So due to some unforeseen circumstances I'm looking for a second job, figured I'd just try and pick up some weekend shifts at another coffee shop, get a little change of scenery. I had an interview yesterday, probably had at least 10 years on the kid they had interviewing me and this literal child had the balls to offer me $11 an hour and then look me in the eye and tell me that I would need to sign an NDA so she could be sure I wasn't going to "steal her secrets". What secrets? The ones that make you so much money that you can barely pay your staff above minimum wage? You serve the same locally roasted coffee as every other shop in the area, use the same brand of syrup, your food menu is nothing to write home about. Ah yeah girl, gimme those fuckin secrets 🙄

Production houses: but if the writers stay on strike we can't guarantee the future safety of your favorite shows 🥺🥺😭😭
Viewers who 1, have already lost their favorite shows because they were cancelled in spite of good ratings and good reviews or 2, have stopped watching new content entirely until the entire series has aired and concluded as a result of so many good shows getting cancelled on cliffhangers and thus leaving said viewers unable to gain closure with those characters and with a hollow viewing experience, so they've begun a, watching older shows they know came to a planned conclusion or b, revisiting their old favorites and enjoying the nostalgia or c, reading new books or fanfic instead: YOU ALREADY CAN'T GUARANTEE THE FUTURE OF OUR SHOWS SO GET FUCKING WRECKED AND PAY WRITERS WHAT THEY DESERVE!

The more "empowered" Disney tries to write their heroines as, the less interesting and charismatic they become, ironically.

i shared this spicy hot take in private but actually i'm kinda mad so i'm gonna say it here: i'll believe your moral objection to AI art is plagiarism and not "the thing is bad and taboo so all applications must be Evil" when ACTUAL blatant reposts and cropped off artist signatures get even one tenth the pushback that random ai shitposts with zero resemblance to real human art do.

Do you take commissions? If so, do you have a commission sheet? I’m sorry if this is an annoying ask I just really love your work lol
not annoying at all! i really really appreciate this a lot, thank you!
i have done commissions in the past on other platforms, but for now i am not taking them here. i'm not saying that i never will, because sometimes life is.. you know. Like That™️. but for now i'm steering clear of it to try and keep my passion up! 👍

There's this pull in recovery to feel behind in comparison to your peer group, and that's, of course, a valid feeling. It's understandable, but I think a lot of what we don't remember is that... they often aren't starting out in the same place you are.
I think part of the reason so many feel terrible about "being behind" is that it feels like we have to blame ourselves for being behind. If you just weren't affected by it, you'd be right where your peers are, right? It's a way to blame yourself in severe cases.
Recovery isn't about "catching up," I think. It's about pressing the play button and letting yourself live. You might never "catch up," you might never be at the "same level," but that fundamentally doesn't change that your life is worth living how you want it to.
