Harry spun around, Professor Moody was limping down the marble staircase. His wand was now pointing at a pure white ferret, which was shivering on the stone-flagged floor, exactly were Malfoy had been standing.

There was a terrified silence in the entrance hall. Nobody but Moody was moving a muscle. Moody looked at Harry, at least his normal eye was looking at Harry; the other one was pointing at the back of his head.

"Did he get you ?" Moody growled, his voice low and gravely.

"No" said Harry "Missed"

"LEAVE IT!" Moody shouted

"Leave-what" said Harry, bewildered.

"Not you, him !" Moody growled, jerking his thumb over his shoulder at Crabbe, who was just frozen, about to pick up the white ferret. It seemed that Moody's rolling eye was magical and could see at the back of his head.

Moody started to limp towards Crabbe, Goyle and the Ferret, which gave a terrified squeak and took off, streaking towards the dungeon.

"I don't think so!" roared Moody, pointing his wand at the ferret again. It flew ten feet into the air and fell with a smack to the ground.

"Expeliarmus !"

Harry distinctly heard a feminine voice shout the incantation. Moody's wand flew away from his hand and the ferret dropped, but seemed unable to run.

Harry recognized Peony...Did she fully intend to defend Malfoy by dueling Mad Eye Moody, the man responsable for putting half the Death Eaters in Azkaban ?

This would not end well, at all. Her wand was fully directed at Professor Moody, not a single shiver deflecting it. She than ran towards him...

"Lestrange, HAVE YOU GONE MAD!"

Her eyes had a mad glow to them. Harry was unsure how this would end.

Omg... is it true that the second annual @kirbyoctournament has rolled around? How exciting!

Last year, I entered a nasty, nasty, no-good old woman, and that was fine and dandy, but I think it might be time for a change in vibe. After all, as much as I love my girl Peacekeeper, last year I hadn't yet created my favorite Kirby OC, and I think said OC deserves her chance in the spotlight.

Which is all to say...

Peony will be entering the fray!

I made a longer post going over Peony's whole deal here, but to give the long-and-short of it (because yes, this is the abridged version), Peony is my (extremely self-indulgent 💜) Taransusie fankid.

Her existence was a bit of a happy, spite-induced accident, seeing as how she was grown in a test tube on an impulsive whim, but she's a very beloved, happy kid. Albeit a bit strange...

Because you see, Peony sees ghosts.

Following a near-death experience, she was supercharged with Soul magic and now she teeters the line between the worlds of the living and the dead. A creepy, macabre, spirit medium of a child, her circumstances would be confusing and offputting to anyone. But with her family's history in particular?

...Yeahhhhh, things are kind of bizarre.

She gets along well, though, with her undead friends. And who knows? Perhaps her new, mysterious powers could be the key to giving her family some long sought after closure.

Peony is an overconfident, somewhat-naive, stubborn know-it-all who doesn't know how to take 'no' for an answer, and really, it comes by her honestly, considering her family. For all of her hardheadedness and ego, though, she really is a sweet kid, and much of her determination comes from a place of honest love. She adores her friends and her family and just wants the best for them, regardless of what other people think or what the world says she can do.

As of right now, her biggest dream and aspiration is to find a way to undo death and bring her ghostly companions back from the grave, setting things right and 'reuniting' her family. This is almost certainly something she won't be able to accomplish, but...

Like I said, Peony doesn't really know how to take no for an answer.

Upon growing up, Peony ends up becoming a wandering spirit medium, traversing the galaxy in hopes of helping people come to terms with their unfinished business. She still makes sure to visit home often, though! For all of her pluckiness, she's still ultimately her mom and dad's baby girl deep down.

"Have you been taking proper care of your mechanics?" "Of course, Mom." "And you've been eating alright?" "Yes, Dad. Oh my Stars, you two, there's no need to fret... you can just say you're glad to see me. It's good to see you too."

...And there's no need to fear. Rest assured, she still has her babysitters compatriots. Something tells me their unfinished business won't ever truly be done with until they've finished looking out for her.

Because if Peony's strange life full of reopening once-thought-to-be-closed doors has made anything clear, it's that the more things change, the more they inevitably stay the same.

Redesign stiff

This is Pwyll old design the guy in the red. He used to be name Sato, they had a lot of design changes, I still love this character and it's my oldest one that I never dispose of! I love him too much.

So...Sato did have a love interest but because the character is one not mine and two...just brings bad memories I decided to show Pwyll love interest which is an angel. I don't have name for them but they are curious and like Pwyll because they are silly.

That is how I used to draw, it was Pwyll old design not his oldest. I can show that another time but he used to be a pirate and was a bit light skinned. He always consisted of warm colors but I kept changing his design like a lot of things happened when having Pwyll. I still love him even if there's old drawing that bring bad memories.

I might do one for Xian and Anacaona too! Oh and Aisling! He's another of my oldest characters. One thing I notice that even after a long time of redesign at the end of the day Sato/Pwyll will still have a choker and bracelets on their wrists.

Cuisine for my portfolio project fantasy world...

Penbre has a bit of a unique cuisine:

So, a delicacy for the rich of these region are bird cherry almonds (it can also refer to a center of a nut pit, not just the fruit of the almond tree) is to toast and grind them, and them boil them in honey until a rough, rudimentary mazipan is created.

A common dish is rutapaga stew served with some oat bread (oat bread is delicious).

A late spring favorite are thinly sliced radishes served with melted butter, and are eaten on seasonal occasions by all social classes.

On summer, some rutapaga breads are served, nice and soft with simply a little bit of butter.

A common winter dish is rowan confied in salted lard (just the fat). Is typically spread on bread.

A special occasion's dish is duck stuffed with cattails in more swampy villages.

In the city, chocolate is a popular treat for those who can afford it. It's typically drank as hot chocolate based in water, aromatized with cream and berries.

The monastary produces cheeses that are covered with some lie de vin, but instead of raisins it's stuff like cranberries. It gives a winy, cranberry flavor to them. Some are wrapped in nettle, giving it a greener taste.

I'm not sure what some of this foods are or what they mean but I appreciate your attention to detail.

Peony would be cute when embarassed. Because she's like those heroes in period dramas who like, face a public whipping barely flinching or smile with pride and resistance when tortured and humiliated, showing how tough they are. But she blushes and looks away when Neville holds her hands in a comforting way. That's very cute imo but also sad. Like, I think she barely cries, but would cry in the arms of someone she knows will love and accept her as she is. She's also cute when she has a sweet craving and eats a lot of cookies. She rarely eats sweets, but when she does, she eats so much it puts Ron to shame. She used to be ashamed of this (unladylike savage behavior!@*@&!*), but then she stopped caring.

LIKE. On one hand yes absolutely I was extremely devastated to see Sharena was COMPLETELY absent from the TT, and I was a little bummed that Peony/Sharena's FBs were just fluff (BUT ALSO. Idk if I'm just coping or having a revelation about it but going back to my tags few posts ago -- about Peony knowing exactly what she wants, what she's about, and having a one-track mind about it with an unwavering optimism -- like. I actually do really like that, and I like that the FBs really solidified that if that's what they were going for).

BUT ON THE OTHER HAND. I DO find the implications of Sharena being completely removed from the situation to be FASCINATING. Like. Tbh I don't even KNOW what they are yet, aside from Peony literally taking the fall for Sharena, forcing her to go home while the other girls lost their mortality. Like I'm SO SPLIT completely equally between, "OF COURSE Sharena should fucking be here it INVOLVES HER and her old friends" vs "OF COURSE she wouldn't be here, actually. Because it DOESN'T involve her anymore. Because she didn't become a fairy like the rest of her friends did. Peony made sure of that. To protect her. To return her home safely. Knowing Sharena had/could have a better life than her own."

And also the more self-indulgent side of this line of thought, since my summoner OC was a part of the group too in the dream realm as a child. And it left, before drinking the nectar.

"I wish I was somebody nobody would miss. Then I could run away, and go on adventures." Moe makes the choice to leave, without saying goodbye, believing it'd be missed. Trusting, "I have people who love me." Either prioritizing its loved ones from its realm, or failing to see that it was loved here, too.

All of this, has just. Really funny implications actually about Moe and Sharena in particular. This shit doesn't involve them. None of their fucking business, actually. They both exist outside of it, now.

OC INTRODUCTION - Miaki Alamilla

With a spunky and spontaneous spirit, Miaki is (almost) all smiles and laughs wherever she goes. Ever since her earliest memories, she's only remembered living in the city orphanage. She had no clue where her parents were or what happened to them, but she didn't let it get to her. (at least, she's pretty sure she didn't...)

Because she grew up in an orphanage full of 20+ kids at a time, she developed vulgar language as she felt the need to act out in order to get the workers to pay attention to her. As kind as they were, her living situation unfortunately caused her to be quite attention-starved, as well as undisciplined. Her lack of a mental filter will lead her to spurt out the first thing that comes to her head, which may hurt people without her realizing. She's a good kid under all of this however, she just needs someone to push her in the right direction.

Enter Ivy! the two met when Ivy entered the orphanage for volunteer work, and Miaki was immediately attached to her from her kind and nurturing aura. After about a year of visits from Ivy, the last left her in shock as she handed the child a sheet of paper. An adoption paper. She could barely contain her excitement as she hurriedly signed her name as neatly as she could.

Miaki has been living with Ivy ever since, attached to the woman by the hip. Eager to help with her business, Ivy has taught her how to bake in order to help her make the food. The two act like they've known each other their whole lives... hopefully Ivy is able to keep up with Miaki's attitude!
