Summary: Filming a certain episode of Wanteez has left you with a more than just tipsy boyfriend! Lucky for him, he´s cute!

You didn´t know what exactly what woke you up. Was it Byeol who had decided to grace you with her presence or maybe the honking of passing by cars? You honestly didn´t know!

With a quick glance at your LED-alarm clock you realized that it was already close to3 in the morning and San, your boyfriend had yet to join you in bed for the night.

It wasn´t unusual that he was staying late at the company or that he decided to go back to the dorm with Seonghwa and Mingi because of an early schedule, but today you could swear that he would be coming over after he was done filming.

Something about filming new content for Wanteez and having the day after off to recharge their energy!

San hadn´t gone into specifics about what exactly they were going to film and you had long given up asking since he had kind of made it a tradition to watch their content with you to see your reaction.

This time however you got a bit worried as your boyfriend always made sure to at least text you when he wasn´t coming home. That´s why you forced yourself to became a little more awake to reach for your phone in the dark.

The brightness of the screen almost blinded you and you had to blink a few times to get your eyes used to it.

Surprised to see that you had a couple texts from not just San but apparently half of the other members too, you read through them all.

The first thing you noticed was that all of them had apparently lost every sense of grammar they had.

The second thing was Hongjoong apologizing for something you couldn´t quite figure out. Wooyoung sending you at least 20 pics that wouldn´t load due to KQs horrible Wi-Fi and San sending you a voice message with almost 5 minutes in length!

The last one was a message from Seonghwa.

Pls come pck up yur boyfrien and tak care if him??? ˃̣̣̥᷄⌓˂̣̣̥᷅ -received 2:23 am

Are they… drunk???

Your suspicion proofed to be correct when you started listening to your boyfriend´s voice message. You could feel yourself going soft as you cooed at San stuttering his way through the message, repeating the same thing about 3 times before trailing of and end the message with a soft and tired, “…nd I luv *hicks* you m´bby…”

Not being able to spot the giggle from escaping your lips followed by a sigh, you sat up in your bed.

Byeol, not happy about being woken up from her slumber threw a sassy glare in your direction before going back to sleep.

“I´m sorry cutie,”

Your phone lit up again. Another message from the groups oldest member.

I knw your up! DON INORE ME AN GET SANNIE HOM!!! -received 2:34 am

Alright, alright! I´m on my way… Dorm or company? -sent 2:35 am

With a loud groan which made Byeols ears twitch gently, you threw the warm blanket off of your body to get dressed, opting for a pair of grey sweatpants which belonged to San judging by the size and one of his shirts laying on top of the clean laundry basket, you had yet to put away, you grabbed your phone, a mask and your car keys and walked out of the apartment with a pair of cat ear slippers on your feet.

They had been a birthday gift from Haneul, your boyfriends sister claiming that she couldn´t not buy them for you, seeing as San was basically a human shaped cat!

The drive was shorter than usual with just a few cars passing by. It was in the middle of the night after all!

Suppressing a tired yawn, you parked the car in the private garage of the apartment complex, greeting the security guard who already knew you from your countless visits at the dorms and vanished inside the elevator taking you to the correct floor.

You always found it impressive how they always managed to be loud enough to already be heard outside in the hallway and knowing that they probably wouldn´t be able to hear the doorbell either way, you punched the security PIN into the lockpad and let yourself in.

What you saw, was definitely not what you expected.

Yes San, Seonghwa and Mingi weren´t the type to say no when offered a cuddle, but seeing 3 fully grown men clinging to each other like koalas to their mother, whispering and giggling in hushed voices together was not on your bingo card for the night…

Leaning against the wall, you continued watching the 3 unnoticed for a while.

You didn´t know what they were talking about since their hushed whisper was soft enough to not be heard where you were standing.

“hmm an y/n does ths thng with their tongu-“

“Sannie!?” hastily you cut the drunk boy off, preventing him from spilling more than he probably already had.

Sans head whipped around at the sound of your voice, happy to see you.

“YEOBO!”

Mingi flinched slightly at the sudden increase in volume from the older 99-liner.

You were honestly surprised he was able to pronounce the word properly with how droopy his eyes were, face dangerously red from alcohol and seemingly close to falling over even though he was still sitting, leaning against the back of the couch.

“Come on you big baby, let´s get you home and in bed!”

Upon hearing those words, the performer got up, looking a little like a newborn lamb I doing so, and stumbled over to where you were. Pressing a loud but still sweet kiss to your cheek before wrapping his arms tightly around your middle!

You waved at the two other boys left behind on the couch, fondly rolling your eyes as they continued giggling.

Careful, as to not let him fall flat on his face, you helped put on his shoes and led him out the door.

It was a short walk but turned out to take way longer as San kept swaying, slowly losing the fight against the sleepiness.

The security guard waiting in the garage, couldn´t hide an amused smile as he watched you drag your half conscious boyfriend to the car.

Once he was seated and you took your place behind the wheel, you wanted to start the engine but were ultimately stopped by San grabbing your face in his hands clumsily, turning you to face him.

With wide eyes and squished cheeks you stared at him.

“Kiss?” he pouted, lips pursed cutely and waiting for you to follow his request.

His eyes were almost completely shut sitting there patiently.

You weren´t able to deny him a kiss even on a normal day, let alone like this!

After having received his kiss, he happily let you go to lean back. Smiling satisfied.

“Cute,” you said quietly to yourself before putting the car in reverse an dpulling out of the parking lot.

It wasn´t a surprise that the giant boy fell asleep and thankfully he wasn´t as hard to wake up as you had expected with the way he had started snoring.

Byeol greeted you two at the door, wrapping herself around your lour legs before doing the same to San.

“Byeol-ah! Oppa´s home!”

Bending down to pet the cat, he almost lost his balance if you hadn´t reacted as fast as you did.

“Yes and oppa needs to go to be right now!”

He let himself get dragged into the bedroom, flopping on the bed and closing his eyes, ready to let sleep take over but you forced him to at least get rid of his jeans and into his sleep shirt before whipping the remaining make up away for his face.

Dazed, he watched as you gently took care of him, enjoying every second of the pampering.

“Why are you looking at me like that San-ah?”

The boy shrugged.

“Luv you so mch my bby! Thnk you for takin care ´f me!”

His words made your face feel exponential warmer than before.

Throwing the makeupwipe into the trash can, you came back to sit next to him, pulling the blanket over him before pressing your lips gently onto his.

“I love you too my drunk baby!”

i havent said anything personally on the situation bc im not sure that its my place & not sure what my next move is .

first off shelby has been incredibly brave and as someone who doesn't watch her and hasnt ever, ive felt mostly that it was best for me to be supportive in a quiet way & that it wasnt my place to give my input . most of all i didnt want to reduce her solely to her abuse and "victimhood" as to me it feels extremely counterproductive to post only about that when she is obviously more than what she went through . it felt disingenuous to begin posting about it as if i was someone who's always cared about shubbles content when honestly im not . bc at the end of the day its not about me and its not about her abuser , its about shubble and ive never been a member of her community .

i dont want my silence to be interpreted as me not caring about the situation or not believing her because i do ; i don't want to speak where my voice isnt needed or could take away from others . from some of the responses ive been seeing though i feel its far more important to listen to and boost her voice than be quiet .

i dont want to talk about him because ultimately this is about platforming shelby and what shes gone through . that said i HAVE watched, posted about and supported her all-but-named abuser , so im involved at least on that level and i want to say i am horrified by the abuse shubble has described.

the general reaction to her coming forward i have seen on this site and others , from one end of the spectrum (she hasnt said his name so we cant know / its not that bad / blatant excuses and defense of him) to the other (leaktwt / posts about how hes always been a creep / jumping down the throats of anyone who words their thoughts in a way they deem wrong) has been horrifying to witness . some of the most unproductive commentary ive seen on an issue like this and i was here from cmc to drm .

im deeply upset and feel i should say somewhere that some of the shit ive seen is unacceptable and contradictory to shelbys initial point, which i understand to be 2 things: 1) highlighting how abuse is not always obvious, or 'normal', and ways to recognize these situations as a victim 2) to highlight her own personal experiences and to stop both her own abuser and others from being platformed .

mcytdom is NOTORIOUS for "drama" like this and similarly well-known for being unable to boost / listen to / BELIEVE victims or at least leave them the fuck alone . to anyone who's ever been groomed or abused, esp my mutuals who have received extremely insensitive messages and feedback in wake of this , my heart goes out to you and i hope you are doing alright & know how appreciated and strong you are . shelby, niki, and other victims of abuse should be listened to and celebrated for both their bravery and strength and for who they are as people .

on a more personal note heres ig what im going to do going forward

this is my blog & im not leaving it , wont be deleting any posts either , mutuals id love to stay in touch if youre moving out or moving on .

very likely ill still be here in the smp hell . just gonna have to see how i feel about it all . in the three and a half years ive been drawing reading and writing about these characters a lot has changed including my perspective . ultimately tho its not about me

general message i want to get across is that im glad shelby is healing and getting the help she needs, as well as doing well enough to help others recognize the signs . love you my mutuals and friends and followers . take care of yourselves

Hello :) I'm Dream, the Admin of Dream SMP- which, I'll admit, has fallen into a bit of chaos as of late because I may have been locked in prison for a bit after the entire server decided to turn on me. But it's fine, because now I'm out and I'm able to work on regaining control again and fixing everything :) I've also been busy studying the secrets of life, death, and immortality, so that should be pretty helpful in doing that :)

And of course, you've likely heard some... things about me from certain members of the server, but I can assure you that anything you may have heard has been greatly exaggerated :) Some people just can't stand the idea of having rules to follow, you know? :)

Anyway, welcome, and I'm willing to answer any questions you may have :)

K’tar reverts to 1.67: Some notes...

So in the wake of EA forcing everyone to update from the Origin App to the EA App, which sporadically seems to cause even more problems than the Origin App for many TS3 players, I decided it was finally time to take the plunge and stop playing on 1.69. Below the cut, What I did, how I did it, issues and questions I ran into, and some notes.

First, I started off using this tutorial here: https://sims3tutorialhub.tumblr.com/post/176328544696/installing-sims-via-torrent Simply using the NoCD mod would not have worked for me, as I only own a few of the TS3 expansions and stuff packs via disc, and own most of them digitally. By the time I realized this might be an issue for me later, I already owned them all, and I don’t believe in paying for an entire franchise a second time just because game companies like EA will bleed you dry if they can.

Question #1: Do I need to uninstall first? After backing up the EA folder in my docs folder and the everything in the program files folder as well, per the suggestion in the above tutorial, and having already downloaded all the needed files, this was the first question that popped up for me. I don’t actually know the answer, but I decided that since my current installation was in Origin, which I hope not to use again (at least for TS3), I would uninstall everything from Origin, so I did so.

After that, I abandoned the above tutorial and instead followed the instructions that came with the downloaded files. They’re fairly concise and easy to follow. I went back and checked eventually and they’re basically the same as the ones in the above tutorial, except you’ve no need for further downloads, because everything is already included in what you’ve downloaded. If you are following the above tutorial to download the 1.67 super patch, be aware that you may have to copy and paste the link into a new browser tab to get the download to work. (I did.) This took me to having completed step 7 in the above tutorial.

Next, a step that isn’t mentioned in the tutorial, or the instructions in the download. Copy over your GraphicsCards.sgr and GraphicsRules.sgr from your old Program Files x86/.../Bin folder to your new one. This way your game will still recognize your graphics card and any changes you previously made to the graphics rules will remain.

Then I installed the proper version of @lazyduchess ’s Smooth patch into the same Bin folder. Thanks again for making it work with 1.67! I had a bit of trouble editing the TS3Patch.txt file, because the Bin folder properties had been set such that it wouldn’t let me edit the file directly. I ended up creating a copy of the file on my desktop, editing that, deleting the one in the Bin folder, and then moved the edited file into the Bin folder and gave the admin permission confirmation required.

As a last step, I installed the Nraas No CD mod to my mods/packages folder with the rest of my nraas mods and discovered that all of my game folders were still present, complete with logs, saved games, mods, everything. I wasn’t expecting that, as I thought everything would have been deleted when I uninstalled things, but nope. Everything was present and accounted for and I didn’t need to retrieve anything from the backup I’d made of that folder.

My game started up just fine. Nothing was missing, all mods seem to be working fine and are present. The game seems to take just a tad longer to start up than what I’ve been used to lately, but it’s like... maybe an extra minute, which is completely worth no longer having to deal with Origin and/or whatever online DRM crap EA may come up with in the future. Now I can play... with NO INTERNET. FREEDOM! My graphics were perfect, I didn’t need to adjust any settings at all, and everything was good to go.

Edit to add: If you’ve only ever played on 1.69, be aware that 1.67 does not have a built-in easy way to enable/disable expansions and stuff packs. However, someone shared with me this link to a mod that someone created to do precisely that! Of course, your experience may vary... I’m running on a desktop computer with Windows 10, with all expansions and stuff packs installed, nearly 25k individual pieces of CC installed via CCMagic, plus a couple hundred other un-merged script mods and default replacement files installed in my Mods/Packages folder. (In case that helps at all.)

hi nobu -- first off i want to say that this feels like such a massive understatement but THANK you. this honestly made me tear up. i think we are all hurting for kindness a bit right now and something so unprovoked and heartfelt made my entire week so much brighter. you are the only anon i have who still signs off, and in a way, you are a familiar face to me too ❤️🫂 thank you for your kindness, always.

i also want to echo your sentiments about the creativity in this fandom; i have had far more articulate friends talk about how unique this fandom was in its ability to self-sustain -- every day i saw artists and writers creating, i was inspired soo often (even when i didnt have the energy to follow through) despite a lack of content. although it hurts a lot (A. LOT. sorry to everyone thats heard me cry about this since it started) that things ended the way they did, what i loved most about this place was always and always will be the community.

i have never had such an amazing opportunity to connect with other artists, other writers, to collaborate -- i have grown a crazy amount because of every person on dtblr (especially the ones who supported me when my art was um... Well). i literally could not begin to list every person who has changed my life here, but in some ways, i feel like i can; this place has always felt close-knit and uplifting in a way no other fandom has to me, and im so grateful so many disbanded dtblr blogs left breadcrumbs to their new ventures. even though we may disconnect and fade away from each other over time, what we've had is so bright and irreplaceable -- i can't even pretend to regret my time here :) even beyond a creativity standpoint, posting here and talking to everyone was always a blast. one of the things that made me bawl in those first few days was thinking about losing all the silly inside jokes we had -- in some stupid ways, i feel like its graduation and dtblr is my homeroom class 😭

i am so so touched to hear about the fic, even if you never show me or never finish. it sounds corny but every single piece of writing or art i inspired is deeply meaningful to me. they represent the best part of being here, and ive looked back on fics dedicated to me or even my old DTIYS more than anyone could ever know. maybe someday youll be able to convert it into something new and share it anyway :) i would love to read it

i have given so much of myself to this fandom over the last 2 years (almost exactly, haha! i watched my first drm video on my birthday), and i have always been treated with overwhelming kindness. thank you for being part of what made everything so special 💗💗💗 much much love

I started watching dsmp in February of 2021. I never posted anything then bc of my social anxiety (and maybe that was for the best).

I watched the stuff before that. I watched so many streams Live the prison streams, egg saga, Wilburs revival, las nevadas, nearly every beeduo stream. I am not exageratting when I say I have probably spent like a thousand hours watching it.

The story of dsmp is weird. It's mc roleplay at it's best and worst at the same time somehow. It had so many good writing, banger lines, Cool stories, characters and concepts and yet it had unsatisfying endings, wasted potentials and an unnecessary amount of angst (a good ending isn't a bad thing ffs).

The problem with dsmp was, like any smp it completely depends on people playing the actual smp. And if they don't the smp simply dies. And dsmp was never something that could exceed a years time. Other smps that go on for a long time are more building and redstone focused (many of the dsmp members are not) or they have a wacky premise (dsmp does not)

The only reason people would log onto the Server was because 1) everybody was in quarantine 2) To roleplay

But then we could go outside again. And some of them didn't want to roleplay anymore. So they stopped logging on. And then some others followed suit. And slowly even people like foolish who streamed god knows how many fucking hours stopped. And so nobody was active anymore. Because what was the point of you being active if you're just gonna be alone in a fecking smp.

And so it died.

Or it should've died. Because unlike many smps that ended when people stopped playing it dsmp didn't. It could've. The story could've ended in so many different points before this and it would've been fine. But it didn't.

It kept going. It was like a suffering animal that needed to be put out of it's misery. But they kept it going.

They would do an event once like 5 months 10 people would join and nobody would log on again for another 5 months.

Lore streams would have 6 months between them.

They would say soon so many fucking times yet nothing would ever be soon, sometimes it would never happen.

Drm kept adding some new people which would get welcomed one day and the next day they were left alone (I feel really bad for those folks).

The very obvious miscommunication was so fucking irritating as it ruined a lot of peoples lore by them getting ignored or not being informed.

(The way some ccs ridiculed fans or even other ccs for liking or caring about lore was awful.)

And with all that I just wanted this smp to be put out of it's fucking misery (I wanted it especially for fans and ccs who gave a shit about this story)

I ended up dropping it at the end of 2021.

But the smp was dragged on and on and on...

And then there was the c!clingyduo ending. I did not watch the ending, dont plan on doing so ever. But from what I've seen other people say and from the recap I read. I can easily say: That the ending was BAD. I don't wanna go too indebt on it but what the genuine fuck was that message.

I am beyond dissapointed. I stopped caring about it long ago, my expectations were none but still, HOW can they fuck it up this BAD.

(Wilbur going to Utah is a better ending. HOW)

In the end I liked it and I hated it. (Some ccs are really cool and I really like their content beside the smp, follow them even now, some of them I would've rather I never knew them) Fandom was bizzare; one day I was having so much fun with the most creative and amazing fan content out there, one day I was questioning my own morality because of drama. It helped me through the pandemic as much as it damaged me mentally in ways. In the end though the positives outwayed the negatives, not by much, but today, I don't regret joining it (I think)

{Also The best and the only good part of that finale was when Jack Manifold said 'it's Manifolding time' and Manifolded all over the place}

These are a mere smidge of my thoughts. I have so many thoughts that I could write multiple essays of everything that I like and dislike about this smp. But honestly, what is the point.

Burnout Paradise (Steam, PC) Game Review

When the news that this game's online servers were going down in about a month came out, I figured I better enjoy it while I can, seeing as how I collect games faster than I ever have time to play them all. I'm gonna get the ugly out of the way, because EA needs to be called out on this kind of crap: My steam copy of the game has basically been rendered unable to access any online features for unknown reasons. It fought with me about my old Ea account, it fought with me about making/using new EA accounts. It told me my disc code was already used. It told me the account I was trying to use "already has the maximum number so personas assigned to it". I spent a while on the phone with a nice lady from tech support but she wasn't able to help. She recommended I see if Steam Support can get me a new game key, but every link I followed said I can't. So, effectively, thanks To Ea implementing shitty DRM into a game to punish the people who actually paid for it (on top of that fact that most Steam games are DRM-locked by nature), I have a game that is missing part of the gameplay experience it promised me. and that's really uncool. But the game itself? It's actually quite fun once you get the hang of it. I stumbled quite a bit at first - I couldn't figure out to even access the options menu, or start my car, begin an event, or exit the game (!) BUT once I got all that ironed out, I was *bill cosby voice* doin all the zippin and the boppin and smashing up all the cars zip zob zibbity zop and having quite a good time! It's a bit repetitive in gameplay, but it's often so exciting and action-packed that I don't mind. Still, I can't recommend the game on *this* format, because I don't like to make excuses for crAAApy companies like EA treating their player base poorly. I'd recommend picking up a used physical copy somewhere, so EA can't rip you off and take your money like they did to me (though, for all I know, they do that on the old console versions, too!).

My point here is that the sim should WORK with the default senery, while the online scenery streaming is only a plus. FSX stores the whole world’s scenery (at a very low quality) in 8GB, but it works offline. Therefore, this sim itself supports offline scenery, so you do NOT need a huge hard disk to store a lower-quality worldwide quality. When your network is bad you can see the lower-quality “default” scenery in this sim. When I unplug my Internet cable in the welcome screen, I can choose anywhere to fly and fly without a problem (There will be a note saying that I’m in offline mode and there’s no offline scenery streaming, but the sim works.) Therefore it’s only requesting the sim to support offline mode at launch. Therefore, I would like to request the sim to launch when offline, so that the sim works properly without Internet connection.įirstly, this sim DOES have a offline mode AFTER you launch it with Internet connection.

A packed week today sees a huge swat of issues, UK expressed concern over Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Denuvo tries to put out fires, Embracer Group completes acquisition of Tomb Raider developers, and Nintendo remarks, "No Price Increase".

🕹️ The Console War Rages On

Denuvo has clarified specific criticisms aimed at the company after their announcement - In a report by Kotaku, Denuvo representatives responded to claims of reduced performance and always online DRM checks. The spokesperson stated that they designed the newest iteration of the piracy-delaying software with the Switch's limited online connectivity online. The DRM is entirely offline, and the company claims there will be no performance hit. The spokesperson also stated that multiple third-party switch developers requested the software. (Source)

Nintendo has stated, "No Price Increase" - Following Sony's price increase of the PS5, investors asked Nintendo if there would be a Switch price increase due to global shortages and inflation. Nintendo reported no plans to increase the Switch price due to either issue. (Source)

Embracer Group has completed new acquisitions - In a tweet by the official account of Embracer, they have confirmed the acquisition of Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal & the soon-to-be-renamed Square Enix Montreal. These studios will be under the 12th operative group led by Phil Rogers. (Source)

Sony has acquired mobile game developers Savage Games Studios - In a press release on the official PlayStation blog, Sony has announced that they have acquired Savage Game Studios. This new mobile studio will work with Sony to bring their IPs to the mobile platforms. Sony reiterated that this would not hamper their efforts on the PlayStation. (Source)

Sony and Tencent have acquired a minority stake in FromSoftware - Both companies will get shares via a third-party allotment. Once the transaction is complete, FromSoftware's parent company Kadokawa Corp will receive 263 Million USD, with Tencent Holdings Ltd holding 16.25% and Sony Group Corp holding 14.09%. Kadokawa Corp will retain 69.66%. (Source)

The UK has expressed concerns over Mircosoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard - The Competition And Markets Authority in the UK has been hard at work investigating the acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft. They noted that at the end of their Phase 1 investigation, they were concerned about Microsoft's control over Call of Duty & World of Warcraft and Microsoft's ability post-acquisition to harm rivals in multi-game subscription services and cloud gaming. The CMA continued in their report to note that Microsoft has a major console, Xbox, a leading cloud platform, Azure, and the top PC operation system, Windows. While Microsoft president and vice chair Brad Smith has stated that they are ready and willing to work with the CMA to ensure concerns are addressed. Brad Smith made mention of Sony's concern that Call of Duty will be an Xbox exclusive by stating that they wanted people to have more access to games, not less. The CMA has stated that they will be moving into a deeper Phase 2 investigation if their concerns are not adequately addressed. (Source)

i’m mostly a dteam main and i followed you recently bc i noticed like a very recent significant uptick in people being rude/negative about sbi (who i also like, but my follow list is mostly dteam blogs) and so i’ve been looking for more blogs to follow who won’t do that because it makes me sad and uncomfortable :( why can’t we all just get along

i'm not sure if i've noticed the same uptick you have (outside of ciara's blog, which i don't count because it's just insanity over there) but that could just be based on who i follow. i also don't tend to remember neg/crit of people i'm not parasocial towards (aka most ccs including sbi) since it doesn't Hurt in that annoying parasocial way drm neg can hurt, so don't take this as me dismissing your perception of things.

but i digress 😭 in general i just do not hold very much hate in my heart for anyone, especially ccs i don't follow super closely. this may surprise some of you but i would say i easily have the most critical thoughts about dream compared with literally any other cc by a long shot, since i follow him the closest and know enough about him to feel comfy being critical of him without fear of being factually incorrect.

pettiness and superiority complexes (on any side) just feel exhausting to me - this is all over minecraft youtubers, how did we get here, etc etc. i would give you some recs, but the only blog i can think of off the top of my head that also likes sbi/isn't rude is someone you probably already follow (@angeloncewas) - they're lowkey a huge inspiration for how i approach discourse in this fandom so i'm giving them a shout out here nonetheless <3

YOUR TAGS ON THE "tell me you love me" CLIP , YES, SO TRUE! everyone was talking about how cute it was, while I was thinking about how different drm was acting the whole stream. gnf was most definitely exasperated during that clip, you can literally see him almost roll his eyes. idk what's up with them rn, but I find it so interesting the way they were both acting on last night's stream, and the last couple of streams from the previous days. the basketball stream first solidified that something was off with both of them, gnf was being passive agressive and dream was talking SO much about gnf ignoring him. then on the csgo stream dream seemed kinda moody too, but still wanted to play with them, and then on the bedwars stream he was moody AGAIN but still wanted to play with him. and I really liked that you pointed out that dream does leave v quickly when he's in a certain mood, so him leaving so fast was super interesting. I have no clue what's going on with dnf right now, but somethings just off, they still want to play and stream together, but there's something clearly going on behind the scenes that they'll probably throw under the rug soon 🥴

But yeah I mean it’s Very clear something happened before the basketball stream.. And it seemed George felt moody during that, whilst Dream seemed to be extra clingy and attentive to him, (which I’ve noticed he does when he feels he’s upset George in some way, he like tries making up for it) but eventually in the cs stream it seems like he’s snapped over George not giving him enough attention, and going to play a game with others instead of bedwars with him is like recipe for pissed off Dream 😅 so he’s now the one being in a mood instead and idk I just felt there was something so earnest in his voice when he said ‘you don’t care about me’ 🥺

You see the charity stream when they were super close like my god the vibes in that was insanely soft and giggly, it was clear things were Very good between them during that and I think that’s a lot to do with the fact that they’d been spending a lot of time off stream just the two of them and the rest of their friends had been pretty busy so it had really been just them two, and their bond seems to truly Thrive during times like that when it’s just Them, 24/7, alone together and attention on each other and nobody else. That’s truly when they’re at their best.

However. You can tell things always get shaken up when others come into play and attention gets put on other people,, and others getting involved is normal but with them it’s like,, Dream esp can’t rly stand that 😬 I’m sorry to say it but like the proof is so Loud I’m just observing the man is obsessed with George and wants his attention 24/7 and for nobody else to have him 😭 the clip I posted “I want you to follow me around everywhere like a little puppy” HE MEANS THAT, that’s the Best way you could describe how he feels about George lmaooo 😭

But this isn’t the first time it’s happened like he really has shown a pattern of this and they always bounce back to their close dnf vibes again after some time - they just need some alone time again.

And again. Aaand again. And like, again. And then stay like that forever I guess, 😅

Or they need to find a better way about this like idk

Since you're an author, what's your opinion on the Internet Archive getting sued by publishers for piracy?

Oof, time to raise some eyebrows on both sides of this argument.

Let me provide an Abstract of all the points I'm going to tackle here (going full-on APA here):

While I do not believe that the Internet Archive should have been brought to court regarding this case, there does need to be a conversation had in regards to literature and book piracy. When it comes to creative fiction, memoirs, and independently-funded/created works, I don't condone piracy since authors and writers from those fields are scarcely getting paid for their work as it is. However, with textbooks and the like, due to the incredibly unbalanced 'cost-to-utility' ratio of most academically backed textbooks is horrifically skewed in favor of high costs, piracy should not only be accepted but encouraged.

Now, let's delve in:

With Internet Archive jumping in to fill a niche that libraries weren't able to due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I commend them on that. However, I don't imagine that they did much on regards to preventing people from making copies of the books they got from the Archive and distributing or even selling them. That's the case where I feel that publishers have a case in feeling as though their businesses are being attacked.

... However, this sentiment is biased from the point of view that the people who I really care about being affected by this sort of piracy are the writers themselves. I have been seeing numerous cases of recent writers who are barely breaking into their works being published being told that the publishing deals have been cancelled because someone has been distributing their works on piracy sites.

That. Is. DEVASTATING. Both fiscally and spiritually.

And I know that some of you may be thinking 'oh, that's so fucked up; that can't be happening!', but here's the thing:

The Western Book Industry is FUCKED.

I've mentioned this several times before but the whole thing is a slit-throat collection of cliques and archaic, unsustainable practices that people refuse to examine in favor of just head-hunting for people who can churn out 8 volumes of the same lowest-common denominator YA book to bring in a good few years' worth of royalty checks. The average literary agent or publishing house will not care if you have a dedicated following or customer-base if they see that any version of your work is being offered for free in any shape or form.

There is no reason to pirate a fiction book. Especially, to bring a related tangent, in the case of indie books or comics -- People, come ON. In those cases ESPECIALLY there's no reason to pirate since, more often than not, funds from sales of those books are going directly back into an author's hands rather than just a cut of them.

... Now, textbooks on the other hand?! Pirate them. If you can find a safe means to do it, pirate the hell out of any textbooks you need for school. Whereas fiction is typically priced accordingly based on a writer's skill and genre, textbooks are ALWAYS overpriced for what they are.

And talk about examples of 'planned obsolescence', depending on what field a textbook is centered on, some textbooks only have lifespans of a year if not SIX MONTHS.

And it's not like how, with a fictional book or memoir, you can resell them and the person buying them gets the initial worth of the book. With textbooks it's a literal gamble on whether you'll be able to resell since, again, by the time your underclassmen are taking your class, the book may be outdated and, ten to an even, a professor won't be lenient on them using an older edition.

And then the topic of keeping a textbook for reference. Well the information is constantly being outdated so, again, you're FUCKED.

Not to mention how, with my recent semester of grad school, I've been made privy to the fact that even some DIGITAL EDITIONS of textbooks (you know, the options most professors point out as a means to SAVE money but still have convenience of easy reference) have started running on SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE PLANS.

'Thanks for giving us money so you can have a digital textbook for class! Get ready to lose access to it in three months!'

Not to mention that a lot of textbooks' content is just bloat for the sake of the textbook writers flexing their egos. It's like those recipe websites where you just want to learn how to make cinnamon rolls out of leftover mashed potatoes but you have to scroll past a three-page anti-porn diatribe because the writer's daughters stumbled upon some smut because they didn't have Child Safety Settings on their computer.

So, in the case of a predatory industry like textbooks? I am all for piracy. If this lawsuit was focused primarily on textbook publishers being upset that someone's offering easier, more affordable options then I would say that the publishers can go fuck themselves. But with fiction and creative work, there's more nuance where such piracy could be seen as wrong.

UPDATE (6/14/20)

I just read through a detailed post explaining how the Internet Archive works which does include them implementing DRM to prevent copying/reselling. So, while I still stand to my points regarding book piracy being reprehensible (aside from the glutton that is the college textbook industry), this case really is that of certain scummy Publishers trying to stranglehold any venues of reading that they can’t get their hands on directly.
