So I use a dry herb vape which is smoother and, in a way, tastier than oil vaping, but I didn't charge my vape or the back up battery so I'm having a joint tonight (bad for me, I know. But hey, I keep saying I'm not a role model) and GOD I always forget how harsh it is to smoke. Like the sensation really hammers in that it's bad for ya. Damn, those breaths of cold night air are refreshing after a hit. You get none of the flavor of the flower like you do with a vape, either. Just burnt skunk. Bare bones. Back to basics. Like our parents in the 70s, smoking outside probably the same damn way we are, wondering if life is going to get any better.

And here I am having squandered an opportunity to use my nice Zippo that my dear friend got me for Christmas, because it's inside in my purse and I grabbed the bic without thinking, and now here I sit in the dark, with a shitty bic lighter that goes out with the lightest breeze. Haha! So we make life difficult for ourselves in many ways.

my favorite thing to do while high is to go out and look at the world. there’s a mouse that lives under my porch. there’s some deer in the yard next to mine. i bent down close to the ground and saw a colony of ants. there’s the sound of birdsong and wind in the grasses. everything everywhere is alive! there is life out here!
