#one piece #sanji #zoro #zosan #utilities included #this week was… NOT a good week. i struggled to draw and i didnt feel well #and i was BUSY too. just a whole slew of things #so i didnt thumbnail/sketch this comic until tuesday. and then i like. did 2 pgs of lines?? but i hated them and deleted them??? #but i hated those lines and deleted them!! so last night at 2am (as u do) i relined all four pages. slapped on the colors. threw on text. #so apologies if the quality is off. haha. i rly did this in like 7 hrs and now i need to sleep #im just incredibly stubborn and refused to miss the second to last chapter!!! ok time to sleep im rambling

#sketch #my art #bnha #shigaraki tomura #tenko shimura #all for one #midoriya izuku #bnha manga spoilers #only after I finished basically polishing this sketch did I notice how it's basically dark and light mode #also the first one is basically a redraw of illustration from vol 11 #I know that translation of Tenko's words is different in official but eh #fanart #I've kind of recovered from recent chapters #and I was analysing those chapters all morning #I'm still thinking but otherwise the chapters are so good #also did you notice that AFO actually talked about how his other him didn't use that 'last thing' yet and that was in ch 410 #and in ch 419 he did so it's real and it's still sad #but still AFO was never hiding it enough #from Tomura maybe but we as readers actually saw his plans play out #in any case I'm still just sitting with those two Izuku and Tenko interaction chapters #I waited long enough #and if you don't count AFO's return Izuku DID save Tenko and it's so interesting #since he now has to save his OTHER origin that was in ch 237 taught to kill whatever he wants #Tenko and Tomura both had 'origins' chapters and for now we only worked with 235 and 236 #and even if Izuku helped with the start of 237 there's still AFO #in any case it was a hard week #also the second thing actually had them holding hands #and then I was like 'but at that point Izuku's hands are gone oh no' #and it was just Tenko holding air where the hand was destroyed #in any case that scene.

I've been reading a gomens post s2 fic which was summarised as mostly smut with a fun premise so I wasnt expecting much plot. I have been enjoying it but not expecting anything epic because well, its a smut fic right?

Except the plot just came and smacked me in the face and it concluded with the most deeply profound, epic, thrilling, heartbreaking and equally heartwarming conclusion that I had to put the fic down and stare into space for a moment with tears running down my cheeks. Worthy of Gaiman's own brain for sure.

I love it when that happens.

In my opinion, the reason the reunion scene was skipped was because the author couldn’t figure out a way to write it non-romantically and gave up after a while

it just. the set up to the scene is sooooo romantic. you have lloyd being absolutely devastated at the thought he's not going to see any of his loved ones ever again and that he's been dropped back into his terrible life, to the place he admitted he'd rather die than go back to,,, and then someone knocks at the door and when he opens it this is the sight that greets him:

his best friend, the person he's closest to, the one he's spent years with, the one he promised a peaceful life at his side, the one he wanted to grow old with, the one he sacrificed everything for, the one he effectively gave his life to save, the one he thought he'd never see again, standing at his door, having crossed literal dimensional barriers to get to him, a soft and teary smile on his face as he tells him "i missed you"

like. c'mon.

i'm all for platonic interpretations, i'm aroace, i love me a good best friendship as much as the next guy, but,,,, isn't this,,, like,,, really fucking romantic??? extremely so??? am i??? reading too much into it?? because it feels really, really romantic to me.

and like you say. where do you go from there. what response could lloyd give that doesn't involve throwing himself at javier and clinging to him with all of his strength. what conversation could these two have that doesn't involve them seeing how truly devoted they are to each other. what resolution does their arc together have that isn't them spending the rest of their lives together, at each other's side, like they so dearly wanted to.

but. alas. that wasn't the story bk moon wanted to tell. and that's very much his right. i just think that if he didn't want me to assume there's no in-character and narratively satisfying version of that conversation that doesn't end with them kissing he should've at least tried to give us something. and not completely skipped it lol

but that's just my opinion too :]

#turning novel #터닝 #kishiar la orr #yuder aile #when i tell you i read the manhwa in one go last night and then started reading the novel today bc commenters said it was good #and my god were they right #i'm 40+ chapters in so i've just passed where the manhwa is at rn and wow #first of all thank god there are high quality and easily accessible translations #second of all kuyu-nim has a way of making all the lines carry weight. the dialogue and body language cues especially #like i'm definitely not that far in but there are already a few lines i can point out that made my heart clench #and the tension between the two leads is so so palpable #kishiar is very enigmatic i'm very interested in finding out what he's really thinking and what his abilities are #and i really appreciate the way yuder's development is focused on him caring about others and relying on them #ok and third the fact that it's a slow burn romance but focuses heavily on the plot and politics and relationships is so good #based on the tags this could have been very tropey but they didn't go that route and i'm glad for it #in other news i'm upset about how yuder came out but i have to post him bc i will not separate them ;;; #thought kishiar would be harder to draw bc he's pretty:tm: and i struggle drawing pretty boys but yuder put me through the wringer fr #anyway!! i love them very much!! going a little insane over them as you can see!!
