anyway pirate all of your digital media. even when you have already purchased it, pirate it also. ensure that the media you have paid for is contained in a medium that YOU own and have access to. that YOU control.
be a Good Fan and pay for your favorite content if you want, but then also STORE IT LOCALLY.
it's YOURS. it belongs to YOU. do not give them even the possibility of an opportunity to steal it from you.

🚨Iran's Navy took back its stolen oil tanker from the US.
Resistance News Network:
At 3:30 GMT, a security incident was reported in the Gulf of Oman. In a special operation, the Iranian Navy boarded the St. Nikolas ship, previously named the Suez Rajan, as it headed from Iraq to Turkey with 145,000 tons of crude oil. Last October, the US claimed that the Suez Rajan violated its sanctions by loading Iranian oil. To resolve the case, the ship was illegally seized by the US in April 2023, forfeited along with the Iranian oil loaded in it, to the US Department of Justice before it was renamed. In August, at the call of US senators, the US Navy unloaded stolen oil from an Iranian ship without considering the consequences. It is far from the first time that the US has stolen oil, either from ships loading Iranian oil, or through its continuous theft of 80% of Syria's daily output. This morning, the St. Nikolas was seized and transfered back to Iranian ports in light of escalating regional tensions, especially on the water.
Let me get this straight... The US Navy is conducting continuous operations of FUCKING PIRACY without anyone batting an eye to steal oil?
I WAS SUPPOSED TO LEARNED THAT ON MY OWN?

"Last time I saw ÿou, you said you would feed me prices of my flayed skin"
Ok, so ed is traumatized by threats of autocannibalism from his previous captain. [Aka boss] And when he is spiraling in self destruction, he does that exact thing to his close friend (+whipping boy?)
In his death images, the electrical activity happening as the body dies, his big radical shift in perspective is to place his behavior in the identity of his former abuser. And continue his own identity, "ed" in contrast, and at the whims of that person.
Now, the captain continues his life forward. Nourishes his body. Does what he has to do. And even, in this moment, treats him with respect! Dignity, even.
But underlying, there is a threat. Ed is afraid.
I think Ed has sought power to escape the abuses of hierarchy, and used those violences himself to get there. To build an image.
This made him lose himself, in a lot of ways. It's extreme masking trauma. It's made him feel so trapped that he has become suicidal, long before canon.
Ed realizes that to continue to be a pirate, he would rather himself be dead.
...or he can retire?

My journey with soap2day ended before it could even begin. I was planning to catch up on my missed shows and movies this month.
Please don't post your pirating ventures on social media. We need to have some book like piracy 101 for all the new pirates out there

one of these days i will make a norvilla for dummies post where i elucidate all of their narrative parallels and foils and why they work so well together as a ship because my brain has been full of nothing but them
#it's about ....  making a choice between love and a higher power ( duty for james ; god for esme )#it's about letting your love go because you adore them so much that you would never rest until they are happy and free ( elizabeth ; jack )#it's about parlaying with civility ;  maintaining the balance between roguery and nobility. selflessness and selfishness.#it's about fulfilling your father's story. it's about knowing how that story ends.#esmeralda FUNDAMENTALLY highlights the fragile boundary between civilization and piracy. a former navy ship run with naval discipline.#a captain who was born as and behaves as a lady. and yet will always be seen as ungodly ; as a monster ; as a sinner#( you can never return to heaven once fallen although you can masquerade as charmingly as they can. because that's all it is. masquerade. )#and james is undergoing the same journey from the other side of the coin.#my story is exactly the same as your story just one chapter behind#but the reason why they *work* as a romantic couple more so than just the chemistry of sexy pirate lady x repressed naval captain#is that they both want the same thing. enduring commitment. love. marriage. family. lineage. something bigger than themselves.#in a story where everyone can die tomorrow and the flings change with the wind james & esme  *need* to devote themselves to something#they are consumed with it. and being together offers them the chance to be consumed with love rather than revenge.#✘; I HAVE SEVENTY TWO EXAMS AND I HAVE NOT STUDIED FOR ONE ( ooc )

the tricky thing about pirates is that when you get down to it it’s really hard to get around the fact that they are, like, actual bad guys
#if you take the 'violently attacking other ships for their cargo and raiding port towns' out of pirates you literally no longer have pirates#Golden Age Pirates are very romanticized and beloved (I am not excluding myself!)#but if you're gonna try to frame them as good guys you're almost explicitly backed into the corner of#'they're fighting other pirates but those pirates are mean' or 'they're fighting the navy'#or you just kinda don't examine them too closely at all which happens a lot with pirates that aren't at the center of the story lol#like! even in most of the most famous pirate fiction the pirates ARE the bad guys!#WHICH LIKE... isn't even necessarily a bad thing or a hurdle per se in traditional narrative settings#I was just thinking about this re: gnome pirates oneshot/ possibly miniseries gfdhjkdgfhd#like... it's not an Evil Campaign I think we're all sort of playing it in the same you know romanticized pirate spirit#but that does make it a little awkward thinking about possible future ventures lmao#'you outran some pirate bounty hunters and explored a ghost ship!' oh cool! what else do pirates do :)#it's not really like thieves where you can do like... 'oh a sexy museum heist that feels impersonal' or 'I only steal from rich bastards'#with pirates it really feels like. they're gonna be attacking and sinking ships to steal all their shit. like that's the whole thing lmao#don't get me wrong Indigo is chaotic neutral I know perfectly well how they got here and where their morals lie#it's just sort of a... you know... how many Fun Wacky Gnomish Adventures :) can we actually do while avoiding doing actual piracy lol#like I'm not against a 'this one shot is about raiding a merchant ship' it just feels like something people usually avoid w pirate protags#we're bad guys! we're textually bad guys! it's weird to reconcile with the fact that 'being evil' isn't afaik the usual appeal of pirates

🐇👙 makino & shanks :)))
Bunny meme Not Accepting @pareidolah
He blinked several times at the bunny suit that was dangling in Makinos hands. This wasn't what he had had in mind when she had mentioned having a surprise for him, but he wasn't complaining either. Who was he to refuse her if she asked him to dress up for her? The things he would do to make her happy...
It takes some time until he's fully dressed up for her, but there is no shame as he turns for her, showing off and flexing his muscles a bit. "So? What do you think?"

one thing about me is i can excuse basically any crime if you serve enough cunt. murder, piracy, arson, cannibalism, theft, all of that is ok for me if you’re real sexy about it. i have a purely vibes-based morality system
