if there's one thing i love, it's a goth-peacock partnership [riddledore walked so the rest of the world could run], and these two fit that to a tee. you can just imagine how much hate sex they end up having after snape calls lockhart's magnificent peach-damask robes "poncy" and lockhart begs to be allowed to put a cheeky facemask on him.

plus, snape wouldn't care a bit about the fact lockhart plagiarised every single thing he's ever achieved, because he's not impressed by him and doesn't listen to him. the whole scandal simply passes him by.
