Title: The Awkwardness of Love
Rating: Teen and Up Audience
Pairing: Song Ha-young/Jung Woo-joo
A/N: I realize I might be the lone target audience for this pairing but oh well, maybe someone else saw the potential xD This has been sitting in my drafts long before Valentine's Day but I forgot to post it on time lol. There is a tiny amount of heartache in there, but mostly cuteness.
Summary: Woo-joo asked Ha-young to be his Valentine. Although, he didn't sign anything. Not like Ha-young would need a name to figure it out.
Word count: 1,6k
Excerpt:
“People lose their sense on the full moon,” Ha-young softly replied, “Tomorrow's report might be even worse.” He said, his face as impassive as ever, but he caught Chief Kook's interest.
“How so?” Young-soo asked, sitting up straight to look over their computer screens and at Ha-young, who didn't reciprocate his gaze. The Inspector picked something up and held it up to show their Chief, who leaned forward to read the post-it Woo-joo immediately recognized. “Will you be my Valentine? Oh! It's Valentine's already? Aah! I forgot to send my wife flowers…” Young-soo sighed long suffering. He perked up all of a sudden. “Wait, why do you have that?”
Ha-young shrugged and put the post-it down somewhere on his desk. “I got chocolates, didn't you?” he said, but Woo-joo noticed the Inspector deliberately didn't look his way.
“No,” Young-soo whined, “Who would only gift you chocolates? That's so unfair, I deserve chocolates too.” The chief pouted and leaned back in his chair with crossed arms. He seemed to remember Woo-joo was in the room though and turned his attention to him, “Hey, did you get any?”
Woo-joo pretended to look around his desk and shook his head, “None for me either.” He shrugged and caught Ha-young looking at him out of the corner of his eyes. “I guess Inspector Song is just more popular than us.”
