Looking up more näcken folklore for LitL, and found that they are an omen for drowning accidents. Näcken would scream at a particular spot in a lake or river, and later, someone would drown in that particular spot.

So, imagine Jolly, just screaming like this-

at nothing in particular in a river, and then boom; dinner for Jolly.

The Bonuses: So every once in a while McFarlane Toy Store will toss in some extras as a bonus. Usually figures that are dinged up or have minor damaged. These are the first such bonuses that I’ve received and sadly they are all Batman. Batman Earth-11 aka The Drowned, Armored Batman from The Dark Knight Returns and Death Metal Batman. Not to be ungrateful, but I’m not entirely sure what I’m going to do with these. The worst-case scenario is that they awaken something within me. ;) Thank you, Toddfather.

Here my AU : what if Tadpole had survived ?

   Hawk managed to save Tadpole from drowning. Following this, Sasha brings her kits to Riverclan, in fear of the dangers she faces as a loner. Tadpolepaw becomes Stormfur's apprentice, but a problem soon becomes apparent: Tadpole is traumatized by his drowning and is afraid of water. He can't fit in it, swim and fish. Stormfur tries to help him, but his fear is too much. Leopardstar humiliates them immensely for this, and Hawkpaw imitates his mentor (Leopardstar) and distances himself from his brother, who feelsl miserable. Mothpaw is very supportive of Tadpole, but he still falls into a sort of depression, refusing to eat, believing that, not being as useful and worthy as the other warriors of Rivenclaw, he has no right to eat for someone as weak as him.    Hawkfrost eventually attempts a reconciliation with his brother, feeling ashamed of his behavior, and teaches him to swim, believing that a son of Tigerstar shouldn't let himself die. Tadpole is grateful to him, even though he disapproves of Hawk's behavior towards their father, as well as his false omen for Mothpaw.    Tadpolepaw finally becomes Tadpoleleap (so named because he jumps better on land than he swims). The Great Journey takes place, and Tadpole must say goodbye to his mentor Stormfur. Arriving at the lake, Tadpole is recruited by Tigerstar alongside Hawk and Brambleclaw to learn how to fight. But he does not love his father, and moves away from him. When he sees Hawkfrost slowly sinking, Tadpole talks to him and manages to bring him to his senses and prevent him from carrying out his plan to kill Firestar.

Saw a post about helping people that used the analogy of "if you see someone fall off a cruiseship and theres a life preserver ring on the wall next to you do you walk away or do you throw them the life preserver? Of course you throw them the life preserver." And i dont want to add to or tag the post with any sort of correction because its literally not the point at all but i am desperate to say that the first thing they teach you when you work on a cruise ship is that if someone falls overboard you Do Not Look Away

If theres a life preserver nearby but you have to turn your back to get it, tough luck. If theres someone nearby who can't hear you but you could run and get them, absolutely not. You see someone go overboard you point at them and never ever let them out of your sight because looking away even once could mean losing them forever, so you just have to trust that someone will hear you scream for help but you cant for any reason look away

And maybe that adds to the life preserver metaphor somehow but mostly i just need you to know if you spot someone in the water you point at them and you watch them close and you scream for help
