References explanations:

“Riderless horses” references the tradition in a military funeral to have a horse following the casket with no rider, and a pair of military boots facing backward in the stirrups.

“Rethinking Camelot” is a book by Noam Chomsky criticizing the US’s involvement with the Vietnam War, exploring whether or not Kennedy was planning to withdraw from Vietnam before he was assassinated, and how history is written, rewritten, and interpreted differently by different individuals.

“Bruises on my hands from digging my nails out” may be a reference to stigmata and the fact that Jesus was nailed to the cross by his palms.

I’m going to assume “SB” stands for Sandro Botticelli, who painted 3 pieces in the Sistine Chapel (which Richey has somehow managed to spell incorrectly, by the way): The Trials of Moses, depicting Moses killing an Egyptian who harassed a Jew and fleeing to the desert, fighting shepherds to allow Jethro’s daughters to let their cattle drink, receiving the command from God to return to Egypt, and leading the Jews to the Promised Land. Punishment of the Rebels, depicting the Jews rebelling against Moses and Aaron. And Temptations of Christ, which shows 3 scenes from the Gospels; a fasting Jesus is tempted by the devil to turn stones into bread, the devil tempts Jesus to challenge God’s promise that he is protected by the angels, and the devil promises Jesus power over the earth if he denounces God and worships the devil. In the center, various stories that were precursor to the crucifixion are represented.

Heinrich Himmler was the commander of the SS and one of the men most directly responsible for the Holocaust. He was never actively in battle, but set up and organized the concentration camps. After seeing a mass-shooting of Jewish victims at Minsk, he thought that the shooting of women and children would take a psychological toll on his SS men, so he devised gas chambers equipped with the pesticide Zyklon B to be installed in concentration camps instead. He killed himself after being captured by Allies by biting down on a hidden cyanide pill. I honestly don’t know what the “painted ether” is referencing. I’m going to guess it’s a reference to the Zyklon B, since it smelled faintly of almonds (therefore was “painted” because ether has no smell.)

“O’Brian’s 10th dictionary” may possibly be a reference to 1984 and the destruction of language? In chapter 5 of 1984 O’Brien (who ends up being a member of the Inner Party in disguise and traps/brainwashes Winston) stops Winston in the hall and talks to him about an article he wrote and says, “What I had really intended to say was that in your article I noticed you had used two words which have become obsolete. But they have only become so very recently. Have you seen the tenth edition of the Newspeak Dictionary?” Richey probably just misspelled the name. It also may be a reference to the 1993 publication of the 10th edition of Merriam-Webster English Dictionary and the controversy over certain words being removed.

GLAAD is the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. It was founded in 1985. No idea what else that could be referencing.

“Dwarf takes his cockerel outta the cock fight” is a reference to The Day Of The Locust by Nathanael West. In the scene, the dwarf referenced, Abe, has reluctantly put a rooster in a cock fight against an acquaintance’s. His rooster is weaker and at the end of each round, Abe tries desperately to revive it. When it’s finally killed, he screams at the owner of the winning bird to remove the dead one from the ring. The fight parallels the social and sexual victimization and bullying that occur in the book.

The West Wing of the White House houses all the executive offices, including the Oval Office and Cabinet Room.

Robert F. Stroud was known as the Birdman Of Alcatraz. He became a pimp at 18 and shot and killed a bartender who attacked one of his prostitutes. Later, while incarcerated, he also killed a guard and was sentenced to life imprisonment. While serving his sentence in Alcatraz, he began raising some injured sparrows, and later began to raise hundreds of canaries; he studied ornithology while in prison and wrote a book on the pathology of birds.

No Il Cacciatore is the Italian title for The Deer Hunter, a 1978 war movie about 3 Russian-American soldiers in Vietnam starring Robert De Niro, Christopher Walken, and John Savage. A recurring theme is a character’s preference for how to take down a deer: with “one shot”; this is reflected in a game of Russian Roulette the characters are forced to play by their Viet Cong captors and later, the suicide of a character who has been earning money in Vietnam by challenging people to games of Russian Roulette and allowing people to bet on him.

Psalm 92 is supposedly the Psalm Adam sang the day after God made him. It’s basically saying that God is great and you should use music to praise him, that God will destroy enemies even if they are strong, that the psalmist (Adam?) has been made strong by God, and that all righteous, truly good people will be strong.

Corinthians 5 is confusing because Corinthians is the name of three separate Pauline epistles in the New Testament? But I’m gonna assume he means 1 Corinthians 1:5 or 5:1. 1 Corinthians 1:5 is part of a letter from Paul basically telling people to thank the lord for enriching them with knowledge, and faith in God will sustain them. The actual section labeled 1:5 is “that in every way you were enriched in him in all speech and all knowledge”. 1 Corinthians 5, however, is about sexual immorality, specifically incest. essentially, Paul is angry because the Corinthians seem to have taken the sin of incest lightly, and seem proud of accepting whomever it was who was sleeping with his own stepmother. Paul commands that man to be excommunicated until he repents. Both of these are interesting because the first contains the subject of knowledge, something Richey was very interested in, and the second contains the subject of sexual immorality, another thing that fascinated Richey (or at least, sex as something useless and bland fascinated Richey). [This summary may not be 100% correct. I was raised non-religious, so I’m going off my own power of literary interpretation and random Bible sites online.]

“Canaries are always behind bars, anyway” is a quote from The Birdman Of Alcatraz, the movie about Robert F. Stroud. This is a reference to Stroud breeding canaries while in prison, and how canaries are usually in cages anyway, so they won’t mind being in a prison.

This is potentially a misspelling of “πίνει” or “pinei” which means “he drinks” in Greek. Or it could have to do with Peneus, a Thessalian river god. Peneus was the river god that turned the nymph Daphne into a laurel tree after she prayed to him to stop Apollo from pursuing her. Other than that, I haven’t a clue, unless it’s a typo he never bothered to fix.

In some interviews about JFPL, James and Nicky mention Richey being obsessed with “Van Gogh’s figure 8″, but when I google Van Gogh and figure 8 together, nothing comes up, so I have no idea what they’re talking about, unless they’re mistaking Van Gogh for another artist. They do mention that the attempt to draw a perfect freehand circle was said to drive some artists insane, and that Richey was fascinated by that idea and by perfect circles in general.

Tetsuo: The Iron Man is a Japanese film from 1989. Basically, a guy tries to turn himself into a machine, fails, and in his terror is hit and killed by a taxi driver, who dumps the body. Later, the taxi driver finds himself slowly turning into a machine/human of metal as the dead man gets revenge on him. In the end, he is made entirely of metal and must battle the dead man (the Metal Fetishist), and they end up fusing together in a phallic form. It is a commentary on the effect of technological advancements, especially the way that Japan was essentially forced to advance extremely rapidly in terms of technology.

“Verescit vulnere virtus” is Latin for “Courage grows strong at the wound” and is the motto of the Scottish Clan Stewart.Richey mentioned the motto in an interview with Time Out published in December 1994.

Levi’s are a popular brand of denim jeans. They started out in San Francisco. They were originally made to withstand hard labor and the wear and tear that comes from outdoor/farm work.Their 501 style jeans became the world’s best selling item of clothing. They’ve been the focus of some labor scandals, esp. in 1991 when they had “made in the USA” on jeans that were manufactured in China under “slavelike” conditions.

An Uzi is a type of submachine gun. It was used by Israeli Defense Forces in multiple situations. In 1973 it was reported that most uzis the IDF used had been damaged by the extreme conditions created by sand and dust.

“The naked light bulb is always wrong” could be a reference to Tennessee Wiliams’ A Streetcar Named Desire, in which the main character Blanche covers up all the naked lightbulbs in her sister’s apartment with paper lanterns. She covers lights and stays in shadows in order to hide from her reality. It could also be a reference to the cliched scenes in various crime dramas in which characters are interrogated under naked light bulbs.

Summary: Y/N is Peter’s girlfriend, and she knows that he is Spiderman. One evening, she encounters Spiderman while with her friends, who claims that she needs to go home and swings her back to Stark Tower. When the problem presents itself, she can’t help but find it terribly cute.

You had gone out for a pizza dinner with your friends, and it was around 9pm by the time you’d finished, making your way to your friend’s car.

Your friend was going to drive you home, since your car had broken down a couple of days ago and was still being repaired.

As you were making your way down the dark street, chatting lightly amongst each other, you suddenly heard a swish up ahead, and you naturally stiffened, becoming alert, even though your friend hadn’t even heard it and had just continued talking.

Being the daughter of Tony Stark, you’d grown up around your father’s adventures, and had learned to be on high alert the moment that something unusual (even in the slightest) happened.

You’d never wanted to join the Avengers or go on missions with them, since you preferred to mess with computers and machines than fight villains, but you were more than happy to help the Avengers on their missions from behind the scenes.

However, that didn’t stop you from carrying around an ‘iron’ glove similar to your father’s, which could deliver a deadly blast if need be. You’d engineered it yourself, and it usually sat, compacted into a small cube, in your pocket—it’d been in the wash too many times accidentally—but it still worked well enough.

So far, you’d never had to use it, but it still made you feel safer to have it in your pocket.

But when you heard another swish, your hand slipped into your pocket, and your friend noticed your more cautious and wary demeanour and seemed to fall quiet, too, though you weren’t really paying attention anymore. You were too distracted.

“You okay?” Y/F/N asked, concern lacing her tone.

But then a familiar, red-and-blue figure swung out from behind a building, and while your friend let out a yelp of surprise, you smiled a bit, waiting for Spiderman to land.

And he did—smoothly on his feet half a second later, as if he’d appeared from nowhere, and you said, “Hello, Spidey,” with an amused smile, especially as your eyes flicked to your friend, her eyes wide.

“Hey, Y/F/N, it’s okay, he’s a good guy, remember?” You said, patting your friend’s shoulder, chuckling a bit, knocking her out of her shock.

“I-I know, it’s just, it’s Spiderman—I suppose it’s not that surprising for you, living around the Avengers and all—but—,” she gulped, “I’ve never even seen you in person before.”

“Well, then, hey,” Spiderman said, waving adorably, and you knew that he was smiling under his mask, “I’m Spiderman. Nice to meet you.”

Your friend managed a wave back, clearly too consumed by surprise and excitement to say anything.

“I just gotta—uh, take Y/N with me,” Spiderman said, gesturing towards you, and you laughed, “She’s past curfew, and she’s gonna get in trouble with her dad if she stays any longer.”

“How do you know her name?” Your friend asked, frowning.

“Uh—,” you were about to fill in for Peter, scrambling for a reasonable lie.

But Peter said smoothly, “Tony Stark contacts me sometimes.”

“R-right, well, Y/N, be safe, okay?” Your friend patted your shoulder, “Though I’m sure you’ll be fine.” She shot a pointed look at Spiderman, who nodded.

“She’ll be fine,” Spiderman assured her, before offering his hand, “Come with me?”

“Of course, of course,” You said, unable to help the grin that crawled its way across your lips, “See you, Y/F/N.”

“Bye.”

And then Spiderman swiftly wrapped an arm around your waist, you wrapping your arms around his shoulders as he shot a web from his other arm and swung off.

When you arrived at Stark Tower and he swung you into your room, he landed silently after you on your carpeted floor, and you waited as he pulled off his mask to reveal your dishevelled-looking boyfriend.

“Peter,” You said, raising your eyebrows as you slipped out of your sneakers and sat down onto the edge of your bed, “What’s up?”

“Nothing,” He said, shaking his head, even though his nervous eyes said otherwise, “Well, I mean, it wasgetting late.”

“Y/F/N was going to drive me back,” You crossed your arms, raising your eyebrows, more in curiosity than anything else, really, “Why did you have to pick me up?”

He ran a hand through his hair, sighing, “Well, Mr. Stark would be mad—,”

“By the way,” You said, amusement lighting up your eyes, “I think that was the first time you’ve called my dad ‘Tony’.”

“I called him ‘Tony Stark’,” He defended himself.

“Still, I don’t think I’ve ever heard the word ‘Tony’out of your mouth before,” You said, shrugging, “Either way, we both know you were lying about the curfew thing—,”

“I wasn’t! Your dad said you had to be back by 9:30, and it’s 9:20!” He insisted, glancing at the clock on the wall.

“Peter,” You said, unable to help your smile, “I would’ve made it back by car fine.”

“It’s more fun to swing,” Peter said feebly, as if he couldn’t think of any other excuse, “Fine, fine. I’m sorry.”

“The curfew excuse isn’t valid, either, ‘cause I’m sure you’re not supposed to be here either,” You said, narrowing your eyes jokingly, “What time were you meant to be home, again?”

“May thinks I’m in bed,” He explained, appearing slightly embarrassed, “But—uh—it’s all good. It’s for the greater good.”

“Pete,” You said, laughing, “You’re going to get in trouble someday.”

“Someday,” Peter said, shaking his head, his eyes shining at your smile, “Not today. So it’s fine.”

“So. Why didyou have to bring me home, then?” You inquired, the curiosity still eating away at you.

Peter laughed nervously and ran a hand through his chocolate curls, “Uh, actually, excuses aside, I really need your help, it’s pretty urgent, and it’s really awkward and kinda weird to explain to you, but I didn’t want to ask Mr. Stark because that would be super weird—,”

“Peter,” You said, reeling him back to his point, putting a hand on his shoulder and shaking him a bit, “You’re rambling.”

“Right, sorry,” He said, shaking his head, as if to clear his thoughts, “Basically, Karen is messing up. Could you take a look at what’s happening?”

“Peter, I am not messing up.” Karen spoke out from inside the suit.

“So—uh—do you want me to take it off, or—?” Peter began saying, ignoring Karen.

“No, no, you can leave it on, the mechanics are easier to look at if the suit is supported,” You responded with a half-smile.

“Oh, right, thanks, Y/N,” He said, slipping his head inside the mask and blinking a few times, adjusting his eyes.

You took Peter gently by his shoulder and sat him down on the edge of your bed, lifting his mask just slightly so that you could access the technology that kept Karen running inside Peter’s suit, just above his collarbone. You leant closer, unaware of how close your face was to his as you began to examine the wires and technology.

The technology was familiar to you. You’d helped your dad build the suit, and Peter knew of it, which was probably why he had come to you for help. That was understandable, you supposed.

You were the one who’d insisted on giving Peter a ‘suit-lady’, and after much convincing, Tony finally agreed and helped you install Karen into the Spiderman suit.

After inspecting the mechanics very thoroughly, multiple times, you frowned and pulled the mask back down, readjusting it a bit so that it fit correctly, and told Peter, “I couldn’t find anything wrong with Karen, Pete.”

“Peter, I told you so.” Karen said, a bit smugly.

Peter, unbeknownst to you, was flushed and his cheeks were heated from your proximity to him. In that moment, he couldn’t be more grateful that the mask covered his reddened face as he squeaked, “I-I thought she was being glitchy.”

You didn’t know why his voice was two octaves higher. He sounded a bit out of breath, and you said, furrowing your eyebrows, “Um, I couldn’t find anything wrong, though. Maybe you could let me know exactly how she’s messing up? Did she do something incorrectly…or say something out of context—?”

“Yes! Exactly that, she—,”

“Y/N Parker, I can assure you, I am not messing anything up.”

Immediately, your cheeks heated up, and your eyes widened as you realised exactly what the problem that Peter was talking about was.

Y/N Parker.

“A-ah, I see,” You stammered, a bit in shock, just as Peter scrambled for an explanation, thinking that you’d be angry about it, “Um—,”

“I’m sorry! I don’t know why she does it, and—,”

“Pete, it’s fine,” You reassured him, leaning just a bit closer, regaining your composure, “You don’t have to apologise.”

“But I just…” he seemed to be at a loss for words, unsure of what you felt about it.

To be honest, you didn’t know what you felt about it, either—but it was warm, and you were pretty sure that that was usually a good sign.

“Maybe…”

Your voice trailed off as you reached out, leaning down a bit because he was sitting down and you were standing—and pulled the mask up, just enough to reveal Peter’s lips.

“May I…?” You asked, your voice soft.

“Y-yeah,” He said shakily, too flustered to say much more.

Before you could doubt yourself, you moved closer, your lips meeting in a gentle kiss as you wrapped your arms around his neck.

When you finally broke apart, Peter’s eyes were still closed, and he took a brief second before opening his eyes and removing his mask slowly, revealing his shining chocolate brown eyes.

Your gaze didn’t leave his as you admired his adorable features—his mouth twitching into a cute little smile.

“I suppose Karen isn’t messing up?” You asked, a bit breathless.

“I suppose she isn’t,” He replied, his voice soft, his eyes locked on yours in pure adoration.

There was a moment of silence, in which neither of you said anything, admitting each other.

Then, Karen spoke up:

“Peter, I told you so.”

Sid’s apartment was tiny, and dingy, and didn’t have an appliance that was from this century, but for a poor grad student it wasn’t bad. The one thing about this apartment that Sid couldn’t stand, though, was the thin walls.

Sid had been staring down at his thesis notes for almost an hour now, but couldn’t concentrate because every time he got in the zone he was interrupted by his neighbor coughing through the walls. His neighbor was normally quiet and unobtrusive, but for the past month his coughing had been incessant; deep, wracking coughs that made Sid wince to hear them. He felt bad for the guy, really, but it was annoying as hell. Maybe Sid should just call it quits and go to the library.

His neighbor coughed again, but this time the noise was followed by a crash and a thud from the other side of the wall. Sid jerked his head up and waited a long moment, heart racing, and tried to see if he could hear anything else.

Silence.

Sidney stood up and went over to the adjoining wall. He hesitated, then knocked once on the wall with a rap of his knuckles. “Excuse me? Are you alright?” he called out, wincing. Talking to your neighbor through the wall broke every rule of apartment dwelling.

Still silence.

Sid was actually starting to get pretty worried now. He shoved his feet into sneakers, grabbed his keys, and headed over next door. Sid knocked firmly on 371’s door. No one answered. Sid banged harder.

“Hello? Are you okay?”

This time when nobody responded, Sid tried the door. It was unlocked, which was stupid of his neighbor, but lucky for Sid.

Sid swung open the door to see a dingy apartment that was almost a twin to his own. The tile in the kitchen was maybe slightly cleaner-looking than Sid’s, but the carpet looked even grosser. It looked well lived-in, though; cheerful and comfortable with a lot of books and potted plants.

“Is anyone here?” Sid called out, and stepped hesitantly into the apartment.

Just then, Sid spotted a pair of legs sticking out from behind the kitchen counter. Sid’s heart just about leapt into his throat. He was over to the person before his brain even really registered what was happening. It was his neighbor, passed out on the floor.

Sid had seen this guy around the stairs or the mailboxes occasionally, but had never caught his name. Sid always thought he looked kind and had a nice face, and he was even taller than Sid, which Sid was definitely into. He had sometimes harbored daydreams about introducing himself someday when they ran into each other at the mail boxes, and then maybe they’d get to talking. He had never gotten around to it, though, partly because he was busy and partly because he was shy, and really, it was never a good idea to hit on your neighbors, anyway.

Today, his neighbor looked awful. He was super pale, except for red spots burning on his cheeks, his hair was tousled and greasy-looking, and he had gigantic bags under his eyes like he hadn’t been sleeping. Plus, he was passed out on the kitchen floor.

Sid grabbed his wrist to see if he had a pulse. He did, but under Sid’s fingers the guy’s skin felt really hot. He touched the man’s forehead. Sure enough, he was burning up. His forehead was so hot that it almost stung Sid’s fingers. Sid frantically scrabbled for his phone and dialed 9-1-1.

The next twenty minutes were a blur of sirens, EMS personnel, and panic. At some point Sid had grabbed the guy’s wallet from the counter and checked his ID so he could tell EMS that his name was “Evgeni Malkin,” although he was 90% sure he had pronounced it wrong. He sat there clutching the wallet with white-knuckled fingers while the EMTs checked the guy’s vitals and loaded him onto a stretcher.

Sid jerked his head up, eyes wide. Evgeni was awake. He was still lying prone on the bed, looking exhausted, but he had his head turned towards Sid and his eyes were open. His eyes were brown, Sid noticed for the first time. He still looked just as kind as ever, though.

“You’re awake,” Sid said dumbly.

“Why you here?” Evgeni finally broke eye contact with Sid and scanned the wall behind him. “Where am I?”

Sid wanted to kick himself. Of course, Evgeni was confused. He had no idea what was going on, and was probably scared.

“You’re okay,” he said, trying to sound as reassuring as possible. “You have a pretty severe case of pneumonia and passed out. The doctor said you were dehydrated, but as long as you take antibiotics and take care of yourself, you’ll be fine.”

“At hospital? But why you here?”

“Uh, I’m your next-door neighbor. I heard you pass out through the wall, and called an ambulance.” Sidney flushed, and broke eye contact. “Um, I’m pretty sure they think I’m your boyfriend. Sorry.”

He darted a glance back at Evgeni when he didn’t respond. Evgeni looked dumbstruck. His eyes were wide, and mouth slightly open, and his face looked slightly redder, although it was hard to tell with the fever. “You—boyfriend?” he managed.

“Sorry!” Sid knew he was bright red now. “They just assumed, and I didn’t want to leave you alone in the ambulance or hospital so I kinda went along with it. Sorry, it was super creepy, I’m sorry—”

“Sid,” Evgeni interrupted him. “Is okay. I’m not mad.”

“I’m Canadian,” Sid responded automatically. “But, Geno. I can do that.

“So,” Sid continued awkwardly. “Maybe we should go on a date, since they think we’re boyfriends and all?”

Rehab Punch List Getting Ready for Market

This property was bought for $130,000, which was kind of amazing considering just how big this house is. We don’t typically do houses this large. In the end, we only ended up spending about $23,000 on the rehab.

Repairs Needed

This two-story, 5 bedrooms, huge lot was definitely larger than we normally do. The rehab itself really wasn’t too difficult. The house was in pretty good shape and just needed some updating, as far as the inside went.

However, the roof needed to be replaced because of some significant structural issues. There was a big hole in the roof on the outside near the back of the house, and a hole on the brick wall facing the side yard. That definitely needed to be patched and fixed.

Other than that, the house was in pretty great shape. We cleaned up the front yard and the trees that overhung to the roof. There was a really nice deck in the backyard that was in good shape. All we had to do with that was sand it down and give it a new coat of paint. Typically, we like to leave decks if they’re good quality.

Then, on the inside of the house, we updated a lot of what was already there. The countertops are replaced with the granite that we like to up in our houses, and we always make sure to replace all of the old floor with our signature wood vinyl and new carpet in the bedrooms. We repainted the walls in a nice neutral grey color, to keep the house clean looking.

After the floors and walls were updated, the appliances needed to be changed out. The shower heads were old, as well as the sinks in the bathrooms, so they needed to be replaced. If the kitchen appliances are in good shape, there’s no need to replace them (that’s just extra expenses). Going back to the rehab punch lists process, I also bring the scope of work with me. I do this so that I can double check that all of the items on that list got completed during the demo. The key when you’re doing a rehab punch list is to go slowly, you definitely don’t want to miss anything important. Having your scope of work list with you will guarantee that you revisit those items, but more importantly, you want to keep an eye out for any little things that might have gone unnoticed the first time.

For example, during the demo process, it’s inevitable that things are going to get bumped, scraped, chipped, or installed incorrectly. There have been so many times where I go back to do a rehab punch list and find outlets are installed up-side-down. It’s things like that that can go unnoticed if you don’t take your time with the punch list.

What I Look For

There are a lot of little things as far as safety goes that can be over looked. Especially when you have something like a deck at one of your properties, you always want to make sure there’s no structural damage. For instance, this house had that great big deck in the back yard, but it was a two story deck. Not only did we have to make sure the stairs on the deck were safe, with the appropriate hand railing, but we also needed to double check the safety of the railings and banisters were safe on the top section of the deck.

Always, always, always make sure your doors are sealed. That’s such an easy thing to fix, and just as easy to over look. You never want to miss the weather stripping on your doors. A good way to tell if a door needs a new seal is just to close it from the inside and see if there’s any light showing through from the outside. If there is, then you’re going to have to replace it.

The same goes for your windows. In fact, we had a house where we upgraded the windows to ones that open from side to side, but were installed opening up and down. Always make sure your new additions to the house are installed correctly!

Speaking of doors and inspections, a lot of times an inspector will look for a fire rated garage door. This goes back into that bit about safety we were talking about. If your area doesn’t require fire rated garage doors, or if you don’t know, it’s still worth while to make sure you get one installed. It doesn’t take long, and it doesn’t cost much. At the end of the day, the safety of your house is the most important thing to have.

Besides safety, there are other big things to look out for when you’re doing a rehab punch list. The things I keep an eye out for are:

Leaky sinks

Making sure all the lights turn on

Clogged drains

Making sure the showers and bathtubs turn on

Nothing blocking the garbage disposal

Double checking the dishwasher

Now you know what I look for in our rehab punch lists. The most important thing I look for when I’m double checking my properties to get them ready for the market is everything that will be looked at in an inspection. As long as your properties meet inspection standards, you’ll be ok.

The next thing I look for is the quality of my rehabs. If I removed a wall, or added a wall, or did any major repairs like that I always double check to make sure they came out the way I wanted.
