I have a question why Toji wanted to be a hitman he was handsome, strong and intelligent could he be something else I never understood that

He grew up in world where all he knew was jujutsu and people related to it, since childhood he was scorned upon for being the one "without any cursed technique or energy" and he had superhuman strength that he had no idea where to use them. All his life he thought he was someone useless, fit for the shadows, someone who couldn't have achieved anything (that's how zenin clan treats and brainwashes kids with no cursed techniques) so even if we know he could've done better he himself did not know that either, plus imagine getting your hands on a job that allows you to kill people who bullied you your whole life (not all sorcerers did that obviously but that was the environment he was raised in that's what he believed the other sorcerers saw in him), so he put his intelligence and strength to use to get back at them and obviously because the job paid well and also provided him thrill and allowed him to utilise his full potential and feel better about himself.
