Yeah,no,Zutaras don't care about representation for anyone other than themselves.Because if they did,why do they

Call Aang white because they don't like him while knowing full well he's tibetan and come up with every insult in the book for him because he's a femme boy

Say Mai is a pick me and toxic because of her autistic-coding and trauma responses and dosen't 'deserve' Zuko even though he canonically finds the former attractive and has the latter too

Accuse Zukka shippers of being fujoshis who 'just hate women' for wanting Sokka to be bi and Zuko his boyfriend when most Zukka shippers are queer minors who only started the fandom because Atla got put on Netflix so that's how they found out it then instead of when it came out

And completely disregard Ty Lee as an even potentional love interest for Zuko by calling her 'too much of a bimbo' and 'stereotypically girly' for him when she was written with deconstructing that archetype in mind by giving her real emotions and what it puts girls through by misogynists who want to police how we present even if it's a healing/coping mechanism like in her case?

If moc queer or not love Kataang,they get called dudebros with no basis.If autistic women instead of just 'quirky nerds' love Maiko,they get strawmaned as 'creepy alt girls who're trying too hard'.If gay and trans people love Zukka,they get the classic 'these FILTHY GAYS are RUINING our HETEROSEXUAL SPACE' take.And if autistic queer girls who're femme in ways that aren't palpable to allistics and cishets love Ty Luko,we get told we aren't even worth considering romantic options because we're too 'stupid' and can't 'really have deep connections' that aren't being someone's annoying friend.You wanted Zutara to be canon because you're a woc like Katara and had a crush on Zuko?Cool,i feel the same way about Ty Luko and so do certain Maiko and Zukka shippers with their ships but none of run around cyberbullying school children and causing unnecessary infighting over it!So be quiet,not everything is about you and at this point we've proven we're too good to be near you so leave and don't forget to let door hit you on the way out♡

Ty Luko anon is back!!Yes yes i have a few headcanons for my comfort ship:

Ty Lee teaches Zuko how to do her braid and it becomes a routine for them.Ty Lee will even walk around with her hair down if she can't find Zuko to do her hair yet

Both autistic but in opposite ways.The best way i can describe is that Zuko has goth autism while Ty Lee has pastel autism

Ty Lee is very physically affectionate and Zuko is very flustered about it at first but his touch starved ass can't help but love it

Aang is definitely their wingman!!Him and Ty Lee have grown very close and he encourages Zuko to pursue her because he sees how good they are to and for eachother

Zuko is surprisingly a huge romantic.He spoils her with gifts,calls her cheesy nicknames and is extremely protective of her-Not in an overbearing way,he's just scared of seeing her hurt

T4T!!If i stick to canon,it's with nonbinary trans boy Zuko and transfem demigirl Ty Lee but i'm a lot like Ty Lee and i'm afab genderfluid so i also love seeing them as transmasc4transmasc ;w; Transfem4transfem is also very good ofc,trans girl Zuko fits so well!!

TY LUKO IS MY FAVE Love me a grumpy goth bf x bubbly pastel gf ship!!Especially with how bisexual and pansexual and especially trans they both come across in canon!I think Ty Lee and Zuko are the best choices for eachother's love interest's and that it was a huge waste to not have them be childhood besties like they are with Mai.Also like with Taang and Kataang,i have them in aus to avoid Mai and Maiko bashing^

If Zutara shippers ever try to tell you Zuko showed more interest in and would make a better couple than Katara than with Mai because of opposites attract and parallels,remind them that:

Ty Lee is a bubbly pink girl who's very overtly and shamelessly weird and silly,believes in optimism deeply and has a power based in painless nullifying

Has sibling based insecurities and trauma

Is very grafeul and good at making friends

Grew up with Azula and resents her for her 'perfection' but Ty Lee pretends to love it and genuinely does like things about her while Zuko is vocal about how much he hates her

She actually tried to flirt with Zuko with the classic 'I'm freezing!' to get him to put his arms around her and he looked at her with baby dragon eyes while saying 'I can make a fire' in softest goddamn voice ever

His idea of insulting her was to call her 'so pretty' and point out she can walk on her hands

On the same day,he also tried to give Mai a seashell because he thought she'd like it but she didn't and it cuts right to Ty Lee saying she loves it and using the exact word Zuko did as to why he assumed Mai would('pretty')

ALSO on the same day,they both got cornered into a pressuring question they didn't know the awnser to for emotional reasons and frantically said so before lashing out their powers in self-defense

And that these scenes exist

This is the time he ever sees Ty Lee interact with another guy onscreen and he immediately got pissed when they said they were inviting her to a party but not him.'I just realized she be looking at other guys y'all i can't breath' ass lmfao(Also not canon but you can't tell me Ty Lee isn't Air Nomad mixed and a sweet tooth to Zuko's spice addict c'mon)

Y'know what?Yes,actually,i DO think nobody should be allowed to ship Zutara.Not because 'You can only ship canon' purity bullshit but because it sanitizes the show in general but especially Katara.Katara is not just a teenage girl,she's a brownskin native one who's strongest and most prevelant trait's are hating oppressors with all her heart and taking action in it throught all of canon.This 100% includes Zuko pre-redemption and she is under no obligation to have a crush on him even post it because their friendship is good enough of a status for both of them-This is their canon feelings on the matter.Zuko in canon is too focused on Mai to pursue anyone else and the only other girl he showed potential interest in is Ty Lee and Sokka is an infinitely more in-character Gaang love interest option for him than she is and Katara fullstop never even considered Zuko a romantic option.And why should she have?He spent almost a year trying to kill her first ever friend and wasn't afraid to hurt her too to accomplish it,the first time she saw good in him and opened up to him about her trauma that HIS DIRECT ANCESTORS caused he betrayed her and his initial attempts to make it up to her directly were half assed as hell so he resorted to trying to get her to murder someone at 14.Zuko is a good person but that dosen't mean he's good enough for Katara and she's well-aware of that since she's full of self-worth and vocalizes it as she should

This wasn't just a relathionship dynamic choice-It was representation to show minorities how they should treat their oppressors and that is to not coddle them because they were raised to hate and hurt them for existing and to say none of them are entitled to forgiveness due to being raised into it since kids of color don't have the privilige of getting away with things for having the 'right' heritage.Zuko is a victim because his dad was abusive,not because his dad was an imperialist.Katara is a proud girl of color-not woc,she's a GIRL,a FEMALE CHILD-who's canonically an activist and instigator starting at the age of 14 while still behaving like an ordinary (feminine) teenage girl instead of an adult in a kid's body and her friends talk onscreen multiple times about how she deserves to act her age.By choosing Zuko over Aang,Katara would've given up her beliefs and wish to destroy gender roles and turned into what the racist patriarchy both in-universe and irl wants her to be

Katara is not 'every teenage girl ever'.Katara is Katara.Katara is a punk who grew up in her homeland that was being colonized.Katara is a role model.Katara is MY role model and she has been since i was realized the true messages of the series and the same goes for Aang and Zuko and Sokka and Toph and Mai and Ty Lee and yes,even Jet and the only reason Azula isn't included in this list is that i want to take care of her and give her the mother figure which leads to a redemption arc she deserved like Zuko because she was a victim and a kid too instead.I refuse to be nice to dudebros who falsely believe they're like Zuko and womanchildren that hate a 12 year old boy for being a type of asian they can't fetishize and use his best friend turned girlfriend and older brother figure who's also like a parent to him as mouthpieces.Zutara antis may be mean but Zutara shippers are racist and that's worse

I never want to hear Atla critisism from Fma stans.Atla is about a 12 year old asian genocide survivor who's also a gnc boy and has a brown punk girl with respectfully handled and adressed adultification trauma as his love interest and the other characters include a blind baby butch,an abuse victim with unpretty trauma and a big ass scar on his face but gets potrayed as super attractive and appealing and has what's rightfully considered the perfect redemption arc,his sister who faced the reverse of his abuse tactic from their dad and is placed as a tragic villain since she's only a 14 year old and a gloomy mean outcast goth girl/bubbly pastel optimistic popular girl duo that're never pitted eachother over a boy and are childhood best friends where one of them betrayed a person they were deeply afraid of for years to save them and the show ends with Aang keeping the Air Nomads culture alive by not killing Ozai but still getting rid of him to respect irl buddhism

Fma is about a blonde white boy who's all 'Ooooh i'm too cool and edgy to be openly nice and mushy' and his love interest is a blonde blue eyed white girl that he used to see as his sister because they grew up together and bickers with nonstop and they even have a scene he sees the lower half of her boobs when she's undressing and the timeline makes it so she was 17 at the oldest in it and the other characters include a black girl with straight hair who barely gets screentime much less an arc,two darkskin moc who's people were etchnically cleansed and one gets strawmaned as 'too violent' for being traumatized and taking direct action and the other gets framed as 'one of the good ones' for joining the military that did the killings,TWO blonde white women who're military highups and extremely regularly cruel to moc and this is framed as making them girlbosses and a white dude who feels no remorse for LITERALLY PLAYING DIRECTLY INTO THE GENOCIDE that's death is framed as the saddest thing ever and the series ends with Ed's physical disabilities being taken away and Roy being blind for three minutes before that ALSO gets 'cured'(ew)
