Angst HCs with Ghost Anon bc I haven't done one of these in a while.

Thinking about something along the lines of the Civilian Alpha Confession post, where Alpha confesses to Sasuke and he turns them down. Does he love them? Of course he does, but he can't accept their love right now. But since it's Sasuke, the rejection comes across more harshly than he intended it to be, and Alpha shrinks away from him.

They smile faintly and say they understand, but their eyes are sad. And before he can think of what to say to them, they walk away. He wants to go to them, to try and fix his mistake, but he can't in this moment. So he turns and walks away as well.

Time passes, and things aren't the same. It's frustrating to watch Alpha pull away from him, but Sasuke doesn't know what to do. And he feels too proud to ask for help from any of his friends. He wants them so badly, but do they even want him after he turned them down?

Ending can be happy or sad, up to interpretation :)

This is definitely sad, but I also can't help but think about how much of a menace Sasuke would be in this situation.

He would stew on it, blaming himself, and then the alpha, and then everyone else. And he stalks them, and is weird about it. Then, he sees them talking to someone else a little too flirtatiously, and he can't help but storm over and be like 'Mine. Back off.'

The poor alpha, who thinks they got harshly rejected because Sasuke didn't like them, is very confused.

It's not entirely his fault he has no social skills, but Sasuke is such a menace (affectionate). Thanks for the headcanon, Ghost Anon, sorry I derailed the angst with something a bit funnier, but I've had caffeine and I'm in too good a mood XD

I dreamt of Kakashi tonight 😁

It was Hokage Kakashi, he was developing a Jutsu that had the same concept as the body flicker Jutsu but instead of teleporting to a near place like the body flicker he expanded it to teleport to anywhere he thinks about as long as he has a picture in his head of the place he wanted to go, like he had to have seen the place before to be able to teleport to it (might have been a little influenced by the movie "Jumper" here 😂) and it doesn't need a special Kunai either like Minato's but it needs an insanely good chakra control or it can kill the user by draining all of their chakra but Kakashi has the insanely good chakra control and so he was able to do it with so little chakra that he didn't even feel it but he was still working on it so he didn't perfect it 100% yet when someone attacked the village, the attackers especially picked that time because Naruto and Sasuke weren't in the village, underestimating Kakashi and the others thinking that it would be easy now that they aren't there to protect it, there was a huge blast that threatened to destroy a huge portion of the village and kill a lot of people but Kakashi jumped in front of it and was barley holding it back with his bare hands like he did with Kakuzu and Hidan's attack here

But this is 100x bigger so he can't absorb it like he did with Kakuzu and Hidan's attack, he has to redirect it somewhere else, he can't think of any way except his new Jutsu, but he was still working on it, it's not ready yet and he's not sure what the results would be on something this huge but he has no other choice, he has to think of somewhere far away from the village and from anyone to take the blast to asap. just when he decided and thought about the place he's going to take the blast to and picture it in his head, his mind wondered off to Minato sensei and how he would have had no issue at all teleporting this somewhere else and sooooo thinking about Minato at the last second like that teleported him to just the place he had in mind which was outside of the village but in the past (definitely influenced by all the time travel fanfictions I keep reading 😂)... When Minato was his sensei (he had no idea the Jutsu could even do that) and that's when Team Minato who were returning from a mission heard a huge explosion coming from somewhere behind them, they ran to it and found a silver haired man who looks suspiciously similar to their Kakashi, injured and unconscious in the middle of nowhere, they were all gaping at him when Obito broke the silence by saying "umm, Bakashi, is this your dad?!" Because the poor child doesn't know that Kakashi's dad died years ago

Kakashi sent him a murderous look, Rin gasped and Minato said "Obito!" In warning.

Obito said in confusion "what?! What did I do?!" And ofc no one explained to him anything but instead, Minato said "he does look a lot like Kakashi tho! 🤔" Then Rin added "maybe he's from the Hatake clan?" But Kakashi quickly answered "as far as I know, I'm the last Hatake" then Obito said nonchalantly while picking his nose "what do you mean you're the last Hatake, idiot?! What about your dad?!!"

Minato and Rin: 🤦🏻‍♀️

Kakashi jumps on Obito trying to bite his head off but Minato interferes in time using his best sensei voice saying "okay, that's enough you two!..." Rin cuts him off saying "maybe we can figure out who he is later but we need to take him to the hospital now, he's wearing Konoha's headband so he has to be from Konoha, I'll try to heal him as much as I can but his injuries look too serious for just a quick field healing, he will have to go to the hospital"....

And then my cat woke me up because he wanted to eat 😶 side note: all of my dreams are like this, they are always like mini movies, my subconscious is very entertaining XD

Well, writing this made me tear up xD Ahh Kenshin. Approx. 600 words of poor Kenshin in the quiet.

Mornings were the hardest. Wan grey light, barely perceptible from the darkness, suffused the room. A pallid, clinging mist hung still in the open space beyond the windows, obscuring the garden and walkways. There was no sound, save the creaking of old boards and the distant whisper of rustling leaves. The quiet, the stillness, got to Kenshin in a way he could not pinpoint.

He felt restless, untethered. Lonely. A numbness sat heavy in his chest. Battle, Kenshin thought, would fill the void. The fight to prove his worth again. And again and again . . . There was no silence on the battlefield and stillness only came in victory. When all your enemies were laid waste.

Unable to stay in his room, he went out to pace the halls. His steps were the only sound, out of place in the serene emptiness of the early morning castle. Even the servants would not be up for another hour or more. Kenshin considered surprising Sasuke awake. His peculiar ninja would complain, but comply with the order to fight.

Normally that stirred something within the void of his heart, but not this morning. Shattering the quiet did not hold the same appeal it usually would. Kenshin wondered idly if that was good or bad. What change did it portend, if any? He could not say.

Though he would not admit it to himself, he knew what he wanted. Where he would go in his meandering walk. And soon enough, he was there. Standing in front of the cell.

Inside, the chatelaine slept on, blissfully unaware of him. Her expression was so sweet in sleep, a soft smile haunted her cheeks and her lashes lay like delicate feathers against her skin.

The sound of her breath eased a knot of tension in his shoulders that Kenshin had not even realized he carried. And in the abyss of his chest, there was a flicker of light - of warmth. He sat down on the cold stone floor and watched the rise and fall of her chest, the dreaming flicker of her eyelids.

It was easy to pretend, like this, that nothing was wrong. That she was as happy now as that first day he’d laid eyes on her. That her smile had not dimmed. He could enjoy her presence without the sour taste of shame on his tongue. I am protecting her, he thought. From all the world.

Kenshin leaned against the bars, pressing his cheek to the metal as if to a lover’s hand. This was as close as he dared go. Only this far, he promised himself. For her sake. He knew his love was like a winter storm, and this was one bloom he did not wish to wither. But even with this impossible distance between them, he felt something shift in him.

The morning quiet did not seem so empty now. It felt . . . peaceful. He thought he could grow old happily if he could only watch her like this, keep her safe. Keep that smile on her lips and the laughter in her eyes. He didn’t need them for himself. Only to be allowed to share them from afar.

She was a lantern in the dark, he thought. A light he had to protect. His very own star. And in this liminal space when night slowly drifted into day, he could briefly share in her happiness.

Kenshin sat and watched her until the light from the high window grew to a golden gleam. Her eyes opened, blinking sleep away. Before she could fix her gaze on him, he slipped away, back down the hall, guilt crawling up his throat like bile. Knowing in his bones that he could not keep light trapped in darkness, even to protect it.

Okay, I have to ask you this.

Did I actually influence you to watch Naruto all because of my hatred of Naruto?

Ahahahahahhahaaaaaaaaaaa.......

Yeah.

Okay, kind of.

Basically, you had some SERIOUS beef with Naruto, okay, like that much was obvious. And my good old buddy @stardust-maiden backed you up on that. So me being me, I decide "Okay let's see just why these guys hate this boy so much" (especially because Naruto is, as far as I've seen, one of the most popular anime characters of all time), so I decided to watch it.

And found that I really, really liked it. I'm only on the second arc (just been introduced to Rock Lee and Guy Sensei and also that was just so chaotic) but honestly? The characters just don't annoy me. Naruto's unironically my favourite character (and don't worry I love Sasuke too but I also can't take the boy seriously because he looks like a baby crow). I can see what people may find annoying about him, but I just find him absolutely hilarious (and i see why people ship him and sasuke too, although to me the team 7 trio have much more of a sibling dynamic. like come on only brothers could nearly die saving each other one day and then try to murder each other the next).

So yes. You hated on Naruto so hard I just HAD to see what was so bad about the poor guy XD

Ik they haven't interacted like at all but I love the potential of this ship. Shingen romancing pretty boy Ranmaru to get at Nobunaga, not knowing Ranmaru works for Kennyo!

Daddy Kennyo would be mighty upset w his old friend when he finds out XD.

Ieyasu has a lot of respect for his lord but what happens when he's called to his bedchamber for a night of passion?!

Calm, sorrowful Yoshimoto has the ability to ground the lethal Kenshin when his violent tendencies get too much. They also would look gorgeous together ngl.

Motonari x Yoshimoto

Again, I feel like Yoshimoto has the ability to calm people and I feel like the unpredictable Motonari needs that & would get hooked on the man. Plus, pirates r a very homoerotic group, what with them being alone at sea w just each other for company (look it up! History is great) and Yoshi would be considered a great beauty among them-Motonari would be beating the other men off with a stick!

Motonari x Ranmaru

Idk abt personality wise but I had an idea for an au where Ranmaru pretends to be a cabin boy on Motonari's ship in order to get info and all the pirates r won over by his charming, idol-like persona-except Motonari. Ranmaru is determined to crack the man's devil may care facade, at first because of his mission but quickly changes to his own interest. Idk i just think that'd be neat :)

Mitsuhide x Ranmaru

Mitsuhide suspects Ranmaru's up to something and in order to find out the truth he gets closer to the lad. When Ranmaru is found out to be a traitor Mitsuhide is the one who must torture him but he can't bear to do it and lets him go. For Ranmaru's part he has fallen for the man and torn between his loyalty to his master and love for Mitsuhide. The angst is piping hot.

Keiji x Kanetsugu

Something definitely happened between these two while they were spying together 😏 no doubt abt it. This ship got that good enemies to friends to lovers vibe going on and I for one think they'd be a power couple.

Shingen x Kanetsugu

But what abt Kenshin?! you ask. Kanetsugu is definitely in love with his lord. And Shingen knows it. But that man would flirt with a pole. He has absolutely no scruples when it comes to flirting and loves trying to get a reaction out of Kanetsugu. He knows just the spots to poke too.

Kenshin x Kanetsugu

Kanetsugu: My lord, I would do anything for you.

Kenshin: Kneel.

Ok so maybe thats more something Nobu would say to Hideyoshi but fanon doesn't have to be canon compliant!!! Whereas Hideyoshi would choke and splutter being told that by his lord, Kanetsugu would remain stoic and silently do as he was ordered. Kenshin would probably get bored of this behaviour and idk if he'd ever feel romantic love for his vassal...ooh the angst!

Nobunaga x Keiji

I can imagine Nobunaga getting bored of Keiji's mask and figuring out ways to rip it open and mess it up.

Nobunaga x Yukimura

Nobunaga captures Yukimura, wanting to use him against his lord but Nobu would get more than he bargained for with this fiery man. Nobunaga would tell him to kneel and Yukimura would spit in his face.

Nobunaga: Come now, pup, there's no need for that. Just /give in/ and it'll all be over...

Yukimura: fuck. off.

The battle of wills would be delicious.

Shingen x Ieyasu

What if Ieyasu got sent to Kai as a hostage instead of Azuchi? Shingen's a softie so he'd look out for the lad and a feeling of protectiveness would start to bloom in him. Ieyasu respects the man but thinks of him as too much of a flirt to take his advances seriously until one day Shingen snaps and...let's just say things escalate 😏👀

Kennyo x Yoshimoto

Idk they just compliment each other aesthetically. Rugged Kennyo vs beautiful porcelain doll Yoshimoto. They're both so calm and carry a dark burden i think they'd bond over.
