I spent awhile looking around tumblr and other discords and there's a shocking lack of community that creates Percy/Nico fanwork? I couldn't find any events running.

And honestly, that's pretty tragic considering that this ship is 3/4ths canon (Nico loves Percy, and Percy considers Nico a close friend he's looks out for, protects and has jokes with). Not to mention, they're literally co-parenting a dog together?

Anyways, I wanted to get a sense if people would be interested in an event running for the week of Nico's birthday (Jan 28th, 2024 - Feb 3, 2024). So vote! Let me know your thoughts and in the tags and comments. If you see this post after the poll has ended, still feel free to let me know via tags or comments if you're interested. Anyways, if you selected yes to either options, please reblog!!

12 Days of Nicercy Christmas Event Conclusion

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in this event!! While the event is technically over, the AO3 collection will remain open until Jan 7th, 2024 just in case anyone is still working on fics.

We are going to create a Hall of Fame for the events on this account. Essentially it's a list of everyone who completed the event (made a fanwork for every day in the event) and for everyone who participated in the event (made at least one fanwork).

If you want to join the hall of fame, please share your nickname/tumblr/ao3 in this form here!

Also, if you have any comments, suggestions etc. about the event, you can share them here.

Once again, thank you for such a good turnout! We're still getting fanworks, but as of 27/12/23, we got a whooping 22 fanfics!!

I thought of participating for the big bang. But I saw the word "sign up" and umm... I don't want to sign up and not be able to finish and not post 😆 So I might just post my work normally if I do finish it within the week of the event.

Prompt: Percy tasting Nico’s food (preferably Italian)

I looked up what would be a traditional Italian meal for Christmas or Christmas Eve. Italian Christmas Eve dinner consist of fish and pasta based meals. And I chose linguine with white clam sauce for Nico to make. I don’t know how accurate this is, but I wanted to portray Nico practicing his heritage during the holidays.

BobInTheComments here. I want to thank you so much for creating this event! It was loads of fun and I loved to read/see everyone's takes on the prompt. Maybe you could create a winter event? *Nudge nudge* hint hint ;). I also want to apologize a bit because I had wanted to do so much more, but sadly I had some medical issues pop up that hindered my contributions. Once again, thank you!

I've been thinking about it a lot, and enquiring with couple of people as well. It wasn't possible in 2019 because it was too soon, but we could have another event in 2020! Along Halloween/Yuletide this time.

However it would be impossible for me to mod the event alone because I will be too busy. If there's someone else who would like to help organise and mod the event as well, we could have a percico winter event 2020!

We could even try for a different kind of event as well! But it all depends on the people willing to participate in the event

And you've done a lot! Your works were really amazing. I hope you've recovered and that your health stays well this year 💙 please take care of yourself first

Confused

Summary: Nico was confused to say the least. Over the course of his life as a halfblood, he developed a crush on Percy Jackson. This is how they got together.

Warnings: angst, let me know if I missed anything

A/N: This is the last project I have for Percico Weekend! Constructive criticism is always welcomed :)

When Nico was at Westover Hall with Bianca, at the school dance, he met Percy. That was his first crush. He was really confused at first. He thought that Percy was cool. But it was more than that. He wanted to get to know him more. He tried to talk to him, but the girls that saved them from that… thing… told him to talk to Grover instead. When he arrived at camp, he was really excited. He was eager to learn to sword fight. He was also glad that he might get to be around Percy more…

But then Banca went away. Percy had promised to keep her safe. But when they came back from their quest, Percy told him that Bianca had died, Nico wanted to be angry --and part of him was-- but he didn’t understand why he wasn’t at the same time. So, he ran away.

When Nico ran away, he was sad, angry, and most of all confused. He thought he wanted revenge, he thought it would make him hurt less. By now, he understood that he had feelings for Percy, but he didn’t like them. So he suppressed them instead. And, after a while, he thought that they were gone.

Nico was settled. He had found Hazel and Camp Jupiter. He wasn’t settled at camp, but he was glad he had found Hazel. His feelings for Percy had resurfaced. He tried to ignore them, but he couldn't. He didn’t plan on doing anything about it, but then Percy showed up and ruined everything.

Nico was back at camp. Things had quieted down after the War with Gaia. There hadn't been many quests. Nico had to admit, it was nice (that definitely wasn’t because he and Percy had started hanging out more). It was a beautiful summer day. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, Annabeth was totally checking Piper out. So, Percy and Nico were hanging out at the lake, when Percy told Nico to follow him. They walked along the beach, when Percy stopped.

"What are you doing..?" Nico asked. Then, Percy got down on one knee, and took out a Ring Pop.

"Nico di Angelo," Percy said, almost falling over. "Will you be my boyfriend?"

"Um… What?" Nico asked, dumbfounded. "I-I think I'm gonna go."

"Nico, wait!" Percy called after him. "Come back!"

"What?" Nico asked, a tear falling down his cheek. He was sick of being tricked. Percy could never love him back. He knew that.

"What the hell was that?" Percy asked, irritated. "Why did you run off like that?"

"I'm sick of being played with, Percy." Nico replied, attempting to turn away but failing because Percy had a tight grip on his shoulders.

"Nico…" Percy said, slightly hurt. "I would never… why would you…"

"Because you know I love you!" Nico screamed, finally pulling away and running towards his cabin.

Once Percy came to his senses, he ran after Nico. When he caught up to him, Nico was full on crying. All those years of suppressing his emotions, and Percy had the nerve to get his hopes up.

"Nico, I really do like you. I would never, ever do that to you," he was now holding Nico's hand, "So, Nico, will you be my boyfriend?"

“I'm sorry, Percy," Nico said. “I don’t deserve you.”

"Don’t say that, Nico" Percy told him as he pulled him into a hug.

A year later, Nico and Percy sat on the beach holding hands. “Do you remember when we first got together?” Percy chuckled.

“Yeah...” Nico looked down.

“You were so upset.” Percy said. “Why was that?

“Well… I guess I just couldn’t handle the fact that you liked me back.” Nico explained.

“You know I’ll always love you, right?” Percy said, leaning his head on Nico’s shoulder.

“Yeah,” Nico answered. “And I’ll always love you.”

Percy pecked Nico’s lips. “I know.”
