Ya’ll I used to jokingly consider this, but nah, there is enough evidence in the book to suggest:

Henry ruins Dorian out of spite and jealousy towards Basil for moving on from him.

Let’s get right into this.

I went back into the book because I wanted to review the post I made about Henry and misogyny earlier. Besides the usual annoyance at Henry’s dumb stupid rant, I noticed this line:

“I had buried my romance in a bed of asphodel.”

And then it hit me that Henry’s worst rants about women only come after the topic of marriage, but more specifically, commitment. Which then led to an even more interesting idea: I’m pretty sure Henry mostly uses ‘women’ as cover to complain about Basil and Basil’s ‘lack of commitment to him.’

I want to note that there’s a lot of interesting things in regards to Henry and his relationship with women that I’d love to go into, but this will focus solely on him and Basil.

Here’s what Henry says in his misogynistic ass rant after Sibyl dies. (This is from the 1891 ver):

“But [Sibyl] would have soon found out that you were absolutely indifferent to her. And when a woman finds that out about her husband, she either becomes dreadfully dowdy, or wears very smart bonnets that some other woman’s husband has to pay for.”

Basil is often considered ‘unfashionable’/‘dowdy’ by Henry’s standards. This is only further proven in what he says about Basil’s disappearance:

“Why should he have been murdered? He was not clever enough to have enemies. Of course, he had a wonderful genius for painting. But a man can paint like Velasquez and yet be as dull as possible. Basil was really rather dull. He only interested me once, and that was when he told me, years ago, that he had a wild adoration for you and that you were the dominant motive of his art.”

But that isn’t all. The last part of that quote matches one to one to Henry’s claim about women (or Sibyl, specifically). Basil was not only ‘dull’, but his only ‘fashionable’ attribute, his art, grew ‘dowdy’ once he discovered Dorian’s indifference to him.

Henry also says this about women:

“Good resolutions are useless attempts to interfere with scientific laws. Their origin is pure vanity. Their result is absolutely nil.”

And later:

“But women never know when the curtain has fallen. They always want a sixth act, and as soon as the interest of the play is entirely over, they propose to continue it. If they were allowed their own way, every comedy would have a tragic ending, and every tragedy would culminate in a farce. They are charmingly artificial, but they have no sense of art.”

Guess who makes resolutions regarding goodness? Basil, who refuses to believe that Dorian is nothing but a good, pure man.

“[Basil] could not bear the idea of reproaching [Dorian] any more. After all, his indifference was probably merely a mood that would pass away. There was so much in him that was good, so much in him that was noble.”

Basil’s arc traditionally should have ended once Dorian rejects him. Between that chapter and the chapter where Basil dies, there is no mention of Basil in any form. By all means, Basil’s role in the story is over—and then he demands the ‘sixth act’ to confront Dorian.

And finally:

“Besides, nothing makes one so vain as being told that one is a sinner. Conscience makes egotists of us all. Yes; there is really no end to the consolations that women find in modern life. Indeed, I have not mentioned the most important one.”

“What is that, Harry?” said the lad listlessly.

“Oh, the obvious consolation. Taking some one else’s admirer when one loses one’s own.”

Now before I point out the obvious irony of Henry literally 'taking someone else's admirer' (henry actually has a lot in common with his 'criticisms' of women), I want to bring your attention to a key part we don’t discuss enough about in the book.

““Life has always poppies in her hands. Of course, now and then things linger. I once wore nothing but violets all through one season, as a form of artistic mourning for a romance that would not die. Ultimately, however, it did die. I forget what killed it. I think it was her proposing to sacrifice the whole world for me. That is always a dreadful moment. It fills one with the terror of eternity. Well—would you believe it?—a week ago, at Lady Hampshire’s, I found myself seated at dinner next the lady in question, and she insisted on going over the whole thing again, and digging up the past, and raking up the future. I had buried my romance in a bed of asphodel.”

So I’m gonna make an educated guess and say Henry is lying his ass off here. He did not have a ‘romance’ with a woman. He certainly did not get an emotional, romantic attachment with a ‘woman’. I feel comfortable saying this because 1) his general distaste for women literally points to this being bullshit and 2) a significant change that was made from the 1890 version of the book to the 1891 version.

This is the quote in 1890:

“I once wore nothing but violets all through one season, as mourning for a romance that would not die.”

This is 1891:

“I once wore nothing but violets all through one season, as a form of artistic mourning for a romance that would not die.”

Well, well, well, who is the arti—It’s Basil. He’s literally talking about Basil here. AND GUESS WHAT VIOLETS MEAN IN VICTORIAN FLOWER LANGUAGE?

A couple of things actually, but the top three are:

‘Faithfulness, Modesty, and Love.’

Henry emotionally had been faithful to Basil. While I doubt he was monogamous in anyway, Basil held a special place that no else would ever have. Not even Dorian.

And this brings me back to the quote that originally sent me down this rabbit hole:

“I had buried my romance in a bed of asphodel.”

In the 1890 version, it says:

“I had buried my romance in a bed of poppies.”

Poppies are known to mean death and would have fit perfectly if Henry was saying he felt nothing for the relationship, but what does asphodel mean?

‘Love Beyond The Grave’, ‘Remembered Beyond The Tomb’ and sometimes, ‘My regrets follow you to the grave’.

(NOTE: please keep in mind floriography could mean certain things based on the color and the type of flowers. That being said, considering Wilde described the shit out of every setting he wrote, the lack of detail about the flowers suggest the most broad meaning is meant to be taken.)

Henry isn't over Basil. He couldn't kill the love, so he buried it and took Dorian as a consolation and revenge. He will never be able to get over Basil until Basil or himself dies.

Taylor Swift pulls her songwriting primarily from her own life, but not exclusively from it. She has written fictional songs, fully separate from herself, her entire career. Let's pull a quick, off-the-top-of-my-head sample:

And that's not counting ones where she spun a fictional tale out of her own immediate experience, like Love Story (her parents didn't want her to be with a guy, but the story she tells never happened), The Lucky One (the Joni Mitchell -to-Taylor Swift pipeline), Mine (an imagined future based off an early interaction), etc.

So why does the fandom as a whole seem to completely reject her assertion that large swaths of folklore and evermore are fully fictional stories and characters that she made up? That's what writers do. Certainly not every song is made up. Certainly with several of them we can look back with hindsight and take a guess as to why she was drawn to particular characters and tropes and stories at that point in her life. But the willingness to suggest the she is just blatantly lying about her songwriting process, the thing she holds most sacred, just baffles me.

Examining SVSSS Canon: 1/∞

SHEN YUAN'S PIDW-READING TIMELINE

One question and argument that comes up frequently in SVSSS fandom is, how long did Shen Yuan read PIDW for? Was he following it from early serialization, or did he simply binge everything toward the end?

This question isn't exactly one that is easy to answer either-- considering that there are actually various direct quotes that could be read in contradiction to one another regarding it.

Based on the information in the novel, we are left with several potential theories as to Shen Yuan's reading timeline. In this post, I will be presenting these theories, along with supporting evidence from the novel.

Theory #1: Shen Yuan picked up PIDW and binge-read it from beginning to end for the first time in 20 days before dying

This theory is directly supported with a quote:

He’d spent twenty days binging the novel from start to finish, so he had clean forgotten that whump-filled arc of pointless abuse that covered Luo Binghe’s beginnings at the sect, okay?! (7 Seas, Ch. 1)

In the original text, this line is 他可是看了二十天才看完的. Broken down, this is literally "he indeed read it (他可是看了), it took him twenty days (二十天才）to read the whole [novel] (看完的)."

*note 可是 may also be equivalent to "however" or "but" in some circumstances, but is generally used to provide emphasis.

However, depending on where one puts the emphasis and pairs syllables in the last part, there could be different interpretations. If read as 看完的 it implies "read the entire thing," but if read as 看完的，it implies "finished reading." I read it the first way, but I don't know if that is the "most correct," so there is some ambiguity there.

It is also implied later that PIDW was already very long and full of plot holes when he began reading it:

So, if back when he’d just opened this baffling book, this Proud Immortal Demon Way, which was so full of landmines that it was practically high art, to the point that those landmines had become its very style... He would definitely have grabbed the brick that was the entire fifty-volume set and showed them what their brains looked like when splattered across the ground. (7 Seas, Ch. 21)

Though this could be related to the final length of the novel, and the "fifty-volume set" is likely exaggeration or metaphor. In one of his forum posts, he also says:

I understand what OP is feeling. I’ve been reading this novel lately, and it’s so damn long—long and pumped full of filler... ...All my fellow readers have already roasted the setting for the last three hundred thousand words, so I won’t say more on that. (7 Seas, Ch. 26)

This part where he says he has been reading the novel lately, implies that he began not too long ago, rather than following it for years. Of course, Airplane already at this point finds his username and comments familiar:

His eyes automatically highlighted that familiar ID “Peerless Cucumber.” (7 Seas, Ch. 26)

So it could also be said that he is downplaying his dedication with that statement. He does, however, state that the other readers have roasted the setting, but doesn't mention that he himself has done so. Additionally, the "three-hundred thousand words" mentioned may refer to the comment section, not the novel itself, so there is still some ambiguity to that point.

Theory #2: Shen Yuan has been reading PIDW long-term throughout serialization

There are multiple quotes directly supporting this theory:

He could guarantee it on all the youth and frustrations he’d wasted following this twenty-million-word-plus serialization for years. (7 Seas, Ch. 6)

and

Everything that had happened before was as unto smoke. From today forth, as he walked the jianghu, he would use this ID, which had been plastered all over the comments section for years. (7 Seas, Ch. 9)

The second quote may refer to comments sections on Zhongdian literature in general, but the first one is more directly referring to PIDW. There is a slim but unlikely possibility that he referrs to the years he has spent within the PIDW universe, rather than just reading the novel. That possibility is made even less likely by the following quote:

Next, let a veteran reader of this novel, Shen Yuan, omit the countless fanservice-y details and concisely summarize the million-word epic for everyone… (7 Seas, Ch. 1)

Where it refers to him as a veteran reader of PIDW specifically (and this TL is consistent with the original implications). It's unlikely for him to be referred to as a veteran reader if he had only been reading the novel for twenty days.

As one can see, if you go by either of the above theories, there are direct conflicts and contradictions, and arguments to be made either way. This could be written off as inconsistency. However, there are two additional options and theories which can resolve those conflicts.

Theory #3: Shen Yuan had been a casual reader of PIDW for years, but rushed to finish reading it through to the end in 20 days

One possibility is that Shen Yuan had been reading PIDW casually over several years, but wasn't caught up by the time his death drew near. Shen Yuan's cause of death is a matter for another post, so I won't discuss it here, but the following quote lends some support to this reading:

“Dumbfuck author, dumbfuck novel!” With his dying breath, Shen Yuan spat this final curse. Who could have imagined that an upstanding young man like him—who had properly purchased the website’s VIP currency and read the novel’s official version—would find himself persevering before his untimely death to finish a novel so stallion, so money-grubbing and overly padded, that it left him speechless with rage? How could he not curse? (7 Seas, Ch. 1)

Here, it seems that Shen Yuan may have been aware of his upcoming death, and so he may have wanted to hurry and finish reading the novel before he died. In the original text, the phrase is: 临终之前坚持看完的, which can be broken down as "before his untimely/sudden death (临终之前), he persisted to finish reading [the novel] (坚持看完的）, though this may also be read as "he persisted in reading the entire novel," depending on how one puts emphasis in the sentence (same issue as the first quote in theory 1). 临终 means literally "near the end," but is a term for death or one's deathbed. Another way to translate 临终之前 would be "before meeting his end."

So, because he was persisting/persevering in finishing the novel (either the whole thing or just to the end), it may be that he expected his incoming death, or that he simply wished to persist in reading the novel to its end and his death still occured unexpectedly.

坚持 implies some level of urgency or steadfastness, but it may not refer to reading the novel quickly, but simply dedication to slogging through all of the bad porn and reading it to the end, rendering this theory a bit shaky.

Theory #4: Shen Yuan had been reading PIDW since early serialization, but re-read the entire thing in the 20 days before his death

This theory would resolve all potential conflicts-- making it true that he both followed PIDW's serialization for years and read the whole novel in 20 days. As to why he re-read the full novel, perhaps it was because the final chapter had been posted or was coming up, and he wished to reread from the start in preparation for that-- this could also drive him into an even greater rage about the contents of the novel and how repetitive and filler-heavy it is, as this would become more and more obvious on a binge-reread from start to end.

One weakness in this theory, though (pointed out by @verycharismaticdragon) is that if he read it twice, it would be less likely for him to completely forget details as mentioned in the first quote. Not entirely impossible-- one can still forget details even after multiple read-throughs, but just less likely to completely forget.

Theory #5: When Shen Yuan began reading PIDW, he binged all available chapters in twenty days, before following it consistently afterwards.

While this would not be particularly likely if the quote from theory 1 and the quote from theory 3 were linked together, those two quotes don't necessarily have to be linked-- it's possible that Shen Yuan would have binged the entire novel as it was at the time he found it in twenty days, then decided to continue reading as it updated, persisting and persevering because he wanted to reach the end despite the novel's trashiness, and then ended up dying.

Particularly, this makes a lot of sense in the context of the following quote:

Even though this famous Lord Cucumber spewed criticism constantly and without end in “Great Master” Airplane’s comments sections, his subscription payments and demands for updates never waned. (7 Seas, Ch. 26)

If Shen Yuan hadn't been caught up with the novel (as theory 3 would state) then it wouldn't make quite so much sense for him to be demanding updates, and if he hadn't been reading it for even a full month, there was no reason for him to make consistent subscription payments.

Ultimately, which theory you choose to believe depends somewhat on the way you view canon-- whether the seemingly contradicting statements were intentional, or whether they were merely a consistency error.

These are the only theories that I can think of, but feel free to add any additional theories + support quotes and analysis if you have them!

One final note, in regards to WHEN DID SHEN YUAN START READING?

If it's true that Shen Yuan began reading PIDW earlier in serialization, how early was that point? Was he reading it from the beginning, or did he start later?

I personally believe it was later. Though he says he was following the novel for years, that could mean anywhere from two to four years since the total serialization of PIDW took place over four years:

How could someone who’d cursed “dumbfuck author, dumbfuck novel” remember ancient content from the beginning of a serialized novel that had been running for four years and covered an in-narrative span of two hundred years? (7 Seas, Ch. 1)

While it's hard to place exactly when he started reading, it seems that Shen Yuan began to read PIDW before the Immortal Alliance Conference arc, as he discusses the novel's online performance before that point:

Before this event, Proud Immortal Demon Way’s performance online had been steadfastly lukewarm. But once the Immortal Alliance Conference Arc debuted, the reviews, comments, subscriptions, and tips all soared into the heavens. It wasn’t only because from that point forward, “Great Master” Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky abandoned the last of his already minimal moral principles... there was another important “it” factor. It was, in fact, the main element that had first compelled Shen Qingqiu to follow the novel until the end. The demonic beasts! (7 Seas, Ch. 4)

It also seems that he wasn't entirely dedicated to reading the novel before then. However, he may have caught up with the serialization a bit later-- for example, if he started reading just before the conference, he would have known that it was a little-known novel before, and been able to watch the rise in popularity in real time even if he himself hadn't caught up to the conference just yet, before only deciding to dedicate to reading the full novel once he caught up to that part.

There are many possibilities and uncertainties in regards to Shen Yuan's reading timeline, but I do think there is enough information here to form decently solid theories-- so I will leave it to my readers to decide, now that the information has been presented, which ones they think are most likely and which they wish to use in their analysis.

Since there are a lot of theories coming up at the moment, I want to join in now. Especially since a few theories make me question whether these people have ever ACTUALLY watched Clone Wars, Rebels, and Bad Batch.

It's about the new CX-2 clone from the latest episodes, season 3 episodes 6 & 7.

Many assumed it was Cody. Others say it's a clone of Crosshair itself. Others and most believe it's Tech, that I have to go along with.

And not just because he's my favorite, but morally in general.

First point:

Many say it's Cody because of the vibro knife and the art of using it. But if it had been Cody, he would have already had one and wouldn't have had to steal it first.

First of all, he didn't have the vibro knife with him from the start, he stole it from the clone he killed in the security room.

Second, if this CX clone was Cody, why is this never mentioned further elsewhere? It's never mentioned in Rebels, nor is it mentioned further. And Cody betrayed the Empire by running away. At best they would give him death, but not a second life as one of their own. And Cody, like Hunter, is a master with the vibro knife. Crosshair would never have been able to fight him off if it had been Cody. But he was able to keep up with him and even get the knife out of the CX clone's hand. With Cody, Crosshair would have died.

Third. The Bad Batch are more highly trained soldiers than Cody himself probably was, after all, the Bad Batch are special commandos. Accordingly, every single Bad Batch member could handle a vibro knife.

Second Point:

The theory of many that this CX-2 is a Crosshair clone. The technology and excellent knowledge to clone is in Nala Se's head. However, it was only with Omega's presence that Hemlock was able to get her to research and work for him. Accordingly, Hemlock only had access to the DNA and the knowledge of cloning and the knowledge of the Clone Force 99's DNA for a few months, if at all. He only had Crosshair himself in his hand for a few months, including his DNA. As we all know, growing too quickly is not good for clones, the best and sad example is Clone 99, who bravely gave his life in the fight for Kamino. He had grown too old too quickly and he was unfortunately disabled and unable to be a soldier. Therefore, the only thing the Kaminoans could do was double accelerated aging. Clones would have to grow for at least 10 years in order to be able to be a soldier without such complications. But Hemlock has only had DNA and cloning science in his hands for a few months. A Crosshair clone would therefore not be possible, as this clone would then be disfigured, similar to Clone 99. And yes, CX-2's shooting abilities are identical to those of Crosshair. But let’s get to point three first.

Point Three:

Here now to my last point. Tech. I most likely think it will be Tech.

Here is the explanation at the end of my second point. Shooter skills. CX-2 has equally excellent marksmanship capabilities as Crosshair. But I know the final episode of season two is emotional. But the shot Tech took to fall was excellent. So the next best shooter to Crosshair is? Exactly, it would be Tech. The connection that Tech had shot down on the wagon was out of reach and very far from Tech's position and he still had the entire wagon in the path of view of this connection. Nevertheless, he only fired a single shot, which went through the glass of the wagon and hit the connection, severing it. *A shot Crosshair would have praised him for.* So it would be highly likely that this CX-2 could also be Tech with this rifle and the accuracy. But not only that. His movements and his voice and his accent are also added. The helmet's modulator allows us to hear a voice in the undertone that a Reg doesn't have. It sounds a lot like Tech's voice, even if it's heavily filtered. (But clearly noticeable with headphones and increased volume and honest concentration). In particular, his grunts of pain, gasping for air, and moving the stones are identical to the grunts Tech made when he broke his femur and so on. His movements are also identical. Kicking Crosshair with his outstretched leg was identical to the kick Tech gave a clanker on Kaller. His posture when walking is also a little slouched, like Tech. *Like a shrimp, I've often read many posts once.* His intelligence to destroy all ships so that there are no means of escape. His tendency to simply disobey Wolffe's orders. *(When have we ever followed orders).* Infiltration, alone, unnoticed, fast, agile. And he knew exactly where to shoot to destroy the desk that Rex his clone friend was working on to connect the communications to get a rendezvous with Echo.

Ah, his equipment is also different than the other CX clones we've met so far. He always carries the backpack. He doesn't have a datapad, but he now has something similar on his right upper arm. He also has a visor that folds down, and the movements he makes to do so are identical to those that Tech always did with his visor. And the pocket around the thigh and the one pocket on the right lower leg. This is very unusual for the CX clones.

And he recognized Omega immediately. He had only been activated relatively recently and not much time had passed since then. He had no way of knowing for sure that this girl was Omega he was looking at. He also hadn't checked any holos of targets during screen time. Which means this CX-2 clone knew Omega and knew exactly that this girl was her. Many also claim it can't be Tech since he said clones instead of Regs when talking to Scorch (maybe Scorch). Maybe it's the change in himself. But if not, Tech would know full well to avoid using Reg. It is the Empire and the word Reg is not used by any of the Empire's clones, especially the CX clones. And then to his accent. Tech's British accent is very noticeable among all the clones. But even among his own Bad Batch brothers, his accent is very audible. And this CX-2 clone has a strong accent and its modulator in the helmet is even stronger than the other CX clones. If it were a reg, then a very strong modulator wouldn't make sense. All in all, this CX clone is very talented. But we all learned from Season 2 that Tech is the same way. He is a genius in all possible aspects. And he is a fully trained commando soldier, like his brothers. And if he is, he definitely received further training to become a CX clone.

Extra point: the memory wipe. Many also claim that it couldn't possibly be Tech because Crosshair said he himself was too defective for that. But let's take another look at the first episode of season 1. Tech said they're more deviant than defective. And another thing is the condition. Tech definitely didn't come out of this crash unscathed if he really is this CX-2. Accordingly, his mind and especially his body were perhaps very weakened and vulnerable to attack and take over. Crosshair was never healthy under Hemlock's care, but he wasn't very close to death's door. Tech, on the other hand, might have been.

And almost forgot to mention. His height has been changed from 1.93m to 1.82m, but why change his height when he is dead?!

Another extra point. It is the story of Clone Force 99, i.e. Crosshair, Tech, Hunter, Wrecker, Echo and Omega. It's not Cody's story and, in fact, it's also not just Rex's. Rex appears often at the moment, but he is not one of the protagonists. The protagonists are the members of Clone Force 99, and their story is written, not others. That's exactly why I believe that the CX-2 clone has something to do with the Clone Force 99, i.e. Tech, the only one missing from the group, the family.

So yes, it could most likely be Tech, alive.

But it's not canon, not yet. I have my own theory as you all have your own. I hope it was still informative and that you can get a little more out of it.

I'm all for the headcanon that Anastacha is Francis' daughter. There's even the famous phrase 'The Milkman's Daughter'.

However, it's because of this phrase and the story behind it that I'm just not on board with the idea that Francis and Nacha were married and now divorced. Francis is THE MILKMAN! It's a long time joke (and it stems from many, many true stories) that housewives have affairs with the milkman while he does his rounds. When a child looks nothing like the rest of their family, people might jokingly refer to them as 'the milkman's kid', implying they're an affair child. My thoughts on all this? Nacha and our milk boy, Francis, did some homemade milk shaking while Nacha's actual husband was either at work or getting eaten by Doppelgangers. Or maybe Mr Husband noped out of the marriage when he figured Anastacha wasn't his.

Maybe there was never a husband and Nacha just found herself knocked up with the Milkman's kid. Either way, I don't think they had a relationship that stemmed more than just sating each other's needs during the milk round. I don't think Francis even knows he has a daughter unless Nacha would have told him. But hey; there's room for them to grow close together and bond if that's your kind of thing. I just don't think they were ever married or in an actual, dating, relationship.

I can't believe only now am i just realizing that biased flashbacks vs real unbiased flashbacks in monkie kid are animated differently

Any biased flashback is all told with still frames, stylized art, or only the main people in the memory moving while everyone else is still in the background

Think Shadowplay, think Azure Lions narration using the scrolls, think LBD's forced flashes of the future and past to Monkey King and Macaque, think DBK's story of the Samadhi fire.

All of those are either stylized, still frames, frozen figures, or sometimes all three.

Whereas the unbiased, real flashbacks are fully animated in the usual style. The opening of New Adventures (s4 ep2,) the beginning of The Samadhi Fire episode in season 3... they're animated like usual episodes. Everyone is always moving, things are always happening, expressions are changing, all that kinda stuff.

Vox can understand Velvette just fine. They don't necessarily need to get along all the time, but they have a mutually beneficial contract that guarantees her support in the most efficient way possible, just how they both like it, short and strict and to the point. Vox does not understand Valentino. It drives him unimaginably, disgustingly insane. He knows how to handle him, make no mistake. Valentino is a never-ending powerhouse that wrangles out content from his employees like there is no tomorrow. He's proven himself to be Vox's most lucrative investment yet. He is resourceful, well-connected and most importantly predictable enough to rein in. Because he listens to you, because he needs you.

He is also, undeniably, out of his goddamn mind. Yet you've already invested too much in the corporate empire you've built together and there is no point turning back now that you have him so close to your side. It's OK however! He couldn't possibly be stupid enough to throw away the best partnership deal he's ever had just for the sake of something petty cause -oh, wait - he genuinely might just be that stupid and you never would've guessed because he's so cocksure of his bullshit that 80% of the time it ends up working in his favor anyway.

Fuck his life indeed. The kicker for this of course is that Valentino, genuinely does believe he has struck gold with Vox. Valentino is a clingy, possessive, immature, perverted, sadistic, egotistical man-child with severe rage issues and zero impulse control. No he is not aware of this at all. No he does not know why nobody is able to tolerate him and why every single person he gets close to hates his guts with every inch of their burning rotting souls. All he knows is that hell has now given him a flat faced prince in shining liquid crystal armour, riding on a cash filled horse with promises of power and luxury, who's practically handing him success on a silver platter. Doesn't mean that Val trusts him, doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy seeing him lose his shit. But at the end of the day vox has his back, and as long as Val keeps calling for him, he'll eventually turn up and make everything better. Cause hey if Vox hasn't left him yet for this long he must be doing something right. Right?
