broke: wahhh no canon grimmons
woke: epsilon actively thought about and decided that in simulations run that grif and simmons would definitely fuck if given the chance and that’s like 600% funnier

ah yes, my favorite media. a grand story about the horror and tragedy of war set featuring a massive space war that was a rebellion against an oppressive colonial empire hellbent on conquest (which also experiments on its subjects), a main cast of mostly female characters, a key romance between two women, and a clone army of female super soldiers.
my favorite character in this story is a woman named rose. though not physically present in the text, her absence echoes throughout the narrative in a way that makes those closest to her do great and terrible things. she comprises one half of the key romance (of which the other half is deeply devoted to her even after she is gone). she has done some deeply awful things in her past, but that doesn't stop me excusing her shitty actions <3
wait, am i talking about steven universe or once upon a time in space?
(meme redraw lol)

Red alert + inferno wip and my tfcon haul
Cw: pin up/probably nsfw(?) further down
Yes I’m alive and back from the war, hopefully to stay. Unfortunately the fire department thirst brainrot took over so you all get this:
Something about those fire vehicles…
And here’s the pin up:
And my haul (ignore the sewing equipment)
Full pieces, and my figures being silly
I’ll do a more through tfcon/figure post later
Anyway…wfc Red Alert I’m just saying…

Very short Add-On to the last post, that I wasn't sure to add in as a reblog or as "Under Cut" content.
Originally the post wasn't only focused on Juan, but also in Federico. In my earlier Red Matador setting I had the idea that Fede was the one who spent his childhood overseas, but in Argentina instead. Then after returning to Spain he'd befriend Juan, who would be on his same school/community.
However with time I changed things up; I made Federico stay in Spain (Asturias, a reference to the potential cyclist he's based off) and send Juan to Mexico instead (Specially after learning about the country's tie to bullfighting), though at the cost of separating them until RM :(
But, is there somebody in Red Matador still with ties to Argentina?
Well...

There’s been a surge of Jason and Barbara talk in the tags recently and I’m not sure what has brought it on since they don’t seem to be interacting much recently. I’m genuinely annoyed when people ship these two because of Joker trauma when really they both are over it, but as a potential pairing I can see the potential for something great. After all aren’t the themes of rebirth present in both these characters? Barbara transforms herself into the all mighty Oracle while Jason turns into the tragic Red Hood, but isn’t there room for forgiveness and hope in the mix of all this violence? It is cape comics after all and isn't that at the heart of them? Love for people you save and faith in humanity, but also for characters to see better in each other and to forgive each other. Across different media adaptations Jason seemingly has had a respect for Barbara and it has been the only thing that has remained consistent. I don't mind the age changes that are made and it is less awkward then the other unnamed popular ship since Barbara had no romantic interest in Jason when he was Robin. They end up separated for a pretty big chunk of time and have no influence on who they both become later on which allows for no major retcons to take place. Note: they would also understand each other on a different level if post-crisis Barbara had been remained in tact. Her father was an alcoholic who began drinking heavily after the death of his wife and would take his aggression out on Barbara until his death by alcoholism. Jason had a mother who was an addict and father who turned to crime to give Jason a better life. They could understand each other in ways that have nothing to do with a moment in time in their lives. So yeah I can get behind it, but I don't necessarily think comic fandoms are open to change.
I feel the same way! I think it just depends on the content and context. It's why I don't get upset about Bruce Babs either. I mean Dick went a good what, 20 years without even thinking about Babs as romantic and vice versa. Characters rarely stay with the same love interest for multiple media adaptions or content changes. It only truly happens when it becomes iconic like Superman and Lois or Spiderman and Mj, and even they don't have consistency all the time. So until Dick, Babs, Jason, xyz, gets an iconic love interest, I think it's ok to just write a good story regardless of the ships.
sorry if i got off topic haha
