🌙 And if by chance you picked out a horror movie, he's the biggest tease possible.

🌙 In fact, he'll try to scare you while you're watching it . . . and even after.

🌙 And because it's nighttime, he only finds it easier to scare you.

🌙 He'll try to stage things that connect to the movie you watched just to freak you out.

🌙 For example, if the victim in the movie heard a lot of strange sounds in a quiet atmosphere, he's gonna do the same and make you think it's some monster/ghost when it's not.

🌙 If you pick out a romance movie, he's not into it at all even if he's not watching it.

🌙 He'll make the smartest comments about it and call it stupid and cliche.

🌙 You can’t recall how many times he’s scared you by doing this. You always scold him about it afterwards.

🌙 You get that he’s supernatural, but seriously, it’s a lot to take in since some jumps seem impossible to make. He’s all about taking risks, but would never allow you to get hurt.

🌙 Might even coax you into having sex with him in the woods, especially after turning back from his wolf form since he’s naked.

* So far, I've only played the first installment of Final Fantasy 7 Remake because I currently do not own a PS5, but I'm working on it. The Compilation of Final Fantasy 7 is my absolute favorite series of all time. I could watch Advent Children ( original and complete ) on repeat, and I've played the original release so many times that I don't even need a guide to get a 100% on a brand new save ( Obsessed much? Yup ). I'm a completionist at heart, and this game is amazing and it provides a massive sense of nostalgia for me.

** SLIGHT SPOILER (maybe? You've been warned) Another amazing installment in the Final Fantasy series, this game is so well written in my opinion. It stays away from the bigger cliches you see in most RPGs ( eg : the guy gets the girl, friendship is the key to saving the world, etc. ), the characters are so individually complex, the villain technically wins and reminds you how easy it would be for you to become the same type of monster. Plus badass women that fix your car, lights up entire cities, wakes up the fucking Gods to fight on your side, takes the entire mercenary army they led and defects to your side? IN HEELS? YES PLEASE. It has one of the best enemy turned ally characters in the FF series; I'm just disappointed we didn't get to see much of Aranea after everything in Tenebrae. Also Ardyn has some serious daddy vibes, and I would literally give my left tit just to lick Aranea's boot ( oh, the things I would do to these two, phew~ ).

*** Let's be real here. The Kingdom Hearts Series makes zero sense if you didn't play all of them and you didn't pay attention to each and every detail, and I did neither. I played 2 and 3 when they originally came out, but in my defense: it doesn't look like a series that follows a singular story, something that I did not know at the time, and usually the series I play have an entirely different story per installment ( eg : Final Fantasy and Tales Of ). I tried to piece together the story from online synopses and second hand game play ( I watched someone else play ), and it just didn't work out. So, suffice to say, my knowledge of Kingdom Hearts goes about as far as basic facts regarding Organization XIII because they were my whole reason for trying the games in the first place. I'm still open to discussion about it, though! Just keep in mind my side will be very limited. Sorry!

Last year, I started this bingo as a follower celebration. I never would have thought that an amazing bonds and friendships would be formed. So I’ve decided to run this challenge again, and am opening it up to new participants.  A bingo to challenge to write a story!

I want you to tell me something about you. I want to get to know you through your stories. It doesn’t have to be big and it doesn’t have to be small. The point is that I want to know something about the person behind the stories.

Spooky Season approaches!

We hope that all you big spooky fans are having a good summer, and that you're as excited to get spooky as we at Trickety-Boo are! October is fast approaching, and the time has come to put out the prompts for our Trick-or-Treat!

What’s the Trick-or-Treat again?

The Trick-or-Treat is us knocking at your door and asking for all your sweetest and spookiest seasonally-appropriate Good Omens works! We’re sharing the prompt list now for you to get inspired by (below the “read more” for your scrolling convenience). You can use these prompts to create your lovely fic or art OR you can come up with your own! Either way, submit the final product to us starting at the beginning of October and we’ll share them with the world!

Do you write fluff/angst/crack/general/smut, combo, etc? Why?: Mostly fluff & humor because I’m kind of soft and I really love a feel-good fic. Any angst I write is typically resolved by the end because I live for a happy ending. And occasional smut strictly for the spice. 

Do you write OCs, X Readers, Ships...etc?: OCs & xReaders. 

Why did you decide to write for Tumblr?: I love/hate the format tbh but mostly because of my tumblr community. I love being able to meet and talk to new people easily thru the platform. 

What inspires you to write?: Everything! Songs, movies, commercials, personal events, etc. Sometimes it’s just a word, phrase, or picture.

What genres/AUs do you enjoy writing the most?: I’m a major sucker for friends/strangers to lovers! and I LOVE a good Mafia/Gang/Assassin!AU. On the opposite end of the spectrum, you can catch me writing dad!au stories. 

What do you hope your readers take away from your work?: I just hope it makes them feel good. Laugh, smile, cry, yell, uwu, just- all the emotions. 

What do you do when you hit a rough spot creatively?: Take a break. Read a book, dive into a k-drama, binge a few fics. Sometimes I just have to put the laptop away until I’m ready to start again.

What is your favorite work and why? Your most successful?: My favorite story is probably ‘Over The Top’ with GOT7’s Bambam. It’s a dad!au about bam’s twin boys’ first birthday party. I’m quite attached to their family dynamic in the story and may even revisit twin terrors Somsak & Somchai in the future. Most successful? Probably the ‘Bubbles’ series, a Monsta X OT7 fiesta. I had a lot of feedback while posting that series and made a lot of friends. (It was also my first actual fic & it jump-started this blog!)

Who is your favorite person to write about?: Jackson Wang or Park Jinyoung from GOT7 and Han Jisung from Stray Kids. 

Do you think there’s a difference between writing fanfiction vs. completely original prose?: This is kind of a tough one because, yes- as a fanfic writer I’m using a real person as a character, however, the storyline, the dialog, the emotions, the actions of the characters are all organic. I could take any one of my stories and replace only that person’s name and it would be considered entirely original. So, I guess I would say it’s not so different. 

What do you think makes a good story?: Great dialog. 

What is your writing process like?: Sometimes I get an idea and go straight to word vomiting and editing. Sometimes it’s planning the title, characters, tags list, & summary then not looking at it for a few weeks until I’m ready to write it. 

Would you ever repurpose a fic into a completely original story?: Yes. All of my stories are AU (non-idol verse) so I would totally repurpose them.

What tropes do you love, and what tropes can’t you stand?: Love: friends/strangers/enemies to lovers, + grumpy character only soft for their love interest. Dislike: Love triangles, angsty slow burn, cheating, etc.

How much would you say audience feedback/engagement means to you?: IT IS EVERYTHING. I love reading tags, getting aks, getting messages, it warms my heart, and really motivates me to keep going.

What has been one of the biggest factors of your success (of any size)?: When I write and I really like my own story, it feels like a success. 

Do you think fanfic writers get unfairly judged?: Yes, they certainly can be. I think people who don’t understand fanfiction can have a very narrow mindset and belittle fanfic writers because of that misunderstanding.

Do you think art can be a medium for change?: Yes. Even if its something as small as changing one’s mood. 

Do you ever feel there are times when you’re writing for others, rather than yourself?: Not usually. I try to only write things that make me happy and if I ever get requests I’m not into, I usually won’t write it. If I’m not enjoying myself and the story, it’s not worth the pressure I put on myself to write it.

Do you ever feel like people have misunderstood you or your writing at times?: It’s definitely possible, but I haven’t had many issues with this so far.

Do your offline friends/loved ones know you write for Tumblr?: My mom, dad, sister, husband, and two other friends know.

What is one thing you wish you could tell your followers?: I’m always here to make you laugh and smile, whenever you need it. I hope my stories can bring you joy.

Do you have any advice for aspiring writers who might be too scared to put themselves out there?: Do it for yourself. If you are enjoying yourself then it’s worth it. 

Are there any times when you regret joining Tumblr?: I love this hellsite. I’ve been here since high school and I have no regrets.

Holiday Movie Challenge Prompt and Badge lists

Hellooooo shippers of all Marvel ships!

This marks the kickoff to HEA (Happily Ever After) Marvel’s Holiday Movie Challenge! If you don’t know us, we’re a group of crafty mods under the direction of our own personal Pepper Potts ( @betheflame​​ ), so really, this is going to be great fun, and we hope that you’ll join us!

A brief intro to our event:

At no point do you need to sign up for this event. You are not beholden to post anything, even if you say that you will. This is a guiltless, fun event!

Pick a prompt, any prompt!

Interpret the prompt any which way you wish. We have prompt examples available for people to peruse on our blog and on our Discord, if you’re in need of a few examples.

Write (or art, podfic, or moodboard, etc.) any ship you want, even polyamorous relationships of any number or type (even if the prompts contain just two characters!).

Include additions from our badge list if you wish! They function like video game achievements (think World of Warcraft, or Xbox) and you will be rewarded with little achievement badges designed by the wonderful @kocuria​ that you can display anywhere you please.

The collection will open on November 1st and close on December 24th.

Around then we will provide a Google form to submit the badge info and other info for your fic.

Prompts

1. Character A is a big city lawyer who swore to never go back to their hometown. Suddenly, their grandfather dies and leaves them the family Christmas Tree farm. They’re determined to go back and shut down the farm. Character B runs the farm and is determined to save it.

2. After losing their job as an au pair in New York, Character A accepts a position as a nanny in the castle of a small European principality no one has ever heard of. Character B is a single parent & ruler of the country.

3. When architect and Christmas amateur Character A finds themselves hosting their family for Christmas, they recruit holiday coordinator Character B to bring holiday joy to their home.

4. A high-powered executive reconsiders their priorities when car trouble leads them to Christmas Valley, a town in love with Christmas.

5. Two new students at nearby university, Character A and Character B, meet the first day of classes and become study partners. A local bookstore becomes a close part of their lives as their relationship grows.

6. Character A - a famous author who writes about how to stay single - is forced to look after their niece and nephew over the holidays. With the help of their Christmas-loving neighbor, Character B, they learn to find love and the Christmas spirit.

7. A young royal (Character A) escapes their entourage to explore New York City over Christmas. They meet Character B who shows the beautiful stranger their side of the city.

8. As Christmas approaches, Character A (the Lizzie Bennet character), a New York event planner, is sent to a quaint, small town to organize their holiday festival. When they arrive, they find Character B (the Darcy character), a high-profile billionaire lacking in holiday spirit, in the process of selling the charming estate they hoped to use as a venue.

9. An anxious bride-to-be (Character A, “bride” is non-gender assigned) throws in with broken-hearted and cynical Character B and a happily married couple for an emergency ride to NYC from New England.

10. Character A has to go to their cousin’s holiday wedding that’s taking place a year to the day they were left at the altar. Unable to face going alone, they con Character B into going “just as friends.”

11. When a restless young married Character A is granted a wish by a Christmas Angel to be single again, they soon discover their new life isn't what they bargained for, and embark on a quest to win Character B back.

An apology, but a story.

Okay guys, sorry for uh, talking so much about Pillowfort lately. I do mean it when I say I’m still here to stay until Tumblr totally dies, and I know I’ve been posting a LOT of PF content, but I’m also trying to help tailor an environment over there where this fandom can thrive. Add in momma’s heart attack and coma and my dash has been a hot mess and bare bones of my usual content, and I apologize.

But at the same time I’d like to sort of tell a bit of a flashback story of social media, fandom, and why I really do hope the best for Pillowfort. Some people are too young to remember the slow death of Livejournal, and I’m having like, flashbacks from that. I wasn’t in SPN fandom itself at the time but I was on LJ, so if you’re 

worried about your friends leaving

kind of upset at some friends trying to manage both

Let me give a little bit of history to explain what people are doing right now and why.

Long long ago, in a digital world far away when the internet still screamed at you when you connected to it, fandom wasn’t really globalized like it is. Twitter didn’t exist. Eventually Facebook was a hot new commodity not everybody adopted immediately. Tumblr wasn’t a sparkle in anybody’s eye. 

Fandom was mostly relegated to php forums and places like Livejournal. Livejournal proved to be -- at the time -- one of the best methods to engage in fandom. You could have your own journal, but you could also join communities with your account and comment on long discussions. 

There were weaknesses of this to be sure. Notifications were pretty raw to nonexistent compared to how we know of them modernly. You had to basically manually check the comm to stay on top of things, and what was said in that comm was choked to that comm. Now, that had its strengths: you could control the community and posts, ergo minimizing flame wars, but it made fandom a bunch of pigeonhole wings and, to be honest, echo chambers. Lots of things got missed, overlooked, and what have you. And god help you if you pissed off a big name fan in your wing that owned one or most of the communities you went to. Replies and the ilk were pretty limited on what you could do, too. But it was something. It was more than just a standard forum. You could still try to cross-engage.

Then came the LJ Purge, which... is pretty much identical to the Tumblr purge. New rules banishing NSFW to the depths of the internet, some out of control censorship, targeting all LGBT content no matter how pure as NSFW and explicit -- you name it. They didn’t really have wildly out of control filterbots, that’s a new modern invention just to shit in our bin a little better, but you get the idea. What happened -- and is still, more quietly, now that the shock has passed -- to Tumblr is what happened to LJ. People lost mountains of work. 

Now, LJ didn’t die overnight. It died over the course of a few years. Some people left fairly quickly, others tried to stay aboard. For example, Destiel fandom was fairly young at the point the LJ Purge kicked off, and were already sort of outsiders among the fandom newsletters that were more Gen or Wincest doused at that point because -- well, duh -- they had a several year running start on that platform. The communities, as above, were really regulated. There just wasn’t room to breathe. Sure, they had their own comms, but once material started vanishing, they were much more eager to, en masse, migrate to a new platform. And yes, some stayed behind longer, because people, even in shipland, aren’t a borg.

Other communities, like gen or Wincest, stayed behind longer. They had years of built up work and huge communities they were attached to there and it was a lot harder for them to let that all go. But it didn’t get better. More quietly, once the hysteria ended, people just lost their will to continue to use livejournal and they more dribbled across.

Some went to Dreamwidth back then. Some went to tumblr. Long term, tumblr worked for everybody until now. Dreamwidth was pretty much Livejournal, minus censorship, plus a few bells and whistles but it worked for a few people, but let’s face it -- that’s not where central fandom ended up.

Now, people are talking alternatives. Some are saying to go back to Dreamwidth. I refuse. 

Because there’s a reason it wasn’t the most successful platform in the past and we’ll go back to completely segregated fandom like before and 

because certain aspects of fandom that DID go to Dreamwidth and stay there, have still been there, and are a huge thorn in the side to almost anyone with their head screwed on straight, Destiel fandom or not. J2 tinhats are the eternal asscramps of the fandom and they’ve squatted on dreamwidth for their crazy ass tinhat page for years, god knows they probably went to adjacent communities, god knows how ingrained they are into it, and I am NOT willing to deal with that level of horse shit again.

Pornhub tried a grab, that didn’t work, as it shouldn’t, for a list of reasons as long as my arm; Mastodon was suggested, but has a huge issue in some of its other channels that people don’t want to float in the vicinity of. 

And then there’s Pillowfort.

So look, Pillowfort is young, it is a smolbabe. In a few months it went from 4K users to 25K users and is growing innumerably by the day. Its servers are struggling. That turns some people off. I get that. But that isn’t permanent.

So first of all, early pioneers are what make migrations work. Just like LJ had its initial members, and then tumblr had its early migrators, places like Pillowfort can be the same. Dreamwidth already has its foundations. That’s redundant, and foundations I’m not even going to touch, much less the regressive, divisive form of communities that will segregate all of us again. It’s fine if you aren’t one of the first people to take up the platform. The people ahead of you will start laying down content and communities and, if it works out, you can join in when you’re ready.

So what makes Pillowfort so fucking special?

Okay, so check it out. On tumblr, we’re used to reblogging shit into the bowels of the internet. As Pillowfort grows it, too, has that capability with some differences.

The boldest difference is that when you reblog, your opinion doesn’t get attached to the end of the post. It just reblogs the base post. Some people initially complained and thought that was the loss of a feature but came to realize it’s a blessing.

You see, that means someone can’t kidnap your post with a shitty opinion to reblog it to their friends with a shitty opinion that all attach their heckling shitty opinions. Like, let’s say it’s someone that’s Destiel fandom reading this. Ever had an anti shit reblog your post and it run wild? Well, now, if they try to reblog it, all they reblog is... your Destiel post. Thanks for that.

So how do we actually say what we need to?

Well, fam, it incorporated elements from LJ/DW, in having threaded replies. Multiple threads if so needed. The threaded replies are capable of housing just about anything an OP has. So a blog post has, alongside Like/Reblog notifications, comments. Open the post, read the comments, start an actual conversation with some merit. Did some douchebag come to spam your comments since they can’t reblog? No problem, delete their shitty comments and block them, problem solved.

But it doesn’t end there.

See, like LJ, PF has communities. While your post can reblog just about anywhere just like on tumblr, you can blog or reblog them into the communities you follow. Anyone following that community, whether they follow you directly or not, gets that turning up in their feed, maximizing your spread. So sure, it’s a young platform and you only have 20 followers or whatever, but if you make a general Supernatural style post and blog it to the SPN com, 300 people (at current) see it. If you post something to the Destiel comm, over 200 people see it. It’s a way to even find new accounts and friends.

If you don’t like something that’s turning up in a community, you can blacklist shit. And/or find a more appropriate community if it gets out of hand to you.

When you make your own communities you can have internal discussions or blog in/out posts, you can set rules, promote moderators, remove or ban problem users, and generally control the flow of your community to keep out shitlords. But, if for example, you subscribed to a community that turns out to be secretly run BY a shitlord because, IDK, maybe they don’t like that you think Sam is bi or something, most of these communities are large and blog in/out/engageable enough that you won’t lose your contacts, you WILL find your people over time, and you won’t be completely choked off to a singular abyss.

So the base beat is

PF treats every single post like any root post on an LJ/DW comm, but is able to be reblogged from/to communities or your own blog page as freely as tumblr.  PF takes the best concepts of current and previous fandom platforms in its base application and lays a groundwork that literally all of us can prosper on if it survives and continues. 

But that’s the catch.

And it’s cool if you aren’t ready to completely take that leap yet. I get that.

“I kinda like PF but it doesn’t have X feature-”

Okay look, PF is a smolbabe, like I said. It’s in beta. The thing is, they’re adding things every day. They have a dev list like 2 pages long for goals and things are getting crossed off and added like, biweekly. It might already be on their list to add. And if it’s not, guess what?

The staff actually give a shit and react to questions and concerns. There’s entire beta groups to talk about features with bugs, and/or features that should be added or adjusted. There’s a comm to talk directly to the staff about things.

A small, young platform needs people willing to be out there saying what would improve the experience. So if you go there, you’re not just fandom pioneers, you’re social media pioneers if you so choose to be. It’s not mandatory. You can just fan in your space how you want. Or you can go to the beta groups and staff groups and tell them what you think would improve the experience. 

And again, it’s okay if you aren’t willing to move right now.

I’m not moving entirely. I’m double blogging, and will return to my regularly scheduled blogging on tumblr here soon, now that my life is calming down and I got most of my PF heavy lifting out of the way. But I want to make a nest in case this does pan out to be the next forward horizon, rather than taking a step back to something like Dreamwidth that segregates us all again. I want to help them build that platform. 

But I’ll still be here with you guys.

Please try to understand the history, please understand what they’re doing and why they’re doing it, and just try to encourage them to cross blog where you can/will engage. And if you’re feeling daring one day? Try to poke your head into PF.

I have one remaining key that I’m willing to give a really good fandom creator. I gave one to a meta-mind and I’d like this to go to a heavy, inclusive gif creator, because that’s still a sparse art on PF. You’d be the belle of the ball just for crossposting your work, in a place that DOESN’T have a threat of it getting deleted when tumblr throws a hissyfit. Just post on both. Tada. Suddenly you’re the popular kid.

How old were you when you first realized you liked guys getting hurt?: Oh, gosh. Honestly, I can’t remember a time when I didn’t know I liked it.

What was that very first scene you remember gave you those glorious butterfly feelings?:  I can’t remember a specific scene, but I remember whenever I’d be home sick from school (which was often), there were always re-runs of the old 60′s Batman series on TV and I would sit there, glued to the screen, enraptured by the bondage and the peril. I was too young to understand it as anything unusual or remotely sexual, but I knew it was thrilling and that I absolutely loved it and wanted to see more.

When and how was it that you realized “Hey, I’m not so messed up in the head!” and that there’s a definition and community for this sort of thing?: For me, it was LONG before the Whump community we have now. When I was in high school, the Internet was still in its infancy. Everything was just text at first, lots of forums and chat-rooms and websites were all text-based. But I used Yahoo (this was a few years before Google even existed) to search for the things I was interested in... and I found the world of BDSM and started making friends with ladies just like myself and started identifying as a Domme. It was amazing. A bit later, I discovered MulderTorture Anonymous and became hooked on the kinder, gentler world of fandom hurt/comfort and bondage/peril in mainstream media. As an asexual (though this was before that term was ever really used), it was FAR more my speed than the sex-driven kink world. Though, to be honest, I never really felt truly at home in either community until the introduction of Whump with the Stargate fandom. It was so liberating to see women enjoying vulnerable men in peril and pain, but not necessarily in a BDSM context, and with the HURT being given as much importance as the comfort that (hopefully) followed. Use of the term and appreciation of that kind of content seemed to lull after that show ended, though. You’d still see the word here and there, and still see people appreciating that kind of thing, but not with enough regularity to really ever form a community. And then Tumblr started getting a few Whump blogs, and a few more, and I decided to start one myself, and then it all just... EXPLODED. And it’s amazing. I love it. When I started my blog, I literally followed every single active whump blog I could find. Now, only two years later, there are so many of us that doing so would be impossible.

What’s your favorite whump trope?: Captivity. I love men being kept in chains, cells, cages, ropes, manacles, medical restraints, you name it. Kidnappings, abductions, home invasions... I just love when a bad guy just takes control entirely and forces the whumpee to do anything and everything they’re ordered and/or forced to do. And I love sexual whump. Man-on-man rape is a big favorite of mine, as I feel like it’s just the coup de grace of men abusing other men. It’s sexual, it’s painful, it’s violent, it’s traumatic... it’s just a smorgasbord of awesomeness and leaves the victim with deep emotional scars that no other form of physical violence can quite compare to.

What’s a whump trope that you hate?:  Death. I’m a HUGE fan of predicament bondage and the “slow dipping mechanism” trope that Austin Powers skewered so brilliantly. Unfortunately, the most depraved and creative predicament bondage scenarios show up in horror films like the Saw franchise, where they always end in gory and horrific death scenes. I also dislike graphic gore. I want the focus on the VICTIM and their physical and emotional plight, not unnecessary close-ups of skin splitting apart and blood oozing out. Oh, and stuff that just makes you recoil, like eyeballs and fingernails.

What’s your favorite whumped character?: At the moment, Killian Jones. Although for the first time ever, I’m actually into the actor BEHIND the character, so I’d basically go for any character Colin plays getting whumped :D

What’s that whumped scene(s) that you’ve watched over and over again. (We know you do it and we understand): Oh, man. I love the whump scenes in Once, of course. And in all of Colin’s work. I also like some of the whump scenes in Supernatural. I don’t know them well enough to list episode numbers, but there’s one where Castiel is in a white shirt with his hands chained over his head, getting tortured... Mmm. Love that one. There’s also one where Dean’s strapped to a table, I think it’s the one with the non-Supernatural crazy family. There’s that Terra del Ray (I think? I have it saved somewhere, haha) telenovela where Arturo (I think?) is being held in a shed by a woman who used to be (and still is, I think?) in love with him. He’s tied up and chained and beaten and... Oh, boy. It’s hot. I like when Danny Messer got abducted in that van in CSI: NY. I like when Nick got buried alive in CSI. OH! Those great scenes in The Legend of the Seeker with the dominatrix tribe, whatever they were called. That stuff’s great. I have a weakness for random soap opera bondage, haha. I love the stuff from 90210 (the new one) with Matt Lanter handcuffed and tape gagged. Of course, Jamie’s torture and rape in Outlander. I like when the hot guy in H5-0 is held captive and tortured. I think it’s happened a few times, but there’s one in particular I really like, because he seemed especially broken. Oh, the crucifix scene in Emerald City. I LOVE crucifixion, but it’s so seldom done outside of religious works. OH!!! And the best movies ever: Buried, Catch Hell, and Brake. Kit Harington’s whipping in Pompeii is nice. That never gets old. Umm... I can’t think of anything else off the top of my head, but there’s a lot of great stuff out there. Oh, and Brandon Flowers’ Crossfire music video. That’s EPIC.

Bullet or stab wounds?: Stab wounds. You have to get up close and personal to stab someone, as opposed to shooting them, which you can do from across a room. Also, there’s usually multiple stabbings involved, which introduces an element of psychological torture to it. The victim knows each stab is coming, but can’t prevent them.

Fevers or Hypothermia?: FEVER. I mean, don’t get me wrong, hypothermia can be great, too, but fevers are just way better. Especially when they need an ice bath to bring the fever down ASAP and the whumpee cries and is too delirious to understand why their friends/family are doing this to them.

Emotional or physical?: BOTH. What good is one without the other?!?!

Injured and asks for help or tries to cover it up?: Either one. They both have their charms!

Lastly, does anyone know about this addiction of yours?: Oh, almost everyone, hahaha. I was very loud and proud about my kink identity as a Domme, so liking men in pain is kinda part of the territory ;) I think my Dad is the only one I’ve never overtly told or talked to about it at some point... and while I’m sure he knows just as well as everybody else, I like to think he doesn’t. Just... let me live in denial on that one, mmkay? XD

NOTE: all opinions expressed here are mine, jack’s, belonging to jack. i make no claims to knowing what is best for every group – i only offer advice based on my experiences, what i’ve seen in the community, and my personal knowledge. no one person knows what is best for you or any group other than yourself; because you were the one who put all of this together in the first place. so take everything i say as a suggestion, and remember that you have accomplished so much!!

So on first glance at the main, while personally I’m not a big fan of contained themes (something I say in a lot of my opinions but seriously, it’s the choice of the admins) you guys have definitely utilized the space and what you’re given to the best ability. Personally I’m not sure having to scroll for long asks works well with your page but if you haven’t had any problems with it so far I don’t see a problem with it in the long run. Your color palette is really interesting -- like that lighter tone but with the muted psd that ends up washing out the color tones? Normally for a supernatural rpg I’d say something darker might be what you want to go for but in this case it actually works?? When you look at the encompassing plot to take the color scheme in, I mean. I also like that you have the admin names and timezones listed at the bottom, though it took me a minute to realize they’re hovers.

The one suggestion I’d make is your main links don’t have a hover to tell you what they are: if you know how to add that I’d suggest you do so, just to make it easier for people. [ In the code, go to where your links on the main page are, should be something like: (symbol code), all you have to do is put this in: title=”ASKBOX”>(symbol code) and you’re good! If you choose to pursue this let me know and I’d be happy to help. ]

For your Collapsible Sidebar: I think it’s a great idea and I don’t know if it came with the code or if you guys manually put it in, but it really works in providing more information for people like me who aren’t too fond of the minimalist structure of contained main themes. One thing: “truly” is misspelled as “truely.” Like with the ask portion I don’t think having enough content to make it need a scroll is a good idea, simply because of the space it takes up? You don’t end up needing to scroll to see anything hidden but it does have a small scroll bar that sort of makes things uneven. Maybe cut a line of text? I like all the links your provide as well, because they’re informative, clean, and give a potential member what they would need.

So in looking at your Plot page is when I noticed the contrast between the text color and the background color on the posts is kind of similar -- it might be harder to see for people with selective color blindness or who have worse eyesight than I do, and I have four eyes already. Maybe consider making one lighter or the other darker? Just to emphasize the difference between them for accessibility sakes. The content however is good and summarizes everything well while also giving that sort of “previously on…” vibe needed for rpgs like yours with a bit of background knowledge needed in order to engage a character fully in the group.

Your Rules are good and cover all the bases I look for in an rpg, however there are a few things I had questions about/wanted to bring to your attention. For one thing, your first point about “all adult content being under a read more” sort of contradicts/confuses itself with a later point about “all smut/nsfw content must happen on a different server and not on the dash.” Do you see what I mean? Because reading the first point makes me think I, as a potential member, can write smut so long as it’s under a read more, and then you tell me I have to write it somewhere else. Maybe find a way to put those two points together and say “yes, smut needs to be on a different server, but when you post it please use a read more.” Also, “NSFW” is a tag now flagged by tumblr’s updated content policy, so you shouldn’t ask your members to use it lest their blogs be flagged; “smut” is the current workaround used by other rpgs including my own. Your members will understand.

Your informational pages (Districts, Species, Founders, etc) I’ll compile into one paragraph because I don’t want to waste your opinion on things that you created and I really don’t have a place to judge. I will say that because of the large amount of content on your Locations page you might want to consider condensing it or finding a page theme that suits your needs? There was just a lot of scrolling and I ended up getting lost after a while. Also, you might have Funeral Home listed twice?? You definitely do but I couldn’t tell if they were different locations. For your Founders page look at the theme you use and see how it looks outside of the text box; because it does look a little disjointed. Separating them with line breaks like

might help, but otherwise maybe change up the stylizations you use to show they are different contents.

Your formal Character Page is probably the best I’ve seen out of all uses of that theme -- including my own. The fact that you guys have painstakingly taken the time to crop and design each unique person’s image with the same background and fit them to the psd coloring you use is, honestly, it’s like a designer’s wet dream to be honest and I love it. While the dozen or so filter categories ends up being “a lot” after a while I can understand why you wanted to do it and what you’re trying to achieve with them. Just so you know, under the Halfling section you have a character listed as a “Half Elf” but she doesn’t appear on the “All” section of the halflings. Might be an error but I wanted to point it out.

Your Applications (Wanted included) and forms in general are well formatted and easy to navigate and understand. I like that you included a sample application at the bottom! Is there a reason the only different applications are for the Ghosts and Demons but not the other species? If so, ignore that question! I trust y’all to know what you need for your group.

My FAVORITE THING about this rpg: the completion of your concept. You guys knew you’d have a lot to include and work on in what you were thinking and there’s honestly nothing that I’m not given that leaves me thinking “I need more information on this.” Or at least nothing that I don’t feel like I can reach out to the admins about, you know? So well done on taking your idea and bringing everything needed for it to the table.

My LEAST FAVORITE THING about this rpg: your spelling and grammar errors. I debated finding everything I could catch and including it but it ended up being more of a chore on my part than anything. There are many places where things are misspelled, the incorrect tense is used, the it’s vs its rule isn’t followed, and other grammar choices aren’t followed correctly. This totally happens! Nobody's perfect. But I had grammar hammered into me so I notice it more than most. My recommendation is just go through each of your pages and either put them through a check like the one provided on Microsoft Word or find another way to go through your content with a spell/grammar checker. It does a world of good for professionalism and just looking like a more well-run rpg.

OVERALL I’m a fan of your group! I like the fresh take on the supernatural-people-living-in-a-town concept and the way you change up the genre in your own way. You’re complete, like I said earlier, but there are just a few extra steps that can be taken to turn this good rpg into a great one.

Who the heck is/are my muse(s) anyway:

In the main crew, we have Sammy, a nerdy ghoul boi who is the embodiment of Samhain (of the Celtic calendar) and Guardian of the Veil; Nightshade, his soul-sister and cat-turned-human witchy familiar; and last but not least Axel, the sadistic, cannibal crow mythos who’s only interested in revenge and fucking people (up).

They’re all super old and supernatural and 2/3 are always happy to meet new people!

Points of interest:

Samhain & Nightshade: guarding the Veil, keeping the balance, protecting innocent humans and mythos alike, adventuring and exploring new places, meeting people and learning new things. Sammy enjoys reading, treasure-hunting and getting lost in his research. Nightshade enjoys cooking, eating, listening to music, and keeping up with the latest memes.

Axel: looking for the biggest, baddest, toughest rivals he can fight to the death with, enjoys challenges, exploring new places, witnessing genocides and mass-murders, causing genocides and mass-murders, fucking people (up) psychologically and physically.

What they’ve been up to recently:

Samhain & Nightshade: their work and responsibilities as Guardians of the Veil. Though the Veil is at its thinnest during Hallow’s Eve (31st Oct), they work 24/7 by hunting malicious spirits and whatever dangerous creatures threatening both humans and mythos that are already existing in the world. When not on the job, they’re either out sight-seeing and visiting friends or chilling at home. They also run a small business from home by making potions, charms and selling spells or rare ingredients. Merchants and traveling caravans often stop by their place so they always have a lot of stock to trade.

Axel: whatever the fuck he wants. Mostly spends his time hunting down prey in the human world, or spreading his wings and exploring new and faraway lands/dimensions. He’s still on his quest to journey to Hell and get his revenge on the demoness who killed his whole family. Always easier said than done, but he’s patient and he plays the long game better than anyone.

Where to find them:

The crew live on an abandoned, magickal island called Sundown. Geographically, it’s somewhere up in Northern Ireland but can’t be marked on any human map. It was magickal long before any of them settled there and because of its supernatural properties, it can hide itself from the naked eye. At the same time the island and its forests are connected to every labyrinth, maze and neck of the woods across worlds and dimensions.

Samhain is always saying that the island has a mind of its own and likes to spirit people away, regardless if their living or dead. People either end up in Sundown when they least expect it, or because it’s where they’re supposed to go.

While you can easily find Samhain and Nightshade at home, Axel can’t stay cooped up in once place too long and travels all over the place. When he’s not hunting, he escapes to the quiet of the wild or the bustling big cities.

Current plans:

The narrative starts with Samhain and Nightshade already experts in their fields and doing their jobs as Guardians of the Veil, and continues with them helping Axel achieve his goal of ultimate payback. The timeline for this blog is infinite after that because I haven’t quite figured out the endgame for anything just yet. Which is why any plot that involves Axel killing Ketele, getting his heart back, and even Nightshade’s life after Samhain’s death, is considered an AU.

In terms of plans for this blog, I’m still working on things so that they can fall into place and serve as proper material for a comic. Once I’ve gotten all my ideas sorted out, those AUs might probably not stay AUs and end up being one huge main timeline.

Desired interactions:

I’d love more threads that explore the darker side of Samhain, whether it’s in the Mainverse or in any of the AUs where he’s not his usual, warm, friendly self or where he’s morally grey. Which is why I love writing him in his criminal verses! Some of my faves are: - Pirate AU: He’s the first-mate and quartermaster who has the gift of ‘Sight’ but he’s as pirate as they come. - Green Eyed Devil: Human-Ghoul hybrid bandit whose crew would do almost anything for money. - Mobprince AU: Classy and more reserved, the quiet but bloodthirsty type. I’ve always been a fan of mobs/gangs/syndicates. - Dark!Samhain: Angsty, overpowered hermit. I rarely get opportunities to write him in this verse which is a shame because I’d like to develop it more.

Nightshade’s all fun and games but once in a while, it’d be refreshing for Nightshade to do a serious thread. Like maybe deal with heavier, more sensitive topics. I’ve emphasized how she’s seen the same amount of horror Samhain has seen but comes out more mentally resilient in comparison, so I’d really like to explore that more about her. I also feel like she hasn’t been able to really connect with anyone as a real friend?? Idk how to explain it but like, I feel like she just floats between different muses and she’s so friendly with everyone, it’s hard to pinpoint whether there is a real connection between them or if it’s just Nightshade being...Nightshade? It’s none of my partners’ faults BTW! I’m reminding me to fix that about myself and how I write her.

Speaking of darker topics, I don’t mind pushing the boundaries when it comes to Axel as long as it doesn’t make anyone uncomfortable. I used to write some disturbing shit with him back in the day (like he broke into a drug lord’s flat and killed everyone in it so he could use it as his personal nest, killed and ate two police officers who were investigating the break-in, mutilated, tortured and ate a rapist alive after catching him in the act etc.). But the partners I used to write with are long gone and I feel like Axel needs to get back into the game again.

Some are just really small and still in development, and not enough to justify getting a spot on that list. Though the blog is advertised as a WEEKEND blog (cus I work 9-5 on weekdays), I am usually lurking online thanks to mobile and will answer IMs when free. I don’t like replying to threads on mobile so I’ll usually reply on the weekends. Unless I’m busy that weekend, then sometimes I change up the rules and reply on a Friday or whenever I’m able.

When I reply to threads, I like to release a bunch at a time and then I’ll tag my partners so that they can see how many threads I’ve replied to out of the total count, like so! The total count often changes because we could have dropped threads in between, or partners go on hiatus and they get moved from ‘ongoing’ to ‘cold’ threads. Because of this, I have a threads page which I try my best to update.

moby vs. your muse, probably. 👀

friendly reminder and fyi to anybody who might want to argue their muse is stronger than moby, on account of ‘oh! my muse has superhuman strength and senses and fast reflexes!’ and etc...

so does moby. 

she is, as i’m developing her, a deity in the making, edging closer and closer to that level tier. she will continue to evolve, pushing the limits of her abilities further and further as she ages and grows into adulthood, as well as she continues to practice and explore what she is capable of at present time.

but she is powerful, even without them. she is the best parts of both of her parents and was raised in a household where all her mother and father knew for most of their lives was to fight. fight, fight, fight, whether it was to terrorize for fun, to kill on command, to protect what they had, or to survive so they could live another day. one of her three uncles is also ex-military where he’s from, and another one studied for years at one of her planet’s most renowned dojos-- the same dojo whose students taught her mother, too. all of these people have had a big impact on her upbringing, making sure she would be able to thrive in her environment once she stepped out of their corner of the world and into a greater civilization. and she did.

moby knows martial arts. she also knows anatomy like nobody’s business, knows pressure points and where it’ll hurt the most and what will kill you the fastest. coming from a planet where werewolves, vampires, and other supernatural creatures are common, she is also privvy to most of these species’ most generic weaknesses (since specific disadvantages do vary across breed and can be a mountain of information impossible to access).

she is also strong. moby has a toned musculature. she has a toned back and a toned stomach, thick strong thighs and she has noticeably toned arms with a light bulk built for strength. even casting that aside, she’s a creature crafted from the strengths of a hellish demon that was once a metahuman and a centuries old shapeshifter bred from a long, pure line of its own kind. she has supernatural, superhuman strength meaning dense muscle fibers and dense bone with plenty of resilience and durability to her. she can rip the roof off a car like its a cardboard panel and hoist the front of a van from the ground with her bare hands. she can crush a human skull in her palms or with a couple easy blows and rip a limb straight out of its socket. her teeth can cut and grind bone and her claws can shear flesh like its paper.

admittedly, moby is not super fast-- she cannot get from point a to point b in some invisible sprint unseen by the normal eye and she can’t dodge a bullet point blank. but, she can miss arrows, she can catch them at a reasonable distance, and has been trained to anticipate an opponent’s moves in close combat, as well as how to deflect them and defend herself, all while carrying plenty of power to end things easily if she finds herself face to face with something human.

this is NOT considering moby can increase her bone density or the density and size of her musculature if she needs to, assuming she’s fed well enough that day to last her long enough to win a battle. this is not considering moby can grow several times her size, can become one of thousands of creatures or a myriad of many. and this is not considering that soon, she will also be capable of shifting into a swarm with a floating conscientiousness like a hive mind, and via a very similar method, be able to break down and even multiply (to a limit) into a particle-like mass that can be very, very dangerous.

to top it off, she is also extremely hard to kill with only a few surefire ways to either finish her off for good or incapacitate her long enough to make her far less threatening. and, yes: for those of you who have ever looked at a shapeshifting character -not a werewolf or werecat, but a true shapeshifting species that can change form and size- and wondered... “wowie, couldn’t they just... idk, turn into like, a fly or some tiny animal, crawl inside someone and blow them up from the inside by turning big again??” YES, moby can do that. and yes, she would and has done it before. roleplay etiquette is the only thing stopping her because i don’t want to be a dick but is it totally within her character? yep.

basically, is moby over powered? i guess you could say so. is that a problem? it shouldn’t be. i’ve been developing her every day with a lot of things being taken into consideration, debating this and that, and not only that, but a lot of other muses are overpowered. it’s the way they were built and few ever make that a problem if it’s a canon character. just because this is an oc shouldn’t be any different, because i’ve noticed a trend time and time again that although tumblr asks and begs for stronger women, muscled women, women that can kick ass and conquer civilizations or bring a man to his knees, almost nobody can look at let’s say my muse (and some other female muses, i’ve noticed), and just freaking say without argument, “yeah, your muse can kick mine’s ass.” it’s always gotta be some pissing contest. well, after being told over and over even BEFORE i made moby (with my other muses, especially her mom) that my muse is the weaker one? that they’ve gotta submit to some other muse for this and this reason?? (and believe it or not, sometimes it’s an ooc reason!) i’m saying nope. not this time. only a few blogs i’m following have a muse that can defeat moby WITHOUT utilizing one of the surefire ways to kill her (this is NOT me saying there aren’t at least a dozen others that can’t go toe to toe with her though bc there are PLENTY). 

but, yeah. if you’ve actually read all this and have an issue with it, or want to fight me on anything i’ve said then, honestly? i don’t want to hear it. feel free to unfollow me. especially if you have a bad issue with the possibility my muse is stronger than yours. i’m just really tired of this having to be a thing so i’m coming right out and saying it all. also: if you aren’t sure and wanna know if your muse is one of the ones i said could defeat moby on a typical day, then let me know as long as you aren’t gonna be mean about what the answer may or may not be. i otherwise don’t mind talking about it.

300 Followers Celebration!!

You guys, I finally made it to 300 followers!!! Granted it was last night and is now 304, but I decided to wait to post since it was so late that way people would have a better chance to see it. I can’t believe it honestly! This is just so amazing and I am just so thankful and appreciative of all of you lovelies!!! Seriously, thank you so so much, all of you. This really means a lot to me that all of you guys, in some form or another actually want to witness my nonsense.

So to celebrate this milestone, I’m doing another challenge. The catch is, that instead of like before where you got prompts for yourselves, you all get to choose prompts that you want me to write. I love writing, and I don’t post my works nearly enough, so this seems like a win-win for everybody! :)

How to Avoid Spoilers and Spoiler Etiquette for Tagging

Did you miss this weeks episode? Have you missed this season’s episodes in general? But you still intend to watch it and don’t want spoilers?

There are a few things you can do. Most of them means you need something like Tumblr Savior or XKIT. Basically none of this works on mobile. 

1- Blacklist the show.

This seems obvious but a lot of people still need to be told to do this. I sometimes will get angry that someone posted something without tagg- ... oh look I forgot to blacklist this tag, nevermind my bad. Seriously. Did it just last night. I was about to be pissed when I realized that the post was tagged. I, for some reason, hadn’t bothered to tag for the show nor the show’s spoiler tags.

Get preemptive with this shit. Most people are reactionary with their tagging. I blacklisted this show because something already got spoiled, but I should have known to blacklist it before.

If you’re just a week behind, you can just blacklist the spoiler tags. For instance, I have “supernatural spoilers” and “spn spoilers” blacklisted all the time, unless I’m 100% up to date and usually the season needs to be over. Right now I’m a season behind so I have “supernatural” and “spn” also blacklisted.

2 - Blacklist your main ships/fav characters.

If you’re like me, you probably end up following a bunch of people that either post exclusively about the show, your ship, or your character, or they at least post some good content along those lines. Well, just to be safe, especially if you don’t want spoilers for those ships/characters specifically, blacklist them until you catch up. 

Unfortunately, a lot of people think tagging ships or characters is mutually exclusive from tagging the show. Back to my supernatural example: I follow someone that posts a lot of destiel, but they don’t always tag destiel posts as “spn” or “supernatural.” They do almost always tag those posts as “destiel,” however. So the ship gets blacklisted.

There is also this notion being pushed in a lot of corners of fandom that you shouldn’t tag a ship or character, especially if they’re very, very popular, with the media name because it “floods” the tag. That’s bullshit. A huge reason to tag is to allow for blacklisting. At the very least, tag it with the spoiler tags. This keeps it out of the main show tag (kind of, not really, tumblr is garbage) but still makes it easy to blacklist with one or two tags, instead of needing tags for each character and ship.

3 - Unfollow people.

This is one that works on mobile. It’s also the least favorite one. Some people try to tag for spoilers. Some people just keep forgetting to tag when, for instance, they live blog. Or they’re reblogging and they don’t tag anything. Maybe their on mobile and can’t be bothered to tag/tag “excessively.” Maybe they don’t give a fuck.

I used to follow a lot of people that seemed to have zero regard for other people when it came to spoilers. A huge reveal from the flash was spoiled by some jackass (read: really nice person who didn’t think before posting) that saw gifs of the reveal, felt strong emotions from the reveal, and reblogged without a single fucking tag. At the time, I had everything blacklisted. “the flash,” “the flash spoilers,” “flash,” “flash spoilers,” several ships, a few characters (including the character the reveal was about). But all the blacklisting in the world won’t help if they don’t fucking tag it...

4 - Blacklist the blog.

... unless you blacklist the blog itself.

Sometimes you don’t want to unfollow. Sometimes, you’re emotionally attached to the blog or you want it there for when you catch up. But they don’t tag. They never tag. I follow several blogs that are predominantly shadowhunters material. And let me tell you, very few actually tag the show “shadowhunters.” They don’t tag “malec,” they don’t tag “sh spoilers,” they don’t tag “sh cast.” Which is sooooooooooooo frustrating.

Some blogs have said they don’t need to tag because you’re following them and you should know that’s all they post. I followed a coldflash blog that refused to tag coldflash for just that reason. However, a general trend, when blogs refuse to tag because everything would be tagged that way... they tend not to tag anything actively useful. In my experience, these blogs are less likely to tag for triggers, very rarely tag spoilers, don’t tag for cast posts... If they’re a gen blog, some tag for ships and characters, but if they’re a ship blog, that’s unlikely.

So if you follow a blog that doesn’t respect spoiler rules of etiquette, blacklist them. You aren’t unfollowing them, they’ll be there when you’re ready, but you can now control your experience with them, where previously you were unable to.

NOTE: This can work in other areas too. Is a blog taking a turn in tone? Maybe blacklist them for a while and see if it reverts back later. Is the blogger going through something that makes a lot of their posts upset you? It’s okay to blacklist them and cut yourself off from that, you don’t owe them anything. Do you really like the blogger but suddenly their posts, which you’ve always enjoyed before, are weighing on you or pulling you down? Blacklist them for now. That’s okay.

5 - Take a step back from tumblr.

This also works for mobile /s. I’ve taken a step back from tumblr for a lot of reasons. I left the site for about 6-8 months a year or so ago, because I was becoming obsessed with needing to see every post on my dash. I’ve gone off for a week or so because I got pissed off at spoilers. And sometimes, when I know there’s going to be a lot of content that everyone’s talking about and I can’t avoid, I’ll bunker down. 

Bunker down, in this case, refers to remaining on the site but only accessing your own activity page. You can see who interacts with you, directly, but you don’t have to see what everyone is saying independent of your posts. This can be a preemptive form of control on your experience.*

This is sort of like the “abstinence” form of avoiding spoilers, with bunkering down being sort of like the 2nd base of fandom interaction.

You can still message people and reply to asks, with this tactic. The goal is to stay off your dash and out of browsing. Control your input by just interacting with reactions to your posts or direct conversations with bloggers.

* Note: This can work really well if you are being overwhelmed by a trend on your dash/the site, as well. If you’re following discourse blogs, for instance. Sometimes things get to heavy and bunkering down can allow you to temporarily escape that and still feel like you’re involved.

Now let’s get into spoiler etiquette. Here are some suggestions for keeping your blog free of spoilers and making it a safe place for fans that miss episodes.

1 - TAG YOUR POSTS!

I know this seems obvious but I like to think I already demonstrated how blogs fail to tag. If you are a shipper that keeps tagging the ship and not the show, tag the show. Especially if you post during/immediately after new episodes. Your ship might be what the post is about but there can be spoilers for unrelated matters included. The same goes for character posts.

If you’re a blog that is 100% show/character/ship, still, TAG YOUR POSTS. Does it get tedious tagging every post if you’re posting a lot? Sure. But still do it. If you don’t care about the spoiler thing (kind of douchey but whatever), do it for the spreading of your blog, as your posts will not be included in tag searches.

If it’s simply that you don’t feel like tagging every post, get Auto-tagger on XKIT (I don’t know if there are similar features on other extensions). Auto-tagger let’s you set up words/phrases to always tag with. You can control this based on post type, where the post originated, etc. I use this feature to keep the tags from the person I’m reblogging it from - I can erase their specific, commenting tags and keep their pertinent ones without having to type it all in. If you’re a blog that ONLY posts malec, for instance, set it up to tag malec on every post (and “shadowhunters” or “sh”).

If you’re a live blogger, set it up before the episode to tag all your posts with the spoiler tags. Or give your live blogging a specific tag and warn your followers. Be consistent week to week so your followers can block a single tag. Remember that your followers see your last post before the earlier ones, so it’s easy to miss the post where you say what your tag is. Make it well known.

2 - Put things under cuts.

When a huge reveal happens, consider putting posts related to that under a cut, at the very least the night of the airing. This is also considerate of mobile users. If your follower is then curious and opens the post, it’s their own damn fault that it’s been spoiled.

This can also prevent your loyal followers from spoiling things as well. That huge flash spoiler I discussed from earlier? That was from a misc blog. Someone’s personal tumblr that they posted all their fandom shit on, their life stories, their selfies and interesting bugs they found walking to work, etc. They just jump the gun on posting and are inconsistent with tagging, particularly in the frenzy of postings and reblogging after a new episode. Had the big reveal been under a cut, I wouldn’t have cared that they reblogged without tags. I wouldn’t have clicked the keep reading.

3 - Get XKIT.

In case you brushed off #1, because you don’t tag your shit and you don’t want to tag every fucking post, let me be clear.

You can get a plugin on XKIT that auto tags all your posts. All of them. You don’t do anything. You can set it to tag all your picture posts as “pics,” you can set it to tag all your reblogs as “not my shit,” you can set it to tag your posts with the blog names you reblogged from. Whatever. You can do near anything with it.

Not wanting to tag because “it’s too much work” is you being willfully ignorant that actually it doesn’t have to be.

4 - Tag *in* post.

A lot of people complain that they’re mobile users and so tagging is a lot of work and also they can’t get XKIT, blah blah blah.

Well blacklisting works for shit in the posts too. So hit that post with a taglist at the end: “sh, sh spoilers, shadowhunters, shadowhunters spoilers, liveblogging,” whatever. If you’re posting a lot, copy the tags you should be using. It’ll save you time and it’s not difficult.

5 - Don’t tag with JUST the word “spoiler(s).”

This one always gets me. A blog tries to be courteous. Maybe not all their followers have seen the new episode. So they tag it. But they tag it as “spoiler.”

That doesn’t do me any good. If I blacklisted the word “spoiler(s),” then I’d be blacklisting every single post that might be a spoiler. If I specifically don’t want to see spoilers for teen wolf, so I blacklist the term “spoiler” itself, now I don’t get most of the posts about the dceu. About mcu and infinity war. About other shows/movies/books just coming out. About meta specifically about the nature of spoilers (like this).

When something is blacklisted, you can choose to still see posts on a case by case basis, but if they’re just wrapped up in a “spoiler” ribbon, how will I know if it’s one of the safe spoilers (i.e., not specifically the show I was targeting with my blacklist) or the actual spoilers?

If you’re going to tag, thank you. Seriously. Thank you. But please, tag specifically.

6 - Don’t use ambiguous tags/tags used for other things.

Speaking of specific tagging, hey, be specific. Actually make sure your short hand can’t be confused with something else/is used only (or nearly exclusively) by your show.

If you did a search on tumblr right now for “spn,” nearly every post and blog is about the cw show supernatural. However, let’s look at teen wolf and game of thrones.

The traditional shorthand for game of thrones is “got.” See a problem? If I blacklist “got” then I blacklist everything that uses those three letters/that word. Someone says, “I just got the new pokemon!” ... blacklisted. 

Then you have teen wolf, which gets referred to as “tw” a lot in conversation. Understandable. However “tw” IS NOT a good tag for tagging the show. I just did a tumblr search on “tw” as a tag. While all of the “related” tags were from the show, of the first six featured blogs, one was about the show teen wolf. Two were about eating disorders, one was about self harm, one was an asian porn blog, and one was actually a supernatural trigger blog. Because supernatural is always relevant.

A good chunk of the posts seem to be about teen wolf. A good chunk are also about eating disorders and self harm. This is because, while “tw” is technically the initials of the show, it is predominantly used on this site to refer to “trigger warnings.” If I blow “tw” then I am blocking absolutely every post marked “tw” for trigger purposes (tw self harm, tw food, tw incest, etc). If I want to block that trigger, I will. There are a lot of triggers that don’t bother me and it’d be annoying having them blocked.

Recently over at @autism-asks we had to switch our referencing and tagging of “special interests” from “si” to “spin.” This is because “si” is widely already used to refer to and tag “self injury.” We want people to be able to tag for what’s relevant to their needs, so we adjusted accordingly and asked our followers to do the same.

So before using short hand, maybe do a tumblr search. It works best if it’s without blocking explicit content. If you decide, for instance, you wish to tag posts about “billy joel” as “bj”... well, you might be surprised at what that actually encompasses on tumblr. There might be words you aren’t familiar with, multiple acronyms might exist, or other communities might already have adopted that tag. “st” can stand for either star trek, stranger things, or numerous other things (I found star wars posts, photography, steven universe, spirit tracks, and porn because there’s always porn).

If you insist on using an abbreviation, consider using a modifier. “tw mtv” or “tw tv” for instance. The flash fandom often tags things “flash cw” and most (considerate) sherlock fans use “bbc sherlock.” This prevents posts about something like adobe flash, flash fic, flash big bangs, etc from being blocked, or from other shows with characters of the same name (sherlock from elementary or the rdj sherlock movies or the original books) from being blocked when you’re only trying to block a single show.

Probably the most effective thing, though, is something only @staff can do. So tumblr @staff, maybe work blacklists into the site itself so everyone can use it. So that blacklists can be tied to the account itself. You know how useless ns/fw tags are if you’re actually using mobile, a public computer, a work computer? I can’t implement XKIT on every public computer I use. The block feature is great, it is, but blacklisting isn’t the same as blocking. Most users don’t want to block every blog they might need to blacklist tags for. So please work that into the site.

Okay, so before you guys get mad at me, i’m sincerely sorry for not uploading this..I honestly forgot to post it here on tumblr because I saw that it was already updated on my wattpad so I thought that maybe it was also done on tumblr..but it wasn’t..so an honest mistake that somehow took me a few months to notice...but anyway here it is! and i’m back! for like a few days only because I am finally entering my Thesis year..hopefully, and that i hopefully get to finish college on time and with my blockmates ♥ hope you guys enjoy this! and I’m trying to recuperate myself back into writing so i’m trying to see what plot there is that I might be able to start wit. Love you all so much for sticking with the Isaac lahey imagiens blog! Also i finally was able to finish season 6 of Teen Wolf..damn the whole thing hit hard on the chest with dem feels.

"Who's he?" Thor asked, his baritone voice could make any lower ranking wolves-or maybe even other supernatural creatures quiver with fear. But to Deaton, he only looked at him before looking at you with a friendly smile. "We don't like anyone going near our Luna-"

"Thor, it's alright." You could almost chuckle at the sight of Stiles just behind Deaton trying to not look at your 2nd in command in the eyes, the intimidating aura of your beta affecting him-this brought back memories of Derek and Stiles' interaction that made you smile.

"What seems to be the problem, Y/N-" Deaton asked.

"Luna Y/N." Thor almost growled, cutting off the vet at what he thinks was a sign of disrespect in calling the highest-ranking werewolf without their title.

"Thor," you called out, a growl almost erupting in your throat in annoyance. You knew he means well but sometimes it was always a bit too much.

"It's fine, they're friends. You may go." You finished your command with a smile to which he bowed before going out the door and closing it with a soft click, you were sure he'd be in front of that door looking like a bouncer.

You were currently inside Deaton's animal clinic, specifically the room where most of the McCall pack meeting was held.

"You have a scary beta." Liam commented glancing at the closed door before looking at you.

"That, she does." Stiles agreed from beside Scott, who only nodded in agreement from across the room beside Deaton while Isaac only watched and naturally brought you closer to his side with the arm wrapped around you.

"That means he's doing his job," you smiled fondly.

"So, what's happening?" Deaton asked again, looking towards you, to Isaac then to Scott.

"I really don't have much recollection as to what happened that night, all I know was that I was about to sleep and then I felt this pain on the back of my neck." You explained what you remembered as much in detail as possible, your hand unconsciously rubbing the back of your neck-right on the spot where you felt it hurt the most. "I slept-or blacked out-or whatever, but all I know was that when I woke up, I was already chained up."

"Chained up? Why?" Mason then asked, looking just as interested in the whole story as those who weren't there that night when the werewolves in your pack decided to call Scott.

"I told some of my trusted deltas to do it-even Thor." You gestured to the werewolf who was now standing just near Stiles who turned around to see where you were pointing at before jerking in surprise, accidentally bumping his knee against a metal table and letting out an "Ow."

"Since when was this 'losing of control' of yours been happening?" Deaton asked, his brain already working out and trying to figure what were the possible answers and solutions.

"I don't know probably a few months or more?" You answered, trying to recall when it actually started happening. "Probably from the place where we stayed the night that messed me up-messed us all up, I guess."

It was only an assumption that it all started there, but it may also not be. Ever since then, a few months or so passed and the occurrences of losing control of your body and mind just kept happening-it was not only putting the others around you in danger, you were also a danger to yourself. And being an Alpha-Luna of a pack, the people under your leadership would start to see you unfit for the position.

"What place? We've been to many places that messed us all up." Stiles spoke up, his mind already going through the catalogues of places you've all been to.

"The motel," you answered, flashbacks of those horrid memories still hunted you.

"I can't find Y/N anywhere!" Allison's worry was evident on her face as she looked around, almost tripping the last steps of the stairs going down.

"It's happening to her too, isn't it?" Lydia, Stiles and Scott all followed down the stairs as they tried to look for your whereabouts.

Before anyone can answer the question, Isaac was already running up the stairs they just went down on while all four looked at him questioningly. But they didn't need an answer when they looked up to see a familiar silhouette that shone in front of the moon on top of the concrete that held the Motel Glen Capri signage.

Your eyes held misery and fear as you slowly walked over the edge of the structure, flashes of your pack members dying in the hands of the alpha pack-new born pups, young and old, everyone. And they all blamed it on you, their screams cursing you.

"Y/N," Calling you from behind, Isaac had his hands up in caution as he slowly inched towards you to which you also inched closer to the edge. "Come here. Please."

You can see your reflection in the tears that was filling the rim of his eyes, you stood there as if you've made your decision clear in ending it all then and there.

"You don't want to do that, please." He begged. He never usually did but at the moment he was ready to kneel down just begged for you to stay put. And don't leave him.

You could only shake your head 'no' while tears endlessly flowed down your cheeks, and without anyone registering what was happening next, you've already stepped on air before you felt yourself falling down.

Isaac didn't know that he would be able to cover the distance from where he was and where you were just milliseconds ago, he had managed to grab your arm just as you were falling. But with the gravity and height of where you both were, your arm got dislocated. You let out a hiss from the pain before letting your eyes wander up the hands that held you while letting a low growl, your claws from the other hand ready to swipe and cut at the dislocated arm. If you were being held from plummeting down, the best and quick solution now for your forever sleep was a great amount of blood loss.

"Y/N, don't-" you were now starting to swipe and cut deep on the arm. You were so concentrated in cutting and slicing the now useless arm Isaac held on to that you didn't get to hear Stiles and Scott shouting to Isaac. With the idea of snapping you out of this suicidal trance, Isaac smashed the LED light signage on the letter M of the motel before struggling to move you near the heat.

And before the last swipe that would drain you of your blood and killing you in the process, Isaac managed to let the hot LED light touch your skin immediately waking you up from the daze with a yelp.

You tried to shake the oncoming feeling of goosebumps at the memory, Isaac noticing this, only rubbed your arm in a comforting manner while leaning down and pressing his lips to your head-lingering there just so he could show you that everything was going to be okay.

"But it was the wolfsbane that this to them," Lydia spoke up, remembering about the coach's whistle that contained the powdered flower. "Is it possible that there were still some residue left?"

"I doubt it," Deaton answered, still deep in thought.

But before anyone can say another word, lights started to flicker and an eerie buzzing noise came from all four corners of the room. Your heart then started beating fast while your palms grew sweaty as you tried to remain calm, you prayed for everything to stop and let you rest from all this chaos that was rising in you.

"No, please." you whispered to yourself breathless, if it weren't for the heightened hearing of the werewolves in the room, they wouldn't be able to catch what you just said.

"Y/N, what's wrong?" Isaac was now cupping your cheeks, making you face him. But you had your eyes shut with your brows furrowed, the familiar pain in the back of your neck making itself known.

"No, no, no..." you mumbled, willing yourself to fight back and remain your own person.

"Luna!"

"Y/N!"

Slowly, bit by bit, the pain subsided and something static was deafening your ear from hearing anything else. All your senses heightened to a degree when your muscles recognized the deconstruction and construction of your bones to form itself into a very large wolf.

Everyone in the room started hearing the same noise you heard just moments ago, while fluorescent now gave up and flickered off and providing only darkness. With flashlights from the cabinet and cellphones, Deaton, Lydia and Mason were the ones providing the light while the wolves relied more on their night visions.

It was suspiciously quiet as Isaac's eyes turned to his side to find it empty.

"Y/N's gone." He announced, sounding frantic as they all looked from left to right to see if you were still there by any chance.

"I have a very bad feeling about this," Mason glanced around, his phone providing light for him.

As he glanced at the far corner of the room, he guessed that he wasn't the only one who noticed it. Almost blocking the doorway stood something large with glowing amber colored eyes, its stance was that of an aggressive yet threatened predator.

"Y/N," Isaac called, recognizing your wolf form but somehow your eyes differed from it's blue-almost silver- colored ones to these fiery looking pupils.

A/N: And that ends that for now... for those who are still requesting or will be requesting an imagine (or simply send a message), you don't have to ask permission about it because my inbox will always be open. And for those of you who are still not able to read your requested imagine, I am trying my best to think of how I can write it into an imagine. But i hope you guys understand that sending me something like "Can you make an imagine where Isaac and I make out?" is already a consideration in all my writing therefore I don't really consider that as a request.. I mean I can compile it with the other request to make a story line that you guys would enjoy (hope you get my point :( ) and I dont know but there are some who still send requests with the same plot as those imagines I've already done therefore I could only choose and write those I find interesting or because the plot hasn't been done before. I'm sorry for this but I hope you understand :((
