So yeah I actually think Otona Precure is retconning Coco and Natts ages

Their ages were always vague (at least to me!) and never outright confirmed. I always thought they were 16 and 17 respectively since I was a kid. Partly out of spite, partly because I was used to older-looking love interests??

Like the trends in the early 2000s to 90s, etc was the impossibly mature hot guy, the ikemen. Yknow, the model-like senpai who always gets mistaken as an an adult even though he's only a year older than the heroine. So IDK I always doubted Coco's age as a kid :/

And yeah I know one producer referred to them as "adult men", but to me that's just a producer and not the writing/animation team who presented the characters (this is where the spite kicks in...💀)

I thought Coco faked his age into being a teacher the same way Natts became a business owner somehow??? The teacher part is gross, but I know it was for Coco to in an all girls school and set up Nozomi's dream of being a teacher....

(LAME EXCUSE THO!!! He could have been a tutor, or joined a boys school across from the girls, or SUMTHN!!! Teacher x student always losing)

BUT BACK TO OTONA!!! I think Otona is taking advantage of their ambiguous age and is soft retconning that they were "adults". Like look at the Nozomi's flashback!! Coco looks ridiculously young in that picture, like he barely reaches Karen's height.

And Otona is presenting Coco and Natts differently for there to be a clear distinction between them in the Yes Precure 5 and their adult versions now (mature features, lowered voice acting, height change)

So POINT BEING, I think we can consider them as teenagers aka children in the Yes Precure 5 and adults in Otona, because of the way the writers are presenting them now (thank GOD)

Since I finished happy home paradise, I’ve been redesigning my villagers’ homes on my island!

These have obviously changed a lot from what their base houses look like, but I tried to keep at least a few aspects from the original in the redesign. My island is themed as a movie filming location, so my goal with their houses was to make a place for movie stars to hang out and relax 💚
