summary: she doesn't remember exactly how they stopped talking. maybe it happened when catra moved in with her friend, scorpia, after finishing school. maybe it happened four years before, and she just didn't see the signs. or maybe it was sudden, and it was her fault. whatever it was, it's been carefully erased from her memory, piece by piece. and it hurts, because she hates not knowing. she hates missing catra. she hates this feeling more than she can ever express. maybe it happened after the kiss. or several years after they fall apart, a broken and exhausted adora shows up on catra's doorstep at 4 in the morning. and now they've got to fix what they broke.

summary: Catra rushes her eyes to the girl on his right. Her clothes almost match Catra’s — dark pants, white blouse, although they’re not even as loose as Catra’s. She’s not really used to seeing other girls dressed like her. The dark blue corduroy coat stands out just a little too much against her fair skin, and it does not fit the high ponytail featuring a hair puff. And her brows — furrowed as if they had been born like this. She adverts her eyes and bites her tongue, does not think about the vague impression of seeing the ponytail move abruptly when she looks up again. Instead, she turns to Glimmer, who says softly: “That was Ms. Grayskull.”

Or: 

The arrival of Ms. Grayskull is an event to the county, but Catra could not care less about a ghost of her past. (a catradora pride and prejudice au written for @sherabigbang)

Thrilled to finally be able to post my work for the @sherabigbang 2021!

Summary: The London Season is beginning, and Adora Grayskull needs to find someone who will marry her by the end of the season if she wants to avoid financial ruin. That's when she runs into-literally-her childhood friend at the very first ball of the season. It's just her luck that her mother gets it in her head that a Duchess would make an excellent match, especially since Adora knows that the last thing Catra is interested in is marriage.

When the portal opens, Adora and the world as she knows it are turned upside-down. Space and time are torn apart as she falls through a series of alternate realities, facing Catra, or the memory of her, each time. What she has to figure out now is, how does she make the jump home?
