the phantom thieves physically go into a palace ruler's cognition when they enter the metaverse, but it's all just cognition, so no matter how hurt they get in there they're fine after they leave, they're only really exhausted.

HOWEVER i love the idea of them getting "cognitive" scars. Like, they're not going to remember every little scrape, and most of them are healed and forgotten, but the really big ones remain. The claw that tore Ryuji's back, the burn marks that almost desintegrated Makoto's glove, the harsh lash of a tail across Yusuke's face that goes down to his neck. Wounds that were healed and by all means shouldnt exist, but they made such an impact that their cognitions keep bringing them back every time.

YEAH i love love love persona 5 and all the relationships that you get to have with other people especially ryuji, ann, yusuke and futaba. i especially love the relationship between akira and ryuji considering hes your first friend and sometimes i wish there was like a little bit more for that story wise..

i think a lot of it gets marked up to akechi and while i get why they did that to really show the contrast i think joker has a really cool bond with the phantom thieves which is why i get kind of like [?] when people make akechi the end all of joker's relationships because i think that joker REALLY cares a lot about the other phantom thieves. that and i think it would also be interesting if akechi realized that joker isnt going to just drop everything for him just because he wants him to and that he actually has to share akiras attention like everyone else.... i think he would have more trouble grasping with the fact that not only do they like akira, but akira likes them back and theyre important to him, that he wants them there and he wants to spend time with them. but i think that way because i think that there is something wrong with akechi and its funny

It was a fun process thinking of how ortho perceives his brother. On one hand, Idia can act cocky and be his normal self when around ortho, but also Idia went through a lot just for ortho, so I found it fit for a cognitive Idia to be a gladiator. A prideful one at that, because he fights for his brother after all.

For his design, I drew inspo from Disney Hades and it shows.
