When I am on my couch crocheting 225 granny squares to make a blanket and my partner is next to me coding a video game he is making for hours at a time I remember we are really no different than our ancestors. Just funny monkeys in love with using tools and making stuff! Using our hands! Just like our ancestors hundreds of thousands of years ago, I’m just like them fr.

Three years ago today i left islam, three years ago i freed myself from a cult (from a psychological standpoint), three years ago I no longer felt the need to justify islam's sexist scriptures, three years ago, I stopped feeling so much shame for simply existing as a woman. And I survived despite all the shit that I went through and for that I am eternally grateful. I am so proud of myself for putting through it all and still remaining strong and resilient throughout those past few years. Today i'm celebrating me because that woman has been through a lot. 12 july 2020- 12 july 2023

You are not a bad person if you have made the decision to live your life free of religion.
You are not a bad person for walking away from the religion that you were raised in.
You are not a bad person for questioning the religious beliefs you were taught.
You are not a bad person for thinking for yourself rather than accepting what you've been taught about religion.
You are not a bad person for deconstructing or rejecting religious concepts or doctrine.
You are not a bad person for believing that religious texts are fictional.
You are not a bad person for basing your values on sources other than religious texts.
You are not a bad person for being spiritual but rejecting organized religion.
You are not a bad person for rejecting both organized religion and spirituality.
You are not a bad person for being an atheist.
You are not a bad person for speaking out about the harm that religion did to you.
You are not a bad person for calling out religious institutions or religious leaders who hurt you.
You are not a bad person for acknowledging the ways that religious institutions currently are or historically have been oppressive.
You are not a bad person for being angry at religious institutions or religious leaders who have harmed you or perpetuated your oppression.
You are not a bad person for being happier without religion.
Your choice to live free of religion is not inherently a judgement of those who choose to embrace or follow their own religions.
You have just as much right to express your skepticism and lack of religion as religious people do to express their faith.
You are not obligated to be silent about your lack of religious belief out of fear that it may offend a religious person.
Edit: this post is not only for people who were raised with Christianity or who previously identified as Christians. This post is absolutely intended to be inclusive of non-religious and/or atheist people from other religious backgrounds as well.

An after school club connected to a group that embraces the virtues of Satan can continue to operate in the Saucon Valley School District, a federal judge ruled Monday.
The After School Satan Club is run by The Satanic Temple, a religious organization that promotes free speech, scientific inquiry and individual liberties. The temple's ideals are rooted in secular humanism. It advocates against hate groups, corporal punishment in public schools and religiously motivated attempts to restrict reproductive rights.
The temple's after school clubs, which have popped up in various districts in the U.S., allow students to participate in community service projects, nature-based activities, games, and arts and crafts.
The school district in Lehigh County had approved the temple's application to rent space at a middle school in February, but rescinded the approval after a social media campaign promoting the club violated the district's social media policy. Saucon Valley leaders claimed the social media posts prompted backlash from parents, community members and others who mistakenly believed the club was spon.sored by the school district.
The district further said it had received an anonymous voicemail from a person threatening to "shoot up the school" due to it permitting the After School Satan Club. The club's approval was revoked because its permission slips to join didn't explicitly state that it was not district-spon.sored, the district said.
After Saucon Valley prohibited the club, a lawsuit was filed in March on behalf of The Satanic Temple by the ACLU, the ACLU of Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia-based lawfirm Dechert LLP. The suit contended that the club's activities are protected by the First Amendment.
The lawsuit argued that the First Amendment does not allow the government to give preferential treatment to one religious group over another, even if a group's beliefs are unpopular.
Judge John M. Gallagher, of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, wrote in his ruling that the Satantic Temple's free speech rights must be protected.
"When confronted with a challenge to free speech, the government's first instinct must be to forward expression rather than quash it. Particularly when the content is controversial or inconvenient," Gallagher wrote. "Nothing less is consistent with the expressed purpose of American government to secure the core, innate rights of its people."
June Everett, the Satanic Temple's director of after school programming, applauded the decision.
"This is welcome news for Saucon Valley students and families seeking to participate in the supportive and inclusive community provided by ASSC meetings," Everett said. "The ruling affirms that schools may not discriminate against groups on the basis of their beliefs or faith. The district must allow all qualified organizations to use district facilities, even if some in the community object."
The federal court ruling in Pennsylvania follows a similar decision in February over the After School Satan Club's chapter at school district in Virginia. The Satantic Temple was supported by the ACLU in that case, too.
The Satanic Temple says it promotes the virtues of benevolence, empathy, critical thinking, problem solving, creative expression, personal sovereignty and compassion. The group, founded in 2013, is distinct from the Church of Satan, which was founded in the 1960s by former carnival worker Anton LaVey, author of "The Satanic Bible." The Church of Satan is also monotheistic, but its activities are more rooted in occult rituals and a membership hierarchy based on meritocracy.
Last year, students at Garnet Valley School District in Delaware County successfully lobbied to have the district alter its dress code to allow clothing promoting the local Satanic Delco congregation. The district had prohibited clothing with Satanic or cultic references. A similar dress code was eliminated the year prior in the Rose Tree Media School District, also in Delaware County.
Sara Rose, deputy legal director the ACLU of Pennsylvania, said the ruling in the Saucon Valley School District case reinforces The Satantic Temple's Constitutional rights.
"This ruling sends a powerful message that the First Amendment protects the viewpoints and beliefs of all people and faiths," Rose said. "When a school district opens up its facilities, it cannot discriminate based on religious beliefs. This ruling reinforces the principle of equal access and ensures that all views have a fair opportunity to be expressed."

Happy Atheist Day to all my fellow non-believers!
Being a Black female atheist can be a dark and lonely place, you really have to have a strong sense of self and be secure in who you are and what you're about, or else you find yourself pretending to be someone you're not, just to get people to leave you in peace. Plus religion is such an ingrained part of Black culture it can be difficult to separate yourself from that narrative, because we've seen it as such a necessary tool for comfort and hope in our community, it's easy for us to forget how it was enforced on our ancestors in the first place. People automatically want to label you as a devil worshipping heathen for being a non-believer, even if you don't subscribe to any supernatural characters period.
Learning to understand and accept reality for what it is has not always been easy but I realize now that 90% of the chaos currently plaguing this planet comes from people choosing to believe in what brings them comfort and satisfies their fears as opposed to understanding and accepting hard truths, and then taking necessary action. I actively choose to be a good person without the threat of hell or the promise of heaven. I also choose to be the master of my own life and refuse to accept the idea that I am simply a vessel put on this earth to do the will/bidding of a creator. So much truth, beauty and wisdom has come to me since I started this journey about 15 years ago.
In countries and societies all around the world, more people are choosing to emancipate themselves from man-made dogma and superstition. More people are choosing logic and reason over fear and ignorance and opting out of the oppressive patriarchal institutions that have dictated humanity for centuries. I will continue to unapologetically be a part of that movement.

Life has existed on earth for 3.7 billion years and flowers have existed for about 130 million years. That means flowering plants have only existed for 3% of the time that there’s been life on earth. And you just so happen to be alive at the same time as flowers! How lucky are you! Appreciate some flowers today!

There is nothing worse than wasting your beautiful youth in an islamic country, where people strip away your humanity, objectify everything about your existence and villainize you for choosing how to live your life and it's all because you're a woman. I can't wait to leave this hellhole and feel alive once again but I don't think i'm strong enough for the wait. I'm only 20 and I know i'm still young but the immigration process is getting harder as we speak and realistically speaking, it's gonna take me up to 10 years to get my diploma and immigrate to a different country. January 10, 2024 - Exhortation
You will be called wild and free and bring many to God's purpose for their life. God is calling you as a battle axe, an instrument of war in His hand, that will bring breakthrough and bring deliverance from demonic oppression and the Laodicean (Revelation 3:15) mindset that is presently vexing the church.
Challenge, convict and put a demand on people.  Challenge the antichrist spirit in the church."He that believeth in me, out of him shall flow rivers of living water" - John 7:38
