If you didn’t adapt then you probably got stuck in a habit or relatively fixed way of being. So we use our senses for feedback (sound, vision, touch and body position/motion) to learn a new skill or to refine and improve an existing skill – to learn to perform better.
We become aware of the effects of what we are doing, try new ways and then we integrate those ways that work better.
This ability to make sense of our sensory feedback in more and more refined ways is what people do in Feldenkrais – you can become more discerning and so your quality improvement loop gets more accurate. You can use this improved sensitivity to (body) feedback to improve all kinds of performance.

Me and my cat are exactly the same and it's hilarious. Like my gf just got a new rug to go over a cord we have on the floor (my autism along with some other factors make me really clumsy and I WILL trip over it so yeah) but she had me feel the rugs at the store because she wants one that's also an okay texture for me. Well she grabbed one and showed it to me and it's just *chefs kiss* very good texture. So immediately when she lays it down at home, me and the cat both sit on it before she's even done adjusting it XD

Snippet: of the story and one of it chapters
Chapter 1: The Gift of the Force”
Summary:
Kara is a young Padawan with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), who struggles with the sensory overload of the Jedi Temple and the galaxy. In this chapter, she tells her story of how she was discovered by Qui-Gon Jinn, who brought her to the Jedi Order and became her mentor. She also shares how Qui-Gon told her that she had a special gift for sensing the Force, and that she would soon meet her new master, and here to help the Chosen One out. She reveals how her condition affects her connection to the Force, and how she uses it to cope and excel. This chapter shows how Kara’s SPD is both a challenge and an opportunity for her, and how it sets her on a path of destiny and adventure.
In a galaxy far, far away, you were struggling to come to terms with your diagnosis of SPD or Sensory Processing Disorder. You found it difficult to focus during your lightsaber practice and were often overwhelmed by the sounds and movements around you. You did not know how others would see you as being different from them.
“This is my story before I became Obi-Wan’s Padawan.
“I have always been different from the other Padawans in the Jedi Order. They call me weird, freak, or drama queen. They do not understand why I flinch at every loud noise, squint at every bright light, or scratch at every rough fabric. They do not know that I have SPD, or Sensory Processing Disorder, a condition that makes me feel everything more intensely than most people.
Sometimes, it feels like the world is too much for me, and I just want to curl up in a dark and quiet corner. The Jedi Temple, with its towering spires and bustling halls, overwhelms me with its constant sensory input. The clang of lightsabers, the hum of droids, the chatter of masters and students, the glare of holoprojectors, the smell of incense, the touch of robes. It is all too much for me to handle. I often get headaches, nausea, and anxiety attacks. I have trouble sleeping, eating, and concentrating. I feel like I do not belong here, like I am a burden to the Jedi.
But other times, it feels like the Force works more for me than for the other Jedi Padawans, and I can sense things that others might overlook. I can feel the subtle shifts in the air, the faint vibrations in the ground, the gentle pulses in the veins. I can manipulate the Force with ease, using it to move objects, heal wounds, and perform feats that amaze my masters. I can also use the Force to shield myself from the sensory overload, creating a bubble of calm around me.
That is what it is like to have SPD, and that is why some of my days are hard. But then came a big day for me.
You were diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) when you were six years old, after a series of tests and evaluations by the Jedi healers. They explained that your nervous system was wired differently, and that you processed sensory information in a unique way. They said it was not a defect, but a variation, and that you had a special gift.
You had a gift for sensing the Force.
The Force flowed through you like a river, sometimes gentle and soothing, sometimes wild and turbulent. You could feel its presence in everything and everyone, its vibrations and fluctuations, its harmony and discord. You could sense the emotions and intentions of others, even from a distance. You could manipulate the Force with ease, using it to move objects, heal wounds, and perform feats that amazed your masters.
You were a powerful Force-user, but also a vulnerable one. You had difficulty controlling your abilities, especially when you were stressed or emotional. You often acted on impulse, without thinking of the consequences. You had trouble understanding the Jedi Code and its restrictions. You felt a strong connection to the living Force, but also a temptation to the dark side.
I was meditating in the Jedi Temple, trying to calm my senses and connect with the Force, when I heard a voice in my mind. It was gentle and wise, and it filled me with peace and wonder. I recognized it as the voice of Qui-Gon Jinn, the Jedi Master who had discovered me on Tatooine and brought me to the Jedi Order. He had died in a duel with a Sith Lord, but he had learned how to preserve his consciousness in the Force and communicate with the living. He was a Force ghost, and he had something to tell me.
Hello, my young friend,” he said. “I have been watching over you, and I am proud of your progress. You have a great gift for sensing the Force, and a great destiny ahead of you.”
Thank you, Master Qui-Gon,” I said. “I miss you. I wish you were here to guide me.”
“I am always with you, in the Force,” he said. “But you do not need me to guide you. You will soon meet the one who will be your master, who will teach you everything you need to know.”
“Who is it?” I asked. “Who is my master?”
He smiled and said, “You will meet him soon. He is a wise and powerful Jedi and a brother you have not seen in a long time have you Kara. ,
“Not yet,” Qui-Gon said. “But he will be, when the time is right. He will come to you soon, and take you as his Padawan. He will train you in the ways of the Force,  He will be your mentor, your friend, and your protector. He will be everything to you.”
I felt a surge of emotion. I was excited, nervous, and honored. I was going to be a Padawan. I was going to learn from the best and an childhood friend i have not seen in a long time.
Thank you, Master Qui-Gon,” I said. “Thank you for everything. I will not let you down.”
"You are not the Chosen One, but you are the one who will help him fulfill his destiny," Qui-Gon said.
I felt a surge of curiosity and confusion. "How do you know that, Master Qui-Gon?" I asked.
He smiled and said, "I have seen it, in a vision. The Force has shown me a glimpse of the future, a future where you play a vital role in the fate of the galaxy. You will be the one who will guide and support the Chosen One, who will balance the Force and bring peace to the galaxy."
"Who is the Chosen One?" I asked.
He hesitated for a moment, then said, "You will meet him soon. He is a young boy, like you, but with a power unlike any other. He is the one who has the highest Midi-Chlorian count ever recorded, the one who was conceived by the Force itself. He is the one who will be your master, who will teach you everything you need to know."
I felt a mix of awe and fear. "Who is he, Master Qui-Gon? What is his name?"
He smiled and said, "His name is Anakin Skywalker. And he is waiting for you sometime when you meet him."
He faded away, leaving me with a warm and comforting feeling. I opened my eyes, and saw the Jedi Temple around me. A wave of emotion swept over me. My heart raced with excitement, my palms sweated with nervousness, and my eyes sparkled with honor. I was about to become a Padawan. I was about to learn from the best and reunite with a childhood friend I had not seen in a long time.
As I got up from the meditation mat, I noticed a small pendant hanging from my neck. I touched the pendant, and felt a surge of nostalgia. I closed my eyes, and let the memories wash over me.

HIIIII how about 14 for Scar, 23 for Mei, and 21 for Greed for the ask game <3
14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.
I have. never thought about Scar's fashion. hmmm... I think his fashion is pretty practical? but also I love his stupid adidas pants. so I think he's a sportswear kinda guy. tracksuits and clothes he can move around in. but also I love when people draw him in a modern au wearing like, socks and slides. living that single dad life.
23. Favorite picture of this character?
fun fact, Mei has her own folder within my folder of fma manga panels, and her folder alone has 40 images. I love my daughter <3 I have a lot of really silly and really cute ones, but tbh one of my favorites might be this one. this moment is so extremely cool. I love that she takes advantage of Father putting a lot of power into the ground to instead channel that to her own benefit. she's so badass. this panel is titled MOST POWERFUL PRETEEN in my computer

21. If you're a fic writer and have written for this character, what's your favorite thing to do when you're writing for this character? What's something you don't like?
THAT SPECIAL GREED FLAVOR OF "POSSESSIVENESS AS A FORM OF AFFECTION." I LOVE HIM. I love writing him claiming people as His and knowing damn well that means a lot to him. just writing from his perspective when he's given something that makes his core go "mine mine mine" or when someone he considers his is threatened. it's so good. I also like writing him and Ling sharing a body, there's so much fun shit to explore when they're in the same head

Btw I discovered I can actually manage with digital art, I just have to glue a piece of paper on top of my tablet so that the texture is similar
Which is incredibly stupid but if it's stupid and it works then it's not actually stupid, soo

I'd actually forgotten about this WIP until I searched the word "heart" and scrolled until I saw something I didn't immediately recognize, and now I'm slamming my hands against my computer like dammit past!me, where is the rest?!!
This is from a ficlet called Molecules, in which Dean happens upon a sensory transfer spell allows the subject to experience someone else's senses for a brief time. It doesn't quite work as planned, but nobody is complaining :D
“Alright, so...” Dean ushers him into the kitchen, flicking on the overhead lights before he gestures toward the table. “Take a seat. I won't be long.” "You're really not going to tell me what it is?" "I did tell you," Dean grins, and shoots him a deeply irritating wink before ducking back out of the room and calling back. "It's a surprise! No peeking!" Frowning, Cas sits at the table. Dusts off the grains of salt that have been spilled there and wonders what on earth Dean could possibly be planning. If it's a practical joke of some kind, like the constantly escalating prank wars he's seen the brothers get into several times over the years he's known them. Of course, it's also possible that it's a gift like the tape he still carries with him. Though that hadn't been labelled as one until many months after he'd received it. It had been shoved into his hands as he was on his way out of the bunker with a gruff, "For the road," and a complete lack of eye-contact. He’s been waiting a couple of minutes, trying and failing to guess at what Dean is up to, when he feels a wave of benevolent magic shimmer across his skin and sink into him. It tingles and hums for a moment, a heady, pleasant quiver, before fading to leave something else behind. An echo of a feeling. Nervous excitement. Anticipation. Hope. All are abruptly overshadowed by a surge of contentment and chest-aching love so overwhelmingly strong that he can’t help but suck in a startled breath and grip the edge of the table. When he looks up, he finds Dean in the doorway. Concern, then. A rush of it, shading the edges of that love but not overpowering it. “Cas? Are you okay?” “I feel... I feel strange,” he admits, and looks more closely at Dean. A barely visible thread of light is running from the center of his chest, and Cas follows it with his eyes until he sees it disappearing into his own. "Dean, what did you do?" "You kept mentioning how much you missed being able to taste food and stuff, and I... Well, I found this spell." Reaching out, Dean touches the gray brick wall to his side, and Cas feels the rough surface scrape against his own fingertips.  “I had some help modifying it to exclude vision and sound, 'cause I figured that would get confusing fast. But my sense of taste, touch, and smell? All yours for the next couple of hours.” “Taste, touch, and smell?” Castiel echoes, and Dean grins at him. Castiel feels the love again, heart-thumping hard, but this time it’s his own. “Are you certain it worked?” “Why, you seeing double? Hearing echoes?”  Concern washes over him again, and he shakes his head. “No,” he says carefully.  Dean beams. “Awesome,” he says. Castiel smiles back, and he feels another surge of love. Love. Love. Happiness so strong he thinks he might cry if he thinks about it too hard. “So,” Dean goes on after a moment, stepping down into the kitchen and heading toward the fridge. “What do you want to try first? I can't promise five stars, but I'm a pretty decent cook these days.” “Could we... do you think we could go out somewhere for coffee?” "Really?" Dean asks, and clicks his tongue. In his chest, his heart flutters. Castiel feels it. He feels it. "That's it?" Castiel glances down at Dean's mouth before meeting his eyes again. "Yes," he says with a smile that comes more easily than any that have come before. "For now."

ECHOES OF THE FUTURE: A Cinematic Odyssey in 2060
In the vast canvas of the metropolis, the neon-lit marquee of 'The Odyssey' stood as a testament to a bygone era—a cinema palace where the magic of movies transcended time, now hosting experiences that were the stuff of science fiction itself.
The Resurgence of Reality
It was the year 2060, and I found myself at the threshold of “The Odyssey,“ the last standing movie theater in a world dominated by personal holo-screens. The technology that made this possible was rooted in the advancements of AR/VR integration with brain-computer interfaces, a field that had blossomed back in 2020, transforming the way we experience digital realms.
The Immersive Narrative
Inside, I was greeted by drones, descendants of 2020s autonomous flight technology, now outfitted with cameras to capture every angle for the most immersive films ever made. I took my seat, connecting to the neural synch device, an interface that evolved from the VR headsets and early BCI experiments, capable of inducing a full spectrum of sensory feedback.
The Journey Through Time
The movie began, and I was thrust into a narrative spun by 'The Storyteller's Ghost,' an AI that had learned from the creative endeavors in the early 21st century. This AI had been programmed to analyze storytelling techniques, crafting tales that could stir the soul.
The Reflection
As the credits rolled, I realized that the story I had just witnessed was not just a fiction but a reflection of our journey with technology—from the first clunky VR headsets to the sleek neural interfaces I had just detached from.
The Departure
Stepping out into the night, the tale of 'The Odyssey' echoed the sentiments of our current technological trajectory, where research in AR/VR and BCI is already shaping a future once imagined only in films.
And as 'The Odyssey' faded behind me, I carried with me a story—a blend of past dreams and future realities, a reminder that the cinema of 2060 was not just about the films but about the legacy of human innovation and our eternal quest to push the boundaries of experience.
