#the movie was fine but I kept thinking how it could have been improved
Text
watching last voyage of the Demeter in the cinema like “I have a unique connection to a 1897 classical novel that nobody in this cinema understands. Only I truly know these characters, they are my buddies, my pals, they are my homeboys , my rotten soldiers... oh wait, they invented a new viewpoint character for the movie”

Day 20: reading together
Tumblr media
Masterlist flufftober 🎀
Reblog if you liked it!
“If I didn't love you so much, I'd probably be strangling you right now,” you muttered, watching from your spot on the couch as Spencer broke the spine of the book he had just gotten.
Although you two were very skilled readers, which had brought you together in the first place, your book care habits were very different. You could stand him writing in the books and bending the pages, but the first time you saw the man break the spine of a book you almost screamed to stop him. You were the type who opened the pages only as much as necessary, loaded them into a special bag, and used only post-its and pretty bookmarkers in them.
“I already told you that this is more comfortable and gives life to the books”
“It doesn't give them life, it kills them” you sobbed dramatically, while you raised your feet a little so that he could take a seat on the couch and once he was, he took care of placing your legs on his lap “What is this one about?”
"Physics. I want some distraction”
“Oh, sure,” you laughed ironically, as if it were common to read physics books to clear your mind.
You had been reading, for a couple of weeks, The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks, because the movie was one of your favorites in your youth and you wanted to know how much the book delved into the story of both lovers.
You were used to these kinds of moments with him, because since you had started living together your literary discipline had improved, so you tried to continue with your reading while he started his.
Everything was fine until you tensed when you felt his hand coming down from the cover to hold your leg firmly. You looked down from your book and a shiver ran through you when you noticed that he was able to hold all the flesh of your limb with those hands; big, calloused, and warm, always so expert at touching you just the way you wanted. But Spencer was so focused on the book that he didn't seem aware of what he was doing to you, not even when he started to slowly stroke you with his thumb.
You tried to shake the distraction from your mind and focused on the printed lines, the only sound being the turning of the paper pages in your lover's book. Spencer's fingers traced patterns and drummed on your skin, to the point where you got used to it and stopped paying attention to the tickling he was doing with it.
“What happened to you here?” Spencer asked suddenly, feeling interrupted by curiosity to know the origin of the bump his fingers had touched. You closed your book slightly and looked up to see what he was talking about.
"That? I think it was from a fall when I was little.”
“Sometimes I'm surprised to think how many things I still don't know about you,” he murmured, with unexpected sentimentality. His hand went up and down your leg while he maintained a thoughtful attitude “You are like a book; I think I know you well enough and when I look at you again you have a different meaning or I find something new about you”
“At least I hope you don't break my spine” you laughed and you heard him laugh too. You readjusted yourself on the couch until you were sitting next to him and you placed a kiss on his cheek, so he took the opportunity to surround you from the side “No one had ever compared me to a book.”
“I like being innovative,” he said, quite proud of himself, feeling how you fit better against him.
Once again one of his hands remained busy on your body and with the other he kept the book open, taking a little more time than usual to turn the pages. You carefully opened your reading and continued to enjoy the tragic romance the story told, having your own happy romance at your side.

Pairing : Jude bellingham x reader
Themes : Angst

Hi! It’s 4AM and I just had an overwhelming feelings to write something in 30 minutes before I go to sleep. This is my first fic and am no where as talented as those amazing fic writers. Please go easy on me! This fic is heavy on self-doubt. Please skip if it could trigger you.
p/s : I don’t know how to properly work on this app and still trying to figure things out. I am also still learning about leaving warnings before any fics so please forgive me if I use the wrong warnings and such! Promise I will improve on this! 🥹

Growing up as the only child in the family, Y/N grew up and learnt almost everything on her own. Well, not everything as in raising herself but no one was there to keep her accompany as she watched her favourite tv shows, no one was there to tell her that Hogwarts wasn’t a real school, no one was there to tell her that she won’t receive any letters from Hogwarts like Harry did, no one was there to play Barbie with her. She thought it was fine and never cared about it because she eventually learnt it all by herself as she grew up.
But no one was there to teach her about love.
She read about it in novels that she borrowed from the library. She watched movies like “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” and thought to herself that love is beautiful but she never imagined herself to fall in love nor did she imagined herself capable to make someone else’s fall in love with her but then,
but then she met Jude Bellingham, a kid who went to the same high school with her.
She met him through a mutual, who thought it would be fine to play cupid and pair these two together because they thought it would be an interesting pair, a shy, introvert girl who had never been in any relationship and a friendly guy who got along with everyone, the one who had been in multiple relationships.
Of course, Y/N didn’t know how to differentiate if it was just a silly puppy crush, with love. She never knew if what she felt for Jude was just her desire to fall in love or she did genuinely fell in love with him.
“Hi, I’m Jude. Jude Bellingham.”
“Hi, I’m Y/N.”
Over the weeks, they got closer and closer. No one thought it would be a problem at all because, well, Jude can be friends with anyone.
“I really wanted to be a professional footballer.” He said, taking a bite from his burger. “I don’t think that is impossible, Jude. Look at you! You are so talented.” Y/N replied with a wide grin on her face. She had been to his friendly match before and Jude was indeed very talented. “You might even get picked to be in England national football team one day.”
“If I make it, then I want you to be there with me. As my girlfriend.”
“..what?” Y/N could have sworn this felt like an actual dream. Did he really ask her to be his girlfriend? Could this be a chance for her first ever relationship and could possibly be her one and only relationship?
She would have said yes straight away if it wasn’t for the sudden waves of anxiety. What if she made the wrong decision? What if she wasn’t ready? What if he was just playing around?
“I promise I’ll make it worth. I like you, Y/N. I really do.”
And she said yes. Because he promised,
but promises are meant to be broken.
Y/N did everything she could think of to make Jude the happiest boyfriend ever. She baked him cookies, she sent him a box of his favourite chocolates with handwritten letter to cheer him up when he lost his match, she spent days thinking about what she should give him as his birthday gift and she taught that those “relationships” she read and watched were indeed true, love was indeed the most beautiful thing a human could ever felt. Falling in love is like planting those roses and daisies in your heart and watched it grew to be a land of flowers.
But flowers will eventually wilt if you don’t keep taking care of it.
And soon she realised that Jude never reciprocate her actions. She was the only one who kept on flowering those flowers, Jude was just …..there, watching them getting limp.
Tumblr media
‘Did I try too hard? I thought I was making him happy. Did I annoy him? Am I not enough? I swear I tried my best to be there with him when he needed me. Am I not worthy of his love? Did he realised that I was not the girl he actually wanted?’ Y/N cried and cried as a train of negative thoughts kept on going round in her head.
But again, no one was there to tell her that she was worth even more. That he wasn’t even worth it. That she was perfect enough. That he wasn’t the one. That him leaving her with no explanation didn’t meant no one was gonna fall in love with her no more.
And Y/N then figured out that she said yes because she thought she found love and that maybe, she was too excited to know how it felt like to fall in love and how it felt to be loved by someone, that she was too blind to see that Jude asked her to be his girlfriend not because he was in love with her but because he wanted to be her first in everything, to feed his ego, to feel superior amongst his friends.

Big Easy
I am on vacation this week in New Orleans. There are many reasons for this but mostly they're not about me. I'm just here for the ride. Hilariously the one thing I found on on my own that I was like "oh i gotta do that while we're here" is also the thing that has been recommended to me by literally everyone i've spoken to including the Lyft driver from the airport, which is the WWII Museum, and conversely the more people recommend it the more I'm like :/ I might not enjoy this that much. WWII history was a childhood hyperfixation of mine but I've found the shit I was into about it is not the stuff other people like about it. This museum features a movie narrated by Tom Hanks so I feel like it's going to mm emphasize the bits I don't care about a lot. BUT I am going to go and I am probably going to devote a whole day. The upside of this is that probably Dude will not be deadly bored by it. He does tend to have the issue of not being into what I'm into sometimes... but this will probably be fine.
My hip is doing okay, the one I've been physically therapizing for ages? But what's popped up is that as the bad hip heals, the "good" hip starts giving me trouble-- I have prettty bad sciatic nerve problems on that side, and I didn't notice them so much because the cartilage tear on the bad side hurt enough to distract me. But lately it's like-- a little electric current of Badness inside the back of my right knee. No fun. But I've been doing physical therapy exercises for about fifteen weeks now (I just counted), three times a week, so I'd damn well better have seen some improvement LOL.
But mostly I can walk around, and I have a better idea earlier on whether walking is going to be good for me or not, so idk it's progress.
So far I have had a few bites of a shrimp po'boy (in the Atlanta airport, where we ordered something else and the waitress didn't hear us and just brought better food, no regrets on our part), some amazing gumbo, a bit of really good crawfish etouffe, and a really good Hurricane cocktail, and have seen the steamboat Natchez going up the MIssissippi with a brass band playing on it. Oh yeah there was a live band at the baggage claim? Apparently there were Many Doings in the French Quarter last night because of Cinco de Mayo, our Lyft driver was explaining they'd barricaded a bunch of the streets and she was delighted they'd moved one barricade because otherwise she could not have dropped us at our hotel. But by the later evening when we were out and about it wasn't quite so crowded but there were police cars and sirens and apparently some kind of disturbance a couple blocks away from our hotel. We kept walking because whatever it was was Not Our Business.
I'm mostly here for the food. I brought mostly me-made clothes. I was wearing a nice button-up shirt to fly in, and i sat at the gate during our layover and hand-bound two of the last three buttonholes on it (I'd cut and overcasted them at home but ran out of time). Relaxing and chill, honestly.
There are a couple of fabric stores I want to visit but apart from that I have zero agenda. Maybe Dude came up with something. I think he's mostly been researching restaurants.
I did not expect this, though: I know the names of so many of the places here from the news coverage of Katrina, and when I saw the Superdome in person i started crying, and had to explain to the driver that I'd been an airport bartender during that time and so had been stuck in front of huge TVs with 24h live coverage, and I'd had a bunch of online friends living there and I didn't realize until this moment how much it scarred me, so I could only imagine for the people here, and she talked about how she'd been a cleaner in an apartment complex at the time (I'd sussed that she was my age or older so I figured she'd remember it as well as I do, because to my shock that was 20 years ago now) and how many people had just left and never come back, had abandoned their possessions and just never came back for them because the power didn't come back on for two or three months.
She said "Now I know, when they tell you to evacuate, you get the hell out."
She also complained that nobody knows how to act, because it's all tourists. Which, fair.
... Anyway, anyone with recs for New Orleans feel free to tell them to me, I'm just here for the food and the vibes.

byler 50 for the ask game i need this for reasons
Will Byers is good with secrets.
He hasn't had much of a choice, honestly, given the types of secrets he has. When he was younger, his biggest secret was liking boys. Then it was liking one boy, specifically, and then it was monsters and hell dimensions and government-issued secrets that he legally wasn't allowed to tell anyone. He'd never admit this, but those secrets were far easier to keep than the first two. He’s spent a good portion of his days learning how to keep quiet, how to omit information when necessary, how to keep his lies, on the rare occasions that he needs them, simple and believable.
(Okay, there had been one exception to the simple and believable thing, last year in that godforsaken van, but that was an outlier, okay? He’d been overtired and probably contact high and Mike had been freaking the fuck out, so he’d- he’d gone a little overboard with that one. Whatever. Everything turned out fine in the end - better than fine, even.)
Mike Wheeler, on the other hand, is not so good at keeping secrets.
Will chalks most of this up to his boyfriend’s general lack of a filter - Mike has never shied away from saying what he’s thinking, and a lot of the time, what he’s thinking happens to be terribly incriminating. He knows that Mike has had to keep secrets too - secrets that, as it turns out, line up almost exactly with the ones Will’s been keeping. And to his credit, Mike had managed to keep most of those for a decent amount of time, but the ways in which he kept them were significantly- well, there was a lot less delicacy, in Mike’s case.
Will doesn’t blame him for any of it, of course, because he knows how Mike’s brain works and knows that he doesn’t mean any harm, but it does make being his boyfriend - more specifically, his secret boyfriend - a bit tricky.
Like right now, for instance. They’re sitting in the basement with the rest of the Party, and Mike’s all curled up against Will’s side in an entirely incriminating manner. He’s also wearing Will’s sweater, which he could maybe have gotten away with under normal circumstances, but throw in the fact that this is the third time this week that he’s showed up in public wearing Will’s clothes, and- well, Will’s pretty sure the Party’s onto them at this point anyway.
“Mike, what do you think?” Dustin asks, and Mike stirs against Will’s side, blinking blearily at him.
“About what?” he asks absently, shifting and wriggling closer to Will, who is barely suppressing an eye roll.
Lucas looks like he’s on the verge of laughter. “Dude, were you listening at all? We’re trying to decide what movie to watch.”
“Oh,” Mike hums, and Will can feel the sound from where Mike’s chest is tucked up against his arm. “Uh, whatever you guys want, I don’t care.”
At this, the entire Party levels him with matching looks of concern - even Will glances down at him with an eyebrow raised.
“You don’t care,” Max repeats slowly, staring at him like he’s sprouted a second head. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you not have an opinion on something.”
Mike’s face flushes adorably red, and he looks like he’s seconds away from hiding his face away against Will’s shoulder, which would probably seal their fate as the most obvious couple of all time. Will elbows him, bugging his eyes out, and Mike clears his throat quickly as he sits up a little straighter, less like he’s curling as close to Will as he can get, which was, of course, exactly what he was doing. It’s still not- an entirely platonic position, with Mike’s thigh still pressed flush against Will’s and his fingers brushing Will’s where his hand rests on his knee, like he’s fighting the urge to thread their fingers together, but it’s- well, it’s a slight improvement. Even if Will’s side is now upsettingly cold where Mike was just leaned up against it.
“I’m, uh,” Mike starts, and Will immediately thinks oh, no, “I’m focused on more important things.”
Will resists the urge to bury his face in his hands.
“What sort of important things?” El asks, looking entirely amused, and Will glares at her, willing her to stop talking.
“Um,” Mike says, looking more flustered by the moment. “You know. I was thinking about- world peace. College applications. The future. My history project due on Monday. How to get my Spanish grade up. The SATs. What to do about-”
“Okay,” Will cuts in, sensing an onslaught of true Mike Wheeler word vomit brewing, and he reaches over with one hand to clamp his palm over Mike’s mouth. “We get it, Mike.”
Mike looks, for all intents and purposes, entirely relieved at the interruption, and he slumps back against Will’s side, because clearly he’s learned nothing from the past few minutes. “We should watch Star Wars,” he says against Will’s palm, the sound muffled from the contact, and it’s all Will can do to repress the shudder that runs through him at the feeling of Mike’s lips moving against his palm.
He must see the expression on Will’s face, or something, because all at once a gleeful glint appears in Mike’s eyes, and he presses his lips more flush against Will’s hand, kissing it firmly, because clearly he’s trying to give Will a heart attack.
Thankfully, the rest of the Party doesn’t seem to notice, having gone back to squabbling over movie options as soon as Mike stopped talking, and for once in his life Will is grateful for his friends’ short attention spans. Even so, he retracts his hand, sending Mike a burning glare that is probably entirely undercut by the blush in his cheeks, and Mike grins proudly to himself, turning to face the screen as it flickers to life. His leg presses against Will’s, firm and purposeful, and Will allows himself to be a little bit stupid about it when he presses back, biting his lip to hide a smile.
Mike’s pinky finger links through his, and Will forgets to worry.
It’s only later, when they’re standing in the kitchen together after the Party leaves, throwing out the last of the trash from downstairs and placing the popcorn bowl in the sink, that Will decides to make fun.
“I can’t believe you,” he says, shaking his head good-naturedly as he wets a sponge and begins scrubbing at the stubborn butter stains on the inside of the popcorn bowl. “Your Spanish grade, Mike, really?”
“Hey, I was doing my best!” Mike yelps, shoving the empty Dorito bag onto top of the already-full garbage can and walking over to stand beside Will at the sink. “You were no help.”
“I wasn’t the problem,” Will murmurs, smirking and not looking up from the bowl.
Mike glances down, watching him scrub at it. “You don’t have to do that,” he says, reaching over to tug the sponge out of Will’s hand, and Will gives him a look even as his fingers go slack and he turns to face Mike, one hip pressed against the counter. “And don’t you want to know what I was actually thinking about?”
“I’m going to take a wild guess and say that it was-”
“I was thinking about you,” Mike interrupts before Will can finish being sarcastic, dropping the sponge unceremoniously on the counter and twisting around to mirror Will’s position, hand pressing against the top of Will’s against the counter.
Will presses down a smile. “You don’t say.”
“I was thinking,” Mike continues, not noticing Will’s facetious tone, or maybe he just doesn’t care, which is probably more likely, “about what it would be like to not think twice about sitting next to you on movie nights, and I was thinking about how much I like cuddling with you on the couch and how I want to do that all the time, and I was thinking- that I love you, basically.”
It’s nothing Will hasn’t heard from Mike before, but his face flushes anyway, and he shifts a little closer, the hand that’s not gripping the counter rising up to cup the side of Mike’s neck. “I love you too,” he says. “And- we will get to do those things. Eventually. Just- not right now.”
“Not right now,” Mike agrees, bobbing his head, because really, the whole secret thing had mostly been Mike’s idea in the first place. It’s almost funny, how in the beginning, Mike was the scared one who wanted to keep them a secret, and Will who willingly obliged, maybe a little selfishly, because he wanted Mike Wheeler all to himself for a little while, but this whole time, Will is the one who’s been better at hiding. Mike’s ready to stop hiding now, probably, if this conversation is any indication - almost, anyway. They’ll get there soon. Plus, the Party definitely already knows, so that takes some of the pressure off.
“You’re so pretty,” Mike murmurs, tilting his forehead to press against Will’s, and Will’s flush deepens, a pleased smile spreading across his face. “Have I told you that?”
“Yes,” Will laughs, as Mike’s free arm wraps around his waist and tugs him in closer, chests bumping.
“Oh,” Mike says, grinning teasingly, “Well, have I also told you that you’re my favorite person ever? And that you’re the smartest and bravest person I know, and that I’m so lucky to have you, and that-”
“Okay,” Will says for the second time tonight, laughing quietly, and he brings up the hand that’s been pressed against the counter and presses his fingertips against Mike’s lips gently. “I appreciate it, Mike, I really do, but I kind of really need you to shut up right now.”
“Why?” Mike asks around his fingers, feigning a pout, and Will grins as he slips his hand away from Mike’s face to cup the back of his neck instead.
“So I can do this,” Will murmurs, and tugs him in sharply, pressing their lips together firmly, and whatever fake-complaint Mike had locked and loaded seems to vanish instantly, his grip on Will loose and relaxed as he smiles into the kiss. He tastes sweet, like buttered popcorn and candy, these moments always made a little more special by the fact that they don’t get very many of them. Will would like to kiss Mike Wheeler more often that he does, maybe, like, all the time, actually, and the possibility that he could actually have that sometime soon has him smiling against Mike’s mouth and curling a hand through his hair, gentle and loving and sweet.
“You know,” Mike says against his mouth, pulling back a little, “If you had just said so, I would have stopped talking way sooner-”
“Shut the fuck up,” Will interrupts, hazy and kissed red and needing to be kissed again immediately. “Shut up, shut up, shut up-”
“Okay,” Mike says, and when Will goes in for another kiss, he doesn’t seem to mind in the slightest.

Jack kept watching you while you were in the dining room, almost as if he were hypnotized by your presence; he wasn't even listening to what Brock was saying to him.
“You should tell him," Brock commented, annoyed; he had practically been talking to himself for the last ten minutes, maybe.
“Tell who what?" Jack asked, mentally cursing himself for being so obvious.
"Well, Y/N, if you're lucky, she won't turn you down, although I've been seeing her with Rogers a lot lately."
Jack didn't let Brock finish the sentence when he got up and went straight to where you were talking to Natasha.
“I just needed a push," Brock murmured attentively to the scene.
"Rollins, “Natasha uttered when she saw him standing next to you. You turned around, still smiling.
“Y/N. "
“What? “ You and Natasha turned to look at each other in confusion. He had never referred to you by your first name before.
“Can I talk to you?" Jack was starting to get nervous. You nodded as you looked at Natasha, as if you understood each other.
“What's wrong?" You questioned me when you were alone.
“What are you doing this weekend?"
“Sleep in and then watch movies with my dog as usual," you answered.
“We're going camping or dinner, whichever you prefer." Jack was beginning to think he was sounding pretty stupid.
“Dinner is fine; how about Friday?"
“I'll pick you up."
On Wednesday, you and Jack had a mission. You and Jack were guarding the enemy, but the place was very quiet. Jack approached you, and his hands lightly brushed yours as you walked.
“What do you think? “he asked.
You smiled, still keeping an eye on the target.
“I love it here. It's so peaceful and beautiful."
Jack nodded. Nothing could go wrong that day; nothing was going to stop him from having that date. He didn't even mind having to endure Brock's teasing.
“There's something else I like even more here."
You stared at him, waiting for him to continue. Jack stopped and gently took you by the arm.
“Kiss me," you whispered, his lips just inches from yours. A few seconds later, he kissed you.
“I was supposed to save it for dinner," Jack said when you broke apart.
“We can do it again that day," you proposed without stopping smiling.
He couldn't answer because Brock interrupted you on the intercom.

I want to like… watch SNW so bad because the special effects we’re capable of now are so improved and seeing familiar characters fully realized with new technology is awesome. But SNW makes me feel weird because it radically changes everything I loved about characters in the original series. Especially Spock. While also implying these changes are canon for some reason, because it’s a prequel.
Part of the reason I was able to enjoy the AOS movies (in all their SFX lens flare glory), despite the plots being… questionable at times was because it was an alternate universe. Even with the TOS Spock cameo, the integrity of the original series is kept intact because it’s not a prequel.
Also this isn’t to say people can’t or shouldn’t enjoy SNW. If you like it that’s awesome and I’m all for you enjoying it. This is only my explanation for why I and possibly others have reservations.
100% agree. a lot of the stuff snw has done (especially special effects wise) are very cool and (from what i’ve watched) the show can be very enjoyable. but it’s disappointing because it feels like it could have been a way to actually explore these characters but in reality all they did was write their own characters and slap the same name on them. and, just like you said, it would be so much easier to enjoy if they weren’t so set on insisting it’s all canon.
and it seems like a lot of people don’t want to hear what’s wrong with it, which is fine. if you really like it and don’t really care or don’t want to talk about continuities and implications for tos that’s cool just scroll past those posts i guess, but it feels like whenever it gets brought up someone has to claim that none of your concerns are valid because it’s a good show and it’s like, y’all can enjoy it. there’s no problem with enjoying it, but don’t try and shut down any conversation that isn’t praising it.
like it being an enjoyable show and it having a lot of problems and continuity issues are not mutually exclusive. plenty of people like the changes they’ve made and i’m happy for those people. but we don’t need to act like just because people like it that means there’s nothing wrong with it.
i personally can’t stand what they did to Christine, why make her so badass and hardcore if it just retroactively makes her tos character seem sad by comparison. like i’m sorry but you can’t just show me that this character that i know as usually very calm, reserved, helpful, maybe a little too intense about her crushes (but who can blame her for that), but mostly keeps to herself, was actually super badass (and nearly unrecognizable personality wise) 8 years ago and expect me to be happy about that. like, what happened to her? why wouldn’t you just make that a new character? it’s like whoever wrote her in snw saw tos chapel, decided she was boring, and then made her not boring anymore. and people act like snw did some crazy feminist power move by making her this powerful badass but it’s really just disappointing. hot take: making a woman you deemed boring not boring anymore isn’t feminism. (like women can have personalities other than powerful badass and it can still be feminist, she can be calm and caring and reserved and you could have still made her a feminist symbol, but instead they changed her character entirely)
and don’t get me wrong i love snw chapel (she’s very awesome and i have a crush on her), i just wish she was her own character (like if it were an alternate timeline). especially because this little relationship they’re writing makes her tos character look like such a creep towards Spock.
i don’t care how much you tell me it’s a prequel, those are not the same character. Spock too, you can’t convince me he would actually ever act anything like he does in snw. and people always want to say that since it’s a prequel of course they’re going to act different, yeah different i would be fine with, but these characters are unrecognizable.
and none of that means i think people shouldn’t like it or shouldn’t watch it. i just don’t like how it seems like some fans of snw seem to wish there would be no discussion about it, while also placing themselves into the discussions about it. if you like the show and disagree with my opinions on it, either ignore me or discuss it with me, don’t reply just to tell me that i shouldn’t have that opinion.
like seriously did y’all see that reblog argument where i explained my opinion and their only response was pretty much “but i like it and it’s enjoyable” i mean i said it was a bad prequel and their response for why they think it’s a good prequel was that ‘they bend canon’ and that ‘they aren’t too precious about canon characters’ like what? that can be why you like it but i cannot even begin to see why you would think that makes it a good prequel. bending canon and fucking around with well established and well loved characters does not seem like the formula to make a good prequel. (i couldn’t even reply because that reply made so little sense to me)
plus like why are people shocked that people have issues with it? it’s a prequel, either stick closer to the canon material or accept that people are going to be upset with it.
okay sorry the rant is over now

Lets talk Knights of the Zodiac:
This review will be mostly positive based on my own experience but I still will have my criticisms as I go along. To begin I want to be very transparent here and say after watching this movie: It is NOT--I repeat--NOT “Dragon Ball Evolution 2.0” like many people claim online. This movie's characters, script, dialogue, action, and story are leaps and bounds more faithful to the source material it is adapting and showing respect for it all the same. I'm positive those who keep claiming that it is have never watched the movie or are just speaking utter nonsense because let’s be real: Dragon Ball Evolution is beyond bad and KOTZ—objectively—is not.
This movie is perfectly fine; very fun I might add. It definitely stands up there with the likes of Alita: Battle Angel in terms of anime adaptations and as a movie it gets the job done.
Now for the fans going into this story expecting it to be verbatim like the original animanga, you are not going to find that here. This movie is very much an origin story for this particular universe of Saint Seiya with its own key lore and world building that takes influence from the Netflix reboot but actually executed those aspects better in comparison to how the CG show did it. I certainly appreciate this movie trying something new with its setting and story in comparison to LoS which told a very rushed rendition of the Silver Saints and Twelve Temples arc and I believe if this movie did the same thing, my expectations would be significantly lower and my criticisms far more harsher.
From an objective standpoint, this movie’s pacing definitely could use some improvement. I definitely appreciate what the writers and directors could give with the runtime they had but when it comes to character such as Nero and Seiya and Sienna’s time spent bonding, there’s definitely something to be left desired, Nero especially but we’ll get to him later. The script itself is okay, can be basic in some areas, cheesy in others but never anything that made me actually cringe. The movie’s music is otherwise really good. The orchestral Pegasus Fantasy rendition was definitely a highlight of the film for me and the music that plays through a lot of the action and somber scenes is really atmospheric.
To add, I know there were some fans that complained that not all the bronzes were here but I’m pretty sure that was for the movie’s benefit. Introducing so many characters all at once would mean that audiences would have no time to connect with them and the story would have been bloated and full of plot holes. I love how they kept the core cast as just Seiya, Nero, and Sienna for the time being to get us more familiar to their world before moving onto the others.
As for other things, the set pieces and CGI aren't terrible. It's definitely a step above most tokusatsu shows and movies but not on the level of something like Alita or some MCU movies. It's passable but definitely not a complete eye sore.
Some shots are a bit goofy but they don't linger too long and I think it adds to the charm of this being an otherwise fun action film based on an even more zany and violent anime. The fights are all well-choreographed and filmed. I saw some complaints about the lighting being dark but that's not the case here. Everything in the movie is well lit and it's obvious who's who.
I thought the armors looked pretty okay and knowing that Kurumada actually approved them looking more medieval and archaic rather than how they were in the original animanaga makes for a nice creative detail that gives this movie more uniqueness in the StS verse.
Slight spoilers here but it is confirmed and shown in the movie that the armors do in fact evolve like how they do in the original manga and anime so if this movie does get its potential sequels, I look forward to seeing how they translate that.
⚠️SPOILERS FROM HERE ON OUT⚠️
To move onto characters I enjoyed a majority of the main cast throughout the movie. Everyone not only understood the characters they were portraying but giving them their own charm and nuances to make them feel more like individuals.
To start with the main man Seiya, he's a lot more reserved here, because he is a lot older, but some of his attitude from the animanaga still remains like his brash attitude and his unwavering resolve to never give up. His character is quite complex with this movie going further in detail about the conflict he has with losing his sister, his obsession with finding her, and his hesitance to accept Sienna as a goddess until he witnesses it for himself. I appreciate them putting more and more time into emphasizing Seiya's relationship with his sister and Seiya at a crossroads between finding her and protecting Sienna all at once as opposed to how the anime/manga did it.
Seika is almost forgotten after the first few episodes/chapters of the original so it was nice to see that she had more of an impact on Seiya's character here.
Next, we have Sienna and I'm going to say that she is the best iteration of the Saori Kido character. While some of the pacing of her scenes were a little off at times, it didn't matter because I was engaged with what they did with her in this film. This story focuses on Sienna's humanity as opposed to the original where Saori has pretty much already accepted what she is and we never truly get to see a lot of her struggle with her heritage and most of that was relegated to the very beginning of the series. Here, Athena is the equivalent of a malevolent spirit that Sienna is constantly trying to drown out. From the way, she speaks about Athena to her parents and how that separated them feels real. She is a toung woman who’s not only caught in the middle of a broken family she cares for but is essentially a ticking time bomb. She accepts that she may not be herself one day but you can tell that deep down she doesn't want to believe that. She starts off as the typical haughty rich girl towards Seiya and while I do think that their relationship could have used a few more scenes of them getting used to each other, it still feels plausible that he cares for her I’m the end. I would be a bit of a brat too if I was going to become doomsday incarnate one day. Here she suffers loss but in turn finds a new purpose and reason to keep living. At a core it is her human side that matters most.
I also adore that Sienna starts off not in complete control of her cosmo. It gives more presence to the gods in this scenario and how dangerous their cosmo is to a regular human. It makes me really excited to see what gods late like in this universe but only time will tell.
Moving onto Alman and Guraad since they're basically two sides of the same coin. Making Alman a morally ambiguous man who is not all good fits very in line with the Mitsumasa in the original animanaga. The slow unraveling of the truth that he first and foremost only cares about his daughter is perfect and sets up the domino effect that will extend to all the children he used as a means to an end.
Guraad on the other hand is a MILLION times better than the Guraad in the Netflix reboot. Not only does she feel appropriate as an antagonist but she gives better layer to the conflict of fighting against the gods and at the same time having to come with the burden of killing her surrogate daughter to do so. Sienna and Guraad share a bond that feels genuine and when her maternal instincts shine it's wonderfully executed. It adds so much more emotionally weight knowing that a complete accident on Sienna’s end pushed away who she considered family and Guraad realizing that to makes her attempt to save Sienna feel earned.
Now we have Nero. I love Ikki in almost every universe and here it is no different. The mystery behind his character and past along with him as an antagonist is one of the best but weakest aspects of his character in this movie in my opinion. His true motives are unclear but from what a lot of people have speculated and based on Diego himself, his motivations largely have to do with Shun. Potentially Nero does not know where his brother is and I think that would make for a great parallel between Seiya and Nero if this series is to continue. He definitely has a vendetta against the gods and has the Sagittarius armor in his possession but at what ends? His character toward the end leaves more questions than answers and I wish we got a fair balance of flashbacks from his perspective to compare/contrast with Seiya’s. He is a threat through and through and the movie does well in establishing the bar that is set between him and Seiya. He's definitely a character I want to see expanded upon more in the future and what ulterior motives he has going on as it seems that Guraad was a stepping stone for things to come. I want more of him and I hope to god we do.
Marin is, dare I say, perfect. Everything from her nonchalant demeanor, to the way she trains Seiya, THE WAY SHE GOES TO SLEEP and her presence she's easily another favorite of mine in the movie next to Sienna. We get just enough of her to see what she's all about but like Nero, I hope we do see more of her. She serves the purpose she’s meant to in the story and I was quite confused about her “bound to this island by destiny” schtick (which was really an excuse to keep her out of the third arc) but overall she’s just awesome.
And last but not least Mylock. Easily he's better than Tatsumi by a country mile. The writers actually managed to make a dull asshole of a character into a fun and entertaining one. His action scenes were a highlight and were just classic king fu action that I just adore.
The story overall centers around the ideals surrounding family, humanity, and fighting through a destiny that’s not completely set in stone. It’s very anime but at the same time is personable and relatable in some way or another.
To conclude : Knights of the Zodiac is a fun film with great action, solid writing, a talented main cast of characters, and I was genuinely surprised at how much I ended up liking it. It shows respect or to the source material while doing its own thing and that’s honestly the best route it could have gone. It could have been way worse.
It’s a solid 7/10. Had some bumps in the road but it managed to make it to its destination safe and sound. Regardless of performance, I will definitely watch sequels.

So back in June I watched all the Ghostbusters films cause it was the anniversary of the original movie and I thought I'd do a quick bullet point review since it's been a bit since I watched them all together.
Ghostbusters (1984)
It's still a classic. Has memorable moments that will live on.
Fun scenes. Going after Slimer is always silly and chaotic.
Peter Venkman is a rough. I actually had a person tell me that Venkman is the reason why they never watched the first movie, and I don't blame them.
Wish there was a bit more build up to the confrontation with Gozer. Would be neat if they kept uncovering clues rather than just the moment they figured it out in the jail cell.
Ghostbusters II (1989)
I don't know why people dunk on this movie, it's great!
You can tell the cast and crew are having more fun and things are a bit more fleshed out.
Venkman actually has some good character growth and is not a total creep!
I actually like the build up to the climax on this one. Throughout the movie, there's a focus on the slime buildup in the city and the flow of the story feels good.
Some fun light scares.
I kinda don't like the whole "the ghosts just stop showing up" thing. It's a trope specifically for this franchise that's not really explained. Just "yeah nothing happened between the movies and people think, we're frauds again! Gotta do it all over again!"
Ghostbusters: Answer the Call (2016)
This movie gets a lot of undeserved hate thrown towards it for being the female lead reboot. A bunch of misogynist trolls threw a fit and never gave it a shot the moment it was announced.
The cast was great tbh. Everyone seemed to gel with one another.
Chris Hemsworth plays a himbo and we see him with his shirt off.
I really like the main antagonist in this movie. I think his character could have been fleshed out a bit more, but still fun idea.
The gear looks really cool in this movie.
Some scenes do keep going a bit too long and has like not good Saturday Night Live skit energy. I think they relied a bit too much on improv.
How the fuck is Chris Hemsworth the funniest motherfucker alive and why is he so cute?
There's a teeny tiny bit a queerness in this story, but I also feel like there's themes of found family going on here too and I like that.
Chris Hemsworth plays a himbo and we see him with his shirt off.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)
Trailers do this movie a disservice by making it feel like it's going for a Stranger Things feel, kinda relying a bit too much on nostalgia or even doing the "wow kids these days." It just felt like they didn't have any confidence on the movie itself when marketing this tbh.
The tone is a bit more serious, but honestly I'm fine with it. Still has some funny moments, but it's leaning more into the horror part a bit more.
Watching Phoebe learn more about her grandfather is honestly fun. And this movie does a great job with handing things off to a new generation in a way that doesn't feel like it's disingenuous.
Literally cried at the end. Honestly that ending felt wonderful and it felt like a good tribute to Harold Ramis.
I don't know why, but my first watch of this last year wasn't as good as the second watch this year. I don't know what happened. But I remember the first time I watched this and felt like it was just ok but not my favorite. Maybe it was just a bit of frustration that the sequel to Answer the Call got cancelled before it could even get into full production.
I appreciate the movie using some practical effects. There are just certain elements that you can't mess with in Ghostbusters movie and they nailed it.
Muncher is my least favorite ghost tbh. Idk, there are people who love Muncher and I do like the tardigrade inspired design, but idk, they didn't appeal to me like the other ghosts did.

What do you think the series would've been like if 2003 Wrath actually stayed with Izumi and Sig as their son? Like, Izumi actually took him back with her instead of giving him to the gate. Sorry I just really liked the idea of family bonding between them and the 3 becoming like this awesome super family. I was actually really disappointed when he turned on them and honestly a little more disappointed that he was only canon to the 2003 anime :'D
I LOVE this ask because I really adored Wrath's concept as a character. I don't get into FMA03 - FMAB discourse (my fault is being a centrist but literally, BOTH series bring something different to the table and I adore them both) but I will honestly say one of FMAB's downfalls was not having this character in Brotherhood. Anyways before I ramble - YES, I think that Sig and Izumi taking in Wrath would have been... tumultuous to say the least? But, successful. It would surely take time and a lot of effort and therapy, but both parents definitely have that ability to have really turned Wrath around.
First off, let's assess Wrath - it's been a few years (probably since this ask, 2019) since I watched '03 thoroughly but Wrath did not spend THAT much time as a Homunculus. Everything was fine until Envy had to be a goddamn homewrecker. True, he did so much damage and caused so much trauma in a short period of time but we are given proof in CoS (Conqueror of Shamballah - 03's movie in case anyone does not know,) by the end that Wrath felt love for Izumi. He loved his mom.
If she hadn't died, if she had been kept around longer, Wrath could have most certainly been made into a functional member of society. What he would do, I really don't know. I like to imagine that he spent a lot of time with Winry and Pinako (due to the automail) so, he might only repay by helping around the house. Very domestic, mellow, low-key kinds of things.
Izumi would teach her son (I don't believe they'd keep calling him Wrath, that's a cruel name and a painful reminder...) to improve his alchemy. He may go around doing good deeds with his alchemy though incidentally. Under her care, I could see her raising him so well he may turn out a bit like Edward in mindset, but much more reserved. She would teach him how to deal with his emotions and better process what he was feeling in a productive manner.
Helping him heal would be a long and difficult endeavor but it would happen. Izumi has the patience and love to support him, as well as the resilience and mental fortitude to guide him.
Izumi is too bland in BH. Having Wrath as her child added so much to her character, as well as the story itself.
YES THIS IS TOO MUCH DISSECTING OF A CHARACTER MOST PEOPLE HAVE FORGOTTEN, BUT GODDAMNIT IZUMI AND WRATH HAD SUCH A BRILLIANT PLOT THAT I WISHED SO BADLY WAS IN BH.

New Fan Editing Project: Godzilla (1998)
Yep, I’m at it again with fan editing!
I recently completed my third fan edit, an edit of The Relic (1997) (if you’re interested in checking it out, just send me a message), and started thinking about what I could work on next.  I considered returning back to my Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla fan edit, but that got me thinking instead about Godzilla (1998).
G’98 is a movie with issues.
I’ve had a bit of a roller-coaster relationship with G’98.  I saw the movie in theaters when I was 12, but unlike most I’d actually already seen EVERY Godzilla movie (including the then-recent and not yet released in America Heisei movies, which my parents had bought me imported fansubbed bootlegs of) and walked of the theater having thoroughly enjoyed it.  It wasn’t until I read the next issue of G-Fan and saw that every other Godzilla fan in the world had hated it that I suddenly switched gears (so fast my parents were confused) and decided I hated it too.  It wasn’t until five years later that I revisited it and my opinion softened, deciding I didn’t hate it after all but just didn’t care much for it.  The last time I revisited it - now almost a decade ago - I was struck by how boring a movie it is, and that that’s its greatest sin.  Not Godzilla’s radical redesign, not Godzilla’s personality - frankly, nothing to do with Godzilla himself - but the story of the movie is just DULL.
Why?
Lots has been written about how much people dislike Maria Pitillo’s character and performance, but that’s just a symptom of the real issue:  the movie WANTS to be a Romantic Comedy.  From the start of the film until about 30 to 35 minutes in, the movie is deceptively...fine.  More than one person has told me (and it’s happened to me too) that upon revisiting the first Act is actually quite decent and lulls you into thinking maybe you’ve been too hard on it.  Then the second Act starts and the film decides it’s going to be a bad Romantic Comedy from now on, often forgetting about Godzilla for LOOONG stretches.  Which maybe could be tolerable if Matthew Broderick and Maria Pitillo had chemistry, but they really don’t.  What’s worse, neither character really DOES anything - all of the actual decisions in the movie and actual agency rest with the two main supporting characters played by Hank Azaria and Jean Reno.  I’ve felt ever since that the movie would’ve been significantly stronger and more watchable had those two been the leads, and the Broderick/Pitillo story reduced to a subplot.
Part of why I hadn’t attempted this before was because, well, I didn’t think there was enough to work with.  The movie’s only an 1h 50m, I kept telling myself, and if I made all the alterations I had in mind I’d be left with, what?  An hour?  There just wasn’t enough there.  Except, I’M A MORON.  It was while thinking about it again earlier this week that I actually stopped to check what the runtime is, and my jaw dropped:
Godzilla (1998) is 2h 18m long!!
That’s WAAAY too long, and means there’s over 40 MINUTES I could theoretically cut and still be an acceptable feature length (around 1h 30m)!
So that’s what I’m doing.
BROAD STROKES PLAN
Cut back on scenes with Matthew Broderick, Maria Pitillo, and their storylines to reduce them to supporting characters.
Rearrange scenes to improve pacing and create a greater focus on Godzilla, Hank Azaria, and Jean Reno.
If possible, radically reorganize the second half of the film to eliminate the Baby Godzillas storyline which always felt tacked on, derivative of Jurassic Park, and there to pad out the film.
Alter the ending to make Godzilla’s death more ambiguous, or maybe even change it so he lives (had the idea of ending with his eyes reopening, then cutting to black with the sounds of his roar and people screaming).
Examine the feasibility of changing the music choices, as I felt the musical tone is too...whimsical?
I was planning to work on this today but, alas, some stuff has gotten in the way.  Still, I’m hoping to give this a try this coming week and see what I can do with the movie.

"Radio Static" chapter 4 is out!
Chapter Summary: "Elesa was worried. So far, though, Emmet hadn't fought her very hard on letting her help.
Unfortunately, actually helping wasn't as easy as it seemed."
Chapter Word Count: 2,870
Links: ff.net | neocities
Also can be found under the cut:
Elesa took a breath, deep enough to hurt in the icy December air, then slowly released it. She could do this, it would be fine.
She rapped her knuckles on the door, feeling the slight sting of the finished wood hitting her hand. Usually she wouldn’t bother to hit it so hard, but sometimes Emmet wouldn’t hear it if it wasn’t loud enough. She stood there in silence for a few seconds. Right as she was beginning to think she’d have to knock again, the door swung open.
Emmet looked… rough. He always did, lately. Tonight, though, it seemed that he was actually more put together than usual. She should be happy to see just that slight improvement, but she wondered if it was really that he was starting to get as better as he could, or if it was just for her sake.
Instead of saying anything or letting her thoughts show, she smiled at him and held up the grocery bag in her other hand.
“Hey, Emmie. I brought the good stuff,” she said, a laugh in her voice that she didn’t really feel.
She had been embarrassed of her late night call to Emmet, before. It had been a drunken lapse of judgment, and she had felt so ashamed, thinking she’d bothered him when everything was already so hard on him.
Instead, he had assured her he hadn’t minded, and agreed to let her hang out at his and Ingo’s- at his place. She had been pleasantly surprised, not expecting him to relent so easily. Maybe even he was starved for proper human interaction at this point.
Until then, the only real contact she’d had with him had been her daily check-ins, which were always stiff (even by his standards) and never lasted long. Lately, she’d been busier and busier, so the times she actually got to see him in the flesh lessened, and it was killing her. She was so worried for him with how awful he looked and sounded, increasingly so every time. And without Ingo to keep him in check… well, she just didn’t know.
(Or maybe she did, and she just didn’t want to think about it.)
Not to mention all of those awful rumors about him… she hoped they hadn’t gotten to him yet. She almost hoped they never would, but she knew better.
He smiled back, small and tired, but genuine. It made her own feel that much more real. He stepped back to let her in.
She glanced about the apartment, hoping she was being subtle. He probably already knew what this doubled as, though.
The place was actually neater than it was the last time she’d been there. Everything was in its place, nothing was broken or strewn across the floor. There was even a distinct lack of hair on the furniture. He must have tidied before she’d gotten there.
It may have been for appearance’s sake, to not worry her, but the fact that he’d had the energy and forethought to do so at all gave her hope. Maybe it was naive, maybe she was grasping at straws, but she just needed any sort of sign she could get that her friend would be alright.
They sat down together on the couch, and she rambled pointlessly about her choice of movies for the night. She wasn’t really paying attention to what she was saying, not really thinking about it before letting it out. Mostly, she just wanted to fill the room with something, to have his eyes on her, just to know he would react. He seemed interested enough, so she supposed she wasn’t doing too badly.
“My dad loves this movie, but I’ve never actually seen it. He says it’s just horrible, but he’s seen it so many times, and he just kept noticing all these little details that he thinks there’s some sort of secret genius in it. Something about how that’s the problem with trying to make art out of movies - I don’t really know, he’s told me about it so many times, I’ve stopped really paying attention. The others are just a bunch of chick flicks, the only ones my mom actually likes - she hates all those overly sentimental ones. Those were always more Dad’s thing,” she rambled.
Emmet chuckled, but didn’t say anything. She figured that was about as good as she could hope for. She leaned forward and popped the disc in, listening to the old DVD player whir loudly.
They sat quietly together for a while, sometimes laughing at a particularly bad line. She could tell, though, that he was distracted, and she didn’t blame him; so was she. What was odd, though, was that he seemed to be specifically facing away from her most of the time - almost like he didn’t want her to see his face. When the credits started rolling, she stretched and stood to take the disc out. Emmet glanced at the clock. She worried for a moment that she was overstaying her welcome.
“It’s getting a bit late. I can make something, if you’d like to stay for dinner,” he offered, instead.
She couldn’t fight the smile that came upon her face. She wasn’t ready to leave him alone, yet, and she always did love his cooking.
“That sounds wonderful. I’ll help,” she added. She never did like just sitting around while someone else did something for her.
Emmet seemed like he wanted to insist otherwise, but he must have known that would be a losing battle, as he instead led her to the kitchen and asked what she’d like.
“Spaghetti sounds nice,” she said, mostly because it was generally pretty easy. Even if she was helping, she didn’t want to ask too much of him.
As she opened the pantry to get the uncooked pasta, she noticed how sparse the items in it were. Maybe she would start to go with him for grocery trips.
They didn’t really talk, but it was nice, just standing by his side as they worked. She stared at the water, waiting for it to boil. Emmet had been horribly distant as of late, and it had worried her sick. She just wanted to be near him, to see him, to know that he was okay.
It was hard to rid herself of the idea that, if she didn’t watch him very, very carefully, he might just disappear on her, too. For that reason, she’d been pushing more than she usually would, lately. Normally, she’d give him space, despite her worry, and let him come to her if he wanted her help.
Now, though, it was really more about reassuring herself that he was still there than anything. Or, as close to there as she could call… this.
The sound of the water bubbling brought her back to reality. None of that mattered right then. She was here, now, with him - she could see him, he wasn’t going anywhere so long as that was true. For now, that would have to be enough.
She dumped the noodles in, remembering the time she had broken them in half and the boys had chastised her heavily. It brought a smile to her face, before she was sobered again. Everything just felt so different without Ingo, she thought as she poked her spoon into the pot to ensure everything in it was submerged.
She was sure Emmet was feeling his absence then, too. Maybe that was why he had been avoiding her - they didn’t spend much time one-on-one together. It wasn’t that it was awkward, or that he didn’t want to see her, but rather that it was just another reminder of what was missing.
She supposed she’d just have to rectify that by making it into the norm, at least until he returned.
“Hey, Emmet,” she started, and he hummed to show he was listening. “Do you think maybe we could do this again next week? It’s been nice,” she said.
“Sure, that sounds fine,” he said, deadpan as ever, but still sounding disinterested in a way she’d trained herself out of hearing in his voice.
She tried not to feel hurt by his dismissiveness. It was hard on him, on all of them; she knew that. She’d never seen him in a worse state than he had been in lately. She wondered, then, if his cooperativeness that night had really been willingness to finally let her in, or if he just didn’t want to have to push back against her anymore.
In fact, this whole night, it was like he was barely even there. She saw the look in his eyes, then. Her relief from earlier had completely vanished, and she was now very, very scared. Scared for him, of all the things going on in his head that she couldn’t see.
She took a good, long, look at him, the way he’d not quite been letting her the whole night. He had definitely noticed her staring, but he wouldn’t be the one to speak first.
He seemed just… out of it, his eyes completely devoid of anything at all, with huge bags under them that he didn’t even try to hide. His hair was the only part of him that really seemed like it’d been properly washed recently, and not that thoroughly.
She wondered how long it had gone unwashed before she’d told him she was coming over.
She realized, then, the shame and embarrassment that he’d had all night. She hadn’t thought much about the way he’d tried to avoid letting her look at him for too long, lest she notice the minor acne making a resurgence on his skin. She’d seen how barren his fridge and cabinets were, and she could see the way he seemed just that smallest bit slimmer.
It hadn’t been very long since Ingo had gone missing, all things considered, although it had felt like an eternity. She worried, then, how much worse everything would get if things went on this way and no one stepped in.
She wished he would realize that she wouldn’t judge him for any of it. She wouldn’t think any less of him for maybe forgetting some hygiene in the wake of everything they were all going through. However, no matter how carefully she tried to breach the subject, it wouldn’t come across that way. With how hard he’d tried to get her not to notice, it’d likely feel like judgment to him no matter what she actually said.
She just wanted to have a real, serious conversation without hurting him - to express her concern without feeling like she was overstepping. She’d have never thought just a few months ago that she’d have to walk on eggshells around one of her best friends the way she was, now.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a yelp and a curse from where Emmet was pouring the noodles out into a strainer. She turned to see him cradling his hand. He seemed alright, but she noticed he was shaking.
“Emmet…? Are you okay…?” she asked.
She walked over to see his face better, and…
He was crying.
She wasn’t sure what to do. He sank to the floor, as though his knees could no longer hold him up, and so she went with him.
“Emmet, please, just talk to me,” she begged. She was scared, so scared. She understood that he was scared, too. She understood that his hurt likely ran much deeper and differently than her own. She just needed to be able to help him, to do anything at all.
“You wouldn’t understand,” he moaned.
She knew that. Dragons, she knew. But couldn’t she try?
“...Emmet, I know... I know I don't get it. I've never had anything like you and Ingo, in any sense of it. But could you just try to explain it to me? Talking it out might help, and... and I want to help, however I can. Even if it's just listening, even if I can't really understand," she replied.
“...It’s going to sound crazy,” he said, but he sounded ready to give in.
“Try me,” she answered, steady as could be. He chuckled a bit, his eyes alight with just a little bit of the warmth she used to see in them every day.
“Okay,” he sighed. “Okay. Just… give me a minute. Find my words.”
She nodded, and waited. She always would. She understood. She was wondering, though, just what he could possibly be talking about. She’d assumed all of this had to do with Ingo. The thought gave her pause.
…Did he know something…?
She looked back at him, and the atmosphere had changed again. She tried not to think too harshly of him - but just what was he hiding from her?
Across from her, Emmet took a breath, and began speaking.
"I am Emmet. For my whole life, I have known one thing for sure. The world would never be silent. For as long as I can remember, my hearing has not been a guarantee. But I would still hear something. Ingo… he would still be there, in my mind. He would speak to me, still, and he would be my ears. Now he is… Gone. There is nothing there. Radio silence."
To say she was confused would be an understatement.
“Emmet, what are you talking about?” she asked, maybe a tad less patient than she’d wanted to come across.
“Elesa, I am going to say something and it is going to sound like a lie. But I need you to believe me anyway,” he said.
She was conflicted. He had been acting so strange today, but never in all of her time knowing him had she known Emmet to be a liar. Even as unusual as his behavior had been, she couldn’t believe he would lie to her when it came to Ingo.
“Okay,” was all she said.
Please, don’t start lying to me now.
“Ingo and I, we share a… connection, of sorts,” he began. “What I see through my own eyes, he could easily see as though it were through his own. What he thinks, I would hear as clearly as though they were my own thoughts. Always, always, he has been there, even when we were apart. And now, I…” he trailed off.
“...Don’t hear him at all,” she finished, dazed. It was quite a thing to ask her to believe. She had half a mind to think he’d gone insane. She couldn’t blame him, if he had.
But really, stranger things had happened in her life.
She believed him, wholeheartedly. She really wished she didn’t, though.
“So, if you can't… If he’s not…” she tried to say, but she couldn’t find it in herself to voice her fears.
“What else could it mean?” he asked, sadly. “One second, he was there, and the next, he just… wasn’t. No warning, nothing.”
She’d heard he’d acted strange on the day Ingo had disappeared. Apparently, he’d said some odd things just before people started searching for him - had suddenly asked about him, despite being in the middle of working, and already having not seen him in hours by that point.
She’d thought it was just one of those times you get a bad feeling, and it turns out to be right. A coincidence, or a one-time thing. She’d heard of it before.
She knew she was being too quiet, that he was probably waiting for an actual response from her. But what could she say? How could she reassure him?
Still… maybe it was foolish, but one thing about her was that she was determined to hope. Emmet had once said that she and his brother were alike, in that way. She didn’t think she could ever live up to Ingo’s own spirit, but by the Dragons, would she try.
“Do you wonder if, maybe… well, would it be too absurd to think that, just maybe… something… took him?” she asked.
His brow furrowed harshly. “What?” he asked.
“Think about it,” she said. “There’s no body, no blood - nothing at all to really indicate that he was ever there in the first place, except for his belongings. If he’s dead, then where’s his body? Where did it go? Why wouldn’t whoever… why would they leave his belt?” It was too painful to refer to her friend’s supposed murder, even if she was telling herself that wasn’t what happened.
Emmet was still silent, so she continued.
“Wouldn't you have felt some kind of pain from him, even if he died instantly? And how-”
“Stop,” he interrupted. “Please, just… just stop. Don’t. Don’t give me hope.”
“Emmet…” she started.
“No, no. There’s just no way. Who could have possibly taken him so quickly that I didn’t feel anything? What could they have done to manage that?” he asked. Pleaded, really.
“Maybe it’s not who,” she started, carefully. “But what.”
She let the implications linger, let him think about it on his own. She could see the hesitation in his face, but also that he was thinking about it. Deeply.
He looked up at her, that old fire back in his eyes.
“I think… I have a lot to think about,” he said.

Dragon Ball Super 023
Tumblr media
tfw you’re in Dragon Ball Super Episode 23.
Tumblr media
So for the last few episodes, Goku and Vegeta have been training on Beerus’ planet, and then Beerus ordered Whis to send them to some other dimension where they could supposedly improve faster.   But for Whis to do that, he had to send his staff to the other dimension as well.  This backfires on Beerus when he starts eating all the pizza Whis brought back from Earth, and Whis can’t bring him more because he needs his staff to do it.  So Whis has to bring back Goku and Vegeta to get his staff.  This whole thing is just a pointless waste of time.
I think the idea was that the writers on DBS wanted to show Goku and Vegeta training to achieve their Super Saiyan Blue forms, which they revealed in the Resurrection F movie.  In the movie, it was established that they reached that level off-screen, but this anime expands on the story.  So you would think this would give Toei a chance to tell some story about how they reached Super Saiyan Blue.  Except.... there is no story.  None at all.
Part of the problem is that they probably didn’t want to show them transforming until the fight with Frieza, which is sensible enough.  That’s how the movie played it, after all.  But then we still have these scenes of Goku and Vegeta training with no apparent point.  Beerus just tells them their time in the other dimension did them a lot of good, even if they weren’t in there for very long.
I guess it was like the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, at least in the sense that they were stuck there longer than the amount of time that passed in the outside world.  Anyway, they had to eat all of Beerus’ extra pizza in order to avoid starvation, so yeah.
Tumblr media
So now that they’re back and Whis has his staff, they can finally find out about Frieza’s invasion, and Goku can try to teleport back to Earth.  Only it’s too far away, so Gohan powers up as high as he can go, and this gives Goku something to lock on to.  Wait, was Frieza’s power level not enough?  Everyone’s been talking about how amazingly strong he is, to say nothing of Tagoma’s body, now inhabited by Captain Ginyu.  You’d think there’d be plenty of strong ki powers for Goku to sense.
Tumblr media
Anyway, Frieza tries to finish Gohan off, but then Goku appears in the nick of time and blocks the shot with his crappily-drawn arm.  This episode sucks ass.
Tumblr media
I tend to focus on the misshapen faces in this series, but there’s a lot of poorly-drawn fingers and hands.   Parts of this show look like fan art drawn by a talented-but-inexperienced teenager.  Like these should be the before shots next to a much better drawing in a social media post where the artist shows off their skill development over several years.
Tumblr media
Anyway, Vegeta quickly polishes off Captain Ginyu, thus bringing an end to the decades-long running gag of that frog showing up in different scenes.  I’m not sure what happened to Tagoma-in-the-frog’s-body, but it doesn’t really matter, since no one cared enough about Tagoma to care if he keeps the gag alive.
Also, I’d just like to say that this series keeps using shots like this of characters in the mid-ground, even though the artists seem to really, really suck at drawing figures on this scale.  Like, what is the point of storyboarding for this sort of thing when you know your staff can’t execute it without making it look pathetic?  This isn’t a new problem, either.  This is Episode 23.  By now, everyone at Toei should be fully aware of the limitations of this production.
Tumblr media
Anyway, Frieza pisses and moans about his revenge and goes to his fourth form to avoid the mistakes he made during his first encounter with Goku.... Except this is exactly what he got wrong on Namek.  He took forever to use his full power against Goku and the others, and kept giving them chances to put up a fight.  Now, he’s doing it again, because his fourth form is no longer his strongest form.  He’s holding Golden Frieza in reserve, and for no good reason.
And you know, if that’s how Frieza wants to play it, fine.  But don’t tell me he’s correcting his past mistakes this way, because he’s not.
If this seems kind of brief, it’s because I skipped over countless reaction shots from other characters, and this annoying thing where the “camera” would rush from one set of characters to another.  Also, Jaco did a lot of whining about wanting to run away, and none of it matters.  This episode bites.

Steven Universe At The Creek Chapter 5 Budgerigar Mission
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
At Pasta La Vista, Bernard and Alexis had been working ever since they arrived earlier. After Bernard receives a text from Steven, he’s looking forward to showing what he does for a living as long as he gives him a tour of the neighborhood afterwards.
“You think Steven will enjoy my Alexis Special?” Alexis asked. “I promise I’ve made it much better.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll convince him to drink it.” Bernard cleaning the tables. “It’s just the food I’m worrying about.”
As Alexis kept an eye on the entrance of the restaurant, Bernard went to the next table to wash it. “Last night’s movie was a good choice for him. Do you wish he would move here at some point?”
“I guess, but it still depends if he liked the neighborhood.” He sprayed the table with clean water while wiping it down with a cloth. “If he did decide to live here, it would take time for me to get used to him. Like I found him really respectful last night, especially how he handles my brother, but when it comes to finding a job, I’m not sure if he’s willing to have this job.”
“You never know, but at the same time I hope he enjoys the food here.”
“Everyone’s a critic, even nice people like him.”
Outside of the restaurant, Steven arrived after leaving the library. He entered through the front door, with the rang from the doorbell getting Bernard's attention. As Steven looked at the restaurant itself, he didn’t expect much after the many restaurants he took during his trip.
“You’re here, welcome to Pasta La Vista.” Bernard walked up to Steven.
“Nice uniforms by the way.” He replied. “Do you think it’s okay that you give me a tour by walking once you’re done?”
“That’s fine, I can give you a map of the neighborhood if you catch on everything.”
“Don’t worry, I can catch on with navigating.”
“Good. Take a seat while I’ll give you the menu.”
As Steven sat down by the table, Bernard headed to the back to find the copies of food menus. Alexis soon placed her Alexis Special in front of Steven. “While you’re waiting, can you try my Alexis Special?” She smiled. “It's one of a kind, and improved.”
Steven looked at the cup itself, he did remember having beverages in the past, but when it comes to homemade from employees, he’s mostly unsure of the idea. “I'll take a drink of it later, I’m not thirsty at the moment.” He turned to Alexis.
“That’s fine, I just hope you would take a sip of it.”
“Be patient, like what I’m doing right now.”
Outside of the restaurant, Craig, J.P., Kelsey, and her pet Mortimer arrived after finishing at the Library. “So, you’re assisting that when Steven comes into the bathroom, Mortimor’s gonna flow in his shirt so you can take a picture from your phone?” Kelsey replied. “I don’t want Mortimor to get hurt, this is a risky plan.”
“I promise he’ll be fine.” Craig turned to Kelsey. “Besides Mortimer, Steven, and I are allowed in the boy’s bathroom.”
“And I’ll make sure that Steven will go to the bathroom by any means necessary!” J.P. added.
“Then what am I supposed to do?” Kelsey stopped her two friends. “Do you even think your brother would accept this? You don’t have any money.”
Craig could believe the only way to convince Bernard is to eat and pay for the food at the restaurant, but he’s not getting back at his brother, especially how this job means to him. “You can help J.P. to distant him while I’ll sneak into the boy’s bathroom.”
Before heading inside, Kelsey took the time to reflect on Craig’s strategy. She’s still impressed with Steven’s inspiration, but she’s not willing to harm him even by having her pet bothering him. On the other hand, she still wants to know what’s underneath his shirt with proof.
“Please make sure he doesn’t get a concussion?” She handed Mortimer to Craig.
“I’ll make sure of it.” He borrowed the bird.
Craig looked through the window, keeping an eye on his brother who just got into the bathroom. He opened the door, with the sound of the doorbell rang, Steven immediately looked at the front door.
Soon enough, Craig and his friends manage to hide behind one of the plant pots. “That’s odd.” He turned around as he finally took a sip of Alexis’s special.
Craig did the best of his skills to sneak to the other side of the restaurant. His friends checked in all of their surroundings in case they didn't get caught by Alexis. Soon they hid behind the final pot next to the restrooms.
“Okay, so once my brother comes out, I’ll come in while you distract him.” He whispered.
“Your brother is still in the bathroom.” Kelsey whispered back. “Besides there’s no way Steven’s gonna come in if it’s in an emergency.”
“Yeah, didn’t think that through.” J.P. added.
Just when they’re in a predicament of no return, Craig then sees the beverage Steven is drinking. It gave him an idea, if Steven can’t use the bathroom, he could still use the sink. He whispered into Kelsey and J.P.’s ear on their plan. Then Bernard came out of the bathroom, as Craig and his friends lowered their bodies, Bernard walked past, heading straight to Steven’s table.
“So you have made your choice?” He asked.
“I’ll just have a few bread sticks and a salad.” He handed the menu back to Bernard. “By the way, did you hear the doorbell ring?”
This only made Bernard roll his eyes, while Craig started to sweat. “We're gonna be caught!” J.P. commented.
“Uhhh, it’s just those old pranks from those eighth graders.” Bernard retorted. “Believe me, you have no idea how many times they’ve kept pulling those pranks.”
Craig took a deep breath in relief, lucky enough he got away with it for now. “Okay, I’m heading straight to the bathroom.” Without wasting any time, he sneaks inside the boy’s restrooms with Mortimer.
“Does this happen everyday?” Steven wondered.
“Pretty much, I can’t remember the last time in one day it didn’t happen.” Bernard said. “Your order will be done momentarily.” As he heads to the back with the menu, Steven as always waits for his food.
Both Kelsey and J.P. went out of the open, exposing themselves to proceed with their plan. “J.P.? Kelsey?” Steven took notice. “You finished your book cover already?”
“Yes we did.” Kelsey smiled.
This only caused Steven to look at the front door again. “Were you two the ones sneaking in here?” He turned back to the kids.
“Ummm…that’s a good beverage you have there.” J.P. changing the subject.
“Excuse me?” Steven raised an eyebrow. “Can you please tell me why you’re here?”
Kelsey refuses to tell the truth to protect Craig’s plan while J.P. grabs the beverage. “Why aren’t you answering my question?”
“Because I wanted to taste this!” Before J.P. would take a sip, Kelsey bumped into him, causing the beverage to splash onto Steven’s shirt. “Kelsey!”
“My shirt!” Steven backed away only to bumped into his chair. He took the beverage from J.P. while placing it back on the table. “You know, I would say that drinking someone else's drink is unacceptable, but…” He then took a deep breath, keeping himself under control. “...I don’t expect every neighborhood to be perfect. Please don’t take someone else’s drink.”
“Yeah, sorry I just like the beverages here.”
“We all like the beverages.” Kelsey added.
“Not surprised by that.” Steven headed straight to the bathroom while Kelsey and J.P. hid behind the other flower pots.
“You know we could just leave until Craig comes out.” J.P. replied.
“We would but what if someone hears the doorbell?” She pointed at the front door.
“Ohh…Craig didn’t think this through.”
“And I doubt his brother won’t see this.”
Inside the boy’s restroom, Craig hid himself while sitting on one of the toilets. He holds onto Mortimer, waiting for the right moment until it comes. Then he heard the restroom’s door pushed open, he looked under the stall to see Steven’s feet. It was his cue to place Kelsey’s bird on the ground, he turned on his phone, prepared to take a picture of Steven’s belly.
Steven took some paper towels and soaked them with water from the sink. As he wiped them on his shirt, Mortimer hoped his way behind Steven from a few feet. Craig slowly opened the bathroom door, while holding onto his phone, slowly making his way to take his picture at the right moment.
Just when Steven threw the paper towels away, he turned around as Mortimer flew in the air, catching his attention. “Wow! A bird.” He reacted while Mortimor landed on his hand. “How did you get in here little fella?” He checked around only to notice no windows in the restrooms. “Seems Bernard didn’t check the bathroom before opening.” Just when he heads straight out the door, Mortimer immediately flows out of his hand, thus flying inside his shirt. “Ahh!”
Mortimer flowed underneath the bottom of Steven’s shirt, he then pulled on it which was the cue for Craig to come out to take the picture. Unfortunately, Steven moved to the sink, trying to get the bird out of his shirt. While Craig moved back, he laid down on the ground to take the picture, while making sure Steven didn’t spot him. But then Bernard came in, after hearing pounding from the back.
“Craig!?” He reacted which caused Steven to turn around as Mortimer flew out.
Craig then took a picture just before Steven’s shirt came down. “Bernard!” He reacted upon standing up while putting his phone away.
“What are you doing here!?” This only caused Bernard’s memory to come back to him. “You were the one who opened the front door and sneaked in!?”
“You were?” Steven exclaimed, getting the feathers out of his shirt. “Wait, that would mean his friends did sneak in here.”
“What!?” Bernard soon got out of the restrooms to spot Craig’s friends hiding behind the flower pots. “Get away from that!” Soon Kelsey and J.P. got out in the open, caught without any way to escape. “Craig, you could’ve broken something and I’ll end up paying for it.” As Steven came out of the bathroom, Mortimer flew back onto Kelsey’s head. “Okay, you three are banned here for the day.” As Bernard grabbed his brother’s arm, Craig, Kelsey, and J.P. got kicked out of Pasta La Vista.
“Bernard, we didn’t mean to-”
“Zip it Craig!” Bernard shouted back. “Everything would’ve been fine if you didn’t sneak in here. Do you even have any money?”
Craig lowered his head. “No.”
Bernard signed as he closed the door. “I’m sorry about my brother, I didn’t think he was going to do that.” As Steven took the last feather out of the inside of his shirt, he straightened his shirt. “What happened to your shirt?”
“I had to wipe it with water because your brother’s friends splashed my beverage on me.” Steven answered.
“Why am I not surprised by that?” Bernard looked up at the ceiling. “This is what I was talking about yesterday.”
“He’s just a kid.”
“Did you even notice what he was doing in the bathroom?”
“I didn’t see what he was doing until you came in.”
“Not to mention he took a picture of you. But don’t worry, I’ll take care of this once I’m done giving you a tour of the neighborhood.” As Bernard headed to the back, Steven didn’t head back to his table. He looked straight at Craig and his friends outside the window with a straight face after what happened.
As Kelsey checked Mortimer from all sides of his body, Craig took out his phone. “Did you take the picture?” J.P. asked.
“Yes but…” When he pulled up the photo, he zoomed in on Steven’s body only to see bits of Steven’s belly button. “I didn’t get the whole thing.”
When Kelsey looks at the picture itself, despite the blur, she notices the shape of the object. “I think it looks like a pinkish orb.” She replied.
“If it was an orb, it would’ve been sticking out but it’s not.”
“It’s almost like a button in a belly button.” J.P. commented.
“But I doubt he’s a robot, there’s gotta be more than that.” Craig tries to come up with another plan but for the time being, he and his friends are banned from the restaurant. “I think that pinkish thing has to do something with Steven’s…Steven’s…”
“Steven’s what!?” Both Kelsey and J.P. replied.
“I don’t know!” Craig took a deep breath to calm himself down. “Let’s just leave.”
As Kelsey and J.P. walked past their best friend, Craig looked at Steven who’s still staring at him. He wasn’t mad, but still gave him the same straight look while noticing his phone. Craig didn’t move a muscle, giving Steven the same look he’s giving. He knows he doesn’t have much time to stick around, but he’s never going to let it go from his mind. The object inside Steven’s shirt means more if his life’s that different than his.
“Steven!” Bernard called as he placed the food on Steven’s table. “Your order is here.” Upon hearing the call, Steven headed back to his table, while Craig followed his friends.

🚼 (Norah and Danny qpp)
send me a 🚼 and a ship I’ll use a doll-maker to design what I think a child between our two muses would look like
Tumblr media
Stevie Johnson
Stevie is from a universe where the Johnson parents decided to wait a couple more years to have a child, resulting in Danny never being born and instead Stevie took his place. Like him they were absolutely not what their parents wanted but unlike him they were much more forward about it and ended up running away.
Stevie ended up in a bad cowrd as they tried to survive on the street as a queer person in the late 70's ealry 80's, their 'friends' found them amusing for how rarely they would emote, while at the same time when they set Stevie up they'd be brutal towards people, mainly in fights these 'friends' set up for their own amusement.
They could tell that their friends were using them, saw their violent outbrusts as amusing but... Hey if they knew then that meant they were in control, yes? It was fine. (It was not fine, in fact while they were unaware of it their friends were sloely trying to see if they could turn Stevie into a killer like in a horror movie, even had a costume with a scary mask picked out)
But before this world got it's Ghostface too something... Unexpected happened, Danny and Norah, who escaped Murdertown ended up in this universe as their first attempt at finding their own home universes to tie up loose ends, quickly they ran into Stevie and their 'friends' and recognized 1. Stevie was like a full ass teenager who was in a bar and 2. Their friends kept egging them on into upsetting situations 3. They... Were very obviously related to Danny.
So the pair took Stevie under their wing and have been trying to guide them away from making any large mistakes they can't take back, they were also more than happy to skip out of their universe and help Notah and Danny with their mission.
I feel like they're quite close with Norah and have been trying to improve their own writing so as to bound with her, they write poetry.

Jeff FM Livestream/Live Podcast Jan 6th
-I wondered who the guest would be this week since Mike and Tana are still not back in LA. So what does he do? Rather than get a guest he did a live podcast. For those not familiar, he’s done these before. It was back when he was dating Georgie so summer 2022. Basically if he doesn’t have a guest but obviously needs to film a pod he’ll do a livestream (to meet that Patreon obligation) so he has a pod for that week. They aren’t usually any good though. Oscar will edit the live and somehow turn it into a podcast for YouTube. This one was very boring. Jeff wasn’t prepared. Despite calling himself a comedian at times, he’s not and he can’t improve. It’s always obvious when he hasn’t prepared anything for the show. He said at one point in the live that he’s passionate about this but it hasn’t seemed like that in a while. The recap…
-they had a few songs playing before the live started. The last one was that techno song where the girl keeps singing “Do you think you’re better off alone?” Said that’s him right now and that he’s better off alone. (Being whiny about being single)
-said he filmed a documentary while in Mexico about smuggling drugs and brought some back to LA. Mike had a video on his Snap of David filming Jeff and I guess that’s what Jeff was talking about.
The amount of times he kept bringing up that he was hanging out with a cartel and smuggled drugs back - it was weird and dumb since this is going on YouTube. I kept thinking to myself “he’s trying to find a wife to have a family with but he keeps talking (joking) about being involved with cartels and drug smuggling, wtf is he doing?!? What woman is going to feel safe and trusting of him when that’s the thing he keeps talking about?”
-said it’ll probably have to just be on Patreon because he’d have to blur too much if he posted it on YouTube.
-had a great time in NY with his family for Christmas but was depressed when he got back to LA. (But didn’t go to therapy or get help like he should be doing) 🙄
-has been watching movies alone at his place lately
-hasn’t responded to any of the dating emails. Has seen some. Some girls sent in PDFs. Some put “sex?” and he said that’s not what he’s looking for. Said he might have Oscar sort through them. Jeff doesn’t want to do that.
-he watched some Y2K documentary about the year 2000 but the conversation was pointless because most of the Patreon were either just born or babies when that was happening so they probably don’t care. People seemed bored in the chat for most of the live which isn’t usual.
-he kept going on about how he liked the movie Saltburn but kept asking if that makes him gay now? He kept repeating that “joke” but it wasn’t funny and made him seem weird. Said he liked the scene where the main character drinks the cum of the other male character from the bathtub, like wtf Jeff?!? And he wasn’t kidding during that part, he was being serious. Oh boy
-said things with Steven are fine but he’s taking a break for now.
-Ryan was in studio on the couch
-Ryan said his goal is to run at least a mile every day this year. He wants to log 500 miles this year. Jeff said he’d pay him $500 if he does.
-they talked about Fantasy Football. Jeff has been doing it because of pod sponsors.
-Jeff likes the new show “The Curse”
-Ryan asked Jeff what he wants to work on this year and he said “investigative journalism”. I guess that’s what he thinks he’s doing with the drug cartel weirdo bs he filmed in Mexico? Said he wants to film places Mike wouldn’t want to go. Wants to go to Antarctica. Said he would bring Oscar, Kyle, Ryan and probably Cody so he could see Cody get arrested there.
-said he wants to go to Colombia again this year to track down Pablo Escobar? Or do something with him. More drug stuff - why tf is he talking about this?
-Jeff mentioned Cody’s “travel more for less” way he’s able to travel. Sooo sketchy
-said Italy fixed his depression when he was there. No mention of the Siciliy trip at all.
-said because of his brother’s 23 & Me results knows that he’s 67% Sicilian. People in the chat were saying his results might be different from his brother’s so he can’t really go on that completely.
-in the last live he said he bought Rolling Stones concert tickets for him, Mike, and Mike’s mom for their May show in New Jersey. IN this live he said he hasn’t actually bought the tickets yet. OMG!!!
-said he didn’t like the parties/events/sparkly dresses from New Year’s in Mexico. Said he didn’t kiss anyone at midnight. If you watched Mike’s latest Night Shift you can see Jeff standing behind Mike alone and filming the fireworks. If he didn’t want to party and had no girl with him I’m confused why he even went? I feel like he would’ve come back depressed like usual. People kept asking him throughout the two hours how Mexico was and he never answered besides what I just wrote.
-overall his mood was kinda weird. He said the usual “I’m happy and in a good place” all while whining about being single and saying he’s depressed. It was basically a waste of time and it’s beyond obvious he just needed to film something/anything for the pod. I really hope this isn’t a song of how this year will go because it isn’t a great start at all.
Thank you!
