since Hobie lives in the 70s in Britain, gay rights weren’t really…. y’know, the best.

for your safety and his, the most he’d do in public is holding your hand. and even that was a big sign of rebellion. holding hands with a person of the same sex? how scandalous!

anyway, while holding your hand, he’d love to put both your hands in his pocket, especially if you run cold (like me :P).

he’d totally be the type to rub his thumb slowly on your palm, too.

Hobie knows a lot of people, especially in the queer and punk scenes. he gets invited to a lot of house parties, and feels safer to put your relationship on display more then, but he’s definitely not over the top with it.

a simple arm over the shoulder, around your waist, or a hand in the back pocket of your jeans, though he doesn’t need PDA to show your relationship off.

“Have ya seen this new patch on the ol’ battle jacket? Or this pin? Yeah, my lovely boyfriend made ‘em fo’ me. Gorgeous, innit?” [speaking to a random friend]

“Have ya had the pleasure of meetin’ my boyfriend yet?”

i really don’t think Hobie would get particularly jealous over you.

of course he loves you with all his little gay heart, but he doesn’t feel insecure or get upset at you or anything if you talk (or flirt) with another guy (as long as you communicate). if anyone is flirting with you and you seem really disinterested, he’ll totally intervene.

maybe hold you in a way that makes it clear you’re together, or explicitly tell the dude that you’re not interested.

but he doesn’t like treating you like an object he ‘owns’ at all, it’s why he’s pretty hesitant to slap the ‘boyfriend’ label down on your relationship right away.

and the 70s were a sexual revolution! revolting against gender norms and relationship norms, stuff like that.

if anybody ever dared ask you two ‘so who’s the man and the woman in the relationship?’ or ‘who’s the top and who’s the bottom?’ Hobie would be dreadfully disgusted and educate them immediately.

speaking of sexual revolution and whatnot, Hobie would be down for polyamory if you were.

you two have a very good line of communication, and if you wanted to open your relationship and communicated that to him, he’d be fine with it.

you’re so great, he gets how other guys might fall in love with you, too.

Hobie would give the best gifts, try and change my mind. whether it’s for your anniversary, birthday, or just a random gift, they’re always handmade.

maybe he’ll make you a piece of clothing like a shirt, hand-pick a bouquet for you, or even customizing/fixing one of your old clothing pieces with a bit of added Hobie flair.

Even small things, like a charm, pin, or patch have so much love put into them because he loves you!

touching on my first point again, homophobia was very present outside of the queer/punk scene, even in some aspects of the punk community he didn’t feel welcome at all.

usually, he’d tell people where to shove their opinion, but sometimes he’d feel completely unsafe to be himself around anyone.

yeah, he’s spider-man, but he’s also a very young adult. he could fight people, and he definitely used to, but he hated coming home to you being worried sick about all the horrible bruises, cuts, and scrapes on him.

back to the lighthearted stuff, he’s definitely the type of guy to cook for you.

doesn’t matter what meal it is, he’s gonna make it for you if he has the chance to. and he actually makes good food, despite living in Britain his whole life.

if you’ve got issues with trying new foods, his place will always be stocked full with your safe foods no matter what.

you’ll eat together, and he’ll gaze dreamily at you, wondering how he ever got so lucky to land such a stellar guy like you.

this man loves coming home after a long day, popping in a VCR for a movie of some sort (TV could be in your bedroom or living room, doesn’t matter), and just cuddling with you.

he doesn’t mind being either the big spoon or little spoon, but tends to like being big spoon cause he likes holding you close to him so much.

he’s very scrawny, but doesn’t mean he won’t love you all the same, and hold you tight.

one more thing, Hobie loves you above all else. he’ll protect you and fight for you anytime you need. when it comes to his partners, he does not play around!!

Eggtober Recap and Masterpost 2023

Eggtober is over. We did it~ The poem doesn't really speak to a current state of mind. Just a pattern of maladaptive thinking I grew up having, being the weird kid. People like the rough edges a lot more when you grow up, I've found. Makes you interesting. Or maybe it's just easier to find your people when you're unapologetically strange online. And I like that Eggtober sort of embraces that. It's not a super serious Inktober challenge. Just a bunch of weird people drawing weird eggs. And I mean that in the best way. People expect there to be a "why" a lot. "Why eggs?" And sometimes there is a why. Sometimes I draw eggs to express something or to symbolize something. But sometimes there is no why. Sometimes it's just because an egg is easy or fun or comfortable. Sometimes an egg just feels right. Sometimes it's just to make something. Doesn't have to be poetic or meaningful. Sometimes you just draw an egg, and that's all it is. And I think a lot of discomfort around art is that everyone expects there to be a why, and if you don't have a why, then your art doesn't deserve to be seen. "Why do you like gorey stuff, kinky stuff, weird stuff? If you can't explain, I'm choosing to believe you're a freak and should be disallowed from creating." And I'm lucky, I think, to not be that popular. I don't get asked these sorts of things. But I see it happen to other people. And sometimes I get it. An answer to the why pacifies. I get uneasy with horror the same as everyone and I pacify it by reading the wiki and learning the secrets and understanding the why. But I think we need to get more comfy making up our own why, or get comfy with the knowledge that sometimes there isn't a why. Sometimes the little brain goblin decides there is no why. They just like the weird little eggs. And that's okay. And I think the reason we make up for other peoples' "why" should maybe stop being "because they're a weird little freak that likes degenerate things." Because yeah, maybe they are. But it's not a bad thing. And the world is a lot more interesting when we accept that we don't always know the why. And the why isn't always as simple as that.

I dunno. I'm rambling a bit. But I'm grateful to everyone that showed up and participated and shared and liked and just... enjoyed existing where the thing happening was lots of eggs and the "why" was just "why not?"

Hoping every one of you has a nice glass of your preferred warm beverage and stays nice and toasty for the rest of the year. (Shout out to the southern hemisphere folks if there are any. May you guys have an iced beverage of your choice and stay nice and cool for the rest of the year.)

Lots of thoughts about Eggtober 2023 and no good way to articulate them, but suffice it to say that having a loose amount of structure like this is very good on my garbage ADHD brain. so prolly an uncommon take but Saejima's always sorta sat on the ace spectrum for me personally like he's into people but not in a way that's like something he'd go out and seek nor really need to be happy. not into being touchy feely with people he's just met and needs a bit of emotional bonding to let that happen *insert some joke about him making everyone he meets his kyoudai lol*. so when it comes to Nishiki, he feels a lot more comfy being openly intimate since they've gotten plenty of time to know each other in jail. Nishiki on the other hand, gives me casual guy™ vibes so he's into slapping the salmon whenever however but not in a wildin' type of way. he's into trying new things but also enjoys comfortable patterns that don't necessarily have to change anything up.

so when they're first shooting the shit about getting their freak on, I can see Nishiki being kinda surprised at first by Saejima's preferences but totally gets it too. he's used to Kiryu being a loner type who isn't exactly going out of his way for the ultimate boner experience. where they differ tho is Saejima is experienced while Kiryu just sorta bumbles through it. Saejima on the other hand, sees Nishiki who was a prominent crime boss and conventionally very pretty so he's thinking oh yeah Nishiki's prolly some kind of sex pest but is pleasantly surprised when Nishiki's more than considerate and patient.

now, Nishiki's been with people of all sorts so he knows his shit while Saejima is more like yeah I know my stuff but I ain't into it enough to really know if I'm performing up to the standards for my partner. he has a good bit of anxiety about that sorta thing and Nishiki didn't really believe him at first cuz like, just look at him. Saejima doesn't look like he'd have anxieties about anything so that's a hurdle they'd have to cross. Nishiki ends up being the lead in most cases, if anything to show the types of things he likes and to give Saejima confidence that he's doing a good job.

when Nishiki leads, he's either topping or power bottoming which defo pumps up the fish ego. but when tiger tops, it's more of a service top thing - he wants to see Nishiki pass the FUCK out lol. he wants to see toes CURL, he wants that ex patriarch to BEG for more. it makes him happy, knowing he can bring Nishiki down a peg for all the pride he's got in him. for Nishiki, it's a nice balance of leaving the work to Saejima while still being in control, even more so when he's going evil mode and gets a mad kick out of having such an imposing man at his beck and call hohohehe.

Saejima's very much not horny ever so Nishiki's gotta be the one to get him in the mood which is perfectly fine for the two of em. it's part of their foreplay, lots of talking and touching and even if it doesn't pan out to anything, they still enjoy just being around each other.

when Nishiki tops he's real sweet about it, very handsy and slick, doing everything you'd expect out of a well choreographed movie tbh. it's a very ideal time and Saejima just sorta gets lost in it, unused to being treated well and gentle. he's definitely prone to being a bit more emotional during these times and not afraid to show it which shocked Nishiki for a time until he got used to it and has come to really enjoy bringing such feelings out of him.

EVIL MODE so there's occasions where Nishiki's into the rougher stuff *insert whatever your heart desires here* and it's a lil bit embarrassing for him cuz there's been occasions with past partners where it's not exactly been the most enjoyable experience for either party, due to inexperience or going too far, etc. he's a lil too eager and too aggressive for his own good, especially back then cuz he had some aha issues to work out and ended up unintentionally taking it out on others.

so insert Saejima who proposes hey let's try out whatever the hell that maybe other people couldn't handle and Nishiki's hesitant, thinking, oh nah you already have anxieties and I can't do that to you but it's in the back of his mind like I want to tho. a big component of nsfw tigerfish to me is that they have a theme of taking time to get to things with a certain gentleness unlike my kazumaji hcs where they have a very intense, impulsiveness to them. so it takes a hot minute for Nishiki to open up this more aggressive side of him that for a long time he's suppressed cuz he felt that there's no place for it even tho it's very much a part of him.

so when Nishiki does eventually start to tip toe into his more perverse kinks, Saejima gives him comfort in that nothing really shocks him about what he wants and he's more than ready to handle it physically. with Nishiki leading, it's a good time for the two of em; Saejima can be of service while Nishiki can feel freer to explore this part of himself without judgment or so much worry.

after all that, aftercare! very important. it's usually Saejima who takes care of Nishiki, wrapping him up and massaging out the jitters. sometimes, one or both of them can experience some mixed emotions from a variety of things, performance worries, trauma, etc so they spend a lotta time just talking to each other. there's a lot of reassurances but also just a lot of wanting someone to listen.

i never thought our community would grow this big. i mean, fifteen thousand people....and you want to read my writing? it baffles me honestly. but i'm so so thankful i have the ability to create a safe environment for yall to talk about our little kpop boys haha!!

each one of you has brought your unique insights and energy to this space, & i really cannot thank you enough. god, i remember sitting in the library like four years ago when i only had about a thousand followers... and even still, writing for nct has continued to bring me joy, and you all have been apart of keeping that spark alive.

& so have the mutuals i've met along the way. a lot of them have drifted off into bigger and better things, but to the ones who are still around, you mean a lot to me and this blog. never forget that.

huge thank you to @peachjaem00 . you've been stuck with me for years, and i couldn't think of a better mutual to spend that time with. we have both grown as people & writers and i want to thank you for always being there to help me through anything. i hope i can continue being that person for you as well.

What would you do for vampire make up? I love crazy eyeliner and was thinking something with that??

Oh hell yeah!! We love vampires!

I would say that's gonna depend on what you feel comfortable doing with your skillset, but with makeup, I like to tell people that if they have time for it, shoot well outside your skillset. Sure, it might be frustrating, but maybe you'll end up with something else you like, or if nothing at all, you'll learn something new!

That being said, here are a few inspo pics for a quicker, easier eyeliner.

Or if you're feeling super ambitious, I thought these were hella cool!

Anything with an elongated v or wing is pretty much a go-to for vampires since it'll really give you that smulder.

Typically, when I do crazier liners like this, I like to kind of mismatch them a little. I'm not a big fan of symmetry, so if I did this, I would pair the top right with the bottom left. Do one eye super pristine and just do something crazy on the other. I apply this to regular winged liner too, sometimes I'll do one up towards my eyebrow and one upside-down. I'd say just play around and don't worry too much about them matching. Also, have fun with the colors. You're not stuck with black. Try purple, red, whatever!

Want a crazy color eyeliner you don't have? Spray a little bit of water in an eyeshadow and use a brush to apply like eyeliner.

There are no rules to fashion or makeup, but here are a few tips!

This isn't true for everyone, but in my time, I have noticed that vampire and gothic fashion seem to typically like to keep things very angular. So you'll want to try to keep clean lines. Your lines can be blended or sharp, but keeping things straight and clean or "elegant" is pretty common.

Most of the time, when you're wearing a heavy black liner, my advice is to smudge or blend a gray or a brown or more black under it. That way, when it smears, because it will always smear, it looks intentional. 😅

When I'm doing stuff like vampires or zombies (other dead things), I like to take a red blush on a fluffy eyeshadow brush and blend it on my lower lashline or line with a red eyeliner. To take this one step further, take an eyeshadow that matches close to what your natural eye circles are (for me, it's purple) and follow circle lightly building up the color until your happy with it. If you don't naturally have dark circles (lucky bastard), try to think of the colors your bruises usually are.

Another thing to do when you're a dead character is to use your usual base and set it with a white eyeshadow on a fluffy face brush instead of your regular powder. Or if you're not a base wearer like me, lotion/primer, then powder! Again, start slow, and a little can go a long way! Especially if you have a darker complexion.

Going off that, try contouring with grays and blues instead of warm skin tone colors. It'll give more of a sunken, dead look.

If you're not a big lipstick fan, a great thing to do for vampires is to use a blood-red color in the center of your lips like this. 🔻 I like to use lipstains for this since they're more sheer.

If you want to be a little grosser with it: take your regular concealer and add just a dab of a pale blue to it and mix. Apply your red to the inside of your lips, and let it dry. Then pucker, and blend the blue concealer on your puckered lips. When you let your lips relax, you'll have a disgustingly chapped, dead lipped look.

Also, drawing veins on is always fun! Use an eyeshadow or pencil for this. Look at the veins in your wrists for color reference. Draw some sick little squiggles and tap lightly with your finger to defuse or build the color if you prefer.

It’s a bummer we never got Chris’ backstory. We saw Xever’s and a lot of the other Foot’s but sadly nothing on him. I always wondered who he used to be before becoming the famous Martial Arts star to loyal ninja warrior mutant for the Foot and Shredder. What if he wasn’t always the Top Dog?

What if the episode about Chris wanting his humanity back was expanded, along with Xever and when presented with a chance to become human again like getting a certain ingredient or formula where only one can use it to turn back to human, they fight over who should get the chance.

Xever-It’s all your fault we’re freaks to begin with! You’re the reason I’m stuck in all this! Chris-I’m sorry, was I the one who made you steal from Master Shredder and got you thrown into prison to be bailed out into working for the Foot!? Cause I’m pretty sure you stuck yourself in that corner! Not me!

Xever-My life was already hard as it was but you practically go out of your way to make it worse and enjoy doing so! For crying out loud I lost my own legs!

Chris-Hey you got new ones! And they can crush stuff way better and you love crushing things! Usually other people’s legs! Xever-Ugh, I don’t even know why I’m trying to get you to understand my situation, you’d never understand what having it hard is like at all!

Chris-Excuse me?

Xever-Oh don’t act dumb, you don’t need to for that! People like you have had everything handed to them their whole lives! You didn’t have to work to get where you are, from being some pretty rich boy to some rich martial arts movie star and now to Shredder’s lap dog! Chris-You seriously think that I just didn’t have to earn my place into the Foot, to once have earned HIS respect!? You think just a bunch of money and fame got me into here!? In fact it’s the other way around. It’s because of the Foot, I ever became somebody that mattered…flashback

Way back, I grew up as a foster kid, going from new home to home but always end up being returned back. I felt like some weak little runt in the pound, a total underdog. The kind where all the bigger kids would pick on, the kind where teachers thought I was too stupid to be taught anything and as I got older it got worse. Pretty soon, nobody wanted me. The only thing that brought me some comfort where all those cool Martial Art films and shows. The heroes looked so cool fighting all those bad guys and getting through any kind of obstacle and everyone else thought so too. I wanted to be just like that! To be the seen the way everyone else saw them, to be respected, to be adored…to be loved. And I thought it would only ever be just some silly dream until…I met him. Xever-Shredder?

Chris- At that time, he was looking for new potential recruits and I got lucky enough for him to check for fosters like me who were starting to get too old for most to consider fostering. He was the first person who ever looked at me and not just pass by me like everyone else would, like he saw something in me that no one, including me could see at the time, I felt…hopeful. So when he asked if I was open to become one of his new students, I took the offer and never looked back. I did everything I could to show Shredder he wouldn’t regret giving me a shot! I endured everything he put me through, sometimes I wonder how I even survived but I did! And I used what he taught me to finally show the rest of the world what Chris Bradford could do and become the same kind of hero I watched on tv, some other little kid like me could look up to! I was finally the top dog!

Xever-Wow. Guess you really did earn your place at the top.

Chris-I did, but now? I’m a giant hideous mutant dog man, I’m constantly beaten by teenage turtle mutants and worst of all Shredder’s pretty much lost all care for me and it’s only a matter of time Karai kicks me to the curb to be just a nobody again! And to top it all off, I’m forced to work with some guy, 10 years younger than me who got where I had to go through so much more to be, by attempting to steal from my Master! Being Chris Bradford’s all I really have left at this point and I know that windows closing soon enough, in show business! YOU know how to survive on your own without needing conditional love. I don’t!…I can’t💔

Forbidden Life

this randomly came to me tonight. i came up with a random age for "you" but Austin is still his age in this.

hope ya like!

"Ugh, you're so lame" your friend, Tess says to you, over the phone.

"What?!" you defend. "It's extra money!"

You can tell Tessa is rolling her eyes.

"[Y/N], you're 24 years old. When are you going to stop babysitting?" she asks.

You sigh, "I'll babysit until people stop paying me to do it"

Now Tessa sighs, "Fine. I just can't believe you're not going to come to the hottest club in town all because you have to babysit some brat"

"If I make it out of babysitting early enough, I'll meet up with you, okay?" you ask, trying to make a deal.

"Yay! Yes!" Tessa exclaims.

You hang up the phone and gather your things to head over to your neighbor's house. They live about 4 houses down from you so you decide to walk.

You knock on the door and wait patiently. It takes a minute before the door swings open.

"[Y/N]!" Gianna exclaims. She was a tiny petite woman with strawberry blonde hair. She could probably use a tan, her skin was rather pale. Her eyes were green and sparkly. She's clad in a long black gown and platform heels.

"Hi, how are you?" you ask.

She gestures you inside.

"I'm great, thank you for coming. We've had tickets to this show for months!" she says.

You follow her into the kitchen.

"Please, sit. Carter is in the playroom watching a movie" she explains. You sit at the table and look around, wondering where Gianna's husband was.

"Austin! [Y/N] is here. We need to get going" Gianna calls from the bottom of the stairs.

She walks back into the kitchen.

"I swear that man takes longer to get ready than any other woman I know" she giggles.

You laugh.

"Well, don't you look cute!" she says as she notices your outfit. You're wearing a tight bodysuit and jean shorts.

"Thank you, my friend is dying to go to this club tonight so I told her if I get out early, we could go" you say.

Gianna smiles, "We definitely will not be late. Three hours tops"

"I'm ready to go"

You turn and Austin walks through the door. He's wearing a light blue button down shirt and black slacks. God, he looks angelic. You've always had a little crush on him. He is hot and who could deny that?

"Hi [Y/N], nice to see you again" he says with a toothy smile.

"Hi" you say nervously. "Nice to see you again too"

"CARTER! Come say goodbye to Mommy and Daddy" Gianna calls.

Within a minute, Carter zooms into the kitchen and crashes into Austin's legs. He wraps his tiny arms around one of his shins.

"Hey buddy" Austin says, picking him up. Carter resembles Austin so much. The striking blue eyes and shaggy blonde hair made him look identical.

"Hi [Y/N]" Carter says with a wave.

"Hi bub, you're getting so big!" you say.

He giggles, "I'm four!"

Gianna plants a big kiss on his cheek.

"Yes, he's a big boy now! And you better be good for [Y/N], okay sweetheart?" she asks him.

Carter nods vigorously.

"Let's watch Halloween movies!" he exclaims, wiggling out of Austin's grip. Austin sets him down and he runs back into the playroom.

Gianna laughs, "We should be home by 11. I'm going to go start the car"

She grabs her purse and keys.

"Let me use the bathroom real quick" Austin says. He grabs his junk for a second and takes off.

For some reason, that turned you on.

You walk over to the playroom and Austin walks out of the bathroom, meeting you in the hallway.

His eyes linger on your body.

"Text me if you need anything" he says with a wink.

"Bye Carter!" he says as he peeks his head into the playroom.

He grabs his wallet and stuffs it into his back pocket and heads out the door.

You take a seat in the playroom and replay what just happened. He said, "Text ME if you need anything" not "Text US"...was that strange? You feel like he was flirting with you. But that was impossible, he has a wife AND a kid!

It's about 11:30PM when they finally get back.

Carter is passed out in his bed. You're downstairs watching television in the livingroom.

"Helllloooooooooo [Y/N]" Gianna sings as she walks through the kitchen. She's stumbling, holding onto the wall for balance.

"She has had a little too much to drink" Austin says, trying to help her up.

Gianna rolls her eyes.

"Whatever. I had some champagne, maybe like three glasses" she says, waving him off.

Austin laughs. "You had 6"

Gianna sighs, "Okay, I need to go to bed"

She brings her hand to her forehead and groans. "My head is killing me"

"Feel better" you say sweetly.

Austin smiles at you. Gianna grabs a bottle of water from the fridge.

"Pay her please" she says. She blows you a kiss and she heads upstairs.

"I'm sorry about that" Austin laughs as he reaches for his wallet.

You giggle, "It's fine, happens to the best of us"

Austin hands you a wad of cash. Your hands brush against one another. You bite your lip.

"Thank you, I appreciate it" you say.

Austin scoffs, "No, thank YOU. I'm glad you were able to come tonight"

His eyes grow dark, staring down at your chest.

You start to get the feeling that he's attracted to you. It's like he's undressing you with his eyes.

"I better get going, I'm meeting my friend" you say, grabbing your purse.

"Boyfriend?" he asks.

You smile and shake your head. "No, my friend Tessa. She wants to go to this club downtown"

Austin nods.

"Do you need a ride?"

You shake your head. "No, no it's okay. I'm going to walk home and get my car"

Austin gives you a look. "Oh come on, no you're not. I'll drive you! You shouldn't be walking home in the dark. A beautiful girl like yourself should definitely not be doing that"

You were taken aback at his comment.

"Oh..um...uh thank you" you smile.

Okay, your suspicion of him liking you had been accurate. Maybe you could use this to your advantage?

"Besides, Gianna is 100% passed out right now and she's going to be snoring....I'm not trying to deal with that" he laughs.

You giggle and sigh, "Okay, I appreciate it"

You follow Austin out to his car. You hop in the front seat. It smells like a manly scent. Like ocean driftwood or mahogany teakwood. It's exceptionally clean.

"Thank you for doing this" you say as he backs out of the driveway.

"Anything you need" he says and shifts his gear into drive. You drive along the road and it's quiet.

He breaks the silence.

"Did you want to go home and change?" he asks.

You shake your head.

"No, I was going to go in this...or should I not? Do I look okay?" you ask, suddenly becoming self conscious.

He places a hand on your thigh.

"Oh no, don't worry. You look great, I was just asking" he says.

You look down at his large hand on your thigh. Fuck. His touch made you crazy.

He notices your eyes on his hand and pulls it away.

"Sorry about that" he says, clearing his throat.

"It's okay" you say. "I liked it"

Austin looks over at you with a smirk. You bite your lip seductively and slowly turn your head to look out the window. You didn't want to give him too much.

"So how was the show tonight?" you ask.

Austin shrugs, "It was fine, kind of interesting"

"What was it about?" you ask.

"It was about a husband and wife...he meets another girl. She's younger than him"

Your eyes shoot over to him and he's still looking at the road.

"Oh...wow, that's interesting indeed" you say.

Austin nods.

"Yeah, it was pretty wild. The couple had marital problems anyway and she was an alcoholic so the husband felt trapped and I guess did what he needed to do"

You were unsure if he was still talking about the play anymore.

"What happened with the girl he met?" you ask, curious.

"Oh they fucked" he says.

He turns to look at you and smiles. "Hard"

You gulp. Wow, the sexual tension in the car could be carved with a knife.

He turns onto the road where the club is and the car goes silent once again.

You shift in your seat.

"Was it good?" you ask.

Austin stops the car and puts it into park.

"I'm pretty sure it was the best he has ever had. See, this man was so turned on by this girl, you know? She was hot and she did things with him that his wife wouldn't even dream of doing" he explains.

You notice you are both outside of the club.

"Oh really?" you ask, taking off your seatbelt. "Like what?"

Austin licks his lips.

You shake your head.

You place your hand on his thigh now.

You look up at take sight of the club once again.

You grab your bag and sling it over your shoulder.

"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable" you say.

Austin shakes his head.

"Don't apologize, have fun tonight" he says, looking at the steering wheel. The entire mood of the car changed. One minute he is completely flirting with you and the next he's basically telling you to get out?

You open the car door and turn around to face him.

"I appreciate the ride, thank you so much" you say.

Austin nods, still staring at the wheel.

You close the door and he immediately drives off.

You try to hold back the tears. You feel embarrassed and rejected. This was not how you thought that moment would pan out.

You pull out your phone and send out a text in hopes that everything would be okay.

You slip your phone into the back of your jean pocket and head into the club to find Tessa.

hey, congratulations on T and top surgery, i’m so glad you feel whole :3 can i ask how many months you’ve been on T? was there a certain point that the scale tipped and you started feeling more masculine?

Thanks! I don’t know if I would say I feel more whole, but I do feel more me.

I think I’m not a typical case for testosterone because I had naturally high T levels beforehand (due to pcos we think). I already had a little beard going on and I have no proof but I think my voice had already lowered by a degree or two since puberty. So my timeline is moving much more quickly than is normally expected. I suspect it’s because all the little, barely noticeable preparation steps the body makes early on had already happened for me

But if you still want my timeline, I’m currently a little past 3 months on T! I noticed some minor changes like acne and some bottom growth within the month. I first got congratulated on my voice lowering at about a month in, and at this point my voice cracks are slowing down a little. But I was pretty squeaky for a while there and I still kind of am. All the other stuff like hair growth and bottom growth has started happening earlier than expected too. Technically I think things are supposed to start gearing up around 3 months

I don’t know if there was a tipping point as much as there was a series of “oh” moments. Like when I first noticed my belly hair coming in, when I first hit a note lower than I could have done before, when I felt my bottom growth in the shower (and later when I got my partner to take a picture so I could see it), when I heard my voice go squeaky with indignant rage just like a trans masc former friend’s used to. Every time I notice new or thicker hair or the deeper tones in my voice I just think. Oh, wow. There it is. And it all added up until I was able to look at myself in the mirror and have the same thought. Oh, wow. There you are, there I am.

And as it’s gone on, I’m finding myself in a place where gender can be fun in the way other people have always talked about. I’m thinking about new ways to express my nonbinary self in a body that might now start to be read as male, and it feels good in a way it never used to. I would love to be read as a feminine guy! I hated being read as a masculine girl.

I hope that helps. Transition isn’t instant but being able to sit and savor the change is life changing. Wheat but not bread and grapes but not wine, and all that. We get to watch it all happen, and it’s incredible.

Hiya. Hope you're doing well and having a nice January. Really hope this question isn't too annoying to reply to but lately I've been trying to create references for my OCs so that I can finally share my art with other people. Thing is, I'm completely struggling with creating reference sheets! When I start one, I end up just not knowing what I should add and I either get this feeling that there's not enough or that there is too much unnecessary drawings that are just there to fill space. Sure there's no real right or wrong with these but they never look appealing. I was wondering how that process of creating references is for you, what is it that you think about adding that is important in yours, especially when making one to share with other people. Things you think should be there, basically.

So what I always make sure to have for my references (especially my comic ones!) is a front/quarter view, side view, and back view!

For example:

Sabrinia here has really wild hair, and from different angles it doesn’t look the same. I made sure to include how her hair looks in the back, and I made it a little transparent to you can see what her outfit looks like behind. (Also obligatory BALD mention lol)

Now, the way I decide what and what not to add to my references is kinda on a whim. As for comic specifically, since I know how to draw these guys from muscle memory I tend to keep it simple.

But, for characters that have a more complicated design, I like to add little footnotes and images showing what I couldn’t show on my turnaround sheet. (I sometimes do this for my comic guys too!)

Another example, I just finished this yesterday actually haha! I redesigned her, and this is what I had to work with:

I sketched out her design and picked colors (I make sure to put them on the side so it’s easier to color pick and see values!)

Then after I liked what I had, I put that sketch on this reference canvas (based on IDW wonderful Sonic ones). I drew lines to matchup her main features/main guidelines, and sketched it out from there.

As I was drawing the side view I realized I needed to have two different back views since her design isn’t totally symmetrical!

I like to add silly expressions to fit the characters vibe in the top for fun! I haven’t done this with my comic ocs yet, just cause I’ve already drawn some expressions in the comic itself so I just go back and cross reference if I need to!

As for all the extra stuff at the bottom…

Looking at her turnarounds I thought the spikes on her wrist cuffs weren’t well seen so I made a quick drawing of those.

When sketching her shoes, I drew the open part with a weird shape and I wanted to include it since the gems covered them up!

Also made sure to have a good ref for her weapon somewhere too. Same with a harness for it!

Didn’t have any expressions of her mouth open, so I wanted to point out her weird teeth! And her eyes are shaped different, so I made sure to also point that out!

Overall, what helps me make references and figure out what and what not to put there is to think about what is important to the design itself. What id do is definitely be sure to have a front (or 3/4 view), side, and back view! If that’s too much just a front and back view are dandy!

For details, if there’s something in the design that sticks out, make sure to have that in the spotlight somewhere!

monsta x reading: jooheon ideal type + as boyfriend

hi friends! today i’m doing a reading for jooheon <3 i know it’s been a while, a lot of stuff has happened and im slowly starting to get back into tarot. im gonna create a guidelines list before requesting because i realised i was getting so drained when i was doing readings bc i wasnt invested in the ppl i was doing the readings for. so far im happy doing gen 3 bg’s, gen 4 not so much (had a delulu in my mentions which gave me the ick) but happy w doing gen 3+4 gg’s! i’m not as invested in kpop as i used to be but i do still wanna practice my tarot and intuitive abilities so im super excited to do this, you all know the drill so let’s go!

IDEAL TYPE

the moon rx, 10 of wands rx, 9 of wands, 4 of swords | scribe, gossip, firefly, libra: consideration, fairness and harmony

when it comes to jooheon’s ideal type i feel he doesn’t have an exact definition of an ideal type because he notices and likes the little characteristics when it comes to falling for a person. the moon rx tells me jooheon wants someone with a lot of layers, by that i mean he wants someone who might seem very “shallow” or unassuming yet has a lot of willpower and depth. when i was doing jooheon’s reading i kept hearing the words “underdog”, which makes me think that the word is connected with the moon rx by reiterating that he wants someone who’s not as they seem, in a way that they might look very intimidating but is incredibly nurturing once you get to know them. the 10 of wands rx basically is more of an affirmation for the first card, this card gives me the feeling that he likes someone who’s a bit of a puzzle and can take time for him to know, i see him being someone who actually likes it if his person isn’t interested in him initially. this card also gives me the vibe that he likes someone who’s gone through a lot yet still comes out on top. these two cards gives me an image of someone who has a lot of responsibility yet always perseveres, i also envision someone who’s the source of stability and hope for a lot of people, and is always there to lend a helping hand yet never asks for anything in return. 9 of wands reiterates my two points earlier, jooheon definitely finds people who are go-getters attractive. this card details someone who relies on themselves to make their dreams come true, could be a workaholic due to them very dedicated to their craft. his person definitely has a hidden level of sensitivity with the 4 of swords card being on the bottom. this card usually represents rest/relaxation/failure which makes me feel that again, his ideal type is someone who has had to go through a lot of obstacles that shaped them to be someone who’s very resilient, but to me, this card makes me feel that his person is very sensitive behind closed doors, which makes sense cause outwardly his person can come off very dominating.

scribe tells me he would like if his person had a way with words, they don’t have to be a lyricist but i think someone who’s well spoken would catch his eye. i think intelligence is also a huge turn on for him, cause he definitely needs intellectual stimulation from his partner (he is a libra after all). gossip card makes me feel that his ideal person could be very talkative, cause as i said he craves intellectual stimulation. i can see that he’s the type to want to talk about everything and anything under the sun, so he would want someone who can keep up with different conversations. the firefly card shows me someone with infectious positivity, as they’re often the source of hope when it comes to the people around them. his person could be the type to overwork themselves (just like 9 of wands) cause this card describes someone who has a lot of energy but burns out quick, but they do it ultimately to bring hope to those who need it most. this card makes me think of the character ray from the princess and the frog, how he’s a bit of a hopeless romantic, very protective of those he loves, source of optimism and is incredibly selfless. of course the libra card for the libra man, jooheon’s ideal type is someone who is his equal. by that i mean he wants someone who mirrors him in a way that when he’s feeling upset his person is upset with him, or if he’s feeling fiery his person is feeling the same as well. if you notice, the tarot cards i pulled for him uncannily honestly describes him. to me, jooheon wants to be in a relationship with someone where no one is overpowering or submissive, he wants it to be fully equal.

AS A BOYFRIEND

the hermit, the magician rx, 7 of swords, 8 of cups | avenger, king, hummingbird, saturn: feel restricted, experience struggle, learn hard work and patience

the hermit card tells me jooheon’s very private when it comes to relationships, he’ll definitely be the type to express his love in private which is unsurprising due to his scorpio stellium. this card can also describe someone who plays a mentor figure so it doesn’t surprise me if jooheon is very dominant relationships, i do feel in the relationship too he’ll definitely be more observant and introspective so don’t be surprised if he frequently needs time alone. the magician in reversed tells me that there’s two extremes to jooheon, one very playful and affectionate like a kid and one that’s very dominant and deep, this can be due to his libra sun (possibly moon too) and his leo mars wanting a playful and lighthearted relationship but his scorpio placements crave a relationship with a lot of depth. it’s as if jooheon has two sides to him and can switch from one to another depending on his mood, i do get the feeling that it takes a lot for him to fall for someone so if he hasn’t fallen for them it’s easy for him to detach, but if he does it will take a lot for him to leave, he really craves a bond that goes beyond physical and is more towards emotional/spiritual which is why these cards popped up. the 7 of swords basically reiterates my point of jooheon’s priority being his privacy but, this card also tells me that in relationships he definitely shows a side of himself that not a lot of people see and will be open to being more vulnerable once he’s committed, i also get the feeling that jooheon’s love language is very unique and he's definitely more action-oriented. the 8 of cups tells me jooheon hates to be controlled and will walk away from a relationship if he doesn’t feel it’s serving his highest good, i do get the sense of possessiveness from jooheon but it’s more cause he fears betrayal and wants to be the only person his s.o is affectionate towards. with this card i also envisioned jooheon willing to go through a lot of things for his s.o, once he’s committed he’s willing to do ANYTHING to make it work especially if he already feels safe with his partner.

the avenger card tells me jooheon is very territorial when it comes to his partner (scorpio stellium AND leo mars are we surprised lol). if someone were to cross his partner regardless of significance, he would not be scared to confront them because he HATES injustice (such a libra). the king tells me that from an outsider’s perspective jooheon could seem to be the more dominant one, but this is due to him wanting to ease the burden of his s.o regardless of significance. he’s someone who is a natural leader, but not in a boastful manner but rather because he’d rather deal with the burden not others. the hummingbird tells me jooheon’s very bubbly as a boyfriend, loves talking to his s.o about a lot of different topics. i feel he also wants to learn a lot in relationships, so he’s gonna be very curious and a tad restless as a boyfriend. with the saturn card, once he’s in a relationship he’s gonna be there long-term, it’s gonna be very hard for him to move on cause after all he is fixed dominant. jooheon would only get in relationships if he feels it could last in the long run, and i feel that he doesn’t want a relationship that is too “easy” cause he’s definitely the type to want to work for the relationship.

which of course brings us to michael. i like michael but he’s also kind of just not as interesting as the other characters. i imagine though that the 2004 writers room was overwhelmingly white and therefore just did not do as well writing the characters of color, so i’ll grant michael that forgiveness. i do like him i think the situation with walt is crazytown

hurley. not even my ouat bias could save hurley from being third to last. i don’t have a problem with him it’s just. he’s the comedic relief yk. and he IS funny, but like. idk. kinda like what’s going on with him and the numbers i hope that gets cool in s2

locke. booooo locke. an enemy of jack’s is an enemy of mine!! we’re gonna have a locke problem!! also i’m literally still upset about how he handled the boone situation. imagine you have trauma from your dad hurting you to help himself and then you meet a younger guy who looks up to you as a sort of father/mentor figure and you end up hurting him to help yourself and you have zero self awareness about it. kill yourself old man. your ass is not breaking the cycle.

sawyer. just. ….😒 remember when shannon was having an asthma attack and could have died and sawyer made it seem like he had her inhaler and told kate he’d give it to her if she kissed him. which is already icky. and then kate did it. and then he was like oh yeah btw i don’t have the inhaler haha! like. can you kill yourself.

and if i were asked to name my favorite episodes of the season? well most recently i loved do no harm, but all jack’s episodes were great to me so also white rabbit and all the best cowboys have daddy issues. and deus ex machina was crazy as well. and the moth. and exodus part one specifically but all three parts were pretty great too. born to run was also good! and can i be frank. can i say something we might not like. hearts and minds was a great episode… yes it’s the incest episode i know i was there… but speaking from a standpoint of like. what makes a tv episode a Good TV Episode, it kinda went crazy. i mean did we see the twist coming? for sure not! that’s tv! sometimes the point of tv is to make you go 😟 and well. hearts and minds did that…
