ok, the kiss on the hand, the kiss on the head, the hugs. everything is very tender and I love it.

But is anyone talking about how the Doctor stops himself from blaming Donna for the cafe accident? …I mean, come on. It's very nice of him not want to blame her or just not tell her. Like he stops him self and says “sorry”.

this 14 Doctor doesn't want to see Donna sad. he just wants her to be okay. and he knows how much Donna blames herself for being a little dumb at times. and the Doctor remembers very well how those words stay in Donna's mind. How she spends all her time telling herself how stupid she is. and he doesn't want that for her.

I think that tortured him for many years. That she couldn't see how brilliant she is. and obviously how much he loves her.

So in this chapter we can see how He lets all the affection he has for Donna show. He will never hide it anymore.

from holding on to blaming her for the coffee, apologizing when he mentions it. and obviously calm her down when she's about to break down and obviously at the end they're both in shock from what they just went through and he can't take it anymore and kisses her head. I think that was not for Donna, but for himself. he needed to do it. knowing that she is there save with him and that he almost lost her.

They love and appreciate each other so much. I really love their dynamics, their jokes and how they annoy each other. … they are the best. the best duo!

If you could pick three DW audio adventures to make into TV episodes, which would you pick and why?

Ooooh, now you've got me thinking. I’ll admit that I immediately thought “I know which one it wouldn’t be”, but you weren’t asking that*.

a. Somehow I feel like this was question asked to give me the perfect excuse to vote for No Place, hahahaha!

 I mean, who wouldn’t want to see the Doctor and Donna paying love tolls and trying to outdo each other with the gush? Plus, parts of that story were wonderfully creepy – no I wasn’t referring to a smiling Sylvia pretending she loves the Doctor, but I should have been. And the story featured Joel Fry as Justin, the presenter of 'Haunted Makeovers'! You might know him better as Frenchie in 'Our Flag Means Death'.

It's a very inspiring tale to listen to.

b. For a nice bit of social history that is normally skipped over, and a huge dose of spookiness caused by the London smog, I’m choosing The Creeping Death.

It has London Routemaster buses (I do like a bus), the lovely Richard (made me think of the one with black nail varnish), and a great atmosphere. Well, a rotten choking atmosphere, more accurately, but you know what I mean.

There’s just something about thick fog that makes you wonder if something sinister is out there… And I just about remember really thick fogs occuring in London, back when I was a child (we used to get sent home early from school because of them).

c. And for my final choice of audio adventure to be made into a real episode, I’m cheekily choosing Pest Control

purely because I’m dying to see how the costume department would deal with centaur-like creatures. It was the first TenxDonna audio adventure I bought and listened to, so it has sentimental reasons for being chosen, the normal marriage joke we'd come to expect in tales, and a great Star Trek joke with their names used as aliases.   

But I'd be happy for any audio tale to be made into an actual TV episode; as long as it has the Doctor and Donna.

d. IF I'm not allowed that one, due to it being read rather than acted, am I allowed all of Kidnapped!?

I'm sure we could come to some agreement about how much Donna Noble I'm allowed. The more the merrier as far as I'm concerned, but I know that's a wee bit greedy.

Sorry for more tenxdonna noise, but im confused, cause I saw someone say that donna had a kid with Shaun? Obvi I’ll headcanon feelings all around canon like whatever I gotta do, but now im just confused lol. Also, your thoughts on Shaun? Or just headcanons, like your comfort sex after midnight one, about our resident idiots being in love off camera? Tysm!!

So yeah it looks like Donna and Shaun have a kid. Theyre supposed to be in the 60th anniversary specials this November. I'm reserving judgment til we see them in action.

Thoughts on Shaun are… I wish he'd been a character. Russell wrote in his book that he wanted Donna happy and married and having a family, but there's a lot of stuff going on in Ten's last episodes and there's just no room to be like "Okay here's Shaun Temple and he's an interesting fleshed out person and this is why we should root for Donna to be with him." Like, Lance was a character (an arsehole, but a character.) Even Lee, her husband in the Library, still got some characterisation!

But there's so much (more important!) story going on in The End of Time (with the Master and the Doctor's relationship, and the Time Lords, and Wilf and Ten getting to be old men together which is seriously some of the best television in all the television. I love Wilf sfm, god rest Sir Bernard Cribbins) that it's just not worth the time it would take to properly introduce him. Even Donna is barely in it and is mostly there to show how much the Doctor is hurting without her. So Shaun doesn't get any time to do anything of note and he's basically a cardboard cutout.

I'm of the opinion that in cases like that, you cast a well-known actor bc they bring enough of their own charisma to the part by just being there. Hell, I would've cast another comedian and actually given Shaun a scene with Donna so we got a coupley vibe off them. But again-- the entire point of Donna being there is that she's not actually there. She's there to be in the background so David Tennant can look sad. (and he does it so well. i love that scene in the cafe where he breaks down bc i am a bad sad awful person who likes big angst >:B)

uhhhh headcanons… i don't know that i actually have many. most of my little ideas are nebulous soup until i fashion them into fic.

Summary: The Doctor and Donna are perfect for each other, so Martha doesn't understand why they can't see it. Martha and Mickey are perfect for each other, so Donna doesn't understand why they can't see it. “It’s maddening,” Martha said as she dropped onto the couch.

“What is?”

“Them!” Her roommate only shrugged, so Martha snagged thepopcorn bowl off Mickey’s lap to help herself and hopefully draw his attention.

“Oh, alright, what about them?” He asked, lowering thevolume on the telly without even being asked.

“Well it’s just, you saw them today.” It had been hard notto. What had started out as a catch-up session with Donna and the Doctor overcoffee had ended up being a full-blown investigation and chase when Martha andMickey had finally gotten their first credible call about freelance work. Theother pair had naturally come along — hard to stop the Doctor when he wasaround — and had torn from one end of the site to the other bickering and babblingtogether in turns, before deciding a rather clever strategy together thatMartha and Mickey had been able to build into an actionable plan.

“I’ve never seen him as happy as when he��s around her. AndDonna, she just lights up, you know?”

“So?”

“So why don’t they do anything about it?” She shovedanother handful of the popcorn in her mouth. “I know you think he really lovedRose and all, but he’s definitely over the hang-up there if you ask me. AndDonna wants to spend the rest of her life with him.”

“Maybe they’re just in a good place, taking it as it comes,”Mickey suggested. “You don’t want to rush something like that, do you?”

His question had come out almost too lightly, as though hereally wanted her to believe he wasn’t remotely interested in the answer.

“No, I suppose not,” she agreed slowly, returning the bowlto the middle seat on the couch separating them. “I guess I just hope they dosomething about it sooner rather than later. No sense denying yourselfhappiness, right?”

Martha couldn’t look at him. She told herself it was becausethe game on the television was just too interesting.

“Right.” There was a pause, almost too long, before Mickeyasked, “More popcorn?”

“Yeah, thanks,” she answered, a little fast and a littleshaky. She managed a tight smile that Mickey returned fleetingly as he stood upwith the nearly empty bowl. They hovered like that for the space of a breaththat seemed to take an eternity — and she’d been to the end of the world. ThenMickey seemed to make a great effort to turn and leave the room.

“Get a hold of yourself, Dr. Jones,” Martha muttered.“You’re talking about your friends, not- not this.”

There wasn’t a this anyway. They were just friends andbusiness partners who had moved in together to save on expenses. Not that she’dmind if they — but they weren’t. Were they?

Was this how her friends always felt?

“It’s maddening, isn’t it?” Donna asked aloud. “I said, isn’tit?” She added a moment later, prodding the Doctor with her foot down theother end of the couch.

“Hm?” He peered at her through his spectacles he didn’t needover the edge of his book. Probably thought it made him look clever.

“Martha and Mickey.”

“Yes.”

“Are maddening.”

“Are they? What about?”

“Because they’re not together!” Donna exclaimed. “I mean, they’rejust so perfect.”

“Thought you were happy for Martha when she had Tom,” theDoctor said, frowning as he set aside his book.

“Oh, Tom was just the rebound. Knew that.”

“Rebound?” He mumbled with a frown. Bless him. Probably hadbeen all pleased that Tom seemed like him. He could stand to have the windtaken out of those sails a little.

“Yes,” Donna said, drawing it out. “So now that she’s beenthrough all that she’s found herself a proper match in Mickey — but they’re notdoing anything about it!”

They’d been so in sync earlier today, Donna hadn’t been ableto stop noticing. It was like they didn’t even need to talk to understand whatthe other needed in the moment. If that wasn’t true partnership, she’d eat herwhole hatbox.

“They work together, live together,” Donna continued,numbering her list on the fingers of one hand. “Why not just do all the rest ofit together?”

“All the rest?”

She narrowed her eyes. “Don’t pretend you don’t know what Imean.”

“Haven’t the foggiest,” the Doctor replied loftily.

“Oi, I looked in that big brain of yours once,” Donnareminded him. “I know you know a thing or two.” One or two of the things sheremembered had really been, well…

The Doctor coughed, bringing her back to the present as wellwith a blush, and looked away. “Right, well. Isn’t it their own business? Imean, how would you like it if someone told you that just because you and Ilive together and work together, we ought to be married and all?” His headtilted, and he scratched at his cheek. “Well, actually, they do. But that’sbeside the point.”

“Right,” Donna agreed quickly, because her blush didn’t seemto want to go away.

“The point was — er, what was the point again?”

“About Martha and Mickey being good together.”

“Right. Just because they are doesn’t have to mean anything.It might just mean that they’re a great pair of friends. Best mates. Andreally, what more can you ask for?” His eyes looked even larger than usualbehind his glasses as he searched her face. “If you were going to ask, anyway.”

“And no one says you have to ask,” Donna hurriedly assuredhim, suddenly terrified he would because asking meant answering, and what wasshe supposed to answer with? How did anybody ever answer those great brown eyesof his? It was unfair to expect her to work under these conditions.

“Exactly,” the Doctor agreed with emphasis.“Sometimes you just carry on, as the Brits would say.”

“I’ll drink to that,” she declared, standing. “Come on,let’s find somewhere to drink it to.”

“I like the way you think, Donna Noble.” His spectacles weretossed into a jacket pocket as he jumped up and led the way out of the TARDISlibrary, Donna right by his side.

Best to put her friends and the whole thing outof her mind for the time being. They were probably thinking about it enough ontheir own, right?

Sorry for not immediately replying but things likek the need to sleep before work in the morning got in the way. Ho hum.

Anyway, thanks for biting; in the nicest possible way.

The DW audio story I definitely wouldn't want to make into an episode is The Stone Rose - as mentioned at the end of a previous answer.

Okay, I only listened to it because it was free, and I didn't have any TenxDonna audio stories at the time (if I remember correctly); but I never sought to listen to it again after a few attempts to get through all of it.

I know some people love it, but I thought the whole thing about Rose being turned into a statue (and unfortunately back into being a human again) was rubbish, especially the resolution at the end with a squeaky alien. It happened because it happened. Some time loop/paradox thing. Really?! What tosh!

I'll freely admit that I am NOT a TenxRose shipper. Did you gasp in shock? Hopefully not, because I haven't been exactly quiet on the subject.

Nevertheless, I was not the target audience for this tale. The only saving grace was that it wasn't overtly shippy otherwise I'd have smashed the CD against the wall. And I could put it in the next charity donation collection bag....

okay so this is hugely embarrassing but I actually don't have ANY of my 10/D stuff on my AO3. i have adhd so i never actually got around to it??? ^^; sorry.

it's on my dreamwidth tho. mostly ficlets and a couple of slightly longer stories, plus the first entry of the big big big AU fic.

the big, big BIG AU fic which isnt actually DONE yet... im still working on it (which is even more embarrassing as if its not been 15 flippin years ive been working on this behemoth... adhd sucks) but the 60th anniversary encouraged me to make a bet with my beta so i am attempting to have most of it done by november *cough* whether i actually will remains to be seen

Who's your favourite Doctor?

It’s really hard to tell because each of them are part of my heart. I love each of them for different reasons. Ninth’s sacrifise for Rose makes me cry, 10th sacrifise for Wilf makes me cry and RoseXTen and TenXDonna, and then 11th who loved Amelia as friend so much and who just wanted to be with her as a friend always and 12th with so much scrumbles and duty of care for Clara ♥
