to say that maybe I'm a bit biased because I live in a town of the Toledo province called Illescas (For locating it, Toledo and Madrid are like 70 km away from each other and this town is halfway) and Toledo is one of the cities that I have visited the most.
There's many curious facts I could tell, but for example talking about Toledo and Madrid, both have a Puerta del Sol (Sun's Gate), but the one that is still standing is the one from Toledo in the inner wall, in Madrid the Puerta del Sol square has this name because there was a gate of Madrid's wall.
About some other places of Toledo, there's a new School of Translators in the building known as Palacio del Rey Don Pedro (Peter I's palace), that belongs to the Castilla-La Mancha university.
Next to the palace, there's another building called Convento de Santa Isabel de los Reyes, a mudéjar style convent where princess Isabella of Aragon was buried. It's funny because one of the reasons why the San Juan de los Reyes Monastery was built is to be a mausoleum for Isabella I and Ferdinand II's family and none of them is buried there.
I found this of the Order due to the comics of Los Caballeros de la Orden de Toledo by Juanfra Cabrera and Javierre, that tells some adventures protagonised by Lorca, Dalí and Buñuel. There's an blog here on Tumblr of this comics: @laordendetoledo.
Fun fact: The authors of the comic made a wallpaper of a crossover with Emdt due to the episode La Leyenda del tiempo
And even there's a photo of Juanfra Cabrera with the showrunner Javier Olivares and Nacho Fresneda with the comic:
(Also I love how Nacho was on the 2 previous period dramas of the Olivares brothers, Aben Hud in Isabel, and Fernando de la Escosura in Víctor Ros, but they were terciary/secondary characters, and also Aura Garrido played a terciary character in Víctor Ros called Lucía Alonso, and I was thinking that is perfect for a bit of more footage of Amelia in other 19th clothes and from Alonso traveling to the 15th or 19th century)

¿FUE EL MENCEY BELICAR DE ICODEN EL QUE FUE LLEVADO A VENECIA? (*)

Mucho se ha polemizado en torno al hecho histórico de la entrega de uno de los siete menceyes guanches presentes en la Corte de Almazán y que fue llevado a la República de Venecia como obsequio de los Reyes Católicos (RR.CC) a finales del s.XV, recién terminada la conquista de Tenerife. En este artículo intentamos probar, a modo de hipótesis, de que pudo haber sido el mencey Belicar el protagonista de este episodio.
De los nueve menceyes que gobernaban la isla en la etapa final hay que descartar dos:
1) El gran mencey de Taoro, Imoha Benchomo, herido mortalmente en San Roque, La Laguna, en noviembre de 1495 y a sus descendientes Benytomo, que tomó el nombre de Cristóbal Hernández de Taoro, muriendo al poco tiempo (B. Alfonso I, 1991:343) (otro Cristóbal Hernández de Taoro que testó en La Orotava en 1553 o 1556, según De Arribas, era su hijo Deriman, más conocido por Cristóbal Bencomo) y Bentor, desriscado por Tigaiga en la primavera de 1496.
2) El mencey Tegueste II, (Juan de Tegueste), bien datado, que murió a poco de la conquista dejando como tutor de su hijo Juan Teguazo al intérprete y conquistador majorero Guillén Castellano. También se habla de otro hijo, Tegues, conocido más tarde por Álvarez (B. Alfonso. I, 1991:353) (Caserío de Pedro Álvarez, Tegueste).
Los siete que quedan: Pelinor (Adeje), Romen (Daute), Adxoña (Abona), Acaymo Daniaga (Tacoronte), Beneharo II (Anaga), Añaterbe (Güimar) y Belicar (Icoden) fueron llevados a España por el general Lugo, a la corte de los RR.CC. en Almazán. Teniendo en cuenta que la rendición y sumisión de los menceyes se produjo en los primeros días de mayo de 1496 en el campamento de El Realejo (J. Bethencourt Alfonso III, 1997, de A. Rumeu, 1975) señalemos lo que apunta textualmente Rumeu relativo a los 7 menceyes:
”Sabemos por una carta que el embajador de la República de Venecia, Francesco Capello, dirige a la Señoría, el 10 de junio de 1496, que por aquella fecha ya habían hecho una entrada en la Corte los reyes de Tenerife, lo que nos obliga a fijar la fecha del viaje de Lugo alrededor del 15 de mayo de dicho año…La civilización de los menceyes nos lleva a proponer un bautismo en el seno de la Corte. A nuestro juicio, en una de las iglesias de Almazán, regularmente la de San Miguel, por ser la más próxima al palacio de los Mendoza, recibieron las aguas redentoras del bautismo los monarcas isleños…siete reyes hemos visto comparecer en Almazán para rendir homenaje, comunión y pleitesía a los RR.CC y a los primeros menceyes de reinos de paces, con la libertad personal garantizada por los tratados, indiscutiblemente volvieron a la patria, integrándose en la nueva sociedad que alboreaba, con cierto rango peculiar” (A. Rumeu de Armas, “La conquista de Tenerife 1494-1496”, ACT, 1975).
Como prueba de que seis de los menceyes volvieron a Tenerife señalemos las Datas recibidas por ellos y sus descendientes y las tierras otorgadas:
1) Mencey Pelinor (Adeje). Diego Diaz o Diego de Adexe. Murió en 1505 en Berbería (De Arribas, en D. Oliva, 2003). Se le otorgó una Data en octubre de 1503 en el barranco de Masca (Rumeu, 1952). Uno de sus hijos, Alonso Díaz (Moreque), pidió en 1508 la confirmación de las tierras de su padre en Mazca, en Itapo, abajo de Erjos y tierras en Adeje regadas con el agua del Río de Chasna “que son a do se parten los términos de entre Abona e Adeje”. Además de los centenares de cabezas de ganado y solares en La Laguna (B. Alfonso III, 1997: 183).
2) Mencey Romen (Daute). Bautizado Diego de Ibaute (tomado de un noble de Anaga). Fue datado con tierras en el Valle de las Yeguas o Adanoro (Anaga) y con las cuevas de Tinexa, Benchivo (bco. del Puerto de los Caballos) y Ejineza) (Datas Lib.4º, del 17-3-1525). La Data 1447, del 17-3-1525, cita lo mismo aunque con ligeras variantes:”…y la otra cueva en el barranco del puerto de los Caballos, que se dice Benchino y otra cueva arriba de Santa Cruz q. se dice Exineza, Digo q. vos do las dhas. tas. y cuevas”. Aparte, recibió tierras en el valle de Ibaute o de San Andrés, en Santa Cruz y 60 fanegadas de tierra en Açafio por los Henetos de La Laguna (Datas Lib.5º y 3º, del 11-12-1509). Testó en 1510 y 1511 y volvió a testar en 1516, según De Arribas (B.Alfonso III, 1997:183). Los descendientes de este mencey subsisten en su mayor parte en Icod (B.Alfonso III, 1997:186, de Arribas).
3) Mencey Adxoña (Abona). Tomó el nombre de Gaspar Hernández. Fue datado según consta en los Lib. de Datas 1º, 2º y 3º, según J. Garcia Ramos (B.Alfonso III, 184). Testó en La Orotava, ante Diego de Andrada, en 1504..”para pasar a Berbería” (De Arribas, ibídem). Según escritura otorgada a “..don Pedro, guanche (Pero Bueno), hijo del rey de Abona, ya difunto”, ante Alonso Sánchez de Morales por Antón de los Olivos, el 27 de mayo de 1510 (D. Oliva, 2003:64, de L. de la Rosa, 1944). De estos dos datos se infiere que murió entre 1504 y antes de finales de mayo de 1510. Las tierras otorgadas a su hija Doña Elvira Hernández se documentan en la Data 1.326-24, del 10-X-1505:”Elvira Hernández, hermana de Pero Bueno e de Gaspar Hernández (hijo del mencey), mis criados, naturales desta isla; sois mi ahijada e vos quereis casar e por buen servicio q. me han hecho vos do 400 f.(fanegas) de ta. de Abona, alinda por arriba un montaña q. se nombre Enaydan aguas vertientes a la mar e por un lado el barranco q. va de Chasna con las fuentes de Chipevcho (Chipeucho) e por abajo la montaña de Thamage hasta Avsa (Ausa) con las cuevas e manantiales q. en ellas estuvieren. Digo q. vos doy las dhas 400 f. (E. Serra Ràfols, 1978)
4) Mencey Acaymo Daniaga, llamado Fernando Tacoronte, después de bautizado. Según J. García Ramos tuvo repartos de tierra en Tegueste (Lib. 1º y 2º) y en Igueste y Arona (según De Arribas). Murió en La Laguna testando ante Alonso Gutiérrez a 1º de marzo de 1520, declarando que otorgaba su testamento hallándose en las “casas de su morada” y ordenando se le enterrara en la iglesia de la Concepción (B. Alfonso III, 1997: 184).
5) Mencey Beneharo II (Anaga). Llamado tras ser bautizado Pedro de los Santos de Anaga y fue datado según R. García Ramos, de haber leído “en el archivo de Afonso Avecilla las datas del rey de Anaga y de su hijo don Enrique”, de muy pocos años este último en la época final de la conquista, interino del trono durante la enajenación mental de su padre (B. Alfonso III, 1997:185). Murió hacia 1502 (¿en Berbería?) (D. Oliva, 2003:147, de J. Álvarez Delgado, 1985).
6) Mencey Añaterbe (Güimar). Llamado tras su bautismo Juan de Candelaria. El hábitat real de Acaymo (su padre) y él mismo se localiza en Cueva Negra, en el Barranco de Badajoz. En dicho barranco existe la Fuga de los 14 Reales. No se tienen datos concretos de su paradero posterior tras la conquista, aunque sí se sabe que estuvo en la Corte de Almazán en 1496, según el testigo Diego de Madrid y que retornó a la isla junto con los demás menceyes (B. Alfonso, III, 1997:186). Algún autor señala que posiblemente murió en 1498 y que tuvo al menos dos hijos, probablemente Miguel de Güimar y Andrés de Güimar o de Llerena, casados con mujeres de la nobleza de Abona y Adeje (D. Oliva, 2003:85, de JAD, 1985).
Por su parte, M.A. Gómez (2000:14) señala que Añaterbe de Güimar no sabemos si regresó a la isla o murió en el viaje de regreso y que parece poco probable de que fuese el mencey guanche enviado como regalo de los RR.CC a Venecia, a tenor de las Leyes del Reino.
