Aurelius would be on the list as well given the witch had managed to get away and survived by will alone. “Fair point, if it were a dream I’d have given news that he died and we’re all safe.”

Her flat voice made his heart hurt some. “One more fight awaits.” His voice sounded defeated mixed with anger. His inner monster swirled under his skin, itching to fight. “I hope the next time there is news, it will be much kinder.”

His fight with Vecna had been gruesome given he guessed the guy didn’t expect the younger to have magic and a vicious demon inside that was ready to tear apart anything and anyone to protect it’s host. While Aurelius was okay with the curse taking him before, the Obscurus within was not as willing. “One more fight. And Hawkins can go back to how it was... we may never, but Hawkins will..” I hope, he didn’t add for her sake. “For now.. 

Have a little cake, I was told the sugar helps bad news get swallowed easier.” He held up a little vanilla cupcake with chocolate icing.

Ok okok let me smash my keyboard for a minute

I always liked how Sean Bean played Boromir; even during my twee Legolas years I liked how he played Boromir. But now that I'm working through his filmography, I can easily say he ABSOLUTEY KILLED in Fellowship. As other people have pointed out, a majority of his roles can be broken down into "wolf man with sword" or "wolf man with gun," but so few of them include THIS^^^^^^^ This gut-wrenching remorse! The sorrowful weeping! The wretched vulnerability! Even in Sharpe, which arguably gives him the most space for character development, we get a few sniffles and tears and the fan-favorite Mouth Rub, but we don't get this, not even when [redacted] and [redacted] die. He doesn't break apart like this. A Sean Bean action hero is stoic, longsuffering, a little sneaky, occasionally snarky, sometimes wicked, but to me that makes the emotional depth he brought to Boromir ALL THAT MUCH MORE AMAZING. The role allowed for it and he TOOK IT.

I know oda just choose birthday by names but thinking about cross guild and the moment buggy hears mihawks birthday date and it hits him what day it is. He could ignore this damned day and now he meets a reminders its existence.

I don’t think mihawk would celebrate but hope you get me. I need buggy to suffer and not be able to do anything with the fact that first time in years he’s forced to acknowledge the date that for so long was his only friend special day.

He realizes what day it is and he is awfully quiet and less assertive because he won't stop thinking about Shanks. But not in the way he usually thinks about him (angry and extremely insufferable), more in a melancholic, sad, post-breakup way he only feels when it's his birthday. Because he remembers Shanks' birthday and how they celebrated when they were kids. He remembers that there were times in which they were actually happy and couldn't imagine a future without the other.

Then Mihawk tells him that it's his birthday (for some reason. He actually never says it. Perhaps they find out another way) and I think it'd be extremely angsty if Buggy just?? Was angry at Mihawk for no reason?? The swordsman doesn't understand anything but Buggy is feral when he is around him instead of actually being scared or just, you know, sassy. He is actively angry.

Mihawk doesn't get it. And tbh, Buggy doesn't get it either. It is something he can't control. It just happens. It just makes him angry that somebody else has Shanks' birthday. Not because it makes him think about the redhead (although that is also something to add there) but because he is still a bit possessive of the date. As if nobody but Shanks and his memories of when they were friends should own this day.
