also omg i love your outfits! i’m also trying to grow my cute/kawaii and cosplay clothes to wear when going out, mostly so i could stand out in a crowd in cupsleeve events. i don’t usually wear those things!

one thing i really wanna try and pull off is the aliyahcore outfits. definitely one thing i’d do after surgery is to wear crop tops but i really love how the outfits makes you look kinda like a y2k video game character (idk if this is cringe to say or not lol) such as imvu or second life. i especially love the hello kitty outfits- (totally obsessed with sanrio stuff)

my favourite character has to be my melody and cinnamoroll. my favourite cinna sibling has to definitely be no other than mocha. that is so damn obvious- i’m pretty sure every black/dark skinned sanrio obsessed person one they get to know about mocha would probably add her to their pfps because that’s the closest we may get to a official black sanrio character. she’s not really black, and i obviously understand why they picked mocha to be the way she is, but i just love her design to be dark skinned and has pink flowers instead of orange just because it “suits the complexion.” like- she describes me so well- and her birthday is 12 days after mine omgggggggggg

anywho- as you can see i REALLY love sanrio stuff- i even got my sister to go to artbox (a shop in london that sells sanrio, bt21 and other iconic kawaii toys such as pusheen) to buy me my christmas present and she got me a my melody blanket and a hello kitty calendar. i purposely didn’t tell her which character to give me as i wanted her to see the shop for herself. they literally have items in sections that it was so aesthetically pleasing, but i guess i didn’t think it through because it was almost empty (it was dec 24th) in which she had to ask someone who worked there for help, but she got it in the end. is it just me or learning about the story of how they purchased your presents are much more interesting than the item itself? like if you don’t tell me that you had to run into the store at 6am, push other customers, shove them to a nearby clothes rack, fought another customer over the last item, slamming them on the ground, paid to the cashier before realising you went over budget, paid the rest with the only cash you had, nearly ran over somebody because they tried to break into your car, just to be able to give me my present, i would most likely struggle to seem appreciative even though i am, but not sure how to express that. is it just me?

Aww, Thank you. I love aliyahcore it's like 2000s fashion with rave elements. It's so cute. And over the top I love over the top fashion. My goal with styling is to have who I am inside shown through with how I look on the outside. Like what you see is exactly what you get. Like when I dressed "sexier" it didn't feel like me I looked cute but it felt like a costume. So definitely go for it when you're ready to. That is so true I love mocha she's so cute and when I first saw her I was like "me!!!" I'm such a Sanrio girly and so is my best friend us giving each other gifts is just us giving each other sanrio merchandise. I have so much sanrio stuff mainly my melody and a few little twin stars things. if little twin stars was easy to find id have more. Those are my fave Sanrio characters. But that's such a cute story for how your sister got your Christmas gift and I think it just adds more excitement and adventure to the gift. But I love "It reminded me of you" or "I thought of you" gifts like you were thinking about little ol me?! it makes me so happy. It could literally be a pink piece glass for 50 cents and I would cherish it forever cause it reminded someone of me. And that sounds like such a cute shop, thank you for address and directions. Experience/how long (months/years?): uhhhhh I dunno man. longer than a decade. It seems unimportant to me idk

Platforms you’ve used: mmmm imvu, dA, facebook, twitter/tweetdeck, here, a couple of homebrew forums, wire, kik, a little bit of discord stuff but I don't like writing long form stuff there it feels weird

Best experience: ...hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. They've all had positives and negatives in a lot of very exaggerated ways. It would be really hard for me to say any one 'phase' of my rping has been better or worse? Like the one I might pick, because it gave me a couple of really good friends I've had for a long time, is also the one where I had a handful of really big falling outs and some really nasty bullying take place, too, y'know? In general I think my 'bests' are all finding my way to people I really like knowing, and my worsts almost always come down to 'there was someone who intentionally misunderstood me and was unkind' but that has happened.... basically in every place I've rp'd. All of them have bests and worsts, I will be copping out in this fashion, yes.

RP pet peeves / dealbreakers: I think all of my rp pet peeves are also like, internet 'culture' pet peeves? and mostly culminates in like... genuinely and with every intended kindness, get out of your house more & learn conflict resolution. My dealbreakers -other than like, hateful behavior- mostly circle around communication and like... dismissive behavior. People who count themselves out and then get upset because they counted out and/or people who repeatedly put down or trivialize the things other people find meaning in. I'm not going to keep reassuring or comforting you, or compromising for you, when it's clear those things have no value to you and I'm not being met at the effort, because that's wildly unfair and I also simply refuse. The communication thing goes back to that I need it to be possible, and I need it to be a mutual effort. If I don't feel like it's possible I'll just move on, and if I feel like it's been repeatedly obstructed or dismissed entirely, I'll block and then move on. Both of them really it's like... You have to try, too.

Fluff, angst, or smut: I actually end up with a lot of... philosophy? and slice of life. Conversations, really, that explore a character's thinking. I think that's more of where my focus tends to sit than any particular genre? I'm more into looking how and why and the consequences of things that happen between characters than them happening just because, if that makes sense? Fluff, angst, whatever, I like figuring out how it got there and what they're going to do about it. Sidenote I always find it interesting "action" isn't a presented option with memes like this, I've know of groups etc. based entirely around action and fighting it's weird how that seems to have mostly died out? (At least on tumblr anyway.)

Plots or memes: ...pppplots? In the sense of I like having a general vibe or starting place to put context to things, but that can 100% come from like three or four words of "I thought they might x" and then we can just roll along and see what sticks, you know? I like to plot vibes more than specific situations+outcomes- generally if I try to plot like, threads?, I end up feeling like we already talked through the series of events and the threading isn't as rewarding? Whereas plotting the relationship or general vibes then lets us have the idea of what we're doing and all the little details get to come out while we're running and that's the fun rewarding part you know? "What if they met here" > "what if they specifically did this thing and had this reaction" basically. Also though if you are like me and don't always like to talk first I love to take something and run you can give me no context and I'll wing it that's fine too ♥ Character vibes can absolutely grow organically and then the plotting becomes retroactive it's so funny, 10/10

Long or short replies: Maybe kind of middle? Too short with threads makes them...tedious almost? They feel a little going-through-the-motions and don't really leave room for the exploring I like to do, y'know? And too long gets a little unwieldy. Oh you know what: flexibility in replies. I vastly prefer feeling like I can let them change and vary- sometimes the same thread can get a five paragraph reply, sometimes only one, y'know? And I think the idea of length matching is ..a bit performative. It, like a lot of other adopted rp niceties tbh, started in a good place but usually only ends up putting unnecessary pressure on people.

Best time to write: It used to be early morning and that's probably still true but mostly it's just like, whenever I can find the space and motivation for it.

Are you like your muse(s): There are a couple on the multi who are decidedly more Me-adjacent, to varying degrees of intentionally being like me. If my inner teen strongly identified with Luke Patterson that's my business! Henry doesn't strike me as particularly like me, but there are many things we would/do agree on, I think. Personalities and methods of operation and energy levels quite different but philosophies alike in a fair number of ways.

Identity and Video Games

By now it is safe to assume that most people understand the value of video games given its primary use of escapism. With this day and age where various different problems would arise left and right, it goes without saying that we are faced in rough times of stress and need some sort of outlet. That would be where games come in and their many variations to what we prefer and enjoy. With my previous blogs, it has been shown how games have been brought up with modern times and how current society has been going through a gradually change with their acceptance of difference genders and beliefs, but more often than not there are people who still feel repressed by the will of others and have no opportunities to actually express who or what they wish to be. That reason alone is why some players tend to drift towards certain role playing games that offer a sort of character creation, where they are able to fully create a character that symbolizes the type of person they want to be physically. With that reasoning in mind, certain developers have gotten the idea to create games with a more idealistic outlook on their own reality. To be more specific, in those games, the player can choose what kind of person they want to appear as in order to communicate with one another in a virtual life. In games like those, there are people who are able to express themselves as a different gender online for a more realistic experience. Part of the reason why it works so well is based on the fact that they can keep their real identities a secret from other people. One specific game that could be an example of this is called IMVU. IMVU is a type of mobile and online game that allows people to customize their character however they want themselves to appear online, and then they can connect and talk to one another like a form of social media. With games like those, there has been a common occurrence of oppressed and transgender men making female avatars of how they want to be seen by other people, and oppressed females making male avatars for how they want to be seen. That way they have no fear of being identified or "outed" by their real life peers and can feel free to create their ideal image and to feel like they have a certain degree of control over their life. Not to mention that it allows them to behave in any way they choose to without being self conscious for how they appear nor with any fear of being judged by their online peers. In addition, there is a type of console called Virtual Reality Headset, or VR Headset for short, that is especially used for those types of games. For these specific types of gamers, that kind of platform offers them a more realistic first-person point of view experience that leaves them very obsessed. On different social media sites, there have been many memes and comments about those types of games the more popular they became, ultimately turning into a controversy due to the input of negative people. These people are well aware of the intent of certain gamers with how they want to be identified differently online in contrast to real life, and so out of their own twisted entertainment those people like to call them out on that sensitive fact to insult and isolate them. Personally, I don't really have an opinion on those types of gamers, as they are allowed to play any games they please for any personal intention that they have. That being said, I can't stand those types of people that purposefully go around stomping on that type of personal insensitivity as if they think it is some kind of twisted joke. At this point, people shouldn't have any right to judge the actions or intentions of others, because their business is their own and that should be respected. As gamers, we are a part of a community that accepts and respects one another because real life conflicts and controversy have no place in games. That fact alone should make it a safe community where people are free to play as whatever or whoever they wish, regardless of gender, sexuality, or otherwise.

October Prompts — 5. Lip Gallagher ; Shameless

Prompt: ‘ halloween is the perfect day to hide a body in plain sight. ❜

A/N: first time ever writing for lip Gallagher. I had my ups and downs with shameless as a show (along with many) and have yet to finish the final season. It took me awhile to get into his lane but I’m here! I think it was season 6 or 7 or 8? Somewhere around there that got me here lol plus some edits! Here’s a little something since his character’s been on my mind so this is my attempt at writing him lol.

You came back to Chicago from Indianapolis simply on impulse. It was something you commonly did, acted on impulse and just dipped despite the fact that you already made plans with your friends for Halloween. However you hoped right on a train (a week ago) and made yourself at home at Lip’s instead of your cousin Veronica’s house. You loved Amy and Jemma but you could only deal with one kid at a time so you chose Lip and Freddie for as long as they would have you.

Of course Veronica started to give you a piece of her mind but you quickly told her you’d break up your time between the two houses as best as you could. Currently you were in the kitchen mumbling to yourself as you bounced freddie on your hip, throwing last minute ingredients into a pot as the front door opened. You had Rico Nasty blasting as your phone buzzed and Lip made an appearance from work.

“…what’s going on in here?” Lip asked as he made his way into the kitchen, taking freddie from your hold.

You stirred the food before placing the lid on it, “remember that old hookup I had my third day out here?”

“No? Remind me.” Lip replied as he cooed up at Freddie in the air, who gave his dad a smile full of two teeth and a gargle.

Shifting you leaned against the counter after picking your phone back up to show Lip the post of your hookup, “this Darius guy. A total space cadet but carried great conversation, unless we were both tripping off the shrooms?”

“I thought you said you didn’t do that shit anymore?”

“I thought so too, shame me later. We have a bigger issue here.” You fanned your hand while Lip briefly walked out of the kitchen to place Freddie back in his baby swing.

Lip walked back into the kitchen to grab some Gatorade from the fridge and asked, “tell me what the problem is this time.”

“He posted me on his story without my consent.”

Lip halted from taking a sip and asked, “what do you mean, like nude?”

“Oh no just in my bra” You quickly waved your fingers and Lip let out a low exhale as he took a drink, “we ended up sleeping in the woods after the movie screening because they locked us in the park and we couldn’t find any other exit and I guess after he laid it down, which he really really did…he felt the need to post about how I kept singing this song and how I’m basically a undercover witch trying to steal his soul.”

Lip screwed the top back onto his juice and wiped at his nose, a smirk on his lips as he then said, “what song were you singing that convinced him that you wanted to do a seance?”

“I can’t tell by the video it was muffled.” You glanced upwards to think about it, “Maybe Nina Simone? Maybe Diana Ross? Fuck, it could have been that bitch I used to listen to back on my IMVU and MySpace days.”

Lip shrugged, “so basically it could have been anything with your wired brain and if you amplify that on shrooms?” He let out a low whistle, “who knows? Are you really that worried?”

You had turned back to the pot stirring the stew before you whipped your head back over to your friend of many many years, “I have fans Philip, I can’t have some asshole running his mouth about me…unless he’s telling people how fantastic of a lover I am.”

“I could easily tell them that.” Lip winked at you while you huffed digging you fists into your hips.

Yes you and Lip had a thing for a bit, after things ended with Amanda and Helene. It wasn’t the right time to get wrapped up in between Lip Gallagher’s legs but he needed someone and you were one of his closest friends. You were there through it all and you hated seeing Lip succumb to the hereditary disease. It was when Lip was at his complete lowest and you entertained him sexually. That was a whole mess in itself but you don’t regret those intimate moments with Lip, it was a long time coming and it only took x amount of years for it to happen. Unfortunately it didn’t last because you couldn’t heal his issues, it wasn’t your job and you were able to keep your friendship although it was extremely hard in the beginning.

“Yeah, you want to want to make a onlyfans with the gamer here?” You suggested as Lip scratched at his brow in thought.

“Lip!” You called out to the round blue eyed man who laughed shamelessly in response.

“What? The extra cash wouldn’t hurt this single dad out ya know?”

You waltzed over to Lip holding out a spoon to him, “taste this, and if you need extra bands you could always let me know, you know that.”

It was the south side pride. You never liked to ask each other for shit because everyone had it hard and found someway to scrap up enough money to get by. Since the gentrification hit the streets of the south side, things only differed. Which is one of the main reasons you got the hell out of dodge. It’s been a couple of years now but it seemed like things were better for Lip at the shop and Tammi didn’t ask for child support so his only focus was Freddie and the house.

Lip let the flavors soak up on his pallet and even went as far to lick his thumb, “you get better every time, y/n.”

“That’s what I like to hear!” You spun back over to the stove to turn the pot off, “get the plates ready.”

Lip moved around after watching you for a bit, grabbing two plastic bowls before he asked, “You fed Freddie already?”

“Of course, now the man of the house needs a nap so he’s ready for our big night.” You moved back to the baby who was still full of smiles as he watched some cartoon on a near by tablet.

Picking up the chunky toddler you pressed your forehead to his, cooing at him as Lip placed the plates on the small table where Freddie’s tablet sat.

“What’s tonight?” Lip was confused.

You gasped, “it’s Halloween lip, c’mon get it together! Freddie’s with us tonight since Tammi has the night off, she’s apparently heading into the city with her new boyfriend…so we have to set a plan into motion.”

Lip’s mind was wandering as you disappeared to put Freddie down for a nap. He took the plates to serve the both of you some stew over rice and string beans before setting them back on the table. When you entered back into the dining area, your silk robe floating behind you with each step you took, you went to the fridge to grab the bottle of sparkling cider you bought earlier today.

“I hope you’re not planning for us to spy on Tammi and her boyfriend.”

You fanned your hand at lip as you took a swing from the bottle before sliding it over to the dirty blond, “please, I don’t give a shit what that girl does. She’s not in my life, this is about me.”

“Of course it is,” Lip chuckled as he also took a swing from the bottle the fizz sitting well into his belly, “what crazy scheme are you involving myself and my son in tonight?”

“Which is my god-son…secretly.” You mentioned which made lip smile, “halloween is the perfect day to hide a body in plain sight.”

Lip halted his chewing as you were all smiles as you shoved rice into your mouth happily, “you’re planning on killing this dude…over posting you singing whatever song post-sex?”

“I never said kill,” you widened your eyes, “but if it comes to that—

Lip scoffed out a laugh, “Jesus Christ, y/n! Do you want me to talk to him? Straighten this whole thing out?”

It was your turn to scrunch up your nose, “ew, Philip. What are we teenagers again? I don’t need you to speak for me, I just need you there for support while I do what I need to do, rough him up a bit and hide ‘em in the bushes.”

Lip looked at you, really looked at you in this moment. He’s known you since forever and this wasn’t the first time you came up with some crazy ass scheme, he’s had some insane times with you around but definitely memorable so he wasn’t sure why this was coming as a surprise.

“Question, are you fuckin’ high right now? Be honest.”

You flicked your eyes up to the man who sat across from you and sighed, “Lip, I’m your best if not bestest friend in the whole wide world! You’re a recovering alcoholic, do you honestly think I would bring any type of substance around you along with a child in the house? Give me some credit here…plus all of my shit is at Kev and V’s.”

Lip sat back in his chair, which creaked underneath the weight and he genuinely laughed holding his hands out in defeat, “alright then, fine. What time do we leave?”

You squealed getting up to hop into Lip’s lap giving him a tight squeeze. Lip let out a cough as he was swallowing just as you squeezed the life out of his neck and you pulled back unaware. You stared into his eyes for a moment before placing kisses all over his face and ending with a quick peck to his lips.

“I love you, Lip Gallagher. You won’t regret tonight, I promise.”

Lip shook his head at your theatrics and always thought you’d be a good actor but you chose the world of gaming instead.

“Yeah, yeah. If you do decide to kill the guy give me a fair warning so I can get Freddie out of the way? Don’t need him suffering any trauma by my hands, alright?” Lip warned you, peering up into your eyes to let you know he was serious.

You gripped his face pressing your forehead to his, something you commonly did with the people you cared about.

“Wouldn’t dream of it, he’s basically mine too. I love that little guy, maybe more than your ass.”

Lip couldn’t be mad at that.

Imagine being wrong and then blocking someone...

Imagine the gal of replying to a post someone makes calling you on your shit and then blocking them. Oh honey, class act!

Let's talk about your "excuses" for using ad*fly and why they won't hold water:

1) Being a poor student does not give you the right to risk people's safety. Period. As a student, you should know how important a laptop or desktop is for getting schoolwork and other "work" done. So why risk the laptops and desktops of OTHER people just so you can get the 0.05 cents per click you'd make from ad*fly? If you want some proof of how AD^FLY is dangerous, why don't you do some looking into the following blogs: HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE

2) The argument of "It's always worked for me, so it must apply to everyone" is so fucking dangerous I can't even begin to explain. This would be like saying "Oh, since my natural immunity has protected me so long against COVID-19, it must also work for everyone else too!" This is the sort of logic that leads to people dying. 3) You honestly want to act as though patreon is scummy? Like, early access isn't a thing. And yes, I'm not a fan of permapaywall builders either and I have talked about that (HERE) but there ARE some builders who are early access. {Case in point?@beansbuilds,@gawdlysims ,@sierrathesimmer} Why can't you do patreon early access? Surely you'd make more off your sets from that than the 0.5 cents you'd make from ad*fly. Or even better, do a donation link like a ko-fi or some other form of donation where people can choose to support you? 4) Also the "ways to avoid ad.fly" aren't always as easy to install or figure out as some people would hope. For example, Universal Bypass, which I have, involves having a file directory somewhere on your computer at all times. If you accidentally delete the program directory "poof" the "extension" is gone. And unlike other programs, since it's basically an unoffical chrome extension, you have to install that directory yourself. Which may not be as easy for some who aren't tech savvy. Now I'm here talking about this as if you'll actually see this (which you probably won't since you blocked me, unless one of your friends/followers screenshots it!) but you really need to work on having a decent reason for being such a jerk. Because all of your excuses don't hold water. Here's the thing that pisses me off in general about creators who paywall in the sims 4 community. They act as is their bad/shitty circumstances give them the excuse to treat other people like shit. Having issues paying the bills? Permapaywall stuff so people can't access your stuff unless you pay. A student who can't get a student job? Put everything behind ad$fly and risk giving people viruses. Living in a country that's in an economic downturn? Time to rip meshes other people made from secondlife/imvu and sell them as sims 4 cc, damn the original creator. Meanwhile, I know so many other wonderful sims 4 creators who are going through just as bad circumstances who are CHOOSING to not treat the community like shit. @anachrosims has mounting vet bills and a dying laptop, yet she's not putting her CC behind ad*fly. @oswanily has had to open up comissions due to monetary concerns, yet she's still not permapaywalling her CC. I could go on and ON about simmers who have had to ask for the kindness of other players to help make ends meet who DIDN'T treat the community like crap to do so. It's the whole "I'm miserable so I need to make everyone else pay for my misery" for me. The fact that your situation means you CHOOSE to treat a community badly, steal, or put people's safety at risk instead of choosing other, ETHICAL ways to deal with your situation pisses me off. Those with the strongest character are those who refuse to hurt others when they are hurting, or in tough situations. There are resources, and kind and giving people who will help you out without having to paywall to get their assistance. Really showing the class here Novvas, oh and by the way, who wants to bet the reason tumblr nuked your first account was because you posted your ad*fly links on there?

one · wack your boss. I remember when this gaming series was popular, it was literally so damn hilarious, and it's oddly enjoyable to just beat the fuck out of your boss.

two · facade. these two idiots would definitely crack up over the fact that grace and trent are so sensitive, and that grace gets flustered easily. paul would definitely make it his job to get kicked out easily by trent, too.

three · any sort of gmod horror. marko would just have a blast solving the dumbass puzzles, and paul would love breaking the game and finding out the cheat codes.

four · slendytubbies. marko and paul would giggle like two fools whenever one of them is the monster, and the other is the helpless teletubby running for its life.

five · pokémon go. I feel like paul would risk getting ran over if that meant catching every pokémon nearby. marko would get a kick out of giving each one dumb, yet creative names.

six · subway surfers. these two would be competitive as fuck trying to one-up each other on who can get a higher score.

seven · who's your daddy. paul would make it his entire life meaning to chase the baby ( marko ) around, and attempt to put him in the oven, while marko continuously tries to kill grandma ( paul ) as much as possible.

eight · goat simulator. this doesn't even need an explanation, they just enjoy dumb shit.

nine · gta five. they'd have helicopter races, enjoy harassing people, and paul would literally throw marko out of his vehicle at any given chance.

ten · the maze. I feel like paul would laugh his ass off at marko trying so hard not to touch the sides of the blue box, so he wouldn't get jump scared.

eleven · imvu. they'd honestly just compete with who could dress their character better, and would harass random people in the chatrooms until they got kicked.

twelve · happy wheels. marko would love the thrill of over coming the challenges and paul would just crack up at the characters getting severely fucked up.

The one disappointing thing about drifting from the Lucifer fandom to The Sandman...

I am a Lucifer show fan who accidentally got obsessed with Sandman when reading The Sandman to research the Lucifer show character’s origin back in 2017.

And since that drift over, I have to say only one thing truly disappoints me about the Lucifer show’s fan base. ...How few Lucifer show fans want to give The Sandman comics a fair chance.

It’s like they’re either discouraged because they’re told The Sandman is very different from the show and so they dismiss it by taking that as code to mean “It’s bad.” or they act like there’s some sort of invisible rivalry between the upcoming Netflix adaptation of The Sandman and the Lucifer TV series.

There’s even the very stupid rumor that The Sandman is why the show Lucifer is ending. That rumor existed back when Lucifer was canceled the first time, by Fox, at the end of season three, by the way. Somehow (this was before the Netflix Sandman show was even announced) a rumor had started that an upcoming adaptation of The Sandman was why Lucifer was being canceled and so the majority of the “Save Lucifer” Facebook groups got flooded with “BOYCOTT THE SANDMAN!!!” sort of messages.

There are Lucifer show fans who genuinely don’t know that the story where Lucifer quits ruling Hell, and he and Mazikeen both go to Earth, where he opens Lux, and takes up piano, is in The Sandman comics. Some of them know there are Lucifer comics by Mike Carey but don’t know that Lucifer is a spin-off of The Sandman by Neil Gaiman and that the story where Lucifer quits Hell is in The Sandman.

I have nothing against these fans. They just haven’t done the research but there are others that actively and aggressively avoid The Sandman like it’s some sacred duty or like The Sandman is their enemy.

Some even act disgusted by The Sandman because they have this misconception of comic books being lowbrow. When I was in one of those Save Lucifer Facebook groups I remember being very annoyed by someone who kept calling The Sandman comics a “comic strip.” A comic “strip” is specifically a row of comic panels in a newspaper. A very different thing entirely. And even one person saying “Lucifer show fans would NEVER like the comics. It’s far too different of an audience.” But... that’s how I fell in love with The Sandman, because I had liked The Lucifer TV show and then read The Sandman comics...

In 2017 I had been asked to play Lucifer for a DC comics Role Playing game on IMVU and was only familiar with the show. But I did know that he originated in Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman and that was where I’d find the story where he quits ruling Hell. I learned he quits ruling Hell in the fourth volume of The Sandman but I figured if I started there I might be confused so I started at the beginning. The Sandman: Preludes and Nocturnes. To my surprise it felt like a Gothic fantasy story or old Gothic Horror novel, at least in the first two issues (chapters if you’re listening to the audible audio drama version). It did not feel like a comic.

And by the time I got to issue 4 of The Sandman, “A hope in Hell” where we first meet Lucifer of this continuity, I realized I was hooked and reading something truly special. I realized I cared more about the story’s protagonist at this point than I did about finding out comic Lucifer’s backstory.

I’ll confess when I first read The Sandman I fully anticipated skimming the drawn outfight scenes or explosions because I find those boring, only to be very surprised that those... don’t exist in The Sandman at all. Morpheus never even throws a punch.

The Sandman is not taking away Lucifer, nor is it in direct competition with Lucifer. Resenting it and avoiding it does no good. The Sandman is what gave you the version of Lucifer that you love so much. It is not your enemy.

Remember those conversations with Linda and later Amenadiel where Lucifer talks about how he doesn’t buy souls, and how there are masochists in Hell who only go there because deep down inside they feel they deserve it and they’re just giving them the punishment they want? That’s all dialogue originally from The Sandman, from a conversation between Lucifer and Morpheus when Lucifer was explaining why he was shutting down Hell.

Another example of how some Lucifer show fans have reacted negatively to The Sandman is in one of those Save Lucifer groups, back when season three had just ended on Fox, I recall one person even saying “I like the angel of Death on Lucifer better than the one from The Sandman because Goths are mean, jaded, cynical, and cold. I like our friendly, nerdy, Azriel, the Angel of Death, a lot more than some bitch Goth.” And I was like “...You didn’t even try to read The Sandman, did you? You just saw a picture of the character somewhere and jumped to conclusions by appearances.”

Death in The Sandman is a perky Goth girl who loves and quotes Mary Poppins. She tries to be friendly with everyone. She’s just as (if not more) friendly as Azriel from the Lucifer TV show. The biggest difference (besides her Goth fashion) is she says “Be seeing you.” instead of that “Smell ya later” they gave her in the Lucifer show. She even helped save the domestic relationship of a lesbian rock singer she liked. She likes Disney films and happy endings. She has pet goldfish. And she hits her younger brother with a loaf of bread when he’s being annoying. She’s generally supposed to be seen as sweet. Being a Goth doesn’t make you a bad person or “mean’ by default. I was a bit taken aback someone had said something like that.

The Lucifer show fans who have gone out of their way to avoid The Sandman or make up excuses to not read it are doing themselves a disservice. They’re also missing out on a glorious opportunity to ship Lucifer and Dream (AKA Morpheus)...

TL:DR: Lucifer show fans need to stop making excuses to avoid The Sandman or resenting it (even on a subconscious level) and need to give The Sandman a fair chance.

So, I’ve been having a hard time recently and decided I need a stress free project to comfort myself with. So I decided to do another redesign of my OG fursona from high school, Pearl:

I loved Pearl. I even made a few pages of a comic for her and painted them digitally for a class. With a mouse. In a pre Adobe build of flash. Unfortunately, all that remains of that are the title page I made for it above and some pencil sketches.

I even made her my online identity, telling people on places like IMVU and Gaia Online that my name was Pearl. I would post pics of my avatars, but I can no longer access those accounts so RIP to me I guess.

I had already done a redesign of her in 2019 to show my progress as an artist:

And it’s like, idk, it’s okay. I think this is a decent redesign of her as I wanted to draw her back then. But, I wasn’t satisfied. So, I began my project this year by redesigning her again:

Decided it would be fun to not only show off some of my new chops as an artist, but to age up the character to the age that she would be now. So, she’s gone from age 16 (when I last drew her) to 28. She graduated college with a Master’s in Science Fiction studies. She’s living in an apartment in the city just trying to get by working in retail. She even managed to get Tail Feminization Surgery, so her transition’s coming along great.

But that’s not all, because I remembered: There were other main characters in her comic, and I needed to draw them too. Especially:

Sasha (formerly Seepha, idk I didn’t like the name so I changed it. No offense to anyone actually named Seepha) was Pearl’s best friend in high school, and is now her loving wife. Pearl and her are in a punk band together and share an apartment. Sasha is also an activist and food service worker. She struggled with her body image when she was young, struggling with anorexia, but now she’s proud of her natural fatness and curves.

Next was Pearl’s family as depicted in this other comic sketch (god I really with I had been able to save those completed pages):

First was Pearl’s older sister:

Rai was not only Pearl’s older sister, but helped raise her and their youngest sibling. Despite raising her sisters after the loss of their parents in her mid 20′s, Rai managed to graduate college with a law degree and now works as a criminal defense lawyer, doing her best to fight for the rights of people who might not otherwise be able to afford most lawyers. She still lives in her childhood home in her hometown of Poké Oaks with her youngest sibling. Rai has also realized that she doesn’t need sexual or romantic relationships to make her happy and lives a contented single life.

Now Pearl’s younger sibling:

Elissa (I don’t think I need to justify changing her name from Pi. And, just to be clear, it was pronounced Pee, not Pie. So, yeah... no) has just recently started college and trying to decide what they want to do with their life while exploring their gender identity and sexuality. Elissa remains carefree and upbeat with many friends and a love for excitement!

This was just the comfy kind of project that I needed to help me through a tough time in my life. I’ve also realized that I still have a lot of love for these silly anthro Pokémon/ Final Fantasy creature OCs that I made as a teenager, also going through one of the toughest times in my life. I think there’s a lot to be said for just making things that make you happy and not caring what others will think.

This has been a good send off to characters that I love and cherish and I might end up posting more art of them. Maybe photo from Pearl and Sasha’s wedding. Rai graduating from college. Elissa studying late at night with some friends. A family reunion.

Even if I never get around to those, I’m glad I’ve gotten to share these with y’all and I look forward to creating more art in the future :3

The mobile mmo sphere has been SO lacking for numerous reasons recently. It’s plagued with low effort reuse of assets. Like there are so many of them that use the exact same art, models, and even systems all together as other mobile mmos. I was into Tales of Wind, a cool action mmo with a cute art style and even a feature where you could run a farm and a shop and craft things with your crops and animals and even get married (I like marriage systems because I have a bf and it’s usually cute). But then I got bored and went looking for another and came across a couple that were the EXACT same game under a different name. And I’ve seen way too many of them (always anime styled) advertise that you can find your soulmate while playing. I’m not gonna rag on online relationships, I’m in a long distance one myself, but I would never wanna meet and date someone from an anime mobile game. Consistently these players have been weird and awful. I’m talking slurs in the chat, sexualizing the youngest looking character they can find. That’s why I turn that shit off.

And aside from that, there’s horrid microtransactions that result in players who throw hundreds even thousands at these games, completely dominating the servers and fucking up the game in terms of player interaction such as pvp, guilds, and player markets. Also some of them riding on nostalgia and the popularity of old school mmos and advertising themselves as a “sequel” to them (then also being reused assets sksksk). And I don’t mind idle/auto play but I would rather it be an option and the game not be completely modeled around me never wanting to actually play the game. And even those games have bad microtransactions that unless you cave in, you’d be leaving the game on auto/idle for up to a week+ just to make progress depending on how deep you get into it.

That being said, I found this one game that looks like it had a loooot of effort put into it. It’s called Dragon Raja and while it does have those usual growth systems I don’t really like in mobile mmos, I’m not surprised and was willing to still give it a go. It looks like it was advertised as anime second life with fast paced combat and it kind of is. The combat is really good and the dungeons and boss fights have mechanics akin to Final Fantasy XIV, which is another game I really love. The story is pretty entertaining, though the voice acting needs work and does not match the subtitles at times. They say way more than what’s being shown or say something else entirely and that throws me off. The game looks gorgeous, but I hate how everyone looks like IMVU dolls. Nothing wrong with looking pretty (my character is gorgeous), but they’re all so pale and even if you max out the body meters, you’re still pretty skinny. Just a lil wide. And I only saw one other player who was actually brown, no brown NPCs. But while the game could use some fine tuning, it’s pretty damn fun with really unique classes like skateboarder, which is a tank class. I love tanking! And I can’t wait to buy and customize a house with my bf. Also I just think the game would be way better on PC. It looks like it was made for PC.

Mercy is living with her Twin in San Francisco. Mercy is a Sensitive,playful girl that has a need to be Accepted but is not very Determined to change others minds. Mercy Dresses in Sexy Urban clothes,likes Dancing, Singing, Rap and Rock Music and is good at Entertaining people. She dislikes Strict ppl,Running and Classical Music.she watches 20/20 and the only thing she reads are Motorcycle Magazines and Cheat Sheets for Video Games. her favorite Games are APB Reloaded and Grand theft Auto. Mercy is seeing a Counselor, surprisingly Mercy has no Tattoos. Mercy's favorite Food is Chicken and her Favorite Drink is Pepsi. She has a Blue Pitbull Named Chance. Her Favorite Colors are Pink and Black.

Myself Behind the dolls; my name is Decklynn but people call me Dk or Deck. I am an Agender with He and Him pronouns. I am a little with a caregiver/ daddy and I am a pet owner of 3 Kitties. I do both makeup and Doll art. I am a twenty something year old adult who’s been into crafting and customizing Dolls since I was a child. I am also an artist and got interested in drawing at a young age so I already had the type of skill to Draw on things and recreate facial hair and all types of stuff like this. I went to collage and majored in art while living at home with my parents who were Both Transphobic and Homophobic but also Abuse I’ve endured since a young age, physical, mental ive developed a great deal of mental health problems That even now I am being diagnosed and treated for. With an alcoholic parent and upon my mental health problems and living in a terrible environment that was life long I left home and left school and started my own life with my fiancé One day my fiancé was online and seen Big dolls that looked realistic and those dolls I was so fascinated by. I have never seen anything like them and to make a big 3D version of my ocs and crafting just sound like a dream come true. So I did it! I bought my very first BJD 600$ and I never regretted that. I wanted this one because I just fell Inlove with him. I know you’re thinking 600$!? That’s crazy but it literally is worth every penny when you put your heart and soul into a project it’s like your favorite anime character but you create them and you style them, that’s the best way I think I can put it.drawing on them is not as easy as other may think, you can be a phenomenal artist but still lack the skill to paint on them so it took me years to build the skill I have now. I’ve taken a big break from them and left my old account behind to start a fresh and new one in 2020 till a month ago that’s when I decided to join Tiktok. Do you sell your dolls? No I do not they’re my babies and I put a lot of work into their characters and I am emotionally attached to each of them. I have sold some that I didn’t bond well with.

What do you use to paint on them? I use acrylic paint, soft pastels, water color pencils, graphite, acrylic gloss and sealer. Doll eyelashes, little craft hoops and balls for piercings and craft tiny beads for jewlary. I use yarn sometimes for their hair but other times I purchase their hair online. Sometimes I draw them tattoos and sometimes I use Temp tattoos.

Do you do commissions? I do commissions for people who need work done to their own BJDs like faceups, hair or blush and nail art. I don’t buy dolls to work on to sell but in the future I’d like to do that. It’s an expensive hobby so get your pockets ready. My faceups are 60$ but for something really advanced it will be 80$ plus shipping charges. Nail art is 5$, blush is 10$ wigs are 25$ I’ve had people ask if they could buy the doll send them to my address instead of their home, I work on them and then send them to that person but you have to remember there is money involved and I mean lots of it so if you’re buying a 300$ doll via through me to a website you have to be willing to also pay me for putting this doll together which we can talk about via email the price. What are the dolls made out of ?

Resin. I know there are vinyl bJDs out there but mine are just made out of resin~ 🍭🤍

So if you don’t sell your dolls, where do I get one ?? On BJD websites but be aware of scams or Recasts also which are usually cheaper and too good to be true prices. I’ve had my fair share in mistakes with this in the beginning after my first Doll. Do lots of research on YouTube to learn more. Recasts are heavily looked down upon in the hobby and people tend to stay away from and not talk about them because they are a problem to the hobby and create damage by taking an artists work and selling them for much cheaper. You will not get head plates or certificate or authenticity cards or an original Box. They tend to be much smaller then an originalwitj seam lines and sometimes they’re easy to spot so just save your coins and go legit, Support the artists. I do not bully people but others will. Some official Bjd cheap websites are thejunkyspot, Angel of dream, mystic kids, migidoll, Alicecollections, bobobie, withdoll, littleRebel, littlemonica, supiadoll and crobidolls and so many more just do some research y’all find them. If you have that type of money or want to save then check, Hummingdolly, dollshe, Soom, Doll chateau, dream valley, Iplehouse, Dikadoll, iOS (immortality of soul) distantmemory (the BTS dolls are from here I know a lot of you like BTS I am a Kpopper myself lol) and there’s just so so much more just type Bjd websites and y’all find a ton~ I just kinda remembered these at the top of my head. Lol 🐮💕

So where do you get clothes and accessories from?! Some are from EBay, Etsy, Amazon. Some are form people on IG who sell first come first served or little shops that don’t have a big name or anything that I just run into who happen to be selling what I want or need for a doll. I don’t make my own eyes but others do I get mine either commissioned or on the websites I just stated. Some stuff are handmade like wigs and clothing I do sometimes make those. You just have to know the size of your doll and their eye measurements and head measurements. 💗🐮

💜🍼Prince and his paci? The girl who sold them I bought two and she stopped selling them I’m currently looking myself for some Bigger doll pacis.

💕How big are your dolls? They’re as big as a toddler but much thinner. Some 3 feet and some a bit smaller but they’re large dolls sometimes people don’t realize that 🐮🤍 you can by a variety of diff sizes like MSD (1/4 30cm ranges) SD (1/3 60-75 cm range) SD uncle 80+ and Yosd (smaller 20cm or smaller range) I might be a little off but it’s because I only purchase the bigger ones I don’t have much interest in smaller currently.

Someone is making my dolls currently clothes from their clothing line and I am so excited for this!!
