Blooming even in the shadows - Chapter 2
Tumblr media
~ Blooming even in the shadows ~
Pairing: Gryffindor Hyunjae x Slytherin Fem!Reader x Slytherin Younghoon (feat. a bubbly Ravenclow Juyeon)
WC: 5.5k
Synopsis: Synopsis: Almost all of the Hogwarts student body had made your stay at the school a big nuisance. Just a couple more of years to get out of that place, expecting to go unnoticed and staying away from bigger problems. Unless the popular and obnoxious Bermuda Line (whom you had avoided at max for five whole years), decided out of the blue one day they were going to walk into your life, which for sure, more than one person wasn't going to like.
Genre: hogwarts au, fluff, angst, smut, friends to lovers, enemies to lovers (in no particular order)
TW: swearing, injuries, school violence, mention of insecurities + (I’ll be adding more in the future probably)
A/N: Hello! It’s a me, the most inconsistent writer ever hehe. I’m sorry that this chapter took so much time to finally be posted. Being an adult and having my work it’s really hard sometimes and I don’t have a lot of free time as I would like. But I definitely won’t abbandon this fic, much less when Hogwarts Legacy is around the corner and will give me so much inspiration for it.
I haven't double checked for grammatical errors, but if I notice any, I'll edit it.
Series Masterlist: Blooming even in the shadows

What were you thinking? Yesterday was such a crazy day. Why did you let Younghoon walk you to the common room? Of course, he hadn't accompanied ONLY YOU, he also lived there. But anyway. You felt very nervous as you walked in silence.
It wasn't an awkward silence, but it felt suffocating. As if you both wanted to speak, say something, but neither dared. You walked with your head down that now you knew every stone on the floor from the clock tower to your bedroom.
You honestly didn't want to get in any more trouble, so you tried to prevent anyone from seeing you together.
Near the entrance of the Slytherin common room, one of your classmates looked frustrated and bored. When he saw you arrive, his face lit up and he quickly approached you.
"Hoon! I left very quickly early in the morning and forgot that today was password change. Let me in with you. I've been waiting for hours for someone to come in. Seems that everyone is far away from here." Said the new boy while he took his arm and pouted at him.
While your classmate was distracting Younghoon, you took the opportunity to go unnoticed, you went ahead and practically ran to your room without saying goodbye.
And today, you wanted to hit yourself so hard on the head. You asked for it by being careless. You could've wait for Younghoon to return your books and then run to your room. But you didn't. Now, surely he was going to look for you again to return them to you.
Tumblr media
And it was exactly like that. Younghoon had no idea what happened since it was so fast. One minute he was walking with you, and the next one his friend Seonghwa was hanging from his arm like a little kid asking for the new common room password, and suddenly when he wanted to talk to you again, you were gone.
You definitely disappeared faster than the ghosts in the castle.
He first felt disappointed because if you saw each other again, he didn't know how to aproach you to talk again. Finding you in the tower had been a good coincidence, but he knew he couldn't be that lucky. Does he?
Probably yes, because a smile returned to his face when he realized that he still had your books with him. The books that you necessarily needed for your classes the next day. So Younghoon thought it was really nice to be able to have a golden excuse.
Only he didn't think that the next day it would be so difficult to find you in the morning.
Tumblr media
The best plan that your silly head could think of was to sneak out very early in the morning to avoid running into that blond boy. It was so early that there weren't any students in the common room yet, so you left with the utmost peace knowing that you were free.
Or so you thought it would happen, if it weren't for the fact that outside, leaning against one of the walls, radiant and forming a huge smile when he saw you, it was Lee Juyeon. That boy really didn't give up, but at the same time, it was very hard to feel truly uncomfortable in his presence.
Apparently his silly head had the same idea as you. Leaving so early in the morning to be able to find you and accompany you to your class even if you didn't have the same schedule. So not wanting to fight, you reluctantly let him stay by your side.
As you headed to the classroom, you noticed that everything was noisier than usual. And it was because while every day you walked quietly and calmly on your own, going with Juyeon, was like making lumos in a completely dark corridor. You both inevitably called (no, shouted) the attention of others. Students from all the houses and all the years greeted Juyeon and wished him a good day at school, and the boy kindly smiled and exchanged a few words with everyone.
It looked like the fucking spring witches parade. And since you weren't used to it, you felt very uncomfortable. Especially for having the curious and not very good stares of people on you.
"I didn't think you were such a morning person. You have too much energy." You complained in the middle of a sigh, avoiding his gaze.
"You could get used to it from now on. The others will also get used to seeing us together because we are going to be friends." He spoke softly.
"According to whom?"
"Destiny. Never judge fate, YN."
Inadvertently, your chest heaved with excitement. But it was something you wouldn't even admit to yourself in thoughts. Don't flatter yourself, YN. You repeated to yourself not with much conviction. What bullshit and nonsense was this guy saying?
"Merlin’s pants! How fucking cheesy you are.
Tumblr media
Arriving at your classroom, you quickly entered without looking back and Juyeon stopped at the door while he waited for you to take a seat (away from the entrance, but close to where the professor would be) and you listened to him saying –more like yelling- words of encouragement to you.
"Enough, Juyeon. We'll see each other in the next class." You yelled in a whisper with your head down and you felt a little embarrassed. It looked like the scene of a proud father dropping off his daughter on her first day of school.
Lucky you, there weren't many people yet. Your classmates laughed because Juyeon was like a walking vitamin. You ignored him so he would go away once and for all.
You weren't going to deny that it was nice to hear words of support from him. It was like being given a big gift on a day that wasn't your birthday.
When the blue haired boy left, you finally noticed the place. You started to feel very anxious but excited at the same time. Your heart was beating fast just with the anticipation, and you smiled inadvertently as you thought and thought. You were determined that today would be a good day.
Damn Juyeon with his good humor and all that contagious shit.
You were so engrossed that you barely noticed that someone sat behind you and gently touched your shoulder.
When you turned around, you didn't expect to see him so happy and confident. It wasn't very common to see that young Slytherin being like this. Much less, talking to someone who wasn't part of his elite few friends.
"YN, yesterday Hwa distracted me. That dummy forgot the password." He told you as if it were daily bread to tell you about his life or something as banal as that. "I didn't even realize you were gone. I have your books, but I can give them to you in the next class so you don't have to carry them and you'll be more comfortable."
Observing that strange exchange of words, Lee Jaehyun, who was sitting next to his blond friend, was perplexed. When had you two been together? Were you close enough to lend each other books?
Jaehyun inevitably thought about what happened the day before. He wasn't going to deny that he was embarrassed by the way he acted and by what he said to you without understanding what was happening.
He had to accept that he was deeply upset by what his Slytherin friend had said the day before. How come you didn't feel comfortable in his presence? You practically didn't know him well enough to say that. And then the situation where he found you later with those girls, he definitely didn't know what happened, but they were on the floor crying, and you just looked upset. He had no idea of what happened. It wasn't coherent that you alone had hurt five girls.
Something in all of this was off. But Jaehyun was too proud to ask you about what happened and much more to apologize for his attitude. He didn't owe you anything.
But Jaehyun was curious.
Without thinking, the Gryffindor boy took his stuff and moved to the seat across from him. Right beside you. Right at the moment when Professor Lupin entered.
You quickly turned to look at him with a frown as if he were a three-headed creature, and before you could say something and ask him to leave, you locked eyes with the new Gryffindor boy who was accompanying the professor to his desk. As soon as he met your stare, he gave you one of those huge smiles you always saw on him and waved at you as he helped set things up.
Your heart skipped a beat.
Lee Sangyeon. A sunbae who was a year older, prefect of the red house, and captain of his Quiditch team. He too, was one of the kindest and most attentive people you knew, and one of the few people you talked to in good terms at school. And that's not to mention that he was incredibly handsome and looked spectacular with that cute dimple and his perfectly pinned caramel hair.
Your hands trembled a bit and you closed them tightly to calm yourself down. You felt your cheeks burn and inevitably a smile formed on your face. A gesture that didn't go unnoticed by either of the two boys around you. Younghoon looked thoughtful and Jaehyun was quite surprised.
They both knew (from Jaehyun) that Sangyeon would be going to be a "helper" in Defense Against the Dark Arts class since the boy was excellent at non-verbal spells and that was what's going to happen in your class that school year. Basically any student in the class with the Slytherins and Gryffindors could come up and ask him for help so that the professor could pay better attention to everyone.
Younghoon frowned as he realized what his friend wanted.
"Yah, why did you change seats? A few minutes ago you told me not to leave your side and now you're leaving me." The other boy just gave him a mischievous smile. "At least consult it with YN first. Who told you that she wants to work with you?"
You thought irritably (because of the Gryffindor next to you) that he was right. Ever since Sangyeon mentioned to you last year that you would see each other in this class, you had been waiting impatiently for it. There was a reason you had chosen a seat so close to the professor's desk. Maybe not for anything you had taken a few extra minutes in the morning when you were getting ready. What was this guy doing?
"Juyeon said that his 'girl friend'" he said with a mocking tone the last word. "was very intelligent, wasn't she? This year I need to raise my grades, so with her it'll be easier. You can serve me for something YN." He finished speaking with a haughty air.
Wow, what a despicable guy. You closed your eyes to keep calm and not curse him out in front of everyone.
Younghoon on the other hand, had a lot to say.
"Dude, wtf? Jaehyun! It…it's for a long time." Poor boy looked quite frustrated. "Jae, you know I don't want to work with someone I don't know."
"Tell any of your fellow Slytherins. You get along with some, right? Didn't you say that you were even with Seonghwa yesterday?"
You looked at Jaehyun and thought surprised how was he able to abandon his friend like that. Younghoon clearly talked to a lot of people, but that didn't mean he was an open person. His seatmates had always been either Jaehyun or Juyeon and you had never really seen him during classes with someone else.
"What the hell are you planning Lee? Come back to your seat."
"This is my new seat." Jaehyun suddenly turned around and motioned for Sangyeon to come over. You wanted to hit this guy so fucking hard. "Hyung, will you help Professor Lupin in general, or will you work alongside someone else?"
"A bit of both, Jae." The Gryffindor captain gave you all a confused smile. He didn't knew you three talked to each other. When did you become close? "Hi YN." He gently caressed your head while smiling. You looked at him nervously but you also smiled and greeted him nervously.
"Hyung, do you need a partner?" Jaehyun insisted again towards his captain. Sangyeon looked at him and then directed his gaze at you looking determined. However, Jaehyun interrupted again. "No YN, hyung, you can work with Hoonie. Younghoon, stop complaining, you already have a new partner. And it's the assistant's professor, who better than hyung to be with in this class?"
You, Sangyeon and Younghoon look at him surprised. Why was he so bossy? Younghoon even wanted to tell him then why didn't he pair up with Sangyeon but he already knew, what Jaehyun wanted was what was done. And he knew that this had nothing to do with him or Sangyeon. It was a nuisance. No one there felt 100% satisfied but they didn't say anything else since Professor Lupin began to explain to the class that this course was in pairs because you would practice just non-verbal spells.
The first few classes he would teach you how to cast attack spells and defense spells, and then you would have to practice using them against your seatmates only inside Hogwarts.
"Sangyeon is a sunbae who will be helping whoever needs it in my class. Don't be shy, if you find him outside the castle and have any questions, you can also ask him, or come find me in my office." The professor spoke calmly. "Non-verbal spells are difficult to perform and control, they take a long time, so I encourage you not to lose hope during the class. I hope that maybe you manage to execute one at the end of the course, or at least, I hope that you can avoid the antics of your seatmates."
"Miss LN, I look forward to seeing your performance. I have heard very good things from the other professors about you and your use of non-verbal spells. I hope that Mr. Lee knows what awaits him in the following months, 'cause if not, Mr. Lee, you can consult the infirmary whenever you like. –The students in the class laughed at the professor's joke.
Jaehyun immediately turned to see you.
"So you know how to make potions that Slughorn likes and you're good at this too?" He asked surprised.
"You have no idea Jae, she's more than good." The captain Interrupted before you could answer.
"How come you two know each other?" asked the youngest of the Gryffindors with some suspicion.
Without even looking at him, you answered under your breath, "It's none of your business, Lee."
But it was his business, Jaehyun thought. He didn't understand his curiosity about you, but he was grateful when Sangyeon spoke again.
"Usually we met in nearby places when we studied in the library. YN always has her head buried in all kinds of books; some even very advanced. So there were some things that I needed help with for a class, and she explained them too well." Sangyeon spoke with a smile as he remembered how you had met. "She really is brilliant! And I really wanted to come back to this Lupin class to see what YN knows how to do."
Younghoon watched that exchange silently but his eyes looked very curious. It was to be expected that Sangyeon would have such a facility to approach and make anyone feel comfortable, including you.
"How can it be possible? I thought you were like an outcast who had no friends. Juyeon and Younghoon said it." You heard Jaehyun say with zero shame.
"Lee Jaehyun! What's wrong with you?"
"Yah Jaehyun! What the fuck is wrong with you?"
Sangyeon and Younghoon yelled in annoyance at their inconsiderate friend. You felt your cheeks burn with anger and humiliation because, okay, maybe he hadn't told any lies, but honestly, why did he care? You knew that there were rude people with you, you knew that that Gryffindor was rude, but it was completely different when he said it in front of a person whose opinion you did care about. And to you, Sangyeon wasn't just any person. Even if there was no chance, he was still the guy you liked and made your heart flutter.
"YN, you don't have to listen to something so silly… Jae has no manners." The older one whispered under his breath.
"YN, it's not true what he's saying, we never..."
Both boys were trying to caught your gaze, but you didn't want to see his pitying expressions.
You decided to close your mind and thoughts in a black box and ignore everything that happened in that class from now on. You concentrated on listening to the professor's words and pretending that the three boys around you didn't exist.
Jaehyun didn't stop moving the whole time in his place, but he didn't say anything. And even if he had, you wouldn't have listened to him either.
When Lupin announced the end of the class, your seatmate looked with every intention of opening his mouth again, but you took your things and left immediately without waiting for anything.
Jaehyun was bewildered. Not because of how you had reacted (cause honestly, who would want to talk after something like that?), but because of himself. He was a joker, and he knew some of his jokes were very heavy, but that hadn't been a joke, it had just been a nasty, rude and insensitive thing. Besides, he was like that with his friends, not with a person he didn't know or didn't have some trust in him.
Therefore, what was questioned the most was why he was being like this with you? Was it because you were the first person that didn't feel comfortable with him and it bothered him? Was it because he distrusted you because of what those girls told him a day before? Was it because on the contrary, with Juyeon, Younghoon and Sangyeon you were fine? Or was it because all of his friends were sticking up for you and they clearly liked you and he didn't know you?
Before he could leave the classroom, he felt a very strong gaze on him and without having to actually see, he knew that it was a very, very angry captain.
"What you said was really disgusting, Jae. You can be a bully to your friends, you can be a bully to our Quidditch mates cause that's how you all get along, but you can't be like that with her." The older one scolded him while frustratedly touched his temples. "Do you know how much she endures every day? YN is a really good person who doesn't deserve to be treated like this."
And without thinking, like a terrible verbal vomit, Jaehyun only managed to answer. "What do I care about a Slytherin who's an orphan and a mudblood? Or do you LIKE her, Sangyeon, and that's why you defend her so much?
Sangyeon looked at his hoobae and friend just disappointed. "I've seen too many things about you Jae. Too many. As many good as bad. But I never expected to hear you talk like that one day. Do you realize how unpleasant it is?" The brunette let out a tired sigh. "We can be friends, Jaehyun, but not cause we're close I'm going to let you talk to me like that. And I'm not only your captain, I'm your prefect and my duty is to take care that no student behaves like this. Those are not our values as Gryffindors. It doesn't matter who you are."
Jaehyun felt heavy. And yes, he felt very embarrassed. But since he was in a streak with unfiltered replies, he said: "Ok then, where were you yesterday when YN attacked five students with magic?"
Immediately Sangyeon's countenance changed to a surprised one and he asked. "What happened to her?"
Stupid Jaehyun, can't you keep quiet? He berated himself inwardly as he regretted having said too much. He was no fool, Sangyeon was a very good person, but as a prefect he was quite strict because he played by the rules very rigidly. And he knew that this could bring you a lot of trouble.
"Jae, explain to me what happened with YN."
"Hyung, it's getting too late for my next class, see you in practice."
"No practice today. Not all week. You're grounded so you can reflect on your attitude."
"What the fuck, Sang?! We have a game soon, I can't stay without practicing."
"Tell me what happened with YN and I'll only give you 3 days."
The younger of the Gryffindors remained grumbling but stayed silent and left angrily without saying goodbye to his captain.
He was looking like a complete fool. And on top of that he was grounded. He couldn't help but think that these consequences were because you were meddling in his life, and he wasn't going to sit idly by.
Tumblr media
As soon as you flew out of the classroom, Younghoon took his things more than quickly and ran after you until he caught up with you.
"YN…"
"I don't want to hear justifications on behalf of your stupid friend." You answered defensively without letting the blond say more.
"I'm not here to justify him. In fact, he is stupid. YN, you really, really, don't have to feel bad about anything that comes from Jae's poisonous mouth." You heard him say firmly while he searched for your gaze.
You turned to the opposite side and remained silent. You didn't want to talk about it.
You kept walking towards your potions class and while looking at the floor you saw that Younghoon was still next to you.
"Don't let Jae get to you… it's not worth it."  You heard him say in a pretty low voice that sounded sad.
"I… I receive comments like this, some much worse, every day. What Jaehyun said just joins to the huge list as one more."
The Slytherin boy probably didn't mean anything bad, but when he insisted on speaking again you looked at him and not knowing why, you spoke.
"Younghoon…"
He was startled to hear you say his name so softly.
"It's humiliating for me to have to acknowledge the way other people treat me. I don't want, I really don't want, to hear condolences of someone who has everything so easy in his perfect life." Your chest felt very heavy as you kept talking without thinking. "Juyeon doesn't understand that getting close to me has consequences. And not for him, for me it becomes worse! And if anyone else gets to hear the way Jaehyun is making fun of me, then they're all going to give themselves another free pass to tease me to death. And I… I'm just fed up.”
You felt your eyes sting but you tried not to blink so that no tears would fall. Younghoon was petrified in his place feeling all the sadness that emanated from you without you realizing it. It was heavy and gray. A very dark grey. And he didn't know why, but he just wanted to do something so you wouldn't feel like this anymore.
"You have no idea how horrible it is to hear something like that in front of one of the few people who speak well to me in this castle." You thought of Sangyeon and his worried face. "Mostly I'm afraid that he'll change his opinion about me… because then what will I have left?" You ended up whispering. You were so lost in thought that you didn't even know you were saying it all out loud.
Aloud. You started to panic. You shouldn't have said anything you just practically threw up. You stayed silent.
The two of you kept quiet and you panicked about everything you just spilled so you leave quickly. Younghoon stood there surprised and overwhelmed by the strong feelings of heaviness and sadness that he felt from you. He didn't get into your thoughts, but it wasn't necessary to know that you were feeling very bad even if you put up a strong front every day. And he knew it because he had been watching you from afar for years.
When Younghoon came to Hogwarts, he was even more shy and reserved than he is now. And not precisely because he didn't like to talk to people. On the contrary, he would rather talk to people than have to listen to them ALL the time in his head. But from a very young age, the young Slytherin developed strong abilities as a legilimens and it was very difficult for him to stop feeling or silence others. Also, his parents had constantly warned him about not being able to tell anyone how easy it was for him to get into people's minds because that information in the wrong hands could put him in danger.
So it was never his intention to get into any relationship with anyone other than his lifelong friends Jaehyun and Juyeon. This two guys who even though they knew about Younghoon's ability, always kept this knowledge only with them. And not only that, but they never treated him as someone different or showed that they had any hidden interest in what he could do.
Therefore, he had no idea why since his first day in Hogwarts, as his house prefect took them to their common room after the welcome dinner, he had been interested in the little girl who was frowning and stayed away from her other classmates.
Younghoon had felt something very strong when he met you and he didn't know how to identify it because it was very different from previous times with others. It had never happened to him that he didn't know the emotion emanating from a person, but he thought the easiest way to make it work was to name it after a color that was close enough. And because of that, most of the times he saw you, he subconsciously called you dark gray.
Throughout the years of the boy seeing you from a distance, he had realized how serious, scared, shy and annoyed you felt towards your peers.
He was no fool, he had soon realized the way they treated you, and sometimes he listened to what they said about you or even about your family. And he would always see how you "ignored" all that gossip, but he, far away and secretly, knew that you weren't immune to those attacks.
He also didn't understand the fact that someone genuinely enjoy spreading rumors with no idea where they came from or calling you names.
One of his favorites was the mudblood trash, cause they said you grew up in an orphanage without knowing who your parents were. He had also heard on other occasions that your parents had been drug-addicted Muggles who left you on your own. And still others said that your parents had died in the wizarding war for supporting the dark lord.
But Younghoon simply didn't think there was any truth to all those rumors.
After all, people liked to make up too much stuff about each other just to have something to talk about. They always thought it was okay, as long as it wasn't themselves. He knew it firsthand, and he kind of related because Younghoon wasn't the person everyone said he was.
Just like Jaehyun and Juyeon, but at least they knew each other and had each other for support, and it was still hard sometimes. So he didn't know how you'd put up with it for so long alone.
At first he didn't mean to poke around, and sometimes, even though he didn't like to admit it or was told it was wrong, he would dig a little inside for something he called "curiosity" because he wanted to know how you could look so composed and unruffled with so much on your shoulders. But inadvertently, that marked him when he began to notice your pain deep down when people annoyed you, he felt your loneliness, he felt your sadness, and he felt your anger almost as if they were from himself.
He had never felt a person like you.
But also, by observing you so much, there were moments he had seen that you smiled when you thought no one was seeing you, like when some difficult spell worked out for you, when you drank mint chocolate in winter or when you were in front of the windows of the common room and you saw the giant squid. And in those moments, dark gray didn't exist.
Nor did he think you were a bad person as many wanted to believe, because no one had to tell him that when he had seen you -while reading in the trees that overlooked the entrance to the forest- several times going in alone to play with some animals and to bring them food.
Or how you sometimes helped people behind their backs. Like when Ronda Patkins spent days crying in the common room because she couldn't find her cat and he accidentally looked when you found it and left it near her to make sure it came back to her. All so that days later he would hear the same girl talking bad about you.
He was very angry with people.
Younghoon didn't know why he cared so much about you, but he did and he had decided long ago that it was better to stop questioning him. In the end, no one but him knew and it was his own secret.
Now he knew that he had the opportunity to get close to you, the boy genuinely wanted you to feel safe and content in the company of someone. So you could have what you secretly yearned for inside.
The blond knew that he and Juyeon meant well, but with Jae being more of a jerk than usual, it was going to be hard for you to let them in.
Tumblr media
You walked aimlessly just feeling panic. You were debating whether to get into your next class, where Juyeon would obviously want to talk to you, and you didn't feel confident enough to pretend nothing was wrong. And you couldn't see Younghoon either, who would also be there, after having blurted out everything you said to him. Damn, why did he have to be another stupid Slytherin.
So the most "prudent" decision that occurred to you was to quickly leave the castle and hide with a book in front of the black lake. At this time not many students would be in the area and it would help calm all the anxiety you were feeling.
You didn't even know where that explosion of words had come from and you felt too ashamed. For you, for a long time, having real human emotions had felt like something forbidden and wrong for you to do. And the worst thing is that you had dropped this whole facade in front of nothing more and nothing less than one of the members of the bermuda line. And not just any of the trio, but the quietest, most serious and most intimidating boy of them.
You didn't stop over analyzing the situation and probably right now he was thinking about how pathetic you were.
Your chest felt contracted, heavy. Your anxiety was still going at thousand miles. It was like you stripped naked in front of Younghoon and you just wanted to cringe the more you thought about it. And in the humiliating words of the stupid Jaehyun. And in the condescending face of Sangyeon, the boy you admired the most in that place.
As you walked along the shore of the lake, careful not to trip, going over a thousand conversations in your confused head, you felt someone tap your shoulder. You were so absorbed that you hadn't heard that someone was following you and you were so startled that without thinking twice or contemplating the consequences, you took out your wand and with a non-verbal spell (which you definitely couldn't use outside of class) you threw the person to the lake.
Oh no! Shit, shit, shit. What trouble did you just get yourself into? And if you ran from there? Did they know who you were? Have they seen your face? Would they accuse you? Of course they was going to accuse you. Would you help that person to get out of the lake? Of course, you weren't a murderer and you didn't even know if that person knew how to swim. What if one of the creatures in the lake hurt them?
You got as close as you could to the shore, squatted down, and stretched out your hand. Long fingers closed tightly around your wrist as you pulled and you heard:
"The fuck is wrong with you, YN!"
This couldn't be happening to you.

“BINNIE!!” you yelled as soon as you spotted your black haired best friend in the crowd at the train station.
Just when he was turning to face you, you crashed into him, and he had to use every strength in his body to not fall over. He held you tight while gently patting your back. Once on the train, you talked about your respective summertime until you arrived at Hogwarts. It was your fifth year for both of you, and you were excited.
“Class started three days ago and I already have four parchments to write plus two exams next week. I know the O.W.L.S. are important but this is straight up overworking poor fifteen years olds. I’m still not over my summer holidays.”
You let out a deep sigh, pushing yourself deeper atop the table, your left cheek on your crossed arms.
Changbin chuckled next to you. “I don’t want to imagine how you’ll react in a few months when we won’t be able to breathe because we’ll crumble under an astronomical amount of homework.”
You straightened your back, eyes wide, then whined and got back to your previous position. “I have astronomy class tonight… how will I survive?”
Your best friend scoffed while rubbing soothing circles on your back. “You’ll be fine. I’ll be there.”
“I won’t survive this year,” you mumbled, eyes closed.
“You’re being overdramatic.”
Of course, you were. People only needed to spend ten minutes with you to know. Changbin liked this side of you, it was always fun to him, how you could say dramatic stuff while looking this cute. You’ll never catch him say that out loud, though.
A few weeks later, Changbin was on his way to his first Quidditch practice with his teammates —you were accompanying them— when a group of Gryffindors came to him, fifth year Haknyeon leading.
“Hey Changbin,” he called, “I bet I’m faster than you on a broom.”
“Is that why I’m on the Quidditch team and you’re not?” he retorted. A few teammates laughed.
Haknyeon scoffed, visibly upset. Then shrugged. “I’ll try not to humiliate you too much.”
“Why don’t you let your broom do the talking? I’m ready to fly whenever you are,” Changbin smirked.
“I’ve seen Haknyeon practice for hours on the Training Grounds,” Yugyeom, beater of your House, whispered to the team.
“Come on, you can win this with your eyes closed,” a Gryffindor encouraged his housemate.
“If the referee asks, I don’t condone this,” Soyeon, captain of the Slytherin team, warned with her hands up.
Changbin and Haknyeon prepared for the race, getting on their brooms.
“Loser buys the butterbeer. That’s you, Ju.”
Ju Haknyeon tsked and you approached your best friend. “Please, don’t end up in the Hospital Wing, Binnie.”
“I thought you had more faith in me,” he winked.
You moved back, rolling your eyes amusedly as they started the race.
“This is the race I didn’t know I wanted,” a Gryffindor said excitedly.
It was tight, until Haknyeon decided to push Changbin. They were going straight to a statue and didn’t seem to realize it. Changbin avoided it with ease though, while Haknyeon wasn’t so lucky, his robes getting caught in the lance’s statue. He kept flying and his robes ripped apart. Your best friend arrived safely on the ground and a few moments later, Haknyeon arrived as well, throwing his broom on the floor in frustration.
Changbin’s teammates were laughing, even Soyeon was giggling. “It was really fun to watch, but we have practice,” Jeongguk, the second beater, announced.
“It was a good race,” Changbin proposed his hand for Haknyeon to shake, which he did.
“It was. Next time I’ll win, though.”
“We’ll see about that. Don’t forget you owe me that butterbeer!”
You all left for the Quidditch Pitch; the team for practice, you to cheer on Changbin from the stands. He always said it helped him do better. So you used practice to do your homework, but always ended up sidetracking, due to a fervent Quidditch fan going to a lot of practices from every house. You often wondered if Subin was twenty four hours in the stands. I mean, you wouldn’t complain, because Subin was a pretty cute Hufflepuff that was always cheering on everyone.
Second Saturday of December, you went to Hogsmeade with your best friend.
“Binnie,” you called from the scarves alley, “how about this one?” He was sitting on a fir green leather bench next to the fitting room in Gladrags Wizardwear, the clothing shop of Hogsmeade.
“Now that is a pretty scarf. Emerald and silver stripes, nice and simple. You see, the purple one wasn’t really going well with the green of your tie and robes.”
“You’re right, I’ll take it,” you smiled.
You turned around and when your eyes landed on someone outside, you stopped yourself and stared, a shy smile on your face. Changbin curiously got up then followed your gaze but, upon seeing nothing, was confused by your behavior.
“What’s going on?”
“Subin walked past and smiled at me,” you beamed.
“Oh, I see. Better pay for the scarf and go if you want to talk to him, then.”
Yes, you had an embarrassing crush on the cutest Hufflepuff ever. Have you talked to him before? Eh. Made a whole conversation? Now, let’s not get over ourselves. He just always smiled when he caught you staring or when you bumped into each other in the hallways. He was just so sweet.
“I still can’t believe you fell for a smile.”
“Those are powerful things, you know?”
Oh, he knew alright. He fell for yours.
“I can’t believe this guy! Five gallions a scarf? It better lasts until the end of my school years,” you huffed loudly, putting away your wallet.
“Stop whining, you bought it anyway.”
“Well yeah, I need to stay warm this winter.”
“Remind me again why you’re buying it now?” His tone was teasing, making your eyes roll.
“A crup destroyed it yesterday during care of magical creatures class but I’m sure you don’t need a reminder,” you answered bitterly. You remembered how his laugh was louder than everyone else’s.
“You’re right. That was so funny.”
You had the urge to smack him but stopped yourself. “Stop mocking me, it was the scarf or my face!”
You didn’t spot Subin again that day, but Haknyeon did buy Changbin butterbeer like promised.
Classes were hard, but you were holding up just fine, compared to your whines the first week. Sometimes you were even a little too enthusiastic, like with the crup.
Now, the only pet that terrorized everyone but Changbin and you is his scops owl, Yogi. He loved you, somehow, while he could tear apart another student just because he walked too close to it for comfort.
Actually, it happened before.
Once.
First year. Yogi was on Changbin’s shoulder as he was walking to the owlery, when a student —was he a Ravenclaw? Probably a 3rd year at the time— bumped into his shoulder by accident. Right before Changbin could do anything, Yogi flew to the guy, lacerated his clothes and skin while giving him pecks, all the while flying around him. The poor Ravenclaw tried to cover his head with his arms.
After a few seconds, Changbin realized the gravity of the situation. He called Yogi who flew right back on his owner’s shoulder, not without barking in the boy’s direction.
The latter slowly dropped his arms on his sides and got up, visibly upset. “He tried to kill me!!”
“Yeah he does that, sorry! It’s nothing personal,” Changbin shrugged. “I suggest you go to the infirmary, dude, it’s not looking good.” He gestured to the upper body of the 3rd year who left in a hurry, a big frown on his face.
Since that day, Yogi stayed in the owlery to avoid having the whole school at Changbin’s throat because of his tiny and aggressive pet. He was happy, though, he could make friends and leave whenever and wherever, instead of being kept in a room full of hormones and sweat. I mean, the choice was quickly made.
The fifth match opposing Slytherin to Hufflepuff was coming soon, and you knew Subin was going to be there. So, as the skilled-at-potion-teenage-witch-in-love you were, your great idea was to induce chocolate chip cookies with a love potion and offer them to him after the match.
“It’s a love potion, what could possibly go wrong?” you whispered to yourself over your cauldron.
I could give you a list.
You purposely kept your plan to yourself, knowing what your best friend would say —and rightfully so, might I add— about the dangers of love potions, but really the most dangerous was amortentia, which was why you chose another one. The potion you decided to make was supposed to bring to the surface already existing feelings, not create an infatuation or obsession. You knew love couldn’t be created by a potion, and you didn’t want that either. Also, it wouldn’t last really long, just two to three hours, enough time for someone to confess their feelings.
Thinking about your best friend, though, you decided to make regular cookies to congratulate him on his next win —you were persuaded Slytherin would win. Once ready, you put them in different bags, naming them ‘S’ for Subin and ‘Q’ for the Quidditch team.
On the day of the match, you walked proudly in the direction of the Quidditch pitch with your potion-induced cookies in one hand and the normal ones in the other.
Arriving at the changing room, you entered with your eyes closed —who knew what you could witness— and called for Changbin.
“Scared of seeing a few muscles, Y/N?” You recognized Jeongguk’s joking voice.
A hand took your wrist and gently pulled you outside before you could reply.
“Is that cookies? For me?”
As you opened your eyes, you saw Changbin reaching for one bag, but you were quick to dodge his hand. “You’ll have to win first.”
“See you soon, then,” he spoke to the cookies with a smirk.
“I came to say good luck. You’re gonna win easily.” He thanked you with a hug.
“Who’s the second bag for?” your best friend asked, and you turned your head in embarrassment. “Let me guess. Subin?”
“Not so loud!” you whisper-shouted as you put your hand over his mouth, having now both bags in the other one.
“Too late.” You turned around super fast, losing your grip on the bags in the process. But no one was behind you. “I was joking,” he laughed, “your face was priceless. We’ll definitely win this match.”
He left you to join his team who was calling for him and you picked up the bags, realizing some cookies were broken. “I should be hexing you!” you shouted but wasn’t sure he heard. You walked up to the stands, searching for familiar faces.
The cookies safely installed in your robes’ pockets, you sat next to your Slytherin friends and watched as the Hufflepuff’s team came flying on the pitch. Next was your house. Changbin was already showing off his flying skills by swirling and spinning around the area. He stopped in front of you and gave you a thumbs up, which, despite the trick he pulled only minutes prior, you mirrored. You could never hate him, even if you tried.
Ten minutes into the match, Juyeon, one of Hufflepuff”s beaters, sent a bludger to your house’s keeper, San. Changbin was quick to borrow Yugyeom’s bat to send the bludger away before it could touch San. You heard someone in the crowd say: “Wow, Changbin is not only fast, he’s pretty strong too.” Damn right.
Your house won 190 to 140. It was time Changbin caught the snitch, or it would’ve been embarrassing for everyone. As promised, you went back to the changing room to deliver the cookies.
“You did so good,” you excitedly said as Changbin took the bag from your hand. “You can share with everyone, I made a lot.”
“Thanks Y/N, you’re the best.”
“You are!” Soyeon chimed in.
“Come on, go talk to your crush. I just saw him leave,” he urged you, pushing you out of the changing room. When you turned around, he wasn’t there anymore.
Subin was walking back to the castle, a little pout on his face. You ran up to him, and called his name. When he saw you, he smiled. “Y/N, hey. What’s up?”
“I, uh, wanted to give you these cookies,” you sheepishly said as you handed him the second bag. He reached for them as he thanked you. “And I’m sorry you guys didn’t win. But, for what it’s worth, you’re first in the course for the House Cup.”
“Thank you, Y/N, it’s really kind of you. Your house team played well, and Changbin is a really skilled seeker.”
“He is,” you acquiesced with a proud smile. Finally, Subin opened the bag and took a relatively complete cookie. “Sorry, I dropped them earlier…”
“No problem, they still look good.” Ah, this smile. Pretty cute. He started chewing, and you kept your eyes on him, waiting for a reaction. “Wow, it’s fantastic!”
“You think?” Your cheeks felt hot, he loved your cookies. One win.
“Really, it’s the best cookie I’ve ever tasted. Which oddly reminds me I have to talk to someone. Thank you again for the cookies, Y/N!” With that, he accidentally dropped the bag and ran to the castle. With fast reflexes, you caught it before it could reach the floor.
You were confused. Did it not work? There was still the ‘S’ written in black on the transparent bag. Did you make a mistake when naming the bags? A vision of horror crossed your mind as you sprinted back to the changing room. You prepared yourself for the worst when entering the room, but nothing seemed weird. Everyone was finishing changing in a good mood. So, either you didn’t exchange the bags and Subin felt nothing for you or no one here liked anyone—you lowkey preferred this second suggestion.
When Changbin saw you, he frowned and approached you. “Are you okay? How did it go?”
“Good, he liked my cookies,” you tried to smile but after running so much, you puffed a bit.
“Then why do you still have them, then?”
“Oh? Right, he, uh, gave them back.”
“That’s not polite,” he said without a shadow of a smile. Was that a clenched jaw?
“He didn’t do it on purpose, I promise.”
“What do you mean? How can you not give back a gift on purpose?” Great question, funny story.
“It’s… complicated.”
Your best friend huffed. “I’ll show him.” He took his stuff and left the changing room under the whole Slytherin Quidditch team confused eyes, and you followed him closely.
“I assure you, it’s nothing.”
“Nothing?” He stopped in his tracks and faced you. “Can I have a cookie, please?”
“No?” You nervously laughed as he raised a brow.
“Why not?”
“Because, uh, the… chocolate is melted. Yeah.”
“I don’t mind.” He extended an arm, palm up to receive a cookie. Refusing meant telling him the truth… “Thanks.”
Like with Subin, you waited for a reaction. “So, what did you want to prove?”
“A point.”
“Which is…?”
“That you put something in these cookies,” he said calmly.
Saying you were shocked was an understatement. “How did you know?!”
“Come on, Y/N, you’ve never baked anything in our five years of friendship and suddenly it’s a whole batch, plus you didn’t want me to touch it before the game. Felt suspicious. But the biggest clue is that you still have the bag.”
“As always, you have an amazing sense of observation,” you muttered, quite embarrassed.
“Yes, and I’m far from being a potion expert, but I honestly believe that your love potion works perfectly.”
What?
He smiled faintly and turned back to the castle, leaving you puzzled and pensive. You didn’t say what kind of potion it was… How did he know?
Lost in thought, you barely reacted when the Slytherin team patted you on the back, thanking you for the cookies, on the way back to celebrate their victory.
Then, it hit you. You ran past the team when they arrived at the stairs, almost tripping over your feet. In your search for your best friend, you bumped into Subin in the Entrance Hall, walking towards the Great Hall.
“Subin?” you called, stopping in front of him. “Are you okay?”
“Never better. You?” Here it was. The genuine and cute smile.
“I’m okay. I don’t really know how to say this but… um…”
“You can tell me anything,” he assured.
“O—okay. I like… you.”
“You mean…” You nodded. He was confused for a few seconds. “Oh. I’m so sorry Y/N, I’m flattered but I don’t feel the same way.”
“Oh, I thought, you know, because you’re always smiling at me…”
“I’m a smiley giggling idiot, that’s for sure. But I’m like that with basically everyone. I’m sorry.” You knew he was genuine, and it somehow made the rejection more bearable.
“It’s alright, I feel better now that I told you.”
Awkward silence —especially on your part.
“You remember earlier when I said I had to talk to someone? Well, it was Chaeyoung. I like her and I don’t know, I just felt the urge to tell her.”
Oh.
“About that…”
“Yes?”
“It’s my fault. There was a love potion that makes you realize your feelings of some sort in the cookie. I wanted to see if you liked me without creating any false feelings. I’m so sorry, I… I shouldn’t have done that,” you muttered, staring at your shoes and picking at your clothes.
“… I see. Thank you for telling me. It’s unconventional for sure, but, thanks to you, I shot my shot.”
You felt like he only reacted that way because he was still under the effects of the potion and you hoped he wouldn’t hate you once it wore off.
“How did it go?”
“She said she liked me too. We’re going on a date tomorrow at Madam Puddifoot’s Tea Shop.”
“I’m happy for you. Honestly,” you smiled. If he wasn’t going to be happy with you, at least he would be with Chaeyoung, and who were you to hate them or try to change that?
“Thank you, and I’m sorry I can’t return your feelings.”
“No, please, don’t apologize, no one can control those.”
“Not that it changes anything, but I always thought you and Changbin were a thing.”
Wha–
“We’re just best friends.”
“I believe you,” he smiled then reassuringly squeezed your shoulder before finally entering the Great Hall.
You stayed there for a hot minute, mindlessly staring in the distance. Then did the stupidest thing you could do: avoid Changbin, and clearly not tell him about what just happened with Subin.
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
A week later, the last match of the season opposing Gryffindor and Ravenclaw ended with Ravenclaw’s victory 420 to 310. Despite this win, Gryffindor won the Quidditch Cup with 910 points. Ravenclaw was close behind with 880 points, Slytherin next with 770 and then Hufflepuff with 470.
Chan made sure to tell Changbin how he was right about his house winning (see Jeongin’s) and when Changbin didn’t seem to hear, he asked what was wrong.
“Y/N is avoiding me.”
“What? Why?”
“Last week, they made a potion… for their crush, and I tasted it. It felt like my love for them only grew stronger —which I thought impossible—, and it made me want to scream how much I loved them. I stopped myself, of course, and that’s the last time we spoke.”
“Tough. Have you tried speaking to them?”
“You’re asking this as if it didn’t cross my mind in a whole week.”
“Mh… Bitter failure, then. Well, you’re in luck! I know a guy who knows a friend of Y/N.”
“I’m afraid to ask where this nonsense is going.”
“Hush. Just say the word and Y/N will probably listen to you.”
This was awfully mysterious. “Probably? How would you do that?”
“That’s for me to deal with and you to be ignorant about. So?”
Changbin sighed deeply, wondering what he did in his past life to deserve such a weird friend. “Okay. Thanks, Chan.”
“No problem, man. Just be in your common room before dinner tonight.
A whole week without speaking to your best friend was pretty hard, but trying not to crumble under tons of homework was harder. To this, Donghyun was a valuable friend. He helped you with every subject you had in common, which was really thoughtful of him.
“So, that’s why reparo can only work on non-edible objects,” your fellow housemate finished as you wrote down the end of his speech.
“Donghyun, you have no idea how thankful I am.” You put down your quill and threw your head back under the laughter of your friend.
“You say that every day.”
“And I mean it every time!”
“That’s kind of you. Tomorrow, same time?” he proposed as he suddenly got up, putting his stuff in his backpack.
“Sure…” you replied, looking at him suspiciously. He never acted like this before.
“Sorry, I have to go. Bye,” he waved at you then left the common room quickly.
Wondering why he left so abruptly, you didn’t notice someone else sitting next to you.
“Hey… Are you mad at me?”
The question taking you aback, you didn’t have it in you to flee again.
“Of course not, Binnie. I’m just embarrassed.”
“Why’s that?”
“Do I really have to remind you?”
He gave you a weak smile. “No…”
“I’m sorry for avoiding you. You didn’t do anything wrong,” you said as you played with the hem of your robe.
“Why did you, then?”
You sighed. “Subin doesn’t like me.”
“I’m sorry, Y/N.”
“Oh, don’t be. Some people are meant to stay unloved.” Changbin would’ve laughed at your dramatics, but it was a serious matter —for him at least.
“Uh, that’s not true. I believe everyone’s loved, it’s just that some don’t act on it.”
“Why?”
“… They’re scared of rejection. Or they have too much pride. They don’t want to ruin a friendship. They’d rather see the other happy with someone else than try to change how the person they love feels about them.”
Suspicious.
Oh, right. The reason why he knew it was a love potion: he liked someone.
“You seem to have thought about it a lot. Do you have feelings for someone, Binnie?”
“N—no, of course not.” The red of his cheeks told a different story.
“And you never knew how to lie. I’ll find out, loverboy.”
“I don’t like anyone!” he tried.
“Nah, I don’t buy that.”
“Would you look at that,” he looked at his watch, “it’s time for dinner.”
He regretted saying that the second he sat at the Slytherin table.
“Minho, do you know who Binnie likes? He denies it but I know he does.”
Minho gave a pointed look at your best friend but the latter just looked away.
“I don’t know,” he shrugged. “Someone from your year probably.”
Changbin widened his eyes at Minho who didn’t give away any expression because you were looking at him.
“I knew it! Binnie, you sneaky imp, you won’t even tell your best friend!”
“I have my reasons,” he muttered as he avoided your gaze.
“What, is it Tzuyu?”
“No, no.”
“Wooyoung, then?”
“Uh, no.”
“Yeonjun?!”
“No!”
Minho deadpanned as you kept throwing names. You were so oblivious that it was painful for the two boys. Changbin was stammering but you could tell he was being sincere.
“Which house?” you asked Minho, knowing Changbin wouldn’t tell.
He hesitated. Their eyes met and they had a whole unspoken conversation. Finally, Minho turned to you.
“Slytherin.”
Happy, you scanned the table to see who it could be. “I’ll find out sooner or later!”
“Try a mirror,” Changbin wanted to tell you.
Desperately wanting to change the subject, he announced: “I think I’ll try out for the beater position next year.”
Right, it was Yugeom and Jeongguk’s last year at Hogwarts.
“It’s true you’re getting buff,” you commented, mindlessly feeling his arm with your fingers.
His face became so red, Minho laughed for a good minute after that, much to Changbin’s embarrassment and your confusion. “What did I do?”
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
On a warm day of June, Changbin finally had enough. He had to let you know about his feelings.
He lowkey regretted not making you eat your own cookies back in May, and he couldn’t brew the potion himself, because he wasn’t fond of that subject. You were the genius there, not him.
The best way to make you realize your own feelings —friendship or love for him, any was fine but he had to know— was to ask you.
What, you thought he was gonna give an elaborate plan?
Changbin wasn’t the type to plan. He would cut to the chase and be honest. He hoped you would be too.
He had a small smile on his face while waiting for you in the common room. It widened when his eyes fell on your frame, then fell seeing Donghyun walking through the door after you. It wasn’t part of the plan image of your conversation he created in his mind.
To be fair, when asked to come, you said you were coming soon, but didn’t specify with who or what you were going to do. Now it was clear that the subject of your ‘visit’ was working on essays with your favorite tutor.
Fighting it was useless, Changbin’s jealousy was here to stay. He watched as you both sat at the large table in the middle of the room, putting your stuff out and starting to work on defense against the dark arts. He came closer, until you spotted him and shot him your best smile.
His heart pounded at this simple gesture. “Binnie! Come, we’re doing our essay on ghouls. Have you finished it?”
“Of course,” he answered, trying to sound smug, but the look of adoration you gave him weakened him, and he swallowed with difficulty.
Donghyun chuckled a bit at the scene, resulting in your best friend shooting him a glare. You could only amusedly smile at Changbin before reporting your attention to your parchment. He sat across from you, handing you his own neatly written essay.
“Don’t copy word for word,” he demanded as he crossed his arms over his chest before resting them on the table.
“I will only add the few facts I missed,” you promised, suddenly feeling shy under his gaze, a blush creeping up on your cheeks and ears. Your parchment seemed not filled enough.
You worked for about two hours with Donghyun and your best friend was there the whole time, watching you guys write and helping here and there when he could. After your friend left under your thanks to go with other friends, Changbin took his place next to you, and fixed his robe’s sleeves.
“I need to ask you something.”
He seemed nervous, you noted. “I’m all ears.”
Here goes nothing.
“Do you still like Subin?”
Sorry, what? “Huh? Why do you ask?”
“Just curious,” he shrugged, but you noticed the blush creeping up his cheeks.
“No.”
“Okay… do you like anyone else?”
“Yes.”
He swallowed audibly. “Who is the lucky one?”
“I’ll tell you if you tell me.” Here was your chance to discover if your early conversation with Donghyun was true.
“Tell you what?”
“Who you like.”
There was no escaping this, so he gulped and nodded, “Okay.”
You counted to three, and both said: “you.”
“Me?” Changbin’s eyes widened. “What do you mean?”
“How thick is your damn skull? I mean I love you.”
“Wh– You…” You used the L word!!!! “You’re one to talk! I’ve loved you for years and you’ve never figured it out!”
“It’s true, I’ve been pretty clueless. But! Donghyun and I–” Changbin slightly grimaced at the name. “talked on our way here and he told me how everyone around us thought we were together,” you pointed a finger to the both of you, “him included.”
“Oh…”
You faced the table, reflecting on your oblivious actions.
“Subin too, by the way.”
“Y/N,” he softly called.
“So yeah, I guess I’m the last person to realize my feelings like a stupid kid.”
“Y/N.”
“I’m sorry it took me this long, but hey, at least now you know.”
“Y/N!” he said firmly.
“Yeah?”
“Everyone is watching us right now…”
Indeed, as you looked around, you saw Slytherins of various years talking to each other, their eyes on you both. Your dramatic self had to say something.
“Oh I’m sorry, did you guys think this was a reality show? Are our lives that interesting compared to your boring ones? You better go elsewhere before my boyfriend and I hex the shit out of y’all!”
They quickly cleared out the room, some rolling their eyes and others with an amused smile on their faces. Minho came into view, displaying a knowing smirk as he walked to you. Changbin was as red as a rubis, shocked by what you just called him.
“Took you long enough, Y/N.”
Realization hit, your face and ears burned as you avoided facing any of the boys.
“Shut up, Minho.”

the boyz as hogwarts students; maknae line
Tumblr media
☾ this is purely based on my own knowledge about harry potter, the hogwarts universe and what thoughts and impressions i may have about the boyz members. It is also and slightly based on kevin’s answers to a fan and a friend’s impression on the boyz that also knows a lot about harry potter;
☾ maybe there’s things that are not really canon on the hogwarts universe, but i think i could have some artistic license for my own au, right?
☾ you can read hyung line here and 98' line here!
☾ thank you all for reading my stuff, i hope you’ll like it! please, do not forget to give me some feedback ♡

JUHAKNYEON
Tumblr media
house: gryffindor patronus: chestnut mare blood status: half blood pet: black cat best subject: potions and transfiguration worst subject: astronomy
Proudest Gryffindor to ever exist;
It took seconds for the Sorting Hat to place him into Gryffindor;
Everything, for him, is red and gold. He’s bedroom back at home is probably decorated in those colors;
He’s super clever and loves studying. The type who’s going read about his classes or practice charms and transfigurations out of boredom;
Loves Gryffindor’s common room, so it easy to find him always hanging out around the fireplace;
He’s cute and fun to be around, but do not annoy or mess with him, because he can be pretty savage.
He’s brave and has the guts to do anything he has to do;
He’s kinda popular around his house because he’s one of the youngest (and most adorable) in his friends group.
SUNWOO
Tumblr media
house: slytherin patronus: golden retriever blood status: half blood pet: black rat best subject: charms and defense against the dark arts worst subject: divination
HATES divination. Spent an entire month making up weird dreams just to write an essay. How the hell was he supposed to make a Diary of His Dreams if he didn’t even remember them?
Freaking good at quidditch. He’s competitive;
Oh, and he’s the keeper;
He’s a pro at flirting. He dates a lot. Breaks a lot of hearts too;
Kinda of a troublemaker… Precedes Fred and George's legacy when he’s with Eric (and Changmin too);
Can be pretty mean and intimidating if he wants. Start fights when annoyed. Mainly because some people of his house can be little shits about him being a half blood Slytherin;
He couldn’t care less about this pure blood shit that goes on his house though;
He’s protective of half blood and muggle borns;
He’ll be kind and super soft just to those he knows that deserve it.
ERIC
Tumblr media
house: ravenclaw patronus: unicorn blood status: muggle born pet: hedgehog best subject: astronomy and charms worst subject: arithmancy
So so so good at wizards chess;
Doesn’t care about sitting on other houses table’s during meals though, because his group of friends consists in too many boys from all of the houses;
Sticks to his friends, is super loyal and will do anything to protect them;
Pair up with Sunwoo (and sometimes they both tag along with changmin) to prank his friends;
The type to sneak out at night to explore the castle and get into trouble;
Most of the time it seems like there’s some brain cells missing. But trust me, he’s just a freaking uncomprehended genius;
Values studies because he wants to make his parents proud;
Just like Changmin, he does weird muggle things/comments, but everyone thinks he’s adorable!
He’s a happy virus, so Hogwarts halls are never silent or sad when he’s around.

Love Notes
Tumblr media
Summary: People usually mistake Slytherins as the mean and nasty ones. Nobody told you that you would be stuck with the loud and obnoxious boy from Gryffindor. One day during your fifth year, you started receiving anonymous notes in your books, pockets, table, etc. The question is, who gave them to you?
Theme: Hogwarts au, enemies to lovers
Genre: fluff, angst [not really]
Warnings: none
WC: 4.9k
Pairing: Gryffindor!Haknyeon x Slytherin!FemReader
a/n: Hi again :) I've been binge watching Harry Potter movies for the past few days and I love it so much. So here's a little Hogwarts fic with Hakkie! Do send me requests if you have any! I'm open to writing them :)
Tumblr media
Going to Hogwarts was probably the best thing to happen to you. And getting yourself sorted into Slytherin house was also the best thing to ever happen to you. Except, nobody told you that you would have a horrendous time being in the same classes as the loud and obnoxious boy from Gryffindor.
His name?
Was Ju Haknyeon.
Tumblr media
“Did you lose your way to class again today?” Haknyeon teased when you arrived at your seat that just so happens to be right in front of him. You were in your fifth year and yet he has never once gone a day without getting on a single nerve on your body.
“Did you lose your pacifier on your way here cause you can’t seem to keep your mouth shut.” You scowled at him only to earn a soft chuckle from him.
“Look who’s talking now…” Haknyeon smirks, earning a kick to his desk from you. Your seat partner and also one of your close friends, Wooyoung couldn’t help but roll his eyes at the said boy.
Professor Snape finally dismissed the class as everyone quickly scrambled out of the room. You were walking with Wooyoung and Yeosang as the former began rambling about his terrible date yesterday when you suddenly felt an arm over your shoulder. The last person you hoped for it to be, ends up proving you wrong the minute he spoke.
“Hey hey, have you practiced for the Quidditch game this season? Wouldn’t wanna lose your Quidditch title to other houses.” Haknyeon whispered into your ear, making you push his face away.
“Do you ever shut up?” You said as he smirked, casually pursing his lips into a kissy face.
You rolled your eyes at him, elbowing his stomach to make him leave your side. Haknyeon left your side for a brief moment before coming back to you to stop in front of you while leaning down a little to match your height. Once he was right in front of you, he smirked cheekily at you.
“I won’t shut up when I’m with you, darling.” He whispered.
You cupped his face with both hands, only to lean in to let your lips hover over his as you whispered under your breath, “Don’t make me do it for you, sweetheart.” The moment you pulled away from him and began to walk away, Haknyeon could’ve sworn he felt his heart skip a few beats.
Tumblr media
“Now, class, please open to page 367.” Professor McGonagall announced as you heard the sounds of pages being turned. You did the same, flipping the pages a few at a time until a slip of note drops out from your book. It was a pretty blue colour that has been folded into the shape of a flower.
“Did you put this in my book?” You asked Wooyoung who was seated beside you, only for him to shake his head. Just then, a voice came from behind you.
“Oh look, the Slytherin’s princess got herself a love note.” Haknyeon said. It annoyed you to the point where you had to cast a spell on him from under your desk to shut him up for 2 hours. A few weeks have gone by and you have been getting anonymous notes slipped into your textbooks, locker, and sometimes even in your coat pockets.
However, all the notes always end up in your bag, never touched or read before.
It was a Thursday afternoon and you were just walking into your Transfiguration class when a female student from Hufflepuff came up to you giddily excited as she informed you what she saw.
“Omg Y/N! Someone gave you a rose and a letter! It’s on your desk!” She squeaked, allowing a couple of eyes to land on you, who was standing at the back of the class with Wooyoung and Yeosang. With that being said, you glanced over to your desk to find that she was right.
However, you noticed that Haknyeon’s table was empty. Maybe he finally got sick and couldn’t come to class today.
“The Slytherin’s princess got a gift today huh? That’s new.”
Maybe not.
Haknyeon said casually as he strolls past you with his hands tucked into his pant’s pockets while he makes his way over to his desk. You rolled your eyes at the back of his head before walking up to your desk and soon took the rose and note only to stuff it in your bag.
“Why don’t you read it outloud for all of us to hear, darling? I’m sure your admirer would love to see the way your eyes turn into heart shapes for them.” Haknyeon smirked.
You couldn’t lie, Haknyeon has in fact gotten slightly more manlier in built and also a bit more nicer looking in terms of his face features.
Which is why you’d be damned if you admitted out loud that your heart did a little flip when he smirked at you.
“The last person I’d wanna read it aloud to is you so no, that won’t happen.” You grumbled before sitting down at your desk. Wooyoung couldn’t help but chuckle as he told you about Haknyeon's offended face he made after you said that.
A few hours later, everyone was making their way back to their common rooms after dinner. You were just walking towards the Slytherin’s common room when Felix spoke up to you, “Hey, is it true you’ve been getting love notes from someone in class?”
“I don’t know what they are, I’ve never opened them.” You confessed, earning a few gasps from your friends.
“Aren’t you even a slight bit curious?” Minho asked.
“Look, I doubt it’s even real. It might just be a prank from someone. I don’t know…” You said almost confidently.
“Oh come on, just open one and see what it says. It doesn’t hurt to read one.” Wooyoung encouraged you as you rolled your eyes at him. It was already after hours. Everyone was asleep except you. So you quietly tip-toed your way to the living area, only to sit near the green fireplace with your bag filled with the notes you kept for the past 5 weeks. You took one of the notes out and soon unfolded it one after another.
“You look pretty today.”
“Your eyes sparkle like the green flames of your house.”
“You make me forget why I’m in this class.”
“Your smile could cure my sadness.”
“If only the clouds would make way for a sunshine like you”
“Don’t lose that smile, it’s the prettiest thing I’ve ever seen”
“Are you a love potion? Cause I feel like I’ve fallen in love with you”
You then happened to take out the note that was attached to the rose you got earlier in which it said;
“A pretty flower for a pretty girl like you.”
And the list goes on and on as you read them. However, one thing you noticed was the lack of initials, leaving these notes anonymous.
“Who are you?”
This question swirls in your head as you keep these notes in a little treasure chest your mom gave you for your 15th birthday.
Tumblr media
You were on your way to the Quidditch field to play for the Quidditch Tournament with your team members. Upon making it to the courtyard, you just so happen to bump into Haknyeon. You noticed the Red and Gold striped sweater, along with his pants and a cloak in contrast to your full Quidditch attire together with the arms and leg gears.
“Hey guys, mind if I steal ‘yours truly’ for a moment? I promise I’ll bring her back to you guys in one whole.” Haknyeon smiles innocently to your friends, earning a few snickers from them but they nonetheless left you alone with him.
Once they were out of sight, you turned to him with a frown.
“What do you want now, Ju? And make it quick. I have a game to win.” You snapped, earning a chuckle from him.
“Relax beasty, I won’t hold you back for long.”
“So what do you want?”
“You know this is a seasonal championship right?”
“And?”
“And this year’s winner will be titled the Season’s Champion, yes?”
“O...kay?” You raised an eyebrow at him in question, not sure where this conversation was heading to.
“So let’s make a bet.”
You started to laugh as you clutched your stomach, afraid of growing six packs while you did that. Unfortunately, you didn’t get the same response from him which made you confused and eventually stopped.
“A bet? You wanna make a bet? Sure. You’ll only be crying at the end of it cause Slytherin’s gonna take the prize home.”
“Hmm, I wouldn’t be so sure if I were you. So let’s make a bet.” Haknyeon urges you again, to which you couldn’t help but agree just so you could prove him wrong.
“Fine. If Slytherin wins, you’re gonna leave me alone for the rest of the year.” You said.
“And if Gryffindor wins, you have to go on 3 dates with me.” He announced. You weren’t gonna lie, you were a little shocked by his proposal but you didn’t want to back out now so you shook hands on it.
“Deal.”
Tumblr media
“Choi Jongho has gotten the snitch! Gryffindor wins!” Lee Jordan, the commentator from Gryffindor announced as you slammed your fist onto your broomstick. You’ve lost a few times before throughout your 5 years in Hogwarts but today was a little different as you had your bet with Haknyeon hanging by a thread.
You were floating about 10 feet away from Gryffindor’s stand, your gaze naturally fleeting to the left only to lock eyes with the blonde haired devil from Gryffindor who had a smirk on his face before he mouthed something so clear to you.
“I win.”
You couldn’t even respond to him so you simply flew down and back into your pitch tent along with the rest of your teammates. After you were done with post-game preps, you all began to make your way back to your common rooms.
It wasn’t until you were at the grand staircase that you bumped into Haknyeon and his friends. He gave you a cheeky little wink before snapping his fingers and soon, you felt a slip of paper magically appear in your hands.
You kept it in your hands until you went back, only opening it when you were in your bed.
“Nice game. I hope you don’t forget about our bet. See you at Three Broomsticks Inn, this Saturday. 12pm. Don’t be late. Oh, and, wear prettily ;) - JHN”
You were definitely in for a treat.
Tumblr media
The day finally came as you made an excuse to your friends saying you couldn’t go with them to Hogsmeade because you promised to help Ginny with her Muggle studies. The minute they left, you got upstairs to change out of your pyjamas and into some comfortable jeans, a sweater, a denim jacket and a pair of worn out sneakers.
You teleported to Hogsmeade using the Floo Powder your mom gave you just in case you needed to rush home due to an emergency.
You arrived at a dark alley in Hogsmeade, making sure your friends weren’t around before you left the safety of that alley. Carefully walking past some villagers, you found your way to the Inn without getting caught. With one gentle push of the wooden door, you were immediately greeted by the bustling customers.
You looked around the room to find for the devil who shall not be named and Lord Behold, he waves over to you from one of the tables across the room. You almost lost your footing when you saw what he wore.
It was almost as if he knew what you were going to wear. He was wearing black pants with a denim jacket. Simple yet so good looking.
You went over to him only to sit on his left where it was nearer to the edge of the semi circle couch.
“You’re late, you know?” Haknyeon laughs.
“Yeah but I’m here aren’t I?” You scoffed softly under your breath, earning a little giggle from him.
“On our first date too? You’re a terrible one.” He joked.
“Fine then. Go find someone who’s on time for your date, maybe they’ll actually arrive earlier than you.” Right before you could slide out of the seat, Haknyeon gently grabs your wrist to stop you.
“Relax, I’m just kidding… Come on, butterbeer on me. Deal?” He asked, shaking his wallet in between his fingers as though telling you he really meant it when he said he’ll pay for it.
Of course you couldn’t let this moment up, which is why you agreed to it. Unfortunately, right before he could slide out the opposite end of the table, your eyes flew over to the front doors where the bell chimed indicating a customer. That’s when you saw your friends walking in and you could’ve sworn they would see you in a matter of seconds if they just turned to the left slightly.
“Oh shit!” You cursed as you grabbed hold of Haknyeon’s collar only to drag him out of the table and soon towards the back. Haknyeon was a little taken aback by your sudden aggression as he began to ask you a series of questions.
You quickly pulled him behind one of the pillars, shoving him against the concrete wall as you peeked past the pillar.
“Okay, if you want to kill me, at least do it when we’re in private.” He teased you.
“Shut up. My friends are here. I lied to them saying I can’t join them.” You whispered, trying to see if your friends wouldn’t make it to the back. What you didn’t realize was the way Haknyeon was discreetly checking you out.
“You know, for a Slytherin, you’re not as sly as you think you are. What makes you think they can’t figure out it’s you from a dist-”
“Kiss me.”
You suddenly spoke as he stared at you with wide eyes. He almost couldn’t believe his ears when you said that.
“What?”
“I said kiss me!” You loudly whispered but your eyes were frantically flickering back and forth to something behind him.
However, right before you could yell at him, you felt him snaking his right arm around your waist while the other hand reached up to cup your cheek, pulling you into a soft and gentle kiss. You fluttered your eyelids close as he turned you so that his back would be facing the open area while your smaller form gets shielded from the public eye.
You could hear your friend’s voices getting closer and closer and eventually made their way past Haknyeon’s back. You could’ve sworn you heard some of them snicker and scoff at your unknown presence.
Once they are gone, Haknyeon pulls back from you with the softest sound as he caresses your cheek for a moment.
Suddenly your heart was picking up speed against your chest. You locked eyes with him for a second or two, feeling him tilt his head slightly to make his lips brush over yours again purposely before pulling away completely.
“I reckon we should leave?” He chuckled, making you nod.
“Yes please.”
With that being said, he let you leave the hiding spot first, making sure he used his body to block you from unwanted view.
A few hours passed where he took you to a few of his favourite shops in Hogsmeade, including some personal spots around town where he usually goes when he needs space to be by himself. You were now making your way back to the castle as you both managed to not quarrel for more than a minute of being with each other.
You must admit, it was nice getting to know Haknyeon better instead of fighting with him like usual.
It has been four days since your first date with Haknyeon and again, you still received the notes. This time, it said;
“You’re cute. Can I keep you?”
With that, you couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle.
“What? Did the person who gave you those letters finally revealed himself?” Wooyoung asked from beside you, only for you to show him the note.
“No, but isn’t it tiring to keep thinking of cheesy love notes to write almost everyday?” You whispered to him upon hearing Professor McGonagall enter the class.
“Well, I would say this person is totally head over heels for you to even write these from day 1.” Wooyoung speaks utter nonsense most of the time, but maybe he made some sense today.
Tumblr media
You were on your second date with Haknyeon, as he promised to take you on a ride. What ride might I ask? Not just any ride. He was taking you on a ride on a Hippogriff.
“Are you sure we won’t get in trouble for this? I really don’t want to be expelled.” You warned him as he laughed at you.
“Aren’t you being a little too goody two shoes for a Slytherin?” Haknyeon teased, only to get a good slap to his arm from you.
“Say anything stupid again and I swear you’ll be the one swimming in the lake with the damn Lochness.” You threatened as he raised his arms in a surrender but there was a wide grin on his face. Something you’ve grown to adore these days.
With that, he soon hops on the magical creature easily, leaving you nervous. Haknyeon had his hand extended out for you to take but you were afraid.
“Y/N come on, we don’t have forever!” He said.
“What if I fall?” You panicked but you ended up unconsciously whining, making him giggle.
“I won’t let you fall. I promise. Now come on, darling.” Haknyeon jerks his hand to you again, only for you to stare at it for a bit before you finally take his hand into yours. He easily pulled you up and onto the animal’s back. You sat in front of him while you gently grabbed onto the creature’s neck, being careful that you don’t accidentally harm it.
“Okay Buckbeak, show us whatchu got.” Haknyeon said as he gave the creature a few pats to its belly and soon, the creature took off flying into the sky. You let out a scream, hugging the neck tightly while Haknyeon holds onto nothing.
He clearly had more experience than you in terms of flying on this creature’s back.
You had your eyes closed the entire time even when you felt the smooth glide across the air. Still being stubborn to open your eyes, you felt him tap your shoulders.
“Y/N come on! Open your eyes! You’re missing out on the view!” His voice sounded so excited behind you, it almost made you believe it wasn’t the same boy who has been a living nuisance to you all these while.
“No way! I’m just gonna panic even more if I see how high we are!” You yelled over the loud gush of wind that might be rendering your hearing.
“I promise we’ll be fine, just open your eyes! Trust me!” Haknyeon reassured you as you felt him gently slide his hands down your arms and onto your wrist to pull them away from the creature’s neck. You shook your head desperately, hoping he’d leave you alone. Unfortunately for you, he didn’t.
Instead, he thought it would be a good idea to scare you. Maybe that way you’ll finally open your eyes.
And you did.
Because the minute you heard him yell for help, you immediately opened your eyes and turned around only to find him seated firmly on Buckbeak’s back with his arms crossed over his chest.
“You bloody piece of shit!” You huffed in annoyance as you turned back around only for Buckbeak to playfully tilt his body up to make you fall back slightly. That’s when a string of curses left your lips while you desperately grabbed onto its neck.
“Don’t do that Buckbeak!” You scolded the animal, only to get a little sound from him. Just then, Haknyeon decides to challenge you.
“Wanna know what it feels to fly?”
“Uhh, no?”
“It’ll be fun. Here.” Haknyeon said as he slowly reached over to grab your wrists while his firm chest softly pressed against your back but for some reason, it made you feel some sort of safety.
“W-What are you doing?” You stuttered, only for him to smile and soon spoke into your ears leaving a soft tingling feel to your skin.
“Just trust me.”
With that being said, he gently spreads your arms out on either side of you, making them act like wings for you. As Buckbeak glided through the air, you imagined you were flying until you heard him whisper into your ear, “Close your eyes.”
You did as he said, only for it to enhance the imagination. A smile naturally appears on your lips as you completely didn’t see the way he was staring at you from beside you. Ignoring the way his hands found your waist and left it there for the rest of the ride.
Tumblr media
It was your third and final date for the bet you made with him. For some odd reason, you didn’t want it to end but of course you couldn’t tell him that. So when you met him at the lake, you looked slightly down and he noticed. Haknyeon wouldn’t let this slide easily which is why he decided to tease you about it.
“What’s with the long face, darling? Already attached to me?”
You scoffed as you approached him by the swing only for you to take a seat at the wooden plank beside his seated figure on the grass patch.
“So what? This was just for the bet anyway.” You mumbled under your breath, not realizing that he heard you.
The next few minutes went by like how your previous dates went. Constant teasing, playful jokes and banter, friendly chats and even random fights that involve you throwing a handful of dead leaves at him while he scoops water from the lake and proceeds to toss it at you.
At the end of this short date, you had just arrived at the end of the wooden bridge when he wraps his fingers around your wrist to stop you from walking any further.
“I just remembered I promised my friends I’d meet them at the Three Broomsticks Inn in like 5 minutes so I have to leave you from here on.” He said.
“Right…” You said, your voice sounded a little sad.
“I guess the bet’s over. Thanks… for... well, going on the dates with me.” Haknyeon said, eyes flickering back and forth between your eyes and the wooden panels behind you.
“A bet’s a bet right? I’d be a wimp if I didn’t do it.” You smiled.
There was a beat of awkward silence as you got ready to leave when he said something that made your stomach flip.
“That’s it? No goodbye kiss? I thought this was a date?” Haknyeon pouted, keeping his gaze on you as stable as possible. You almost couldn’t believe your ears.
Did he just ask you for a kiss?
“I… Umm… Okay?” You stuttered in confusion, earning a soft little giggle from him.
However, the nerves soon disappear the minute he takes a step closer and soon wraps one hand around your waist while the other cups your face before he leans down to let his lips seal yours. You instantly fluttered your eyes shut, letting your hands rest on his chest.
The kiss felt so genuine, you almost forgot how you used to fight with this same boy 24/7. Haknyeon smiled against your lips as he pulled back for air shortly before kissing you again.
His lips were intoxicating, you almost forgot how to breathe. Haknyeon gives you a cheeky little lick to your bottom lip as he soon pulls away from you, leaving you breathless. You pressed your forehead softly against his as you kept your eyes shut, too embarrassed to look at him at this point.
His chuckle fills your ears as he cups your face with both hands and whispers against your lips.
“Go. Be safe. Avoid the common grounds, that’s where Filch always lurks around.” Soon after, he gave your lips another peck before you felt wind whooshing around you. Immediately, his touch left you and it almost made you crumble to the ground.
What did he do to you?
Tumblr media
A few days later, you were just having lunch with everyone else at their respective house tables and your friends surrounded you when you saw a note slipping past from under your plate. A pretty baby blue one that is. You carefully unfolded it, only to see it read;
“I realized I was thinking of you, and I began to wonder how long you’ve been on my mind. Then it occurred to me: Since the day I met you, you’ve never left.”
For some reason, those words meant something to you.
It was as though you knew this person and have created some sort of a bond with them. And yet, you still don’t know who. However, you do now have a little suspicion on who it was and who these notes belonged to. So to test your theory, you looked up from your table, almost immediately catching the eyes of the same pair of brown ones you’ve grown accustomed to.
Haknyeon was already staring like he knew you were going to find him. What surprised you the most is the fact that he didn’t even flinch when you caught him.
You held eye contact for a second before you got cut off by Wooyoung putting a scoopful of mashed potatoes onto your plate. You gave the boy a little smack to his head, earning a choke from him. When you looked back over to Haknyeon, he was already talking to his friend with the back of his head facing you.
A few hours later, you were having your Potions class when a note popped out of nowhere from under your book. To avoid getting minus points from Snape, you quickly shoved the note into your cloak pocket and yet you still got called by the Head of Slytherin for not paying attention.
Therefore, having to serve detention.
You could only curse him in your head while you cleaned every single flask and cauldron pots till they were spick and span.
Once you were done, you left the room only to find Haknyeon leaning against the wall with one leg bent to rest his foot on the wall. He was busy playing with his Patronus charm when his eyes flicked up upon hearing the door open.
“Haknyeon? What are you doing here? Don’t we have Transfiguration right now?” You loudly whispered as you approached him only to drag him towards the end where you were hidden from Snape’s office door. Once you were hiding behind the pillar, you turned to peek past the wall with Haknyeon right in front of you.
The hallway was empty thanks to the classes going on currently but that doesn’t mean you were free from not being caught out of class.
“I told Professor McGonagall I’m having stomach aches so she excused me to go to the hospital wing.” Haknyeon explained, only for you to frown.
“And why were you waiting outside Snape’s office, might I ask?”
“To see you.”
“You couldn’t wait till I come to class?” You asked with a slight tease in your voice.
“Needed to see you right after detention, so that I could do this.”
With that being said, he easily captures you into a kiss. You sighed through your nose as you cupped his neck to pull him closer to you. Haknyeon wraps his arms around your waist, letting himself trap you against the wall and his body. You changed your head positions to be at a slightly more comfortable state, feeling him squeeze your sides.
Just then, he pulled away for a breath, making it easy for you to slip in the question.
“All those notes were from you, weren’t they?”
Haknyeon grew quiet for a moment but then decided to just come clean with you. After all, that’s what he has been wanting to do anyway.
“Are you disappointed?”
“I would be if you told me this 4 weeks ago… But now? Not so much.” You smiled.
“Really?” He asked.
“Would I do this if I was disappointed?” You asked only to kiss him again. Haknyeon smirks against your lips as you feel him lift you up and spin you around. When he placed you back down, he gave you a peck on the lips and soon spoke up.
“Should I stop giving you notes then?”
“Go ahead. Cause I’ve already won the prize.”
“You sure have.”

The first time that you saw Jacob Bae was five years ago in your first year potions class. He was never very gifted in that art, so you offered to help during an expierment. While he was busy thanking you his attention seemed to wander, perhaps to the crooked knot of your tie, or to the mismatched pattern of your socks that were peaking over your shoes. Maybe the way that you donned the same golden robes as him yet you’d never met. Whatever it was, his hand slipped and poured the contents of a black vial straight into his cauldron.
The two of you stared at each other dumbstruck and speechless. He began to creep slowly toward the cauldron when a loud boom sounded over the classroom. A blue puff of smoke followed, and when you looked back to the boy that you were supposed to help there was soot in his eyebrows and flame singing the very ends of his hair. You’ve made countless more memories since then, like when he said he wanted to show you something in the castle and then got lost on the staircases. Or when you bought him his first ever exploding bon bon and he screamed so loud after it popped that a prefect had to come up to the dorms and check on you. He often brings chocolate frogs to quidditch games just for them to hop out of his hands and in between the bleachers.
Though you have to admit, most of your favorite moments with Jacob are shared here. In the back of the three broomsticks, sitting on the same side of the table, and staring out of a large window. You often bring homework to work on, or letters to write. One time you brought a mini burner to refine your honors potions work.
Today is quiet, however. You’re sharing a butterbeer while looking at the freshly fallen snow from your window. Jacobs been imitating the birds chirping for a while as you rambled on about the triwizard tournament challenges, an event that’s currently overtaken your school. You tell him that the contestant from durmstrang is taking the ravenclaw prefects sister to the yule ball, and he laughs a little bit. You didn’t think it was all that funny.
“A-are you going to the yule ball?” He asks, voice scratchy and cheeks blushing red in a way that you know all too well. You’ve seen this blush before, when your chest would press against his back as you assisted him with homework in the library, or when you sat at the edge of the forbidden forest for an afternoon and you plucked a flower from the grass so that you could tuck it behind his ear.
“I was planning on it, my mom’s sending me a dress from home and all of that stuff.” Silence settles over your table as the birds continue to chirp. Jacob doesn’t bother to imitate them.
“Are you... I don’t know, going with anyone?” His voice is gentle the way that it always is. You’re scared to tell him no. You’re scared that he’ll only ask you because it’s convenient.
“I’m not, but I figured that we’d go together.” He nods shortly before looking out the window. You follow his eyes until they land on a small yellow bird that’s perched on a low hanging branch. When it shakes out its wings snow falls from the leaves and Jacob starts to pick the skin around his cuticles, “Right?”
“Right! I just... I don’t want to go as friends.” He looks back at you with a face that resembles the confused one that you met in first year potions so long ago. Eyebrows lightly furrowed, lips quirked into an apolegtic grin, teeth worrying the inside of his cheek. You’re drawing nearer to him, you don’t know how. You don’t know why.
“What do want to go as instead?” The tip of your nose brushes his as you ask. He inhales a shaky breath, eyelids fluttering shut. You think that he looks pretty like this. You think that he always looks pretty.
“Don’t make me say it.” When he talks his breath smells of butterscotch and cream. You move ever so slightly closer, hands maneuvering to wrap around his neck while your knees knock together clumsily.
“Then show me.” He waits for a moment, but when he finally does kiss you it’s gentle. His hands take purchase on your torso, pulling you closer and closer until you’re on the very edge of your chair. When you tug on his shirt to tell him that you can’t come any closer he also come to the end of his seat. You think that he might actually discard his chair fully and opt to squat in front of you instead. You’re not sure, you’re too engulfed in his lips and the way that they taste like butterbeer to care about much else. It really feels like you’re flying. Flying high above the quidditch pitch with sunshine hitting your shoulders and wind whipping you hair.
He pulls away with heavy breaths and an immesurable smile, hands still holding onto your middle. You move a loose strand of hair back from his forehead and he giggles quietly. The sound makes your heart flutter.
“I think I get the point.” Your words are breathless when they come out, but it makes Jacob laugh again. You think that you’d talk with lungs full of water just to hear him laugh.
“So what’s your answer?” He already knows what you’ll say, you know too. But jacob has always been the type of person to anticipate every word. That’s why he looks at you with wide eyes and his cheek in between his teeth. When he starts to pick at his cuticles you put your hand over his and smile gently. There’s no way that you could ever say no to him.

(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
“Yeah he does that, it’s nothing personal,” Changbin shrugged. “I suggest you go to the infirmary, dude, it’s not looking good.” He gestured to the upper body of the 3rd year who left in a hurry, a big frown on his face.
Since that day, Yogi stayed in the owlery to avoid having the whole school at Changbin’s throat because of his tiny but aggressive pet.
With fast reflexes, you caught the cookies before they could reach the floor.
You were confused. Did it not work? There was still the ‘S’ written in black on the transparent bag. Did… did you make a mistake when naming the bags?
Lost in your thought, you barely reacted when the Slytherin team patted you on the back, thanking you for the cookies, on the way back to celebrate their victory.
“You can tell me anything.”
You felt like he only reacted that way because he was still under the effects of the potion and you hoped he wouldn’t hate you once it wears off.
“How did it go?”
“She said she liked me too. We’re going on a date tomorrow at Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop.”
“I’m happy for you. Honestly,” you smiled. If he wasn't going to be happy with you, at least he would be with Chaeyoung, and who were you to hate them or try to change that?
“Thank you, and I’m sorry I can’t return your feelings.”
“No, please, don’t apologize, no one can control those.”
“Not that it changes anything, but I always thought Changbin and you were a thing.”
“Bye,” he waved at you then left the common room quickly.
Some people are meant to stay unloved.” Changbin would've laughed at your dramatics, but it was a serious matter —for him at least.
Suspicious.
Oh, yeah.
Desperately wanting to change the subject, he announced: “I think I’ll try out for beater next year.”
He lowkey regretted not making you eat your own cookies back in May, and he couldn't brew the potion himself, because he wasn't fond of that subject.
It wasn’t part of the p— the image of your conversation he created in his mind.
To be fair, when asked to come, you said you were coming soon, but didn't specify with who or what you were going to do. Now it was clear that the subject of your ‘visit’ was working on essays with your favorite tutor.
Fighting it was useless, Changbin's jealousy was here to stay. He watched as you both sat at the large table in the middle of the room, putting your stuff out and starting to work on defense against the dark arts. He came closer, until you spotted him and shot him your best smile.
His heart pounded at this simple gesture. “Binnie! Come, we're doing our essay on ghouls.
“Don't copy word for word,” he demanded as he crossed his arms over his chest before resting them on the table.
“I'll tell you if you tell me.” Here was your chance to discover if your early conversation with Donghyun was true.
“You're one to talk!
“Oh I’m sorry, did you guys think this was a tv show? Are our lives that interesting compared to your boring ones? You better go elsewhere before my boyfriend and I hex the shit out of y’all!”
They quickly cleared out the room, some rolling their eyes and others with an amused smile on their faces. Minho came into view, displaying a knowing smirk as he walked to you. Changbin was as red as a rubis, shocked by what you just called him.
“Took you long enough, Y/N.”
Realization hit, your face and ears burned as you avoided facing any of the boys.
“Shut up, Minho.”

WC: 4.9k

Also, to make it consistent, bermuda line are the same age. There may be some Hogwarts inaccuracies, just ignore it for the sake of the story lol.
Series Masterlist: Blooming even in the shadows
Tumblr media
The stares and whispers in potions class were starting to stress you out. You hated hearing so blatantly things that were out of your hands. “Look at how close they sit. He must feel bad for having to work with her. If I hadn't been late, I would've sat next to him. How dare you sit with our prince."
Almost all your girls classmates looked at you with disdain. As if it was YOUR plan to sit down with that person.
You had absolutely no idea why Juyeon, of all the people at Hogwarts, took the seat next to you in this class when you both arrived early and the classroom was full of free seats. You've never crossed in his path before, nor he in yours. Sure, you've taken a lot of classes together over the past few years, but really he was always too far away from you.
It's not that the Ravenclow boy was rude, apathetic, or a rambunctious student. More like the complete opposite. Lee Juyeon was one of the most loved, intelligent and popular students in school. He was good-looking and very polite. His bubbly and slightly clumsy personality meant that he was always surrounded by people who were eager to steal some of his time.
And now, people had a greater pretext to approach him, since this year he had been assigned as one of the prefects of the blue house.
Unlike you. The nature of your personality, your life situation and the stereotypes that still prevailed in Slytherin, were the main reasons that in the five years you had been studying at Hogwarts, only a few people spoke to you. And not that that was a problem for you. You had grown up alone, so really when there were people around, you naturally felt uncomfortable.
So, that's precisely why you were wondering what the guy sitting next to you wanted.
Opposite poles must stay in their own places where they belong.
Juyeon kept looking directly at you and he looked happy. With your cautious attitude, he imagined you were a kitten about to bristle and that caused him emotion and tenderness. In a way, you reminded him of his best friends. A defensive image, but innocent inside.
The boy decided to speak, purposely ignoring the whispers of his other classmates.
"Hi, I'm Juyeon." He said as if someone in the school really didn't know who he was. You ignored him. "I don't know if you've ever noticed, but we've shared so many classes. I think you're one of the brightest witches, YN. I've always wanted to talk to you but I didn't have the chance. I can't wait to work with you, so if you don't mind, I'm going to sit here this year." He spoke with the brightest smile you had ever seen being directed at you. The one all the girls talked about when you walked by the halls. And rarely, one that didn't look awkward and looked genuine.
You looked at him out of the corner of your eye… you sighed and answered firmly.
"It bothers me. You're drawing too much attention. I don't like it. Change your seat."
Instead of hearing a curse or look at his face turning off, you heard him laugh. So you looked at him like he was crazy. Was he coming to make fun of you just like everyone else...?
"I can count with my hand fingers the people who have called me annoying, and those are my closest friends. Do you want to join the list?" And without paying more attention to you, he began to accommodate his stuff in his place.
What a headache the new school year painted!
Before he could say anything else, Professor Slughorn entered at that moment and started his class. To no one's surprise, due to the school plan for the subject, he briefly explained that this year it was too important to work in pairs, so whoever you were with at that time would become your pair for the entire school year.
Helplessly, Juyeon was without a doubt your potions partner. It was just to work in teams, you thought. And he was good. As long as you limited yourself to having contact with him only for the tasks, there would be no problem. What could go wrong?
Tumblr media
Those two tall boys walking with such confidence drew all eyes to them and raised  dreamy sighs from the girls and even a few boys from the 4 houses. It was rare to see a Gryffindor and a Slytherin walking together because of the silly rivalries that still existed, but it was definitely very attractive to see that pair.
Those boys looked around the great hall until they saw their best frie... a blue head?
Tumblr media
The loud whispers and excited giggles of the girls sitting at the tables around you alerted you to what you most wanted to avoid. Before you could get up from the table and walk away, you heard loud and clear.
"Lee Yu! What did you do?" A boy with brown hair yelled.
Lee Jaehyun.
The Gryffindor boy who, without a doubt, was currently the most popular student at Hogwarts. He had been a part of his house Quidditch team since his early years at school as a very talented Beater, and in fact, many thought he might become a professional player. He was charming and a joker. Without a doubt, it was known that next year, he would be chosen as the Head Boy. Very kind, but in a…cold way. As if he had a magnet that invited people to come closer whether they wanted to or not, but at the same time, there was a huge barrier so that they could only see him from afar.
Younghoon, the blonde guy walking next to him, was your housemate. And even if you lived in the same dorm, he'd never even looked at you before. The boy was probably one of the most serious and quiet people you had seen in school, but that mysterious aura attracted people more than it repelled them, unlike you. Maybe that's why people called him "The Golden Snake".
Both, ignoring the chaos around them, took a seat with you and your new seatmate who, unfortunately for you, still out of class was keeping you company.
Finishing potions, Juyeon left the classroom with you, and instead of going his own way, he followed you like a puppy to the tables in the great hall despite your complaints asking him not to go after you. There again, he had drawn too much attention that you didn't want.
And now, things got worse with the well-known 'Bermuda Line' bursting your bubble of peace.
That was how that trio of friends was known, who not only being attractive each in such different ways, belonged to families of wizards that were too important. Really influential people in the magic world.
Juyeon's mother and his grandfather had both been Ministers for Magic, and his older brother was expected to get the same position very soon. Younghoon's parents, following his paternal family line, were in fact the organizers of all the triwizard tournaments. And Jaehyun's father, was the head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, which was rumored to have the true control of the ministry of magic.
Also, never denied but never confirmed, with a somewhat dark past (thanks to his great-grandparents); it was said that his family was once the mainstay of the Muggle-Born Registration Commission. It was an open secret that no one dared to mention out loud. Firstly, not to damage the reputation of dear Jaehyun who had nothing to do with that situation, and secondly, because of the fear of falling into the bad eyes of that family if it turned out not to be true.
The trio was undoubtedly untouchable. Powerful families. Pure blood. Destined to live the best lives. Best friends since childhood. The most perfect Bermuda triangle in person. Chaotic. Attractive. And quite a challenge for you who had tried to live quietly by going unnoticed as much as you could. So far away from them and now being thrust into the center of that mess.
Their ‘fans’ wouldn't be happy if you stayed longer than they liked there.
As you thought about how to get out without being noticed, Younghoon took Juyeon's strands of hair between his fingers, looking at them as if they were the boy's greatest rarity.
"Why is your hair blue? Rather, how's it possible! I thought I left you in your classroom earlier with black locks." Jaehyun spoke loudly.
Loud was a good word to describe him.
"Does it look pretty?" Asked innocently the one with the feline look. "I guess we started our potions class off right. Slughorn asked us to do something fun with our partner and if he liked it, he would give us 20 points and later, we could choose any potion we wanted. YN is the brightest girl in our class and she put us in first place with a potion that changes the color of your hair depending on your emotion while drinking it. Isn't that so YN? I guess I was still a bit sleepy so it turned out blue." He exclaimed excitedly as he looked at you and took all the attention towards you.
Shit.
"Who's she Ju?" Jaehyun said a little curious and for the first time looking into your eyes. In fact, barely noticing your presence there. You began to feel a knot of nerves in your stomach.
Before your classmate could reply, Younghoon spoke up. "It's LN YN. She’s form our same generation. If you would pay more attention, you would know that we have had thousands of classes with her."
At his response, you looked at him in surprise. It was rare to see him recognize you as he was one of the people you swore didn't have the slightest idea of your existence. Normal was Jaehyun's bewildered reaction. It was also weird when Juyeon recognized you, but it wasn't that incredible since he did pay attention in every class and the teachers constantly recognized your work so maybe he heard about you.
Also, you saw Younghoon so often, that you were one hundred percent sure that he had never even looked at you for a second.
"How come I've never seen you before?" and “Do you know her, Hoonie?” said Jaehyun and Juyeon respectively at the same time.
You moved a little uncomfortable in your place.
The blonde just said. "She's a Slytherin too. It's obvious I know who she is." And he gave you a shy smile quickly looking away from you.
Wow?
"And why did you win first place with a potion that only changes your color?" Asked the Gryffindor somewhat carelessly, whose tone you didn't like to hear at all.
"Probably if you don't know how you're feeling at that moment, your new color can help you. Also, it looks good. And it's fun, simple." Juyeon replied kindly.
"Who's so stupid not to know how they're feeling at that moment? Your opinion on fun is a bit… Ju. Your potion is useless."
You looked at him with a frown. Who does this guy think he is?
"Yah, Lee Jaehyun! I want to see what you come up with for your class with Slughorn. The theme was 'do something fun in a simple way' and that's just what YN did. Honestly, I can feel right now that it's going to be hard for anyone to top us this year. We're going to be the best team, right YN?" Juyeon raised his hand for a high five.
When you didn't, he stroked your hair like you were a puppy and you glared at him. He only managed to laugh.
"How difficult is it going to be to surprise the teacher if he liked something as mediocre as changing color hairs?"
In all your years studying at Hogwarts, you imagined that behind the facade of those perfect kids, there were unpleasant persons. Maybe it was a prejudice that you shouldn't have, but you couldn't help but think about it.
At least now you knew that with one, you hadn't been wrong.
You got up from your seat, took your things without looking at the trio, turned around and before leaving you said. "Tell us what Slughorn got you when you get out of class, Lee. I guess whatever mediocre thing you do, you can win it too." And without thinking about what you just did, you left.
"YN, don't go!" You heard Juyeon's scream in the distance, but didn't stop.
"Really?" Jaehyun started laughing as he watched you hurry out of the great hall with intrigue.
"Really what? Why did you have to say something like that Jae? She's my new friend and she's very shy." Juyeon said with a pout.
He and Younghoon were used to his friend's somewhat shocking and annoying personality. His whole life had been like that with them even though other people liked to think otherwise. He wasn't bad, but he was quite outgoing and a bit loud at times.
But he knew that not all people were going to put up with it the way they did.
Juyeon has really been trying to get close to you for years. He knew what other students said about you, he knew the quiet and aloof way you tried to lead your life, and he had no idea how you put up with all that shit. He didn't want to make any mistakes and make you suffer more than necessary.
People liked to judge a person based on their family, their status, or worse, on mere hearsay. But they were never interested in really getting to know the people they were talking about. He knew it better than anyone.
Juyeon genuinely wanted to see if he could form a friendship with you. And not out of pity, nor as a social experiment. He felt that you were much more than what you allowed your classmates to see of you. Your situation did not define the type of person you were.
So even though he loved Jaehyun very much, he wasn't going to let him ruin his first breakthrough with you.
"Shy? I would say arrogant. And since when is she your friend? Since a few hours ago? She doesn't even seem to stand your presence. Wake up Juyeon, she's surely thinking of taking advantage of you and…"
"She can't stand you, Jae. In fact, Juyeon's quite okay for her." The blue-haired boy widened his eyes and looked happy again. "And don't talk to Ju like that, he can trust whoever he wants. Maybe he's tired of seeing your whiny face every day and he wants to socialize. Just let him be." Younghoon spoke calmly, used to the wild comments his friend made from time to time.
And despite his harsh words, his tone didn't sound like that at all.
"Can't stand my presence? What are you talki...?" Jaehyun was mid-sentence until he realized.
"Younghoon! You know that you can't enter people's minds without their permission." Juyeon exclaimed noticing it too.
"Less than a minute ago I just saw you smiling precisely because of that." He addressed Juyeon. "And for your information, it wasn't on purpose. I didn't see her thoughts, only her feelings came to me." The Slytherin answered timidly, who had apparently been born with a great aptitude for legermancy.
Jaehyun was frowning.
"And you're telling me that she doesn't like ME? It was just a simple comment, she shouldn't have taken it so seriously."
"You're so dense, Jae." The blue-haired one said sighing and Younghoon just rolled his eyes.
The Gryffindor was left wondering why he had never noticed you before. Or maybe he did, but he didn't remember too much. Perhaps his friends were right and he was quite dense. What he knew until now, is that since he didn't recognize you, you weren't one of the people who tried to get close to them every day, so he didn't know your true intentions towards Juyeon. Why now?
And if he, Juyeon, wanted to be your friend that badly, he'd probably have to get involved a little bit. You know, to test the waters.
Tumblr media
Finally you had been able to escape from the heavy atmosphere that you were beginning to feel in the great hall.
When the Bermuda Line were together, no one looked away from them. You wondered how uncomfortable it was for them since it felt so intrusive. But maybe they were already more than used to it.
You continued on your way to head towards the dungeons and down to your common room. You were thinking about Lee Jaehyun's annoying attitude and how the other students ignored his true personality when you realized that someone was following you.
You changed you direction several times to see if you weren't wrong, but that presence was still felt and it was getting closer and closer.
You stopped in a hallway that was practically alone and turned around.
A group of five girls quickly approached and looked at you very angrily. You knew they weren't there to talk to you on good terms so you thought if you stayed you might get in trouble. But if you left, you weren't sure they wouldn't come looking for you again later.
Trying to go unnoticed was your motto. And you really COULDN'T get into trouble. So to avoid a confrontation, you better turn around and after a few steps you felt someone pull your hair and push you towards one of the walls.
The cold stone received you.
A fourth year Gryffindor had your hair in her fist. A fifth-year Ravenclow swung her hand and your books fell to the floor with a loud thud. Still, there was no one else wandering around.
"Are you stupid?" Asked a Hufflepuff girl who you assumed was also a classmate of one of the previous two.
Next to her, two of your Slytherin classmates from the same generation, looked at you with mockery. Who the fuck were they? I mean, you recognized them by their faces, but you had never messed with them. You didn't even know their names. And in fact, you had never heard them whispering about you either.
You didn't answer. In all the years that some students had bullied you, you never gave them the satisfaction of being able to listen to you. “Your silence is your dignity, YN” you constantly repeated to yourself.
"Don't you know how to speak? Are you that dumb? We just saw you talking with complete confidence with the Bermuda Line. Do you think you're worthy of being with them?" Same Hufflepuff girl told you.
So the problems because of them came faster than you imagined. Would they be their friends or were they part of the girls who had never spoken to them?
"Answer, whore!" Said the oldest of all while she slapped you.
She made your blood boil. You started to feel immensely upset. Don't do anything to them, don't do anything to them. You felt burning on your cheek but you refused to touch it.
"Don't be silly. Did you pretend you never wanted to talk to them so they would come to you? Did you know that the only thing they can feel for you is pity?"
"You're nobody to approach them. You have very high expectations for being the dirt of the mudbloods."
They'll laughed while you got more and more irritated.
"If your ordinary Muggle parents didn't love you, neither do your classmates, much less they'll love you. Stay away if you don't want to make us angrier. Don't be looking for them!”
STOP. STOP. STOP. Your mind could only focus on that as you closed your eyes. The last thing you wanted was to keep seeing their mocking faces.
You stopped feeling pressed against the wall and your hair felt free. You heard several screams and thuds. You looked carefully and saw the girls scared and trying to get up from the floor. They looked puzzled. They had been thrown quite hard.
"What happened here?" A boy came running and helped them.
Now someone did appear. How lucky!
You looked at the boy who was glaring at you, and you were surprised to meet the eyes of the very person you were allowing to disturb you so much today. Lee Jaehyun. Who to be honest, also seemed surprised to see you there.
"You? What did you do to them?" The Gryffindor asked quietly.
You let out a small laugh and the group of girls looked at you like you were crazy. The situation was so ridiculous that you couldn't help it.
Of course you expected that the one who looked bad, were you. And this guy Jaehyun, who was he to come and assume culprits? Also, why was he here? What did he see? What did he hear?
You felt immense rage thinking that the reason this happened was indirectly him and that he was also here now. Blaming you.
"Jae, she's not a witch. She's a monster." Spit her Gryffindor classmate with poison.
"Monster! You hurt us on purpose!" The girl from Ravenclow shrieked.
You weren't going to stay and listen to any more nonsense. You picked up your books and as you turned to leave, you heard him say under his breath, "You turn out to be such a problem. Lee Ju doesn't deserve someone like you."
You felt your eyes sting but you endured as much as you could. You continued on your way without turning back.
Tumblr media
You arrived upset at the clock tower. Students didn't usually go up there unless it was night and even then it wasn't a crowded place.
You were tired of everyone in that place taking the liberty of treating you however they wanted. You weren't a punching bag for the problems in their lifes. Nor did you were a thing with free access to humiliation just because they felt like it.
Every year you spent at Hogwarts it got heavier and heavier. You felt more and more alone. You had less and less desire to move on. And each time, you thought that maybe you were everything they said about you. You were beginning to genuinely believe that no one really deserved to have you in their lives because that didn't mean anything good.
You're just passing through. Finish school and get out of there. It was the only thing you thought about every day to keep you going on.
You had tried every day, so hard, not to get in the way of people who would make everything more difficult, and it hadn't helped because those same people would get in yours.
Lee Juyeon came over to talk to you. He made the decision to sit with you. His friends were the ones who went to the table where you were already. So why did everything fall as your responsibility?
And why did everyone think they owned the Bermuda Line? Why did they let other people behave like this because of them?
Your back ached and your cheek burned like hell. But even so, the words that Jaehyun said at the end were the ones that were hurting you the most from this whole situation: “You turn out to be such a problem. Lee Ju doesn't deserve someone like you."
From the beginning, you shouldn't have left him in even if he was insistent. Perhaps the emptiness you felt at that moment, the longing for closeness with someone that was deep within you was what made you act foolishly. You could have tried to push him away a little more.
"You're such a fool, LN YN!" You screamed with all your might.
Looking down at the courtyard, there was no one to listen. There was never anyone to listen.
You fell to the floor dropping your books and hugged your knees. Sometimes the darkness in your life was too much to bear. Don't cry, don't cry.
"I really don't think so, YN."
You startled when you heard a low voice. There was someone behind you but you didn't want to turn around to find out. What if they bothered you again? You felt a knot of nerves in your stomach. Who was there?
You felt embarrassed and scared right away.
"A…are you okay?" You heard a timidly familiar male voice as you felt that person kneel down and carefully pick up your books -again- scattered on the floor.
You really didn't want to turn to look at him, but what else could you do? Snatch your things and run away? You didn't want to look so childish. Although really at that moment, you -almost- couldn't care less.
A soft perfume like mint and honey reached your nose. Often that scent would come to you when you were in some classes, or even in your common room. You thought it was from...
"Kim…Kim Younghoon?" When you looked you knew you weren't wrong. There next to you the same blond boy who was recently in the great hall in front of you, was again in the same place as you. From your position, you felt his enormous presence. He looked between nervous and scared. He was no longer wearing his cape, now he was only wearing the gray sweater and his tie was a bit disheveled.
How many times had you personally encountered the Bermuda Line in your last five years at Hogwarts? None. How many times have you seen them today? Too many.
Too many wasn't good. You felt mentally tired.
Younghoon frowned as he looked like he was searching for something in your face.
"What are you doing here?" You avoided his gaze feeling all your blood come to your cheeks. It was too much to think of him seeing you in such an embarassing situation. You wanted to get out of there.
You startled when you felt a touch so light it was barely perceptible on your cheek. You looked at him with wide eyes. He with a little pout, showed you his finger. A small drop of blood stained it.
"Something scratched your face." He didn't say it as a question and he didn't answer you either. And it wasn't something, rather someone. Among so many things that had happened you didn't even noticed, and now that you were aware, you could feel a very slight burning.
You were going to touch your cheek and before you could, his hand stopped you by the wrist. You felt goosebumps and tingling on your skin as small shocks of electricity where the physical contact was.
Why was Kim Younghoon there checking you out so confidently? Honestly, his attitude had you more than surprised. Seeing him from afar all this time, you think he would be more… serious? Perhaps even rude like his other friend. But he was being quite… cute. Even if you don't want to consciously admit it. It was strange that someone treated you with such kindness and delicacy. You had no idea what to do. You didn't know where to look. You didn't even know where to put your hands.
"Don't touch it. You can infect it. Let... let me fix it. I mean… may I?" he asked while pulling his wand out.
Without looking at him, you slightly nodded and closed your eyes. You heard him mutter something under his breath and felt a slight itch on your cheek. Then nothing. There was no discomfort. You touched it softly and there was nothing.
"Th…thank you." You cleared your throat and throw the short answer. "What are you doing here?" You asked again.
Younghoon's cheeks turned slightly red.
"Ah… I… I usually come to this place. At this time it's not very crowded. Not long after you… left the great hall,” he said, avoiding meeting your gaze. "I decided to come. I didn't mean to intrude." He raised his hands denying. "When you arrived I was sitting there." He pointed to a quite hidden corner where sometimes you liked to sit and read. And apparently, you had that in common since there was a book in there.
"I'm sorry. I… I didn't notice anything."
"Did something happened?" He asked timidly.
You denied without looking him in the eye. You didn't want to talk about it, much less with him.
"It's okay if you don't want to talk. As I told you, my intention is not to intrude. I felt your discomfort so I was curious."
He felt? You looked at him in surprise and he widened his eyes quite a bit, noticing that he had talked too much. You didn't question it.
"It's getting late…"
"I should go back..."
You both said at the same time. The atmosphere felt quite awkward, but it wasn't uncomfortable.
Younghoon chuckled.
"We should go back to our common room." The sentence came out of him with such confidence that it made you nervous. We should? Like each one on their way, or… together?
Before you could say anything, he grabbed your books, went to get his book in the corner and motioned for you to get out of there.
"Let's go?" He smiled.
Warm. It was a new feeling, and it was nice.
People said that Jaehyun was charming and kind. They said that Younghoon was serious and cold. And they also said that you were a nuisance and a hindrance.
And for the first time in a long time, you questioned why you blindly believed so many rumours. Things weren't as simple as they seemed at first glance.
"Let's go."

It was common knowledge that Seungmin was an O student, and you weren’t so far behind. In the beginning of first year up until the end of second year, you were rivals. You were competitive and Seungmin was a pain. He wasn’t competitive as much, but he was better than you, and you couldn’t tolerate it. Fortunately, he asked if he could talk to you on the train to your third year and you’ve been a better person ever since; less competitive, more open and definitely more livable. Bonus, you became friends with him.
Your parents had pressured you into being the best student and it made you do and say things you regret, but Seungmin understood, which you were thankful for. They also wanted you to be a Slytherin, like them, but perhaps the Sorting Hat knew deep down who you really were.
Hogwarts had always been a second home to you. At all times, you felt cozy and relaxed despite the amount of noise and homework. Making peace with yourself made the whole experience ten times better.
The librarian came out of nowhere with an unpleasant look —the usual— and hissed to the whole library before storming out: “Pray that I won’t find out who damaged our copy of Important modern magic discoveries.”
You looked at Seungmin at the other side of the table and laughed quietly while he shook his head. You knew who it was, but you wouldn’t snitch on a fellow Ravenclaw. Especially not when he cost too much house points already.
Seungmin didn’t like studying in the Great Hall because it was too loud compared to the library, where the librarian never accepted any sound (whispers were worse than speaking out loud for her). The common room was okay, sometimes, but it was mostly a place to chill and read.
Moreover, he knew every inch of the library like the back of his hand, so he often helped restock and find books for other students if they looked lost. You found that admirable, knowing the librarian’s temperament. He didn’t seem to mind, though. In fact, she seemed to respect your friend, value even.
“I can’t believe Jisung’s scared of acromantulas,” you blurted out of the blue, the last class of defense against the dark arts still fresh on your mind.
“Me neither. He does have one fear, after all,” he shrugged. As desperate as he was, never would he use this fear to ‘tame’ his friend.
You nodded, refocusing on your task at hand, when a tired-looking Chaewon sat next to you with a light thud. She sighed, pinching her nose bridge in annoyance.
“What’s wrong?” you asked, your voice laced with worry.
“I just tutored Heejin for transfiguration but she’s not making any effort.”
“She asked the professor herself, though?”
“Exactly! Ugh, why did it have to be me?”
“Ask the professor to change tutor,” proposed Seungmin.
“Already did, but she said I was the second best choice, the first being Hyunjin, and he’s already tutoring a Gryffindor.”
“Wait. You don’t have to actually meet up, right?” You were not going to let your friend have a hard time for basically nothing.
“I guess not…”
“Then just don’t. I’m sure she doesn’t even need the help.”
“You’re right, she looked jealous over the person that genuinely needed it,” recalled Seungmin.
“I guess she likes Hyunjin or something,” Chaewon shrugged.
“Poor girl. He’s never going to see her that way,” you shook your head.
“Shhh!” hissed the librarian behind you, making you all flinch. No one saw her coming back and it put an end to your conversation.
A few days later, in history of magic class shared between Ravenclaws and Slytherins, the professor monotonously recited his 14th century’s witch hunt lesson while some classmates were playing exploding snap at the back. Seungmin was, as usual, immersed in the lecture while you were trying your best not to fall asleep. Chaewon was diligently writing down notes two rows back, next to Hyunjin who gave up on staying awake a long time ago. You’ve never spent time with the Slytherin girl, but she was close to Chaewon. You could hear mini explosions and laughter from behind you, and if you weren’t so drowsy right now, you would’ve gone to see how the game was going.
After the class, you went to the courtyard during recess with Seungmin.
“I just don’t get why flying carpets are illegal, you know? They look so much steadier than brooms,” you sighed, sitting on the low wall surrounding the courtyard, your friend following you.
“I’d tell you the reason, but you know it already.”
“Yes, they have been defined as a ‘muggle artifact’ by the registry of proscribed charmable objects, so now they’re banned. But so are brooms! I guess the ministry had to choose, and made a huge mistake.”
“Why don’t you send them an owl to make a change?” Seungmin proposed, amused by your beliefs.
“Are you out of your mind? My dad works at the ministry, I don’t fancy receiving a howler during breakfast for my ‘disrespect of the wizarding law’, thank you very much.”
You visibly shivered at the thought.
“Would be fun to—” Seungmin started, but your attention drifted off to a guy standing on the edge of the fountain.
“Anyone want to do my history homework? I can pay,” proposed a fourth year Gryffindor, Eric if you weren’t mistaken.
Seeing you were about to get up to walk in the direction of the guy, Seungmin stopped you by tugging on your robe. “You’re not seriously considering it?”
“Why not? If he pays well, I can buy some books at Fleury and Bott this weekend,” you shrugged.
“I’ll buy you every book you want but please. Don’t do it, you already have a lot on your plate.”
“Aww. Do I detect worry? You’re so cute. Every book I want, huh? You can’t back down now!”
Seungmin grimaced a bit as he watched you excitedly walking to your next class. He sighed tiredly before joining you, considering Eric’s offer for a brief moment to buy those books. That would’ve been hypocritical of him to do that, so he kept walking.
He never regretted it because he could spend more quality time with you. His wallet though, it was another story.
Out of the books you acquired, there was the ‘Quintessence: A Quest’ charm book destined for the sixth year students.
Back to Ravenclaw’s common room that Sunday, you browsed through it while Seungmin was, no big surprise, working on assignments. Chaewon was with you two for a few hours, then decided to go outside, quoting her: ‘to enjoy the first warm day of the year.’
As you were turning the pages, a spell caught your eye. It was the bubble-head charm.
“I can’t believe that spell is too advanced for me,” you whispered to yourself.
Seungmin took a quick look at your interest and shrugged, saying, “it never stopped me.”
“Me neither. I’m just saying that it’s a cool spell that we should’ve learned already! How cool would it be to swim in the black lake for hours, meet the merpeople and the giant squid?”
“Y/N, let me stop you right there,” he said seriously, bringing a hand up. “The black lake is forbidden, please don’t do anything stupid. Jisung is already a pain for losing house points daily,” he requested, his eyes pleading.
“Contrary to what you may think, I didn’t get sorted into Ravenclaw simply because I like the color blue. I know how to stay out of trouble.” Seungmin gave you an unimpressed look. “Okay. Okay, I won’t enter the black lake. Promise.”
“Thank you,” he let out a relieved sigh.
“I’m still learning that spell, though.”
“Y/N!”
(っ◔◡◔)っ ✿
“The library is like a second Ravenclaw common room at this point,” Chaewon pointed out, sitting next to you at a table attached to one of many narrow rows. “I’ve seen a majority of blue robes since I entered.”
“Can’t deny it,” you shrugged, amused, finishing a transfiguration assignment.
Your friend chuckled lightly, stopped abruptly when she heard a ‘shh’ from the end of the row —the librarian, no doubt— and sighed quietly. “I have five minutes to cry over my potions essay.”
“Already?”
Lunch time was about to end. Passing your own potions essay to your friend under her thanks, you packed up your things and waited for her to rectify a few facts on her parchment.
“I’m forever grateful,” the Ravenclaw girl said on your way to the dungeons, where you joined Seungmin and the Hufflepuffs.
“Come on Chae, we’re friends. I would lend you my essays anytime.”
“You’re the best Y/N!” Chaewon exclaimed, a pretty eye smile adorning her soft features, as she put her arms around one of yours.
Seungmin stood there, smiling to himself at the exchange, his eyes lingering on your face, which didn’t go unnoticed by Jisung. As you all entered the classroom, he nudged his friend.
“Is this a one-sided enemies to lovers au?”
He friendly slapped his shoulder and told him to shut up. Everyone around you both knew your past. It was quite the show.
“It’s so frustrating! He’s always ahead of me, no matter how hard I try to be the best,” you told your cousin.
It was about April of your second year. You had a cousin who was in his 7th year at that time. A Slytherin, too.
“You’re being too hard on yourself, Y/N,” he smiled as he put a hand on your shoulder.
Shinwon was always supportive and cheerful, despite your family motto (‘be the best in everything’). At seventeen, he already chose his path, his parents accepting it or not. Indeed, he wanted to become a healer at St Mungo’s and save lives. It was admirable, and you wished you were more like him.
“I know your parents are putting a lot of pressure on you, but you’re only twelve. Enjoy your school years, forge your own path, make friends and, more importantly, be happy.”
Those words actually helped you get through the end of your second year. Your cousin was now a healer at St Mungo’s as he dreamed of, and to honor his kind words, you were enjoying your school days as much as you could.
After potions, you got to herbology.
You’ve spent the two last classes learning the herbivicus charm, and Seungmin particularly loved it. All week, he practiced on the few plants in the common room, or the ones outside.
Herbology was one of your friend’s favorite subjects, he loved to take care of the plants, even outside of class. The professor let him water every plant in the greenhouses on weekends— to his request.
At lunch, you were eating with Seungmin, Chaewon, Jisung, his partner in crime and Chani. The latter looked around the table, stopped for a few seconds, then offered his hand over the table for Chaewon to shake. She confusedly did.
“Looks like we’re likely to end up together, this feels like a triple date.” Chaewon removed her hand from his under the protests and indignation of the five persons concerned. Chani put his hands up in fake surrender, “That was a joke, jeez.”
“Not very funny,” muttered Jisung before taking a sip of pumpkin juice.
“Don’t scare me like that again,” Chaewon glared at Chani, gently rubbing the hand that touched his own under the table.
He sent her an apologetic smile, and you were so immersed in their conversation that —you caught Chani’s red ears and how your friend’s features didn’t match her actions— you weren’t aware of Seungmin gazing at you, his brain going blank.
No thoughts, just your pretty eyes, cute smile and soft skin.
He snapped out of it when Jisung flicked his fingers in front of him. “You okay there, mate? Looks like you were daydreaming.”
Seungmin kicked him under the table —making him dramatically yelp in pain— and resumed eating his lunch in silence, trying his best to hide his embarrassment.
Actually, he had harbored feelings for you for quite some time, a few months before you talked out your rivalry. He never said anything, of course, by fear you would reject him or worse, end your friendship with him. He always did his best to hide his secret from everyone; that was until Jisung caught up.
During defense against the dark arts this afternoon, as Ravenclaws and Slytherins were practicing the twitchy-ears hex —and, therefore, the shield charm—, Jisung and his partner in crime were half-heartedly training, preferring taking their time to chat, glancing at Seungmin and you from time to time from the other side of the room. You were diligently practicing with Chaewon while Chani was with Seungmin.
The latter wasn’t fully concentrated though, often having the overwhelming feeling of eyes boring into him. He didn’t like that. It even made him mess up his shield charm, resulting in him feeling his ear twitch. He groaned, congratulated Chani and pointed his wand at his ear, whispering: “Finite.” Then, he hexed Jisung across the room when he wasn’t looking, his partner being confused because they wasn’t the one to hex him.
Meanwhile, Chaewon and you were pretty good at this so everytime one of you casted a spell, there was no difference. Both your shield charms were perfect.
“Almost would’ve liked to know how the hex feels,” Chaewon laughed during recess.
You were at the library, working on the herbology essay you got that morning, with Seungmin and Chaewon. Without a word, you put your wand out of your robe pocket, pointing it at your friend. She raised her hands to her ears, an unpleasant look on her face.
“I said almost! It’s quite irksome, actually.” You released her from the hex and she relaxed, quickly rubbing her ears, “Thanks.”
“My pleasure.”
Seungmin was lost in thought, thinking about how smart and talented you were. He had a stupid smile on his face until he shook his head and realized Chaewon was staring at him suspiciously. He coughed and got back to his assignment, not being able to fully focus.
He was losing control of his emotions.
That night in the common room, as you three were still working —uh, boringgg— on your assignments before dinner, Chaewon decided she had enough and preferred reading a romance book on her bed. She packed her stuff and went to her dorm, leaving Seungmin and you in a comfortable silence. Until Jisung entered the room, sneakily walking behind your backs at a safe distance.
He pointed his wand at your sleeves —they were a few inches apart— and whispered: “Epoximise.” He then fled out of the room like he was never here, excitedly thinking how his plan was working perfectly.
You didn’t notice for like twenty seconds, but when you moved your hand to write on your parchment, Seungmin’s left arm followed. You looked at each other in disbelief, raising your arms to see what could’ve happened.
Seungmin’s robe sleeve somehow merged with yours.
The sudden proximity —your pinky fingers touched a few times— embarrassed you for some reason, while Seungmin was a blushing mess.
“We should probably do something about that,” you finally say, gesturing to your hands.
“Right.”
“You should do it.”
“Yeah,” he murmured as he took his wand, “finite.”
“I wonder who did this.”
“I have an idea.” Seungmin looked upset, but you didn’t pry. “I’ll be back,” he said, getting up and leaving the common room in a hurry.
You took this time alone —well, almost, there were other Ravenclaws around— to think about why your cheeks burned as much as they did when your hands were touching.
You didn’t like him like that, right?
He was just a good friend you disliked before, who’s been nothing but sweet and understanding. A truly smart guy who, despite his gigantic love for academics and books, could always make time to help others whenever they needed. You loved that in him— wait.
No, no, no.
While you tried to convince yourself it wasn’t ‘love’ you were feeling, Seungmin was out for Jisung’s head. He found him on the spiral staircase leading to their common room, walking up in his direction.
“Jisung,” he shouted from a few stairs above him, startling not only the concerned, but a few paintings too.
“Oh, Seung, hey, how’re you doing?” he asked as he stopped in his tracks.
“What were you THINKING?”
Slowly walking backwards, Jisung started sweating, his friend’s anger intimidating him a little. “It wasn’t—”
“I know it was you, don’t deny it. I’ve felt you staring at me for hours today, I knew you were planning something.”
“I was going to say that it wasn’t meant to hurt you in any way, more like bring you two closer with a little push. I’m sorry.”
“I should hex you right now,” Seungmin huffed.
“Didn’t you already do in dada?” he raised a brow, crossing his arms.
“True. I guess we’re even, then.”
Jisung let out a relieved breath, “how did it go?”
“It was awkward,” he explained as they came back to the common room together, “and I won’t discuss this matter further with you. You’ve done your part,” he stopped to give the eagle knocker an answer to his riddle, “please don’t do anything else.”
Jisung nodded as he saw you were alone at the table, your hands in your hair like you were having a crisis. He excused himself before going to his dorm, while Seungmin sat next to you. “You okay?”
You shot your head up, using your hands to fix your hair. “Of course. Yeah. Totally.”
It looked like you were freaking out, which worried Seungmin, but he kept his mouth shut, gazing at your face. You finally looked at him and it was weird, your heart was still beating fast but you felt at ease. You managed to smile, losing yourself in his soft brown eyes.
“You’re really beautiful,” he whispered to himself but you heard it.
You blushed, your smile growing wider. “You’re beautiful, too.”
His eyes widened, his ears got red as he hid his face behind his hands.
Giggling, you gently took his hands in yours and brought them down, leaning towards him. You looked in each other’s eyes with adoration.
He slowly closed the gap between you in a chaste kiss. It didn’t last long, but it was sweet and made you all fuzzy inside. The euphoria ended immediately after a couple Ravenclaws cheered for you, though, but it was a nice feeling.
At dinner, Seungmin, Chaewon, Jisung, his partner in crime, Chani and you were all eating together, and you two lovebirds were holding hands under the table.
Jisung raised his glass out of nowhere, “I’d like to make a toast.”
“We’re fourteen,” Chani interrupted.
“Shut up and raise your damn pumpkin juice,” he cursed in a whisper, before smiling at his friends raising their own glasses —reluctantly or not. “To the new couple I helped”—Seungmin scoffed—“make happen today,” he announced as he glanced at you two, “next is your turn, buddies,” he added to the attention of Chaewon and Chani, who blushed hard.
“Cheers,” his partner in crime jovially said, before drinking.
“And when’s your turn?” Seungmin asked Jisung, murmuring over the table so he’d be the only one hearing.
“I’ll pretend I didn’t hear that,” he murmured back.
After dinner, Seungmin and you were walking around the courtyard, holding hands and making heart eyes at each other.
“Remember when I decided to learn the bubble-head charm?”
“I don’t think I like what you’re implying…” he softly answered, already feeling anxious about your next words.
“It’s not that bad, I promise,” you giggled, “I learned how to make blue sparks too.”
You put your wand out and pointed to the night sky. Making the right hand movement, jets of blue sparks came out of the tip of your wand, illuminating the sky. “Vermillious,” you enunciated, adding jets of red sparks into the mini fireworks, creating purple sparks in the process.
Seungmin was amazed, it was such a mesmerizing view. His eyes fell on your face, and, at that exact moment, intently watching as your eyes shone and your smile held pure gratification, he knew why he loved you.
You were full of life, always by his side, a good friend and so, so beautiful under the multicolored lights.

a wizards fate | choi chanhee (new)
pairing: chanhee (new) x gender neutral reader
genre: hogwarts inspired, angst
words: 779
A/N: I was feeling inspired. and chanhee fits it perfectly! please enjoy :’)
┎┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┒
from your spot in front of the teacher’s table, you saw chanhee close his eyes, concentrated. his nose scrunched lightly as his fingernails dug gravely into his palm. your place at the head of the ravenclaw table alongside the other newly appointed wizards, the space beside you reserved for your best friend.
ridged, his shoulders were higher than his ears. the sorting hat perched atop his head, peaks of his blonde streaks sticking out from beneath it. you noticed the way his lips twitched as he muttered away to himself, silently answering the sorting questions.
you held the smile that was permanently etched against your lips, hopeful that you would be placed together as you had always hoped. after a decade, your parents barely went a day without reminding you that ravenclaw was the house for you; the both of you fighting to be top of the class each years, your strengths complimenting one another all the way.
on the train, you had sat opposite one another, giggling over the two chocolate frogs that attempted to leap out the window before the other; chanhee showing off his merlin in competition with your mythological circe card. you were both certain you would be sorted into ravenclaw.
entering the great hall, chanhee reached for your hand, feet shuffling against the wooden floor. the way he squeezed against your palm made you more nervous than you wanted to be. you were certain.
but as the sorting hat started to come to its decision, your palms began to sweat. your tie wrapped in royal blue, you were meant to be swelling with pride - the house fo your parents, and their parents. the house that would look after you and chanhee for the next seven years. but right now, a dull ache of uncertainty flittered in your heart.
“hmm, interesting.” the monotonous voice left the deep creases of the dusted grey hat. it wiggled subtly against chanhee’s head, the most excitable you’d seen it all evening. chanhee’s bottom lip was trapped between his teeth, a habit you saw when he was nervous, a subconscious act.
“ravenclaw, you say?” its voice boomed, rising high in the dark night allusion that clouded the ceiling. “a pureblood, I see. your parents were excellent ravenclaws.”
chanhee’s nose scrunched further, the tension that creased his eyebrows failing to subside. you were sure that his palms were coated in fresh crescent moons, breaking the skin in its wake.
his lips continued to move as he murmured to the one who held his fate.
“but you have so much potential… there aren’t many that I meet who could fit any house.” the sentence itself filled you with dread. any house? you didn’t want to imagine a life without your best friend by your side.
chanhee let out a deep breath, his shoulders sinking in defeat. he knew the hat had made its decision, but you kept on your smile in the hopes that he’d bellow the colours that matched your own.
“I see. that’s enough, now.” it murmured, more chastising chanhee who held a look of desperation.
“better be…”
your heart leaped, completely soared as though you floated through the synthetic sky above you. your ears began to ring even before you heard the final verdict. shouts and cheers clattered around you, support for all houses was a must during the sorting ceremony. your eyes wandered the hall, delighted faces of new and returning students clapping in encouragement.
it was when you finally looked at chanhee, his face had paled at his assignment, the moments of overwhelming tension aspirating his energy. the frown washing away from his features in moments, his eyebrow settling back into its perfect shape, cheekbones still glowing under the candle light. but it was when he finally opened his eyes, you saw it. his usual melted chocolate swirls were replaced by something much more sinister.
irises that usually held a sparkle of childlike wonder was diminished by a darker palette, flickers of emerald green flaming as his gaze rested on you. something had shifted, the bond of security and protection that sat like a silent promise between you felt like it had completely evaporated. you had realised his tie had not turned royal blue like your own. but it hadn’t morphed into a warm burgundy or the subtle yellow shade that complimented the table of wizards sat parallel to yours.
it had warped like the sparkling gem that perched sinisterly on snape’s ring finger. a colour so dark and eerie that it alighted the fear that spread through your chest. a fear that you may lose your best friend.
because as of now, chanhee is a slytherin.
┖┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┚
note: although I don’t agree with JK Rowling’s views, I’ve adored harry potter and its concept since I was young so I decided to write a hogwarts inspired au.

Seems real nice
like the kind of member that would just get clowned on constantly by his members
need to give him more attention
he kills me in Stealer...
Jacob
Yeah this man is a Hufflepuff
You can’t argue with me
his soft voice
the guitarrr

Hufflepuffs are very precious to me and he is one that’s all

that’s all you need to know
Eric
Gryffindor but I can also see him in Slytherin
Because he a sports kid I think I saw once in a video
But like I see a bit of annoying younger sibling in him that always gives me the Slytherin vibe
I know people hate saying the evil ones are Slytherin but it’s more like
I see that mischievous vibe that’s good for both Gryffindor and Slytherin
I think the motivation is what changes the house
No yeah he’s definitely a Gryffindor
