hi rambling anon here to throw another useless ramble but i was on ao3 the other day & i was scrolling looking at seventeen stories and i kind of still don’t know that app that well but as i was scrolling i saw a story that sounded like yours and i was like hold up 🤨 but then i saw “sluttywoozi” and i was like OMGG OKAYY THATS FRIEND!! lmaoo i got so excited like i met a familiar friend in an unfamiliar place LOL (because that site is low key hard to work how do ppl search ANYTHING 💔)

omg hehehe thank you for being on the lookout for me!!! and i actually do the majority of my fic reading on ao3 so i have some tips!!

i like to browse by tags, choose the tag that best fits the vibe of fic i want to read, and then use the hell out of the filtering system to zero in on what i want!

you can include and exclude all kinds of things and once you get the hang of the filters you like to use, it becomes so easy to find fics to read! there's not a whole lot of reader insert kpop fic on ao3 so i tend to read idols i don't even know (i actually read a wonu fic ages before i let my bestie get me into kpop) but that's how you find the gems!

there are also a few writers (like me) who post on ao3 as well as tumblr and that's always a good way to discover new blogs to follow!

I'm also happy you like Ordovica, Zoras are my FAVORITE Zelda race I just think they're all soooooo gorgeous. (I like all the different games' designs but i think its obvious botw zoras are my favorite of all)

Ordovica is actually the Queen of my AU's Lake Zoras (I have river Zoras in my au as well so there's a bit of a distinction) and Prince Kaluga (pictured) is her son! He's a momma's boy but she just wants him to prove he can take place on the throne cause he has no ambition, he just kinda acts on whims. and is a bit spoiled lolol.

It might be somewhat clear by her appearance, but she is a Lich Queen. Despite being immortal she has a history of Hylians attempting to take her life lol. Obviously they were failed efforts and the only way to truly kill her is to destroy her soul gem, which is kept guarded deep beneath Zora's Domain.

Which i actually have an old concept drawing of! (and is my header on my theme)

So the entire lake is frozen for a majority of the year (only for 3 summer months is it thawed), but even so beneath the ice and further into the depths of the lake the temperature is warmer due to many hydrothermal vents (it makes many pretty frozen bubbles on the clear ice of the surface as well lol) The Zora's actually have a large portion of their kingdom underwater, so this is why I designed Ordovica and Kaluga both based on deep sea fish. (Which are a chimaera/ghost shark and an oarfish, respectively)

The Lake Zora Kingdom is also a very large kingdom, maybe even rivaling Hyrule kingdom in population bc its made up of multiple aquatic races and not just Lake Zoras (though they are the majority).

Anyways so Ordovica (and her son) historically have been very brutal rulers, the Lake Zora Kingdom and the Kingdom of Hyrule are not currently in good standing with one another (haven't been for centuries) so most Lake Zoras are hostile to humans. They can be very violent and scary if you cross them. And the mother/son duo in particular have no qualms about killing humans. Though Kaluga is a bit strange bc he doesn't harbor any hatred for humans in particular, he just has a violent nature.

Your want is obvious; J’s known it since you stepped through into the living room. Your eyes keep looking at J, your gaze slightly hazy with tears borne from love which you know from experience he doesn’t appreciate being shed. Or, so he tells you, but the way he rubs absentmindedly at his chest as he watches you watch him says a different story. It’s this which you listen to, else you would think that he didn’t love you at all.

But that’s just another lie.

He wants to protect you, to keep you safe from anything and everything which seeks to do you harm, and that includes from yourself when the to do list is long and the days and nights are too busy and too short respectively for you to be able to keep up. You give it all your might and he’s always so proud of you; his Sue. You’re a fighter, he tells you, and though you don’t believe him, the dark glint in those chocolate eyes flecked with gold tell you not to question him.

The Joker wreaks havoc, he creates chaos, but he never EVER lies, a walking contradiction is he.

You linger in the doorway and J pats his lap entirely, a smirk growing on crimson lips as his eyes deliberately meet yours. Every time you blush and look away, his eyes chase you until you have no choice but to give him what he likes; your full undivided attention.

You do as he bids and cross the room to him, J’s purple clad hand winding around your wrist as he tugs you down, down, onto pinstriped trousers, your inner knees pressed wholly against his muscular outer thighs. Oh, but he’s a heater, and the warmth of him seeps into you. Naturally do you cup his face, your fingers rubbing over places where the paint has worn away as you do your best to repair the natural wear caused by the passage of time.

J hums and leans into your touch, his eyes fluttering closed as if he’s a cat receiving some well deserved ear scritches, and the thought makes you smile and blush harder. Dark eyes shoot open when you dare to lean forward, forward, until J’s face is cupped in your hands, cradled with such tender reverence that in a life long since lost it would have made him cry, and press kisses all over his face. Not a single inch of his beautiful painted visage is left untouched and J is left giggling under your love for him, thick fingers gripping your wrists tightly.

When his grip loosens, the moment will be over and you will either cuddle with him or you will clamber off, but he doesn’t allow this too often or too much. He doesn’t want to take it, to take you, for granted, and you don’t want to annoy him or get in your way.

If either of you could hear the other, you would catch the bluff and destroy it.

But J never asks and you never tell, and so your wants remain unvoiced but felt all the same.

You know, I could actually talk about every single sentence and say what's so special about it. But I'll limit myself a bit, because otherwise I won't be able to stop babbling and gushing. First of all, I want to say how beautiful the whole atmosphere and situation of the drabble is. It's exactly how I would imagine it to be and how it probably happens a lot lately. A long, stressful and exhausting day and I just crave to be close to J. And yes, I would definitely be teary-eyed, shy and blushing just as you described. And the way J is is just perfect, oh my gosh. Him wanting to protect me... I'll be honest, I long for J to do that, to take care of me - lately, I've been feeling a little ignored and mistreated by the people around me. I admit that this touched me deeply. He would probably never do that, but the thought of J or Jack crying... Well, this thought makes me tear up. If I could, I would shower him with my love so much that he wouldn't know what to do with himself.

These sentences are so bittersweet and true. But I think I've gotten much better lately at telling him what I want. However, I still struggle with my shyness and insecurities. But we feel what the other needs and wants even without words, omg.
