Frozen: Home

It’s been one of those nice, lazy days with Thor and Astrid. You’d done some coloring while Thor watched tapes, then there’d been snack and then you played outside and had dinner. Now you’re laying on partially on top of Thor on the couch, one arm draped over Astrid who is fully on top of her dad.

It’s not exactly easy seeing over Astrid but you don’t care, you love that you’re here with them. Thor’s got one hand around you and one around Astrid, he trails his fingers along your arm as he watches the movie Astrid had chosen. You watch him.

“Enjoying the movie Kattunge?” Thor teases looking down at you.

“Yea, it’s cute.” You tell him with a smile and he grins down at you.

“Cute huh?” He murmurs, “I was thinking more like ruggedly handsome.”

“That too. And charming, and kind and safe and wonderful.”

“You flatter me Kattunge.”

“I mean every word.” His large hand pats your ass and you laugh softly, careful not to wake Astrid who you’ve heard snore softly since the movie started. You press a soft kiss to his jaw and he hums softly.

When the movie ends you slowly and carefully maneuver yourself off of Thor who slowly stands with Astrid in his arms.

“Papa want Moxie.” She murmurs and it warms your heart. Thor looks over at you with a raised brow and you nod holding out your arms for Astrid.

“Maybe just follow us in case.”

“I’ve got you.” He assures and you carry a sleepy Astrid to bed. After you tuck her in you press a soft kiss to her forehead then head to the door where Thor is waiting. He holds a hand out for yours and you take it.

Neither of you speak until you get to his room and he’s shut the door.

“Move in with us.” He says softly, and you blink up at him in surprise. “You’re here five out of seven nights anyway. Astrid loves you, I love you, you should just move in.”

“Okay.” You agree and he grins down at you before pressing a kiss to your lips. “Now I just have to tell Yelena.”

“Maybe now would be a good time for her to move in with Loki.” Thor suggests and you laugh,

“Thor it’s been like a month.”

“Yea, but they’re a great match.” He says sitting down on the side of the bed.

“I’ll mention it.” You tell him before slipping into his lap. “You’re sure Astrid is okay with this?”

“Yes, actually she wanted to ask you so can you pretend I didn’t when she asks tomorrow?”

“You want me to lie to your child?”

“Yes please.” He says cheerfully and you laugh again.

“Okay, fine. But next time we paint your nails in your sleep you best pretend you’re asleep the whole time.”

“Fine.” He agrees and you kiss him softly. You can’t wait to wake up to him every day.

“What about Sif?”

“What about Sif?” He repeats in confusion.

“She doesn’t exactly like me so I can’t imagine she’ll be thrilled to have me living here.”

“I have full custody. If I don’t want her to even see Astrid I don’t have to let her.” He reminds you, “besides, Astrid and I love you and that’s what matters.”

“I love you too. Both of you.” You tell him before he kisses you gently.

You go to bed not long after that, when the lights are off and Thor is sound asleep you can’t help but grin up at the ceiling. You’re moving in with him and his sweet daughter and you cannot wait.

The next morning a small body clambers into the bed next to you.

“Moxie are you awake?” Astrid stage whispers and you let out a loud, fake snore causing her to giggle. “Moxie!”

“It can’t possibly be morning already.” You murmur cracking an eye open.

“My alarm was green!” She says happily and you roll into Thor who wraps an arm around you.

“Come on A. Join the cuddle.” You tell her and she clambers over you to wiggle in between you and Thor.

“Moxie?” Astrid asks softly after the three of you are comfortable, “Can we do this every morning?”

“Well, I’m not here every morning.” You tell her hoping that gets her to ask you to move in.

“Papa can I now?”

“Yea.”

“Moxie will you move in?”

“With you and your dad?”

“Yea.” She says her bright blue eyes on your face.

“I think that sounds wonderful Astrid.” She sighs happily then snuggles down and quickly falls back asleep. Thor gives your hand a gentle squeeze,

“I love you.” He whispers and you whisper it back,

“I love you.”

i keep seeing ppl in the notes on my camila post being all like "dont drag greg universe he was a great dad" which yeah, he was! i'd never argue against that. he did so good with what he had, but i would not say that greg was ever as involved in steven's life as much as he should have been.

the mr. universe episode in SU:F is proof of this. greg had helicopter parents that micromanaged him, so greg did what anyone would: he raised steven in the exact opposite way. is that a bad thing? depends on how you look at it. let me explain my perception:

steven grew up with so much freedom. he was allowed to eat what he wanted, dress himself how he wanted, go where he wanted, and do what he wanted. greg gave steven everything he never had growing up, but in doing so he deprived steven of everything he did have as a kid.

the reason steven clings to tightly to routines, schedules, specific diets & mealtimes, work, academics, etc. is because he did not have access to these things as a child. do you know how important routine is for a growing child? steven didn't even have a specific bedtime as a child. that shit absolutely fucks with your entire circadian rhythm later in life.

to be fair, i believe greg did the right thing with keeping steven out of public school. he wouldn't have thrived in that environment at all and it wouldve done more harm than good and greg did a great job making sure that steven wasnt too emotionally or socially stunted from this choice.

but everything else... the no doctor appts, no dentists, no bedtime, no mealtimes, no private bedroom, no supervision for like 80% of the time-- like, greg didn't even homeschool steven beyond third grade, probably.

greg was a good man for getting over his anxiety around magic/gem stuff enough to allow steven be so heavily involved in it. he recognized that steven needed to integrate with gem stuff to have that connection to his mother. i will never argue that greg should've sheltered steven more. he raised a good fucking kid. and without steven's involvement, the earth would've literally been destroyed.

but here's the problem. greg was more worried about being like his parents than he was of the effects this shit would have on steven's life. he made steven feel like he had to choose between two worlds. like he wasn't allowed to be both gem and human because greg would flinch and look away from steven's powers.

i do not blame him. he's only human and hindsight is a bitch. but we cannot deny that greg did in fact neglect steven by not being more involved with steven's life as a gem.

was greg a bad father? no. not at all. he made mistakes. all parents do. but greg often and actively refused to be involved in such a major part of steven's life. even if we factor in that the crystal gems themselves made him feel unwelcome, it still doesn't ever excuse it.

I think one of funniest things to me is that even when dean and cas are talking half of the time it's either about sam or it's "where's sam", "i need to see sam", "you need to take care of sam" etc etc. Like i just find it funny that dean only prays both to cas and god and asks them to watch over sam.

Random LU AU Time!

As the Chain go out and about on there adventure and some time passes, some other portals are opened and bring more heros along... well, they were supposed to, anyways. While the Chain is none the wiser, close friends/family are being dragged along into another group, even those who cannot defend themselves.

This group would contain characters like Aryll (WW), Malon, Rusl (TP), Ravio (LBW), Shadow (Four Swords Manga), Impa (HW), Zelda (BOTW), Groose (SS), and one of Hyrules Zelda's (I know this makes two Zeldas in total but idk who else to put)

Maybe i'll make more stuff for this AU, maybe not, but this came to my mind and I found it funny. Also! If anyone has a better idea for Wild's or Hyrule's, lemme know!

Frozen: Hotel

You’re exhausted. It’s been a long day and the first day of a four game road trip. It’s going to be nearly two weeks on the road and you just know it’s going to be nuts. You put your key in the door and the light turns red.

What the hell? You check the room number, you’re at the right room so you try the key again. Same result, the light blinks red and doesn’t let you in. The door does swing open but before you can go in Jane shoves your bag out the door.

“You’re not staying in here. I’m not comfortable with being around someone who fucks her way into a job.” She slams the door shut before you can respond and you hear her really lock you out. What the hell.

You’re too tired for this bullshit. You head down to the lobby pulling your bag behind you. When you get to the front desk the woman working there gives you a smile.

“Hi, how can I help you?”

“I’m here with Asgard, I need a room please.” She looks confused at this, which is fair considering you checked in several hours ago.

“Ma’am all those rooms have been filled.”

“I know but my co-worker, who is supposed to be my roommate has locked me out. She won’t let me in. Can I please just get another room?”

“I’m sorry but I can’t do that. All rooms have been assigned.”

“I can show you my staff ID? I really just want to go to bed.”

“I can give you a regularly priced room but not one at the team price.” You close your eyes and sigh softly, it doesn’t seem like you have much of a choice. You’ll just have to turn in the receipt and hope it gets approved.

“Okay. Can you put me on the 14th floor please?”

“No, that floor is for the team.”

“I am part of the team. I’m the athletic trainer.” You tell her and she looks skeptically at you. You’re too damn tired for this.

“I have an ID that says I’m staff can you please, please just put me on their floor? I don’t want anything to happen and not know.”

“I’m sorry ma’am.” She says but she doesn’t seem sorry.

“Moxie?” A deep voice says from behind you, when you turn and look you see Heimdall. “Where are you going?”

“I’m trying to get a room.”

“What do you mean? You don’t have a room?”

“Apparently I’m unwelcome in the room with Jane because I’m and I quote, ‘fucking my way to the top of my job’ and now I can’t get on the same floor or the team discount.”

“What the fuck. This is ridiculous. Have you called Thor?”

“No, I didn’t think he’d still be awake, he usually crashes hard after games.”

“He has his own room. Come on.” He grabs your suitcase and starts dragging it behind him. You follow him, bleary eyed, back to the elevator. You ride up in silence but before the doors open you say,

“Can you not say anything to Thor about this please?”

“What do you plan on telling him?”

“I don’t know. I just, there’s enough friction with Jane as it is and I’m too tired to deal with it today.”

“Are you sure?” He asks as the door slides open and you nod. “Okay, he’s in 1422.” You walk together to his door and before you can knock gently Heimdall pounds on the door. It doesn’t take long for Thor’s door to swing open and reveal him in low slung pajama pants and no shirt.

“Can I stay with you?” You ask, you know your eyes are practically begging to come in and Thor opens the door wide for you stepping out of your way. You grab your suitcase from Heimdall and give him a soft smile,

“Thanks for the help.” You tell him before you move into Thor’s room. You hear the two men softly talking then the door closes.

“Is everything okay?” Thor asks and you look over at him.

“I’m so fucking tired.” You tell him dropping to the end of his bed.

“So why aren’t you asleep in your room with Jane? Not that I’m complaining about you being here.”

“Long story. Can we please go to sleep?”

“Of course.” He agrees but the look on his face tells you this conversation isn’t over. You change and get ready for bed before joining Thor. He curls an arm around your waist and you sigh happily sliding your fingers between his.

“Kattunge? What happened tonight.”

“Just missed you.” Which isn’t exactly a lie, you always sleep better with him.

“As much as I like you in my bed I don’t think that’s the truth. Or at least not all of it.”

“I don’t want to deal with Jane and her snide comments.”

“So this is about Jane.” He says and you hum softly, your eyes are closed and you’re quickly starting to fade. “Kattunge, you can’t let her bully you.”

“I’m not, I’m picking my battles.” You murmur and he sighs heavily.

“I’ll let it go for now,” Thor says, “But I won’t have her harassing you because she had a crush on me.” Your eyes pop open at this, this was new information.

“That does explain a lot.” You murmur, you wouldn’t like someone else dating him much either. But he chose you, that’s not your fault and if Jane doesn’t like it she’s going to have to learn to deal with it.

“Let’s get some sleep okay Kattunge.”

“Fuckin’ finally.” You mutter and he laughs before kissing your shoulder. It’s then that you finally get some sleep.

The rest of the road trip you don’t even bother trying to stay with Jane. You know that Thor gets some teasing after Loki finds out that you’re staying with him but neither of you mind much.

It’s not until the last night that he mentions it again.

“Kattunge?” He says, his voice soft, “what happened with Jane?” You sigh heavily before looking over at him.

“She refused to let me stay with her because I was fucking my way into a job.” He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath,

“Are you fucking kidding me?”

“I wish I was. Please don’t do anything about this. I don’t care what she thinks of me, I just want to be able to work in peace.”

“I don’t like it.”

“I know but this is my career and my decision. I don’t need you to come sliding in to save the day.”

“I don’t like it.”

“You don’t have to.” You tell him gently, “you can’t fix all of my problems for me. I know you want to and it’s killing you that I’ve asked you not to but please let me handle this.”

“But you’re not Moxie. You’re letting her walk all over you and treat you like shit.”

“I’m letting her dig her own grave.” When Thor looks confused you explain further, “eventually she’s going to say or do something that’s going to get her in trouble all on her own. Then I don’t look like a bitch or like I’m using my connection to you to get her in trouble.” Thor sighs again but gives you a short nod.

“I don’t like it but I’ll let you handle this how you want to.”

“Thank you.” You tell him sliding into his lap on the edge of the bed. “Can we take Astrid for pizza tomorrow? I miss that little monster.”

“Of course, do you want to FaceTime her with me tonight?”

“Oh! Yes please!” So you do, you chat with Astrid and Frigga for a while, then you and Thor get ready for bed.

“Hey Thor?” You say softly once you’re laying in the dark.

“Hmm?”

“Thank you and I love you.”

“No need to thank me, I love you too.” He says softly before kissing your shoulder. You smile softly then fall asleep.

I don’t think I will ever get over how the Batman Beyond Rebirth series treated/used Matt McGinnis during its run. Ever.

Cause one of the main reasons I dove into reading the rebirth series was to read about how Matt became Robin and what his time was like. And having read and finishing the entire run like a year ago it STILL upsets me how they set him up to be Robin, stressing that he is essential to Terry’s batman and to his success, only to rip it away ten issues later b/c “they didn’t want to bring in another child into the mission”.

Acting as if they hadn’t dragged Matt through the ordeal of being sidelined to helplessly watch losing his brother MULTIPLE times both before and after he was Robin. Like what was the whole point of that set up if they were just gonna rip it away?? Explain it to me, b/c I can’t find a damn reason.
