#people who are pro abortion rights

I just watched John Oliver's video on abortion rights and it was nice to see that my favorite game of "let's see how long it takes for 'pro-life' people to admit they hate women" is still relevant.
It only took a couple of comments for anti-choicers to devolve into "women need to keep their legs shut." Absolutely no blame directed towards men who impregnate women because as we all know pregnancy only requires one person. Also, it was awesome seeing people defend the fact that anti-choicers don't support social welfare policies because "why should we have to pay for the consequences of you opening your legs?"

“All of us who do abortions see patients quite regularly who tell us, ‘I’m not pro-choice, but I just can’t continue this pregnancy,’” said Dr. Sarah Prager, a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Washington. “We’ve even seen people coming into the clinic off the protester lines to get their abortion, then return to protesting outside the clinic.” [...]
According to Prager, the phenomenon is so common that abortion providers have a name for it: the Me Exception.
“We in the movement often say people believe abortion should be legal in cases of rape, incest and ‘me,’ meaning whatever reason is relevant for that person,” she said. And yet, she noted, of the many surveys describing how Americans view abortion, virtually none reflect that reality. [emphasis added]

Attempting a Laserhen comic of Jade and Dolph discussing the topic of abortion and it just, utterly fucks me up how very little Dolph values himself in canon to the point of being suicidal and how willing he is to be used by others so long as he gets affection out of it (or at least the false hope of affection) and the potential one can do with that in fan works
Despite what Alex has put him through , Dolph was so hurt by the fact he killed him. Dolph did not see any reason to stay alive after he killed Alex. We see in the first episode that Dolph doesn’t mind getting hurt and taking the blunt so long as Alex was okay
Dolph still struggles to see himself as a person with his own needs, instead of a tool to be used
And Laserhen is an extension of that! I know this just started as a “oh lol what if Alex knocked Dolph up?” And I got no actual direction for this but I think it’s safe to say this is at least a character study, of sorts?
Like Christ I think giving Dolph children through an unethical operation that allows male pregnancy on his body without his knowledge really puts Dolph’s views of himself and his bodily autonomy into question and perspective

ok sure, be fucking cynical about the world or the environment, whatever, i don’t give a shit. but you cannot tell me that when you see a child or a butterfly or a leaf just barely hanging onto the very end of a branch a tiny part of you doesn’t want to save the whole world just for them

Hey prolifers!
If you don't support a UBI, updated gun restrictions, free quality education, free healthcare, fully inclusive medically accurate sex ed for children who are capable of being pregnant or impregnating, mandatory child support paid from conception on; then you're not actually prolife, you're just hellbent on forcing babies and mothers to suffer :)

When you support anti-abortion measures, you necessarily support the surveillance and targeting of people who can get pregnant.
Consider for a moment that all your wildest dreams come true and abortion is illegal across the country. Consider for a moment that you will never be "one of those women" and you will never need to get an abortion.
I want you to think about how the state will enforce this law.
How does the state check whether an egg has been fertilized? Do they require any person with a uterus take regular pregnancy tests? Do people with uteruses need to check-in for regular ultrasounds? Just to make sure they aren't pregnant. Do we deny someone with the potential to get pregnant any drop of caffeine and any drop of alcohol during their "child-bearing years" because these things affect whether implantation of a fertilized egg will be successful? Do they make people do regular blood tests to make sure there are no possible "abortifacient" drugs in their system? Will they force people to regularly track their cycles on a national health app, accessible to the government and law-enforcement investigators?
How will they keep tabs on pregnant people and on people who can get pregnant? Will there be a national registry?
What if they are pregnant? How does the state check nothing interfered with implantation? How to they keep the person pregnant? Do they monitor their travel; makes sure they cannot leave the country? Will they be required to make regular doctor's appointment to check that they're remaining pregnant? What if they cannot make it? Do we send the police and a social worker to their home just to make sure they aren't doing something "irresponsible" to "cause a miscarriage"?
What about a miscarriage? Do they check to make sure an 'abortifacient' didn't cause a miscarriage? Do they need to investigate? Will miscarriages become potential murder scenes? How do they investigate this? Do they require these people to strip naked and then expose themselves to a doctor and investigators while someone shoves something up their vagina to "check"? How can they tell the difference between a miscarriage, an abortion, and recent sexual activity?
What if they got an abortion? Are they tried for "murder"? Are they imprisoned? Are they stripped of their right to vote? Are they executed?
When we say that this is about a fundamental right to privacy, we mean it. This is about reproductive rights and a fundamental right to privacy. This is about trusting people to make a choice that's best for them. This is about keeping the government out of medical decisions. This is about preventing the centralization and growth of the government and the surveillance state.

I hate abortion. It’s wrong, demonic  and it’s nothing more than an excuse for murdering babies and normalizing child sacrifice. I’m not against women’s rights, I’m against child murder.
If a women can’t take responsible they should keep their legs close. If a women can’t raise a child they should give it up for adoption. If a women a victim of rape give that baby a chance to live, it’s not the baby’s fault that baby is innocent. “My body my choice” It’s not your body that you decided to choose, It’s the baby’s body and you have decided it’s life is not worth living. “But life begins at birth” Life begins at conception.
If we decide as a society that babies in the womb are not worth saving what do you think will happen next? Kill babies when their out of the womb? kill children only a few months old? Kill children and teenagers because they are a nuisance? Kill the Elderly? Kill the disabled? Let people kill themselves freely because it’s their choice and that we shouldn’t help them get better? Kill people who have different viewpoints and opinions?
Answer me this. Where does this end? How far will we go? Is it ok to accept madness as our reality and just dismiss it as a person’s personal choice? No.
Human life is sacred and it is a gift and it should be treasured and protected. No matter the age, gender or color. God made people for a reason. He created babies for a reason. There is a new soul for every conception and with that soul there is life. We shouldn’t throw that away because we want to preserved our own prosperity and our own selfish desires. Everyone deserves the right to live.
I have poured my soul into this piece because I am upset with the injustice that is happening across the world. I do not expect pro choices to change their minds, if they are fully confident and fully trusting in their ideals then let there be no human argument against them. Instead pray for them.  But I will leave you here with three bible verses from the King James Version.
1. "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light an light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” Isaiah Chapter 5 v.20
2. “For you created me inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalm Chapter 139 v.13 and 14
3. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations” Jeremiah Chapter 1 v.5

Can I just say
The anti-abortion crowd. Like. I knew they were talking out of their asses because, y'know, they want to control what women do with their bodies.
But holy fucking shit they are either actually stupid or they hope like hell everyone doesn't look even slightly below their reasoning, because it makes NO FUCKING SENSE.
I'm taking about the ones trying to justify removing people's right to choose when and whether they have children on the grounds of the economy.
So get this. In the same fucking breath they say "most women who access abortions are poor". Right, yes that is in fact true and makes sense for a ton of reasons. Then they go "not getting those abortions wouldn't have stopped them going to college or getting a job or whatever". I mean, maybe? Also, fuck you you middle class think tank dweeb but hey.
AND THEN
They say "oh but think of all the talent lost to those abortions in the last fifty years, all the babies that would now be workers paying tax, being doctors and stuff"
Wot.
So, on the one hand, fuck those poor women, they should just have babies they don't have the means to support, and then SOMEHOW raise them into doctors??? Or even manage to give them enough stability, nutrition, support etc to finish high school and get any kind of job that doesn't suck?
Nonononono. Everyone with a brain, a functional one at least, knows that is not what happens. But this is their argument!!! Against abortion. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
Oh and then some other fucking douchebag goes "we've had fifty years of abortion access, why are there still poor women if abortions are so great for lifting women out of poverty?" Like this bitch either doesn't know or just refuses to acknowledge EVERY SINGLE OTHER DRIVER OF POVERTY that operate in the US right now.
I'm not surprised the US is such a shitshow considering there are people who believe this garbage, who get to talk about it as if they are at all intelligent, and people listen to them. What. The. Actual. Fuck.

SIGNAL BOOST for people living in INDIANA!
While not immediately affected with the news of ROE V. WADE, Indiana does experience health center deserts. These deserts prevent women and those who are pregnant from getting the proper healthcare they need. With the Supreme Court's drafts to overturn ROE, Indiana will follow after the 26 states that have anti-abortion laws planned.
I have resources down below to help find the best healthcare centers that provide abortions.
I also found an Indiana Abortion Fund that provides health and location information for abortion:
Resources:
Womens Resource Center Indiana
Planned Parenthood:
Chicago Fund:
Finally an infographic from Guttmacher Institute if this overturn is put into effect:
