Keep You Safe - A Marcus Moreno Statesman!AU
Tumblr media
Pairing: Statesman Agent Marcus Moreno x Statesman Agent Reader x Agent Jack "Whiskey" Daniels
What’s this? Pat’s writing fanfic now? Well… no, not exactly. 😅 Consider this a loose concept for a fic that I’d want to write if I had a knack for writing, inspired solely by Pedro’s Emmy’s look. As soon as I saw it, it reminded me of Marcus Moreno and the costumes from the Kingsman movies. My brain’s been unable to think about anything else for the last couple days so I'm hoping that setting some of my headcanons free will help free up some brain space haha
Not really any warnings, it’s all pretty brief anyway. Highlights include: pining/unspoken feelings, fake dating, a love triangle dynamic that evolves into polyamory. The Boys keep their canon backstories for the most part. Reader is gender neutral.
The set up:
After sustaining an injury during his last mission, Heroic-turned-Statesman agent Marcus Moreno finds himself on temporary desk duty. He’s promised his daughter that he’ll stay out of harm’s way until he fully recovers. Desperately needing to feel useful while stuck behind the scenes, he's excited to receive his next assignment - as your new handler.
You have been a Statesman field agent for a few years now and have gone through your fair share of handlers - this isn’t your first rodeo. Nonetheless you appreciate Marcus’s unique experience and perspective as a former superhero. He’s kind, patient, and respectful, and the two of you become close rather quickly (while still keeping things professional).
While you’re away on missions, Marcus spends most of his time with Ginger, monitoring mission statuses and tech needs. His powers and weapons knowledge make him a good fit for the tech specialist team. Marcus and Ginger get along so well that their coworkers begin to joke that Ginger is his work wife. And yeah, they’re good friends, but she’s seen how he gets when you’re gone, steadfastly studying the wall of screens. He only has eyes for you.
Eventually, you get assigned to an undercover mission where you’ll be posing as one half of a romantic couple. Your lucky partner? One Jack “Whiskey” Daniels. You’ve worked with Jack a couple times before and while you find him to be a bit much sometimes, he’s charming and thoughtful under all the bluster.
Marcus, on the other hand, is apprehensive. He hasn’t met Jack yet but he’s heard the gossip around HQ about our flirty, larger-than-life cowboy. Ginger’s not-exactly-glowing comments about him certainly don’t help either, but she assures Marcus it’ll be fine.
Cue the mission with all its potential for tension and pining:
from Marcus having to watch the person he secretly has feelings for “fall in love” with someone else. Seeing the mission unfold and realizing that Jack’s not quite what his reputation suggests
to you actually slowly falling for Jack throughout the course of the mission (because it’s a fake dating story after all) but also having Marcus’s voice low and steady in your ear, always reminding you of his presence and the task at hand
to Jack knowing this is a fake arrangement (and that you and Marcus kinda sorta have a “thing” going) but wanting it to be real anyway, feeling his heart stirring for the first time in a very long time.
And obviously there’d be all the classic tropes. Couple practice. First kisses. One bed. A fancy gala. You know.
Maybe at one point, Jack becomes briefly incapacitated and Marcus has to step in and take his place for a moment to keep up ✨the ruse✨ Because they do look awfully similar from afar and who’s gonna notice really...
Something something the bond between two men, who’ve both experienced the loss of their previous partners, unexpectedly finding new love. The both of them witnessing the lengths the other is willing to go to to protect that love.
And then eventually the three of them work it all out and get together and fuck nasty. the end :)

potter, james potter
Tumblr media Tumblr media
@roalinda @lovelymasks
“Potter, James Potter” is basically a Spy x Family au. A super-spy from a country that is vaguely based on Berlin Wall!western europe (Westalis) has to go undercover in a country that is vaguely based on East-Germany (Ostania), in order to ensure there’s no new war starting. He has to assume a new identity, acquire a child, enrol the child in a prestigious school, and make contact with the Main Guy who’s a big danger to a new war starting, Abraxas. He also has to get married. It’s a found family but an actual family, basically.
James Potter (code name: Prongs; most talented spy of the Order of the Phoenix, the intelligence agency; professional liar) is a psychiatrist who adopts a little orphan boy called Harry. Harry can read minds. James does not know this. Harry’s also four, not six; James does not know this either. But he’s ‘papa’ now and he takes this task very seriously.
In order for little mind-reading Harry to enrol in the super elite school, James also needs to be married. His informant Franky Franklin Severus Snape tries to help him with this but Severus doesn’t make a convincing woman (to Harry’s amusement). Enter Sirius Black, code name ‘Padfoot’: a regular guy who is terrified to be seen as a spy, and who needs a boyfriend/husband ASAP. He’s also one of the best Assassins in the country, but nobody knows this. They get engaged in a very beautiful scene filled with dead criminals and an exploding grenade. It’s all very romantic.
Anyway then they’re a family and it’s a whole fluff fest. The whole family loves each other to pieces (“For the mission” - Agent Prongs) but They Do Not Know about the secret identities. An idyllic family of Liars. Harry (very advanced for his actual age) hates studying but needs to in order to advance in school. Harry also punches Draco (very annoying; son of the guy James needs to stop) on the first day of school. He’s one step closer to expulsion every time he enters the school and it stresses James out So Much because Harry needs to remain in school because the mission would fail otherwise. Sirius is mainly stressed about being a Good Husband (he doesn’t know how). Snape is a reluctant fun uncle. Also Lily is like the Head Spy of the Order.
Regulus (raised by Sirius and obsessed with Sirius) also has a secret identity: he’s part of the secret service. He Hates James so much. Despises him, really. James is not worthy of Sirius. He’s got a bit of a brother complex/daddy complex.
Also James figures out that Regulus is part of the Secret Service the moment Regulus tries to ‘get to know’ him. James cannot, for the life of him, figure out that Sirius (the husband he’s with for several hours every day) is an assassin. James panics when he thinks Sirius is mad at him (for the mission). Love makes blind, I guess.
Here’s a snippet:
James Potter walks past bags of rubbish and through rotting, rusted gates, approaches the doors of a rather dilapidated building without a hint of anxiety. Wool’s Orphanage isn’t exactly the height of luxury, but it’s for the best: these children are scarred and quiet and likely hardworking, easy to forge a background for. He would know.
The Matron, an older woman who calls herself Mrs Cole, is drunk. The children may be fed and dry and clean, but they all look miserable and frightened. Prongs—James asks for the smartest kid of the lot, one who can at least read and write. Matron doesn’t seem to have to think for long before leading him to one of the many cramped little rooms, and then gestures at a little boy who can’t be older than four.
“I’m six,” says the boy immediately, rocking back and forth on his feet. He’s cute, in that way a ragged animal with torn ears is cute. His eyes are massive and green, his black hair is a mess, his features are sharp. “I’m Harry.”
“He doesn’t look six,” says James. Can he even read yet?
“I guess.” Mrs Cole sniffs. “Smartest of the lot though. Can do the crossword—”
Harry procures a puzzle book and a pencil from somewhere, sits down, and begins to scribble. It’s not a particularly hard crossword for a trained spy such as himself, and Prongs can answer several hints correctly with nary a glance; but then Harry holds the crossword up, triumphant, and Prongs sees it’s all filled in correctly.
He does not goggle. Spies do not goggle.
“I’ll take him,” he tells the boozed-up Matron. The wording does not leave a bad taste in his mouth. That’s been trained out of him.
“Brilliant,” says Mrs Cole. She looks sickly pleased to have Harry taken off her hands. “I’ll get the papers ready.”

Get or Get Got
Jack Daniels x F!Reader x Javier Peña
Tumblr media
Summary: Jack Daniels, having benefitted from much therapy, retires early from Statesman and founds Jack’s Ranch and Wellness Center, a therapy ranch open to all but specializing in people like he once was: former military or government agents, struggling with living a normal life again. Javier Peña, working on his father’s ranch after trading in his own harrowing career, has a vision of his future there in Tennessee. Can it be possible that such a place isn’t too good to be true? Javier intends to find out.
Tags: oblique (Narcos canon-typical) references to drug trafficking; otherwise no warnings! I think technically this should count as a rated Teen story, especially since the rating will go up later, but for now anyone can enjoy.
Words: 3390
Note: OMG WOW HII and welcome to the official first installment in the rancher boys fic universe!!! These three and their ranch have taken over my brain (and my blog), and I hope you find as much enjoyment in their story as I have :)
I think I’m gonna try to do a fun thing with chapter names for once, and name them all after cowboy sayings or other relevant idioms. This one is inspired by the saying “Sometimes you get and sometimes you get got.”

Tumblr media
Javier Peña is not a nervous man by nature. He doesn’t hem-haw or agonize over which path to take; he reviews all the evidence available to him, and makes a decision. There’s no point in sitting around biting your nails; you either do the thing or you don’t. In his line of work, hesitation got people killed.
In his former line of work, that is. Hunting down drug kingpins who got a little too comfortable on the wrong side of the law, blinded by their bloated sense of self-importance. Dangerous work, his life’s work- until he quit. Too much politics, people in suits manipulating the world to the shape they wanted, regardless of the law or consequences. Irrespective of any set of morals Javier could discern.
So he got out. He had done his due, made an impact. No one could say otherwise. Javier knew this for himself. He had a few regrets- but he knew that if he stayed, he’d have more.
Which is how he ended up here, fingers drumming against the steering wheel of his rental car and boots tapping dust all over the floor.
Hem-hawing.
The visitor’s outpost of Jack’s Ranch and Wellness Center wasn’t far from the main set of barns. Javier could smell the manure from here.
He ran through the debate in his head again. Why check in to the center as a patient instead of outright inquiring about a job?
Just in case.
Oh, this place had glowing reviews. Former military or government agents like him who came home different, traumatized, fearing they’d never be able adjust to civilian life again, humbly and frankly thanking Jack and his team for giving them the tools they needed to recover. Farm and psychology professionals alike praising Jack’s methods and everything the ranch does.
But you never knew what truly happened on the inside. That is why Javier is here, preparing to go undercover one last time- to ensure that this place is really worth it.
A pleasant chime sounds as he opens the door. To one side is a section that looks like a standard tourist shop- some Tennessee-related kitsch, a drinks cooler, a selection of what are probably “local crafts”. To the other is an open space with small clumps of waiting room chairs, likely for discussions with the smiling woman who’s rising from behind the counter.
“Welcome to Jack’s Ranch and Wellness Center, how can I help you?”
--
Javier coughs as a breeze blows the scent of manure to him, stronger now than it was an hour or two ago, before he’d been stuck inside with counselors to appease and forms to fill out. He was pretty sure he’d passed with them, but apparently Jack Daniels approved every admittant personally- Javi’s tour would be the final hurtle.
He surveys the expanse of land as he waits. Much of the setup is familiar to him- he’d grown up on a ranch, after all. His father would approve of the tall fences, the brightly painted signs and buildings. Their family’d had to put most of their work budget toward functionality, not aesthetics. It looked like that wasn’t the case here.
Javier feels another pang of guilt for leaving his pop in the middle of their trip. But one glimpse of Jack Daniels’s setup at that farm expo had been all it took. Once he’d looked past the head rancher’s ridiculously spangled getup, he’d seen the encouraging gestures, the trust and confidence that he clearly inspired among his team. Javi had googled their logo and the idea had wormed into his brain and built a home and a career plan.
“Javier Peña?”
Javi snaps to attention.
Jack Daniels. The man himself is striding towards Javier, long, tightly-pantsed legs eating up the ground. The clinging denim is a darker shade than that of his jacket; the white t-shirt beneath the jacket is tucked in. Who wears white to do ranch work? His belt buckle is big and shiny, but Javier doesn’t have time to study it before Jack reaches him, smile glinting twice as bright.
“Well, it’s nice to meetcha.” He extends his hand.
“Likewise,” Javi says.
Christ, there’s enough twang in Jack’s accent to make a banjo jealous. But his handshake is firm, and while his shirt is pristine, his cowboy boots are well-worn, and rings of dirt under his fingernails leave no doubt that he participates in the dirty work.
Jack is already offering effusive words of welcome, but Javi is only half-listening, absently flexing his hand to the ghostly rasp of Jack’s calluses. His attention is torn between Jack’s spiel and his person- there’s an honest-to-god lasso hanging at his hip, which he casually rests a hand over when he shifts his weight. It’s a movement so thoughtless that Javi immediately clocks it as second nature- Jack is as used to wearing that lasso as Javi is to tucking his gun in the back of his jeans.
“It’s not for show,” Jack says, amused.
Javier realizes he was staring, a second too late to have heard the end of Jack’s speech. “Uh-”
“It gets a lot of questions, especially from bolder folk,” Jack continues, sparing Javi the humiliation of a bumbling excuse. “But I only use it on humanfolk if they’re bein’ real naughty.”
Jack winks, an easy grin turning up one corner of his mustache.
And Javi just keeps staring, because how often is the head of a therapy ranch a stunningly handsome, cowboy hat-wearing personality who winks at his potential wards?
“...Right,” Javi finally mutters. For an utter lack of anything else to say.
Jack straightens up, affecting a businesslike air again. “Well, what are we standin’ around for? There’s work needs doing! Let’s get on with your tour.”
Jack greets no fewer than five separate people before they even reach the second barn. All by name, all with genuine, eye-creasing smiles and claps on the shoulder. Javier watches silently, nodding politely when he’s introduced as a “future newbie” with an almost-touch and yet another wink.
“You let me know how that trick works out, y’hear?” Jack calls after the latest ranch hand.
The man (boy, really, wide-eyed and appearing fearful of rebuke simply for not yet being perfect at his new job) is hustling off to follow Jack’s recently imparted advice. The finer details of dairy barn tech went a bit over Javier’s head, but his eyebrows had raised at the expertise apparent in Jack’s answer. For some reason, despite the dust on the brim of his hat, Javi didn’t expect Jack to demonstrate such nitty-gritty knowledge. Javi had gained his own experience through lessons with his father; he wondered where Jack had learned.
“...Right,” Jack is going on, holding open the door to a third building, an “administrative outpost” and employee space. It must have been the original house on this land- Jack leads Javi through wide open rooms whose wood floors soak up the sunlight from windows on every side. Comfy-looking, mismatched furniture abounds, as do what Javi guesses are personal decorations from the employees- inside jokes that he has no hope of understanding. In the fully-equipped kitchen, a coffeepot whirs and spits, filling the room with its invigorating fragrance.
“I don’t like to overwhelm folks too fast, so we’ll take a little break here. There’s snacks in the cabinets, usually some drinks in the fridge, and it appears someone has so kindly put the coffee to brewin’ for us.”
Jack looks about to say more, when a ringtone trills from his chest. Before Javi has finished reflexively patting his pockets, Jack is excusing himself, whisking the phone from a panel inside his jacket.
“Ginger, darlin’, to what do I owe the pleasure?” Jack’s voice trails away as he strides out of earshot, boots clocking decisively on the wooden floorboards.
Javi’s thoughts snag on the appearance of the sleek phone in Jack’s hand. Something about it kept the sight running on a loop in his head…what was strange about it?
He’s too weary too figure it out. Javi slumps down at the kitchen table, immensely relieved to have a moment’s silence. His arms will be a fine pillow until the coffee is done brewing…
He reacts to the footsteps a beat too slow. “Oh! Sorry-” a feminine voice begins.
Javi all but jumps to his feet, nearly launching the chair across the tiles behind him. Clearing his throat, he straightens, attempting to look more alert than he feels.
“I heard Jack’s voice, so I thought you’d be him, but you’re not.” Your laugh is light and apologetic. “I don’t think we’ve met before. Are you new?”
You don’t look like any ranch hand Javi has ever seen. Like a deity sprung from the earth, maybe. Mud speckled on your graceful arms and eyes that remind him of an open field. But your boots are clumped with dirt and there’s an ID badge clipped to your belt, so you must belong here.
“Uh, yeah. Soon to be, anyway.”
“Oh, is Jack giving you the tour? No wonder you were about to pass out.” You laugh again, this time genuinely, and Javier finds his mouth automatically turning up in response. “Jack’s great, but he can be…energetic. You get used to it. But I won’t interrupt your nap.”
Eyes dancing with amusement, you return to your original quest. Mugs clink in one cabinet, bags of chips crinkle in another. Once you’ve retrieved creamer from the fridge, you turn to the now-silent coffeepot.
Javi sinks slowly back down in his seat, keeping a surreptitious eye on you. He wonders how many ranch hands here are women- and how many of them are the psych-certified. You don’t wear the green bandana Jack had indicated on the first person they met earlier. Other practical questions strike him all at once- will he be able to sneak booze into this place? Are admittants allowed to hook up?
Maybe he should have hem-hawed for longer.
Your phone dings, but only once you’ve finished doctoring your coffee do you pull it out. The bottle of creamer sweats on the counter while you scroll. At the sight of your clearly habitual motion, Javier realizes what it was about Jack’s phone that bothered him.
It wasn’t real. There wasn’t a brand or model like it on the market- only hypothetical designs that Javi remembers seeing in slideshows from his time as an agent. Tech that only the richest- or shadiest- people have.
What the hell shady activity could Jack Daniels be covering up with a therapy ranch?
“Sweet-talker!” Jack reenters the room, every inch of him lighting up at the sight of you. His eyes crinkle. He seems to forget about Javi entirely, all of his attention wrapping around you like an intimate hug.
“Jack.” You give him a warm smile in return. Something in the quirk of your lips makes Javi wonder what he’s about to witness.
“Haven’t seen you in a few days, Silver. You been hidin’ from me?”
“No, just busy with the new alpaca. Her last owners definitely weren’t very nice to her, but I think I’m making progress.”
So you’re the resident…what, animal whisperer? Javi supposes that explains Sweet-talker. And Silver, for silver-tongued?
Jack’s gaze never leaves you. He hangs on your every word with fond eyes and a permanent half-smile. As if he knew he didn’t need to hear your words to enjoy them- the fact that they were from you was enough for him to be content.
Finally you lift your mug to your lips again, using it to hide your amusement. “Aren’t you going to offer your guest a coffee, Jack?”
A jolt of guilt straightens Jack’s spine- although he keeps his gaze on you for a second longer before turning.
“Well, a’course!” When Jack faces Javi again, he’s beaming that charming, megawatt smile, no trace of annoyance or guile to be found.
You slip Javi a sympathetic, knowing expression as you leave them the room. Javi nods, but his mind is elsewhere- churning over everything he thought he knew about Jack Daniels.
Over the next few hours, Javi’s brain steadily liquefies under the relentless stream of information from Jack. Barns for cows, sheep, horses. Feed and equipment storage for each. From somewhere comes the barking of dogs, but Jack tells him not to worry about them, glancing around with theatrical wariness that Javi is too tired to take the cue to ask about. Two large buildings at the end of the road ahead of them, one housing the admittant dorms and the other, recreational spaces and therapists’ offices.
“We get folks with lotsa different stories. Some ain’t never set foot on a ranch before, and never do again- they get the peace of mind of physical labor and whatever other help they need, and then they go back to their real life. And if it works for them, it works for me. Some of the folks who are in this line of work want to stay, and sometimes I let ‘em. But all birds gotta leave the nest. I got a bit of a system set up with the neighbors to hire folks, get their friends to hire ‘em after. Help them get their bearings in the real world again, build up their trust in themselves.”
It’s clear what Jack is doing. By sharing such information about other admittants, he’s assuring Javier that’s he’s normal- that whatever his story or his reasons, he’ll be welcome here.
Jack’s increased silence is obvious, his questions gentle but probing, and Javi knows this is when he tells his story.
“I’ve been working on my dad’s ranch since leaving the service. I like being there for him, and I don’t mind the work- it keeps me busy. It was a relief to be home, for awhile. But..."
But then he saw them. The drug traffickers he’d worked so hard to put away, barely bothering to hide their illicit work. They weren’t the same people, of course. But that only worsened the blow. Only dug the wound that much deeper- the thought that whatever good he did, someone would always be out there undoing it, unless he kept going, always searching, fighting, sacrificing…
“But you’re not the same man,” Jack finishes quietly.
Javi clears his throat. “Something like that.”
He didn’t realize how honest his story was until he’d told it. Javier feels uncomfortably raw, visible. His hands betray his emotions, fidgeting, fingers and thumbs twitching and pressing at themselves in a grounding technique a therapist had once taught him.
The two men have stopped halfway down the packed gravel road. There’s nothing but open fields around them, the bald sky overhead. It doesn’t help his feeling of vulnerability, but Javi forces himself to meet Jack’s gaze from the corner of his eye.
There’s no pity in Jack’s face- only firm understanding. “Well, now. Let’s see if we can’t do something about that.”
Jack sticks out his hand. “Consider this your formal welcome to Jack’s Ranch and Wellness Center.”
His hand hovers, unwavering.
This is it. Slower than earlier, Javi reaches out and takes it.
It’s less a shake than it is a clasp. An accord of wills; a squeeze in recognition of mutual understanding. A gesture as old as humanity.
Javier pushes aside unexpected, unwelcome guilt.
Jack’s smile expands until it’s the same pleased shape it’s been in all day. “Let’s go get you a room!”
The sun follows them like a watchful eye. It’s far from the hottest that summer will get, but sweat has long since trickled through to the spine of Javi’s shirt; he’s praying that his room will be their last stop today.
A figure glimmers into being at the end of the road. It’s you again, coming from the recreational building. Javi recognizes your gait- and the way Jack straightens up, vibrating like a puppy trying with all its might to restrain his excitement.
He waits until you’re in normal hearing range, at least. “Howdy again, Silver,” Jack calls. “Everything all right?”
“Hi again, Jack.” You smile and give Javi a nod as well. “Yeah, everything’s fine. Thursday is my usual appointment now, since switching therapists.”
Jack smacks his palm exaggeratedly against his forehead, skewing the angle of his hat. “That’s right, I remember you tellin’ me. You’ll have to excuse this head of mine, honey, it’s been nuttier than a squirrel’s nest up here since havin’ to deal with-”
The same ringtone from earlier peals from Jack’s chest pocket.
Jack sighs. “Well, speak of the devil. I’ll just be a jiffy.” He flashes you and Javi an apologetic look before wandering away, and again Javi catches a glimpse of the sleek, hypothetical technology before it reaches Jack’s ear.
You’re looking after Jack with an exasperated sort of fondness. Javier thinks quickly. This could backfire on him, make you defensive of Jack and unwilling to talk, but it would only be natural for Javi to continue the conversation where it left off…
“So what’s Jack been having to deal with?”
Your attention returns to Javi. “Oh, some new investors. They want to donate some crazy sum, but with the caveat of making some changes? It’s nothing he hasn’t dealt with before.”
You flap a hand dismissively. More of your energy, Javi can see, is going into assessing him- your gaze flickering over him as you speak, a subtle sort of curiosity prodding at his shirt collar, his decidedly-not-cowboy boots, the hair curling over his forehead.
One corner of Javier’s mouth curves up the slightest bit, holding your gaze when it finds his eyes again. Letting you know he saw you checking him out-
“Does this place have a lot of investors?” Javi allows his own attention to drift down while you answer, drawn again to your hips by the id badge, to your strong arms.
-but that he didn’t mind in the slightest.
“There’s one consistent investor; any others are pretty sporadic. But we do well enough that that’s all we need.”
Your chest puffs slightly, a hint of pride entering your eyes, still locked with his.
Javier nods slowly in respectful acknowledgement, his smile growing a fraction.
“Good to know.”
But Javi’s stupid brain was like a dog with a bone, fixated on the way Jack’s damn phone glittered in the sun. He glances back over at him.
“They buy him that fancy phone as a bribe?” Javi injects some humor into his tone, summoning the half-smile he uses to suggest the idea of flirting.
It doesn’t work as he hoped. You glance at him sharply, any trace of flirtation flattened like the gravel into the packed earth beneath their feet.
“What do you mean?”
Shit. “Nothing, just that I’ve never seen a phone like that before. It’s not exactly the latest iPhone, is it?”
It wasn’t even the latest smart-flip-phone, or whatever the fuck they were calling them. Javi could swear it had changed, shifted its shape somehow, but with Jack’s hand engulfing it the way it had, he couldn’t be sure. Jack stood with his back to them- angled so that his right ear was entirely out of their view. Was it deliberate?
Fresh sweat prickles on Javi’s forehead, unrelated to the heat.
Your friendliness has cooled like a cloud passing in front of the sun. “Jack likes to be up on new tech. For himself and the ranch.”
Before Javi can respond, Jack returns.
“Sorry about that, all. Now, where was I? Oh, yes. Silver! Allow me to formally introduce you to Javier Peña, our newest admittant.”
Javi can see the moment Jack’s announcement lands. Your lips part; you blink rapidly several times. Is that..betrayal that you quickly shove down beneath a welcoming smile?
“Oh, that’s great! It’s so great here. You’re going to love it.”
There’s something strange about your expression now. Distance. A wall between you and Javier that you hadn’t put up before.
Ah. When you’d met earlier, in the employee space…you’d thought he was a ranch hand, a staff member like you. But now…
There go any of his ideas about admittants and ranch hands having relations.
Javier remains still as you bid them goodbye, continuing on your way back to the barns. From the corner of his eye, he watches you with something like regret.

Adam Park OC Children
Adam’s a great guy and a total fucking sweetheart and the comics have and do him a disservice. I can’t fix that, but I can soothe my inner annoyance and give him a load of kiddos and loving relationships in all the alternate realities I can think of. And talk about the child he does canonically have in Coinless. Nameless Coinless boy also gets an au version. he deserves it, and his dad too.
Canon Children:
Unknown Mother;
Apparently a boy of unknown name, personality, or age. Child aged, maybe? So…probably anywhere from newborn to early preteens because the kid would probablyotherwise have been a sentry? I don’t know, I just… think they could have done a lot more with this mystery kiddo? child being assumed dead and then avenging Adam dying would have been a very cool plot twist! but no! he's so light on character he's not a character! He's a mention in a backstory to make Adam tragic! Who's his mom, who is he, how old was he, what illness did he die of, did he die of an illness, I-c'mon. there's light on character and then there's this. May the child come back in a reboot or just in general. And be a badass. I wish this for all of them, by the way.
My OC and Alternate Reality Kids for Adam:
Eugene Skullovitch;
Eugene doesn't believe in himself, but Adam does, did, and always has. They started dating after Adam encouraged him to play the piano in the talent show. Adam loves his music, and they're both encouraging of each other. Aisha is a surrogate for their son, Lukas. Given how close she was to Adam, it was only natural in her mind to offer. She loves him, loves he's found happiness, and when they decided they wanted kids she wanted to help that happiness grow. Lukas Park's 17, plays piano, and volunteers at the animal shelter. Adam's a doctor and while Lukas respects and likes this, he'd rather be a veterinarian. Or, like Skull, a professional classical pianist. They support Lukas with whatever he wants to do or be, and he loves the fact he's not being pressured. Skull once sat him down with a list of every job he's ever done (the list was actually more like an entire manila folder bursting out the sides, it was frankly impressive), a ranking system and how much each profession made. Everything from a cop to a detective to an undercover agent for the government to a waiter at a bar to a judge at a pet show to rockstar to pianist-it was comprehensive and a little overwhelming, but at the end of each profession Skull said if it was what he wanted, he'd be proud. At the end it left Lukas fairly calm and certain no matter what choice he made, it'd be the right choice for him, and his dads would support him in this. not associated with a color
Tommy Oliver;
They’d been friends since a bit before the transfer, and Tommy was Adam’s leader for years on three or four different ranger teams. There’s a level of trust there you don’t usually get, and they were both black and green rangers in their lives. After Tommy became Dino Thunder Black, and shortly after a divorce between him and Kat, Adam and Tommy started spending more time together. The getting together thing was an accident. Both of them at a Christmas party and then things going from one thing to the next, and Tommy says he’s never felt so at home waking up in someone’s arms.
They have one son together, Isaiah Park. Tommy cashed in on a favor owed by Grace, and soon enough JJ Oliver was trying to figure out where his baby half brother had come from. His opinion was Adam, because he was shorter. It wasn’t until several years later they were able to explain it in a way JJ would understand and accept. But they never let him live the cute story down, to his embarrassment. Given Tommy’s immunity to time fluctuations and manipulations by the Machine Empire, they found out they were living in the same town as Time Force. Tommy was able to complete a doctorate in, to Adam’s perception, a day. Tommy is a lead paleontologist due to this, and Adam works at the museum. However given Tommy being Tommy, there is currently a divorce. Tommy wears his trauma on his sleeve and Adam has given up trying to fix him.
Isaiah Park is sixteen. He’s quiet, thoughtful, and tends to think with his emotions rather than his mind. Lucky, charming, and a natural heartthrob to his school, though he doesn’t seem to notice. Loves music, especially classical, and reading. He hasn’t really thought about being a power ranger, though he wouldn’t say no if he was asked. He was babysat by the Dino Thunder team as a kid, and kidnapped by Mesogog once. All hell broke loose when this happened, and Isaiah’s unsure if he wants to be a ranger when this sort of danger could happen to any of his loved ones. Tommy and Adam are currently in the process of divorce, and Isaiah’s getting used to that idea as well, but it’s nice having JJ to talk to about it.
He has enough to deal with with his dads. They love telling the story of when he was three, they’d go “see you later alligator” and “after awhile Crocodile” and he’d respond, loudly and enthusiastically; “bye bye, froggie!” To this day he’s been unable to get them to stop telling this story to his friends, love interests, and any adult who’d listen. JJ feels the pain. Isaiah is not associated with any color. This is probably a good thing. However if he was, it’d be black.
Aisha Campbell;
It was just natural for them to get together. They’ve been friends together since forever, they’ve always been friends and it progressing to a little bit more made sense. They got married a little after joining SPD together. They have four kids together. Wendell, aged 26, Rocky, aged 26, Koniqua, aged 19, and Jacqueline “Jaq” Park, aged 17.
No way they weren’t going to name one of their kids after their closest friend aside from each other. Rocky was best man at their wedding even. When they found out they were having twins they simply used the middle name they were intending for a boy for Wendell. Rocky’s the older by eight hours, Wendell was a more difficult pregnancy and took his time, which actually was a foreshadowing to the twins’ personalities.
Rocky Park is rambunctious and a goofball. He loves making people laugh. Like his mom he’s empathetic and strong willed. Like his dad he’s prone to flashes of intense introspection, but never for long. Surprises people with his love of classical music. He’s enthusiastic to the point of being intense. Can be hard for him to dial it back. He’s a yellow ranger for his team.
Wendell is everything Rocky is not, and is a little bit of a little shit. He's often not noticed by other people, and tends to use that to his advantage. He knows his brother is a yellow ranger, and while he's not a ranger, he takes the opportunity to tackle or ram cars or steal from the monsters of the week. he's not noticed and it gives other rangers openings usually. He's given Rocky everything he's stolen, and is pleased when they're incorporated into the team's arsenal.
Koniqua is a lover of poetry, fables, and the history of the power rangers. She's determined to be one of the scientists who creates a new team, or unlocks the mysteries of the grid for general use. Pragmatic, quick thinking, happy to help her dumb brothers. They don't think she knows. She knew who'd saved her as soon as Rocky said "you're safe now civilian" and tried to act dumb. She barely resisted the urge to call him out. Doesn't bother fighting the monsters, her brothers got that covered, but she does help get other civilians to safety when needed. not associated with a color. She's going into historical costuming, with the intention of working for tv productions.
Jaq would love to know why earth is so valuable to bad guys that they keep trying to take it over. Genre savvy type, and doesn't take shit. Has psyched out two villains and one of the comedy duo by just asking over and over "okay but why". Not popular, has two best friends and they're all kind of outsiders. Prefers it this way. You will not find Jaq anywhere near the monsters when they appear, she's gone and dragging her friends off with her. not associated with a color, but has made the big bad main villain question themself and then cry. her brother was torn between disappointed, impressed, and terrified of his little sister. Jaq's considering maybe being a therapist specializing in rangers and their villains would be a lucrative career move.
Rocky DeSantos;
They make too much sense for anything else, they were best friends since the beginning. They adopted a kid who lost their home in a fire brought on by a monster. Peter's eleven and scared of the world. Adam and Rocky fully understand, but hope he can open up. They care for him and are worried about him. Peter DeSantos doesn't know how to feel about power rangers as parents after what happened, but he's glad Adam and Rocky are stable and they do try. It's just hard to open up. They have time, though, and that's what matters. Adam's been helping with his anxiety by showing him how to sew. Whenever he gets scared and his dads aren't there, he sews little projects. It helps and he's proud of what he makes.
tangential au; Rocky and Aisha and Adam are together with all above mentioned kids, and Aisha and Rocky's two kids. They live on a large ranch and the kids are thriving.
Scorpina; fascinatingly there is an episode where the Stone Canyon Trio deal with her in a human form as an exchange student named Sabrina. Adam was way into her. Coinless version Adam's finding Scorpina hot in general and she's flirting. A weird pairing but hey, there's a good history of evidence for mutual attraction! Of the trio Scorpina was always more flirtatious to Adam than Rocky or Aisha (this also makes him similar to comic!Skull in that a love interest is a long lived alien pretending to be a teenager for ulterior motives. imagine bonding over that extremely specific thing happening to you, yikes).
Scorpina is not banished to the dark dimension, and like Rita and Zedd, becomes good via Z-Wave. She simply takes the form of her human persona, the now young adult exchange student Sabrina. As Sabrina, she decides to see if she can patch anything up with Adam. Adam for his part needs to think about it. It's not that he doesn't trust she's redeemed, it's just so much has happened can he forgive her and accept the version of her genuinely trying to make things right? It takes a year and a half, and in the meantime they do see other people. But, eventually, they get together. They have a kid who's half alien, as Sabrina's species wasn't changed, she is more interested in looking human to help distance herself from her misdeeds, and blend in. For a time, at least, she eventually goes back to her true form when their daughter Luna Park is thirteen and develops her stinger. This is mostly to teach their daughter how to correctly use said stinger and other abilities without hurting herself or loved ones.
Luna Park is nineteen, very fashionable, calculating, and very good at getting her way. She generally doesn't do this maliciously, and works at a youth center, as the fundraiser manager among other things. She's extremely good at getting people to invest their money in good causes and very good at public events. She's a shapeshifter, but not as accomplished as her mom. While she looks like she'd be snotty or full of herself, she takes a lot after Adam and is very considerate and very polite and encouraging. However this doesn't mean she's a pushover, and she's sent more than one person who thought they could rough her or get handsy to the hospital. Rarely uses her stinger, Luna is an accomplished fencer and hand to hand combatant, though prefers kickboxing to martial arts. Think Daphne Blake with a stinger. Luna is not associated with a color
in a tangential au, she's a power ranger mentor and the green ranger for the team, when necessary.
tangential coinless au; Scorpina keeps protecting Adam, affectionately nicknaming him 'my little froggie' (to his concern), and doesn't let him die. However this annoys him because it sometimes mean she doesn't even let him fight. Eventually they produce Luna, and she's raised in the palace, often passed around by the sentries and Kim. Adam's not allowed by Scorpina to partake in anything potentially life threatening while Luna's young, and he gets placed as stay at home dad/personal body guard to own child duty. Eventually, Luna becomes a commander of black sentries, and works fairly well with the coinless. for the most part. Not much is different personality wise except she's more willing to commit murder and injury. Skull adores her too, and helps with the training when she's a kid.
Carlos Vallerte;
Several years after Adam transfers Carlos his Color, and after they team up, and a year after Adam joins SPA, he and Carlos reconnect. They got along well each time they teamed up, and after everything they get the chance to actually be able to get to know each other again properly outside of power ranger stuff. While both are busy with respective lives and careers, they do have joint custody over two kids, Miguel and Gwena. Aisha surrogated for Miguel, Gwena is an adopted alien girl from Inquiris. It's been a challenge to balance their careers with their kids, but they make it work. Generally, they don't live on earth, they currently live on K0-35 when not on duty with their kids.
Miguel is 13, and quite interested in nature, and earth. He's never actually been, because life kept getting in the way, but he wants to eventually. He's been promised he will, and that's nice. He likes ninjas and puzzle books and horror movies. Especially likes vampires, Carlos is just. Accepting this is going to haunt him for the rest of his life. Told Miguel if he wants to become a vampire that's fine but he needs to wait, and find someone who's not on the galaxy's most wanted list. Or working with a warlord or conqueror. the list of suitables is extremely small. Miguel's also thirteen, and he's realizing maybe he just likes the species in general more than the idea of becoming one. Loves vampire and zombie movies best. Not associated with a color.
Gwena is seven and from Inquiris. Any question given to her is answered with a question. Given how much human children do this in general...you can imagine the annoyance. Carlos and Adam quickly learned to phrase the questions as open ended statements for Gwena to respond to with statements of her own. She's very smart for a seven year old, and wants to know all the answers to all the questions, but is happy to question everything for the sake of asking the question. One day wants to go to earth, but also wants to go back to Inquiris again. She's also heard a lot about two infamous women from Inqiuris; Dimitria and Divatox, twins and very proficient in their own rights. At the moment, she flips between pretending to be Dimitria the good mentor, and Divatox, the pirate. She's seven so neither Adam nor Carlos are worried, but they do hope she'll decide Dimitria, who's a friend of theirs, will be a worthy role model, and not Divatox before the Z-Wave. not associated with a color, that anyone knows of. However Inquirians tend to gravitate to white or red color schemes in their clothing so it's hard for her dads to actually tell. Likes fables and magic and playing pirates. Vicseron, a friend of Dimitria from Inquiris, is Gwena's biological father, but was killed. Her mother also died, and Gwena had nobody. Dimitria had reservations about how well she and Divatox could look after a child. She brought the child to the most dependable ranger couples she could think of.
Prince Trey of Triforia;
While Trey crashed in Aquitar and needed help, when they sent him to earth to the other zeo rangers he helped them first, several times. Adam was, like the rest of them, very curious who the mysterious gold was. When they met properly, he had a little bit of a crush. When Jason took gold so Trey could slow down whatever was happening to him (his logos, pathos and ethos had split into three people, thoufh all of them were of the same mind. Triforian thing, apparently. It took a bit to get used to, to say the least.) Adam spent as much time as he could in the command center with Billy and Trey. They talked quite a bit, and Trey got a bit smitten with the curious green ranger.
When Trey was restored and he got zeo gold back, he decided to stick around for a little while to assist the other zeo rangers, and he and Adam began seeing each other. Adam thought it was kind of odd a prince wanted to date him, but he wasn’t against it at all.
They have one daughter. Crown Princess Tara, aged 20. Adam’s a diplomat between earth and Triforia, and Tara lives mainly on Triforia with Trey. She inherited Zeo Gold, and is noble, calm, and carry’s herself regally as she can. She does have her moments though, and feels like she can’t live up to her parents legacy, sometimes. She does try, though. She never stops trying. She’s going to be the best queen. It’s hard for her to believe it, but she’s going to be. Trey’s a great king, and he’s her dad. And Adam’s awesome, and he’s her dad too. And her teammates are awesome too.
Tangential au; Triforian life span might be longer than humans (I’ve got no idea, heellpp) and she’s the gold to the canon grandson of Tommy’s team. She’d be in the equivalent of early 20’s, in the hypothetical longer lifespan idea.
(we needed a green/gold lol. and this works, they did talk a little in canon. not much but I'm taking the opportunity)
Dulcinea;
She thought he was charming and sweet, and every bit a prince if he just had the self confidence to see it, himself. She made a child using magic, some years after the events of the movie. It killed her, but the child is hers and Adam's. He was confused and deeply saddened when he got the kid and the explanation. He loves Garrett, but it's a bit difficult. Garrett is an owl shifter, like his mother. He greatly resembles Adam. Garrett is 16, and doing his best. He's friends with the punks at his school, and has the constant air of wiser beyond his years. Often lives with Rocky or Tommy and Kat or any other dozen of Adam's friends while Adam's working off earth. He's got an odd, very inhuman air around him, even to other half human alien hybrids. There's something about his owl self that bleeds into his human form. He's never felt at home anywhere he's ever been, and he feels like he should go back to the planet his mother's from, guard what's there. He's a bronze ranger, and Adam wonders if this is from Dulcinea.
Unnamed Mother;
Adam made a mistake in highschool and while the girl wanted to keep the baby, her parents didn't think it'd be a good idea. Adam offered to take the baby off her hands, and while his parents disinherited him over it, Nemo grew up with a village for parents. Skull, Bulk, Aisha, Rocky, and Tommy and a few others off and on, all helped him during high school, with Aisha and Rocky stepping in during college, and Skull after, helping with whatever expense Adam needed. Nemo's fourteen, healthy, happy, and thriving despite everything. Adam's doing okay as a single parent, it's been hard but he's doing good. Adam's a tailor and Nemo mentioned wanting to go into this as well, and Adam about teared up he was so proud.
Coinless verse child has been given a happy alternative woo~

if I missed any, let me know! I think I covered most of Adam's possibilities ^-^

luce!!!! i just wanted to say i love accidentally undercover SO MUCH!! all of your art and writing is just so good!!!! robin and their silly little guys (competent secret agents) my beloveds 💚 i do have a question though, if it's not too much trouble!
i've read through the master post, but is there a single place/post that breaks down what each AU of accidentally undercover is about/switches around? like a brief description of what the changes from the canon accidentally undercover story are sort of thing! i love all the aus too, but sometimes my brain crosses wires and i confuse them ;;; but regardless i love robin and your versions of the boys!!! (and also your art for cryptid sightings waaah you make those big ole demon boys so soft and tender with their hunter and it kills me!!! T^T )
I'm back from work and can finally reply!! I'm so happy to hear you've been enjoying AU and my CS art!! It's been a lot of fun to explore both, and with CS I got the excuse that I don't know canon, but yeah I get that all the AU variations can be a bit confusing!
I think I had one ask before asking for the difference between Canon and Reverse, but it's been a while and there's a lot more variations now, so under the cut I'll break them all down and link to the introductory posts!
AU variations I write for and thus may appear in the AO3 main story:
Canon/ Main Accidentally Undercover: Senior Agent Robin, Rival Dusk, both with a nightly break-in/ evidence collection focus, Neighbor Sun. Robin and Dusk have a somewhat tense, but with time more and more playful rivalry based on mutual trust, while Sun and Y/N are friends, if not especially close (though they would like to be).
Reverse AU (sometimes "canon" Reverse AU, to differentiate from the newer Hatchling AU): Senior Agent Robin, Rival Dawn, both with an undercover focus, Neighbor Moon. The rivalry between Dawn and Robin is tenser than canon due to the "ankle grabbing" incident, though they still trust each other (on a more professional level - both quietly wishing for more). Moon as a neighbor is more subdued, but not immune to Y/N's charms, and they become friends too, also wishing for more.
Hatchling AU Canon adjacent: Rookie agent Robin, Rival Dusk, Neighbor Sun. Robin is a lot more playful and open, if just as competitive, while Dusk and Sun are more distant/ aloof. Big fight between the rivals forcing Dusk to realize that he wants the rivalry, and he apologizes to Robin. Sun thinks he's a martyr and can't get close to Y/N, who is still lonely and still a "bad" landlord and thus tries to befriend their tenant. The neighbors need the reveal to grow closer here, teetering the edge between acquaintance and friend. Reverse adjacent: Rookie agent Robin, Rival Dawn, Neighbor Moon. Similar dynamic shift, with Dawn being rougher around the edges than even in canon Reverse AU. "Everything is the ankle-grabbing" with things coming to a peak with their fight, after which the peacock learns to apologize too. Moon, being more of an introvert anyhow, keeps a distance from Y/N until he catches them crying one day (unbeknownst to him, because of Dawn), and they become friendlier then, if not close friends. Same martyrdom as Sun in canon adjacent. The big fights are detailed here
AU Dynamic Swap Canon adjacent: Robin welcomes another judged for their methods rookie rather than go on the defensive, and becomes fast friends with Dusk thanks to their shared interest in being a menace. When Sun moves in, they don't try as hard to befriend him, and a few misunderstandings push the neighbors in the opposite direction of passive aggression and the energy of a hostile HOA consisting of two members. Reverse adjacent: Robin welcomes Dawn in their own way, and the suave bastard finally gets to shine. They make everyone else either cringe or wonder if they're actually a couple with their constant "just kidding haha unless" flirting. Moon is jealous, and lonely, and ends up snapping from that unfamiliar pressure - just unfortunately at the nice landlord, who promptly stops being nice. Misunderstandings here, too, though Moon already shows signs of wanting to fix things pre-reveal.
One off AU variations that may or may not come back, but to be safe I'm telling you not to get your hopes up:
Double Rejection Hatchling: No neighbors, and rookie Robin gets first shut down by Dawn, then Dusk, and switches departments to the labs (where they work with Horizon's designs, if not him personally). Dusk and Dawn think their rival quit, until the encounter in the labs - after which they try hard to apologize and make it up to them, including getting them their job as field agent back. Only after that do they grow close enough to stage a reveal and move in together
Lab Techs Dusk and Dawn, Field Agent Robin: Technically further separated into canon and reverse adjacent, but never elaborated on. Lab tech Dusk or Dawn quicker to flirt and more open, with senior agent Robin very awkward around the nice newbies they don't see as competition. Neighbor dynamic does not significantly change compared to the other senior agent Robin timelines.
Command Center/ Field Agent matchups Command center Robin and Field agent Dusk and Dawn: Y/N knows both neighbors, who cover up gadget noise with the DIY explanation. Robin was too reckless and got delegated to Command Center work until they could be trusted - and they feel bitter about it, taking it out through passive aggressive communication with Dusk and Dawn. The voices get scrambled and thus no one recognizes the other, with their work relationship rather tense but the neighbors being friendly as can be with the secrecy of their work! Field agent Robin and Command center Dusk and Dawn: Robin works undercover and for evidence collection, while Dusk and Dawn are delegated to CC work until the agency trusts them enough for the field due to their unorthodox application (through Eclipse). Robin doesn't feel threatened but is too awkward to analyze why these CC guys are so nice to them. Sun and Moon have a podcast to cover up any noise for the rare cases they work from home, and invite Eclipse to join sometimes. Y/N knows them both (all, perhaps), and listens to the podcast to fall asleep.
All senior agents: No neighbors at all. Robin gets paired up with the difficult star agents from another location, and has to adapt to suddenly working with a partner. They are all snarky and territorial and kind of pissed about the situation, but once they realize they all like to have fun with the job and don't hate each other, they get friendlier to the point that when the boys do move and accidentally trigger a reveal, they are all happy with that development too.
Speedrun AU/ all rookie agents: No two locations in this one, Eclipse, Sun and Moon still live together and in the same town as Y/N. Dusk and Dawn start their training, only to be joined rather soon by the even greener not-yet-Robin, who befriends both before even settling on a codename. Eclipse and Y/N meet and become friends, with Eclipse figuring out that his friend and the newbie his brothers keep raving about are the same person, and leads the charge for that particular reveal. Dawn and Dusk don't get transferred upon completing their training due to already being a team with Robin, so HQ pushes them to at least move - and Sun and Moon promptly move in with Y/N.
These are all major variations that change the dynamics between the characters, so I haven't counted alt reveals - there are. so many. But those are (mostly) for Main AU, and thus those dynamics apply!
I'll also probably edit this post whenever I add a new timeline, just to keep things cohesive (or as close as anything AU is cohesive lmao)

Okay but hear me out.
A Big Time Movie/GX au
Obviously we're taking some creative liberties here
In the band we have:
Atticus - Leader/pretty boy heartthrob, our main character. Having the time of his life on tour until they get sucked into a spy caper! It's kinda fun though lol. Totally in once they learn that the entire world is in jeopardy! If they can't save the world they can't continue the tour!
Jaden - cute lovable moron, the first to realize there's some weird stuff going on, but he just kinda brushes it off at first. It's fiiiiiiiiine! .....or is it 👀 literally so into the idea of being a spy dude.
Bastion - the smart one/token British member, very against the idea of going along with the spy stuff when it goes down. It's not safe and they have their tour and other responsibilities to worry about! Besides, they're not spies! They should leave this to the professionals! Cue Logan getting shot with darts and literally dragged along 3 times
Aster - bad boy with a heart of gold, actually knew Sartorius when they were kids, but he disappeared one day and he never heard from him again. Honestly upset to learn he's now an evil cult leader bent on world domination and probably doesn't even remember who he is anymore... but saving the world would mean saving Sartorius right...? Only one way to find out.
And our other main cast:
Sartorius - Sir Atticus Moon Our villain, leader of the Society of Light ofc, trying to take over the world via his evil satellite a la both the actual movie and season 2 lolol
Adrian - Hammer guy Sartorius's head goon, former spy gone rogue and now working with Sartorius to take over the world! But maybe he has his own ulterior motives.... 👀
Chazz - Katie Atty's bf who's along for the ride on the tour, the "princess" of this spy movie, gets kidnapped by the Society both to force the guys to back off and his high societal standing makes him a valuable hostage, potentially a bargaining chip.
Alexis - Mrs. Knight Was invited to come with them on the tour also by Atty, honestly she's just here to keep a low profile and have a good fun time as far as she's concerned. She and Chazz are just hanging out while the guys are getting dragged into their spy caper. Everyone just kinda starts disappearing around her and she's losing her mind aksks
Jesse - Penny Lane Jaden's love interest. In his own spy team with Jim and Axel and formerly Adrian before he went rogue, working to stop Sartorius from taking over the world! Too bad their agency thinks the three of them have also gone rogue to pursue this case...
Crowler - Gustavo The band's manager, a real dad. Loves these kids a lot but he's tough on them, he knows they can be the greatest ever if they work hard enough for it! Is captured by the spy agency and interrogated about the whole endeavor but poor dad has no idea what's going on he hasn't seen his kids all day! What on earth have they gotten themselves into???
Ms. Fontaine - Kelly Crowler's assistant, the only one with a braincell around here. Literally this whole operation would fall apart without her.
Jim and Axel - MI6 agent Simon Lane Undercover and in hiding from their spy agency since they've been designated rogue even though they're not, trying to stop Sartorius from taking over the world but also trying to figure out whatever ulterior plan Adrian has of his own and stop him, got separated from Jesse so they gotta find him and regroup! Very confused by the boy band getting caught up in their mission akskskks also Shirley is here and she is best girl.
Sheppard - Leader of the spy agency, just a silly guy lol
@chazz-is-a-zelda-fan can I interest you in a crackhead stormshipping au on this fine Saturday?

REVIEW
Rock Point Collection by Freya Barker
Four Book Collection
This is an author that once read would become a go-to and must-read author for me. When I saw this collection of four books, three of which I had not yet read, available, I snapped it up. Freya Barker has a unique ability to create a world that is populated by complex characters I’d like to have as friends and provides stories that have me rooting for the main characters to come out with one another in their lives forever. No two books are the same and each one provides a story that I love from beginning to end. So…here’s my take on the four books that introduce and FBI team that will  provide over 1000 pages of enjoyment in one volume as each of them find their HEA with their perfect partner.
KEEPING 6: The introduction to the Rock Point Series sees Damian and Kerry meeting briefly in a case that Damian is involved in. Awhile later they meet again as Damian tackles another case involving stolen first edition high-value books and perhaps this time the time is right for a HEA.
CABIN 12: Next up is FBI Agent Jasper’s turn to find his HEA with Damian’s sister Bella. This time the FBI case deals with police corruption and medical professionals working together in criminal activities that include murder. It also deals with a character dealing with depression swept under the rug but dealt with through the story.
HWY 555: This is the one I had read before. Loved Luna going undercover with the MC, falling for Ouray, and the way her issues from the past were dealt with by the gentle hand of a dominant alpha. Makes me smile thinking about this story now twice read.
10-CODE: Marya and Jasper showed up in previous books in this series and both are worthy of one another. This time the criminal activity has to do with pedophilia and the story is a bit dark. Both characters have much in common and are perfect for one another.  I loved reading this boxed set and will no doubt read it again. I loved the characters and also the way the stories were told about them and the situations they were able to come out of on the other side of whole, healthy, and in the arms of their perfect mate.
Thank you to the Author for the ARC – This is my honest review.
5 Stars
BLURB
The Rock Point series chronicles the stories of each of the agents of the La Plata County FBI office. These books will take you on a wild ride of romance, danger, passion, and betrayal. Durango, Colorado has never been more adventurous and exciting.
Keeping 6 When Special Agent Damian Gomez walks into the small Books and Brew store looking for coffee, he doesn’t expect to find Kerry Emerson manning the espresso machine. She seems equally surprised but that quickly turns to anger when the annoyingly handsome FBI agent seems to have her confused for a criminal.
Cabin 12 EMT Bella Greene thinks Special Agent Jasper Greene is a narcissistic hotshot, and he, in turn, believes her to be a high maintenance snob. But the moment the first cop is gunned down, they’re forced to work side by side and amid corruption and murder, they quickly discover how misleading first impressions can be.

When Faith Hunter agrees to help PI Bob Roget find an identity thief at a local scrapbook retreat, her friendly croppers’ weekend quickly morphs into a dangerous one. As croppers share their own memories, a killer collects them for her new identity and doesn’t appreciate Faith in the picture. Faith struggles to balance her professional, detecting, and personal lives as threats and secrets keep her off-balance. Things turn deadly when a woman is killed and Faith is blackmailed. Truth and lies collide when Faith discovers croppers aren’t the only ones embellishing, and the results might end her life. Dollycas's Thoughts What could go wrong at a friendly scrapbooker's weekend? Well, Private Investigator Bob Roget is trying to catch an identity thief, and Faith agrees to help him. But before they can even check in to the hotel a woman is hit by a car in the parking lot and killed. Good thing Faith brought Steve along to help with the Scrap This Store because he was just in time to pull her out of the way of the speeding car, but sustained a serious injury of his own. That incident and an abandoned car kick off a whole bunch of crazy events. Events that may have Faith revealing a secret she has been keeping from almost everyone. Events that may cost Faith her life. Faith Hunter is a strong protagonist with a secret. In Embellished to Death we start to get some details about her life prior to returning to Eden and her grandmothers. Her relationship with Steve is moving along but hits some bumps. He drove the truck and trailer filled with product for the Scrap This booth at the retreat and will be staying to help Faith in any way he can. Faith's grandmothers don't make the trip but Darlene and Gussie are attending the event and will be able to step in to help when needed, and oh boy, are they needed. With Faith helping Bob find the identity thief, Steve being hurt, inept retreat organizers, an upset hotel manager, an "undercover FBI agent" with an ax to grind, and a murderer to catch, Faith doesn't have much time to man the store. I do enjoy the strong friendships that have been built between all the core characters. They all have huge hearts and are there for each other through thick and thin, even when bullets are flying. The mysteries were complicated. Is the identity thief a murderer or are their two criminals hanging out at the scrapbook retreat? Drama, twists, turns, surprises, and more drama with a little bit of crafting, really kept the pages flying. Faith found herself in so many scary situations. The way the strings of the subplots tangled with the main plot was done with an expert hand because the story had an excellent flow. It was very hard to put the book down when my eyes just wouldn't stay open any longer. I am mad at myself for getting behind on this fun series. I plan to rectify that in 2024 and read the final three books. Embellished to Death kept me on my toes. It was so well-written that I was completely entertained. It is a great crafty mystery for cozy readers especially those that enjoy scrapbooking. I do recommend the series be read in order to meet Faith, her grandmas, and their friends from the start.

ramblings on japanese fandom
i normally don’t post stuff like this in public, but this account has basically zero followers i feel like it’s okay, maybe. i’ll put it under a cut though so the post won’t be preserved in reblogs (should there be any).
i've been collecting bond dojinshi for a while now. in case anyone is unaware: broadly speaking "dojinshi" is the japanese word for self-published magazines and books, and narrowly speaking it's the word for fanzines, i.e. self-published magazines and books of fanfic and fan comics. this format of fan works is largely obsolete in english-speaking fandom, but dojinshi still thrive in japanese fandom even in this digital day and age.
anyway i've been collecting bond (and adjacent fandom) dojinshi for a few years now. the vast majority of bond dojinshi feature top craig bond x bottom whishaw q, which honestly holds zero interest for me (sorry), but i've browsed through hundreds upon hundreds of books and found some gen comics, a few mallory books, bottom bond books, and such.
i knew, by word of mouth, that dojinshi more focused on goldeneye existed. nothing really popped up in my searches though, and i'd figured they'd be so rare i'd never find them on the second-hand market; selling dojinshi second hand is considered somewhat of a faux pas in japanese fandom to begin with, especially so in fandoms for movies and tv shows, so i knew from the get-go that i'd never find everything published in the bond fandom.
BUT THEN i found it. the holy grail. the dojinshi ALL ABOUT 006 and featuring both beautifully drawn comics and fic by a writer i love (= the alec/craig bond fic i mentioned in an earlier post). honestly it was a stroke of luck; the book wasn't listed under goldeneye or even james bond, it wasn't in stock, it didn't have a cover on the site, and i only found it because i was looking through a listing of a specific artist's dojinshi and my spidy alec-detecting senses tingled. you see, this artist had previously published a dojinshi featuring various bean characters (like boromir and sharpe and a bit of alec) with a title taken from an oasis song... and this mysterious book ALSO had a title taken from an oasis song... so i was literally like
Tumblr media
and clicked the "notify me when this is back in stock" button on the site. i didn't expect much to come off it, because i'd have to be pretty darn lucky for a fan to sell THIS particular book from 2005 to a used online bookstore so i could get my hands on it. but then, back in august, i received a notification e-mail. and when i clicked the listing and saw the cover i absolutely LOST. IT.
Tumblr media
because um that couldn't be anyone but manga-style alec?!?!?!?! honestly half the reason i'm writing this post is to brag about my acute alec-detecting senses. are you impressed with me? i'm impressed with me. so with shaking hands i ordered it, received it, read it, and now this books sits on my shelves as probably the most priced dojinshi in my collection. (it was like 400 yen)
but that's only half the story. the real reason i decided to write this post is, a while back when i was home sick and bored, i decided to look through this dojinshi artist's professionally published manga. i knew she was a pro, and i knew she'd published mainstream bl (boys love, japanese genre of m/m fiction for a mainly female audience), and although i normally don't read bl i liked this artist's style, so why not. i went to chillchill (a bl release info and review aggregator site) and clicked through her pro works, reading the summaries and reviews... and um.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
basically the plot of this particular manga from 2016 is that a green-eyed (!) blond (!!) special agent (!!!) of an unspecified european (!!!!) spy organization (!!!!!) goes undercover in an exclusive sex club for the world's elite and has, uh, stuff done to him. like. it cannot be anything but alec trevelyan woobie fanfic of the sort you'd find on ao3 (or won’t find, because this fandom is weird like that). and i'm not saying that in a "how dare this artist file off the serial numbers and make money off fanfic!!" way, i'm honestly so pleased she published this for me to read and treasure for the ridiculously cheap price of 697 jpy (= five bucks!!!!!!) for the ebook edition?!?!
also at the end of the book she had written a note about this manga having a sequel she’d published years ago in an extra issue of gush (a bl magazine that’s on the sleazy side), so of course like the alec stalker i am i went to mandarake (japanese second-hand otaku goods seller) and tracked it down and ordered it, and i am now in possession of this ridiculous anthology of dozens of bl one-shots i’m never going to read:
Tumblr media
lol this cover is the diametrical opposite of anything i’d ever buy out of my own free will and i honestly feel a bit embarrassed having this book on my shelves. the things i do for alec, man. (the artist’s one shot in this book is interesting but all over the place plot-wise, you can really tell she has a sprawling alec trevelyan au epic in her brain that she really wants to express but would need 1000 pages to flesh out properly)
honestly this type of thing isn't that rare, if you follow bl publishing a large chunk of it will be thinly-veiled kakashi/sasuke au fanfic or whatever*, and i've heard about stuff like numbers-filed-off mcu and sherlock popping up in pro bl because those were huge fandoms in japan too, but it's WILD that a movie from 1995 with a pretty small fandom should inspire a pretty well-regarded original bl publication in 2016. the artist isn't all that prolific, but i'll cross my fingers that we might get a sequel or prequel one day.
* loveless
and in case you’re wondering if any of the other bond dojinshi i picked up were any good, this artist’s q x bond stuff is right up my ally and i want to collect it all:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(she’s also published a hannibal x craig bond book i’m eyeing although i intensely dislike both hannibal and mads mikkelsen. what can i say i will do a lot for bottom craig bond content)

Corbin was caught. On his way to rot in a cell for his crimes. He had been sentenced to life in jail without parole. You were sure that at some point when all of his crimes caught up with him, he’d be put on death row and in the end get the injection.
Packing up the stuff in the house, you were just happy that Anna was safe and back with her family and that Corbin couldn’t hurt another innocent soul again. Yes, the emotional damage could never be undone for her, but from what you understood, she had a great network to help her.
It was a bittersweet end to Nick and Amy’s story. One, you in the end quite had enjoyed living in for a change. It had given you a lot of new perspectives on yourself, on your life. Having been alone for as long as you had been. It wasn’t good for you. Your mental health had been neglected as well. You weren’t exactly sure why you’d been so hooked on hating Aaron to begin with, and after all this time, he wasn’t half as bad as you’d made him out to be. He was just, well, he was Aaron. Aaron, who had gone through so much to protect his team, even you were a part of that. As much as you wanted for him to be a selfish jerk, who only cared about himself, you couldn’t categorize him as that, not after what he had done for you.
Never in your wildest dreams would you’ve asked another to step in front of a bullet for you. To save your life like that. He was crazy for doing that, especially after the history the two of you had had with each other.
Although the Kevlar had taken the bullet, and that he was fine, the medics had still taken him to the nearest hospital. And truth be told, you were a little sad to be spending the last night alone. For so long, you’d been sleeping in the same bed as him. Having gotten used to the heat of his body as his arms had engulfed your body in his sleep. The way his beard had rubbed against your cheek when he pulled you closer at night. And even though he had been unconscious when doing it, there was still something about it, something so innocent and sweet about the way he wanted to feel your body close while he slept, as if he needed to know that you were okay, that he was okay. Not a word had been spoken of it during your stay, but you were sure that he knew. That at some point, he had caught himself cuddling you in his sleep. If not in the middle of the night, then in the mornings when he’d been the first one up and about.
Placing the last couple of files from the Corbin case into the padded briefcase in front of you, you exhaled with a sigh, this was really it, you thought. Spinning slowly around, you took in everything that was the open space living room and kitchen combination you’d been working in. It was unbelievable how fast time had flown by, how easy you’d had it in the tight-knit community. The way work had been nothing more than a big game of cat and mouse, while you enjoyed walks and book clubs with the other wives of the neighborhood, how Anna had been a part of those too. Aaron on the other hand, he’d been playing soccer with the husbands, old boys they had called it. He’d even gone gardening with some of them, helping out Corbin with a tree stump that he couldn’t get out by himself. You knew that everything you’d done was to help the case. Profiling how to best get Anna out of there, while also nailing Corbin for his crimes. You’d just needed him to slip up. That was what you’d been waiting for. And then he finally did, and now, here you were, almost leaving the Hills.
You didn’t know what to do with yourself. Everything was packed down in their boxes. The clothes, the gear, the files, everything that needed to go back to Quantico, either for the next mission or to be returned to your suppliers. The only thing left was the car, oh how you’d loved the Cadillac. It was so nice and cozy, and it just drove like a dream. Sitting on the couch, you watched the sun slowly start to set, remembering back to the first night you’d spent in this house, how you barely were able to tolerate each other, how the only bed in the house had been yours that night, while Aaron slept on the couch. And although you at the time were blinded by your rage and hatred towards him, you could now see how much of a gentleman he had been, opting to sleep on the couch, even though you’d threatened to do it at first.
With a heavy sigh, you rose from your spot on the couch, unable to find rest in the big empty house. When you were all alone, it felt like an abandoned mansion. With weighty steps, you walked up the stairs and onto the first floor. Your feet instantly took you into the bedroom. His scent still lingered in the sheets. You had yet to remove them, but then again, would anybody ever need them again. It was dark out by now, the moonlight fading in through the large sliding glass doors leading out to the balcony. The glass-paneled fences gave no privacy, as it faced towards the street, where everyone could see you if they dared look up. You’d always kept the curtains closed in the bedroom for that same reason. Placing yourself on the double chaise lounge chair, the only piece of furniture placed on the balcony, you sunk into the cushion, your gaze falling upon the dark night sky, filled to the brim with stars and their constellations, you swore to yourself that you even spotted a single planet, either that or a fading star.
“Got room for one more?” You heard a deep rumble from behind you ask. You hadn’t noticed him coming back home. Hell, you hadn’t even thought he’d ever step foot back within the Emerald Hills, that he’d probably go back to his apartment and stay the night there and then recoup with you and Cruz in the morning. You turned your head back, looking up at him. He was barely visible in the dark, the moonlight only illuminating half of his face. He kept staring at you, his dark brown eyes melting into yours as you held the eye contact with each other.
“Sure.” You mumbled, not really knowing if you were a hundred percent comfortable with the situation yet, but then again, a lot had changed in the Hills. Scooting over a few inches, you let Aaron lay down on half of the spot you’d been taking up, now sharing the lounge half and half. “I thought you weren’t coming back.”
“I couldn’t leave this mission unfinished.” For a long time, you laid in silence, both of you looking up at the stars. It was like none of you wanted to ruin the moment by saying something wrong.
“Hey, look! That’s Cassiopeia!” You said with a hint of excitement in your tone, pointing up at the five stars making up the constellation in the poorly shaped W. Aaron only looked for a brief moment before he turned his attention towards you. “Do you know the story behind it?” You suddenly blurted out, snapping your head towards him, hoping that he was just as eager about space and Greek mythology as you had been during High School.
“No, enlighten me.” He smiled. Of course, he knew. Aaron had been subjected to Spencer’s rambles about almost anything for several years at this point. And especially Greek mythology and the stars. Many of the unsubs they’d profiled had had an influence from the Gods, thinking that they had been the ones to make them kill. You turned your attention back on the constellation.
“Cassiopeia was the wife of King Cepheus and Andromeda’s mother. She made fifty sea nymphs angry at one point. They were all daughters of the Titan Nereus. The nymphs forced her to sacrifice her daughter to a sea monster, and Andromeda later got rescued by the hero Perseus.” You recalled with a smile on your lips. Your tone was calm in the stillness of the night. You were sure that you were the only two awake at this hour, not even knowing what time it had gotten. During your tale, Aaron had wrapped his arm around your body, drawing you closer to his. He had noticed the tiny goosebumps starting to form from the cool breeze flowing through the air. You barely noticed until you unconsciously placed your head against his chest, your eyes staring up at him through thick lashes, taking in each and every one of his features.
“What?” He smiled, catching your glance. You quickly diverted your gaze back to the stars, not knowing if you wanted to start the conversation here and now, but you needed to get it out. Both of you did really. You needed to know. “Why are we doing this to each other?” You asked, your eyes still not looking in his direction. It was like everything was easier when you just didn’t have to look at him. Like everything just didn’t exist right then and there.
“What do you mean?” Aaron was confused by your question. At one point you were being all sweet, maybe even to the point of being cuddly, and the next, you were asking deep questions about the two of you.
“I’m just…” You stopped, thinking it over. You twisted and turned the sentence in your head, but every time it came out weird, it felt wrong to say it like that, but you couldn’t keep him waiting anymore. Finally mustering to look back at him, your eyes locked together, searching each other for a hint of something, a glint of the answers you were looking for. “…Why do you hate me so much?” Aaron was taken aback by your question.  Never in his wildest dreams had he thought that this was what you were going to ask him. It was his turn to look away now.
“I never hated you. I envied you. For so long, all I did was just look at how happy you looked, and it made me angry, not at you, at myself. And then, well… I thought you hated me. That was why I started acting into it as well.” He explained, reminiscing about everything that could’ve been if Foyet hadn’t killed Haley, hadn’t killed Jack. Aaron had been alone, trying to deal with his grief without anyone that he felt comfortable enough to talk to. He had tried to stay in contact with Haley’s family, but it was hard. They blamed him for everything. Aaron couldn’t blame them for how they responded to their grief, after all, it had been his job who’d taken her life and there was not a day that went by where he didn’t beat himself up about it.
“For so long, I thought you hated me. That was why I started acting so…bratty” You dragged out the words, hating how the last fell from your mouth, the way that it just rolled off your tongue in disgust. “We must’ve misunderstood each other. And to think that we’re both profilers.” You giggled. Your giggle swarmed him, like a kaleidoscope of butterflies fluttering their wings in front of his face. It was like the taste of the sweetest honey on his lips or his favorite song in his ears. It was you.
“Yeah, how great we are.” He agreed, his arm still placed around your shoulder. Gently, Aaron started caressing your arm in an up and down motion, making you pull yourself closer to him. You nuzzled your head against his chest, probably rubbing a hint of his cologne on your cheek, but you didn’t mind it, you liked it actually. “You know, after Haley and Jack… I was just so angry… and then you came along, right into the hellfire that was my life. I never meant for you to get caught in the crossfire.”
“I’m sorry about your wife.” You apologized to him, feeling the slightest prickle of tears threatening to fall at the mere thought of how hard it must’ve been to lose his family like that. You would’ve lost it if your parents had been killed, and it all had been because of a criminal you’d failed to catch. It would’ve been a tragedy in your mind.
“Hey, don’t cry. What’s done is done, yeah?” He gently grabbed your chin with his free hand, tilting your head up to look at him when he noticed you starting to turn it away from your conversation. With the pad of his thumb, he wiped a single falling tear away from the apple of your cheek before he softly used it to caress your cheek. Before you knew of it, his lips had caught yours in a kiss. This time a real one. You felt the sparks fly between you, like fireworks crackling and exploding behind you in a cluster of colors. It felt nothing like the pecks you’d given each other during your mission. Those hadn’t been genuine. Aaron was a great kisser. You had felt it from the small kisses earlier and only had your theory proved by this one. The fight for dominance was non-existent when you deepened the kiss, easily slipping each of your tongues past the brigade of the other’s as you explored the caverns of one another’s mouths. Pulling away to catch a breath of air, Aaron quickly stole an innocent peck of your lips before you returned back into utter silence, but your eyes stayed locked on each other.
“I can’t believe that it’s over already.” You finally spoke after what felt like an eternity. “I’m gonna miss Nick.” You flashed him a short smile, waiting for his reaction.
“And I’ll miss Amy.” Aaron flashed a toothy grin at you, his pearly whites shining in the moonlight. “(Y/N)? I think I love you.” He blurted out, tipping his head to the side to lay it atop of yours.
“And I, you.” It was cliché, you hated how everything sounded like a movie right now, but the truth was, it felt like one. Never in your life had you thought that you’d be sitting here, well into your career with the FBI, the boss you’d previously been so revolted by, and now feeling all fluttery at. You were not supposed to love your boss, but here you were, cuddling on the chaise lounge in the middle of the night with no one to tell you otherwise.
“Do you want to go get dinner some time, maybe do this for real instead of living through our best friends Amy and Nick?” He asked. Aaron was suddenly pushing himself up into a sitting position, your body being pushed up as well.
“You mean like a date?” Aaron nodded at your question. “I’d like that.” You smiled, pushing yourself away from him in an attempt to hold your own body up, but it was to no avail. You were exhausted from the case and knowing that Cruz wanted you back in the office for a debriefing at 8 am sharp didn’t help the fact that it was past midnight. Without many protests, Aaron hoisted you into his arms, feeling you curl against his chest with a tiny yawn falling from your lips. Aaron carried you towards the bed, slowly placing you down on it. He quickly got in behind you, pulling you flush against his chest. The beard still scratched the side of your cheek as you started drifting off to sleep like you’d done so many days in a row by now. It felt like second nature.
“Goodnight Aaron.” You murmured, eyes dangerously closed to falling shot. “Night (Y/N).” He rubbed his cheek against yours as he nuzzled closer, feeling your body become lax against his as your breathing evened out and your soft snores became more apparent. Aaron fell asleep with a smile on his lips for the first time in a while.
You were exhausted when you woke up, the lack of sleep, the realization of not having to be on high alert at all times, it all made you feel the need to go back to sleep again. When you regained more of your senses, you noticed that you’d flipped over in the middle of the night, your body was pressed against Aaron’s chest, whilst his hands held you in place by the small of your back. You could feel the soothing circles he was tracing, realizing that he was awake too.
“How long have you been up?” You questioned, trying to wiggle your head up from its spot trapped against his sternum. He pulled one of his hands from your back, gently smoothing your hair down as you caught each other’s eyes, staring into his chestnut brown globes. The light of the morning sun barely lit the room up, at least not enough to make them shine like they usually did. You pulled your hand up to cup his cheek, tenderly letting your thumb move over the bumpy texture of his scruff. You loved how the roughness felt against the pad. Had you been in another mood, you’d definitely found it hot, maybe even have jumped him right then and there, but there was a time and place for that, and frankly, you didn’t have the time for it.
“About an hour, I think. I didn’t look at the time. I Couldn’t bear to wake you up… you looked so….” He trailed off, breaking your gaze for a split second before he let it wander back to yours again. “Peaceful.” He smiled, his fingers never stopped caressing you. Aaron leaned down to plant a kiss on your lips, which you happily received, pushing back against his to return the gesture.
“We have to get up, don’t we?” You sighed, not wanting to leave the warm embrace of his arms. It felt nice for a change, you felt cared for, loved even. And sure, you’d had them wrapped around you every night since you started the mission, but tonight had been different. Tonight, you hadn’t been at each other’s throats. You hadn’t slept in the same bed together out of pure force. Tonight, you’d done it for yourselves.
“Cruz is waiting, remember?” Aaron slowly started to unwrap himself from around your frame, rubbing his face with a low groan. You liked that sound, it was hot, you thought.
“Yeah, you’re right.” You mumbled, rolling in the other direction. You started slipping your feet into your waiting slippers when you felt Aaron’s eyes locked on you in a stare. Upon turning your head around to face him, he didn’t move, not even an inch. “What?”
“Say that again. You’ve never…. Before…” He was barely able to contain himself. Never in his time of knowing you had he heard you tell him that he was right. He rarely needed to hear those words, knowing that he was the far more experienced profiler, but there was something about the way that those words left your mouth that made him want to float behind you, his eyes shaped like hearts, like the cartoons Jack had watched before he was taken away from him.
“You’re…. right?” You questioned, not really understanding why he wanted to hear you say it again, but then, on the other hand, you knew how little recognition Aaron got for his work, the long hours he had, the meetings, the protecting. He put his life on the line more times than any of you had done combines, and still, the praise rarely floated in his direction, everyone needed it at some point, you understood that.
“God, I love you agent.” He beamed, pulling you back by your shoulders, forcing his lips onto yours in a heated and passionate kiss. Aaron was unable to hold himself back by now, he wanted you, needed you. He positioned himself on top of you, deepening the kiss by slipping his tongue past your lips as you moaned out in pleasure. With one arm stretched out, holding your head in his large palm, he snaked his other hand down between your bodies, sneaking it past the waistband of your panties. His thumb started rubbing lazy circles on your clit, riling you up. He knew what he was doing, knew just what to do to make you stay in bed with him.
“Please Aaron.” You moaned against his lips as you pulled away from each other, catching your breaths. You bucked your hips against his fingers, trying to create more friction.
“You sure? If I start, we’ll be late.” He teased, zoning the circles in a bit. You could feel the knot slowly start to build as your senses fogged over from the pleasure.
“To hell with Cruz, I need you.” You begged, grabbing the hem of his t-shirt between your fingers and slowly trying to tug it over his head. You whined when you felt the resistance from his arms unmoving. With a trace of a chuckle at your eagerness, Aaron lifted his arms. You whimpered at the loss of contact, leaving you needy and bothered as you quickly pulled the shirt completely off.
“Don’t think it’s fair that I’m half-naked and that you’re fully clothed.” He gesticulated, roughly pulling your panties down in one motion before he moved to pull your shirt off. Once naked before him, he crashed his lips against yours, smiling against your lips in a sly smirk as he felt how wet you’d become under him. With a swipe of his fingers, he pulled the digits to your mouth, breaking the seal of your lips. “C’mon baby. I want you to taste how good I make you feel.” He whispered in your ear. The low rumble in his throat made you comply in a heartbeat. You purred against his fingers, swirling your tongue around them and lapping at your arousal glistening off of them. Aaron ground his clad cock against your naked core. You could feel the bulge as it teased you.
Aaron couldn’t wait any longer, with his free hand, he pulled his boxers down, kicking them off the edge of the bed. You felt the angry crown of his cock press against your entrance as he teasingly rubbed it against your folds, feeling you already start to come undone below him. As he pulled his fingers from your mouth, he leaned down to kiss you yet again, the taste of your arousal lingered on your lips, he groaned out at the sensation, loving the way you tasted. With a single push, he buried himself within the cavern off your warmth, stretching you out by his impressive member. He stayed still for a while, letting you adjust to the size of him. Although you’d felt him before, this was different. None of you were fuelled by your anger this time, taking everything slowly and steadily. When he felt you buck your hips against his, he gently started massaging your inner walls, feeling you clench around him at the pleasure. Aaron leaned his head down, nipping at the juncture between your neck and shoulder, causing you to mewl out in ecstasy. He kept rolling his hips against yours at a languid pace, savoring the moment for as long as he could.
“God, I’ve wanted to do this for a long time.” He moaned into your ear, feeling you clamp down around him. “You look so beautiful laid out like this for me” He added, nosing at your skin. You shivered in response, barely coherent as he stuffed you full of him. Aaron was by far the biggest and the girthiest you’d taken. There was something about the way that he barely fit inside of you that made you flutter at the thought. He was so sweet and gentle with you, yet knowing that he could destroy you made everything ten times hotter. You could feel the sweat start to drip down your bodies, nails digging into the flesh of his back as the coiled tension in your lower abdomen started threatening to snap in half. You wrapped your leg around his hips, trying to force him deeper within your ribbed walls, chasing your release.
“Aaron! I’m gonna…” You sucked in a sharp breath, barely able to finish your thoughts as he started thrusting deeper within you.
“Cum for me baby.” Your walls started clenching around him, feeling the coil finally snap in a wave of shocks rushing through you. Aaron rode you through your high, and with one last thrust, he coated your inside with his seed, a grunt leaving his lips as he collapsed on top of you. “That was incredible.” He smiled, rolling onto his back with you wrapped in his arms. You nuzzled your head against his chest, his skin was clammy from your shared sweat mixing together.
It was weird, rolling into the garage, you spotted your cars. They were covered in dust from having been unused for as long as they had. The Cadillac had been yours for so long, that you barely even remembered the Avensis that you could call your own.
The elevator doors pinged open, revealing the team standing in two long lines waiting for you. It had been a long time since you’d seen the office, barely even remembering how the desks were placed. Cruz was standing at the end of it, his arms crossed across his chest, he looked annoyed, but then again, you were an hour late. As you walked in, the team started clapping at your triumph, barely noticing that your hands were interlocked with each other. It wasn’t until…
“OMG!” You heard Garcia’s squeal behind you as you were greeted by Cruz, already requesting to go into the conference room to debrief the whole mission. The two of you snapped your heads back in unison, watching everyone’s eyes trained on your hands with wide smiles, while they were practically bouncing on their feet to start gossiping with each other once you were out of sight. As you walked away you heard them start mumbling, catching Rossi’s triumphant acknowledgment that he knew it would happen sooner rather than later.

Hey ❤️ Can you write something with number 10. Undercover/fake relationship, with Gibbs? Maybe add a bit of angst?
Undercover
Tumblr media
gif by lucifersagents
Pairing: Gibbs x reader
Warnings!: Angst, undercover work, mentions of death and usual NCIS things, more angst, but fluffy ending
Promt: #10 undercover/fake relationship
--------
"We got a body." Gibbs announced to the team. You groaned. You had just wrapped up a case and almost instantly were diving into the next one.
"Don't murderers ever take a vacation?" You whined to Dinozzo.
"No, but we are. 3 marines found dead with their wives, in Miami, Florida. All were on vacation for their honeymoon." McGee informs the group. Everyone spent a few minute studying the victims.
"You know y/n you kind of look like the wives. And, and Gibbs you kinds resemble the husbands. In ya' know the stone cold marine type way." That earned a hard slap to the back of the head. "I'm just sayin'. We might have an opportunity here."
"You mean undercover?" You asked curiously, glancing at Gibbs. His face remained unwavering.
"Yeah, I mean, you two pretend to be married and we lure the guy to you two instead of some other couple." Dinozzo continued. You had to admit he had a point.
"I agree with Dinozzo, boss. This might just work well enough to distract him from killing another couple." Gibbs nodded slowly, still staring at the file.
"Ok, pack a bag everyone. Me and y/n will be going undercover, the rest of you will be running point from inside with the Miami PD." Gibbs grunts out before heading to the elevator. McGee shot you a look and you just shrugged.
* * *
10 hours later and you were settling into a lush honeymoon sweet in some way overpriced fancy hotel.
"So, Gibbs, how do you want to go about doing this? We need a back story, and I cant keep calling you Gibbs, because well that just doesn't make sense." You were babbling. But you always did when you were nervous. And you were only nervous because you may or may not have developed some feelings for the man standing before you.
"I guess your right." He sat on the edge of the bed. "We met at a small coffee shop, I was on my way to work, you were..." he was struggling to come up with something.
"Most of the wives were also marines, they just served for a much smaller amount of time than their husbands, they all worked on the same bases as their husbands. So I was also on my way to work, coincidently at the same place." He nodded going along with it.
"That works." He paused. "We need names."
"You could probably stick with Jethro Gibbs, and I would be Y/n Gibbs." He raised an eyebrow at you. "What? It would probably be easier just in case we slip up with a name." He couldn't argue there.
"Alright we should probably get some rest. Long day tomorrow." You agreed quickly with him, and you both made your way towards the bed. The bed. The only bed.
"I can sleep on the couch." He offered.
"Really Gibbs? No, we can share. Its a huge bed." And so you shared. He nodded, and swallowed audibly. You both got under the covers on your respective sides. And you heard Gibbs breathing even out signaling that he was asleep. You turned over and saw how serene his faced looked. You fell asleep soon after.
* * *
You awoke the next morning with a foriegn weight on your chest. Opening your eyes slowly you looked down only to find a head of salt and pepper hair. Gibbs. Gibbs was wrapped around ypu like-like a koala. His arms wrapped tightly around your middle, his legs tangled with yours while his head rested on your chest, your hands in his hair. You needed to get out of this bed. You ever so gently removed yourself from his arms, and he whined. He actually whined before falling back asleep.
You made a point not to bring this morning up once he woke up.
* * *
The case had seemed to be going relatively well. That is until you were almost caught following a suspect. The guy was walking back around a corner in an alley, probably because he had dropped his keys. If you didn't do something fast, then you would both be caught and ultimately busted.
All of a sudden Gibbs grabbed you and pressed you into a wall. He reached his hand down around your thigh hoisting it up along his side. And then his lips were on yours. He kissed you like a starved man, your mouths slanted together. He pressed into you more, and with one of his hands on your face and the other on your thigh, you let out a soft moan. Grabbing him by the collar you pulled him in harder and kissed him with even more passion than you thought possible.
The spell was unfortunately broken when the guy grabbed Gibbs by the shoulder yanking him back. He had a gun pointed directly at him.
Although unfortunately for him the rest of the team along with many officers were waiting for him to make his move and he was arrested within seconds.
And you and Gibbs couldn't look each other in the eyes.
* * *
The case cleared up pretty quickly after that, and you and Gibbs headed back to your room to collect your stuff. Once in the room the silence was deafening.
"Listen y/n, I'm sorry about the kiss. I just needed him to be distracted long enough to notice us." He daid a grim look on his face.
"I uh, it's fine." Yous stumbled out.
"You okay y/n?" He asked hesitantly stepping closer to you.
"I just, that seemed a lot more than just an undercover kiss." You paused waiting for a reaction. "It just seemed too real." You added quietly. His face quickly changed to one of almost anger.
"Well, it wasn't real." He snapped.
"Jeez Gibbs, you don't need to get defensive. I was just saying-" he cut you off.
"Listen y/n, that kiss was nothing. The only reason I would ever kiss you is if it pertained to a case!" You felt your eyes tear up as the realization crossed his face at what he just said.
"Wow, um. O-okay. I'm all packed, so I'm just gonna go." The tears were steadily falling down your face now.
"Wait y/n, that's not what I meant." He said, his voice softer now.
"No really sir, its fine. We should probably just remain professional from now on so that no feelings get mixed in with work." You walked to the door. "Goodbye Agent Gibbs." And you slammed the door behind you. Leaving Gibbs in that room by himself wondering what the hell he had just done.
* * *
You had closed yourself off completely from Gibbs in the upcoming weeks. He hated it of course, but he thought it best. He was sure he was falling in love with you, but he couldn't get close. He would only end up hurting you.
You had confided in Ducky one day after work. He had asked you why you had been avoiding Gibbs so much and you told him. He wanted to smack Gibbs. He would settle for giving him a piece of his mind.
So after work he called Gibbs downstairs to his office and shut the door behind him.
"You're an idiot." He scoffed.
"Excuse me?" Gibbs was taken aback by his friends bold words.
"She loves you too. And you're just pushing her away. Listen, not every woman you are with is going to get hurt, and you need y/n. I haven't seen you that happy since, well in a long time." Gibbs sat quietly taking in the words of his colleague.
"I-I didn't know what to do Duck. She was too close and I just... I panicked." He said quietly. Ashamed at the way he had spoken to you.
"Heres what you are going to do..."
* * *
You were sitting at you desk when you received a text from Palmer that you were needed in autopsy, you headed to the elevator and hopped in pressing the floor number. As you reached the floor, the doors slid open, revealing Gibbs, with a bouquet of flowers?
He stepped into the elevator, remaining quiet until it started moving. He pulled the emergency button and the elevator came to a halt. He turned slowly to face you.
"Y/n, you know I'm not good with words, and you know how much I hate apologizing. But I'm sorry for what I said and how I acted." He handed you the flowers. You took them giving him a skeptical look.
"Thank you?" You were very confused at where this was going.
"I think I'm in love with you, and that scares the hell out of me." He paused. "When I kissed you it was the best kiss I had ever had and I just didn't want to let you get close. I was scared." You knew it took a lot for him to say all of that to you, so you leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss to his lips.
"Thank you." You smiled at him. "I love you too you idiot." He chuckled at your words.
"I guess I am pretty stupid." You nodded.
"Yeah, but I know how you can make it up to me." You said a mischievous glint in your eyes. And boy did he make it up to you.

Final project time got me like *Internal Screaming 😱 * And to keep my sanity, I’m having thoughts about UndercoverThief!Reader.
(I’m also on a Warriors kick so we focus on him. He needs more love.)
So Reader has been teasing the group every time they drop into Warriors’ Hyrule and targeting Warriors’ scarf.
The first time was to cause a distraction and lure them away from an ambush (and because why pass up the opportunity to innocently flirt with a cute boy especially since his ears go bright red.)
The second was because Reader needed to talk to their commanding officer without alerting the people they were investigating. So why not get arrested by the cute knight?
The third time was just for kicks.
By the time it’s become a game between Reader and Warriors, their CO doesn’t care what they do so long as it doesn’t affect their job. (Reader is a professional and a multitasker! Of course it doesn’t interfere, Boss, who do you think they are?!)
So it’s just their luck that when Reader is just about to call in the operation to catch the big boss of the gang, that the whole chain (or just some) gets captured.
So now Reader has to try and bust out some heroes out of the gangs hideout without getting any of them killed.
(And that’s how Warriors discovers that the flirtatious thief who been stealing his scarf is actually a highly competent undercover agent for the knights. He’s having several emotions and Reader just keeps on flirting with him.)
(“Agent, why do you keep flirting with the hero?”
“Because his ears go red and I think it’s both really cute and fucking hilarious.”)
“When were you going to tell me this?!”
“Well I wasn’t really allowed to. Besides, mystery is sexy.” You give him a wink.
“Stop it!”
Warriors is a mess.

“What do the feds want?” Lehnsherr asks bluntly.
“You know I can’t tell you that,” the fed answers cheerfully. Then his gaze lands on Alex, and, impossibly, his grin gets even brighter. “Did you get a new partner?"
“No,” Lehnsherr says through his teeth while at the same time Alex says, “Yes.”

Summary: Damaged detective Erik Lehnsherr is grimly searching for a serial killer whose victims all have extraordinary gifts. But without any clues or leads he and his partner Logan are in the dark. Until Charles Xavier, abducted by the killer, escapes. Together Erik and Charles must confront something far darker than either of them had ever imagined.
Alternate Universe loosely based off the crime movie Kiss the Girls.
The Long Bright Dark – lachatblanche
Summary: Ten years ago Detectives Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr closed the case on a grotesque series of murders that continue to haunt them even in the present day. When they are pulled in for questioning a decade later, they finally have confirmation of something that they have both suspected for a very long time - that there is unfinished business for them to take care of and that the case they thought they had closed so very long ago is in reality still all too open.
A True Detective AU.
Finding North – ClarkeStetler, Goosenik
Summary: Charles and Erik are (loosely) friends with benefits. They don't share personal details, last names, or anything concrete about their lives. Charles is used to being on his own and taking care of himself; he has no reason to think that his relationship with this stern, icy man is going to change any of that. (Also known as: Tough Little Baby Telepath.)
MCIS: First Case – Pookaseraph
Summary: Erik Lehnsherr considers himself a great MCIS agent, and he puts up with a lot from his boss - Moira MacTaggart - in the name of solving crimes against mutants, but he's not so sure about this new empath, Charles Xavier. Their first case together will test Erik's patience, but doubtless be the beginning of a brilliant friendship.
MCIS: Fathers, Sons, and Brothers – Pookaseraph
