Some more SpaceCorp. After play #2, I think it’s OK but not great, and I wish it were less than 4 hours. As I think I’ve mentioned before, this is obviously a solitaire game that’s been upscaled to multiplayer; the coping with strange randomness that is fine and even expected in a solitaire game is not great in multiplayer, and solitaire games can also afford to be much looser about balance. And as is typical for GMT, the complexity level isn’t great all told. But, I think the big win for SpaceCorp (again like a lot of other GMT stuff) is that it lives in an uncompetitive niche: multiplayer games of 4hr or so and moderate complexity just haven’t been a fertile design space for several decades, so the competition is what, Leaving Earth? Some stuff from Sierra Madre maybe, although that’s a bit of a different niche (higher complexity, significantly more emphasis on authenticity). A bunch of junk from Fantasy Flight? So I dunno. I like the parameters of the game, but wish it were better I guess. UNA POSIBLE INTERPRETACIÓN SOBRE PREDESTINACIÓN

El ser humano siempre está en la constante búsqueda de la verdad y del autoconocimiento que con el paso del tiempo se transforma en consciencia. Esta búsqueda de saberes le ha conducido por diversos caminos, comenzó con la razón y la espiritualidad; después, con el correr del tiempo, la razón se convirtió en ciencia y la espiritualidad en fe, hoy en día parece como si sus caminos estuvieran destinados a volver a encontrarse mediante la filosofía y otras disciplinas como el budismo que son como un puente entre la razón y la espiritualidad.

De la patafísica a la metafísica, del solipsismo al budismo zen, esos son los horizontes que se recorren en Predestinación (2014), película que, si bien aborda uno de los temas predilectos de la ciencia ficción como lo es los viajes en el tiempo, va más allá y explora la complejidad del Ser así como el sufrimiento como base y empuje para la existencia.

La realidad se presenta como una variante que depende del sujeto, del lugar y del tiempo y es precisamente lo que nos muestra el protagonista, un agente temporal que trabaja para una organización que se encarga de reclutar a los llamados "agentes temporales" y entrenarlos con el fin de evitar atentados terroristas mediante viajes en el tiempo. 

Es través del agente temporal (el protagonista) que haremos un viaje hacia lo más profundo del "ser" humano, ya no se trata puramente del Yo, que es algo superficial, una capa, una coraza que cubre al ser; los saltos que hace en el tiempo parecen funcionar como anomalías de su Yo puesto que cada vez que suceden se va presentando un personaje que resulta ser una extensión de un sujeto fragmentado, sujetado a un tiempo y a un espacio.

Lacan dice que el inconsciente está estructurado como un lenguaje y a lo largo de la película vemos como hay una disputa entre lo consciente e inconsciente, un yo buscando respuestas sobre su pasado (John, un escritor de medio pelo) y un ser (agente temporal) que sabe que habitamos el lenguaje y que el yo es como un espejismo de una realidad construida a partir de deseos que han sido reprimidos, una realidad que se va fusionando con el sujeto con el transcurrir del tiempo. Así se nos muestra que el agente temporal ha escapado a eso, pero con consecuencias.

En Predestinación se van creando cuerpos, verdades anatómicas que van de lo masculino a lo femenino pasando por sus variantes hasta hoy conocidas, la diferencia sexual se presenta entonces como algo trascendental. Desde el hospital (instituciones clínicas encargadas de regir una normatividad sexual) donde otro personaje llamado Jane tiene a su hija y donde le revelan que posee ambos órganos "sexuales" hasta SpaceCorp (la industrialización como base para establecer un estandarización del sujeto) ambas apuntan a establecer esa diferencia sexual binaria como normativa, así el cuerpo siempre sería heterosexual por "naturaleza", una naturaleza que prácticamente ha sido creada  por instituciones (el estado) y el ascendente capitalismo. La heterosexualidad es funcional a lo productivo y a la industrialización, sirve como un agente político que es una posición de poder a partir del discurso.

A Jane se le asignó un sexo en el momento del nacimiento y más tarde se dará cuenta que esa genitalidad es falsa y que todo es múltiple cuando la someten a una "resignación de sexo" para convertirse en John, ese escritor de medio pelo venido a más. Es una víctima mas de la medicina, de una anatomía construida, y de una noción de género a partir de estás, categorizando e interviniendo cada cuerpo para ajustarlo a lo masculino o femenino.

La película se arriesga al abordar el tema de la transexualidad de una manera diferente; marcado, sí, por un discurso médico pero alejándose de cualquiera de los argumentos que reinan hoy en día para explicarlo, desde una psicosis o disforia de género al no reconocer su cuerpo o un complejo de Edipo mal resuelto. 

Por otro lado también vemos esa "Sustancia Pensante", que no ocupa un lugar en el espacio, propiamente no se compone como una sustancia material, el significante se hace presente aquí para el orden de la gramática, la forma en la que se escriben las cosas. 

El camino que va tomando el Agente temporal nos va conduciendo hacia un sentido contrario al solipsismo que se centra en el yo o la ontología que estudia el ser para llevarnos así a la henología que tiene una aplicación individual: un discurso del Uno que antecede a un sujeto, un ser, son los muchos que pueden surgir del Uno para "llegar a ser", al mismo tiempo que es eterno, lo que anula una verdad absoluta y por lo tanto aumenta las posibilidades de existencia al infinito.  

La analogía sería la siguiente: el agente temporal (el individuo) ha sido creado/manipulado por la organización del tiempo (el estado/capitalismo) para revelarse, salvarse de sí mismo, haciéndole creer que es un agente de cambio. En lo colectivo, el ser, Su consciencia, su espíritu están siendo controlados por Dios o en este caso por una organización. 

¿De qué sirve divagar en estos temas sobre Predestinación? Sirve para decir/darse cuenta que no hay nada natural o cultural, lo único perdurable es lo caótico que funda la sustancia ya sea material o del pensamiento y que nadie escapa del tiempo.
