thinking yet again about Saiki‘s’s final choice in the series being “I’d rather live with my powers than die without them” bc that is seriously the single best ending of a disability narrative I’ve seen. Fuck.

#The thing people don’t tell u about being physically disabled #Is that you’ll see the physically abled people in your life start to view you as something tragic #And while they rarely say it when it comes down to things #They think you’re better dead than disabled. That you’d be happier put out of your misery. #Even with stories involving disabled characters (If we’re anything beyond a background diversity shot which is… rare) #It’s about “curing” or “overcoming” your disability which is I guess a nice sentiment but most of us won’t ever do that #Saiki doesn’t do either of those things #He wants to be cured and briefly thinks he is but then it’s discovered that he Cant be cured bc his powers are part of the whole of him #He doesn’t ever overcome them either #He just puts his glasses back on and decides that if it means he can live another day then he’ll continue to deal with them #And his powers are progressive #And that’s a thing weighing on him but it’s never treated like a death sentence #It’s just something he has to and will deal with #And it sucks but what else is he gonna do #It’s just. The death of Nex & queer people like him scares me.

It scares me because that could've been me.

It scares me because that could've been my friends.

And it scares me even more knowing that if I knew him, we probably could've been friends.

He deserved to live.

He deserved to live to 17.

He deserved to graduate high school.

He deserved to grow up and accomplish things.

And now that he's gone, he deserves to have the full truth told about his death.

We know Thalia threw Percy under the bus by making sure he'd be the prophecy child instead of her...but Percy wasn't able to do that to Nico even if he wanted to. He has no option to be immortal. The prophecy was always going to fall to Percy because he's two years older than Nico and that's how time works.

IN A WAY YES? however if we're keeping in mind the fucked up lore with all the gods then it's 100% canon. that mf died like 5 times at this point and she got killed by a god once

Story explanation:

Kinkstreak, Oddflower and Ganderspeckle are littermates. Ganderspecke becomes mates with Opheliabite and Oddflower becomes mates with Kingwing. At some point, Ganderspeckle and Kingwing start an affair and much later down the line have a kit, Faithkit, that Opheliabite was led to believe was his. Oddflower has been suspecting the two of cheating and eventually confronts Ganderspeckle which turns violent and Ganderspeckle gets killed. Kinkstreak helps cover up the murder, then later during the vigil, Flowerpelt, who's been suspicious of and spying on his father for a while now, outs his secret affair and accuses him of killing Ganderspeckle. Kinkstreak finds this awfully convenient and lies in support of Flowerpelt to frame Kingwing. Opheliabite snaps and tackles Kingwing, who after getting free runs away and never returns to the clan.

Shortly after this, their leader and mother Coyotestar, being unable to cope with the loss of her kit, decides to step down and Kinkstreak is promoted to leader.
