but I’m gonna make this post before I literally lose my marbles

It’s about twisted wonderland and Madoka magica so strap in fellas this is gonna be hella targeted to probably me and me alone and maybe like one other person

Anyways HEAVY AND I MEAN HEAVY SPOILERS FOR BOTH FRANCHISES and A REALLY LONG RAMBLE UNDER THE CUT LMAO

So don’t click keep reading if you havent finished or started either (ESPECIALLY MADOKA MAGICA, Trust me the show and movies are so good walking into blind I’d kill a man to watch it blindly again) also warning for potentially shit grammar incoming lol

First things first-

HOW HAVE I NOT SEEN SOMEONE NOTICE THE SIMILARITY BETWEEN OVERBLOTS AND WITCHES?

The similarities is the over-use of magic and negative energy polluting the energy source they use to performing these magical abilities turning them into abominations that go on a rampage and effecting the lives of those around them.

The difference though is that for witches, it’s specifically middle school girls who become witches and them becoming witches have the chances of causing world ending atrocities- and in the world of puella magi most Natural disasters are due to the fact a witch is the cause of those disasters and only incubators and other unsuspecting naive magical girl know of

Whereas in twisted wonderland *So far* we’ve only seen Teen high school boys overblot and that didn’t(Besides chapter 6 and 7) have any world ending consequences in my opinion

Says alot huh? XD

Anyways that’s a point I wanna get to another time

You know what I’d love to see? a reader-insert or just a yuu from puella magi in the world of twisted wonderland!

Now this is when I start getting real self-indulgent with this XD but I wanna see like a Homura!Yuu! :)

basically a reader-insert who takes the role of Homura Akemi, right?

And the entirety of the first anime happens and Madoka goes from a 14 year old girl who made a wish to save a cat from dying by unknowingly trading her soul to become a magical girl as an energy source to a higher being

to end up becoming an omnipotent concept that saves magical girls when their gems over pollute and are about to become witches

But instead of the Rebellion Arc happening and Homura!Yuu becoming a witch and demon and all that pizazz! let’s say they “try” to keep going and just Bans themselves from going back in time again and trying to go forward for Madokamis sake and deals with those weird wraith things in the new universe

and maybe a little cherry on top they try to learn and expand the magic abilities Yuus other magical girl friends had.

Later on we move to let’s say, 17 Year old Homura!Yuu, and guess what? You’ve been isekaid bestie have fun!

During the prologue introduction, when Homura!Yuu wakes up into the coffin grim doesn’t get a moment to even open the coffin as you just kick it open ready to transform believing this is some form of a witches labyrinth and are ready to jump into a bunch of conclusions

Now, in comes a poor unsuspecting Grimm

And the first thing Homura!Yuu does upon notice of him? The same thing Homura did to Bebe in rebellion-

just one Quick grasp onto his neck and just instantly slamming him into the nearest wall before he could even say a word. Questions being shot left and right over this potential Witch-like being or a being that seems to be similar combination of a witches Familiar+ Kyubey. A thought you do not like the sound of.

Grim is quite fairly, terrified out of his mind (I’m sorry my son) But! Lucky for him in comes the headmaster to witness this display of aggression! And school hasn’t even begun yet! The nerve!

Now this can go from here in Multiple ways, but for now, how id see it going is Crowley using his whip to tie up Homura!Yuu and just yoinks up a scared grim similar to what Mami did in rebellion

you’re only reaction to this is “Ah shit, here we go again.”

Now I can see Crowley ends up kicking Grim away still since you’ll obviously deny any association with him and just questions Crowley like there’s no tomorrow and just like in canon those questions fall on deaf ears! Lol

Crowley believes that coming to night raven college has frazzled your young hormonal teenage mind into acting so aggressive and since he’s such a kind and generous headmaster does not hold you accountable for it, isn’t he so wonderful c:

Homura!Yuu ends up quietly playing along to whatever the hell is going on to get a better and proper assessment on the situation you’ve been put in. So everything continues on as normal while the students of NRC give you a strange look until it’s finally your turn to approach the mirror.

How I’d see the mirror react to a Homura!Yuu is once you give it your name, I feel like he’d go “their soul is..Missing?..” Because as you know your soul has been turned into your soul gem and the mirror has no knowledge of this so you’re not gonna be assigned any dorm, sorry not sorry c:

This, understandable, freaks everybody out.

This is when Canon plays out a usual in the story for the prologue with the headmaster taking you to Ramshackle and you’re Re-encounter with Grim.

When you do encounter grim again you transform again and start to chase after him to continue where you left off back in the mirror chamber. This leads to Homura!Yuu discovering grim to be innocent in your arrival here and just simply… wants to be able to grow stronger.. hmm why do you feel like you’ve heard that before

Upon Grim proving his innocence and quite frankly become official scared of Homura!Yuu in comes the ghosts to scare him some more! They watch you chase him down and wanted to join in on the fun.

Mind you, you aka Homura!Yuu are still on guard and still transformed so you obviously attack the ghost with grim ending believing you attacked them for his protection! You didn’t, but if it makes up for scaring the piss outta him sure 👍 well go with that.

Now we continue with canon from here with Crowley calling you a beast tamer and hiring you as a janitor yadda yadda, but Grim ends up referring to you as his Bodyguard instead of henchman in this one! Which if Homura!Yuu was going to be honest, Grim was 1,000 percent a bigger improvement then kyubey.

I totally wanna make a side writing blog and make more stuff like this if it gathers the attention of others lol, I already have it made I just need to edit it along with my other side account where I used to post art until I took them down due to tumblrs Ai update lol

Once I’m done fixing up those two I’ll make a master post with the users of all three of my blogs and my ao3 too lol

Jun: Letting him ramble. Like he will be so focused on his topic then he starts paying attention to you. Seeing how your eyes lightly lit up looking like you have small stars on your eyes, and that soft smile he loves on your face. He then apologize for talking to much but you reassure him that it’s okay he gets all giggle and buries his head in your neck getting shy

Hoshi: Being apart of his Horanghae gang. Like you were apart of it when y’all first started dating you had no choice. But just knowing you accept his for his tiger-I’m sorry my mind was in a goofy mood

Buying him tiger print things. Knowing how much he love tigers you need to buy him tiger related things. It gets him all warm and cozy and any positive thing you can think of inside

Wonwoo: Reading with him. It brings him so much comfort and being with you in comfortable silence makes him warm inside. He loves the feel of being with you at those type of moments any moment’s really but those moments and very special to him

Woozi: Being in his studio with him. It gives him so much more motivation and puts him to harder work. He also loves when you tell him things like he’s doing great or the beat hi made so sound awesome and amazing and that good stuff. Your what keeps him going

DK: Being weird and silly with him. He loves that you don’t think of him differently when he starts randomly doing the most outrageous things instead you join him. Seungkwan: Gossiping with him. Like when you comeback from work you already you both have some boiling hot tea that’s ready to spill. Sometimes set up snacks and drinks because of how long it takes for you both to be done. Sometimes fall asleep talking without realizing you guys might talk in your sleep

Vernon: You randomly saying anything. Like you can be like “what if the sun just exploded right now” he would be like “we die” because he’s just so used you blurting anything out is the most randomness times. Sometimes it catches him very off guard he can’t think so you have to tap him a few times to make him come back to earth

Dino: letting him hold you in his arms. It makes him feel like he’s protecting you from anything out there even just thin air. He holds you so tight like he’s afraid if he let go you’ll just turn into dust and get blown away but the cool breeze. Loves to hold to hold you when y’all first wake up gives you little forehead kiss as time goes by

Originally built to be a robo cop type deal. But when given free will refused to hurt anyone and got scrapped

Really fuckin loves animals. Nature in general but mostly animals.

They get spooked by him a lot though

Momma is a scraper/engineer and outfitted him with everything a "good human boy" would need, like touch receptors and an ability to taste

Nothing to be done about majorly changing how he looks tho

Goes to Duncan to see if he can do something about helping communicate to animals that he is a friend. Ala magic.

Uses the starlight, paper, ink, historical artifacts and an assortment of magical ingredients as fuels

Has a large collection of quality spellbooks for references

Not those shitty amazon spellbooks that are just a list of pre written spells, these ones were written by some old hag 80 years ago and through flowery rambleing language tell you how write spells yourself. They go into spell syntax.

Harolds books for writing incantations and spells are spiral notebooks

If he uses smbols will typically craft a custom sygil for it

Uses alot of number magic and latin

Uses his confidence in his skills with writing spells to harness magic

Is better at doing spells for other people, when doing spells for himself he tends to overcomplicate things

Actually went to magic camps and magic summer schools

"I was trained for this!" and it's Mostly true

Can make the most specific fucking spell work for him

I cannot stress he is good at this type of casting.

Duncan's way of doing magic pisses him off. Both are convinced their way is better

Harold to Duncan ->"What the fuck do you mean you increased your strength with a posca marker, bare knuckles and a dream. How are you not dead yet >:[ "

He has a lot of respect for magic itself, Duncan's almost disrespectful way of using magic makes him mad.

Whats worse is that it works.

How Harold casts a spell

Writes down a goal -> outlines different methods to achieve it (incantations, scrolls, potions) -> writes out the spelleork with alot of detail accounting for almost every outcome -> it takes very long -> outwardly or inwardly recites writes spell to activate it -> profit

Alejandro - Siren

(I give up with organization here no more bullet points)

Mermaids and Sirens are almost identical, with few overt physical differences

Sirens will typically have colored iris', 2 finned gills, longer tounges, boned ears and uniformly sharp teeth

Mermaids have colored scalera, 3 smooth gills, finned ears and sharp canines

This isn't a rule, and in modern times there are few families of sirens or mermaids that havent mixed with other monsters at some point

Both species have shape-shifting abilities.

Mermaids have two forms, and can switch between them at will, though the process takes hours and the mermaid will have to stay in either aquatic or land form for a couple weeks before changing again. though this wait time can be speed up with tailsmen, it's can cause health problems.

Siren can shift their features at will, including shifting from aquatic to non aquatic with no wait time, some families of Siren encourage "good breeding" and fostering shifting abilities to the point of shifting bone structure, hair, colors and gender at will. This level of shifting controll is a very desirable trait, and cannot be learned.

Alejandro is one of these few families who try to stay purely Siren

Hes a 100% Siren, but unlike his brothers he lacks any shape-shifting abilities, a flaw that has brought him great shame (this is just a genetic fluke, it's like a birth defect)

but he has both a very powerful ability to enchant his words and natural charisma. Dangerous combo.

Because of the well known knowledge that Sirens can manipulate people with ease, Alejandro semi pretends that he is a Mermaid, using his long hair to obscure his gills

He more just lets people assume hes a Mermaid and does not correct them rather than actually lying

He lies about many things but outright lying about species is a bit much

Siren Speech doesn't work as good if someone's also using magic at the same time or knows what's up about it

It doesn't work that great on Heather, Duncan or Harold point blank, or Lindsay, Beth Trent and Justin if they're shifting or shifted

Good thing hes manipulative on his own!

The Duncan and Harold bullying arc turned Street smart vs actually Smart but make it witches

Mostly just picking shit up as he goes

"Stole" (it was free) a pamphlet on different types of magical symbols and has managed to make the symbols illustrated in it work for almost every spell he wants

Fueled by raw unrelenting audacity

Real lore tho- magic is created with belief and harnessed with confidence, you can either go the intellectual route and control every variable and have trust in your control of those variables to harness the magic like Harold, or like Duncan, have enough semi-unearned confidence in yourself to harness magic with little need for more than a few variables.

Basically as a general rule, it has as much meaning as you truthfully believe it does

Doesn't explain what hes casting or how hes doing it

"Where'd you learn how to do that?"

"what are you a cop?"

(learned from illustrations, word of mouth, and other witches on the street)

Has a couple stick n poke magical symbols, several other scribbled on symbols that are temporary

Biggest one is a glyph for fire on his hand, he doens most of his spells using it

Has burns around his glyph tattoos from spells backfiring cuz he got distracted

Uses sharpies, spraypaint, eyeliner and the insides of firecrackers for drawing symbols

If he needs a magical material he'll typically substitute whatever he has on him, belief goes a long way.

"Pure Holy Silver?... this earring looks silver enough

This doesn't work for potions cuz potions are only a little left to normal chemistry.

Has alot of talisman he wears

Carries extra ingredients on him ala accessories cuz fuck it it looks cool

Mains his spells with symbols, uses potions or material fuels if he cant make a good connection between what he wants and one of 10 symbols he remembers at any given time

Uses moonlight, bones, rocks, and personal artifacts as fuels

How duncan casts a spell

Draws glyph -> creates a mental connection between what the glyph means and what he wants to do (this is mostly subconscious with Duncan he doenst know what hes doing he just knows he does it well)-> activates glyph physically (ie hitting, tapping, lighting, punching, tracing with finger)

Example: draws fire glyph on Chris's camper -> wants to set it on fire but not the surrounding grass and trees -> smacks the side of the camper that has the glyph on it -> profit

House of the Dragon Finale/Series thoughts

As someone who finished Fire and Blood a few days ago… oh boy do I have some thoughts.

Obviously spoilers below the cut for all of S1 and for F&B, don’t read if you don’t want spoilers, etc etc.

Oh fucking BOY what a goddamn mess

Let’s get the rant/complaining out of the way first:

Just to be clear, the cast are all amazing, my complaints are NOT directed at them, I love them, they did the best with what they had. The writers, however: 🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻

The writers so wanted to make Team Green as likeable as possible, it’s actually pathetic, and they basically whitewashed every single one of their actions instead of allowing them to do morally bad things - instead, everything was a misunderstanding or an accident.

Like hear me out, the reason Team Green is even interesting to read or watch is BECAUSE of the bad things they do. That’s literally ten times more interesting than “oopsie daisy! Accidentally started a war” and no one actively choosing to do anything

All of the key Team Green players have basically no agency, it’s actually sad: this is especially obvious in regards to Alicent and Aemond

In F&B, Alicent intentionally ignored Viserys’ wishes of putting Rhaenyra on the throne and put her r*pist son on there instead. In HOTD, it’s “Alicent misunderstood the ramblings of a clearly delirious and dying man and is not in the wrong”. Also in F&B, she is much older than Rhaenyra, who is only 10 when Alicent and Viserys marry - which makes it kind of funny because Alicent is literally beefing with a 10 year old. But in HOTD, they aged Rhaenyra up and Alicent down to be the same age, and invented some “they were clearly lesbians” BS for no reason - and no, it’s not me being “homophobic”, the fact is that Rhaenyra and Alicent’s friendship/relationship has constantly reminded me of a toxic friendship that I was in for more than half of my life, so no, I don’t ship that thank you very much

By the way, accusing Daemyra fans of being homophobic because we don’t ship Rhaenicent is so fucking dumb, most of us are gay/lesbian/bisexual/not straight?!? And most of us are mad that they erased Laena/Rhaenyra in favour of some toxic nonsense with Alicent

I don’t even like Alicent but the whole Larys-foot-scene was so unnecessary. What was the point in showing her as a victim even after her husband’s death? What was the point in showing yet another example of abuse? I’m so tired of shows using abuse and violence against women for shock value or plot drama, it’s so gross and it’s never treated seriously or with the sensitivity it deserves. This whole show has basically made the female characters defenceless weak victims and made the men key players

And no, I’m not saying victims of abuse/assault are weak or whatever. I’m saying that the show has gone out of its way to make every single female character a victim instead of showing any of them actively making any decisions/taking any action, and instead of giving them actual character development. And I’m also saying that this show hasn’t dealt with the topic well, it’s been very mishandled.

Basically… Let let women be evil! Let women be fucking unhinged!

Then there’s Aemond: his character defining moment is him becoming a kin-slayer and murdering his teenage nephew in that Storms End moment. He celebrated the fact he did it. But in HOTD, it’s painted as “oops he didn’t mean to! He just couldn’t control his dragon!”… which is so lame for him as a character, like what makes him and Team Green interesting is that they do awful things. It being reduced to accidents is just so lame.

In one episode you’ve got writers like “daemon is evil and I don’t know why people like him”, and then another it’s “he loves his family and he’s got light sides too”… it’s a MESS

Can I just say that Rhaenyra has also been diminished and denied any agency as a character either; we saw some of that fire and fierceness in her when she was younger, but then when older she kind of just became really complacent and lost that fire. And that’s not me blaming Emma, they did great with shitty scripts they had, but it’s a problem.

Like you seriously think that book!Rhaenyra would have just accepted being choked?!? She’d have fucking murdered the man who did that

WHICH BRINGS US TO DAEMON

Matt Smith clearly pissed someone off at HBO because how is it that every single scene that shows Daemon in a remotely positive light is deleted?!? Eg. Hugging his daughters, comforting Rhaenyra after Visenya, etc. Matt Smith HAS to have somehow rubbed someone the wrong way because that poor man has been done so dirty

Matt Smith is quite frankly the ONLY one who fucking understands Daemon at this point, judging by his interviews, even GRRM is getting the side eye from me at this point given how he signed off on this travesty of an adaptation, especially given that he said Daemon is his favourite Targaryen

Daemon would NEVER hurt Rhaenyra is the thing (not unless it was in a kinky way), and anyone who respects the source material knows that. Are they the healthiest couple? No, not in the slightest, but this is the world of ASOIAF, pretty much no couple is 100% healthy in this universe, and they were actually one of the healthier examples quite frankly (as opposed to Aegon/Helaena, Sansa with Joffrey and Ramsey, etc)

“Why are you so surprised he choked Rhaenyra? He killed his first wife” — that’s just it, in F&B he was nowhere NEAR the fucking Vale when Rhea fell. Like the book made it painfully clear that he was not there when she fell and died several days after… but the show had to make him evil somehow, because apparently feminism is now “all men should be evil”.

One thing I will say is that at least the show made their relationship less of a probable “groomer” thing. Although, in the context of the world of ASOIAF, a teenage girl would be considered of age and married off - by modern standards, no, that’s wrong, but that world isn’t running by modern standards so 🤷🏻 but yeah, I felt like the show made it less like Daemon was grooming her at the start and more like they had a chemistry simmering under the surface that they were both playing around with? Idk

Also, no, don’t give a fuck that they’re uncle and niece: incest is quite literally a Targ tradition, literally all of them marry their brothers/sisters/uncles/aunts/cousins etc. In real life? Absolutely agree, in real life that’s gross and I don’t condone that, but this is a FANTASY show. Also, if you’re watching a show about a family that is literally built on incestuous relationships, then don’t complain when there’s incest 🤡

This show has given the show-only fans brain rot because they literally saw Rhaenyra go “I’m not a child, I want you” to Daemon and STILL think he forced her into their marriage, like no sis, girlie was gagging for him and I don’t blame her!

I literally don’t care what the show runners and writers say, they’ve proven they don’t know what the ever-loving fuck they’re talking about: I am going to continue firmly believing that the reason Daemon left suddenly at the brothel is because he didn’t want to fuck her in a dirty brothel because he knew she deserved better than that - that, and he realised that she was still very young and inexperienced, and he didn’t want her to jump into it spur of the moment only to regret it later. If Rhaenicent shippers can believe Alicent and Rhaenyra are in love (lmfao) and that Alicent cut her arm open out of love (🤡) I’m allowed to believe this if I want to!

I will admit that leaving her there with her pants down was a shitty thing to do, but hey, it’s Daemon, he’s morally grey and that’s why we like him! I’m going to theorise that he had to get out of there as soon as possible because he knew if he stayed, he’d do something he’d regret (like taking her against a wall)

The fact that Baela and Rhaena had barely any lines, especially in the last episode, is fucking disgusting. Like truly disgusting. The show had time to show us that disgusting feet scene as well as Aegon wanking out a window but NOT to give those two girls any lines??? Especially since they’re black???

Also, Baela in F&B is described as having cropped her hair as short as a boy's, so it would not whip about her face when she was riding, and as being a tomboy - not just as a child but as an adult too. We saw a little of that when she was younger but they seem to have abandoned that since aging the kids up?!?

By the way, Laena was done SO dirty by the writers; changing her death from childbirth to basically offing herself was… definitely a choice. On the one hand, yes, showing her dying in childbirth five episodes after Aemma dying in childbirth may be repetitive, but guess what? That’s life for women in this universe! And it’s like she decided that it’s more honorable to kill herself than die in childbirth, like the way she talks about not wanting to die giving birth is very… off. It’s like the writers are saying it’s not feminist to die giving birth or some shit???

I do genuinely feel like some of the time skips (especially the one after Rhaenyra and Laenor’s wedding) were a mistake. I personally didn’t feel connected to most of the characters who died because we didn’t get to actually spend that much time with them or get to know them. Like Harwin??? Laena??? A lot of what happened between time skips was simply told and not shown, which is lazy storytelling quite frankly.

The way that Visenya’s death was handled was so bad, oh my god?!? They didn’t even mention her name, the fact Rhaenyra in E1 had named the baby in Aemma’s stomach Visenya if it was a girl, also the fact that Dark Sister (Daemon’s sword) was wielded by Visenya in the days of Aegon the Conquerer… none of that is there. It just comes and goes like it’s nothing.

Also the fact that Daemon’s grief over the simultaneous deaths of his brother and his daughter are just… brushed over completely. It just really pisses me off because men’s feelings are often brushed aside when it comes to miscarriages/stillbirths, and also for any kind of loss quite frankly; we got two quick shots of him on the beach and that’s it. And we know Matt Smith shot more because there’s photos of him on the beach shooting it, doing all kinds of shit like on his knees in the water etc. It hits especially hard considering a) he already lost Laena and their third baby under similar circumstances, b) he’s also grieving his brother, and c) according to leaks, he was supposed to comfort Rhaenyra after she gave birth to Visenya. They were supposed to have a moment of grief together… and HBO/this show shat all over that.

I also need to say something about Rhaenicent shippers in general: yes, maybe there are some Daemyra shippers out there who have been dicks - there are literally shitty people in every fandom. I’m sorry if any Daemyra shippers out there have harassed or bullied Rhaenicent shippers because that’s not okay, most of us don’t condone that. But it’s not like Rhaenicent victims are all innocent because on the Daemyra discord, for nearly two months straight, we’ve had numerous trolls (including Rhaenicent shippers) come into our chats and harass us, saying we’re disgusting and even a few privately messaging me to tell me to end my life over a fucking tv show pairing. Like if you don’t like it, I understand, I truly do - but harassing us over it isn’t okay. Just stick to your corner and we’ll stick to ours.

"Guh-" Cappuccino awoke with a start, hand shooting out from its position beneath him and knocking over a neatly stacked pile of empty cappuccino cups. Something felt like it had gripped him in his entirety, though whatever it was didn't hold him in place. Trying to keep his heart from freaking out further than it already was, the prosecutor would reach across messy documents and take a sip of a long-gone cold coffee that was disappointing at best to consume. "What… was that a nightmare?" He'd wonder to himself, sitting up and giving a stretch, stopping when he nearly felt himself pull a muscle in his back. Cappuccino glanced out the window, seeing a crescent moon shining amongst clouded stars. "Wonder what it was all about… Oh well, back to work."

And back he would go, picking up where he left off on some case he constantly needed to remind himself on the details of. Cases were so much simpler when magic wasn't involved, but when they were, things became much more complicated. It didn't help that this case involved a form of magic that wasn't well known even in Parfaedia… Moonlit magic. Ancient magic toted by wizards long ago, now only used by very few, and understanding of it was so minuscule it made the possibilities in this case so much harder to decipher. Spinning around in his chair and accidentally crushing some discarded cups of caffeine under his wheels, the giant corkboard behind him held enough to make even a scholar go mad. Though to Cappu… it at least made some sense. "So if the suspect was here, and the magic readings were found here… Ugh, but it wouldn't linger that long! Someone else had to have been there to cast that featherweight spell!" Rambling to himself, the red string between images would be shifted here, there, and a third where. Nothing here was adding up, but there had to be something here that he just wasn't seeing! The prosecutor would sigh and get up from his chair, going around it rather than spinning it back around, in order to grab and drink his cold coffee without spilling it. Though as he approached the board again, that same feeling of being gripped made his entire body tense. Losing grip on his cappuccino, the person of the same name would watch helplessly as it fell and spilled all over the carpet. Ugh… Another drink for the floor, huh.

"Geez…" Cappu would groan, " I didn't think that lack of sleep would cause such drastic seizing…" "It doesn't." A second voice, bitterly familiar, would reach the prosecutor's ears. Whipping around to confront the voice, and grabbing a desklamp to shine the intruder, Cappu would find that a certain phantom thief had found their way onto his desk. Standing there. Holding… his… soulstone?! "What- how did you-?! Put that down this instant!!" The prosecutor barked, pushing forward and attempting to scramble onto his desk, only knocking down towers upon towers of empty cups while the thief simply took a step back and off of the desk, leaving them on opposite ends. "Now now," Roguefort teased, unphased by the bright light being shined upon them, "I do not intend on doing anything with your soul. Toying with people's lives isn't my line of work… though that would be interesting if it were true." "What are you doing in my house?! Why are you here!? To laugh at me after you got away!?" Though Cappu would growl and scowl at the thief, Rogue wouldn't do much more than smile and shrug. "I am simply here to prevent your soulstone from being destroyed by your own actions. There's a certain someone who's grown highly concerned about your state thanks to the number of cases you've taken that happen to match against them." Cappuccino would blink, taken aback. "You mean to tell me… that defense lawyer sent you here to check up on me?" How demeaning… He didn't need this- as much as he did appreciate the sentiment. "I would have preferred they would have visited me themself instead of sending you here. They should know how much I despise you…" "Ah, but they did not ask. They merely… implied it." Roguefort would chuckle, looking at the shining stone in their hand and tilting their head at it. "Your soul has certainly grown dim as of late. It is not worth stealing something that has not been well-polished." These insults were certainly not making the prosecutor feel any better, even if the stone getting gently pet sent an ironically warming chill through him. "You are not very good at hiding when you are in true need of help… and as someone who knows the true worth of all I come across, your worth in yourself has been dwindling, hasn't it? With all the late nights and the constant losses against that passionate lawyer…"

"Could you stop with the incessant monologue and tell me what on Earthbread you could possibly want?" Cappuccino snipped, ignoring the strange sensation of having someone touch the purest form of his soul with such gentleness. No one should be doing that- especially not someone as despicable as Phantom Bleu. "Look, sure, Langue is worried about me. Sure, these past few months have been… rough… so what do you want me to do about it?!" "Simply… take better care of yourself. I will be remaining with you until you do so, as a favor for the one who kept me out of prison." "Yea?" Housing the phantom thief? What bullshit is this? "Well good luck, buddy! You've got someone ridden with so many problems that the song with ninety-nine problems would be blown out of the water ten times over! Not to mention I'll just report you the second you let your guard down!" "Hmhm. That's cute." The thief would grip the stone in their hand, causing Cappu to gasp and seize, losing grip on the light in his hand and making the room go dark as the lamp landed with the shade covering the bulb. "Unfortunately, if you were to report me for residing with you, would that not put your reputation under scrutiny? The headlines would abhor you, darling. Rumors would eat you up… Not to mention we would go through the whole song-and-dance again with me winding up disappearing from the courtroom in a flash! It would be better if we just focused on taking care of you, wouldn't it?"

Cappuccino would catch his breath, glaring into the dark as he took longer than before to recover. Had he been squeezed harsher than last time? "You neglected to mention your… the fact that you have my soulstone, and could kill me anytime you wanted." "Kill you? Oh, no, no, no! I am not a beast!" Rogue would step back onto the desk, looking down at Cappu in the dark, eyes shining like a feline shrowded in the shadows. "Though I do plan on using this as a contingency. Would not want you to pass on of your own accord before I had a moment to aid you, would we? Now, care to let me aid you, for that intriguing defense attorney and your own sake?"

"…fine," The prosecutor hissed, crossing his arms and looking only at the thief's eyes. It was the only part he could really see, after all. "But know that I will land you back in court and win, regardless of how much help you give me. I hate you." "Cute. Well then, let's start your little 'rehabilitation' that you often claimed I am the one who needs it so desperately."

Just to recap Steve cheated on you. you found out at a fair you were crying and Hayden (as in Harvard Hottie) had found you crying and you twoo became a thing but Steve never got over you and then you go missing part 1 here

Hayden was worried when you didnt come back that night. The two of you were more than. "Just Friends" he even did a student exchange so he can go to school in the city and be with you. But what terrified him is when you weren't home in the morning he skipped his classes waiting for you to come back. He called your phone sent texts and nothing. The Cops didn't want to hear it. It wasn't 24 hours and maybe you just decided to leave on a trip. Hayden was rolling his eyes. He had tried to explain who your ex boyfriend was but they laughed it off with a "who isn't 'Captain America's' girlfriend."

The next day at dawn you still didn't come home. He was going to go to the tower then and there but he didn't think he'd get far.

He did text his father and call his fathers lawfirm saying his new girlfriend went missing she used to date Caltain America, cops won't take him seriously. But Steve was having trouble letting go. Hayden was truly scared Steve did do something. If he did you'd never be found and he'd get away with murder or worse turning you into some badebment wife kidnapping you never letting you leave. He wouldn't put it past Steve not with how persistent he's been. You never read Steve's messages but Hayden would when he couldn't sleep. Which only made him angry but he needed to know what that so called man was thinking and none of it would have pointed to this.

That night he went to the women's defense class. Hayden had told the woman at check in thst he needed to speak to the instructors his girlfriend came here Tuesday but never came home. Hayden was pale with dark circles and the woman believed him so they were promptly called over. Hayden would've been intimidated if he wasn't so scared for you. He explained or rather rambled that your ex was giving your troubles and he knew this wouldn't be a good idea because he was bound to find you and then Tuesday you never returned home. When he said your name they looked at eachother.

They called Steve down.

He was receiving glances from both Nat and Hill which he didn't quite understand but shrugged it off and his head was tilted a bit with his hands on his hips. Then Nat said

"It's about your ex, the one that was here Tuesday. Shes missing."

Steve's face straightened and his eyes widened while he took a breath almost a gasp in through his closed mouth and went slightly pale."

"When?"

"We just said, Tuesday and as far as we know you were the last person to see her. Your phone."

"What? Why?"

"I won't ask twice Steve." Nat basically commanded

He handed it over knowing what was going to happen next. Nat and Hill noticed Steve's change and it wasn't his typical some one is missing lets go.

"Jesus Christ Steve."

"She said she was taking this class because she was afraid of her ex but...." Hill said looking at the screen as Natasha scrolled.

"Look she was mad at me and she didn't take me seriously a while back whenI said there was a threat but when I left her she was fine."

"So she was walking away?"

"No. Ok look she was crying. She was sitting on the ground crying but she didn't want me around. She didn't believe me about the threat but I-I told her I still had people shadow."

"Steve we stopped that over a month ago why-"

"Because I wanted her to believe me she, she didn't believe a word I said nothing."

"Thats what happens when you say you can't be seen publicly with her and than flaunt another your other girlfriend around at a fair you knew she was going to."

"It wasnt supposed to be like that I- I didn't plan on going the other girl, Rachel had dragged me there saying she just wanted to buy one thing and leave and I insisted on stay-"

"I don't give-"

"I'm not done." Steve practically bellowed at Hayden

"Rachel said she needed help with carying it and next thing I know she's showing me off like a prized dog with two rings on her finger and-"

"And then she saw you ran off crying that hoe I heard her you know, she was crying over you. Rhsts how we met.. You know she never tells anyone who her ex was who hurt her so bad. All she says is her ex."

"I broke up with the - Rachel because of what she did. She showed me off and"

Hearing the words "my girl" from Hayden pissed Steve off. She was HIS girl first. But he knew he had no reason to be pissed it was his fault. And you we now with Hayden.

"You're right. It was my fault I took her for granted I- I met them both around the same time I mean no on talked about being exclusive - but I didn't say at Rachel's place ever I only stayed at....I liked Y/N better I did I just I dont know but I still have everything even the plastic bag that she put all my stuff in. You know I really hoped she kept something but she didn't not even one photo. Steve looked down he was ashamed. He was never like that-he never dated two girls at one and now he lost them both. Not that he cared so much about Rachel that bitch showed him off when she could something he didn't realize until after they broke up but. You, you he kept treasured like a sort of secret mission he kept under lock and key in a safe. A heirloom necklace close to his heart. A dellicate china doll that could break at any time

And if he didn't so that maybe his time wouldn't be divided figuring out who the threat was for, or maybe he w-then it dawned on him. You'd still be with Steve. The others didn't know what came to his mind but his face got even paler as his features stiffened and his jaw ticked.

"Steve what you thinking."

"We need to check the streets for any cameras, reopen the file on the who the threat was from and see if we can chase it down. I want her back."

"She's gone because of you."

"I'm hoping it was a mugging gone bad and she in the hospital otherwise I don't want to think about it."

One thing that ran through Steve's head was Rachel. She wasn't exactly ok with the break up but Steve knew you would've been able to take Rachel in three seconds. There would be no way Rachel knew about you. Steve made sure to keep you two seperate.

Only once a week he'd saw Rachel and the rest he saw you and- and right then he wondered why he even did that. He was with you he slept at your place had clothes a toothbrush his bodywash... no wonder you were so devastated. You thought he was yours. He should've been. He was. He was to dumb to realize. Why the hell was Rachel ever in the picture.

Steve stayed up the whole night there were no videos on the corner where they were. Or even close. Steve hit the table so hard he left a dent.

He went back over the threats the picture the words and he realized it was mostly you. The threats seemed focused on you. He didn't see it before the wording but it made more sense. You were taller than Rachel and the letters reference a hight closeness. Steve realized that originally but there were other

The hair Steve took golden as blonde like Rachel's but golden in the sun. He had looked at thr pictures in his phones his personal and the one he used on missions. your hair was golden in the sun.

There was a comment about music it was thought that maybe it had to do with a location one was at but you sang. And you did a recital near to when they got the note. Just because you hated Steve didn't mean that he wasn't keeping tabs plus he loved your singing he wouldn't have missed the recital even if half the world was in chaos he'd be here with you. He had sent you some roses anonymously. And you had looked so beautiful on stage. He was so proud of you.

You had talked about it for the longest time it would take you 2 semesters to prepare for it. His mind wandered to when you'd reherse and he watch you stop every time you thought your voice faltered a little. He couldn't count the number of time he had told you it was perfect he didn't hear a thing wrong. Languages you didnt know and classical music you didnt like but you lookednso ethereal to him-classical one note said nomething about it being a classic time. Was someone there?

But it was advertised. Around campus and sometimes off. Even Steve had .... he had left a few around the tower thinking just because he didn't want anyone to know you were dating he still wanted to show you off- he was proud of you and that didn't mean people shouldn't get a chance to hear your mqnagnetic voice. That's exactly what Steve was thinking your magnetic voice.

Something about trees and leaves that everyone thought had something to do with Rachel's short stature vs Steve's tall stature and something Steve didn't get but now he realized it was you and Steve had gone to a remote section of a now defunct hiking trail that Steve only knew of from the 40s and would have picnics there under a tree. You'd be so happy to just be able to be outside with Steve he had taken you every chance he got. And you had mentioned one time how you loved the leaves crunching under your feet.

It was you these threats were always about you. They knew about Rachel they had to and didn't care. Then the freaking kidnappers knew Steve cared more for you than Rachel. How big of an idiot was he?

Steve hadn't slept for three days going over everything th threats, the reports of all the shadow agents speaking to them again. But when you were taken it was after they stopped. That was smart Steve was lulled into security and thats when they took you.

Shortly after your anger for Steve subsided you realized your thoughts were more than just from anger... it was the truth...you really never were leaving here. you had just cried. And cried and cried.. Realizing what you said was true you weren't really getting out of there. You had cried and cried. Migraine after migraine pills and tissues were pushed under the door with a note for your migraine. Day after day. You had stopped eating for the most part but you didn't notice.

P.o.v. change

I should've been nicer to Steve maybe. He would come for me. But no one would know. Hayden wouldn't know. Probably think I ghosted him. I paid rent ahead of time. No one would know for months. But if I just forgave Steve I wouldn't be here. Wherever here is. No sun, no clock no nothing. They just seem to turn the lights down and up at what I assume must be day and night.. Steve. I shouldn't even left Steve. Because he'd know I was gone and he would've looked. But he cheated on me. He couldn't even admit it. I dont know what was worse thinking should stay with a cheater to be safe or accepting all the actions and die here. It doesn't matter in the end. Itll be the later no matter what I do. hange zoe from attack on titan - i LOVE that they're a nonbinary afab person who is canonically a mad scientist whilst existing beyond the trope with nuance and dynamism. they're genuinely FUNNY in a way that afab people just aren't allowed to be in media.

bellatrix lestrange from harry potter: i fucking LOVE a crazy woman. a woman who just exists to be crazy and goes around killing people? i eat that shit up.

geto suguru from jjk: SUCH A WELL-WRITTEN ANTAGONIST. his moral compass is subverted so it ends up being the very thing that pushes him down a dark path. [chef's kiss] he's also, HOT

gojo satoru from jjk: the other half of geto. he's such a deeply tragic, mournful character and the way that his constitution is so at odds with his disposition is fascinating to me. i eat up the ying/yang dynamic he has going on with geto (i definitely don't project onto gojo)

jinx from arcane: once again, i love a crazy girl. she's nuanced, she's beserk, she's complex and she's batshit crazy. i love seeing girls portrayed in ways that challenge tropes of femininity.

korede from my sister, the serial killer: such a great read, i love her dry ass sense of humour and her dynamic with her sister. she's so funny in a really deadpan way, she's full of emotion but doesn't express it, and she grapples with really relatable tensions

hercule poirot from various books: i grew up reading him because i LOVED agatha christie. he's such a wonderful representation of masculinity (he's just a little guy) and he's really nostalgic for me.

katie from kira-kira: i read this in my elementary school years and it was one of the first times i saw my experiences as an asian immigrant reflected in a book. her character, and her relationship to her older sister, moved me to tears (i have a thing for sisters)

cristina yang from grey's anatomy: she challenged everything that was established about asian women on television. i loved her spirit, her ferocity, her caustic nature and how she was unapologetically herself.

villanelle from killing eve: another crazy woman, but simultaneously deeply complex and nuanced. seeing her in scenes is literally drugs. i love her dynamic with eve (i have a thing for narrative foils) but she's also an outstanding, unpredictable character

I have many thoughts bc this is one of my fave franchises, so a big chunk of this is me talking about New Tales (all under the read more so I don't clog ppl's dashes or spoil stuff <3)

I can answer 1 and 2 together - my least favorite manufacturer is Tediore entirely because of New Tales. It used to be Atlas because I personally didn't like the whole concept of all these major multibillionaire world-ending companies slowly turning "good" because they were now ran by Lillith's allies? Rhys in BL3 was very underwhelming, funny to revisit but very underwhelming.

I liked the vibe Atlas had back in the first Tales, when Rhys was shown to end up as a very capable and somewhat ruthless CEO (with a very good outfit that BL3 entirely forgot about......im stiLL MAD ABOUT THAT.......) not just Your Funny Uncle With The Moustache Getting Bullied In Promethea :tm:

And. Like, I really LOVED the idea of the weakest manufacturers making a big fucking comeback, y'know funny silly cheap plastic gun Tediore is now The Ruler Of The Universe, who could've thought! But....... The way they handled it in New Tales was, pretty lame?

First of all, from what I remember at the top of my head, Tediore was founded by a woman - Mrs Tediore, right? And then in New Tales, there's a bunch of dialogue/jokes about how Susan Coldwell broke the glass ceiling and how revolutionary it is for a woman to be CEO but. Again, Mrs Tediore founded Tediore.

And then, in that very same fucking game, there's yet another woman as a CEO that no one bats an eye to (IM NOT GONAN THINK.A BOUT THE IMPLICATIONS OF ATHENA BEING THERe. IM JUST NOT). And this also comes from a franchise with a lot of women in very important positions - pointing out how Susan Coldwell is ruthless and important because she's breaking the glass ceiling by being a woman in power when there's many, many, many other female characters doing even cooler shit just....really downplays Susan as a villain. It also puts a weird light onto the already established characters like, Moxxi, who is fully aware of the way people perceive her and uses it against them. Or Lillith who had to step up as the new leader of the Crimson Raiders. Or Maya's journey of finding herself outside a cult that used her. Or Tyreen's entire journey and what led her to have a god complex. As if THEIR struggles and stories aren't that miportant when compared to the vague shit Susan did to become CEO of TEDIORE out of all things lmfao

And putting Susan Coldwell ASIDE of Tediore, they still don't have a leg to stand on, they really just weren't that much of a threat at all. All new characters that were meant to be threatening FROM Tediore just. Died. Gone. Irrelevant. A blink and you miss it.

Something about Borderlands that I really like is that, when one of the major companies or big groups within the setting go through changes like, a new leader or a discovery or something, then it's got big consequences for everyone. It's not just "oh hey i'm the new boss, the previous is dead". You can see it in Atlas' rise to power after figuring out eridian technology and in their subsequential fall that lets other companies get the headstart colonizing other planets. You see it most notably in Jack's own rise to power and then fallout, all the people it affects. His presence AND absence means something to the story.

But Tediore? The entire company becomes so fucking irrelevant the second Susan Coldwell gets the fucking Cosmo and Wanda looking ass gems, they don't affect anything at all. Promethea was shit from the beginning, the process of rebuild was fueled by Atlas and Promethea remained Like That because of Atlas Choosing To Move Headquarters To Space :tm: not because Tediore's sudden arrival.

The moment Jack became CEO, Hyperion as a company affected A DOZEN of characters, with or without his direct intervention - Tediore in New Tales just sits there as a cheap way to bring back manufacturers who haven't done anything relevant to the story so far because all the other ones are too busy being part of the good guys now . They're just a stepping stone for Susan and nothing else and it's very fucking sad?? The real scary villain of New Tales is the introduction of GOD-LIKE SENTIENT GEMS, not a company like we're used to. It makes everything feel disconnected, it makes death and life feel cheap in a franchise that insists on how much every group of protagonists has survived and faced together.

Anu's character revolves around Atlas and her brother. Her entire journey starts because she's fired and her brother needs help. Tediore has nothing to do with any of these things. And entire thing she has about how she'd like to remain peaceful and non-violent? Why not fucking bring PANGOLIN, or ANY of the fucking shield/health companies that exist????

Then there's Octavio, you can argue that he's the most affected by Tediore's involvement because his entire theme is about the community of Promethea, but they do essentially nothing with that aspect of him in the game so it falls flat on its ass. His entire goal is to be popular and have a company, but all it led to was a small consultation company? It's so weak, it only makes him look like the comedic relief and nothing else, which in turn only makes his strained relationship with Anu all the more sad. AND THAT WAS MY FAVORITE PART of this game, the fact that Anu and Octavio's relationship as stranded family was a focus and that you could tackle it, but tackling it through dream sequences with the fucking magical gems is cheap and I seriously can't even remember if there's any actual scenes of these two talking to each other for real, without any dream sequences in the way

And then there's Fran, who does have some of the funniest moments in the entire game and whose design make me really happy. But like the others, she has. no involvement with Tediore, her fucking store got destroyed by MALIWAN.

And then by the end Tediore is just fucking gone ok bye

DO YOU SEE WHY TEDIORE AND SUSAN BEING THE BAD GUYS MAKES SENSE BUT AT THE SAME TIME, IT DOESN'T? THEY'RE IRRELEVANT, BRO, IT MAKES ME MAD. IF YOUR VILLAIN DOESN'T HOLD UP, YOUR ENTIRE STORY CRUMBLES!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for the 3rd question

Ok so I have like. 5 different rewrites/AUs. Because I'm a VERY normal borderlands fan, NO ONE look at me. i refuse to write this in a coheretn way, i have to go to work in 10 minutes and i'm in my pjs

The closest to canon, in which I just adhere to the major beats of the story and try to expand on events that went unnoticed, characters that ended up underdeveloped or straight up ignored / OOC. etc. In this one Katagawa dies, but not before I expand shamelessly on his strained and complex relationship with his family and the company and how blurry the line between those things (yes im thinking about the barcodes) and his abilities as a proper corporate shithead with lots of money, resources and enough genius to STEAL FROM FUCKING ZER0, WHY IS NO ONE SCREAMING SO HARD ABOUT THAT, THIS FUCKER STOLE FROM ZER0 OR BOUGHT SOMEONE WHO COULD DO IT and thought process behind it all. This one also started because I felt horrible at the way Ava was portrayed in BL3, cause the writing is painful but I do love the introduction of a clearly immature Siren to the group of veterans who are supposed to know better and the struggle that comes with accepting change and loss. Also because that Maya kill pissed me off, I love the Calypsos but my god that was so fucking lame for Maya? But this one was written way before New Tales so,,,

The closest to canon V2. in which I take New Tales into consideration. And it pains me. And I never finished it because I'm not strong enough. But trust me when I say I'm making those stupid fucking magical rocks as eldritch and unsettling as possible. If you want to play with life and death so fucking badly you're going to bear with the consequences, you're gonna come back right and wrong as many times as you want and you will never be the same do you FUCKING HEAR ME ANU. I AM SPEAKING DIRECTLY INTO YOUR BRAIN. YOU CAN PLAY WITH DEATH AND LIFE AS MUCH AS YOU WANT TO, BUT I WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO MAKE THOSE THINGS LOSE ANY MEANING. Anyway Katagawa does die here too! and he comes back wrong! and dies again

The self indulgent one, in which everything I would've loved to happen, just happens. And New Tales doesn't exist! Sasha and Fiona are there doing things! Commandant Steele DOES get lore! Athena does NOT fucking become Hyperion's CEO <3. And I expand a little on how the TPS gang were, in fact, a very dysfunctional found family whose love language was ultraviolence and how Timothy and Claptrap cope with everyone's deaths. And Pickle is there too somewhere, having fun. And Gaige doesn't get forgotten until some DLC, she's part of the B team from day 1 and her alcoholism is addressed. And the sirens sisterhood is developed upon outside of just the ones within the Crimson Raiders, something or another about how sirens are still really alien beings and therefore they have vastly different. opinions, thoughts, feelings, experiences? that are inherent to being a siren because you are, in fact, borrowing the power of all the sirens that came before you. the loss of identity is very cool, i think, especially when its paired with the actual choice to remain as you are out of love for your friends. something something, lillith and maya are actively choosing to keep their respective humanities and nourish it, rather than kill it for power like tyreen mightve done. something about how sirens and eridians are so similar but so different. something about Guardians specifically being misguided in their hatred towards sirens due to the loss of their masters. I do think about the Guardians left behind by the Eridians throughout all the universe a normal amount, thank you

The delusional one, in which Angel also lives and Timothy is there. And he has some sort of dysfunctional weird friendship with Katagawa. I feel like the majority of borderlands fans just, have this specific AU in their heads somewhere - specifically just making Angel alive and having her be around Timothy. Like, it just feels like good catharsis for both of these characters, whether they end up as found family or go their own separate ways. But I'm putting all these three through absolute hell before they can finally move on from their shitty pasts with each other as found family. And Ava is Angel's little sister because they both deserve to have a good familial figure in their life that isn't. A Guy That Reminds Them Of Someone Who Hurt Them In The Past. there's something to be said here about me drawing parallels between Katagawa and Troy but we're not getting into that now. And Katagawa forms an identity outside corporate business and understands that he has no fucking right stepping into his surviving sister's life despite having grown as a person. And Troy gets to betray Tyreen and their unhealthy power dynamic is addressed properly and it culminates into BOTH of them fusing with the fucking Destroyer and they die together, with themes of "I do love you, you're my twin, you're my sibling, we came into this world together and we will leave it together, and i'm sorry i took our friendship for granted".

The one with OCs, in which I use my and my friends' OCs to shamelessly insert them in the narrative and this one is my absolute favorite because BL3 enforced my main plot AND THEN NEW TALES RUINED IT WITH ATHENA AS THE CEO OF HYPERION SO ANYWAY, IM LOOKING AWAY. MY OC AND KATAGAWA HOLD HANDS AND MAIM EACH OTHER, IDC

Hi ! My name is Cécile (at least online it is, I’ve had enough stranger-danger talks in school to know better than to give my actual name). I usually write fantasy, science-fiction or urban fantasy, but I’ve dabbled in a few other genre (even poetry… It was a dark dark time XD), and I write about fate vs. free will, rewriting the past, the weight of immortality, over-powered women. And lesbians.

I am a sfw writer (most of the time... I’ve written like three sex scenes and it’s not good so you won’t see any unless I get marginally better at writing them 💀) , but I do tend to write about blood and violence – no sexual violence tho. Tropes you will never find in my writing include Dom/sub relationships because I don’t like strong power imbalance in my ships, but other than that I’m drawing a blank.

In my humble opinion, the best text I’ve ever written… has never been posted. Sorry. It might change one day but for now it’s going to stay in my drive with the 550 other projects. But if you’re curious, it’s a one-shot from the POV of a secondary character, who reminisces about the main character (Lorelei, love of my life) and all the secrets she carries and the weight of her (numerous) sins. I love it because of the dichotomy between what he says and what he keeps quiet, the things he allows to spill from his lips and what he’s trying to forget. At the end of the day, when he talks about her, he says nothing. Nothing true, nothing real, nothing of import. My all time favourite character is Lorelei Douxruisseau, she’s the High Priestess of the goddess of revenge Némésis, she’s immortal, has too much power, is half-mad and as a frankly codependent relationship with her goddess. She’s a god-killer, law-maker, rule-breaker witch and she’s my baaaaby.

(Yes, I do realize that I’ve only talked about a story I’ve never mentioned on tumblr, but that’s not my fault, this project is my favourite and I’m too far into it to just start making a wip page for it. The main novel (that I’m writing with my best friend) is sitting at 250k and we’re not even done with the first book, and the AU I wrote for it is already in its third installment. I wouldn’t even know where to begin…. I’m always down to talk about it tho)

Something I would love (euuuh kinda) for you to know about my writing is more of a warning actually: I change WIP reeeallly often. I get tired of one, so I start writing for something else. Kinda shameless self insert? With my ADHD ass it makes it hard to try to do reader/yn fics so here's a shameless self insert and yeah anything I write is gonna be ADHD coded. First time writing for this fandom OH BOY and first time writing in awhile.

Some idea backstory its the year 2020-2021 but "Goblin" is from 2023 and suddenly a bunch of fictional men are real. This short is set after all the fun plot set up of "why they believe you" and dealing with your clearance having ass that can just open up lovely bits of information for them. (yes I wanted to skip the hard part of setting up plot) Oh and her phone still seems to be connected to back home so there was a fun moment of accidentally showing Soap his Wiki page "Why am I K.I.A?"

They really shouldn't make obstacle courses so much fun. I think as I just swing back and forth on one of the ropes over the mud pit, something I would worry about later. I couldn't stop this one impulse it just looked too fun and nobody was using it. I've seen soldiers just do a casual run through of it so why not just have a little bit of fun. I sigh as I continue to swing back and forth and spin slightly. There wasn't much for me to do today but Price was adamant on making sure I was earning some wage, but hard to keep a coding Goblin happy.

Was weird to find out that there was a version of myself here so no sense in going to try and woo my alternate husband... I've accepted the fact that this is not a dream... but hey I get to try and see if the lotto numbers from back home work here and I can give myself a nice stack of cash, Nikolai is such a wonderful man and knowing my dumbass I won't notice a damn thing. That's been the hardest thing... going from sleeping in a bed with another person to being alone... no warm body next to yours with an arm wrapped tightly around you. Muttering for you to not go to work and just stay home... god and living on my own for literally the first time in my life is going as awful as I dreaded. My nuro ass can't thrive alone only survive... momma raised a survivor but I was so use to not being in survival mode with my husband that it stung to go back.

At least Soap or Johnny was nice enough to stop on by occasionally of course he'd make it worse at times... triggering me and making me all antsy. Thank Jesus for Simon or Ghost... I couldn't tell if he was still mad at me calling him Simon when I first saw him but now he just helps. I think he was the first person to pick up the fact that I could hardly live alone.

I had to be thankful that Gaz and Price were married and that I didn't have the four of them mother henning no I only got two though. I continued to swing back and forth without a care in the world. Though I started to get a care... I looked down at the mud in the pit. It was a good drop compared to the side of the mud hole. Just a swing to the side. I gripped the rope tightly as I would move my foot out and get unbalanced but I was so focused that when I heard Johnny say if I needed help it made me discombobulated.

Ghost rushed over after hearing a distinctive shriek and Soap howling with laughter. He rushed over in time to see Johnny's face get covered in mud as their tech Goblin crawled her way out of the mud. How she just smiled at him as he walked over and she just simply shrugged. "Yeah not my smartest lack of impulse as I'm now muddy for the rest of the day. But! I did figure out my coding issue! 'Scuse me gentlemen!" His hand shot out before she could get too far.

"Yer not going to get the computer room muddy." Ghost said as if it was obvious.

"But I don't have a change of clothes and I have an inspired moment." Goblin said but let out her screech as she was just picked up and taken over to the women's barracks.

"You need to shower hen. I'll get you something while your clothes are tossed into the wash."

"Fine. But I'm blaming you when I forget my eureka moment."

"Yeah I can live with that." Ghost said pushing her inside to the showers.

Goblin was the best way to describe her. She was small, loud, and weird. Not given the fact she was from a few years in the future and the fact that they all existed as video game characters but her quirks, her knowledge, and just the way she carried herself. Soap and her could feed off of each other till she crashed and that is when Ghost would have to intervene. She spoke less and less about her life back home... the lads she left behind as it seems that life continued on and she was still there.

She was giving up on the fact that this was a dream as well... and for the two of them she was opening up how painfully lonely she was. She could see her old life right there being lived by another version of herself. For Simon he knew for her it was akin to the trauma he went through... all of her nets and family and friends basically gone. Ghost could help her keep grounded and well Price offering her a job to have some cash for her to spend on hobbies helped. But more often than not she was at the base unwilling to go home alone where there was no one to soothe her mind.

Soap was eager to fill that void for her, perhaps it was misguided in the sense of he was thankful to her, but Ghost enjoyed the way they would just sit in silence and a few times she thanked him for just sitting in the same room as she played a game, drew, or whatever she did to stave off the pending breakdown. Though she joked that she was like that song Tubthumping she always got back up again. But Ghost was worried when she wouldn't bounce back.

Over the last few months, you had gotten rather close with Robin. Even though you were from a different town to her you made the effort to go visit Hawkins often and you had invited her to watch you perform at a couple of shows. You got along well, often rambling with each other about films you both liked and talking about your plans for the future, both hoping to get out of your small hometowns to somewhere you can feel more like yourself.

Although you hadn’t explicitly asked, you had an inkling that she was gay and hopefully she liked you as you were very much interested in her, but they were both questions that you didn’t want to have to voice. You had enough self-confidence to believe that she could like you, but you didn’t want to ruin the newly formed friendship you’d created.

You finally felt enough courage to try and test the water. You invited her over on a Saturday that she wasn’t working with the plan to show her some new music you had been working on. Most of your band took their turns at song writing but you wanted to show Robin one of the songs you had recently written, with the main purpose of seeing if she was interested in women.

With Robin in your room, you handed her your songbook, letting her have a read over the new lyrics you’d worked on, with a partial aim of coming out to her. The words ‘I’m a lesbian’ weren’t written on the page but it was very evident within the lyrics that you weren’t interested in men. She looked over them a couple of times before hesitantly making eye contact with you.

“Are… are you gay?” She whispered.

Oh my god welcome back to one piece I know you took a break from it and all but I have to ask, do you think Ann is tsundere? Like when I was reading the book I had this idea that Kuzan likes to tease Ann like he can read her better than most so he knows when she wants to cuddle but tries to tease her to say it in front of recruits hell how do you think the marines react when the two are sent on a mission? Like I could see if a marine asked about them the other marines would stop them being like you don't question whatever it is that they are! Like he will sometimes be openly affectionate to her just to get her mad since he finds it cute!

Thank you!! I’m glad to be back. honestly I don’t really know the classifications for deres but if I had to say then yah she is just a little bit at least. I think Ann would be a lot more willing to play along if it weren’t for being a marine, it’s a respect thing in an organization that’s pretty sexist towards women so it’s more or less about keeping face with those who are below her rank. Her friends tease her about it (bell-mere) and her superiors bet on it (Garp) or they’re completely indifferent (sakazuki and probably kizaru). Alas Ann really can’t escape it, pretty much everyone knows Kuzan likes her and that’s quickly rectified in the cases that don’t know. It’s probably the most interesting in some of the marine’s daily lives and they actively sabotage attempts by newer recruits to try and help them out (this is also to keep from cheating in the active betting pools(yes plural) for Ann and Kuzan) said bets that are even her grandfather participates in (quite openly might I add). Also Garp will never tell whose money it is but sengoku is def in on the bets as well, Garp just bets for him unashamed as always.

I think it’d be really funny that because its such an open secret that both Ann and Kuzan know about the bets (not quite sure if any of this is headcannon or pieces of the story i remember) Kuzan who has probably tried to bet in favor of himself more than once and Ann who futilely ignores it (even that one time she walked in on a group of new recruits and even some people who are higher up (not as high as her but still)discussing their bets. And yknow if a couple people had double duty for a month after that then who could blame her lol.

There is a new bet for every single mission they’re sent on together, bets have to be placed at least a day in advance to when they get back with the exception of if they get back unannounced. recruits who haven’t been initiated to the betting pool are swiftly introduced and beli is divvied up for previous bets to make sure everyone gets their fair share. (I think it would be really funny if rosinante is the current record holder for both closest guess and bets won, not because he knows what the hell is going on with them half the time but just because his guesses are really lucky)

MADS!! I just finished the podcast you did with Rachel and there was so much I enjoyed. Funnily enough, I was reading about The Gilded Age before your podcast and listening you talk about your research for your fic was so enjoyable! Do you have any books/articles you could recommend or point me in a direction you enjoyed going? I loved what you found in regards to the sex practices of the time. Also, your discussion of your early days of fandom…godddd I related so much. I am from the message board days haha and you mentioning the Bones and Castle wars spoke to me lol it’s was so wild! Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

That delights me that you were reading about that time period and that you're interested in it! If you click the read more on the podcast post you will find a list of some books I read while studying the Gilded Age that Rachel was kind enough to include.

As far as the sex practices, those were not found in books on the Gilded Age but when I was researching the queerness of the Wild West/cowboys. Unfortunately I did not save the articles, but there are a lot of great books on the racial diversity of the Wild West that I also recommend you check out and on the roles of women in that era, which includes discussions about sex workers (including the "menu" that brothels had). Wikipedia's page on the history of condoms was also a great jumping-off point about sexual safety during the time period.

Random fun fact: Did you know that as the use of condoms spread some people called it a "French device"?

My information on Walt Whitman, hilariously, came about when reading about Bram Stoker and I ended up on a research side tangent. Brammy boy had a major crush on Walt and wrote him several gushing fanboy letters, and they struck up a long-distance friendship as a result. Obviously I don't wish to put labels on a relationship that's not mine but the friendship was uh. close. *coughs*

I recalled this info when writing the Reincarnation AU and so incorporated it. That's a great thing about writing, you never know when other things you've learned or read about will come in handy for a story.

IT WAS SO CRAZY RIGHT. Oh my LORD message boards! There are things I miss about older fandom days for sure but there are also things I don't miss and trying to keep track of conversations on multiple message boards and LJ threads and in the comments on fics on individual sites is one of those things ha ha.

Honestly I had a lot (a lot) of nerves about doing the podcast but I'm glad I did and one of the reasons is the people telling me they also remember their fandom days as similar to mine and how my podcast episode gave them nostalgia and reminded them of their own experiences. It sometimes feels like I'm a "fandom old" for remembering these things (and I'm not old at all!) so it's nice to have shared experiences/memories and remember that there are others who came up in fandom during that time.

YES YOU CAN BE A NATURE GIRL!! Basically there was this youtube trend going around where people were like "Guess this twisted wonderland character's name / unique magic" but a lot of them were having their parents guess and so in one video this person had their mom and dad guess, one half of the cast was for their mom and the other for their dad, when it got to their dad's side he thought they were all girls

Jade is surrounded by mushrooms (She is a big fan of those) so with this knowledge he called her "Nature girl" so thank you to that very confused father because now I see Jade as transfem.

She ran away from octavinelle once because she was being very petty and so was Azul so she goes to pomefiore and tells Vil she's going be his faithful servant from now on. Vil is like.. okay.. interesting. So Vil bosses her around and turns her into an errand girl, after serving Vil for a while she's like. "Vil, I have decided I am going to work with Azul again. I am no longer mad at him. Peace!" AND I COULDN'T STOP LAUGHING THAT IS SO STUPID. SHE TRIED SO HARD TO PROVE HERSELF TO VIL JUST TO GET AWAY FROM AZUL. EVEN GOING THROUGH THE ACT OF TRYING TO CHANGE DORMS, and I can't exactly remember everything Vil asked Jade to do but it was getting to a point where Vil would ask Jade for the simplest of things that Vil was PERFECTLY capable of getting done on her own. Jade did this all with a smile. She is SO SILLY. My friends are very big leech twin enjoyers but one likes Floyd and the other likes Jade so I sat in a call with them while they argued about who was the superior twin. Fun times. ( I love both of them, Floyd was actually the final push I needed to start reading through the whole main story. So thank you for that buddy!!) Fun fact I actually have a Vil plushy.. she is big and I love her. I get into my room and look at her and I tell her how important she is to me. DEAR I AM RAMBLING ON. I will confirm though, Azul is very guy and no matter how hard I try he does not leave my head. I love him though and I wouldn't have it any other way. Last Album?

So I actually haven't listened to all the new music from some of my favorite artists this year because I've been busy but at the start of the year I listened to all of "Ctrl" by SZA. This album effortlessly slides into my top 10 favorite albums. I don't know why I didn't get into SZA before but in January I was like "I need more of her voice", I decided to listen to more of her stuff and now I'm a huge fan. CTRL is such a good album within which SZA allows herself to be vulnerable about her relationships, insecurities and other things that people would generally never admit. My favorite song from CTRL is "Broken Clocks" but every now and then a different one comes back to me that I have on repeat for weeks. Also she casually mentions that she's dated women on this album(which came out in 2017) and confirmed it in a follow-up interview but I never really see people mention her as a queer/lgbt+ artist which is strange to me.

Last Movie?

Last movie I watched was Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness(it's finally available in HD digitally for you to DisneyMinus it). NOW I'M NOT ONE OF THE MCU GIRLIES but I do like spiderman movies and the last one had a end credits trailer(marvel studios, normal movies don't have these!!) for this one so I decided I would watch it too. However, I know marvel movies insist on trying to be some sort of fucked up gestalt so I watched WandaVision and Dr Strange 1 beforehand. DSMOM was not that good imo. The feats of power weren't really that impressive, they BARELY explored the multiverse for a movie that was supposed to be about it(Unlike our beloved All of It All Around At the Same Time ) and I believe they nerfed Wanda so that she wouldn't win her fights before they started. Wanda's lines were very iconic though and I think those saved the movie.

Currently Reading?

I started Chainsaw Man(manga) by Tatsuki Fujimoto a while back but I've been lazy with the reading so I'm not very far(I've become weak;teenage me used to finish entire manga series in like 2 days). I'm like 2 chapters in and it's alright but idk if I'll like it. It's very highly rated and popular among weebs, which isn't really a great vote of confidence, so I'm hoping it's good.

I haven't read any actual novels in while but I think I'll get the next book in the "Chronicles of the Avatar Series" once it comes out in a few days so I can find out the tea on Yangchen.

Currently Watching?

Harley Quinn(animated series). I'm not a huge DC(or marvel) fan because I was a weeb as a teen but it's refreshing to see DC from a modern and relatable point of view. I love observational humor and series that don't take themselves too easily so I really like this one.

I'm also watching Odd Taxi(anime). I don't think it's very popular but it got good ratings and was recommended by a close friend. It's alright so far.

I'm like halfway through Our Flag Means Death(live-action show) but I got busy and forgot about it. It's not bad but pirates and that time period aren't always interesting to me.

As I'm writing this I'm receiving word that season 4 of What We Do in the Shadows has started so I guess that's how I'll be spending my night.

Currently Craving?

Something sweet... a peach tree... Jk I'm not a wild woman and I do get the blues. Anyway maybe something savory like ____ or chicken?
