okay so this is lowkey for my sanity as well since i read stories that change my life then suddenly forget how tf to spell the author’s tumblr username and bam it’s gone forever.

fics you need to read alternatively titled fics i wish i could wipe from my memory just to read again

i. @jimlingss : LOVE SO SHALLOW

i genuinely love this story so so much, it’s just beyond me. i wrote about my obsession for it all here but to sum up, it has such nice underlying ideas and the way the relationship develops is so perfect. i read this story on multiple occasions, still not sick of it.

ii. @hobios : ONE THING RIGHT

recently read this, i’m just swooning over the portrayal of jk as this cop + he’s whipped for oc which kills me. i love the way the two interact and come to terms with their relationship despite the past. i’m so sad it’s over, wish i could read more about these two.

iii. @joonbird : COMFORT INN ENDING

yes i read angst for fun, that’s a thing. i don’t remember much from my first time reading this like 2 years ago except crying in my room so bad and just unable to cope. such a perfect and realistic story about cheating + how it affects relationships. i think about this story from time to time, it really left such a mark on me.

iv. @cutaepatootie : ANIMAL

the style of story-telling is so gripping and the relationship is rocky but yet you can’t look away, it’s so enjoyable to read. albeit, it’s not the happiest fic in the world, it’s still so interesting to read about these two people who came into each other’s lives for a period of time and fell in love despite it not being the best thing to do.

v. @kookingtae : FALLING INTO YOU

when i’m not busy reading things that make me cry for fun, i’ll read fluff and this is my favoriteee fluff on this site. nerd jk + having a crush for the first time, is so satisfying and fun to read. i love the dynamic of the couple and the way each interaction develops. i can’t wait to see more of it.

vi. @jjkfire : TRY ME

by far my fav nj fluff, i was legit swoooooning. you know that feeling of butterflies you get when a character in a story says something so flirty, yeah that’s just the only way to describe this story. joon is so damn attractive and flirty, man i can’t contain myself. i need to read more of it to keep my sanity intact.

vii. LOVE WILL ALWAYS BE A LESSON (LET’S GET OUT OF ITS WAY)

i barely barely barely read on ao3 so that’s why you know this fic is one that genuinely took over part of my heart so much so that it’s ending up on this list. psa, i cried reading this too but it’s just so beautifully written and the sequencing of events is perfectly done, i couldn’t help myself. my heart is hurting even thinking about the story. the way it takes us through the years of jungkook’s life and career... all the opportunities and love, rosie style “we just missed each other”... please, just do yourselves a favor and read this. you have no idea how lucky you are to read this for the first time.

viii. HOUSE OF CARDS

this is kind of basic since everyyyone and their mom knows this fic, but the reason i’m putting it on this list is to make a point. if i, the person who’s the most squeamish towards any gruesome descriptions, ate this entire fic up and loved it - it can probs please anyone. the writing is good, the story is gripping and amazing, i’m honestly surprised how this has the quality of published novels or a movie.

in response to your question about 1518 strasbourg, this is when and where the dancing plague of 1518 happened dnsbsbshja. it's where the phrase "dance till you die" originated lmao. i think it'd be funny to witness this/take part in it. aside from that, id probably fuck with california in 1849 because the gold rush🧎‍♀️, france in the 1880s, or america in the 1980/1990s! i’m a history nerd courtesy of my father, so i choose all my time periods based off some of my favorite historical events! 1880s for architecture mostly, gold rush because lawlessness and the "wild west", and the 80s for the cold war :)

the night is beautiful if you take the time to live it. for me, my favorite time across the board is lunch time-12:00 ish to 3:00 just because the sun is highest and i feel happiest! i like the night when i go out on bike rides because i feel alive/ like i’m not wasting my teen years

and yes the night is so beautiful when u just give it ur attention. like, on my birthday it was raining and i didn’t have school the next day (and my birthdays i’m may so it was pretty warm) so i just went outside at like, midnight ish and listened to the rain and crocheted and it was truly so nice 😫 also omg last year when covid had us all at home i went for a bike ride almost every day after school to just get out of my room and it was so nice!! it was my bike from when i was like, 12 but i’m 4’11 so i was still able to ride it without a problem lsnsksns

and yes pets r absolutely siblings, my cat prob acts more like s typical sibling than my two younger siblings do lsnsksns (srsly tho my cat is an asshole she fucked up my leg the other day cuz i gave her food late smh)

-yes i do have siblings! two younger (one four and a half years younger and one a little over nine years younger than me so i’m the oldest by quite a bit lol) and i do have a pet! my cat sweetie who is an asshole who i love very much

-i took piano for like a year in second grade but then third grade happened and i was rlly bad at math so my parents switched from paying for piano lessons to paying for math tutoring lessons and i now remember literally nothing from piano lessons sksnksns

-i,,, dont think i have a favorite font? i do like to write in cursive and have a collection of calligraphy pens that i bust out on special occasions so there’s that i guess lol

-ok i have two normal pillows, one chair/armrest/pillow thing (idk if that makes sense but that’s the only way i know how to describe it sksnksns), a body pillow, and a single stuffed bear that live on my bed

-ooo so this is difficult for me cuz i technically live in a suburb but we’re *right next* to a major city in my state (like i’m a 20ish min car ride from my states baseball stadium and a 20 min walk to the college of the major city) so this has kinda made me rlly like both? like, i like the quiet of the suburbs but i cant handle not being able to walk to the closest boba shop or movie theatre or bookshop but i also don’t rlly love the noise and lights that there are in the city at night. so idk sksnksns

Harry woke up the next morning to an empty bed and a note from you, he yawned and clumsily grabbed the note, rubbing his eyes as he read your hurried scrawl.

Harry smiled softly and fell back onto the bed, yawning once more and rolling over, hugging your pillow to his chest.

You sighed, pulling your hair into a ponytail, smirking as you caught your reflection in the mirror.

(y/n), the war chief of the lost revenge, the one who took care of Captain Hook. You wore your long red coat, the ripped grey shirt, ripped black pants, scuffed boots, fingerless gloves, skull studded belt, and your multiple rings.

You took your sheath and swung it over your head, setting on your (non-dominant) shoulder and sliding your cutlass into the sheath.

“alright” you muttered with a smirk, flipping your hat onto your head. “les do this”

You felt your lip twitch as you stared down at the disgusting gang of older men. All talking smack about harry.

Uma tapped her fingers on her arm, staring ahead as she listens to the bloodcurdling screams of the gang.

You walked out 10 minutes later, scraping the blood off your sword on the wall. “thanks for the assist captain” you smiled at her, she grinned back and snapped her fingers. The blood disappearing from your clothes and skin.

“no prob, no one talks about harry that way” you laughed and fist-bumped her.

“true that!”

“come on, I need to check up on other things” you nodded and dutifully followed her, sheathing your sword and glancing around, smiling as you saw flowers and natural grass beginning to grow around you.

“seems the isle is becoming healthy” you spoke up, grinning as Uma nodded.

“yep, its finally getting sun and rain for the first time in 22 years” Uma was proud, knowing she was apart of the reason that it was happening.

Ben appeared around the corner, his face pale and his hands clenching onto his phone. “did you hear the screams?!”

You and Uma glanced at each other quickly before nodding “yeah, it was just one of the bands here playing one of those horror movies screams with their music”

Ben scrunched his face up confused “bands wha-?”

You chucked and patted his shoulder as you walked past him “you still have much to learn about the isles way young padawon~” Uma smirked and followed you.

“there's a couple of bands here, but they’re notoriously bad” she laughed, gesturing for Ben to follow the two of you.

“oh….alright but they sounded pretty real” Ben muttered nervously, glancing behind him to the warehouse where you had found the gang.

“they usually do” you laughed, walking into the tunnel connecting the warf to the main Isle.

You sighed, smiling as the rotting fish smell had long since disappeared and was replaced with the saltwater of the ocean.

“captain, (y/n)!” the crew yelled, most of them chilling on the rails while the others were having a sword fight.

Bonnie leaned back, grinning widely, pointing her thumb at the deck “Gonzo and Desiree are fighting who you bettin’ on!”

“DESIREE!” you yelled back, walking down the deck and up the gangplank “20 bucks!” Desiree grinned, spinning away from gonzo.

“won't steer ya wrong chief!” she cheered, parrying another attack from gonzo, he pouted and kept trying to get a solid strike on her, but she was small and fast, so it was hard.

Uma grinned “go Desiree!” gonzo turned to look at Uma quickly, a horrified look on his face.

“capt’in!?! But- ah!” Desiree flipped him on his back and stood on his chest, grinning down at him.

“I win~”

The ones who bet on Desiree cheered, you hollered and cackled as Bonnie chucked a wad of $20 at you. “thank you~” you cooed, stuffing it in your pocket.

Just enough to get Harry some cold stone!

When you arrived back in your world, Harry was still asleep, so you took off your hat and sheath and walked out to your car, humming to the Hamilton soundtrack as you drove to Coldstone.

Arriving at the ice cream shop you hopped out of your car and walked in, smiling as there was no line.

“Hello! I'll have a gotta have it birthday cake remix and a love it (fav thing at cold stone)” the worker smiled and nodded, getting to work on your order.

“I love your outfit by the way!” they complimented you, scoping out the cake batter ice cream.

“thank you! I like your headscarf!” she blushed and thanked you, asking you if the ice cream was to go “yep, thank you”

She capped the ice cream and started on yours.

You walked out of the shop minutes later and unlocked your car, placing the bag in the passenger seat and driving back home.

You unlocked the front door and smiled as you saw harry sitting on the couch, watching the last Jedi.

“liking it so far?” Harry jumped slightly, breathing a sigh of relief as he realized it was just you.

“aye, I like the kylo r-……uhhh” Harry's jaw dropped as he caught sight of you, it had been so long since he had seen you in all your pirate gear.

You laughed and did a little spin “you like? Felt appropriate for what I had to do in Auradon.”

“u-um” he coughed into his hands, shifting in his seat slightly “y-yeah, looks good on yeh” you mentally did a fist pump as you could tell he was a little hot and bothered.

“thank you~ I got ice cream by the way!” harry perked up, making grabby hands at the bag he finally noticed.

“thank you thank you now gimmie!” you snorted and opened the back, handing him the large cup of ice cream.

“your welcome, don’t get it on the couch.”

You plopped next to him and (sipped ate) at your dessert, grinning as harry muttered that he wanted a lightsaber.

Now you knew what to get him for his birthday~

hhhh-ewwwo? I did say I wanted to chat and I desperately do not want to do work or studies so buckle in for a long post (derogatory). 22. role model? Oh man, I don’t think I have any, like, specific ones for entire things, though I do fall in my hero-worship phaes and then fall out of them like everyone else. I think that taking an entire person and being like I wanna be like them is... not for me though. But I do look up to some people for specific things - I look up to, weirdly enough, Abigail Phylosohpytube who I didn’t watch before her coming out for her graceful coming out video though she admits that the experience wasn’t obviously as smooth. I look up to lots and lots of people for their ability to create and their art (not gonna tag my fav artists bc am tiny and do not want people to look at me, but i do be reblogging). I look up to people like ConcernedApe Stardewvalley and Supergiantgames Hades for their ability to put so much soul in their work, smth I aspire to do. I look up to @not-poignant for, among other things, their idk how to say it best, wisdom in understanding and communicating with others and with myself? I’ve learned a lot by just sort of being in their periphery and seeing how they articulate their thoughts and choose to be kind and witness other’s pain. Hell, I look up to twitch streamers and youtubers sometimes (the recent nice trait I’d like to have if I ever went into bigger content production is how ibxtoycat deals with parasocial relationship realities). 23. strange habits? I think my insistence on misspelling words in a way I think is lowkey funny might be one, I say thamks bc it feels softer, or thank bc it’s funny, I say sleeb, I say finkers or tryink or otherwise replace g with k for lulz. I also don’t know if it counts as a habit but I have a small leather band around my wrist that’s been there for a year soon. 58. four talents you’re proud of having? Oh shid. Hm. 1) My ability to analyze data and understand the basic building blocks of something. Here we go, Harry Pottter OC time!

Name: Grace Peters

Nickname: Gracie (only her grandmother on her dad’s side and her cousin call her this)

Gender: Female (I’m sure you hadn’t guessed this)

Appearance: pale skin (“I don’t tan, I burn.”), hazel eyes, lighter brown hair, round glasses.

Hair is usually in one of six styles; low bun, two braids, lowish ponytail, single braid, straighten, or natural.

Obviously she wears her uniform, probs with pants not a skirt. Her normal not uniform style is sweaters, t-shirts, flannels, sweatshirts (her grandma, as previously mentioned, got her a Yellowstone one and that’s her fav) and jeans. Maybe leggings.

Personality: has a bit of a temper, sarcasm, sarcasm everywhere, a bit bossy but she means well, can comfort the heck out of someone if required. Will get her assignments in on time, does her homework like immediately after she’s finished her classes for the day.

Flaw(s): temper, bossiness, too studious sometimes

House: Ravenclaw (same year as Oliver Wood)

Pet: Western screech owl named Oscar(he’s kinda obnoxious. Her brother is prone to calling him a pest)

Backstory: Her dad’s parents divorced when he was young and her dad, grandpa and aunt moved to rural England. Her grandma still lives in the US and is regularly visited by her magical grandkids. Her dad was a muggleborn and attended Hogwarts.

Her mother’s parents come from a pair of respectable pure-blood families. Her mother’s older brother married a pure-blood witch and had one kid, who’s Grace’s age, Grace’s cousin and practically best friend, Catherine Schaub(Grace calls her Catie). Her mother’s younger sister married a pure blood wizard, though they don’t have any kids.

Her parents met at Hogwarts in 7th year and eventually got married. Grace and her younger brother, Finn, who is in Harry’s year, are considered blood traitors by their mother’s family, except for Catie, and their mother’s younger sister.

Role: Grace would be mentioned/seen around in the first few books/movies. She has a small friend group, consisting of my friends’ OC’s. I’m not gonna put them here, but they’re nearly inseparable. Catie plays Quidditch for Slytherin, but has a fierce hate for Malfloy. She can frequently be found chilling in the Ravenclaw common room with her cousin and friends.

When she is made captain however, it starts a fierce rivalry between her and Oliver Wood. This becomes a bit of a plot point. She doesn’t do anything exciting until in their seventh year, she and Wood go to shake hands on the pitch and she snogs him in front of the whole school. Her friends and Catie are cheering her on because she’s had a crush on Wood since 6th year. Finn is confused and a bit grossed out(he’s a third year, who can blame him).

She and Wood start dating, and remain dating after they leave Hogwarts. She attends the world cup with him. She becomes an Auror trainee, but has to leave the ministry when things go to heck.

During Order of the Phoenix, there’s a whole arc thingy where she and Catie end up confronting their own family (for Grace, her aunt and uncle, for Catie, her parents). It’s dramatic and her aunt almost kills Catie at some point.

She, Catie and a couple of her friends join the OotP when it forms.

Finn becomes a beater for the Gryffindor team when Fred and George got kicked off.

A month before the battle of Hogwarts, Oliver proposes to her and she accepts. (Yay!)

She participates in the battle of Hogwarts.

After Series: she becomes a full fledged Auror, and regularly attends Oliver’s Puddlemere matches. They get married a couple months after the war ends.

There’s this raid she goes on, since she becomes an Auror again, and she almost dies. She has this realization that she’s basically starting a family and she doesn’t want to be constantly putting herself in danger. So, she resigns as an Auror and ends up becoming the assistant manger of Flourish and Blotts,

I want them to have kids, but I’m not really sure how many (three at most, but at least two). I do know that the oldest would be named Winston and that he’d be a Hufflepuff and a nerd, maybe play Quidditch...

CRASH - I promise no race talk

First, let me say that this particular post will be a safe space. No race talk here. Today, we're going to talk a lil "Crash".

This movie came out in 2005; I hadn’t watched it since then. I remembered really liking it. I remembered Ludacris and Larenz Tate stealing the movie as a comedy duo.

I remembered these two ladies:

(Jennifer Esposito - not the best picture of her, and perhaps that’s partly my fault. She is pissed in this scene... probably because the person whom she is talking to is not me :)

and Bahar Soomekh

(Wait, that’s “Saw 3... hmm... she was in “Saw 3″ btw.)

Let me try again -

You get the idea. These two ladies! Yes!

I remembered watching this movie with my then girlfriend, and thinking to myself "As soon as this movie is over, I'm breaking up with her and seeking these two out, to propose to the both of them - this is my destiny."

I remembered something about Saint Christopher, who is apparently the patron saint of travelers.

He was kinda like an Uber driver (I guess... and by the looks of this depiction, a grumpy Uber driver). He will get you safely to where you'd like to be, as long as you listen to his smooth jazz, questionable philosophies on life, and of course allow him to flirt a lil with you.

Oh, and I remembered Luda getting his ass beat by the dude from "Empire"

- no, not that dude.

This dude - (Terrence Howard).

I believe that anyone who tries to explain what this movie is about will end up sounding like they've had one too many to drink:

"It's about a bunch of people of different races/ethnicities who... have racist stuff happen to them. And they don't know each other, but they're kinda connected... and there's a crash... although it doesn't have much to do with the story... but it kinda does... maybe? Ludacris is in it. He gets his ass beat by that guy from "Empire", but not that guy... the other guy. Racism sucks, bro."

Trying to explain it is similar to how we'll (years from now) try to explain 2020... or Trump being president.

Let's me try to break it down:

Don Cheadle is Detective Graham Waters (what a name).

He deals with a lot of race stuff on the job and in cases. Race stuff that I'm sparing you from today (you're welcome:) Annnnd he's banging one of the women whom I thought would be my future wife.

The first time that we meet HER (another detective), we learn that she's pretty racist.

Side note: Can one be both pretty AND racist? Does the racism overwhelm the pretty face? or vice versa? Would some of us see Trump as being racist, if he looked like Chris Hemsworth?

(and always gave press conferences shirtless)

So, Terrence Howard and Thandie Newton have a racist and perverted encounter with the cops.

The more I think about it, the more I blame most of the horrible events that take place in this movie on these two cops (and their superiors). Had they worked by better standards, a lot of the bad things that end up happening in this movie wouldn't have happened. Terrence and Thandie have some race stuff going on within their relationship as well (which I won't be talking about :) Brown people also have race fights; whitey doesn't always have to be involved.

I talked about Luda and Tate already. They're kinda like hipsters in a sense (in spirit). They have a racial commentary/banter throughout the whole movie. They're right about the things that they say (which I'm still not talking about). The prob is that they're also criminals.

Sandra Bullock (who's prob the most racist character in the movie) and Brendan Fraser are also doing their thing in this movie.

They're your stereotypical wealthy white couple. Fraser's character is in politics. There's some juicy race stuff there as well. We'll just ignore all of that.

Tony Danza is surprisingly in this just to be racist. Now, TD is before my time, but I remember him being loveable - no?? That's what makes it weird. Kinda like if Stephen Colbert swung through a movie briefly just to drop an N-bomb or something.

Michael Pena is here, because... he's on the short list of Latinos that Hollywood knows.

I think this movie was his big shot (which he killed). Look him, he’s acting his ass off. His mouth opened so wide... that’s acting! He's also the only character in this movie who's NOT an asshole. He's actually a good guy. Even in the midst of people being very openly racist towards him, he remains calm and collected. He has a daughter who is scared, and so he gives her an invisible cloak that has a supernatural, imaginary ability to make her invulnerable. She then puts it on and immediately runs into traffic... and you know... BOOM!

I'm joking. But, that could have happened. Parents, don't lie to your children.

There's a scene where she does face some danger as a result of this lie. Spoiler alert, she makes it. Maybe it was the power of Saint Chris. Though she appears to be the only one that he saves in this flick. Seems like every time the good ol saint Christopher appears, someone pulls out a gun. Patron Saint of Gun Violence.

Fun fact: Michael Pena is also a scientologist. See, they're not all like T.Cruise - don't be so prejudice:)

Watch, there's going to be a story about some awful scientology weirdness on Pena’s part, the second I post this.

That's uh... not a great summary of the plot. It's an awful summary, actually. If you look up the summary on wikipedia, it pretty much does the same thing I did - just talk through the people involved in this picture.

This movie is like a game of 52 pickup - only the game is played with a deck of race cards.

If you're a person who doesn't think much about race issues, but is open to hearing about them, then this movie will possibly be enlightening for you.

If you're the type of person who has been actively avoiding race talk (and who typically avoids deep talks like that) Then, this def isn't the movie for you.

If you are racist, and somehow keep reading my posts... Imma pray for you, cuz this movie beating you over the head with race is only going to fuel you're... "special, hateful beliefs".

As for me... this time around I was indifferent towards this movie. I can see why I adored this movie back in the day. I enjoy deep talks about this kind of stuff, and we (me and my circle of peeps) prob weren't talking much about these kind of topics, openly, in the early/mid 2000's. But, as a movie... meh.

There is a touching moment when there is a literal crash

CRASH!

There's real humanity. Two characters come face to face with mortality, and all of the bullshit is pushed aside in efforts to secure rescue. But, then, after that moment, we go right back to the bullshit. Nothing really changes. The movie notices that they missed a few race cards, and continue on with their game.

I remember tearing up the first time that I watched this movie. I don't know whether my girlfriend and I were fighting that may have caused those tears. Or maybe her breath was stanky with onions (while trying to make-out with me in the theatre) that brought me to fight some tears. Or maybe 15 years later, I've become a heartless SOB, but outside of that crash scene, the only time I was moved was when Sandra Bullock fell down some stairs.

It still makes me laugh. That's my fav part of the movie for sure. I wish that they had ended the movie there.

She's spread out at the bottom of the steps. And then a silent roll of the credits. It would have made just as much sense as the actual ending. She DOES however end up being ok, and less racist, as a result... somehow.

So, if any of you know someone who's super racist ("coughtrump") and notice that they're near some steps... do your part. We'll end racism one flight of stairs at a time.

In the end, this movie is about diverse groups of one dimensional assholes, who complain about everything (even the rich, white people... cuz we all know how hard their lives are), and through sappy music and a lack of learning from some contrived moments, make little progress towards peace.

Totally unrealistic. In real life, we get shit done!

Grade: A/D/A

A for the race talk (which hopefully I was successful in not talking about:)

D for... just about everything else...

his mother died from breast cancer when he was ten. they moved to new york and that’s where boi spent another ten years of his life, basically.

anyway, that one year changed his mind quite a bit, made the dude care so much less about stuff like education.

still, decided to apply to a fuckin ivy league, because why not? “dude, what if i went to uni in, like, arizona or some shit? *snickers*” - that’s what happened.

after like a year of trying to get back into the gear, majoring in criminal psychology, he decided he really doesn’t give a fucking shit anymore, okay? he just wants to be a rocker, goddamn it!

but no, he’s getting by. not putting all the effort in the world into his assignments and stuff, but he does enough to keep himself in the game. is on the verge of dropping out tho like every three seconds.

personality-wise ?? bit of an asshole, but a lot of it is just cause he seems all rough round the edges, u kno?? all in all, he’s not a bad dude, he just tends to do shit things lmao. has been arrested a couple of times, but not for anything major, major. tends to go heavy on drugs and alcohol, but he feels like he’s mostly got it all in order. knows how to take care of himself, though it doesn’t necessarily always look like it.

Love seeing him get that recognition! But yeah, the age is def off, like I cant remember how old they said he was in the show, maybe 16? but too young for red hood in live action form. Like its hard cause in reality 16 year olds and 19 year old boys typically don't look too different, for the most part, while comics you can get get away with it more. Huh, yeah, it doesn't seem like Talia is gonna happen, maybe just maybe a cameo or something? Cause we also weren't expecting joker but here we are(tho it almost looks like he wont be a big plot point/even see him much, it almost looks like it is just showing how brutal gotham is? But like its just the trailer and doesnt always give the full picture so who knows!)

Omg YES about Gotham! I 1000% agree! Im also biased cause its what got me into batman, again like exactly a year ago! It got me into the world like no other media of dc had before!(well, Shazam did, i guess tech thats the start of my interest in dc/first time i read the comics, but gotham is what really got me into this spiral). I hate how much hate it gets, like yeah its not perfect and they took creative liberties obviously, but i 100% agree that its the best adoption of DC yet! 100%! Its so nice to see the characters and rogues fleshed out more. I feel like it successfully did what Nolan tried to do in terms of making it dark and realistic, but in a way that was more accurate and true to the comics! I wish it wasn’t canceled so early and thus the last season had to be so rushed :(

thats smart, i typically dont look for spoilers and stuff anymore but I just got so hyper focused that I had to look at least what the stars were putting out on social media, but yeah, i use to get so caught up in all that that it took the fun out of seeing it live.

Oh my gosh, that would seriously be the PERFECT end to batman and joker story in this universe omg. Amen about all that! And like it would hopefully show Jason how much he cares? So maybe Bruce would kill him after red hood emerges? It will be interesting to see hat causes Jason to be so dang pissed in this version.

ahaha yes riddler is my fav! (my header gave it away didn’t it xD) I love most Riddlers but ESPECIALLY gotham riddler, Ed is like one of my fav character of all time. Oooh, I don’t know central city rogues all that well(well, way more than Metropolis rogues, I know so little about superman world), like I know some from the first 3 and a half seasons of the flash (I watched a couple years ago but got busy with school and couldn’t keep up and just never caught up/didnt have motivation to finish(plus i forgot so much id have to rewatch everything again), but I saw they finally just introduced Bart Allen, so I have have to randomly jump back in for a bit cause Bart is one of my favsss), and the ones in the cartoons and stuff

Ha! true, i dont mind it when its for character development or if I happen to be super into the ship(like Nygmakins in Gotham omg, I know they are super unpopular but they are like one of my OTPs omg), I feel like it has to be balanced right/not too much focus on the drama of the relationship over everything else. Like a minor subplot is good but don’t make it the focus of the show. And yeah , supergirl never appealed to me cause of that reason! i like drama and not JUST action (I like psychological drama, as long as there is comfort to follow xD) but yea i get what u mean by too much relationship focus . I think, for the most part, Gotham did that pretty well.
