Star fox art from November. I had an idea of a small comic where Fox gets a date but it turns out the girl is cartoonishly evil. Then Falco and Slippy work together in comedic high jinks to try to get him away from her. There'd be some twist where Fox knew all along and was trying to find their base of operations or something. Very basic.
But I know nothing about crushes and that whole department, so i didn't do anything with it past this.
*Echo took the headphones quickly, shoving them over her ears quickly. The instant relief from the noise was obvious, as she practically melted into Ingo's side now that the overbearing of it all was gone.*
"Thank you" *She signed, mouthing along with the words instead of speaking verbally. The charm on her bracelet shone brighter, and Titan's ball rattled slightly, but a quick pat seemed to mostly calm him down, the ball stilling but the charm staying lit.*
"I'm sure you're used to the crowds." *She said, voice returning to her.* "But growing up isolated plus lots of wilderness as an adult means I'm not really used to people."
*She looked over to the worker, lifting her headphones slightly to hear the reply.*
"Is there an intermission between battles? For people who need a break?"
The woman, although her face was hidden by the Florges mask, her tone indicated she was smiling. Her eyes were slightly squinted in the holes of the mask, acting as another indicator. "Of course, deary! There's an intermission for signings, too. Mr. Ingo right beside you, along with his brother- how are they doing, by the way?- have personal access to go directly to Elesa, so maybe you'll get the chance to meet him! He's very nice."
Ingo nodded firmly, showcasing excitement with little physical alteration. "Emmet's doing great, thank you for asking, ma'am! And we sure do. I can probably get you to meet the star of the show, Echo, my treat."
When Ingo offered that, they glanced back at the fight on the stage. He observed the Garchomp who was watching the circling Vetra. From the distance, it was a bit difficult to hear the commands of the trainers above the crowd, but the visuals were all that was needed. Vetra dove forward, glowing with a dim green light that brought out the sparkles of her fur, and struck the Garchomp. U-turn.
The Garchomp was unfazed and attempted to swipe at the smaller Pokemon, but she was returned to her pokeball rather swiftly. In her place, Slippy the Eelektross was sent out, and she let out an excited trill. The opponent's Garchomp roared and charged forward along the stage, each step as thundering and swift as the last. His head was lowered like a jet's nose and he tucked in his arms to extend out the wings on his arms.
The Garchomp cut through the air with ease and upon reaching Slippy, his claws shone with a beautiful purple radiance. It clashed with Slippy's own purple claws, in turn sending out sparks of purple that flew above the crowd. The sparks dissipated into nonthreatening sparkles, but soon enough, the Garchomp managed to push against Slippy and strike her underbelly. A loud trill was heard from the blow, along with a crash from Slippy striking the wall behind Elesa.
"That Garchomp is strong," Ingo commented as Slippy crawled out of the Slippy-sized crater. He returned his gaze to the masked saleswoman. "Ah! Pardon my lack of manners. What is your name and what are your pronouns?"
The masked woman didn't answer at first. She was focused on the battle, particularly the Garchomp, but then she perked when she fully processed Ingo's words. "Ah! Uhm... Just call me Jewel. She/her. Nice to meet'cha!"
