So get this, Kazuma dies and the army hes meant to lead into battle disbands except for this unassuming archer named Ryunosuke.

Both him and a cleric Susato are determined to carry out their late friend’s mission as far as their 1 bow and staff can take them. But of course they pick up strays along the way to their big battle. Little baby mage Iris with her dancer dad Herlock (he twirls her around so she can gain extra turns). Thief gina, dark mage soseki, ___ hosonaga, etc etc whatever. Whats important to know about this team is that their attacks and crits are high but their defenses are ABSYMAL. 

Its not until Barok Van Zieks, a fed up captain leading an enemy army, decides to join the team after seeing how genuine Ryu is about helping people, that you get a character with any decent enough defense to survive more than 2 attacks. He spends most his time running across maps to take damage for the entire team while also giving whoever a ride to a place they need to be. Thats right fellas, its all about taking the enemy’s best soldier and tactician and making him your personal body guard and taxi service 😌. And not to brag but Ryu does defeat an enemy state by the end of this story.
